I have been stuck in Knitting Jail for most of this year, slowly working on making just a bunch of basic ass scarves to give out on Crimbus
They are wonky, they're frankly put downright laughable, but they're usable and extremely soft and that's what really matters
#Yarncraft Diary#Moon posting#Somehow fucked up the color balancing on the second photo so they look really red in that one but I can't be bothered to fix that#No I did not bother with rolling them all out because. They're just wonky ass scarves man. They're not that interesting#One is just a plain white scrf and three have like even striping patterns on them#Really the only ''interesting'' one is the bottom one on the second photo since the middle section of it is green#So there's only stripes on the ends of it#But yeah. They're just rectangles. Extremely wonky rectangles#Yes I did block them you can even see it on the slightly pointy sides of the scarves lmao#Tbh the wonkiness kinda looks worse when they're just rolled out on a flat surface like this#Like if you were actually wearing them the wonkiness wouldn't be that noticable (probably)#Also to be fair I probably could've finished these sooner had I not taken breaks to do other projects between scarves but like.#Knitting scarves is not interesting. I was losing my fucking mind. I needed breaks desperately#So I did other shit from time to thime#But it's fine now 'cause these fuckers are DONE and I am FREE from Knitting Jail and can return to Crochet My Beloved

I would loooove to see what you do with Don't You Dare Pity Me! Any OC you think it would work well with!
Okay, this took me forever to do and I’m sorry but I hope it’s alright lol, also there’s some eye gore in this so uh if you don’t like that you might wanna not read this one.( @badthingshappenbingo)
The world around Ronan dissolved into a dull haze of pain and indistinct shapes that he couldn’t identify thanks to the blood pooling in his eye sockets. Which was the aftermath of a blade puncturing them before being ripped back out seconds later leaving him cupping a hand over his face as if that would help and swallowing his low groans of pain as the person who’d done this to him took a step closer. He lashed out blindly, grinning despite himself when the sound of a skull cracking against pavement followed.
“You fucker,” his attacker spat, scrambling audibly to their feet. “I thought blinding you would be enough, do I have to fucking kill you too?”
“I dare you to try.” he growled, baring his teeth in the general direction of the voice which was apparently enough to scare them off, leaving Ronan blind and alone in an alley unable to fully defend himself, and unwilling to seek help.
Eventually he knew the damage would heal, he could already feel his body working to repair itself but it would take awhile and as much as he hated to admit it, he was starting to panic. Being without his sight was bad enough, and he wasn’t just blindfolded or something. His eyes were ruined, not permanently of course but right now they were still a painful mess of blood and torn tissue which could only be described as equal parts agonizing and disgusting.
Down the street he could hear someone shouting for him, probably Alex but he only backed himself further into the alley. He didn’t want to be found like this.
“Ronan!” Alex shouted, the sound of his sneakers pounding against the ground nearby ruining his plans to just stay hidden and wait out the healing process. “What happened?” he asked, his footsteps slowing to a stop and his voice lowering in obvious concern.
“Nothing.” he replied quickly, deliberately lowering his face to hide the damage.
“Are you sure?” he asked, placing a hand on Ronan’s shoulder that was quickly ripped away as his back hit the opposite wall with a loud crack.
“Fuck,” he swore, scrambling over where he thought he landed. “I didn’t mean to do that, are you alright?”
“Y-yeah, I didn’t mean to scare you- sorry.”
“No, you didn’t scare me, don’t worry. Can you get up?” he added, reaching out a hand to help that never found him.
“Yeah, I can get up. Ronan um, can you- see?” he asked hesitantly.
“Yes,” he replied quickly. “Of course I can.”
“How many fingers am I holding up?”
Ronan fell silent, blinking furiously to try and clear his vision but he couldn’t even identify where Alex’s hand was and he only succeeded in straining his eyes and causing himself more pain, still he wasn’t ready to give in and admit it just yet.
“…Six.” he guessed, flinching when Alex placed his hand on his shoulder once again and turned his head to the side with his free hand so that Ronan was facing him and he could see what remained of his eyes.
“Why’d you lie?” he asked, sounding confused but it was hard to tell when he couldn’t see his face.
“Because I don’t need yours, or anyone else’s pity.” he snapped, jerking his head away from Alex’s grip and directing his blind gaze back to the ground.
“Pity- you mean help?” he asked slowly.
“Same thing.” Ronan replied.
“It’s really not.”
“It doesn’t matter, it’ll heal on its own so I don’t need your help. You can go.”
“No,” he replied, much to Ronan’s confusion. “I’m not going to let you sit blind and alone in some dirty alley to wait for your eyes to heal. At the very least I’m waiting with you.”
“Fine.” he sighed, fully collapsing against the alley wall in defeat. He would have argued more but he could feel the healing process setting in so, he decided to drop it and focus on not screaming or passing out in front of Alex.
By now he probably should have been used to the feeling of things, snapping back into place or knitting themselves back together but it still felt unnatural to him and the fierce burning it caused never got any easier to ignore. Ronan tipped his head back against the cool bricks of the wall, breathing shallowly through his nose, his jaw clenched tight enough that it felt like something was going to break.
“Are you okay?” Alex asked carefully and all Ronan could manage in response was a weak nod, he’d done this before. If he was being honest, he’d done worse. He’d cracked teeth while trying not to cry out and survived worse injuries in worse circumstances. Of course he was okay.
“Okay…” Alex replied, not sounding convinced. “If you say so.”
