#But what about the people that have followed me for previous fanart from that fandom and they end up reblogging?

Iâve noticed a trend that whenever I get into a fandom and make it my main obsession that I simultaneously have the best and worst social experiences of my life. Sometimes it makes me want to not share my interests in fear of having it happen again, other times I put on rose-tinted glasses and think about how fun it was back then even if i was hurting. I think thatâs why I flip-flop a lot and be inconsistent on forcing myself to focus on ocs and âswearing off drawing xyzâ . Not that I donât enjoy drawing my ocs because I absolutely do (the one thing that probably canât be entirely tainted by others), but when I wanna draw fan content I hate being put into spotlight in a community. Of course, I can just not post fanart, but simultaneously I almost feel guilty because the social side of me wants to bring joy and share an interest.Â
#first it happened with FNAF then it happened with Undertale then it happened with SU then it happened with Cookie Run#and probably some other things I can't think of atm#I kind of wish there was a way to just post fanart but simultaneously be perceived and NOT perceived yknow?#like I dont want major attention to my fanart but I wanna be in my little rat corner#And not have to worry about coming across discourse or people that will change the trajectory of my life or some shit#I find its a little more comforting when I end up not tagging fanart#But what about the people that have followed me for previous fanart from that fandom and they end up reblogging?#i still get perceived somehow. And that scares me.#I don't even know if im making sense. I'm probably the only one with this issue. idk.

List of Tokyo Debunker Fandom Tags & Yume/MC Ships Guides to Help You Navigate Twitter
Since the fandom is growing, I feel like it'd be handy to have a list like this. Please note that some of the tags below don't actually exist yet! I just compiled it using my knowledge from previous fandoms.
#æ±ăăŁăç””æ (toudiba efuda) - General fanart tag. It's usually frowned upon to upload shippy art on the main tag (no matter what kind. Yes, yume included) so please be careful!
#tkdb怹 (tkdb yume) / #æ±ăăŁă怹 (toudiba yume) - General yume tag. Scopes including both Character x default MC and OC x Canon.
#tkdbăă©ăč (tkdb plus) - Often used interchangeably with #tkdb怹. Yume works posted with this tag have the general "sweet romance" feel.
#ç
ăżăźtkdbăă©ăč (yami no tkdb plus) - For yume works where the canon character is depicted as a yandere / harboring some kind of twisted love for the yume MC. Sometimes used together with #tkdbăă€ăăč tag if the scenario fits.
#tkdbăă€ăăč (tkdb minus) - For yume works that deal with more niche, darker themes generally unsuitable with the positive vibes of plus yume works. Themes vary including but not limited to: forever one-sided feelings, angst, character death, break up, domestic violence, cheating, bad / merry bad endings, gore, etc. Basically if you see works tagged as this, that'd be your Dead Dove: Do Not Eat warning.
#ć€ăźtkdbăă©ăč (yoru no tkdb plus) - General R-18 yume works.
çčćŸ
çăĄăă (tokutaisei-chan) - Honor Student / The MC. Since Tokyo Debunker MC doesn't have a default name, this is usually how the fans refer to her when talking about her. The canon MC, if you will.
ć”äœçčćŸ
ç (sousaku tokutaisei) - Original rendition of the Honor Student. Visual design, personality, gender, and backstory may be different to the canon MC.
ć”äœćŻźç (sousaku ryousei) - Original (Darkwick) Student that's completely separate from the Honor Student. This term isn't exclusive to Tokyo Debunker so if you only put "ć”äœćŻźç" on the search bar you'll get OCs from other franchises too (Twisted Wonderland & Harry Potter, to name a few).
Some character x canon MC ship names
ć çč (kamutoku) - Jin x Honor Student
äŒŻçč (hatoku / hakutoku) - Haku x Honor Student
çżçč (shoutoku) - Sho x Honor Student
Those three are currently the only ones popular enough to have people using a dedicated ship names when making works about them. If you want to see the other characters x canon MC ship works, you'll have better luck searching "#tkdb怹 / #tkdbăă©ăč + (character's name)" instead.
As for canon x canon character ships, usually a fandom would create specific è
tag for it (like #ăă€è
ă for twst) but since the fandom is still pretty small, I don't think anyone has came up with a proper è
tag for Tokyo Debunker. I could've just missed it tho, since I only follow people who post yume and general non-shippy works so feel free to let me know!
For now, you can try your luck by combining the first kanji of two characters' given name. Keep in mind that Japanese fandom is usually much more strict about ship naming tho. AB â BA!
I think that's all of it for now. Thank you for reading! I'll leave a kitty Rui here so you can stare at how cute he is~ ;3c

Hello, my name is NattiKay, and welcome to my blog! Before you follow, thereâs a thing you should know about how I do fandom.
Basically, it can take one of two forms. The first is casual fandomsâthis includes various media I enjoy and will like/reblog posts about, maybe even doodle for on rare occasions. I can have several of these simultaneously.
But the secondâand much more visibleâis a âmainâ fandom, which you can also call hyperfixation or special interest if you wish. I only have one of these at a time, it lasts for years, and it pretty much takes over my life and blog during that time. Once every few years or so my brain will latch on to a new âmainâ fandomâI donât know what triggers it to switch, and I have zero control over when it happens or to what.
My current special-interest fandom is Avatar (James Cameron/blue people), with a bonus mini-fixation on the Na'vi language. My favorite characters are the Sully family and much of my art focuses on them right now.
Previous special-interest fandoms that Iâve had during my time on tumblr are, in descending order of recency:
Trollhunters/Tales of Arcadia Miraculous Ladybug Inuyasha
I make this distinction to say that if you recently found this blog through fanart of one of these previous fixations and followed hoping for more, Iâm sorry to say youâre going to be disappointed.
When my fixation switches, I loose interest in actively creating content for the previous fandom because all my energy gets dedicated to the new one. This does not at all mean that I no longer like the previous onesâI may still reblog posts about them here and thereâjust that I no longer have the inspiration to be producing a bunch of art/comics/etc for them the way I used to. Theyâve essentially moved from main fandom to casual fandoms. Yes, this will happen one day for my current fixation too, though I have no way of predicting when.
I will not be offended if you follow me during one fixation and then unfollow when it switches. I will also not be offended if you recently found this blog through my old content from previous fandoms and then choose not to follow because of this post: like I said, if you follow hoping for new art from those, youâre gonna be let down đ
#(figured I should have a new pinned post that isnât ML-specific like the old one đ
)#still feel free to follow if you still want to of course!#just donât be expecting new art from previous fixations#shoutout to the folks who have stuck with me through multiple fixations yâall are great; sorry for doing this to your dash lol#(to anyone who might being saying âbut wait didnât you say atla was one of your previous fixations? why isnât that on the list?â)#(the answer is yes yes it was! but that was pre-tumblr so I doubt anyoneâs gonna be finding this blog through that lol)

Zelink Community is highlighting... @wouldyoustilllovemeifiwasawyrm!
"My name is Fyre and Iâm a zelinkaholic. Iâve been in this fandom for a little over a year and written a little over two novelsâ worth of fanfiction. Iâve loved every second of being in this fun, lively fandom and I look forward to all the Echoes of Wisdom fanart and fanfic that weâll create!"
Check out some of their work:
A Lullaby For a Princess (Rated Mature) Five months following the end of the events of Tears of the Kingdom, Link and Zelda return home to Hateno, overseeing the rebuilding of Castle Town from afar as the Princess readjusts herself to her previous life. But the past haunts her still, seeding doubts as to her fitness to lead the people of Hyrule. A surprise pregnancy has the hero and his princess running to the Sheikah for advice. Turns out there's a lot more to expanding the royal family than either had imagined. Zelda's doubts follow her like shadows. Even the Master Sword isn't sharp enough to cut through the memories of centuries of perceived failure. Rebuild Castle Town, re-establish the monarchy, resolve unprocessed trauma, and learn how to change diapers? It's a lot for a princess and her appointed knight to handle.
Excuse Me, Princess After the end of the events of the series, Link and Zelda retrieve the Triforce of Power from Ganon's destroyed underworld. With the evil wizard run out of Hyrule and both pieces of the Triforce now safely in Hyrule Castle, what does the princess need her hero for? Apparently, finding a forgotten third piece.
My Lady, My Lady My first day under the Princess of Hyrule was astoundingly unremarkable. Elevated from my previous service by the head housekeeper, Mrs. Ria, who never liked anybody and, I thought, especially not me, I soon found myself led to the princessâs chambers to learn under the senior maid. Elanor desperately wanted to leave the princessâs service and was told in no uncertain terms that breaking her contract with the castle without first training a new maid to take her place would result in a forfeiture of her last month of wages. I assumed that Elanor simply wished to leave the service to marry one of the guards, since she spoke of them often enough at mealtimes. I could think of no other reason why anyone would give up such a covetable position as Princess Zeldaâs ladyâs maid. I was soon to learn the truth of the matter.
Find Them on Social Media:
@wouldyoustilllovemeifiwasawyrm can also be found on AO3 under fyreflare!
Have something nice to say about Fyre and/or their work? Drop a comment or send them an ask!

