Seeing house rated highly on netflix gives me some joy that media literacy isn't dead

Cus lets face it house on surface level is all slurs that could easily not vibe well with us gen z'ers (that's being charitable I forget how many racist / sexist jabs he makes but they're always making me go 🤨 and not just house everyone's morally questionable) but then the bigger narratives of every ep is so chefs kiss (like that TB episode scratching on performative activism with the guy who genuinely enjoyed advocating for healthcare in an LEDC but house being adamant the doctor was being selfish in the sense he loved the media attention) (or the one day one room ep on SA and abortion and assigning meaning to events out of our control, eugh it's always a treat seeing house become soft and unravel his true beliefs)

This isn't gonna be a long well thought out post, it just makes me happy the fandom is thriving and still finds things to appreciate abt this 20 yr old show. For its time I'd think it was rlly contrarian and i just devour the "everybody lies" theme
