It's Been A Long Time, Old Friend (Part I) - Unburnt!Darth Vader x Reader
summary: where Darth Vader arrives on the planet of Lianna. Only to discover that the Queen of Lianna was once his old flame during his Jedi years.
"And there you are! You're all set to go your Excellency." Chira, your handmaiden said after putting some final touches to your look.
"Chira, you know you don't have to call me that when we're alone right?" You responded, looking at yourself in the large vanity mirror. Your husband, Kairos, King of Lianna, was having meeting with the Emperor's right hand man, Lord Vader. Ever since your arranged marriage to him, it is expected of you to appear alongside him in his meetings to get a second opinion and to look like an accessory.
Never in million of years you would find yourself in an arranged marriage to a man you've never met, but here you are. Two years after the fall of the Jedi, you've traveled from planet to planet, evading inquisitors from finding and capturing you. There was one day you found yourself in a slave trading operation, where you sold off as a promising bride to your now husband, King Kairos of Lianna. At first, Kairos was hesitant in marrying you since you were a slave, but he had a duty to give his father a long lineage of heirs and his people a beautiful Queen to follow.
However, the marriage had been rocky from the get-go and continued to remain that way. You were never interested in him nor was he into you. No matter how hard you both tried to like each other, and understand one another, you both would always have opposing viewing points and would always clash. Maybe it had something to do with your Jedi beliefs instilled in you or your distaste towards members of royal families, or the fact your husband was a bootlicker for the Emperor and his Galactic Empire, and was a constant supplier for their TIE fighters.
Because of this, you both decided to remain separate from each other from all hours of the day, as you both had your own duties to fulfill. You both eventually agreed to sleep in separate chambers due to how sour the marriage had turned.
As dangerous and stupid of an idea it was at the time, you believed it was somewhat a smart plan on your end to marry a royal family member. The inquisitors couldn't suspect a former Jedi to marry into royalty, right? Luckily, it helps that women who are apart of the Royal Family of Lianna, are expected to wear face paint and makeup to cover up their real identity. A similar practice that derived from the Royal Family of Naboo.
You had also cut yourself off the force right after the rise of the Empire. After Obi-Wan had told you that Anakin had turned to the dark side, you both knew what was expected to come for the both of you. Obi-Wan had gone his separate way, and you followed suit onto your own path.
Now here you were, covered in white face paint, heavy purple eyeshadow, and bright red lipstick embellished your facial features.
Chira assisted you in your royal gown. The gown was a deep purple, adorned with thousands of beads from the waist down. Chira placed your large halo crown onto your head, securing it place.
"Andddddd we're done! It looks like it's time for your meeting!" Chira said, eyeing you up and down, making sure you were looking like royalty.
"Thank you Chira. You are free to leave." You replied. Chira bowed before exiting your chambers.
You met your husband on the landing pad to the palace, where you both awaited for the arrival of Lord Vader.
"Darling, don't you look delightful today." Your husband, Kairos spoke up, lending his arm for you to take.
"Don't I always do?" You quipped, wrapping your arm around his. The whirring sound of a ship approached the landing pad. The door to the ship opened, revealing a line of stormtroopers, as they walked down the ramp. Right behind them, stood the terrifying Darth Vader.
"Ah, Lord Vader, shall we began our discourse?" Kairos spoke up, bowing to him, to which I silently followed his action.
"As always King Kairos." Lord Vader responded. The three of us, alongside the stormtrooper and our guards made our way to the conference hall.
-
The meeting was long and agonizing, as per usual. Kairos would argue for a larger price, the opposing party would try to bargain for a lower price, and yadda yadda.
Though this was your first meeting with the Emperor's apprentice, you have to stay, you weren't as intimidated as you thought you were. Yeah, you've heard grisly stories about the Sith Lord and cruel he can be, but after having to sit 2 hours straight across from him wasn't as bad. However, you did feel small under his gaze. His attention may be focused on your husband, but you couldn't help but sense the seeking glances from the Sith Lord himself from time to time.
"Perhaps we could ask your wife about her thoughts on this matter." Vader's mechanical voice shook you out of your thoughts and brought you back to reality. You looked at your husband, then at Lord Vader, before speaking up.
"Well, I do think it's possible to increase production and have our men producing 20,000 TIE fighters per week the next four weeks with the price of 7,000,000 Imperial credits." You offered, the amount that was way less than what your husband had originally offer, that being 20,000,000. Kairos feigned a smile as he squeezed your thigh in response to your offer, indicating that he was not satisfied with the amount you've offered to Lord Vader.
"We have a deal. I will return in two weeks to see the progress. It was a pleasure doing business with you as always King Kairos." The Sith Lord responded, now standing abruptly from his seat. Both Kairos and I followed suit. Kairos shaking his hand with Lord Vader, sealing the deal.
"And I see you have a wife. From what I recall, I don't remember you being married." The Sith Lord piqued. I adverted my gaze away from Lord Vader's intense gaze. Kairos squeezed my arm before speaking up.
"Well, we haven't been married that long Lord Vader. We had just gotten married shortly after our last meeting, so it's been 4 months." Kairos smiled down at me, to which I returned. "You will see her more often in our future encounters my Lord."
"I look forward to them." Vader responded, eyeing me up and down once more. Kairos and I assist Vader and his stormtroopers to his ship on the landing pad. After watching his ship depart, Kairos releases his arm from mine and walks back inside the palace, into his private chambers. I sigh to myself, watching Lord Vader's ship fly off in the horizon, before making my way into my chambers.
-
He couldn't put a finger on it, but something about you stirred something inside him. He didn't want to stare at you for too long, he knew it would make you uncomfortable, but there was just something about you that seemed familiar. Upon landing on the landing pad, he felt a faint force signature. Though you cut off yourself off from the force two years ago, some parts of you still lingered in the force.
After Vader's departure from the palace, he hadn't left the planet's atmosphere yet. In fact, his ship was on autopilot in the sky as he was busy sending a message to his master to tell him his discovery. Vader had a mission to get rid of every last Jedi, whether it meant to turn them into inquisitors or kill them off entirely.
"Master, it would seem I've made a discovery." Vader spoke to the blue figure on the holotable to his ship.
"And what would that discovery be Lord Vader?" The Emperor's tone sounding a bit impatient at his apprentice's words.
"It would appear that Queen of Lianna could be a force-sensitive individual, Master."
"Is that so my apprentice? What an interesting discovery... Perhaps we could turn her into a pawn, or a weapon... I would keep an eye on this one, Lord Vader. Perhaps she is a lot stronger with the force than we may realize." The Emperor responded, somewhat surprised that a Jedi had found themselves entangled in a royal family.
"Yes my master." Vader responded before the figure of Palpatine disappeared from the holotable. He had a new objective now. Vader wanted to alter the deal now. Instead of visiting in two weeks to check on the progress, he in fact, wanted to oversee the progress every day until he had gotten his TIE fighters. With this, Vader had made his way back to the palace.
-
"Your Majesty! You must come quickly!" Chira, your handmaiden had barged into your chambers. Unsure what was happening, you dropped the book you were reading and followed her.
"What's the matter Chira? Has something happened?" You asked, both of you fastening your pace in the direction of the throne room.
"I-it's Lord Vader. He came back...The King requested your presence." Chira huffed out. Both you and Chira arrived outside the tall doors to the throne room. You took a deep breath and corrected your posture before entering the room. The doors slowly opened, revealing the backsides of numerous stormtroopers and Lord Vader. Kairos, was seated on his throne, talking to Lord Vader when you caught his attention.
"My love, come." Kairos stood up, gesturing for you to come sit in your throne next to his. The stormtroopers and Lord Vader turn around to face you as you hurriedly made your way over to your royal seat.
"I have altered the deal. I will be overseeing the progress on the TIE fighters from now." Darth Vader's voice echoed throughout the room. You nervously looked over at your husband, unsure what he had gotten yourselves into.
"Y-Yes, your Lord. May I ask-"
"There will be no questions. I ask that you will provide my men lodging and meals for the duration of their stay." The Sith Lord interrupted him. To which Kairos could do nothing about nod enthusiastically at Lord Vader's requests. "Tomorrow, you will provide me a tour of your facilities as I will begin to oversee all production of my TIE fighters."
"Of course my Lord." Kairos stood up, bowing to Lord Vader. You sat there, staring at your husband, anxious of what was yet to come.
-
"What the hell was that Kairos?!" You exclaimed. Both you and Kairos were having another one of your disputes in his chambers once again. This time, it was about Lord Vader's little vacation at the palace and overseeing the planet's assets. "When are you going to stop kissing the Empire ass and stand up for yourself for once?"
"I had no choice Y/N! Have you forgotten that Lord Vader and the Emperor are the most cruel and powerful beings in this star system?! They'll cut off my arm if I were to disagree with them." Kairos retorted. You scoffed at the same excuse he had used ever since you brought this topic up. "The Empire is funding our planet. We are an asset to the Empire. We're becoming richer and richer with every TIE fighter and Imperial weapons we sell them. With this, we can help our people."
"I don't know want to hear it anymore Kairos. Our people still suffer at the hands of the Empire, whether it is happening directly or indirectly." You made your way to the door. "You may not see it now, but the damage done to the planet and the people will be irreparable when you come to your senses." With that, you slammed the door your husband's door shut. You huffed out in frustration, your heels clicking on the marble flooring as you stormed toward your chambers. Little did you know, Vader was around the corner, eavesdropping on the argument that you and Kairos had moments ago. The Sith Lord smiled to himself, realizing that he use this to further manipulate the King of Lianna with the knowledge that his marriage was crippling.
-
After taking a long soak in your bath and finishing your nighttime routine, you were eager to get some rest. Shutting the lamp on your nightstand, you began to snooze off.
Images of being in the Jedi Temple began to flood your dreams. Realizing what your mind was doing, you tried to shut down those dreams, worried that it would pull you deeper into the force and down the path of memories that you did not want to relive. But what you didn't know, Darth Vader was in the meditation chambers that the Lianna medical staff and engineers had constructed for the Sith Lord. Darth Vader was using the force to encourage you to reveal yourself. There was something oddly familiar about you that made him curious.
After trying to get into your mind, he couldn't. Either you had nothing interesting going in your mind or that you were really good at blocking him out. Vader knew he had to be careful. He couldn't give away his true intentions to why he was here on the planet of Lianna. Yes, he and Palpatine need the TIE fighters, however this is different now. A force-sensitive woman who was a Queen was the topic interest at the moment. Plus, Vader needed to be away from the Death Star. Staring at the dark gray walls and into hyperspace just wasn't cutting it for him. Luckily the planet of Lianna was filled with lush gardens and vast lakes that Vader and his men could enjoy the duration of their stay.

could you do some headcanons of the obey me characters with a cat hybrid S/O?
Belphegor
Belphie was never a fan of cats or dogs. He preferred cows or bulls. Big animals could do whatever they wanted because they were big.
However, cat naps were something he related to, the ability to fall asleep anywhere and everywhere.
That day, though, when he first met you, he couldn't take his eyes off your Purple ears or tail.
He could read your emotions almost clearly as day, even if your face was stoic. Your ears or tail would always give you away.
You entranced him even more when he was freed and allowed back out with the family again.
One night, when you all were watching a movie together, he chose to curl up on the side of the couch next to you. When he arose, your pretty tail was languidly swaying on top of him.
The day you allowed him to touch your tail or ears was quite eventful. You explained to him how sensitive they were; of course, you never let someone you had a crush on touch your ears or tail.
Imagine the shock on both your faces when you purred so loudly that people down the hall heard you. Let's just say he was so disappointed when you avoided him for the rest of the week.
Whenever you two would nap from the day you got together, he never let you go; your head rested on his chest, and your tail wrapped gently around his waist.
Beelzebub
Beel didn't really have a favorite animal; they all kind of just digested down to food in the end. If he had to pick one, though, he definitely would choose a mouse. Maybe they weren't strong, but they were really good at evading him.
Beel loved food more than anything so a quick bite was all on his mind till you came along.
When you came to the house with your Orange tail and ears he was smitten, like a kitten. ( I love puns okay)
You were super emotional, and he never knew how to help until one day, he gave you some of his food.
Like him, your anger, sadness, frustration, happiness, and all emotions were cured with yummy food.
Beel began to monitor your reaction to food and how your ears would move around to the noises of sizzling or popping. Or how your tail would swish or wriggle when you had a particular meal.
