I’ve noticed a trend that whenever I get into a fandom and make it my main obsession that I simultaneously have the best and worst social experiences of my life. Sometimes it makes me want to not share my interests in fear of having it happen again, other times I put on rose-tinted glasses and think about how fun it was back then even if i was hurting. I think that’s why I flip-flop a lot and be inconsistent on forcing myself to focus on ocs and “swearing off drawing xyz” . Not that I don’t enjoy drawing my ocs because I absolutely do (the one thing that probably can’t be entirely tainted by others), but when I wanna draw fan content I hate being put into spotlight in a community. Of course, I can just not post fanart, but simultaneously I almost feel guilty because the social side of me wants to bring joy and share an interest.

Is it just me or is there way less fanart being made for this game than the previous ones? Kind of makes me sad, I remember with dai I could check the tags every few hours and find something new weeks after launch, now I only can get away with only looking a few times and week and miss nothing.

I don't think that's Veilguard exclusive.

Things I and my mutuals draw now are getting less notes/reblogs than they did even one year ago, regardless of the fandom. Fanfiction is getting less comments and kudos on ao3 too (not that they were getting many comments in the first place) Less gifs are being made because gif makers weren't getting reblogs. Hell, most of the post I make have a huge discrepancy between likes and reblogs and add polls into that? A thousand people voted on something and only a dozen people reblog it. It's a hollowing feeling when you realise you're calling out to an empty void, I don't blame people for creating less art because of that.

I don't see a vast majority of the people who follow me in my notes because I have likes disabled. Multiple times someone has sent me an ask apologizing for spamming me with likes and I don't understand it? That is not a bad thing And unless you reblogged anything along the way, I didn't even realise you were doing it in the first place. And the people whose notes I do see are not annoying in the slightest, I love the tags you add and I'm sure the original poster does even more so

I'm not trying to shame anyone Into interacting with the fandom spaces they're in but the whole point of Tumblr and what makes it a blogging platform and not social media is that this is a show and tell website. You're supposed to look at something you think is cool and then wave it around for your followers to see and then they pick it up and do the same regardless of how old it is

When you reblog an ask game from someone it used to be common courtesy to send that person one of the asks from it. Folks used to leave comments analysing paragraphs from stories people wrote and theorising about what would happen next on every chapter. We used to send each other asks just asking about our ocs unprompted

If there's no interaction or community when you create something, then what's the point of creating it? It sucks that fandom is morphing into something to be consumed and thrown away the second it's more than a week old unless you're one of a handful of blogs that got lucky and picked up traction at just the right moment

I'm sorry for the rant but I get emotional when I think about the decay of fandom spaces for too long. And this goes without saying, but you guys can reblog anything on my dash if the button isn't disabled on it

Since the fandom is growing, I feel like it'd be handy to have a list like this. Please note that some of the tags below don't actually exist yet! I just compiled it using my knowledge from previous fandoms.

#東ディバ絵札 (toudiba efuda) - General fanart tag. It's usually frowned upon to upload shippy art on the main tag (no matter what kind. Yes, yume included) so please be careful!

#tkdb夢 (tkdb yume) / #東ディバ夢 (toudiba yume) - General yume tag. Scopes including both Character x default MC and OC x Canon.

#tkdbプラス (tkdb plus) - Often used interchangeably with #tkdb夢. Yume works posted with this tag have the general "sweet romance" feel.

#病みのtkdbプラス (yami no tkdb plus) - For yume works where the canon character is depicted as a yandere / harboring some kind of twisted love for the yume MC. Sometimes used together with #tkdbマイナス tag if the scenario fits.

#tkdbマイナス (tkdb minus) - For yume works that deal with more niche, darker themes generally unsuitable with the positive vibes of plus yume works. Themes vary including but not limited to: forever one-sided feelings, angst, character death, break up, domestic violence, cheating, bad / merry bad endings, gore, etc. Basically if you see works tagged as this, that'd be your Dead Dove: Do Not Eat warning.

#夜のtkdbプラス (yoru no tkdb plus) - General R-18 yume works.

