Today I learned the phrase "Promethean Over Reacher" which basically describes my favourite type of character ever
#Basically a character who has an ambition that goes against nature or the natural order of things and they suffer as a result of achieving#that goal#As in Prometheus who stole fire from the gods to give to humans and as a result had his liver pecked out by eagles for all eternity#But yeah. Victor Frankenstein Annabel McAllistair Ed and Al from FMA Dr Tenma from Astro Boy#Actually I don't always love the character. Sometimes I hate them#But my favourite stories all have Promethean over reachers