Soon, Beel became more concerned about what food to get and what to give you to see your cute emotions over his hunger.
Beel also loved to take you to work out with him. You were powerful and unique at climbing. You could do some of the more advanced level climbing boards that he was not even a pro at.
When you two finally got together, Beel made it a habit to take you out to eat before a workout, then have you and him race on an obstacle course, only to end the night with more food and cuddles.
Asmodeus
Asmo really loved Bunnies. I mean, come on, they were so cute and adorable. They had perfect pink noses and beautiful coats of fur, and a bonus was that they weren't loud or obnoxious.
However, he made an exception to his animal choices when you came around.
Your Pink tail and ears were the icing on the cake, matching your cute gestures and aesthetics.
Asmo couldn't wait to dress you up and make you the object of others' desires, especially his.
You spent most of your days in his room, trying on clothes and being measured for new outfits to accentuate your cat-like features.
The one-time Asmo got too close to your tail while measuring you interested him. You wrapped your tail around his arm without realizing it, only for him to point it out and you to run away.
From then on, Asmo was cautious until you let him touch your cat-like appendages.
Once you two finally got together, the outfits became less cute, and Kawai, as Levi would put it, they became more lustful and sexy.
Asmo enjoyed showing you off to everyone and letting them all know you were his beautiful kitty.
His new favorite accessory when you would accompany him to fashion shows or influencer events was your pretty tail wrapped around his wrist just like before.
Satan
Satan loved cats. They were perfect creatures—big cats, small cats, kittens—all cats were amazing.
When you came to the house, he had a hard time keeping his distance. Due to this, he became very angry and wrathful all the time.
You had gorgeous Green ears and a fluffy tail. He was in love at first sight. He was so mad at himself and then, in turn, you.
It wasn't until he finally started to accept you that he saw your ears upright and your tail not rigid.
Once you two found common ground in reading and writing, he often had you in his library.
You two would share book suggestions, and he could always tell how well you liked the literature he offered based on how your ears or tail would move.
Due to his extensive knowledge of cats, he tried to go waaaaaay too overboard on impressing you.
You had to remind him you are still human, so eating raw mice wasn't your go-to.
However, the day he pulled out a red laser pointer, you were hooked, and even while you were trying to be mad at him for abusing your cat-like mind, you couldn't help but play chase.
When you two finally got together, you could be found lying on his lap with your head on his shoulder, getting the best pets while Satan was content with the world for once.
Leviathan
Levi was obsessed with snakes. He had many of them throughout his life and was very fond of them.
When you came to the house, not only did he find a passion for cats, but he also had all his Otaku dreams fulfilled.
You were every anime boy's wet dream, and especially Levi's. He could only imagine how your soft Blue ears and tail felt.
Levi was always very shy, so it took a long time before he approached you. Though you were less shy than him, you also had your reservations.
The night you two finally bonded, you were talking to Mammon about going to a convention in town.
Due to your appearance, you thought you could make some quick money and enjoy meeting some artists you had grown to like.
Levi begged Mammon to let him go in his place, leaving you two to enjoy the con.
Levi was enamored with your cute maid outfit that perfectly matched your tail and ears.
When the con ended, he found out you two had a lot in common, so most afternoons from then on were spent in his room playing games and watching anime.
While looking for his controller one night, he accidentally grabbed your tail, which really upset you.
He spent all week apologizing and buying you figurines to make it up to you for invading your space.
When you two finally got together, he always loved it when you took his body pillows place and slept with him in his tub.
Mammon
Mammon preferred money over anything but an expensive animal that would look cool now he could get behind that. He always thought the pet monkeys celebs had were hot and wanted one.
When you come to the Devildom, and became his problem, he realized why his younger brother is obsessed with cats.
Your Yellow ears and tail were fascinating and honestly hot af.
He wanted to touch them so badly the man was greedy to see what would happen.
When he touched your ears, he realized how elegant you were. Though you showed disinterest in the touch, you held your ground with him.
Soon, Mammon witnessed your spending habits; you were one boujee kitty.
As a joke, Mammon bought you a real gold bell to wear with one of his yellow ties, which he fashioned into a collar. He never expected you to actually wear it or keep it.
The man was hooked from then on and did everything in his power to make you love him.
You had him spending all the money on Goldie and all his payback on you to gain your love.
You two were on the prowl when you finally caved in and accepted Mammon's desires.
While you swindled money from people with your looks and poise, he was spending the money on you two.
You two were the hottest cats in town.
Lucifer
Lucifer was a dog person through and through. They were trainable, obedient, and loyal. He didn't want any other animal because none would ever follow as directly as a dog would.
He was apprehensive when he heard from Dia about your appearance in the Devildom. A half-cat half-human would not be controllable and only cause him more headaches.
When he finally met you, he was taken aback by your elegant beauty. Your Black ears and tail suited your regal face.
He still didn't like cats, but he could get behind in liking you over time if you proved yourself.
You were bold and strong. You stood up for yourself and others. You could take no for an answer but make things work your way.
Lucifer was getting hooked, and it was terrible. He needed control.
When you two were alone, he slowly started implementing rules and guidelines. You always followed them, well, to an extent.
Lucifer found your boldness to disobey him at times almost thrilling. You showed no fear and no hesitance.
When Lucifer finally accepted his feelings for you and went to confess, you already beat him to the punch. You took control of him and planned the dates and events.
Once officially dating Lucifer only found peace when you were with him, you were intelligent, cunning, and a go getter. You also were very cooperative about getting him to take a break. Why would he give up a chance to have you resting against him while he got to pet your head?
Barbatos
Barbatos was very fond of birds. He often found them beautiful in their patterns and voices when he went on errands for Dia.
When you came to the Devildom, he was mildly put off by you. He figured you would eat the birds he was so fond of.
Course, he couldn't lie; the Gray fur of your tail and ears was attractive.
Over time, Barbatos grew used to your presence with the brothers. You posed no real threat or harm to the things he enjoyed.
He liked how aloof you were. You kept to yourself day in and day out, giving him time to deal with other matters.
However, over time, he grew worried about you. Yes, you communicated with others when needed, but you looked lonely.
Barbatos made the first contact, inviting you to assist him with cooking, which you were exceptionally skilled.
Soon, he invited you on errands through the realms, and you also assisted him with Dia's antics.
As you grew warmer with him and showed him more emotions, he couldn't help but grow attached to you lovingly.
One night, while on the castle's balcony, he finally asked you if he could touch your extra appendages. He was curious if, like demons, they were sensitive too.
When you allowed him, he felt very connected to you. Before him, another person who was withdrawn from society and was only close to those deemed worthy.
Barbatos, not too long after, asked you out, and soon you two were inseparable.
You made his life more manageable, and if he ever got too overwhelmed, you were wrapping your tail around some part of him to remind him you two have got this.
Diaovlo
Diaovlo related hardest to a Hedgehog, he was pokey in the eyes of others, being the big boss of hell, but he was also warm and kind on the inside once you actually met him.
People were afraid to get close to him except for the few who knew him from the get-go; being a royal can be pretty lonely.
When you came to the Devildon, Dia was enamored by all the outsiders, but you particularly struck him.
Your Red ears and tail looked nothing like he had seen before. You definitely were special.
Dia fell for you from the sidelines as you studied and learned, grew with the brothers, and helped them bond.
When you officially met Dia outside of school, he had already learned all your tail and ear patterns. He knew upon your arrival in his home you were nervous.
Realizing your apprehension about being there, he was saddened by your worries and nerves. You expected him to be some giant mean demon.
When you reached out to Dia to ask him why he was so down, he was honestly touched. He was great at putting on a mask, so how did you know?
When you explained to Dia you weren't afraid of him but of someone breaking something in his home, he was relieved and taken aback.
That night, Dia laughed a full laugh. He found someone truly unafraid of him.
Dia often invited you around the castle, showing you ancient texts and helping you with your studies.
When you finally admitted your feelings to one another, it was soft and gentle. The only time any fangs were bared was whenever you or he heard someone talking bad to one of you two.
Solomon
Solomon loved goats, not only because they were perfect for his witchcraft but also because they were just so darn adorable before they got big.
For some reason, there weren't many animals to really use as sacrifices, and cats—well, they were pretty sacred creatures.
When Solomon met you during the program, he was enamored. You were beautiful, with gorgeous Creme-colored ears and tail. You looked ethereal.
Solomon made it his goal to get to know the human anomaly. He had heard of nekotism but only from spell casting, not from birth.
He was interested in your past, present, and future. He took on an extra workload next to school to research your condition.
When you caught him in the middle of research one day, you weren't offended like he thought you would be. Instead, you just laughed and offered to answer any questions he had.
He was internally grateful and began researching with you by his side.
What was initially learning about you soon became you two learning spells and other crafts together.
Each day, Solomon felt closer and closer to you, like he could finally open up more about himself.
One day, while working on a project together, you grew frustrated. Solomon was in awe when you openly asked him to play with your ears and tail to help you relax.
When Solomon worked up the courage to ask you out, he was pleasantly surprised to find you in your shared study spot working on an elaborate potion to spew out the words "let's go out."
Once official, you two worked hard to learn more about each realm and all it had to offer. You two never left each other's side.
Simeon
Simeon loved foxes. They were such cute, cunning creatures. Foxes are eager to get their little jobs done and protect their young.
When Simeon goes to Hell to learn more about demons and sees his fallen brethren, he is soon distracted by a cute little cat girl.
When he met you, he was obsessed with your Brown ears and tail and asked you over and over how this anomaly came to be.
While he constantly called you out to ask about your condition, he was pleasantly surprised by how caring and calm you were with Luke.
You looked like a mother, a beautiful, graceful, angelic mother. He was so in love but didn't know what love indeed was.
Simeon soon learned about your hobbies and activities. For example, when he discovered that you liked to climb high places, he would help you find the tallest trees.
Simeon loved to cook for you to ensure you were full and happy; seeing your tail swish just mesmerized him.
Over time, Simeon began asking the brothers about his plight whenever he was with you. You sparked so many feelings in him, but to love you would be wrong.
Eventually with encouragement from others Simeon caved in and one moon lit night while you two lounged on the grass him caressing your ears he finally confessed.
Once officially dating, Simeon found any excuse to visit you in Hell. From bringing paperwork to Dia to checking on the brothers for Micahel to even just saying he wanted to see more of what Hell had changed, he was down there with you.

🌳 General Audiences
🌳 3k Words
🌳 Written for the @tohgrimoire

Alador smiled at the display.
To think that in a matter of months his children would become so strong, not only using the magic tracks he and Odalia had assigned to them at birth, but also other types that he'd never even considered before.
He was proud of them. So very proud. He could only hope it wasn't too late for them to know that.
“Alador Blight basking in the sunlight? Never thought I'd see the day.”
This is a story I wrote for The Owl House Grimoire about a year ago, so forgive me if the writing is a bit rusty.
I wanted to focus on the relationship between Alador and his children—have him reflect on everything he did over the years because he followed Odalia's lead, and now he fears the ones he loves most won't accept his apologies. Thus enter Darius! With his own traumatized kinda-but-not-really adopted kid, Hunter!
Thank you to everyone for supporting this project!
“We leave at sunrise.”
Raine Whispers ended the briefing with that statement, removing their hands from the single wooden table in the room and encouraging everyone to disperse and prepare for the battle to come. And so, they did.
Everyone did, except for Alador Blight.
Alador wasn't really sure of where he should go, or what he should do, if he was being honest.
He'd already given all the information he thought would be useful regarding the Abomatons before the briefing—everything from their strengths to their weaknesses. He was also able to work alongside the Construction Coven Head a few days prior on their hideout's defense system, which was quite lacking at the time. He'd even helped in mundane tasks such as treating the injured and scouting for supplies.
The man had given everything he could for this cause. It was the least he could do after aiding the Emperor in his conquest to erase magic. Unknowingly, sure, but still assisted in some way.
Before he could think much of it, he let his feet guide him to wherever he should go next, as he left the safety of the hideout looking for some fresh air, and eventually found himself in a small field behind the abandoned building. Patches of grass that hadn't yet been affected by the Collector's magic surrounded him, and reminded the man of home.
Suddenly he heard voices which immediately put him on high alert, until he turned to see who they belonged to, and his heart couldn't help but squeeze somewhat painfully.
In the distance he could see his children, doing what could only be described as training, along with the human—Luz—and the Golden Guard—Hunter.