Ok not to kick this up again, but a few of the people that rbed your post/ask answer about how itâs not just about the art/fics white people create, but also poc artists need to step up and draw poc people, are white people/white artists and i really canât help but feel some type of way about it. Esp bc they didnât like or rb your other posts speaking up about racism FROM white creators in this fandom AND some had also recently supported a friend of theirs that had attacked a poc person after they pointed out how white centric this fandom is. This is the type of coded behavior in this fandom that makes me so uncomfortable. I see what people support and donât support. Like maâam you wonât rb posts about racism and inclusion thatâs addressing the white people like yourself but youâll rb a post saying poc people in this fandom need to do better to make it inclusive? I see you. And this isnât at ALL about what you said, I understand your point entirely, itâs about THEM and how they move.
What you said does have validity to it and I think itss something that should be addressed, though I am gonna hit more on things Iâve noticed, because thereâs a lot that goes on behind the scenes. As in interactions with my account people think I donât see because they try to undo it quickly or hope I donât notice.
Also, if youâre referring to the stuff that happened the week before last, it was amongst two POCs. Both are people of color which is why I stressed in my previous heavy hitter that we have to try understanding each othersââonce again talking about within the POC demographicâviewpoints and where weâre coming from because it was a misunderstanding that seemed to spiral. Most of it occurred when I was not active on tumblr, so I canât say much about it, but I do think that needs to be cleared up, because it wasnât a white creator attacking a POC person. Misunderstanding. Iâm not ignorant enough to say all POCs get along in the world, but people seemed to think it was a white person vs POC and thatâs not the case. Onto the rest of it:
I noticed a couple people liking and then unliking my posts about the racial issues, though my last post received more engagement. Iâm happy my point was made, because it is a serious issue within the POC community but so is the blatant racism and ignorance (as in actively ignoring it) when I talk about white creators purposely excluding people of color, and this is obviously not just amongst POCs.
It didnât get a lot of reblogs or traction, but it got more than those other posts (this one will also follow in the lack of interaction), and POC readers see that. We see everyone agreeing with that point, being like YES!! POCs need to be more involved if they want representation, preach!! and then we see even more people being like OOP, sheâs talking about white creators needing to not exclude people of color? Let me pretend I didnât see it, scrolllll. Or even unfollow (which yes, I notice)đ
if you can reblog me saying not to hate on artists for drawing themselves in their fanart as the race they are, then you can easily reblog me telling white creators not to intentionally leave POC out of something that is meant to be a Reader (as in ANYONE reading it, including people of color) insert. same applies to other white creators who speak up about it, I notice their other posts get interacted with a lot more than the one in which they speak about the issue. and clearly, Iâm not the only one who notices. itâs telling.
Iâm not implicating everyone who reblogged that post, Iâm aware some of you didnât even follow me until then and some of you did reblog my other posts and some of you simply agreed with my point right then (Iâm talking to the POCs specifically with that last postâthat wasnât a Dear White People post, it was to other POCs, but again, that got more interaction than anytime I address white creatorsâand yes, I am aware itâs not all of youâwhich shouldnât be the case given how the majority of the fandom is white).
if this post makes you feel guilty, makes you wanna scroll past it and not think about how you wanna stay mum on the subject, you may want to think about why and how privileged you are to even be able to do so in the first place. we should all feel welcome here and thereâs always a chance to right our wrongs (or in this case write our wrongs, heh :D ) đ©”
your POC friends and followers see you. they know what youâre doing. they do talk about it amongst each other, where they feel safe. donât exclude them and let them down. make them feel safe with you. let them know they are. we donât expect you to write black!reader, or Latinx!Reader, etc. because youâre not part of our groups so you canât accurately depict us. we just want to read about reader. and not how they canât step outside without getting a sunburn or tanning their pale skin. if you donât wanna reblog my long ass posts then do something else. a simple âhey POC followers, youâre safe hereâ is a good start.
if for some reason, weâre not safe on your blog so you canât say it, thatâs uh, thatâs real unfortunate. but also, maybe let everyone know that.
And to my friends who make sure their work is inclusive, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MY BELOVED FRIENDS, thanks for letting me and a ton of other people who are scared and scarred from previous interactions over the years see ourselves in your fics đ„čâ€ïžâđ„

Art Raffle! naruto fanfic writers appreciation ! /round14
To note: THIS IS A NARUTO RAFFLE, I will not accept other fandoms
What you have to do to enter this raffle: REBLOG this post andâŠread the post ? XD You donât  need to be a follower. (though follows are highly appreciated, of  course! <3) Just, again, please read the whole post. I donât want people to ask me later to draw things that Iâve said below that I wonât draw.
How will I go about this:
I  will collect all the people who reblogged this post and list them.  Each  of the participants will have a number which will be later drawn  using  random.org
The art I offer for this raffle will be based on  fanfics. Meaning  that the winner gets to pick a story of their own to  which I will draw  fanart of. If said winner does not write, they are  free to pick their  favorite story that is written by a different  person. Even if you do  write, you can still pick a different personâs  story
I know some  fanfic writers out there really appreciate art  being based on their  stories, so Iâve decided to do this little thing!
For  those of you  who neither write nor read, thatâs too bad. But I might  sometimes in  the future make a raffle that is not like the ones Iâve  usually held. So  keep your head up~ (yo, seriously, please read the  whole post if you really want to enter this raffle. I will know if you  donât. *glare*// tag âficloveâ in your tags when reblogging this post so  I know youâve actually went through w/ reading the post). If you are  one of those people though, but know  someone who writes you can sure  give your winning prize to them. Be  kind, do good.
Please donât  throw a 100k long fic at me, it will take me forever to read XD but if  thatâs just the fic you really want to get art for, go ahead. Just have  in mind Iâll be extremely slow w/ reading it.
Characters I do NOT  want to draw:  Sakura, Sasuke, Orochimaru, anyone from team Taka, Baki,  Tajima,  Butsuma, TenTen, Kinkaku/Ginkaku, Danzo, Hiruzen, characters  from the  Boruto  generation (theyâre just characters I have 0 interest in;;  nothing too  personal) ( my commissions are open to these characters  though; haha)
Things I would LOVE to draw (but not limited to) : fluff/romantic stuff <3 , battles! >:O , friendship yay! and of course⊠smut
some ships I would LOVE  to draw  (but not limited to) : MadaTobi, IzuTobi,  KakaObi, KakaIru,  HashiMada,  MadaObi, ShikaTema, KoteIzu, Itama/Izuna, KakaTenzo,  NaruHina,  SaiIno (list goes from my current hype to lowest hype atm)
one thing I keep forgetting to add on here the previous times:
I  will NOT draw underage; kinks I find unpleasing; ships I find  unpleasing; incest; etc. // if youâre unsure, feel free to ask (you guys  feel free to ship whatever you want, just donât make me draw it XD)
ITâS ALL ABOUT LOVE
DEADLINE FOR ENTERING THE RAFFLE IS THE 4TH OF APRIL
#art raffle#raffle#naruto#madatobi#sinyaru speaks#fanfic appreciation#after some thought I decided to do it after all#I haven't been feeling good in my life lately and feeling absent from the fandom felt weird as well#I'm trying to slowly come back and it's not only coming back to fandom but coming back to art as a whole...idk what to do w my life anymore