特待生ちゃん (tokutaisei-chan) - Honor Student / The MC. Since Tokyo Debunker MC doesn't have a default name, this is usually how the fans refer to her when talking about her. The canon MC, if you will.

創作特待生 (sousaku tokutaisei) - Original rendition of the Honor Student. Visual design, personality, gender, and backstory may be different to the canon MC.

創作寮生 (sousaku ryousei) - Original (Darkwick) Student that's completely separate from the Honor Student. This term isn't exclusive to Tokyo Debunker so if you only put "創作寮生" on the search bar you'll get OCs from other franchises too (Twisted Wonderland & Harry Potter, to name a few).

Some character x canon MC ship names

冠特 (kamutoku) - Jin x Honor Student

伯特 (hatoku / hakutoku) - Haku x Honor Student

翔特 (shoutoku) - Sho x Honor Student

Those three are currently the only ones popular enough to have people using a dedicated ship names when making works about them. If you want to see the other characters x canon MC ship works, you'll have better luck searching "#tkdb夢 / #tkdbプラス + (character's name)" instead.

As for canon x canon character ships, usually a fandom would create specific 腐 tag for it (like #ツイ腐テ for twst) but since the fandom is still pretty small, I don't think anyone has came up with a proper 腐 tag for Tokyo Debunker. I could've just missed it tho, since I only follow people who post yume and general non-shippy works so feel free to let me know!

For now, you can try your luck by combining the first kanji of two characters' given name. Keep in mind that Japanese fandom is usually much more strict about ship naming tho. AB ≠ BA!

Hello, my name is NattiKay, and welcome to my blog! Before you follow, there’s a thing you should know about how I do fandom.

Basically, it can take one of two forms. The first is casual fandoms—this includes various media I enjoy and will like/reblog posts about, maybe even doodle for on rare occasions. I can have several of these simultaneously.

But the second—and much more visible—is a “main” fandom, which you can also call hyperfixation or special interest if you wish. I only have one of these at a time, it lasts for years, and it pretty much takes over my life and blog during that time. Once every few years or so my brain will latch on to a new “main” fandom—I don’t know what triggers it to switch, and I have zero control over when it happens or to what.

My current special-interest fandom is Avatar (James Cameron/blue people), with a bonus mini-fixation on the Na'vi language. My favorite characters are the Sully family and much of my art focuses on them right now.

I make this distinction to say that if you recently found this blog through fanart of one of these previous fixations and followed hoping for more, I’m sorry to say you’re going to be disappointed.

When my fixation switches, I loose interest in actively creating content for the previous fandom because all my energy gets dedicated to the new one. This does not at all mean that I no longer like the previous ones—I may still reblog posts about them here and there—just that I no longer have the inspiration to be producing a bunch of art/comics/etc for them the way I used to. They’ve essentially moved from main fandom to casual fandoms. Yes, this will happen one day for my current fixation too, though I have no way of predicting when.

I will not be offended if you follow me during one fixation and then unfollow when it switches. I will also not be offended if you recently found this blog through my old content from previous fandoms and then choose not to follow because of this post: like I said, if you follow hoping for new art from those, you’re gonna be let down 😅

It's morning, and I'm still in bed, having pre-coffee thinky thoughts. Mainly about Veilguard lol.

I'm thinking about why I haven't talked about Solavellan in datv much yet. This blog has become an almost exclusively Lucanis Dellamorte blog these past few months 😂. But, I've been obsessed with Solavellan for 10 years. They are my otp. Soooo what's going on?

Under the cut because length and SPOILERS.

1. I genuinely haven't fully processed the Solavellan ending yet. I've done it twice and I sobbed both times and it hurts SO GOOD. But I still feel like I haven't let it get all the way in yet. I'm keeping it at arm's length just a little bit because... Ow.