Edric and Emira were using their illusion magic to create multiple opponents for the others to fight, Hunter moving at high velocity as he evaded and went on the offensive when he saw an opening. Meanwhile, Luz was utilizing glyphs to amplify his daughter's attacks, which was a great strategy as multiple illusions were being erased in an instant thanks to the purple slime coming from Amity's pouch.
Alador smiled at the display.
To think that in a matter of months his children would become so strong, not only using the magic tracks he and Odalia had assigned to them at birth, but also other types that he'd never even considered before. Glyphs, Healing, Potions, Beast Keeping.
He was proud of them. So very proud. He wanted nothing more than to let them know that, and be sure that they knew it every day of their lives, and to apologize. Titan, he had so much apologizing to do.
He could only hope he wasn't too late for that.
“Alador Blight basking in the sunlight? Never thought I'd see the day.” A deep voice suddenly rang on his left side, which immediately sent the engineer into a fight or flight response as he summoned abomination slime from his pocket towards the stranger.
Before it could make contact however, another magical force interfered with a slime barrier of its own. The annoyed scowl behind the counterattack was one that Alador knew far too well. “Relax you buffoon, it's me.”
Alador must have been more tired than he initially thought. To not notice someone's presence so close to him would've been a mistake that could cost him his life, even if it was just an ally. That was probably the best word he could use to describe his and Darius' relationship: allies with a common goal. Still, that didn't mean he had to pretend to be friendly with him. “Leave me alone.”
Both men released their magic at the same time, with the brunet deciding to return to his previous task as if nothing had happened. He sat down on the patch of flora with his back turned away, yet he could already feel the indignant glare sent his way. “You know, most witches would at least have the decency to say hello. Although I suppose you've never been one for formalities.”
“I'm not in the mood, Deamonne. If something went haywire in the control room, I'll fix it once I'm back.” Alador let out a sigh as he combed a hand through his hair in annoyance. What other reason would Darius have to come and bother looking for him anyway? A moment of silence went by, and for a second he thought the other man might've actually left.
However, that option was quickly shot off the table as Alador dared to look to his side once more.
The Abomination Coven Head was still standing there, although if Alador didn't know any better, he seemed rather fidgety. His expression kept shifting from the ground the engineer was sitting on, to the view on the horizon. Seemingly making up his mind, Darius inserted a hand into his pocket and retrieved a lavender colored piece of cloth. He couldn't be serious.
“Really? A handkerchief?” Alador quipped with a hint of amusement in his voice as the other man placed the piece of fabric on the floor, and hesitantly, sat next to him.
Darius was not making eye contact, but the brunet could still see the blush tainting his cheeks. “I thought you weren't in the mood to talk. Make up your mind, hack.”
Taking that response as a small victory, Alador couldn't help but roll his eyes with a soft chuckle escaping his lips. Just like that, silence overtook the air once more as the sun began to set, leaving a beautiful glow in its wake for the duo to see.
Despite how much he hated to admit it, Darius was right. It had been far too long since Alador had taken the time to admire nature at its finest. The intricate designs in a flower's petals, the strength of a carnivorous plant while capturing its prey, the resistance of hard oak wood to the elements. It was all incredibly inspiring for an inventor such as himself.
It wasn't until Odalia convinced him to use his talents for machines instead, that he forgot how much he enjoyed experimenting with all kinds of materials in his youth.
There were plenty of things Odalia convinced him to do.
“So this is why you were so distracted during the meeting.” Darius broke the silence with a statement rather than a question, staring straight ahead and causing Alador to turn to where the other was looking.
His eyes landed once more on the young teens, who'd apparently decided to change their roleplay this time by having Luz, Amity and Hunter as the offenders, while Edric and Emira deflected. The twins were holding on surprisingly well considering they were outnumbered.
The engineer would have admired it more comfortably if he was alone. Yet alas.
“I wasn't distracted. I guess that nasty habit of sticking your nose into people's business is still going, then?” Alador replied with an unwavering gaze towards the training session.
Something similar to a snort escaped the other man's lips. “Please, an infant could tell that your mind was wandering. It also becomes my business when someone could potentially jeopardize the mission. We've spent too many resources on this for it to fail.”
“I am aware. I'm the one who was able to find the location of those resources.” Alador spared a side glance towards his companion just in time to see him roll his eyes. He carried on as if the engineer hadn't said anything at all.
“In any case, I should be grateful that my inkling was wrong. To think I thought the cause of your brain fart was something important, not your little ‘family drama.’” Darius vaguely gestured in the teen's direction with a dismissive hand.
The words he'd said, however, were anything but dismissive to Alador. A strange and impulsive feeling overtook him for a moment, causing him to turn around and face the other man with a scowl that could have terrified Emperor Belos himself. Anger caused his face to flare and his tone to rise. “My family is far more important to me than anything this rebellion stands for!”
Darius stared back at him with mouth agape, and it was only then that the brunet realized what he'd said. His own eyes widened as he turned to look at the ground beneath him instead, refusing to look anywhere else.
He shouldn't be dumping his problems on others. Especially on Darius of all people.
As for the Coven Head, he seemed to be fidgeting in that awkward way from earlier, playing with the hem of his gloves and tapping one foot quietly. His voice wavered for a moment. “I… I didn't mean to imply-”
“Don't. Just forget it. I don't need your pity.” Alador's voice mumbled firmly. If there was still any dignity left for him to defend, he didn't know. But he definitely wouldn't give the other man the satisfaction to see him like this.
Like the failure that he was.
“I… I know it's not exactly the same. But I can somewhat understand what you're feeling, Blight.” Darius didn't back off, because of course he wouldn't, and instead replied with that statement while trying to meet the engineer's gaze.
However, the words that were spoken served as more fuel to his rage, in which Alador scoffed and lifted his head to look at his old friend with furrowed eyebrows. He reached forward and took hold of Darius' collar with all the strength he had left. It wasn't much. “Understand? You're the last person who could understand what I'm feeling right now! I know I wasn't a good husband— Titan knows I wasn't a good father, either! But for you to be rubbing it in my face like that-!”
“Oh shut up and listen for once, you idiot!” Darius raised his voice in return and went to try and remove Alador's grip from his neck, eyes filled with anger of his own. “You really think I couldn't possibly understand?! The constant feeling of regret because you could've done more and yet you didn't?! Always wanting what's best for them, only to realize too late that what you thought was best wasn't enough!”
Alador's eyes widened at the sudden lashing of rage, but even more so at the words coming from Darius' lips. “How do you know that?”
Seeming to have realized what he'd said as well, the man pulled away from the brunet's grasp and turned elsewhere with an unreadable expression. Following his line of sight, Alador found himself even more confused.
They were staring at the kids in the distance once more, this time seemingly taking a break as they remained sitting down and exchanging drinks. Light banter and laughter could be heard, and the brunet had to admit that it was a lovely sight. But following Darius' gaze more closely, it almost seemed like he was looking at…
“The Golden Guard?” The question left his lips before he could stop it, but the way the other man's shoulders seemed to tense up in response was enough of an answer. It was perhaps against his better judgment, but he was intrigued. “Did you talk to him much when you were in the Emperor's Coven?”
Taking a deep breath, Darius proceeded to pinch the bridge of his nose as he let out a shaky sigh. “Only for official business. It wasn't just me— everyone just talked to him when needed or if they wanted to relay something to Belos. Completely unfazed by the fact that they were talking to a literal child.”
With a quick clench of his fists, Darius turned his attention to the sky above. The red and orange hues signaling the arrival of nightfall were breathtaking, but Alador could tell that the other man wasn't looking at that. His stare was long and far beyond anything the engineer could imagine, and if he was being honest, it almost looked as if there were tears in his eyes.
“After the previous Golden Guard disappeared, I grew curious.” Darius continued his tale, this time with a hint of what could only be described as melancholy in his voice. “By the time I found out the truth, Hunter had already been chosen as the next. I knew what that man was doing to him. I saw it every day, and I did nothing to stop it.”
A choked laugh went past the Coven Head's lips as he shook his head in disbelief. “I thought… as long as I was there, I could protect him if things got out of hand. And look how that turned out…”
Silence fell between them, and for the first time in his life, Alador didn't know how to fix it. The way the other man expressed himself and spoke about the blond boy was something the inventor never thought he'd see, and yet here he was, looking at a man who didn't seem like a Coven Head and instead resembled his old friend from many years ago.
A man who found something much more valuable than his pride.
A man very much like himself.
Before he could stop himself, the brunet reached into his left pocket and retrieved a folded piece of paper, which he wordlessly handed over to Darius sitting next to him.
He merely blinked as he stared at Alador's hand. “What is that?”
“Just take it.” He encouraged once more with his arm, and finally felt the other grab it after a few more moments of hesitation. After hearing the rustling from the paper being unfolded, Alador closed his eyes with a sigh.
Once he'd reunited with his children and learned of Amity's travels in the Human Realm, he was surprised with a gift from his youngest daughter in the form of that same piece of paper that Darius was holding.
It was a family portrait.
His dear Mittens wasn't the most artistically inclined, but he could tell that she'd done her best with what she had. Smiling versions of himself and the twins were staring back at him from the crinkly paper, and the way Amity excitedly talked about where she'd been and everything she'd seen just melted his heart on the spot.
Even now, thinking back on the purpose of the drawing was enough to get him choked up. “When the children were trapped in the Human Realm, they drew pictures of their families to give them the strength needed to not give up hope. Amity gave it to me once we found each other.”
Turning his attention to the sky, he carried on, finally allowing himself to let it all out. “My daughter spent months trying to find a way home to us. To me. Her poor excuse of a father who didn't dare stand up for her because he was too afraid of her mother, and left her to fend for herself. I could've stopped it— I could've stood up to Odalia sooner, but I didn't! And yet,” he raised his head to look at the smiling girl on the horizon, “she's still willing to forgive me. Titan knows why…”
These thoughts had plagued his mind for a while now, but he'd been dismissive of them and focused on his inventions instead, trying to avoid confrontation while convincing himself that it was all for a better cause. In reality, he was running away.
But he didn't want to run anymore. Not ever again.
“For what it's worth… they seem much happier. It doesn't make up for what you did, but I think it's a start.” Darius handed the family portrait back to its owner with the ghost of a smile. “All we can do is try harder.”
“And hope we get it right this time.” Alador found himself concurring with the statement, returning the friendly gesture as he held the poor picture of the people he loved the most in his hands. He couldn't help but chuckle. “Never in a million years did I think you'd be giving me parental advice.”
As quickly as it came, any hint of sympathy for the engineer was wiped off Darius' face as he turned to look ahead once more. “Well, don't get used to it. I just need you in top form if we're gonna pull this whole stunt off.”
“Oh of course, whatever you say…”
“Dad?”
Amity's voice resonated in Alador's ears, bringing an instant smile to his face as he turned to face the teens walking towards them. He quickly stood from the ground to receive them. “Kids! Nice training session! You're getting better every day!”
Emira sheepishly cocked her head to the side, the others only falling behind her by a few steps. “Wait, you saw all of that? Sheesh dad, how long have you been spying on us?”
“It's not like that, I-”
“We noticed you were missing from the rest of the group and came looking for you. It's getting late, so you shouldn't be wandering around by yourselves.” Darius quickly made himself known as he injected into the conversation, sparing Alador of any embarrassment. He'd have to thank him for that later.
“Please, we can handle ourselves just fine! We've been to the Human Realm, which for your information, is in fact very dangerous.” Hunter joined in as he glanced at Darius with skepticism.
“Oh I'm sure that you can, Little Prince! It was actually so nice of you to let the Blight kids overpower you like that! Give them the confidence they need by taking down an elite~” Ruffling the boy's hair affectionately, Hunter began squirming and swatting away with a blush decorating his features, complaining for the older man to cut it out.
As he looked around the laughing group, Alador couldn't help but sigh in content.
There was no telling what the battle to come would bring. But if there was one thing for certain, it was that no matter what, he wouldn't be going at it alone.

Emerald Eyes
(Images used are not mine.)
(DO NOT STEAL MY WRITING, DO NOT REPOST OR TRANSLATE ONTO ANY PLATFORM.)
I love them and I'm SAD (furious) abt how aot ended. 😔
(First person from Mikasa's point of view)
"The mere sight of you has always made me so damn angry," My hands shake on the table and I search Eren's eyes for any sign that he might be lying, joking, anything that would suggest he didn't hate me.