Hey!! This is the anon from a while back who had that convo with you about quirkless discrimination with your cannon vs fannon posts. The one who sent a way too long ask haha.
I still havenât picked back up BNHA, just still dinking around in the earlier seasons with my writing after dropping it so long ago due to the exact reason you outlined; I stopped watching due to a certain character stagnating while saying theyâre changing. Which I find amusing how prevalent that problem is in so many arcs that itâs the reason I stopped watching the show actual years ago (though not solely, it was that + a combination of other things with that arc but it really exasperated it) and youâre now talking about the same exact issue for the end of it. I donât even feel like I can say itâs due to external pressures rather then just a weak point of the writer at this point tbh.
But, besides that, on the topic of why I initially started this ask, I just wanted to say itâs interesting to hear the story has still done squat with quirklessness, really goes to show the whole glaring divide in exactly what we where talking about so long ago. Full circle kinda?? It really is such a shame the show never went into it and kinda failed to scratch the surface of anything with how compelling it would have been and how easily it could have tied into the whole of the seriesâ themes.
But hey, like you said, thereâs always fanfics. Just thought Iâd send in an ask about it since it was fun talking to you about it last time.
Now that itâs over, I might give the show another shot, for old times sake, weâll see!
Oh as an add on, as the fannon vs cannon anon, I do want to put a note that since I havenât seen the thing myself Iâm not making too strong opinions on it or agreeing with everything in that post, just contemplating the specific stuff I talked about in that previous anon ask as a sort of now outsider to the series.
This isnât a âoh youâre wrong!â but making sure people know Iâm not blindly following things Iâve read about a series rather then forming opinions around it from first hand cannon, HA! Iâll do that when I maybe start watching it againâŠone dayâŠ

(The post under discussion)
Hello again! Glad you're still enjoying the fandom space and haha, it's ironic that this issue is why you dropped the show. I'm also going to caveat that I'm not trying to dunk on Horikoshi or be a bitter hater. The issues I'm bringing up are par for the course for most serial writing, way harder to avoid than they seem. I really liked MHA overall and have huge respect for Horikoshi's writing, art, and ability to keep his sanity while bringing this behemoth to life.
Anyway, a response.
I mentioned a few aspects where quirklessness got brought in later in the story, but overall, yeah, it still felt kind of⊠vestigial. To me it felt like the author threw it out there at first thinking it was a cool idea, then later went "ugh, shit, that's not actually where I want to focus. I can't retcon it, so let's just... minimize it and move on." A lot of times when big series start, they toss out a whole bunch of possible story hooks and then narrow down to just a few that they're actually going to spend serious time on... anyone who gets hooked on a premise that doesn't end up being developed further can be left feeling disappointed.
I suspect this is exactly the reason why MHA has such a giant fandom. The show's clown-car cast means that pretty much no character really gets "deep" treatment. Instead we get 1,000 tantalizing flashes of really, really cool possibilities. We get sucked in by an awesome idea, get frustrated when the cool character/premise barely gets touched again after that, and then feverishly fill the empty space with fanfic and fanart. (I'm lucky that my favorites, Izuku and All Might, were about the most main of main characters, and even they felt somewhat shallow. I can't imagine the agony of being, say, a Momo fan.)
Unfortunately when a story does this, it also means that it's inevitably going to disappoint its fanbase. It tossed out 1,000 awesome ideas but it only has space to cultivate a small handful of those into proper plotlines⊠not only is it sad to see all the unused plot threads peter out, but usually the realized story ends up outright contradicting at least a few very popular fan theories and hopes. This doesn't mean the story's bad, far from it. But in these weekly-chapter stories where fans have years or decades to get attached to their interpretations and predictions, praying each week that yes, it seems like a long shot, but maybe the story will veer off into X⊠things quickly spiral into enormous bitterness when those decades of hope are finally snuffed out for good. (This same phenomenon makes me dread the eventual end of One PieceâŠ)
MHA had a lot of people going "it's not like other shonen!" because it had lots of promising ideas. But it turned out that⊠yes, it is just another shonen. Shonen are tons of fun, and I love MHA overall. But man, it got hit hard by those high expectations.
I was a bit harsh (and incorrect) in my post, saying Izuku/All Might haven't changed at ALL, and that quirklessness meant NOTHING. It gets outright confusing when there are characterization backsies like the ones I described. Which is canon: the single panel where a character says "quirklessness is a big deal to me!" or the way that every other character behavior and plot point screams "sure doesn't seem like it"? They're both real. And this discrepancy depends on the reader's interpretation too: I'm extremely picky about characterization, while someone less anal might not see any contradiction at all. So we get All Might fans insisting that the show made quirkless issues into a huge enormous part of the plot/characters, and meanwhile I don't see it, and get annoyed and preachy because it feels like the narrative is being unfairly ascribed depth and profundity that I really wanted but never actually saw from it. How dare!
ANYWAY, I highly recommend checking out the rest of the show. I have a feeling the final arc is going to look amazing in animated form once it's finally done. The final section is a combo of delightfully over-the-top shonen insanity and surprisingly weighty outcomes. We can debate whether it really earned those outcomes, but I'm at least pleased that it tried.