2. I'm mad at Solas. We see him at his worst in datv. It's been a decade of solitude and desperation and he is wearing that Fen'Harel mask non-stop. He's lost sight of himself (if he ever had a good grip on the concept in modern times). And... I didn't really understand just how much I loved Varric until this game. Because, now I can't see fanart of him without tearing up. I can't play datv without crying over him. And while that also hurts SO GOOD (and I love tragedies), I also cannot forgive Solas for killing Varric and then LYING about it and USING Varric's memory against Rook. Like... I have a lot to unpack there but it feels unforgivable to me.

3. But, how I feel and how Riallan Lavellan feels are two different things. She loves him still, after everything. Not to say they won't have some very big serious talks in the Fade and that she isn't mad at him, but she ultimately does forgive him. And, so there's a gap between me and Ria at the moment that's going to take time for me to process before I can start writing them again (I very much want to write them again).

4. I love my Rook, Embria Aldwir. Like, so so much. And I LOVE Riallan, but she's much more removed from me and my personality than Embria is. When I play DA games for the very first time I usually play as/for myself, then make a second character to RP and actually establish my canon. But... in datv, Embria hit all the right boxes and notes. My first run felt like canon and I have latched onto this girly harder than ANY of my previous DA ocs. I can't wait to explore in fic how Embria and Riallan's paths cross and what their relationship becomes, but I'm not there yet. I'm still cooking.

4. My biggest reason for not yapping more about Solavellan is that... The fandom around Solas has become incredibly toxic and almost... Invasive. Like, I love him and love seeing gorgeous art of him and Lavellan, but also... The takes are frequently bad and the body swap mods are getting egregious (like c'mon, he would not do that and you know it). I know this is a personal squick, but for me, anything that feels that disingenuous to the character is a complete turn off. Seeing him do things he would. not. do. makes me wonder if people even actually like him? Or just some weird version they've cooked up in their mind these past 10 years. Idk, I'm just seeing a lot of stuff in Solavellan spaces that is actually making me like Solas less, because of how fans treat him AND other fans. Which... Sucks. So, I'm trying to preserve MY Solavellan, my beloved, tender, tragic otp, and to do that I can't really participate in fandom about them. At least, not right now when everything is fresh and feverish.

So, yeah. That's where my head is at re: Solavellan. I love them. I just have a lot of complicated feelings about them right now. So I'm gonna keep playing and learning with Lucanis and Embria. Don't be surprised if I come out of nowhere with a giant fic involving all of them in like, five years (I didn't start writing Solavellan until 2019, even though I shipped them right after DAI released).

Another PSA For The ROTTMNT Fandom:

Hi guys, I know I already did one of these kinds of posts but I feel like I need to make another one so that I can actually get my point across, because SOME OF YOU are being hella stubborn and keep coming up with dumb excuses about it, so please take a look at this post and read through the whole thing. Thank you.

1.) FICTION. AFFECTS. REALITY. It doesn’t matter if a character is fictional or not, it’s not an excuse to do weird/nasty shit with them, ESPECIALLY IF IT’S A MINOR/YOUNGER CHARACTER. It’s super messed up and you clearly don’t have a good mindset at all if you think that it’s okay to do weird/nasty stuff with Fictional Characters, especially the Rise Of The TMNT Characters. So STOP BEING WEIRD/NASTY. It’s not that hard to be a normal human being and realize that what you’re doing is wrong (AKA Sexualizing the characters/Minor characters, drawing NSFW/Suggestive Art of the Minor characters, etc).

2.) None of the Rise Of The TMNT Characters have any sort of romantic feelings for anyone in the show, and that’s obviously not a major plot point in the show, which is completely fine, because in all honesty it doesn’t have to be. The show focuses on family dynamics/issues and that’s what makes the show unique compared to the other TMNT iterations, especially the 2012 TMNT iteration (honestly the TMNT 2012 iteration was hella messed up in terms of romance I’m not gonna lie). And if you’re gonna make an OC that’s just gonna be a romantic interest for one of the characters then it’s kinda pointless to even have an OC like that since the show doesn’t have any romantic themes (NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE REVOLVED AROUND ROMANCE, IT’S OVERRATED and some of you have a very weird idea of what Romance is for some god awful reason).