Nothing.
I see nothing in the eyes I've fallen in love with, pools of emerald green painstakingly empty.
He continues, "And now I finally know why. I just couldn't stand to look at a slave with no mind of her own. Who always followed orders without question, believe me when I say this, Mikasa.." He pauses, and I take in a breath in anticipation.
"Ever since I was a kid, I've hated you." I gasp, trying to evade the suffocating tightness in my chest, I feel tears escape my eyes and roll down my face.
The way he says it so nonchalantly sends something bubbling up in my chest in the worst possible way, I feel my heart shatter in my ribs and fail to notice how glossy his eyes become through my tears.
How could he say that? How could he hate me so much even though I love him more than anything? I close my eyes and pray that this is all one big bad dream.
…
Fireworks go off unexpectedly and my heart jumps, I open my eyes and huddle into Eren's side, gripping his hand tighter.
My other hand grips his t-shirt, he laughs, and I turn to face beautiful pools of emerald green, the same emerald green eyes I've fallen so deeply in love with, the eyes I see my future in, the eyes of my soulmate.
Sasha turns when she hears Eren laugh and smirks knowingly, I bring my focus back to Eren's face, but he's looking up at the sky.
I see the reflection of the bright purple fireworks in his eyes and I smile softly, huddling in close and closing my eyes.
One of Eren's strong arms wraps around my shoulders and I look up to see him smiling down at me, he places a chaste kiss to my lips and whispers, only audible for me to hear, "I've always loved you, ever since I was a kid."
I feel something bubbling up in my chest in the best possible way, and I kiss him deeper.
"I love you, Eren." I whisper, the popping of the fireworks background noise compared to the rapid beating of my heart.
“Love you more, Mrs. Jaeger." I hum and lay backwards onto the grass of the field, pulling Eren down with me to look up at the sky together.

TWST x Childe! Reader
"I swear on it forever when that day comes forward,
As long as i'm right here i will never forget you."
A/N: I cried writing this. That's also a warning.
☆
TW: Angst, Blood, No Happy Ending, Cursing
Male! (Y/N) 《Other Genders Will Also Be Made》
☆
When you love someone...chances are you'll never want to let them go, ever. Things change overtime, lives are always lost.
And it was no different for the panic surging through your veins as you rush towards the bathroom stalls. Swiftly gripping ahold of the sink, you spill out the blood from your lips.
Panting with a sigh, eyes drift down towards the one thing you dreaded the most. Maybe a vision wasn't nice...after all...
It never was. Up to now, you knew using both a vision and a delusion was going to kill you if you further use it. But what was the point..? You went against yourself, and fought the pain.
That could well describe the horrid feeling of anxiety and death pooling right into your stomach. "Urgh.." You gurgle, and spit out more amounts of blood into the running faucet. You felt weak. So weak...you couldn't just go out to help like this!
'No..no, i can. I can do this.' Gritting your teeth, you gaze at yourself in the mirror. Unrecognizable. Ha, of course you were.
It was always like that, no matter how long ago that childhood story of yours went off, you could still remember clearly the trauma and suffering you put through.
But now, it felt weaker. As if a large portion of air was taken from your lungs, you gasped for air.
THERE'S NO TIME! THERE'S A FUCKING OVERBLOT!
"Dammit...i need..to go." Pushing through gritted teeth, you wash the red metallic stains in the sink before running out.
TIME SKIP
"Shit! Where the hell is (Y/N)?!" Ace exclaims, fearfully standing away from the monster. The monster they all had always known and were in fear of. He has come.
"Malleus...why? Why would–" Silver merely croaks out, the ugly fresh wounds on his face making him paler than before.
No one but the other first years heard Ace's scream. They were too busy fighting off the horrible "thing"– anything to just stop the madness and make it normal again.
Please...please...please..please!
"STOP HIM! HE'LL HIT KALIM!" As if on cue, Lilia immediately swoops in and pulls the boy out of the way, succesfully evading the wrath of Malleus's attack.
"𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻." The voice booms through the entire area, trees almost bending over from the strong tone of the dragon fae's command. But nobody will ever listen. Not until he comes, they'll–
A flash of purple electricty circles behind the blot monster with a simple dash. Epel's eyes widen. "Is that...(Y/N)!??!"
Sighs of relief were heard, not until your body was severely hit by an attack of...Malleus..?..
Ace's eyes widen, seeing his own life flash by his eyes as the dear (Y/N) struggled to move around as freely as he could. Why were you so...weak? What happened?
Your eyes didn't glint anymore unlike how you always fight. Now it was different.
Strangely so different...why– why were you so slow? Why was blood pouring down from your mouth!? He gulps, unable to let anything come out of his mouth.
No..oh no..
A smile never came on your face. You looked so...dead..
Landing charged attacks after each other, it was enough to weaken the other but not enough for you.
"!" Stifling a cry of pain, a shock of thunder rushes through your veins and worsening your condition. No, you HAVE to keep going! You have to! Or else...you stop..
'(Y/N)?! Are you okay?' Of course not.
'Why are you bleeding so much!?!' Heh, beats me.
'WAIT NO–' ...Huh?..What–
SPLAT!
...
...
..O-Oh...
Riddle's eyes widen, unable to move.
..What the..
Leona grits his teeth, eyes watching you.
..So much red..
Azul chokes back a sob, seeing you fall.
...Is it r-really..
Jamil attempts to reach for you but..fails.
..Right now..
Vil shouts your name, but to no avail.
...At this moment..
Idia panics...fear enveloping him completely.
...My time..?..
Blood covering your eyes, stomach, body...it was everywhere. Nonetheless, you tear up, all over your clothes with no care.
"I.." You sob, emotions hurling at you so painfully. So it has to be like this..then so what?..Then i guess if this is how Malleus wants this to end...then so be it.
With a shake of your hands, you manage to make one last firm grasp on your bow. Beautiful drops of water...were appearing from the ground. It was so admirable. But no time now...
"..Brace yourself, this is gonna hurt!"
With the loudest voice you could muster, you throw all of the energy you could to deliver your final burst.
"(Y/N) NO!" But it was too late...
Riddle finally snaps out of his trance, running towards you first. No he couldn't..he can't accept this!
Running towards your body, he looks in pain with your deathly cold complexion. Eyes drained of all life, and simply nothing...
"Y-You seem to not be happy...to see me." You crack a small smile, attempting to stay calm in the moment of calamity. It wasn't fine...it really wasn't.
He gives you the most frustrated look he could manage. That was difficult to go through your head...why..wasn't he relieved?
"YOU'RE DYING! WHAT KIND OF IDIOT ARE YOU?! WHY WOULD YOU JUST SACRIFICE YOURSELF LIKE THIS? IT'S NOT FAIR, (Y/N)– it's..it's not fair..it's not fair!" He cries loudly, steel eyes brimming with hurls of tears..
You look down at your bloody body. Ah...right. That's what you did huh. You never knew you were capable of a heart again.
Footsteps run towards your beaten body, hands clasping yours ever so gently. Of course you knew that gloved hand anywhere..
So he's still a crybaby...little baby Azul..
You chuckle to yourself, but stop to cough blood out of your system. Leona cringes at the pool of blood...he..can't save you. What a bad time of events...
The delusion had long sucked out your life force, as you were struggling to talk or even move. But with a little hope left..
Tears strain the beautiful amethyst eyes above you. Vil.
"I love you."
In which were your final words, you could muster. You couldn't bare to leave them...but to die and feel the pain only for a little, seemed better than living on with life with pain forever.
The sunset slowly dies down, the crescent moon as pale and yet delicate as your face...as well as the smile of your fate.
All in that day, the life that was lost...was forever in vain.
...
...
...
2 YEARS LATER
Sitting ever so quietly at the bench outside of Heartslabyul, Ace gives a comforting sigh. He was a 3rd Year now. And would soon be graduating in a week.
Ace Trappola, Prefect of Heartslabyul Dorm.
'Tired..' He was fighting back a yawn, pulling up an all night last night to try and work hard at studying. He almost fell asleep.
Almost. "Oi! Orange, what are you still doing out here?" His friend calls and he gives a small smile.
Deuce Spade, Vice Dorm Leader of Heartslabyul.
"Nothing, just felt the need to take a breath." The ginger shrugs, with a nonchalant expression. He should probably get up now before facing the wrath of his vice friend huh...
Deuce huffs, crossing his arms. "Whatever." He mutters. Although looking well presentable, Ace surely didn't know how to iron his clothes so properly...gah..
"Hm?" His teal green eyes catch ahold of something in the other boy's pocket. "Hey, what's that bump?" He points out.
The other looks at Deuce with furrowed eyebrows, and looks down to take it out of his pocket. And the smile...leaves his face..
Deuce may as well just have noticed it as well. An emotionless face cascades over both of them, unable to know what else to say. "..." It's been so long..to both of them..
Silence erupts between both, attempting to find the correct timing to say what they had wanted.
"(Y/N).." Deuce starts, still looking up trying not to cry. "Do you think that he's watching us up there?" He questions quietly. Ace simply shrugs, eyes glinting in sorrow. "Yeah..i'm sure." He whispers, gripping the object as not to let it go.
Always and forever, you have never been forgotten. Continuing to live on in their minds..and their hearts.
The cold, grey vision that no longer glows for anyone, that is properly protected by the other ginger friend had promised. So as long as he has it, he will always feel the love you gave them...
To a life of happiness and sadness, anger and sorrow, peace and tranquility, it will always be as that saying goes..
"For those that live too long, the friends of days gone by and scenes from their adventures live on in their memories. As such I have no regrets in meeting you, friend. Should the day ever come that we are not together, you will continue to shine like gold in my memories."
(I'm sorry i had to do this~)

Hello~! Would you like to write about how Jack would deal with having a crush on reserved and keeping their feelings reader(but is still a very caring person)?
Jack crushes on a reserved reader
What gravitated Jack towards you? He could make an entire list about your looks, your skills. But what caught him was your bravery in the face of danger. You'd dive into it headfirst with the same half-lidded and cold expression you always wore.
Apathetic is what people would often call you. You're reserved and felt distant, maybe too much to their liking. But they didn't know the entire you. The caring and gentle you that was privy to a select few, the you that he admires.
Yeah, admire. Just admiration, nothing more nothing less.
Oh how wrong he was.
"Come on let's get you out of here." You said, helping Jack out from the rubble. "Grim and the others were already evacuated by Diasomnia." You checked Jack for any serious injuries. Nothing but a few scratches and bruises, he assured.
"Just a flesh wound, nothing much." He replied, dusting off some dirt and sand from his uniform. "How about you, you're bleeding." The sharp coppery scent of your wounds attacked his nostrils.
"It's nothing much." You insisted, warily looking around to see if a feral Leona would pounce out of the dust.
"GET BACK HERE!" A crazed snarl came from the dark sandstorm. "Take cover!" And in an instant the monstrous blot figure clawed the bleachers behind you, shattering them into a mess of sand and stone.
Jack was quick to evade, conjuring a quick barrier to shield you from Leona's fiery onslaught. "Regroup with Riddle!" You hollered, dashing through the stadium, the ends of your hair turning into sand the longer you were there.
"THAT'S IT, RUN AWAY. RUN AWAY!" The lion roared, the banshee-like screech of the monster behind him soon followed. Another blast came from him, hitting a pillar right beside you. You felt your throat go dry and your skin painfully blister and crack.
"MC!" Jack called, distracting the Savanaclaw housewarden with a blast of fire. It bought you some time to get back with Riddle and Cater.
"Riddle, can you use a flame blast on him? And Cater, hit him up with a void shot."
"Understood." "Roger!" Came their replies. He saw the determination and resolve in your eyes, and his heart skipped a beat at that sight.
"Ruggie, can you fight?" You asked, flinging whatever you can at Leona to keep him from exiting the stadium. "Yeah, I'm good." Ruggie replied, his less injured hand gripped his pen tightly.
"Alright, now's the time!" You commanded, finding an opening as Leona paused. In a heartbeat he was bombarded with their magics, red, blue and purple flashed in front of him.
Jack paused, admiring your figure. You were full of scratches and cracks, your clothes were tattered and dusty. But you stood proud, you offered the power-drunk Leona your piercing gaze. The hot air swept wisps of your hair, you looked impressive. You looked beautiful. Sevens you looked—
"Jack, get your head out of the clouds!" Ruggie yelled. "Huh? Oh yeah! Take this!" Jack howled, his pen glowing a bright lush color.