Some things I need to say about harmless and legal ships that are always disrespected and harassed by fandoms and Shipper Michikatsu x ex-wife need to respect other Kokushibo/Michikatsu ships(Except toxic, proship and comship)
This, I'm just talking about certain people, not everyone, if you're not one of them then ok and fine . First of all, I see a lot of people always harassing and commenting negative things about harmless and legal ships, including my ships, which can't escape it, even sending threats, I can't understand. Why can't you respect other people's ships? Maybe even ignore it instead of paying attention? Even harmless and legal ships are always slandered instead of toxic, proship and comship . This is quite funny, especially I see it a lot on Tik Tok and Pinterest .
Even harmless and legal ships are always called "forced", "This ship is so random" and "Why does this ship exist?"No one needs your opinion, let others ship what they want especially when it's harmless and legal like shipping Genmui, Uzuiren, Tanzen, Muinezu, Shinomitsu, Renshino, Rengiyuu, Saneoba, Kokunaki, Kokudou , Giyumitsu and etc. I almost see a lot of people attacking them but you support and ship ships like Uzuizen, Kokuaka, Douaka, Kokuzan, Michikatsu x ex-wife, Nakidaki, Giyuutan, Rentan, Doukoto, Doushino...so illogical . Do you know what that is called? That's hypocritical
Leave others alone!! You guys even leave stupid comments on the fanart of such ships like "They're just friends" or "They have no interaction" with Shinomitsu . No interaction??? So have you ever touched Fanbooks and Light Novels? Just friends? So what? that can't stop others from shipping them, even in real life there are many people who started out as friends and later became lovers. That's why other people ship them in a romantic way in AU! IT'S AU!!"Mitsuri is married to Obanai" ? Yes, that's in the next life and not in the previous life, no one ships Mitsuri with with anyone else in the next life, ok?
Tanzen, Genmui, Zenkana, Muinezu and .v.v. also needs to be respected, I see a lot of people hate this ship and I can't understand why . They are legal and harmless ships and you guys are crazy about ships like this??? So what is the meaning of this ship battle?
This is what I want to say the most about the Kokunaki and Kokudou ships, these are probably the two best ships of Kokushibo but they are harassed a lot and not respected especially in Shipper Michikatsu x ex-wife always comments "But Kokushibo has a wife and 2 kids" and "Everyone else please ship Michikatsu with his wife instead of with Nakime, Douma or anyone else" excuse me??? What? It's like you force others to follow your ideas and not have their own opinions and feelings
Not to mention some Michikatsu x ex-wife Shippers also treat people who are negative about the Michikatsu x ex-wife ship the same as people who hate the straight ship.
Ship Michikatsu x ex-wife is also very toxic because Michikatsu abandoned her and the children . Before meeting Yoriichi he described her and his children's with lives as "boring/meaningless" and always felt that they made his time pass very slowly, wow!! I see that almost many people ignore this and that no one in this world loves but feels that their lover's life is meaningless/boring and even feels that they make time pass very slow . If you say "He abandoned his wife and children because of blind jealousy" please excuse me again? Do you know how blindly jealous people work? While at first Michikatsu only wanted to be like Yoriichi, a blindly jealous person who would never want to be like anyone else but instead always wanted to be superior, Michikatsu would only be blinded by becoming the demon that was Kokushibo at that time he started wanting to surpass Yoriichi, even Fanbook 2 expressed this quite clearly and you should never make any excuses for this
If you're going to say "But he loves his wife because he said Blessed to her" Huh? you read the fandom's translated manga? In the original he doesn't say that . According to the original, he said "ç§ăŻćŠ»ă暶ăćäŸă«ăæ”ăŸăă "(ăăăăŻă€ăŸăăăšăăă©ăă«ăăăăŸăă )â "I married a wife and Blessed with children" then Blessed with her is in where ? He just uses it for his children instead of her
So he never loved his ex-wife and If you say "If he didn't love her then why did he have a child with her?" So have you ever heard about the policy of maintaining descendants??That is also something that often happened and was extremely normal in ancient times in the Orient, Even if you yourself do not love your partner, you are still required to marry them and have children. If you refuse and do not comply, you will suffer severe consequences from your family and society. Their marriage is implied to be an arrangement by the father because the father is the only one happy about this while Michikatsu is not, this It is not surprising that in the era of Yoriichi and Michikatsu, arranged marriages by family or society regularly took place and everyone followed them. This was an important traditional culture of the time. That is also the Eastern countries in general . Love was never a priority in that era, in many cases, even marriage in ancient times was often considered a sham, where maintaining the bloodline and descendants were often placed above all else run out of .The main purpose of marriage may not be for love but to preserve the family line, property, or even for social benefit. Perhaps the exceptions are Yoriichi and Uta . As for Sumiyoshi and Suyaka, I'm not sure . In short, arranged marriages in ancient times were very common and it was also an extremely important culture embedded there, which is also the reason why there are many toxic marriages and not happy .
This is no offense, but the fact that Michikatsu abandoned his wife and children and never even intended to return makes me wonder how his ex-wife will live when she has to take care of and raise two children alone ? In that era, no woman became a single mother
In ancient times, in traditional Japanese society, being a single mother was not a common or highly valued choice. Women are often expected by society to get married, have children and raise children in a warm and stable family. Becoming a single mother often faces many difficulties and pressures from society, because the responsibility of raising children is often considered the shared responsibility of both parents.
Becoming a single mother is not a common choice or goal that women set. Traditional societies often place a strong emphasis on family values ââand the role of each family member, and raising children is often considered the shared responsibility of both parents. Women often want to have a warm and stable family, and being a single mother is often not considered an ideal goal or choice in traditional society. Even Michikatsu never visited them after becoming a demon hunter, never remembered them, and never kept any mementos related to them and have you ever thought about what the consequences would be for Michikatsu's ex-wife after being abandoned by Michikatsu? In ancient times, if women were abandoned by their husbands, they often faced criticism and contempt from their family and surrounding society. The fact that a woman is abandoned by her husband can be considered a loss of integrity, unable to maintain family happiness, and cause shame to her family and relatives is "The Failed Wife". In a traditional society, this can lead to loss of face and social isolation for abandoned women, leading to great mental and psychological pressure. In traditional society that , a woman's abandonment could result in the loss of her reputation and prestige. Men are often appreciated for their loyalty and family responsibility, while women are often pressured to maintain happiness and stability in the family. Therefore, if a woman is abandoned, she may face disdain and condemnation from society, leading to the loss of reputation and status in the community. This can cause many difficulties and challenges for women in daily life. Just as I'm pretty sure Michikatsu's ex-wife endured all of this, I feel like forcing her to ship with Michikatsu makes me feel even worse for her and it's like slapping her in the face, I'd rather leave her alone, some people call the Michikatsu x ex-wife ship "best ship" means you guys need help too . I don't forbid you from shipping them, but for you to denounce and slander Michikatsu/Kokushibo's other ships, Kokudou and Kokunaki, while your ship itself is more toxic than those two ships, you should keep quiet and ignore it instead of smearing other people's ships . At least, Kokunaki and Kokudou have more reasons to ship, have better dynamism and motivation. Kokunaki is the only straight Kokushibo ship that I respect and support . Even though they don't interact, that doesn't mean it's bad . Both Kokunaki and Kokudou have my care
Some Michikatsu x ex-wife Shippers even support Doukoto, Kokuaka and Douaka ships? It's ridiculous and hypocritical
Michikatsu is not only jealous of Yoriichi but he also admires Yoriichi at that time in the words of Michikatsu's inner monologue "ç§ăŻăăźćŒ·ăăšćŁæăă©ăăăŠă" (ăăăăŻăăźă€ăăăšăăăăă©ăăăŠă ) it will The most accurate and meaningful translation is "I couldn't help but admire his swordsmanship and strength" That's why he initially just wanted to be like Yoriichi
And abandoning them had nothing to do with blind jealousy as much as Michikatsu himself found a new path for fulfilling his dream of becoming the strongest Samurai and also as he himself searched for the meaning of life and marriage was never what he wanted and his marriage was not stable from the beginning. Even fanbook 2 emphasized that the only person in Michikatsu/Kokushibo's heart is Yoriichi as Michikatsu himself only has family love without any kind of romantic love at all throughout the series.
In addition, over time, his wife and children were no longer alive, so now Kokushibo has no wife or children, according to the law, which is also very clear for those who no longer have a spouse and children so let other people ship Kokushibo with anyone else if they want and Shipper Michikatsu x ex-wife stop attacking Kokushibo's other ships . Harassing other people's ships is not a smart or mature thing to do . Remember, it's just "SHIP" even if you're a fan, you should respect it and ignore it, it's not difficult, you can still block if you feel uncomfortable but don't make harassing or hateful comments. It only gives you headaches, more discomfort and doesn't solve anything
Also, those Michikatsu x ex-wife Shippers who say that "this ship is canon because they are both married" should stop spreading this false information, being married does not mean there is love/romance or canon. And even if out there, do you see many canon couples without marriage? Let's look at the typical example of Hakukoyu, they are not married yet but they are still canon and they only got married in AU Kimetsu Gakuen(Regarding Hakukoyu, I'm only talking about KNY, not Kimetsu Gakuen) , so let's say, is "marriage" important in the canon couple? Definitely not, "Marriage" is just an appearance, the important thing for the canon couple is the connection and love on both sides, just as Gotouge Koyoharu has never declared or created a connection or romance between Michikatsu and his ex-wife, nor like this ship was never canon . At the same time, the canon couple is never a toxic and unhealthy relationship . I hope that the Shipper Michikatsu x ex-wife community will be kind and learn to respect instead of being rude and cursing other people's ships. Doing so is like you are smearing mud on your own ships as well. Don't blame why many people will hate your ship in the future. Also, don't mischaracterize Michikatsu/Kokushibo. I see the majority of the Michikatsu x ex-wife Shipper community misdescribe Michikatsu/Kokushibo the most.
(Somewhat bit unrelated)
Next, I saw some people calling Michikatsu's ex-wife "Her name is Haruhime, a fact if you don't know" and what? When was her name confirmed by Gotouge? It seems like you guys like taking fanon to become canon, right? Oh my god... That name is just the name of an OC on AO3 to ship with Kokushibo, I don't know who took it and gave it to Michikatsu's ex-wife??? Also don't call her by her name Haruhime like that is official name of her
The funniest thing is that some people are so obsessed with Michikatsu's ex-wife that when they see fanart of Akeno everywhere, they always call out "Oh my god! Haruhime" and "Haruhime is so beautiful" even you Nakime say called like that
Let me ask, what is it about Michikatsu's ex-wife that is worthy of being appreciated? She has almost nothing, I really don't understand you guys and how "beautiful" is Michikatsu's ex-wife when she never even reveals her face? Have you ever felt that this is really strange???
What always annoys me is when Michikatsu x ex-wife Shippers comment things in Kokunaki like "This ship is cute butttt now let's ship Kokushibo with his wife" lmao? Are you force others to ship toxic things?
"Kokushibo sees his wife in Nakime" ? Mentally abusing others is a problem, ok? It's very toxic and not normal, if anyone likes it and finds it cool then you are the problem and need help.
Also about Sanegiyuu, it's not a bad or toxic ship, yes, I agree at first Sanemi hated Giyuu but that was just "before" not now or until the end it's still like that, Both have become harmonious After the final battle, do you ignore this or not read the manga? even before that happened, Giyuu had intentions of getting along/becoming close friends with Sanemi(I don't ship Sanegiyuu)
This is what I want to say and I know what you will think, if you want, please talk to me directly and text me, and don't hide under the bed to take screenshots of my posts to accuse me behind my back, I don't have time for that. I also hope that this fandom can get better and that the fandom stops being toxic