3.) If you’re following any problematic ROTTMNT Artists and you don’t know or realize that you are (or maybe you do and just don’t care), then I’ll put a list down below with proof of what they did so that you can unfollow them if need be (also if I forgot any then let me know and I’ll update this post and put them in here as well and I got most of this info from someone else btw):

• Donagotchi/Don-or-goober/Goobygnarp - Defending harassment and proshippers/interacting/friends/mutuals with proshippers. Withholding information about an individual he thought was dangerous due to following proshippers (which had since been resolved) and only coming out about it when someone drew fanart of their oc with his on a sketch page (both ocs were shipped with donnie).

• Pinetreevillain - Harassing minors, drawing aged up nsfw, showing cropped nsfw to minors, agreeing with proshipping values. making a whole document to call out a minor who had called him out for previous things, causing them to be harassed and threatened. He did not apologize, he did not amend this mistake.

• Pasteilian - Made many posts sending harassment to a minor, supporting PineTreeVillain and nsfw of minors (both aged up and uhhh), proship nuetral. Fostered a community of proshippers ready to attack anyone who is against it, including minors. Draws really suggestive shit of the turtles??? imo (This also goes for Donagotchi and Pines friends), Proship neutral. Was apart of Pinetrees harassment of a minor. Sexualises the turtles (minors). Gaslighting behaviour.

• InkyGeek - known tcester and is a groomer (primarily of Notjustdragons/turtles).

• Beebopurr - Strange behavior towards others (hyper aggressive). Breaking peoples boundaries. Also ships Rise!April and Rise!Leo, which is a Proship.

• Pegibruno / his supporters - interacted with a minor/s in such a way they ended up being desensitized to NSFW of minors/proship content. Has made nsfw of the turtles.

• TheColinStein - Supports tcest, has said/sent inappropriate things/images about tmnt in his server full of minors, doxxed another user, endangering their safety, stealing art and merchandise to sell/raffle off.

• Mousie - Is a Tcester/draws NSFW of minors.

• Stasik - Is a Tcester/draws NSFW of minors.

• PouringTheArtJuicys - Is a Tcester/draws NSFW of minors.

• Leeseechkeens - Is a Tcester/draws NSFW of minors. Was also apparently groomed by the previous 3 artists that I mentioned above this artist to draw NSFW of the Turtles/Minors.

• Donathan - Draws NSFW/Suggestive Art of the turtles, who are Minors.

• CherryTreatsArt/Redshornyjail - Actively draws Tcest and NSFW content of the turtles.

Elanor desperately wanted to leave the princess’s service and was told in no uncertain terms that breaking her contract with the castle without first training a new maid to take her place would result in a forfeiture of her last month of wages. I assumed that Elanor simply wished to leave the service to marry one of the guards, since she spoke of them often enough at mealtimes. I could think of no other reason why anyone would give up such a covetable position as Princess Zelda’s lady’s maid. I was soon to learn the truth of the matter.

Ok not to kick this up again, but a few of the people that rbed your post/ask answer about how it’s not just about the art/fics white people create, but also poc artists need to step up and draw poc people, are white people/white artists and i really can’t help but feel some type of way about it. Esp bc they didn’t like or rb your other posts speaking up about racism FROM white creators in this fandom AND some had also recently supported a friend of theirs that had attacked a poc person after they pointed out how white centric this fandom is. This is the type of coded behavior in this fandom that makes me so uncomfortable. I see what people support and don’t support. Like ma’am you won’t rb posts about racism and inclusion that’s addressing the white people like yourself but you’ll rb a post saying poc people in this fandom need to do better to make it inclusive? I see you. And this isn’t at ALL about what you said, I understand your point entirely, it’s about THEM and how they move.

What you said does have validity to it and I think itss something that should be addressed, though I am gonna hit more on things I’ve noticed, because there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes. As in interactions with my account people think I don’t see because they try to undo it quickly or hope I don’t notice.