A rumble and a flash came from the cloudy skies. "W-what?" Fear painted itself on Leona's face, he couldn't do anything but stare at his impending defeat. He was too tired and injured to move any further. Lightning, it was lightning. Was Malleus here?
Pillars of sharp flora magic encaged him, the numbing sting pushed him further to the ground until. "King...king...I just...wanted to be king." And with that the dust settled, the leviathan of a monster behind him disappeared into nothing. The demure clouds cleared, making way for the earlier bright afternoon.
The next scene was the quiet of the infirmary. You lay silent, with a whining Grim on top of your stomach. You scratched the back of his ears. You noticed a familiar silver haired boy from your peripherals. "How are your injuries, Jack?" You inquired, smiling when you saw him with less scratches than from before.
Stop it he's going to melt.
"I should be asking you the same thing." He crossed his arms, earning a chuckle from you. "I'm feeling a lot better now, you should check on the others." You waved, smiling again.
Sevens, that smile. He never considered himself poetic but it looked like— no, it felt like the first flush of spring after the harsh cold of the winter. He wouldn't call it love, just a strong admiration for you. Yeah, only that.
"They're fine."
"Oh, that's good to hear. I was worried that I might've pushed you guys too far." That smile again, why does it feel so...so warm. It felt like his heart's about to jump off his chest at any moment. Those lips, he wonders what they'd feel like against his— What?
He's in love.

Helllooo—! I see that you're doing an event again! And bc I love your writing, can I ask for Kazuha + Sakura Bloom?? Thank you sm and have a great day/night! <3
[Sakura Bloom]: “I don’t want to imagine a future without you in it.”
Event Prompt List (CLOSED)
Event Masterlist
pairing: Kaedehara Kazuha x gn!reader
genre: hurt/comfort
cw: canonical character death mentioned, spoilers for Inazuma’s Archon Quest
Kazuha has only been reckless a few times in his life.
There was one time during his childhood when he tried to climb the tallest tree in the estate's courtyard, but all he got was a good crying session and a broken leg—which made him unable to go out and play for weeks.
There was also a time during his early teen years when he snuck a bottle or two of his father's favorite sake, and ended up sleeping face-down on the roof.
He liked to think they were simply miscalculations made in the heat of the moment by a mind yet to mature or experience the ebb and flow of the world, and that he is now wiser and more alert to the consequences of his actions.
But as Kazuha quickly learned, the believed behaviors of a mortal could never compare to the whims of the divine.
He understood the repercussions of stealing a Vision from under the nose of an Archon, but how could a rational mind win against the cacophony of emotions rushing through his veins—searingly hot as he watched his dear friend take his last breath in one glorious moment, now finding peace in the cradle of the earth.
So the stars moved to reflect his fate, the wind blowing him towards a path of endless wandering and evading those who wanted to chain him to a lifeless existence, all the while his hands became scarred by the flickering flames of a man's dying ambition.
It is a path strewn with unexpected twists and thorns, one riddled with storms and yet also with cloudless skies.
There have been times he had to make choices on the fly, but they've been done with the results in mind, and never at the cost of his life or those around him.
He had come too close to the sight of death, brushed his hands against its deliverance, and realized just how terribly fragile human life truly is.
He was sure he would never be so reckless again.
But that was until he saw that foreboding flash of purple permeating the air once more.
The strike only lasted for the breadth of a moment—perhaps the duration it took for a bolt of lightning to tear through the sky—but to Kazuha, time was warped until he couldn't recognize his surroundings anymore.
The lighter blonde hair of the Traveler became faded, overlapping with the sandier shade of his friend. Light and dark became intertwined, dusk one second and dawn the next; high noon with the sunlight bouncing from surfaces of blades; a dark mirage lit up by transient lightning.
In his last moment, what expression was on his face?
That was a question he didn't want to haunt him a second time.
The empty Vision pinned to his scarf burst to life, filling him with a crackling energy that was both foreign and familiar. And Kazuha did what he did best.
He ran.
To this day, he still didn't understand how he was able to withstand and counter the Musou no Hitotachi, the divine sword said to be able to split mountains and leave not even ash behind the wake of its destruction. All he remembered was the chill running down his spine when he heard the voice that he thought he would never hear again in his ears—a fragment of what was said during one of their many conversations.
“There will always be those who dare to brave the lightning’s glow.”
Something shifted into place, perhaps the stars in the sky or even simply Kazuha’s desperation in that one finite moment that aligned with an ambition that still sizzled like embers, just waiting for a spark to ignite it into flames.
But those flames were momentary, exploding and fizzling out as quick as fireworks. So he fainted amidst the worried cries of those around him.
When he wakes up, it is to a quiet room, the refreshing sensation and tiny iridescent bubbles floating outside the window letting him know that he was in Watatsumi. The cloth folded on his forehead has long since lost its coldness, and the blanket that was placed over him was done by a gentle hand. He doesn’t need his Vision to tell him that they are none other than your own.
As if the universe heard his thoughts, a second later he hears the shoji door slide open, and from the doorway he sees your silhouette as you lug inside a bucket of water. But when your eyes meet his, the bucket is quickly dropped, staining the tatami mats with water.
You’re like a statue frozen in time, eyes wide like a deer being spotted by a predator. He hears your breathing quicken, and something inside him unraveled at the sight of you.
“(Y/—” His mouth tried to form the syllables of your name, but all that comes out of his dry throat is a series of coughs.
"Kazuha!" You rush over to him, the concern apparent on your face as you help him sit up. "Here, drink this."
He drinks from the cup being brought to his lips like it’s an offering from the gods, the water bringing salvation to him.
Once he manages to swallow it down, he moves one of his muscles still working in his numb body and gives you a small smile of gratitude. In return, the look in your eyes are still laced with worry, but they’re also shadowed by a chaotic blend of more complicated emotions.
“(Y/N)...” He tries again, and this time your name left his lips in completion, but they were said with some trepidation.
“What in the name of Celestia were you thinking?”
Kazuha freezes at your question, the implication of what you want to understand is not lost on him. However, before he can answer, you have already continued.
“Did you know how worry I was? How worried we all were? What were you thinking going against the Shogun like that? You know what she’s capable of, you could’ve...” Your lips tremble, unable to form the next word in fear of the images that it brings. But he knows what word was left unsaid on your lips, he reads each letter as you swallow it down.
“And then–and then you fainted, and you were out for two days. Two whole days, Kazuha! Sangonomiya-sama couldn’t figure out what was wrong with you, and I just–I didn’t know what to do.” Your heart lurch into your throat as your stomach twist into itself, forming a knot that made it hard for you to think or breathe properly. The emotions from the days past come crashing down on you, all the endless worrying questions swirling in your mind as you watch him lay there, wondering if you’ll ever be able to see his eyes open again.
It is no less torturous for Kazuha to see you this away. Suddenly, he notices everything, from the dark circles set deep under your eyes to their redness, no doubt caused by sleepless nights and crying.
“How could you be so reckless?” Your shoulders are shaking while you struggle to adequately voice the thoughts that have been haunting you. “Did you not think about what would happen? Did you not think you would be harmed? Did you not think how that would affect us?” You hit his chest softly with every question, tears prickling at the corner of your eyes.
Did you not think of me?
Guilt overwhelm his mind, because he knew what his actions must have seem like to those that have witnessed it that day. A hasty folly by a mere mortal, blessed (or cursed) by the gaze of a god. A hubristic decision to go against a deity. A suicidal choice that could’ve cost him everything.
Because when Kazuha found himself face to face with the Almighty Narukami Ogosho and her power that had slayed mightier beasts than him, for a second he thought he was going to die.
And though his actions may suggest otherwise, Kaedehara Kazuha does not want to die.
Not when he still has so much to explore and people to meet. Not when he still has his friends. Not when he still has you.
He has seen how death, in all of its cruelty, affect not only the one claimed by its inevitable touch, but those around them as well.
“My dearest one,” his voice is soft as he finds the strength to touch your shoulder. “Surely you must’ve thought of me as a madman, rushing in like that with nothing but my blade by my side. I will confess that I too do not know my mind in that moment. I saw the Traveler standing in front of the Tenshukaku, surrounded by colors of the void...the past became present, and the last thing I want is for history to repeat itself.” He pauses to recollect himself. “I heard Tomo’s voice.”
As expected, the revelation shock you just as he was. He lets out a small sigh. “You’ve seen it too, how his Vision had lit up in my possession. It was only brief, but it was enough time for me to understand that my desires and his, though not entirely identical, were matching in certain ways. He was certain that there will always be someone willing to stand up in defiance.” He gently slides his hand from your shoulder down to your hand, turning it over so that he could intertwine his fingers with yours. “He had given me an opportunity to protect those around me, and I don’t regret in taking it.”
Kazuha isn’t surprised when you’re silent. After all, you have every right to be mad at him. What he doesn’t expect is for you to tackle him in a hug. Immediately, as if out of reflex, he wraps his arms around you, but he’s unable to see your face due to the fact that you’re hiding yourself in the crook of his neck.
“(Y/N)?”
“You nearly gave me a heart attack, Kazuha.” You whisper almost inaudibly, accompanied by soft sobs, but his ears have always been better than most.
“I’m sorry, my dove.”
“Please don’t do something like that again.”
“I’ll try my best to not be so reckless again.” Though that may not be the promise you wanted, Kazuha knows better than to offer you empty words made just to appease someone. “I assure you that I don’t plan to leave this world anytime soon. It will only happen when my bones are weary and my red streak of hair has gone all gray, and only when I’m in your arms.”
Your tears leave their trace on his skin, like dewdrops on verdant grass, but all you care about is the weight of his body in your arms—solid and warm, his heart beating against yours and you know that he’s here, he’s here, he’s here.
In turn, he hold you just as firmly, reassuring you that no forces, of earthly flesh or celestial ichor, could tear him away from you without a fight.
“You’re going to have to make it up to me,” you say weakly, the exhaustion finally catching up to you.
“My beloved (Y/N).” Kazuha wipes away the tears on your cheeks and places a kiss on the crown of your head. “It shall be something that I will happily devote my entire life to do.”

A small gift for @tagedeszorns with how the beloved nuisance that is Lucius got to be discovered for the third legion.
Panting the boy stood over the dismembered body of his foe, he could barely hear the cheering over the sound of blood rushing in his ears but he smiled. The thrill of a close fight was unmatched and this one had been close, for a moment at least.
Suddenly the cheering was overturned by furious hollering. Lucius' head snapped up, trying to calm his breathing and clearing his vision. The followers of the champion he had just unceremoniously taken apart, were enraged by the death of their leader. Pushing past the masses they begun making their way towards Lucuis, the guards who were trying to stop them were cut down brutally as at least a dozen men jumped into the arena.
Lucius straightend himself, his muscles burned after the day of fighting and especially after this last one, but as if he'd let them have at him without a proper fight.
He went through his hair as they surrounded him, a mocking smile on his face.
"You're challenging me!? I guess you liked the performance so much you just need to experience it firsthand do you?" he raised his rapier, the tremor that went through his exhausted arm was not notecible to the angry masses, but one had noticed, one who had watched him since his first fight today. The man, hidden in the shadows, gripped the handle of his sword, but neither drew it, nor stepped out the shadows yet, rather letting the scene unfold.
The Arena was in disorder, half of the audience crying out in shock and outrage while the other half cheered on the new entertainment.
Lucius dodged two crude blows without much difficulty, trying to get to a more advantageous position. His speed was his greatest strength, but it was deminishing rapidly and as unskilled the croons were, they noticed him slowing down too, getting more aggressive with their attacks. Lucius saw the blow aimed at his head coming, trying to evade, he knew it wouldn't be enough. Angrily he raised his sword, finishing the slice that would end his last victim.
He couldn't see the blow that severed the arm with the oncoming club, having it fly past Lucuis and smashing into another man. The struggle had become a massacre, Lucius and the others barley able to keep up with the flash of royal purple and gold which moved through the remaining men of the dead champion.
Now the adrenaline was kicking in again and Lucius struggled as he felt someone grab him, trying to stab the person that held him. The air escaped his lungs in a huff as he was dropped an unexpected long distance to the ground. He hid his shock and confusion behind a scowl as he scrambled off the ground, bringing some distance between him and the giant. He stood up straight, trying to make himself as big as possible as he took in the massive Warrior before him.