Can you do more with player!reader x Marauder? Maybe something with Marauder learning about the players life during battle, and being surprised about there being a fandom (and the "humiliating" art of the slayer) I have seen enough catboy doomslayer to last a lifetime. Pretty sure he'd get a kick out of fanart and memes.
Bonus if the reader is an artist and finds a way to show the Marauder their own art of him.
"So in your world...you--this game..has its own cult following?"
"We call it a "fandom", Marmar-"
"Do not call me that."
"..okay, Marauder. But yes." You nodded to the screen, having the Doomslayer chainsaw through one of the zombies that spawned into the room, granting you extra ammo. Then you had him dash to evade the glowing orange wolf that the Marauder summoned, finishing it off with a shotgun round.
Yes, you were indeed communicating with one of the toughest enemies in the game Doom Eternal--who so-happened to be aware that he is a video game character and knows he's destined to respawn every time you entered the final room in the ARC Complex level for his boss battle.
And he now sees that the Slayer was merely a vessel controlled by you.
Instead of getting too freaked out, you struck up a small friendship with this Marauder. Why wouldn't you? He was your favorite demon of all the ones you've encountered.
He was curious about your world--one that he quickly learned that not even the Maykrs themselves could reach--so you've been explaining small things about it, although the subject of how others of your kind perceived him and Doom Eternal as a whole.
That's when you mentioned the fandom and online following it had.
"It's more than just this one, though, the fandom goes back as far as the first Doom game released in 1993."
"It's...that old? How fascinating.." The Marauder was intrigued.
"Yeah, it's come a long way from being a simple shooter game. It was the first one ever created, in fact, and it paved the way for more like it."
"And then it became Eternal about three years ago?"
"Precisely."
"I see. Are there other versions of me in previous---GRRAH!!" As a stray bullet suddenly flew towards him, he brought up his shield and scowled. "Are you trying to catch me off guard, mortal?"
"No, I promise." You shook your head, before adjusting the mic connected to your headset. "To answer you...no. You're unique only to this game. And to be honest, you became quite a hot topic for debates in the community."
"Is that so?" Taking a pause, Marauder lowered his shield, red eyes narrowing at the Doomslayer and whatever skin you chose to use this time around. He was always amused by what your vessel looked like, be it the menacing Praetor skin or the ridiculous Doomicorn. "Let us pause our duel. Elaborate."
"...okay, um....ah, how do I say this without sounding like a jerk..." You mumbled to yourself, before looking back at the screen. "Some people think your attack methods "ruin" the flow of the game...and before you get mad, Doom was always known for just shooting demons and moving on. They whine about it being too "complicated" now, but I like what you brought to the table: you give us a true challenge."
"Of course..I only bring the toughest challenge. Lest they forget, Marauders were amongst the Sentinels in legion with the Slayer...so I ought to be a worthy enemy. One that players shan't forget." He chuckled, grabbing the head of a zombie who had the misfortunate of spawning right next to him. "Nothing like these...simple-minded corpses. They're forgettable. So easily crushed by a simple action."
With one squeeze, its head disintegrated into a bloody pulp before it collapsed to the ground, despawning.
"But not me."
"Right." You were surprised he could do that, but you shrugged it off. "All debates aside...I think you'd get a kick out of all the art this fandom has made, too."
"Art, you say? Let me guess..they're all tributes to the Slayer? Covered in blood? Scorching fire and relentless rage in his eyes? Standing over mountains of demonic corpses?" He scoffed.
"...some of that, and a lot of catboy pictures and maid outfits."
".....what is a "cat-boy"?"
Oh no.
This was taking quite the awkward turn.
"Let's. just say there's a lot of degrading and humiliating stuff about him, and god, don't even get me started on the fanfiction.." You shuddered a little, although hearing Marauder's deep chuckle made you refocus on him, seeing him sit on the stairs.
"This has enlightened me..oh, what I would give to see such humiliation with my own eyes. The great and mighty Slayer, reduced to a-"
"There's art of you, too."
He blinked. "Me? I, too, have left that much of an impact on your "fandom"?"
"Oh for sure! People love your voice, and uh...your physique."
"...they like this..hideous rotted body of mine?" He put a hand to his chest, taking all of this information in. "It's merely a husk of what I once was..before I was denied an honorable death."
"Yeah, well..at least your abs stayed with you." You joked.
"Glad to hear I am somewhat admired among your species. But am I subjected to the same degradation?"
"Sorta..on a lesser scale."
"........"
"But it's not all bad! I've actually made some cool art of you looking completely badass!" You hastily mentioned before he could get too upset. "Since you're my favorite demon, of course I had to. Wish I could show it to you somehow.."
"Not to worry." He sounded relieved. "I'm grateful to be idolized in some world, if not my own."
"Right--hey!" Distracting by your chitchat, you failed to see the zombie take a slash at the Slayer, and in revenge you made him do a Blood Punch to regain the health he lost. "I forgot we're supposed to be fighting."
"You wish the Slayer's "Blood Punches" worked on me.." The Marauder teased, rising up and scraping his axe against the ground. "Now shall we continue? Perhaps..you could let me have this win?"
"...I would, but I have over ten extra lives in my inventory and I'd hate to waste them." You smiled awkwardly, watching his expression grow frustrated.
"What..? Now how is that fair?" He growled. "True warriors don't get second chances. Are you using those "cheat codes"?"
"No. I found them all on my own. No cheats here."
"Hmph...well said, human. Now let us fight."

Okay, I don't think many people care but I want to clarify something. I cleaned up my blog and left only my own art (and out of stupidity I accidentally deleted some of my own pieces, I will be in mourning because very kind people had really left me comments that really cheered me up and I'm gonna miss them, but that's a a whole ottertopic, I'll probably make a couple of posts at some point to compile the pieces I accidentally deleted and bring them back to this part of the internet. jsjjs).
I didn't have any bad intentions with this, I made the mistake of using what was previously my personal fandom account (and even worse than without any specific fandom, I only reblogged things about all the things I like) and that mixed it up with my art account. For this stopped feeling comfortable deliberately reblogging everything cause my mind said: "oh, These people probably only follow me for my fanarts of those specific fandoms or because they confused me with a fandom blog, this must look like very annoying random spam, cause, I mean, what does that random anime have to do with my previous fanarts? nothing, don't reblog that random thing then so as not to bother them"
This was giving me totally irrational anxiety, so yes, from now on this will be a blog about my own art, Of course, my art is about fandoms, I only have a couple of ocs abandoned there, but you undertand what I mean jsjsj
To my mutuals I just want to tell you that I love you very much and that I will be creating a new blog to spam you with love again and also to spam my stuff without feeling guilty jsjsjs... probably, let's face it, I'm really lazy, but that doesn't mean I love you any less. See you <3

