The tragedy of succession is that everyone is a villian. Shiv and Tom drama can`t be solved by point a finger at one of the two and saying "she/he is the one on the wrong" because they are both are. They both have been horrible people to each other. Putting the blame in just one goes against what the show wants to say.

And yes I think Tom is an asshole for doubting her and her pregnancy.#But it makes perfectly sense for him to doubt her and her whole family.#The Roys and everyone in the company have been fucking with Tom from the begging.#They have been using him over and over again#mistreating him#cheating on him and even almost sending him to prison just to save themselves.#Is he a saint? Fuck no#he is not a good person either. But it makes sense for his character to doubt Shiv#the person he always loved but also the one who betrayed him and used him the most.#Should he have reacted as he did? No. Agains he is NOT a good person. But it makes senes.#We feel bad for Shiv bc as a viewer we know she is being honest and we have been with her the most so we feel more attached with her.#But she is not a good person either.