"Who are you?" he demanded having his rapier raised again, very well aware that if the giant wanted to hurt him he could not do anything to stop it, but that didn't mean he would not make it as hard as possible for the other.
As the expression on the giants transformed into an amsued grin and a chuckle excaped him, Lucius took a moment to look at his opponent properly. Of course he knew what the giant was, even the plebs would recognize an Astartes, a son of the Phoenix who in turn was the son of the Emperor, beloved by all.
Lucius had never greatly cared for politics or the art of war at large, he wanted to fight and he wanted to be the best at it. But still, he had never seen one in the flesh, they were more imposing than he had imagined.
"Sergeant Saradar Tyrion and... put that stick down Lucius," Lucius' eyes were drawn back to the slim, surprisingly handsome face for an appearently seasoned Warrior, to which the decorations on his armour and the scar on his right cheek gave testament to. Eyes with a purple hue looked down at him and Lucius huffed. He felt insulted, for both the comment and that the Astartes had gotten him out of the prickly situation. Still, he lowered his rapier, his muscles thanking him for it and he couldn't help but feel honored that the other knew his name.
"I could have managed those few untrained goons. But your assistance is appreciated nonetheless," Lucuis took some time to inspect himself for any wounds, only a few bruises, but he could taste blood, a tear on the inside of his lip, but on the outside there was nothing. Perhaps a scar would remain, but only on the inside, it would not be visible to others and only he would know it was there. That fact calmed him and the fact that there was no other injury made his chest bloom with pride which was quickly diminished by the still amused Astartes who looked at him with an unsettling but, to Lucius, familiar look. A sharply evaluating one.
"Of course, you could have,"
Lucius wrinkled his nose at the expecting silence that followed, the Astartes was expecting him to make the next move, one that would most probably determine the rest of his life.
This was just another kind of fight, another duel, another dance. He shifted his weight, adjusting his ruffled clothes and stared into those somewhat abnormal eyes. The exhaustion of the day was past him now and Lucuis knew what he wanted.
What he had wanted since the first time he saw two people in a duel, what he had done since he was a little boy who beat his first opponent. He wanted to become better, fight better, all techniques the old sword masters could teach him on Chemos, he had mastered already. But just earlier, when he had been barley able to even see the strokes that the Astartes had made, he saw something near perfection and he wanted that, but better.
"So tell me then, where did you learn to fight like that?" he asked as he raised his eyebrows, smiling inwardly the other let out a chuckle in a mix of disbelief and amusement of the audacity and guts this boy had. Though he stilled a moment later, two armored fingers going to his ear as he seemed to listen to something, before he turned and started walking away. Thrown off, Lucuis made a step to follow him before he stopped. Had he failed in some way? No, impossible! So he called out,
"You didn't answer my question!" The Sergeant glanced over his shoulder,
"And you won't receive one if you keep standing there,"
Lucius jogged after him with a huff, were all the Astartes so infuriating? But he knew, as the sounds of the city and the arena became distant that he was destined for greater things, he would learn and train, he would become the best and one day surpass the Sergeant.
One day, all the Imperium, no, all of the galaxy and beyond would know his name.

A little gift for @themissakat and their marvelous Fungus AU. Enjoy it!
TW: blood, injury, graphic violence
A clang between blades echoed in the cavernous walls, sparks of metal against metal were reflected on the little puddles of water, and agitated steps halted as the back of a tired, blonde girl touched one of the walls.
"You know I didn't think you'd be happy to see me after what happened at the tower... But I didn't think you'd try to kill me..." Sasha smiled but her heart was filled with uneasiness, her muscles were sore and sweat bathed her face. Anne, on the contrary, kept holding her sword steadily with an impassiveness so unnatural for her, not a sign of exhaustion.
'Go to the dungeons in the night' Sasha had said to herself. 'What's the worse that could happen?' She had said to herself. A lot of bad things could happen, quite a lot and none of them made sense. She'd found Anne but what she received was the blade of a sword going straight at her throat that she had to stop and her best friend fighting her without a reason.
At first, she thought it was because of their duel at Toad Tower and Anne might still be holding a grudge against her but something felt off. There was no yelling, no glares, insults, or accusations but a ruthless series of sword slashes.
Anne would never do that. She would never attack or be mad without a good explanation. Regardless, now that Sasha could pay attention to her appearance, she noticed many glaring details that didn't fit with Anne. The yet black armor with a red-orange eye that seemed to see right through her, and most importantly the neon purple color overtaking the Thai girl's eyes and many of the veins in the back of her throat.
She must be dreaming. She was dreaming, wasn't she? Because, since when Anne's eyes had changed color and decided to wear that armor? Did someone set her a trap and transform her into a weird version of the Winter Soldier?
In hindsight, she should've left those questions for later and not blink because one moment Anne was some meters away from her, and the next one, her sword was swung from down to up to cut her head in half.
Fortunately for her, Sasha could move her heron sword in time to prevent a gruesome death. What she couldn't prevent though was the right half of her vision going crimson.
Pain reverberated on her skull, on her right cheek, on all over her body. Her right hand touched the injury bathing the palm in blood, the slash was over her cheek scar, her eye, and ended almost at the center of her forehead, and it was an iron-stenching waterfall. If she didn't stop it in time, she would collapse and it would be over for her.
Anne's onslaught continued as the point of her sword went for Sasha's chest. She evaded it as best as she could; however, the movement made her dizzy as more blood tainted the rocky floor of the dungeons.
Having no choice, she took off her hand from her injured eye to hold better her sword. Anne launched at her again, an up-to-down swing against the throat, a right-to-left diagonal move to gut her, a left-to-right diagonal to open her chest, horizontal, vertical, diagonal, nonstop.
And each strike was stronger than the former one.
Sasha's stamina was depleting. It wouldn't take long for Anne to disarm her and deliver the fatal blow. She had 2 options: defeat Anne, get her out of whatever trance had her under its control, or run away and ask for help. But who? She didn't know this would happen. Grime was in the shadows as much as her about this issue. Marcy... Hell, where the fuck was Marcy? Was she turned into a Winter Soldier too?
What about Anne's dumb frog family? They were always with her, where could they be right now? But could she trust them? Would they believe in her story?
The point of Anne's sword barely touched her neck as Sasha jumped backward.
Oh, screw it! Let's go find those stupid frogs!
She tackled her friend and pinned her to the floor. Now the next step: knocking Anne out, but how? That armor looked more resilient and modern than hers.
The Thai girl didn't give her time to formulate a plan as she headbutted Sasha on the nose. The blonde groaned in pain; she could already feel the bump on it, some of the bones cracked and the blood flowing like water from an open spout.
Her dizziness, worsened by the headbutt, got in the way of seeing the sword advancing at her chest again but her instincts moved her fast enough to evade it; however, her left shoulder wasn't so lucky for the blade slashed through her clothes. It wasn't a deep wound but the blood loss from the other two injuries was taking a toll on her.
Desperate, she threw caution away and tackled Anne to clash her back against the wall hard enough to leave her unconscious which ended up being a terrible idea as the other teenager grabbed her ponytail with her right hand and lifted the sword with the other to behead her.
It was a vice grip, no way could she get out of this; nonetheless, the terror coursing through her veins was intense enough for Sasha to duck the swing at the last second.
Every strand of hair strapped by the scrunchie was cut, leaving Sasha with a messy haircut.
Not wasting any second, she elbowed Anne and the girl fell to the floor, then she kicked her sword and ran away.
"I'm coming back for you and Marcy, Anne! I swear!" She yelled as dread, adrenaline, and regret swiveled in her mind.
------------
Surprise felt like an understatement when Heart came back with her bloodied armor and sword and a crudely cut ponytail.
They never expected Strength looking for the other stars not even fighting Heart inside the dungeons, after all, there were wanted posters of her so going to the place that wanted her head sounded ludicrous.
Whatever. The Core couldn't care less about that. What they were concerned more about was the fact that Heart was unable to kill the other star and came back just with a dirty ponytail as a trophy.
Perhaps it'd have been better to use Strength to get rid of Heart because the other one was useless.
Suddenly, their hands started shaking, from slight tremors to uncontrollable spasms, and two new waterfalls flowed from their eyes.
Lovely. Just what they needed.
"Wit, would it kill you to stop this childish behavior of yours for 5 MINUTES?!"

Hi! Can I please request a love at first meet part 3 🙏 I just loved it so much! Thank you 💖
ohhhh~ A fan of Love at first meet!! aha! I'm so happy!! UWU
Thank you for loving it Anony!! MUA MUA MUA :**
PART 1 | PART 2
William Vangeance x f! reader
The hands on the clock seemed to drag towards 12 as you sat on your couch with your nerves on the edge.
Every 10 minutes you’d get up and take a “last look” at yourself in the mirror, wondering if your outfit was okay.
Well you had already changed into your third outfit, the first one seemed “too much” for a first date and the second was a little “too short”
You decided on a brown medi-dress instead, semi casual yet not too overwhelming.
In truth, William had already arrived at 1130am. He was worried that you would think that he’s too eager or it might stress you if you were doing your preparations so he took a stroll around the area instead.
He checked the time constantly, but the hands on his pocket watch seemed to inch forward ever so slowly.
At noon, a soft knock was heard on your door. Your heart raced as you checked your mirror one last time. You tucked a stray hair behind your ears as you went up to open the door.
“Hi.” You both said simultaneously and smiled.
He looked so good in casual clothes.
“Y/n..” he said in a soft cautious tone, “do you mind… if I remove my mask for our date?”
Your eyes widened as your heart started racing, “y-yes yes! Please do!” You managed to blurt out.
He closed his eyes and slowly pulled his mask over his head, revealing his petite face and his fine milky hair.
There were scars on his forehead but he did not look strange at all. In fact, he looked really handsome. His sharp chin and tall nose, coupled with his plush and soft lips that held a small and shy smile. A tint of blush was on his cheeks and his purple orbs, now no longer held by the frames of the mask, was more cordial than before.
You didn't realise that you were staring with your lips agape until William shuffled at your door step awkwardly, "I'm sorry if I scared you,"
"NO!" you almost shouted as your startled William, "I mean, you look really great. I mean it. You don't have to wear a mask."
You could see William's shoulders relaxed at your words, you giggled a little at how flustered you were. He thought you looked really cute. "Shall we go then? Are you ready?"
William brought you to a lovely and quiet cafe near the boarders of the common realm for lunch. It wasn't crowded and you managed to get a corner window seat.
"So, we've chatted for awhile now, but you haven't told me what you do, Mr William." you smiled, as you looked at him under your luscious lashes.
William simply couldn't take his eyes off you the entire time, from the time you both were chatting about Mizu on the way over, till now, he simply thought that everything about you was beautiful.
"I- er. I actually for in the capital, at the wizard king's office, something like an assistant there." he lied.
"Oh wow!" your eyes sparkled, "tell me more about the king and what you do then! Must be an interesting job~"
"Well, the wizard king is a really nice man, except that he runs away in search of magic items too often," he laughed, "it makes his secretary really mad."
"Your job sounds really interesting, William!"
"It is actually quite mundane, lots of paper work to do," he described his own job, "but enough about work. Do you have any other hobbies?"
And just that that, William evaded the topic of his job. The both of you spent the rest of the afternoon just chatting and getting to know one another personally.
You both had so much in common and so many topics to talk about, you ended up walking aimlessly around the boarders of the common realm just to chit chat.
The more you talked, the more William was intrigued by you. Your fruity laugh and cute giggles, the way your brows furrowed when you were listening to his stories. He was falling for you as the minutes passed.
In contrast to earlier this morning where the time was painfully slow, when he was with you, time seemed to whiz by in a blur.
"Thank you for sending me home again, I had a really great time William!" You stood at your door, "Let's do this again another day."
His heart beat faster at your words, "it would be my honour."
He gently took one hand of yours and bowed down, pressing a gentle kiss to the back of your hand.
Your heart almost melted at this gentleman's touch. Although you have only met for barely a week, you felt like he was so familiar. The way you were both so comfortable with each other, and shared so many similar interest and ideas.
You felt reluctant for the day to be over. You didn't want him to go, you hope that time would stay still at the current moment.
It was as though William saw the conflict in your eyes; he reached out to gently pat your head, "I'll come by your shop next week, okay?"
His tender smile was like a promise, a promise that you'll definitely see each other again. "Okay, I'll be waiting."