Hi! I like to read your opinions about eruri, and I like this vast sight you have being there for years. In 2021 â at the very end of the story I started to appreciate in 2015 â I decided to re-watch it and came across a fanart of Erwin and Levi together as a couple (I've never entered the fandom "circles" before, tbh). Well, when I read the manga /watched the anime for the first time, I had an "impression" about their relationship. I never gave them much thought as I was firstly and mostly an Armin supporter and I basically followed the first three seasons because I needed to know what the fuck was going on and I needed to see Armin reach the damn ocean.
Erwin was a character I strongly appreciated given his will to sacrificing his own and his soldiers' lives, his death really touched me though I was relieved that Armin still had a chance to reach his dream.
I didn't really like Levi until the uprising arc, I didn't understand his motivation until I watched No Regrets (I watched it after finishing s3p1). When he first appeared in the story I felt strange about his and Erwin's relationship: Erwin was the Commander but Levi acted freely around him, even disrespecting him, and after a couple of episodes he was "I'll obey Sir". Levi was close with Hanji but even closer with the Commander, and Erwin only spoke "as a peer" to Pixies and Zachary (sometimes) and Levi most of the time.
The "woah" moment was after the uprising arc: Erwin planning rts and Levi begging him to stay safe home, an absurd request tbh: Not Hanji, nor any other Squad Leader proposed anything like that; the Commander had to be there, because he's trusted and more importantly because he represents the SC. So, Levi? This not only was "odd" from a (I'll say) militaristic point of view, but Levi there acted really emotionally. At this point of the story we have seen his more emotional side, we've seen him angry and concerned, but not to this extent.
Then, rts. Levi giving Erwin a reassuring speach, making the choice on his behalf, commanding him to his death. And Erwin's relieved smile, his "Thank you". This was a peak moment, it showed complete trust (we also knew that Levi trusted Erwin completely, but the other way around is truly showed here), it showed the deep comprehension Levi has about the Commander, it showed Levi's ability to sacrifice his own feelings for what's best for humanity and Erwin.
The serum-bowl was just the culmination of it. It was the "emotional" side of Levi's previous logical choice. He wants to save Erwin so badly there, and not because he is the Commander, but because he didn't want him to die in the first place (Levi's egoistic feeling). He's about to give him the serum, the choice is made, and it is the best choice for humanity, the choice Hanji and other Commanders would make, the choice that will take Erwin back (and it's so clear that this is what Levi wants). But at the very end, Levi changes his mind, not out of any logical reason, or rational thought. He decides to let his friend rest because it'd be the best choice for Erwin and Erwin alone (or at least, in Levi's understanding of him).
Last but not least, Erwin's death affected Levi terribly. I usually dislike "revenge arc", but his was so well built and motivated that I appreciated it. His promise is the only fuel left to Levi to moves forward. It's a sad and heartbreaking end, but it puts emphasis on the importance of his relationship with Erwin.
Re-watching AoT gives you the possibility to focus on its nuances; it's a complex story and for people like me (not usually interested in the romance, but in the most dynamic and action side) it's easy to miss some details.
I personally like the absence of huge romantic sub-plot. I like how the relationships between the characters are described trough little details, ways of talking to each other, choices that can be read as ambiguous at some times. Or, this is true for the "adults", the 104th are kids and mostly act like kids "repressed" by their military role and the cruel circumstances of their world.
When it comes to Hanji, Miche, Moblit, Levi, Erwin, it's different. They are soldiers and put duty beyond their personal feelings. I love how their relationships are built. And I do consider Erwin and Levi relationship one of the strongest in AoT, and one of the most healthy too. Forgetting the hcs, the theories, or even what VAs, animators etc said, I think that it's undeniable the depth of their bond, and the fact that it is - at least - platonic love. To me it's clear as the sky that Levi loved Erwin (not necessarily in a sexual way) and it's clear that he was reciprocated, in a more subtle way because Erwin is a character literally broken by his guilt, split between his selfish side and his selfless one.
The rest of it is mostly hc, though some theories really are plausible and I love the fanon exploration of them trough fics and fanarts.
This long post just because I wanted to express what to me it's a fact and not a theory, that in the complex and not so easy identification and classification of what a relationship between two humans is, that between Erwin and Levi falls in the large range of "Love". And not the love and affection one usually has for a dear friend. It's deeper, it's familiar. It's the bond you have with someone you want to become family with. (Just to mention, Mikasa's "you're family" it's so powerful to me, it's a good choice of words that Eren misunderstood imo). This is why I don't feel the need (tough I like the fun, absolutely) of searching proofs and making up scenarios of a love story that is just there. I don't need Isayama to state that Levi and Erwin would have gotten married, circumstances permitting. They already have a strong, dedicated and wholesome bond that accompanied Erwin to his last, painful years and gave him peace at the very end; and complimentary, the same bond gave Levi hope and aim when he needed it and â sadly â affected him so badly that he lived so many years in grief (maybe all his remaining years). Tell me this is not what a loving relationship/marriage looks like.
If you reached the end of my essay, thank you xD I'd like to read what you think of it. Bye!!
Thank you so much for sharing this Anon âĄÂ Thereâs honestly very little I can add to this. Youâve expressed eloquently why Erwin and Leviâs relationship is so important and so compelling. Regardless of shipping, their relationship, and the bond of trust they share, is pivotal to the story, particularly from the Uprising Arc onwards.
One of the things Iâve always loved about SnK, which youâve touched on here, is that Isayama is actually very good at writing compelling, and compellingly complex, adult relationships. Like you said, we donât need any other âproofâ of the depth of Erwin and Leviâs relationship, itâs all there in black and white in the manga. The supplementary materials, the guidebooks, the interviews, the Smartpass stories all add colour but they donât change the fundamental nature of their relationship. Iâve said it before and Iâll say it again, this to me is what a deeply committed adult relationship looks like. It needs no more elaboration.Â
Thank you again for sharing your essay Anon, I really appreciate reading your thoughts and Iâm sure many other fans will too.

***Long Rant***
Content-
- Art journey,
- Shoutout
- Sneak peak
------
This ask had me reflecting on my art style. So i pulled up some of my old and new work .
The first one is mini Bobby , i couldn't draw him at all, but i still wanted some sort of drawing so i decided to make a Gacha Bobby, I mean hey, something is better than nothing right ?
Say what you want but I'm still very fond of this little guy.
Then I made a MC Ă Bobby fanart. But even in that, his face was no mucho gusto and it came out very blurry and the pens lines were too thick
Then came Superman Bobby , better and more good looking than the previous crack Bobby but still very blurry.
One of the reasons was , I was using a pen style that was too thick and that really defined the outlines rather than the actual picture and when resized , it got really blurry and the app that i was using had very limited resources .
Then I switched to the app im using now - Ibis paint. It's free , has tons of features and brushes , less precise and professional than procreate but it's still very much up there. I changed my brush from a drawing pen to a pencil which has thin strokes. The result is definitely better
And I fell more in love as i drew him
---------Shoutouts-----
@libelle949 : If you like love island, art and a great person to talk to, they have got the whole package. They have drawn many many character arts for love islands and other fandoms. They also have fanfic content on their blog and they are all about lifting other people up with them. Definitely check out their blog.
AND
@ariendiel : Two words. Noah ,Aesthetic. That's what the blog is about. If you are a season two girlie who is in love with Noah, look no further. This blog has fanarts, fanfics , some of it being a non LI plot while others being alternate LI scenarios. And you'll also find a surprise....spicy đđ edits of many islanders to get your heart racing.
------ Sneak peak ----
I have been working on this fanart for days. Not because it's very complex or has too much details , but because my final exams have commenced, so I only draw the FACE of the islander i have in mind for the project to reward myself at the end of the day.
Today I finished drawing the faces of my second last and last islander who are going to be featured on the fanart. I FINALLY LEARNED HOW TO DO HAIR HIGHLIGHTS. i basically never shade because I dont know how and I was planning on learning that during my vacation BUT I finally tried out hair shading for Jin and Bruno. And I'm loving the result.
Tadaaaaaa!!!!!! Made my day tbh can't wait to include this in the final fanart with the other three boys ( can you take the vibe and guess who they are?)
Also, I can't believe im just 5 away from 50 followers!!?! Thankyou for the love and support â€ïž