Also, if you’re referring to the stuff that happened the week before last, it was amongst two POCs. Both are people of color which is why I stressed in my previous heavy hitter that we have to try understanding each others’—once again talking about within the POC demographic—viewpoints and where we’re coming from because it was a misunderstanding that seemed to spiral. Most of it occurred when I was not active on tumblr, so I can’t say much about it, but I do think that needs to be cleared up, because it wasn’t a white creator attacking a POC person. Misunderstanding. I’m not ignorant enough to say all POCs get along in the world, but people seemed to think it was a white person vs POC and that’s not the case. Onto the rest of it:

I noticed a couple people liking and then unliking my posts about the racial issues, though my last post received more engagement. I’m happy my point was made, because it is a serious issue within the POC community but so is the blatant racism and ignorance (as in actively ignoring it) when I talk about white creators purposely excluding people of color, and this is obviously not just amongst POCs.

It didn’t get a lot of reblogs or traction, but it got more than those other posts (this one will also follow in the lack of interaction), and POC readers see that. We see everyone agreeing with that point, being like YES!! POCs need to be more involved if they want representation, preach!! and then we see even more people being like OOP, she’s talking about white creators needing to not exclude people of color? Let me pretend I didn’t see it, scrolllll. Or even unfollow (which yes, I notice)💀

if you can reblog me saying not to hate on artists for drawing themselves in their fanart as the race they are, then you can easily reblog me telling white creators not to intentionally leave POC out of something that is meant to be a Reader (as in ANYONE reading it, including people of color) insert. same applies to other white creators who speak up about it, I notice their other posts get interacted with a lot more than the one in which they speak about the issue. and clearly, I’m not the only one who notices. it’s telling.

I’m not implicating everyone who reblogged that post, I’m aware some of you didn’t even follow me until then and some of you did reblog my other posts and some of you simply agreed with my point right then (I’m talking to the POCs specifically with that last post—that wasn’t a Dear White People post, it was to other POCs, but again, that got more interaction than anytime I address white creators—and yes, I am aware it’s not all of you—which shouldn’t be the case given how the majority of the fandom is white).

if this post makes you feel guilty, makes you wanna scroll past it and not think about how you wanna stay mum on the subject, you may want to think about why and how privileged you are to even be able to do so in the first place. we should all feel welcome here and there’s always a chance to right our wrongs (or in this case write our wrongs, heh :D ) 🩵

your POC friends and followers see you. they know what you’re doing. they do talk about it amongst each other, where they feel safe. don’t exclude them and let them down. make them feel safe with you. let them know they are. we don’t expect you to write black!reader, or Latinx!Reader, etc. because you’re not part of our groups so you can’t accurately depict us. we just want to read about reader. and not how they can’t step outside without getting a sunburn or tanning their pale skin. if you don’t wanna reblog my long ass posts then do something else. a simple “hey POC followers, you’re safe here” is a good start.

Some things I need to say about harmless and legal ships that are always disrespected and harassed by fandoms and Shipper Michikatsu x ex-wife need to respect other Kokushibo/Michikatsu ships(Except toxic, proship and comship)

First of all, I see a lot of people always harassing and commenting negative things about harmless and legal ships, including my ships, which can't escape it, even sending threats, I can't understand. Why can't you respect other people's ships? Maybe even ignore it instead of paying attention? Even harmless and legal ships are always slandered instead of toxic, proship and comship . Even harmless and legal ships are always called "forced", "This ship is so random" and "Why does this ship exist?"No one needs your opinion, let others ship what they want especially when it's harmless and legal like shipping Genmui, Uzuiren, Tanzen, Muinezu, Shinomitsu, Renshino, Rengiyuu, Saneoba, Kokunaki, Kokudou , Giyumitsu and etc. I almost see a lot of people attacking them but you support and ship ships like Uzuizen, Kokuaka, Douaka, Kokuzan, Michikatsu x ex-wife, Nakidaki, Giyuutan, Rentan, Doukoto, Doushino...so illogical . Do you know what that is called? That's hypocritical