-end-
AHA! There could be room for a part 4 right here. hehe~ Thank you for requesting once again!

TOGETHER FOREVER // Asra x Reader
ASRA + A NON-BINARY MC
WORD COUNT: 2541
GENRE: Fluff
Water.
Flowing water, molded into ballerinas, swaying to the slow, dreamy rhythm of a harp, by a skilled magician, surrounded me as I stood in the middle of a vast, colorful oasis. It took me a while before I realized that I was in Asra's gate. How did I end up being there?
The plants sprung to life, engulfing me, filling my vision with a dancing of warm colors that reminded me of him as I closed my eyes. I could feel the phantom of warmth embrace me, and when I opened my eyes, I was greeted with those deep and sincere purple eyes of his.
The world seemed to have slowed down, every action taking some time as if it was to savor the moment. I found myself loosely wrapping my arms around his neck as he caressed my other cheek, and I leaned to the feeling.
I could see Asra's magnificent aura combining with mine, making a beacon of blinding light that went up to the sky.
His tender touch never fails to send me flying over to the moon, both our magic combined as if speaking to one another, my heart reacting to his own.
He pressed his forehead against mine, a blush creeping up his face.
"I love you."
-
With that, I had unfortunately awoken. I yawned, rubbing the sleep from my eyes, soon realizing that Asra was not beside me anymore. The smell of my favorite soup wafted out from the kitchen to the bedroom, causing me to blearily walk towards it. The sleepiness soon ebbed my system once the smell got stronger. Asra wasn't aware that I already woke up, so I sneakily went on to hug him from behind, earning an adorable gasp from him and making me chuckle.
"[MC]? You're awake. Did you have a good sleep?"
I nuzzled his fluffy hair. "Mhm I suppose. I had a really good dream."
"Oh? Why don't you tell me about it."
"We were in your gate. But it didn't look like before.. it was more magical that time. Well, just us doing some romantic things.. Involving magic too!"
Asra let out a chuckle, "Why don't we make it real then?" He turned around, giving me that playful look of his. I grinned. "Ooh, I love the sound of that."
Soon, I found myself being fed by him as we ate our breakfast. Faust kept on squeezing us alternatively. She seemed excited about something.
"[MC], what do you say we go out for a trip today?" Asra asked, wiping off some remaining soup droplets on my chin which I hadn't noticed.
"Where will we go?"
"I thought about bringing you to the magical realms, but then I thought of something better." He casted a wistful look on me. "Let's forget about the realms for the mean time. Let's just explore the city. What do you think?"
"You know I'm up for it! But you'll have to let me take a bath first!" I chuckled.
"Take your time. I won't mind." He playfully winked at me as I headed towards the bathroom.
Some time later, we arrived at the city market. Vesuvians were partially rowdy and quiet. Though some even came stumbling near the two of us, but it was alright. Asra held my hand tightly as I saw him grinning at something— or someone. The market seemed a bit more playful today. Maybe that's why he decided to take me here? The fun in the atmosphere was tangible, especially when I heard the strumming of guitars— and the next moment, all I knew was that Asra and I were dancing in the middle of the street, accompanied by some other couples until the beat had stopped.
It was fun while it lasted. It's as if my body had a mind of its own when I let myself dance to the rhythm. I didn't care about anything else other than the joyous music. I knew what felt right, and it felt right to let myself sway to the rhythm with Asra. Abstract magic bubbled around the two of us. How I love feeling that way.
However, right after the dancing session, the world suddenly dissipated into nothingmess. I was left all alone in a dark, fathomless land where no one seemed to hear me. No Asra... no Faust. I tried to connect to them using my magic, but something was intercepting it. No no, I didn't feel something ominous despite the situation. So what, exactly, was stopping me? I called out to my magic once more, and there I felt a recognizable aura somewhere. Asra's. He was nearby, I could tell, but it's as if he was hiding behind a veil which I didn't know where to find. I was in distress, but then something dawned me.
Asra must've been playing tricks with me. I should've known from the beginning. Ugh, I am so going to get that rascal! I let my magic surround me, and then I was back at the market— but I was alone. If he was pulling a prank on me, I'd give him credits for the effort of making the crowd disappear too. I clicked my tongue but later on grinned. What kind of prank was it? I got a little excited to know what to see at the end of the tunnel.
"Asraaaaaa!"
I called out for the nth time. I was aimlessly walking that I didn't realize I already bumped to a hulking figure. The smell of Myrrh...
"Muriel! Have you seen my sneaky magician?"
He looked away as soon as I met his eyes. He didn't reply. He just walked away. I followed him with my eyes but then he stopped his tracks, reluctantly beckoning me to join him. And I did. And I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing. Asra really did execute a massive prank for me because the whole Vesuvia seemed empty of people. I was beginning to get confused when I still didn't see anyone, but when we turned to a corner, leading to which I presume is the docks, an enthralling scenery surprised me.
My fellow Vesuvians were scattered on the side. The middle was empty and I supposed I would be walking there, and I was right. I let out a confused noise when they suddenly started singing all together. Their voices were harmonious that it somehow made my heart feel lighter than it already was. I could spot a few familiar faces.
Selasi, our favorite baker, then came up to me, handing me something. I was surprised that it wasn't bread but a bouquet of my favorite flowers. I thanked him, but before I could ask furthermore, he hastily ran back to the crowd.
"Muriel, what's going on?"
What did I expect? He didn't even turn around. I guessed I wouldn't be having any answers until I see the mastermind behind all of this.
I spotted Aisha and Salim in the crowd. They gave me a meaningful smile, a sly look on their faces. I smiled back and proceeded to walk down the center even if I had no idea what was happening. Their attentions were all on me. It made me feel overwhelmed, as if I was the star of Vesuvia. And jeez, was the Countess and all the other courtiers somewhere in the crowd?
Speaking of, I soon found Nadia standing in a corner. Her elegant figure stood out the most. I was taken aback when she walked to me, and I received a bouquet of flowers once again. She gave me a playful look and then weaved herself through the crowd. I soon spotted Portia, and she did the same thing to me, winking afterwards.
And by the time I had reached Julian standing in the middle of the docks, my arms were already full of bouquets, but he gave a blind eye to that and proceeded to put another bouquet on top of the rest that I could barely see what's in front of me. And as I expected, the strain in my arms made the bouquets fall to the ground. I regretfully looked at them. But just as I was about to pick them up, Julian intercepted, swaying his long, lanky arms that almost hit my face.
"Whoops! No no no no. We can't have our main star doing the work here, can we?"
He flashed a shameless grin and started picking up the bouquets. I didn't argue and instead chuckled. Then as I lifted my gaze, I finally saw Asra, standing at the edge and giving me a look as if to tell "I'm expecting you."
He smiled at me as I ran into him, completely forgetting the fact that he's at the edge. One slight move and he would fall into the water. But something unusual happened. 'Asra' bursted into fizzy bubbles and tiny butterflies that soon engulfed me, making me giggle. And once they gave way, I was greeted by a bunch of tiny ballerinas which emerged from the water. They were careful not to get too close and drench my clothes. My smile grew even wider as I recalled my dream. There were also dancing ballerinas surrounding me, but bigger. Asra must had taken note of that to pull the trick off.
I pivoted, seeing 'Asra' give me another bouquet of flowers. But they were much larger than the ones my friends had given to me. The other half was drenched though since it was given to me by the water in which Asra shaped himself to.
"[MC]." I heard a boisterous call, making me turn around for the nth time, and that time I finally saw the real Asra. Solid and radiating an immense aura of magic. Joyous but somehow perplexed. I threw myself at him, and we bursted into giggles.
"My, my.. You really know how to pull a trick off your sleeves. Is this really the real you, or are you just another one of his illusions?"
"I'm the real one you know," His airy voice tickled my ears. There was a playful tone in his voice. "Want me to prove it?"
"N-Not in front of everyone!" I flushed but eventually cleared my throat. "Uhm, mind explaining yourself? Please tell me what's gotten into your mind to do this."
He only gave me a smug look, but later on evaded my gaze as a blush crept on his face. The crowd had already stopped singing. They were silent and watching us as if expecting something huge to happen. I looked at my friends, who were only giving me playful looks. I frowned, but then it hit me.
Or I might just be assuming things. It was just a massive prank, right? Asra didn't do it because of...
"[MC]."
"Yeees?"
"I.. You know how much I care for you.. Right?"
I heard someone in the crowd squeal.
"Yes. You told me about it when.. when we were at the fountain... during the most recent masquerade." I blushed as I reminisced the scene. It made my heart flutter when he told me that he loves me. It filled me with joy. We've been through a lot...
"We've been through a lot of adventures ever since we defeated the Devil. And I treasure the memories that we keep on making... I find it better to go on adventures with you by my side rather than going alone," He looked at me and smiled. It was my turn to look away due to our faces' proximity. "You showed me a different perspective of the world, [MC], and I can't imagine living a life without you anymore. I feel like as long as we're together, we'll be able to overcome anything."
My heart erratically beated as he said those words. A mixture of Aww's and other complements came from the crowd, but Asra didn't seem to mind. He was staring at me. And only at me.
"I love you, [MC]. And I'll keep on loving you.." He widened the distance between us a little, kneeling down and as if searching for something in his pocket. I didn't know how red my face was at the time. I felt like exploding.
He really was doing it.
He was proposing to me.
Asra stopped his search and shyly looked around, but he was somehow distressed.
"Now where did I put it...." He looked down, facepalming. "Faust, where are you? I told you not to play with it."
At the mention of her name, Faust slithered towards him, something shiny in her mouth. Asra chuckled and scolded her as she took refuge in his sleeve. Then, he averted his gaze back to me, his eyes gleaming with hope and love.
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you, [MC]. And I hope you do too... Will you marry me?"
He showed me the ring that flashed the colors of the rainbow before my very eyes. Milliseconds after he said that the crowd started cheering and squealing, and I didn't even utter my answer yet, and I couldn't due to all the noise. Portia took care of it though.
"HEY! Did we actually hear what [MC] said? QUIET!" And the noise dissipated.
The more I looked at Asra, the more I realized how nervous he actually was. Even with a brave facade, I could still see through him. We were blushing so bad as he waited for my answer. But I felt like I couldn't speak at the time. I was overwhelmed with euphoria that I couldn't bring myself to utter a single word or even move. It took me a few seconds to calm myself, responding to his question with a smile.
"D-Do you even have to ask?"
"Is that a yes?"
"Of course it is! Yes! I'll marry you!"
Asra stood up with a wide, genuine smile as he put the ring on my finger. It was filled with an intricate design, the pattern carved meticulously. I was so amazed at how detailed it was. I looked at it with awe. I couldn't believe what was hapenning. I might've swooned.
"Good. I was beginning to think you wouldn't.."
"Why wouldn't I?"
"I don't know." Asra laughed, pulling me into a kiss. His magic surged into me and when he pulled away, he immediately took me in his embrace. The crowd started cheering once again that I could barely hear myself over it.
"Did you make the ring?"
"Yes. Did you like it?"
"Like it? I love it!" I flushed against his chest.
"The ring only?"
"Psh, of course you too! I love you, Asra!"
He chuckled and intertwined our fingers. I blushed even more. If I could explode, I already would've.
"I love you too. I loved you ever since."
"Asra! Stop making me blush.."
"But I was just stating facts! Right Faust?"
"Right!"
He really couldn't fail to make me blush, to create butterflies and grow flowers inside me, and to make my heart feel light and filled with pure bliss.
We were engaged, and I couldn't wait to see what the future stores for us.
The future that includes him and I, completely contented with each other's presence.

Reminiscence
Word count: 1.8k
Bingo slot: Fireflies
Pairings: None (Sibling bonding! Touya x Reader)
Tags/Warnings: Fluff, slight angst, slight mention of injuries.
Synopsis: Touya takes his little sister on an adventure to see the "fairies".
This is my first entry for @bnhabookclub's bingo event! Special thanks to @pixxiesdust, @honeytama and @samanthaa-leanne for beta reading this for me!
There are things Touya dislikes in the world. But if there's something he absolutely despises with a strength nearly as powerful as his flames, is when his father's actions end up hurting someone in his family.
Like right now, for example, as he holds his crying sister in his arms. Poor little Y/N can't seem to stop weeping after the constant mistreatment of their father. The man's harsh attitude eventually took a toll on the little girl. All because she turned out to be quirkless, or as he deems her, "Just another failure".