Sorry if I'm late for the ship ask game. Can I ask for these ships :
- Killua/Gon (my fav non canon ship from any shounen until now)
- Zuko/Sokka (my fav ship from ATLA, and they're also my top 5 fav characters from that series)
- Gojo/ Getou (sorry, I know you dislike those two, but I want to know your opinion on this ship. Also, they're my main reason to enter JJK fandom)
Thx if you want to answer
KilluGon
Absolutely ship it!
What made you ship it?
Canon, they're prone to these very romantic moments.
What are your favourite things about the ship?
How devoted they are to one another. They meet by accident and get entangled with each other so quickly. Killua follows Gon around during the exam, then Gon goes to save him and since then it becomes a duh for them that they do everything together. And then the trauma they both endure puts a strain on their bond and we see in real time how their relationship partially sours because they are too young and they don't know how to deal with the trauma and the stress. They make each other better and worse, and it just feels so real. It's just amazing.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Idk how unpopular it really is but Gon isn't abnormally selfish, and he's not some villain in their relationship. They both contribute to it hurting them both. People getting hurt in relationships and still fighting for them and working on them is just so normal. I think also that people who dislike Gon or have no interest in him should no be shipping this. And Killua isn't a soft uwu boi. He's got a mean streak, is petty and prone to addiction, the soft boi outfits are a lie.
Zuko/Sokka
I don't ship it.
Why donât you ship it?
In a previous ask reply I talked about how much I like MaiKo. And that's just my default ship for Zuko. The thing with Sokka is that his heterosexuality forces him to reconsider his misogyny, it's not ideal that this is what makes him start respecting women but honestly, who cares as long as he doesn't act like sad loser towards women in the end. And I'm saying this because having a sister who was his life line and his keeper for years after they lost their mother and were left behind by their father, did nothing to make him not a dick to women. And I think that if Sokka'd been gay, he'd've never changed. He'd've been one of those gays who look down at women. What if he lead Zuko there too? Like Azula makes Zuko's life quite awful, so some bigoted takes about women could've made him a misogynist and feel justified for it too.
What would have made you like it?
If they had more chemistry in canon. I just can't imagine an exciting dynamic between them to engage in shipping it? Nothing about this ship makes me think they could make each other better and that's a must for me to ship anything, really.
Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
I'm sorry but not really. I have barely seen this ship around because I don't go to the ATLA fandom, I don't think even fanart for it has ever crossed my dash. I mean it's marginally better than Zuko/Katara, because that one is just toxic heterosexuality the ship.
Gojo/ Getou
omg, not really.
Why donât you ship it?
Like with HisoIllu, I accept that this is a logical ship and it's likely canon. But unlike HisoIllu, I actually actively can't stand it.
Generally, considering how toxic Gojou's personality is, I consider all his het ships misogyny and all his queer ship, queerphobia, even such absolutely toxic shit like SukuGo, even GoKen, even Gojou/Touji. I don't even like Touji but not even he deserves that. Apart from SatoSugu. Getou was a truly disgusting fascist adult and a condescending fuck as a teen, I think they can have each other.
Why I actively despise it, is because of the fandom. The fans of these two characters separately and those of this ship are some of the loudest and most obnoxious in this fandom. They will literally take panels, scenes or chapters that are about other characters and unleash some truly unhinged word vomit to make it seem like there's some connection to Gojou, Getou or their ship. Usually it's either complete misrepresentation of what is in the manga or pure untagged fanfiction. But the tags of other characters get regularly flooded by this kind of shit. They act as if they couldn't stand there being parts of the JJK fandom where their favs are not worshiped, where their ship is not the most important thing.
What would have made you like it?
Nothing. If it weren't for the fans, I would've been neutral about it. I wouldn't have cared about it because a thought about any dynamic between these two assholes leaves me completely cold. But I wouldn't've cringed when I saw it in the tags to the fics in my tags. I wouldn't've cringed writing the single Gojou involving scene I've ever written.
Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
No, I'm still sad that the most awful fans of these two and their ship haven't rage quit the fandom when Sukuna finally reduced Gojou to tolerable portions. Honestly it seems to be getting worse. Despite how liberally I block, it still often feels, even on some leaks days, that there's more about this ship in the JJK tags than of the actually relevant stuff.

Early MCYTblr Interviews: warpedfungusonastick
today's interviewee is warpedfungusonastick, who's been in MCYTblr since the summer of 2020 and is a member of dreamlying! below is a transcript of their account of early MCYTblr.
Digging back into what I have of my online history, I started the tumblr blog warpedfungusonastick in late July 2020. Beforehand I had a very small <20 follower dttwt account and saw that the Tumblr community was more my vibe. I was 18 when I got into being a dteam ~fan and my personal views on fandom and stan culture and parasocial relationships were, while still evolving, kind of against a lot of the culture that was growing up around especially the twitter fan community.
(This being said, this was the depths of COVID lockdown and I rarely left my house because I was a senior in high school in the U.S. and living with someone who absolutely could not get sick. So I was terminally online and can definitely say in retrospect deeply invested in the fan culture and even the creators/their online personas while being semi-ironically self aware of this relationship.)
I first saw a dteam video in later 2019. Funny enough (and not funny at all, because I think about these Patterns quite a lot), I had then just left the Cryaotic fandom. If you don't know, he was an old friend of pewdiepie who split with him around the time of or before the multiple pewdiepie scandals and pewdiepie whistling off several alt-right dog whistles and that whole thing. But back to the point, like a month after i became a regular Cryaotic Twitch viewer, a long expose came out about him being abusive to his ex-girlfriend and a groomer of underaged fans. Cryaotic was a faceless streamer whose iconography was this little blob thing and I will not abandon the theory that the origins of Dreamwastaken fanart are the direct successor to humanized fanart of this Cryaotic persona.
Through the whole Cryaotic thing I first found out about kiwifarms/lolcow. What stuck to me, beyond the abhorrent stuff said on those sites, was that they had a pretty clear system of archiving things using sites such as archive.is and were completely unafraid to post "doxxed" materials anonymously.
Commentary on DL interviews: - I fully second what georgesoot said about "No it's not odd, I at least partially strove for infamy. Any attention gratifies the ego after all, not just positive attention. Then there was the absurdity of it all". I tried to be a lot less controversial than some other DL members, but I did run with them and did say some things that weren't within the typical conventions of more mainstream and popular blogs of the time. It was a dopamine hit for people to interact with my blog--like any social media--but I/we did it in a kind of absurdist way at a point with the things we said and the ways we kind of transgressed whatever the normal way of being a fan blog was. - Re: Wormweeb--I was also kind of mentally ill and depressed and really only interacted with both friends online (even if they were friends from school). And as a result I took it all a bit more seriously than it was at the time. This is is less related but I used to get these--visceral? reactions to when Drama would happen because I was personally invested more so because I didn't want my online friend group who (although seen as a united front on the outside sometimes, I think) each had our Faves in the mcyt space and had had petty infighting over the morals of that (both seriously and unseriously, but everything starts to bleed, in my opinion).
More about my previous exposure to Minecraft fandom: I used to follow mianite back in the day and watched a lot of captiansparklez & aureylian. Since I joined the dteam fandom before any blog presence I was there for their very first streams (which got likeâŠ5k views 10k?) and the birth of the dsmp as essentially a server for friends (which led to minor discourse later when the line between roleplay and people on a MC server blurred.)
So my points of reference for these types of fandoms were a fandom that was very much for younger children (Mianite) and therefore the creators were treated with more distance and the recently up-in-flames Cryaotic fandom.
Back to doxxing/archiving/odd relation between: I used to joke about the tension between the right to privacy and to be forgotten on the internet and the right for nosy teenagers with too much time on their hands (and literally obsession brainworms) to dig up your past. Two things I think that were interesting about the most (in my opinion) morally dubious element of mcytblr and most people formed their negative opinions of critblr on was the having/knowing "forbidden" information. Most of this we were either told by randos or knew through other people online. A lot of it also ended up on Dream's kiwifarms, but that was a bit of a two-way street.
And the second part of this whole thing is the way that this information would come up among The Discourse. Because knowing some of the things we/I knew, you could call out creator's lies/misrepresentations of their histories/online pasts in ways that people who didn't know couldn't. Which was kind of where some of the in-jokes came from. I also took the habit of archiving things (old accounts, posts, whatever) to archive.is and such at the time because I fell on the 'I don't want this digital history to be erased if only for my own sanity.'
I think this has been rehashed before, but at every corner, the mcyt/dteam fandom was a fandom like any other, complicated by the fact that it was a real person fandom. And especially on tumblr where the Culture was a little different because no creators (few creators) were on Tumblr, people kind of just said and did whatever. I struggle to think of any of this as important in the grand scheme of anything, but there was a massive outpour of content because of the sheer size of the fandom across all platforms. There was 24/7 content, big fomo, and so I think blogs acted like pundits--like a forum on the newist in DSMP or Love or Host or MCC or whatever. My memory of that time has atrophied a lot but I think that DL and co. cropped up as the pundit subclass (however some of us had actual talent like wormweeb and made fanworks) and the fandom overall was sustained by a sprawling form of Conversation on the Latest Content.
Q: right-- and while other blogs caught people up on streams, dream lying was more interested in meta on the creators themselves?
I think that was a part of it. We were all united in this semi-ironic cynicism about fandom culture as a whole while being fans ourselves, and we socially shared this Vision of a number of variably worded critiques about - stan culture - cancel culture - the dangers/pitfalls/intricacies of these.
I think a lot of it was just shits and giggles, but at least I at one point had this idea that I was a tiny little measured response to the excess of fandom culture. I looked down on uncritical fandom and thought that especially because some of these creators cultivated deeply parasocial relationships with their young fans (I was not much older, but all 18 year olds are Like That) it was some sort of imperative to talk about that at least a little bit.
As I read through my old posts--these was a lot of self important a lot of rambling a lot of nonsense. And I don't really think that these fandom culture can be changed by one little microblogger with a couple hundred followers, but I stand by a lot of my initial criticisms of the ecosystem as a whole and mainly the creators themselves and their (heh) lying, their harm, their overall misconduct and above all the systems that created and enable their whacky ass bullshit to this day. .
But the doubled edged sword of (I return to the forbidden info thruline) I never really shared info that was private because I wanted to be somewhat ethical, so it always felt a bit like we/I was going crazy with things I knew to be true but obviously wouldn't share because that's nor super moral.
Another note about The Rumors and DreamLying--in my memory we kind of thought were Something. And I guess we've been nudged along in that perception but I think the most vocal and controversial of us just said wild shit that stuck in people's brains and for the longest time I didn't associate myself with dream lying at all on Warpedfungus because I wanted to be Somewhat Normal, if measuredly critical and justâŠvibing. But I think at circles back to a lot of this being wank amongst a handful of terminally online people who at the time didn't get out enough and, like, fixated on this Thing because it was community (or a facsimile of) and at the end of the way we're all just archives or archived pages or gone forever.
(Which reminds me that for the longest time I had you and Roxytonic blocked because I thought archiving was corny but I now think it's kind of cool. It's a nostalgia trip, if anything else. I'm now in another fandom that would've really benefited from some hardcore archiving because so much of the old internet (and fan spaces amongst them--ie ff.net, livejournal, even more underground spaces) are completely lost to the sands of time and the deletion of those hosting sites, etc)
Q: i am very interested in your thoughts on, as you mentioned before in reference to cryaotic, the way that creators cultivate and manipulate fanbases, and the effects you think it had on how the mcytblr fandom
Dream, along with "learning/studying the algorithm" and getting insanely lucky, did many specific things to cultivate a fandom of immensely parasocial fans. And regardless of my cynical vision of what his motives were, his actions of wanting to be seen as a 'friend', sharing many personal details, being accessible to fans, DMing young stan accounts, following fan accounts, OKaying a lot of fanworks about him/his personal and the wholeâŠgaybaiting (you know what i"m referring to) thing had the result of a very large very dedicated fanbase.
As far as cryaotic, it's my theory that dream knew the effect on having a veryâŠintimateâŠrelationship with his conventionally not ugly young white man friend, and used that. And as far as the other element that I associate between dteam/cryaotic--these were men who had very boring lives and probably saw themselves as undesirable to women Until they had this massive following and this kind of situation happens time and time again where people get Influence that didn't used to have and do messed up things with it. And I don't know what's to be done, but it's quite bad and completely goes against the "wholesome" image they try to cultivate. If not some of the stuff being actually crimes.
I think the common perception is sometimes that these cases are "bad apples" when there are so many bad apples And not even in the man aint shit way, but unlike more conventional routes to Fame, mcyts have no oversight unless they join and esports org and still thenâŠthe org may just side iwth them if it's worth it. And that's not to say that this stuff doesn't happen with conventional celebrity and even on college campuses and in everyday life and whatnot but I think people in such a public eye should be held to standards of conduct that may prevent some of this.

