#look I’ve only read gone girl and sharp objects#But wtf why are people calling her books revolutionary and feminist#Amy Dunne is the product of a privileged background she’s not a classic example of female rage#Her male characters are 2d and unlikable they have barely any personality#Sharp objects was just a roulette of hmmm which fucked up thing shall I add to this book#I just don’t get the point#Writing a book isn’t smushing together as many traumatic scenes at once#And omg#Her endings are the worst#No retribution in gone girl? No closure in sharp objects?#Open endings are fine if the book at least made sense I just don’t GET what the point of it was#Also I figured out the ending for sharp objects like before the halfway point#I get it maybe it’s not for me#But people treating Amy dunne and the other women like feminist icons is just crossing the line#They are the very OPPOSITE of feminism like what#gone girl#sharp objects#idk man I’m just annoyed