Leave others alone!! You guys even leave stupid comments on the fanart of such ships like "They're just friends" or "They have no interaction" with Shinomitsu . No interaction??? So have you ever touched Fanbooks and Light Novels? Just friends? This is what I want to say the most about the Kokunaki and Kokudou ships, these are probably the two best ships of Kokushibo but they are harassed a lot and not respected especially in Shipper Michikatsu x ex-wife always comments "But Kokushibo has a wife and 2 kids" and "Everyone else please ship Michikatsu with his wife instead of with Nakime, Douma or anyone else" excuse me??? What? It's like you force others to follow your ideas and not have their own opinions and feelings

Also don't call her by her name Haruhime like that is official name of her

The funniest thing is that some people are so obsessed with Michikatsu's ex-wife that when they see fanart of Akeno everywhere, they always call out "Oh my god! Haruhime" and "Haruhime is so beautiful" even you Nakime say called like that

Hey!! This is the anon from a while back who had that convo with you about quirkless discrimination with your cannon vs fannon posts. The one who sent a way too long ask haha.

I still haven’t picked back up BNHA, just still dinking around in the earlier seasons with my writing after dropping it so long ago due to the exact reason you outlined; I stopped watching due to a certain character stagnating while saying they’re changing. Which I find amusing how prevalent that problem is in so many arcs that it’s the reason I stopped watching the show actual years ago (though not solely, it was that + a combination of other things with that arc but it really exasperated it) and you’re now talking about the same exact issue for the end of it. I don’t even feel like I can say it’s due to external pressures rather then just a weak point of the writer at this point tbh.

But, besides that, on the topic of why I initially started this ask, I just wanted to say it’s interesting to hear the story has still done squat with quirklessness, really goes to show the whole glaring divide in exactly what we where talking about so long ago. Full circle kinda?? It really is such a shame the show never went into it and kinda failed to scratch the surface of anything with how compelling it would have been and how easily it could have tied into the whole of the series’ themes.

But hey, like you said, there’s always fanfics. Just thought I’d send in an ask about it since it was fun talking to you about it last time.

Now that it’s over, I might give the show another shot, for old times sake, we’ll see!

Oh as an add on, as the fannon vs cannon anon, I do want to put a note that since I haven’t seen the thing myself I’m not making too strong opinions on it or agreeing with everything in that post, just contemplating the specific stuff I talked about in that previous anon ask as a sort of now outsider to the series.

Hello again! Glad you're still enjoying the fandom space and haha, it's ironic that this issue is why you dropped the show. I'm also going to caveat that I'm not trying to dunk on Horikoshi or be a bitter hater. The issues I'm bringing up are par for the course for most serial writing, way harder to avoid than they seem. I really liked MHA overall and have huge respect for Horikoshi's writing, art, and ability to keep his sanity while bringing this behemoth to life.

Anyway, a response.

I mentioned a few aspects where quirklessness got brought in later in the story, but overall, yeah, it still felt kind of… vestigial. To me it felt like the author threw it out there at first thinking it was a cool idea, then later went "ugh, shit, that's not actually where I want to focus. I can't retcon it, so let's just... minimize it and move on." A lot of times when big series start, they toss out a whole bunch of possible story hooks and then narrow down to just a few that they're actually going to spend serious time on... anyone who gets hooked on a premise that doesn't end up being developed further can be left feeling disappointed.

I suspect this is exactly the reason why MHA has such a giant fandom. The show's clown-car cast means that pretty much no character really gets "deep" treatment. Instead we get 1,000 tantalizing flashes of really, really cool possibilities. We get sucked in by an awesome idea, get frustrated when the cool character/premise barely gets touched again after that, and then feverishly fill the empty space with fanfic and fanart. (I'm lucky that my favorites, Izuku and All Might, were about the most main of main characters, and even they felt somewhat shallow. I can't imagine the agony of being, say, a Momo fan.)