Follow-up to the other anonâs note about avoiding big fandoms if you donât want drama: If you find that you really canât avoid wanting to participate in a big fandom (I get it, the first thing I wanted to do after finishing OFMD was rush to AO3 to read about those gay pirates finding each other and kissing again), one of the perks of a big fandom, especially if itâs based on something current, is youâre a lot more likely to see people you like from previous fandoms follow you there. The tactic I took with OFMD when I very quickly saw it replicating some of the same toxic patterns Iâd seen last time I was involved in a big current fandom was: a) deliberately stay out of the discourse and just read fic, b) find a small group of friends to discuss it with to get out all my fannish feelings. Because yeah, that cute raunchy gay pirate show sleeper hit really quickly turned into a horrifying discourse thunderdome on Twitter and Tumblr where people were threatening suicide if the show wasnât renewed and claiming it was âracistâ to like it and âthat is the POC opinionâ based their misread of a mostly-positive review by a white critic (and also viral Tumblr posts clearly written by people who didnât watch it because they accused it of not doing things it actually did do). And then the people claiming it was âsexual harassmentâ to tweet fanart at an actor from the show who actively invited it, and of course, the scourge of every slash-centric fandom where there isnât a shipping war: top/bottom discourse. It wouldâve burned me out on that fandom super fast if I hadnât had a) and b). Anyway, in my opinion, a big fandom is a lot like any big social group: sure, there are more assholes, more parasocial weirdos, more creeps, and what drama there is is heightened⊠but it also means there are more good people, and also just more OPTIONS in general. It takes some time, but itâs ultimately going to be easier to find your niche, and you just have to have the self-control to stick with that friend group and stay away from the weirdness elsewhere. Whereas with a small fandom, yeah, there are going to be fewer assholes, but the ones who are there will have more impact. Itâs way easier to screen out one obnoxious killjoy or drama queen when the Tumblr tag gets hundreds or thousands of posts per day rather than 3. (Likewise with fanfic: there are lots of options! If you hate one particular trope or writer, thatâs fine, there are a whole bunch more! Even if your least favorite headcanon has become the popular one, thereâs bound to be lots of other fics that still donât include that headcanon. Whereas if youâre in a fandom with like 30 total works on AO3, if someone whose writing you donât care for or who portrays your ship/characters in ways you disagree with or whatever has written 27 of those fics, youâre SOL)

hi, i saw your post answering nick deactivating all their profiles and i want to admit this since i feel kinda responsible but i think i mightve been the reason why they deactivated, you dont need to post this if you dont want to but consider this an admission of guilt of some sort
because nick had all xyr profiles still up even after the alligations happened for a good month or so, i spontaiously remembered their existance one night and realised that, by locking their profile on twt (i didnt follow xem back) and noticing that most of their art wasnt on there ment that alot of people wouldnt get to enjoy their art, and me being big on archiving content i like i decided to start up a blog on archiving their art since they were semi-big in the fairly oddparents fandom on twitter
since ive ran two previous art archive blogs before i made sure to check that nick had been completely inactive and not on any other account, making sure not to post any of their art already on tumblr since the blog was still up at the time and i had planned on saving those as drafts if something happened, and i had set up a small queue on whatever art i could find searching their username on google, and most importantly i let them know in the pinned post that if they wanted this archive taken down then i will 100% take it down
the next day after i made that blog ive noticed i had recieved two dms from nick telling me to take this down, i didnt actually read them fully, all i saw was "may you take this archive down?" and sprinted to deactivate the entire blog (i would be lying if i said i wasnt curious to know how exactly they found the blog, but thats me being nosey someone probably told xem, not very relevant to the conversation)
it wasnt untill i was scrolling through my main blogs post on a tag that ive noticed that they deactivated, and at first i thought that maybe it just showed them as deactivated despite changing their url or something since ive noticed it would sometimes happen, but nope, fully deactivated
i personally, as ive mentioned, wasnt mutuals with xem nor would i have really considered us accuaintences, more of a 'people who happened to be in the same soup isle in the same store' shtick, but they would sometimes send funny replies, i wasnt very big into the ship they were posting at the moment but i liked their art and they had shared some wc crossover art that made me happy since that was my special interest and it was sorta stuck in my head as a special little conversation ive had, and while digging i admitibly got sorta fascinated by masha / sasha in general inspite of the fact ive never watched camp camp before (trying to fight the demons rn)
i hold absoloutly no grudge against nick for telling me i should take it down as they have a right to and i explicitly said in the pinned that i would , i just feel very bad about the fact that ive made them extremely uncomfortable to the point where xe felt like xe had to remove their two only platforms they were active on in general, and again i feel very strongly about preservation of media for others to enjoy and it backfired and now no one gets to enjoy it, including the fact that they had made alot of fanart for a rarepair
(since the blog didnt really exist for more then 2 days and if you do want proof of the blogs existance heres a link to a reblog i happened to notice from someone i know -> https://www.tumblr.com/coolmika745/765034471884029952?source=share)
I'm gonna be so honest Idk how Twitter or archiving or alot of the stuff you just said works but maybe this information will be important to somebody so up it goes/gen
I still think it looks suspicious being accused of what they are they just go radio silent but everything is still just allegations at the moment