Unfortunately when a story does this, it also means that it's inevitably going to disappoint its fanbase. It tossed out 1,000 awesome ideas but it only has space to cultivate a small handful of those into proper plotlines… not only is it sad to see all the unused plot threads peter out, but usually the realized story ends up outright contradicting at least a few very popular fan theories and hopes. This doesn't mean the story's bad, far from it. But in these weekly-chapter stories where fans have years or decades to get attached to their interpretations and predictions, praying each week that yes, it seems like a long shot, but maybe the story will veer off into X… things quickly spiral into enormous bitterness when those decades of hope are finally snuffed out for good. (This same phenomenon makes me dread the eventual end of One Piece…)

MHA had a lot of people going "it's not like other shonen!" because it had lots of promising ideas. But it turned out that… yes, it is just another shonen. Shonen are tons of fun, and I love MHA overall. But man, it got hit hard by those high expectations.

I was a bit harsh (and incorrect) in my post, saying Izuku/All Might haven't changed at ALL, and that quirklessness meant NOTHING. It gets outright confusing when there are characterization backsies like the ones I described. Which is canon: the single panel where a character says "quirklessness is a big deal to me!" or the way that every other character behavior and plot point screams "sure doesn't seem like it"? They're both real. And this discrepancy depends on the reader's interpretation too: I'm extremely picky about characterization, while someone less anal might not see any contradiction at all. So we get All Might fans insisting that the show made quirkless issues into a huge enormous part of the plot/characters, and meanwhile I don't see it, and get annoyed and preachy because it feels like the narrative is being unfairly ascribed depth and profundity that I really wanted but never actually saw from it. How dare!

ANYWAY, I highly recommend checking out the rest of the show. I have a feeling the final arc is going to look amazing in animated form once it's finally done. The final section is a combo of delightfully over-the-top shonen insanity and surprisingly weighty outcomes. We can debate whether it really earned those outcomes, but I'm at least pleased that it tried.

In your tags for a post (about how showrunners cancel shows or "bully" fan-fav characters when their audience turns out to be mostly women), you mentioned that Bourassa initially killed off Reynauld, but then brought him back in the DLC due to demand/money. Where was the Reynault death mentioned? How was he supposed to die?

Rey's death was looking like fridging, at least, to me. his disembodied helmet was all over the promotion material, for example:

or the art bourassa drew to congratulate people with... was it christmas? i think it was christmas

and the pattern continued. Rey's chopped off helmet was in backgrounds, dropped somewhere with corpses, and he wasn't one of the starting cast - *despite* the fact that crusader has the //most// backer heroes of any class in DD1, sitting at proud 64 (compared to maa who is in second place and only has 32). so... the demand for crusader was loud and clear.

but crusaders were all wiped out in dd2, suspiciously. at best, we have some shambling corpses (with neat designs, not denying that) but still. dd2 (unless they changed the voicelines) notes how crusaders were all killed off "long ago" (one of the reasons i saw dd2 as a spinoff or some what-if, since there is our boy Dis, and he canonically met at least one, so either Dis is still a vampire, or timeline doesn't make any sense... but i digress).

the last nail in the coffin for me personally was the fact that they put Rey's chopped off helmet as an obscured detail in the "and they lived happily ever after" epilogue:

again, it was placed where you wouldn't naturally look - because your eyes traced the light source and Junia having someone to hold hands with, and then follow the camera movement to Dis (unless you were reading subtitles, but then again, then you'd be focused on the words themselves, not on what was behind them).

to me, this was a loud and clear message: this is the most you'll get out of the crusader. his head, dropped somewhere on the wayside. he will not be back, stop pestering us.

but then, i guess, the game wasn't doing so hot monetarily, so... they got him and dragged him back, shoving him and his crusader plotline in a world which established that the crusaders "all were not seen for hundreds of years". which, again - how is Rey still alive, how the hell Dis knows him, what is the passage of time in this game-- okay, i stop, i already feel my blood pressure rising, sorry.

the reason why i bring the suspicion of the game not doing too well financially is a) ridiculous price of the DLC, based on the amount of content it provides, clearly geared to fleece people who wanted their reymas all along and b) RH got sold to Behaviour Interactive; pay-walling crusader looked like a way to grab cash while struggling to avoid acquisition, and their decision to now ship other characters from previous cast (using the same model of payment from the looks of it) tangentially supports this suspicion

sorry for lack of my usual links and sources, but i'm so disappointed with this game (and the fuckery RH pulled with their fanart contest) that i genuinely don't want to acknowledge its existence and to me personally it was tragically cancelled during development. this is the way i cope with the way RH butchered characters in dd2.

Can you do more with player!reader x Marauder? Maybe something with Marauder learning about the players life during battle, and being surprised about there being a fandom (and the "humiliating" art of the slayer) I have seen enough catboy doomslayer to last a lifetime. Pretty sure he'd get a kick out of fanart and memes.

Okay, I don't think many people care but I want to clarify something. I cleaned up my blog and left only my own art (and out of stupidity I accidentally deleted some of my own pieces, I will be in mourning because very kind people had really left me comments that really cheered me up and I'm gonna miss them, but that's a a whole ottertopic, I'll probably make a couple of posts at some point to compile the pieces I accidentally deleted and bring them back to this part of the internet. jsjjs).

I didn't have any bad intentions with this, I made the mistake of using what was previously my personal fandom account (and even worse than without any specific fandom, I only reblogged things about all the things I like) and that mixed it up with my art account. For this stopped feeling comfortable deliberately reblogging everything cause my mind said: "oh, These people probably only follow me for my fanarts of those specific fandoms or because they confused me with a fandom blog, this must look like very annoying random spam, cause, I mean, what does that random anime have to do with my previous fanarts? nothing, don't reblog that random thing then so as not to bother them"

This was giving me totally irrational anxiety, so yes, from now on this will be a blog about my own art, Of course, my art is about fandoms, I only have a couple of ocs abandoned there, but you undertand what I mean jsjsj

To my mutuals I just want to tell you that I love you very much and that I will be creating a new blog to spam you with love again and also to spam my stuff without feeling guilty jsjsjs... probably, let's face it, I'm really lazy, but that doesn't mean I love you any less. See you <3

One of Fran’s follower’s here. Just want to give a heads up that I’m not siding with that anon at all, why they’re harassing a teenager and their moot is beyond me, but I do have a question out of genuine curiosity.

If you don’t mind me asking, I wanted to know why you are/were interested in a show like South Park. The show is full of racist, transphobic, ableist, queerphobic, etc humor, it makes light of serious topics, and has a lot of gross scenes involving their child characters. I’m pretty sure the show has also used slurs they cannot reclaim multiple times.

I dunno. I’m just having a hard time understanding why someone might find enjoyment in a show like that, and wanted to ask you properly rather than what that anon is doing by harassing Fran for something they’re not even a part of.

First, I DON'T support any of the messages or actions of the show such as problematic topics, racism, transphobic, celebrity ridicule etc, I just joined the fandom because the characters seemed very welcoming to me and just enjoyed the ones that were mostly focused on the characters themselves

I'll be honest with you I haven't watched the WHOLE show ( total 15-16 seasons out of 26 ) and skipped a lot of episodes that are straight-up uncomfortable and bad

I tend to try new stuff, it's really not that deep, it's just the same thing as people who enjoy Family Guy, American Dad etc

So yeah, I don't blame you all for not liking the show because, well it's SOUTH PARK but harassing my moot over it is not cool so you all should stop

Do I still like South Park? Yeah, does it really matter?? No, because that anon should mind their own business, I do it out of enjoyment and to have some gigs for myself, Cringe?? The whole fandom has its own history bro so yeah I'm not surprised people seem to be confused and cringed ( as any normal human being reaction lol ) and yeah expect me to draw more cringe fanart or even animations

But again please DO NOT ATTACK OTHERS FOR HAVING AN ISSUE THAT IS ABOUT ME and straight up say whatever you want in my face so we can discuss it together

It just embarrassing the fact that I just befriended that Moot not really long time ago and this is what they got as a first impression on me

Hey! Not sure if i can do this cause it’s not really a confession but you must be pretty involved in the snape fandom so you might have seen what i’m talking about. Basically it was a fanart about how severus’ hair length changed from year to year during his hogwarts education and i saw it once and haven’t been able to find it since 😭