Touya's glaring at nothing in particular as he thinks about the old man. His self-restraint is challenged when he has to hold back the anger to evade lashing out at the man they have the misfortune of calling "father."
But right now, his main focus is calming down the little girl, crying in his arms while he's sitting on his futon at the same time he tries to console her.
"Shhh, It's okay y/n."
He may not admit it, but out of all his siblings, she has to be his favorite sister. After all, she's the only one out of their brothers and sister who shares the most traits with him.
Growing up, Touya came to despise his appearance. Every time he looked at his reflection in the mirror, the sight of that crimson hair and those teal colored eyes always made him feel alienated from Natsuo and Fuyumi.
After all, they only had some slight streaks of red hair, unlike Touya, who's whole head sported the same red locks of hair as him.
So, when his mother gave birth to a healthy pair of twins, and he saw the little boy who's left side of his head had the same hair color as him, as well as the little girl, who's hair was completely engulfed in the same shade of red as him. Touya almost wanted to cry in the spot, and that loneliness in his heart stopped soon after that.
He actually cried, but if you ask him, he'll always say otherwise.
His eyes wander around his room in search of a distraction, and something catches Touya's attention. The calendar at the top of his desk, with the current date circled down in a fine line of bright red marker. It gives the teenager a great idea, one, that would most likely calm down his little sister instantly.
"Hey, Y/N." She sniffs weakly, wiping away the teardrops rolling down her face with her tiny hand, before looking up at her big brother. "Did you know that there's a place nearby, where you can see fairies?"
As soon as he mentions the magical creatures, her eyes instantly light up, wide open in wonder as she looks at him with pure innocence in her eyes.
"Really?" she asks her brother, who smiles in relief upon seeing her reaction. Touya nods eagerly, playing along to distract her from the past events.
"Yes! But they only appear if you're a strong person! Are you strong, y/n?" He pokes her in the nose with his index finger, and she can't help closing her eyes in surprise. Squeals erupt from her throat by her brother's antics, and he struggles to fight back a chuckle.
"I am strong!" she shouts, still rubbing the small tears away from her puffy face.
"Strong enough to stop crying?" he asks her with vigor, and his attempts to cheer her up work when she sniffles one more time, before nodding at him with a fierce pout, the sight nearly makes Touya clutch his heart, amused by the little rascal pretending to be brave.
"Yeah!"
"Good! Then go get ready, 'cause I'm taking you to see the fairies!"
She gasps loudly, nodding rapidly at her brother before dashing out of his room with hurried steps, and once the sound of her footsteps disappear in the distance, Touya lets out a relieved sigh, before bursting into a wholehearted laugh at her enthusiasm.
He stands up from his futon in a hurry, and begins preparing everything he'll need for their small trip.
......
"Are we there yet?"
In one hand, Touya holds on to his sister's tiny hand as they walk together. In the other hand, he's holding the strap of a messenger bag hanging over his shoulder, careful not to graze the bandages wrapped all the way up from the wrist to the shoulder.
"Patience y/n, we're almost there."
The sunset fills the surroundings in gorgeous hues of pinks and purples, and if it wasn't for his current motivation, Touya would have stopped in the middle of the bridge to stare at the bright, glimmering reflection in the water for hours.
"Give me a minute, y/n." Rummaging through his bag, Touya pulls out a camera. He starts taking pictures of the sunset reflecting in the water below the bridge, capturing the aesthetically pleasing scenario before him. He takes a look at the final result, and after humming in approval, he puts the camera back into his bag, before taking his sister’s hand to continue walking.
The closer they get to their destination, the sky begins to change colors again, until nothing but blue shades fill the sky.
"Here we are!" Touya stopped in front of a small, empty playground, and y/n quickly began looking around, waiting for the "fairies" to come out any moment now. This time, her brother couldn't hold back his laughter.
"This is only the gateway, come on. The fairies are waiting."
At the other side of the playground, there's a small trail leading into a forest. Touya takes her sister along with him along the rows of trees, and the deeper they go, the darker it seems to get around them.
Until Touya finds the place he was looking for, a small lake deep inside the forest, surrounded by bushes and lilies all around it.
"Isn't it pretty y/n?" he asks his little sister, who won't stop looking at her surroundings, admiring the scenario before her. Right as she's about to question her brother, the teenager crouches down in front of her, and points at a spot in front of them.
That's when she sees the small dots of light start to appear all around the forest, illuminating everything around them with their gentle light.
"Look, the fairies are here!"
But the little girl becomes awfully quiet, and for a minute Touya begins to worry. Until she turns to look at him with the most awestruck look he's ever seen on her tiny face, and starts pointing at the shining creatures flying cheerfully all around them.
"F-Fairies are real! Touya, they're real!"
She's already running off to look at a spot in the grass, where these fairies seem to be having a good time.
While y/n is distracted by the fairies, Touya sits down on the grass, watching the lake's surface where the lights seem to dance happily.
"Touya look!" She quickly approaches her brother, and in her tiny hands, there's a small light in her palm, without a single worry in their miniature soul.
"I guess the fairies like you. Do you know what that means?"
She tilts her head in curiosity, before shaking it softly.
"It means you're one of them now!" Touya yells excitedly, and that brings a bright smile to the face of the little girl standing in front of him.
"I'm a fairy?!" She bounces on her spot, careful not to hurt her little friend resting in the palms of her hands.
"Even better than a fairy." He ruffles her hair reassuringly, turning her hair into a wild mess of red locks. "You're a firefly!"
"Firefly?" She looks back at the little bug, sitting nonchalantly in its place, before looking back at her brother, smiling at him one more time. "I'm a firefly!"
She happily runs back to the bushes, where she releases her friend back in place. More lights begin surrounding the lake. And Touya smiles at the child's antics before he starts looking through his bag again, and pulls out his camera before taking pictures all over the place.
y/n is too distracted by another handful of fireflies, to notice her brother taking a picture of her. As he looks at the final result, the small screen displays the current hour, and Touya can't help wincing once he realizes they've been in the lake for a longer time than he thought.
A small, contagious yawn catches his attention, and he watches as y/n it's starting to doze off.
"Come on firefly, it's time to go back home." Touya puts the camera back in his bag, before helping his sister crawl on his back. Her tired eyes look back at the lake, and the small dots of light still dancing around eagerly.
"Hey, Touya?" She's struggling to fight back her drowsiness, and manages to ask her brother a question before her eyes begin to close, and she slowly falls asleep on his shoulder.
"Yeah?"
"Can we...Can we bring Shouto along next time?"
Touya can't help but grimace, knowing that with their father around, it would be impossible to take their little brother along, but he doesn't have the courage to tell y/n the truth, and with a deep breath, he answers.
"...Of course we can."
As Touya passes by the same bridge from before, he can feel his sister's body go limp on his back, sleep overtaking her tiny body. But even with the slight pain coursing through his bandaged arm, he can't bring himself to move her from the place. At least, not until they're finally back home.
The house is dead silent once he comes inside, and with a careful pace, he takes y/n to her room. Tucking her into the futon before walking back to his own room, where he pulls the camera out of his bag and on top of a shelf, and lets himself faceplant on his own bed with a slight bounce.
..........
"Come on Shouto, this way!" Shouto tries to keep up with his sister, but she just keeps walking with an excited spring on her step as she guides him through the forest, eager to take him to this place she's been talking about for weeks now.
"Are you sure we should be out here this late?" He can't help being amused by her enthusiasm. This is the first time he's seen her this excited after they started spending more time with each other.
"It's fine, trust me!" She stops in her steps before turning to both sides of the forest, and with a triumphant "aha!" she starts walking to the right side of the forest.
"I used to come here with Touya, and I've always wanted to show you this place! You're going to love it, trust me!"

Could you do something for Abe Sapien with a s/o where they spend an entire day just exploring a beach, tide pools, reefs etc and trade facts, info, stuff like that. Maybe something similar with Asa "That Man Has All The Cake" Emory? Just a total geek fest over how awesome nature is? I have no one to do that with irl ☹️ (I couldn't find your character list so ignore this if ya don't write for Abe anymore)
oh?? wholesome?? somft??
god this man needs some downtime So Much
he loves his work at the B.P.R.D. but the world has almost ended twice in the past three years, let him take a nice stroll and not worry about interdimensional gremlin tax evaders or whatever the fuck
you’re more likely to go out on a beach date on a day that’s more overcast or even just straight up stormy - that way you’re less likely to run into any normies who might gawk at him
he feels guilty that the two of you can’t enjoy a nice, sunny day, but you reassure him that any weather as fine as long as you have each other (and he finds your cold-weather gear extremely cute)
it’s really very chill and leisurely; the two of you meandering hand-in-hand across the beach discussing poetry and work until you stumble across some particularly interesting shell or tidal creature and spend the next few minutes chattering about it
you always end up with a heavy bag of shells and sea glass to take home, courtesy of Abe’s sharp eyes
Abe likes to hold your hand on principle, of course, but your emotions come through so clearly when your skin’s on his: the quiet, content feeling as you let the waves lap up to your ankles, the excited little thrill when you spot a hermit crab scurrying along the beach, the warm adoration that fills you when you look at him
that last one always flusters him, skin flushing muddy purple, and he makes a point to send the echo of his own feelings back to you
when it's warm and clear enough, he'll lead you off the beach to show you the underwater world: kelp forests undulating in the tide, the burrows where crustaceans and eels make their homes, tiny hidden grottos. he's more relaxed and open in the water, more willing to tease and let his hands wander (and if there’s a convenient ledge for you to cling to, he might be bold enough to hook your legs over his shoulders and work you into a frenzy with his clever mouth - the perks of having gills)
once you're tired out, it's time to spread out on the sand (or in the roomy back of one of the BAU's vehicles) and enjoy some light food, good wine, and a bit of poetry 🥂
strong chance that this will become a double date if Hellboy finds out your plans. they stick to the tidepools so that you and Abe can have a romantic swim. Hellboy wears a Hawaiian shirt. if you ask nicely Liz will use her powers to roast marshmallows. friendship!!
more likely to be an actual research trip than a relaxing jaunt
Asa’s not really used to people not being at least a lil skeeved out by his work or being in a relationship with someone, so when you eagerly agree to help him collect some rare specimens he’s initially like What Do You Want From Me
he agrees mostly because he knows that if you do try something he'll be able to dispose of you quickly and quietly, but deep (very deep) down, he's actually somewhat flattered that you've taken an interest in his work
his internal monologue vacillates between 🔪🔪🔪 and 🥺🥺🥺
in this house we love Asa but we also recognize that he is a Punk Bitch, so he definitely tries to make you jump for his own amusement - pulling shit like directing you to stand somewhere and then pointing out the large, many-legged specimen just above your head, or abruptly having you hold one while he takes a little longer than necessary retrieving his containment supplies
(he never tries it with anything actually dangerous)
(begrudgingly) impressed/turned on if you laugh it off and handle yourself with ease, but it turns out he’s both amused and kind of touched if you’re visibly unnerved; not only does he get to see that sweet look of fear, but when you power through it and make sure to handle the specimen carefully, because you know how important it is to him?
uwu mode a c t i v a t e d
like Abe, Asa is a lot more at ease when he’s out in nature, away from civilization. he’s much more willing to casually touch and be touched, occasionally guiding you with a hand on your waist or offering his hand to help you through a particularly rough patch of terrain. he pretends not to care if you keep holding him once you’ve made in to safety, but if you’re sharp enough you might be able to catch him glancing at your intertwined fingers
sometimes he brings Hellstrom and Burkhard and just lets them go nuts in the woods for a bit. he likes to watch you play with them
my fave Asa design has relatively long hair so please imagine Asa with a tiny ponytail to keep it out of his face with me. are u imagining it?? im imagining it.
every time he bends over you just quietly *praise hands emoji*
#abe sapien x reader#the collector x reader#asa emory x reader#nsft#only vaguely but u know#the asa design ive basically accepted is @schmeesky's btw! big sexy

Fox McCloud of Kongo Bongo Part 1
Hello, beautiful friends. I'm simul-posting this silly fanfic idea I had for a while now. Cause Fox McCloud X Tiny Kong content doesn't exist except for the content I made myself, so I'm making a fic dedicated to my silly Sword & Planet doodle I did some months back.
With all that said, I hope you all enjoy, and sorry for any spelling and grammar faults. I'll fix them after the post if someone points 'em out to me, but this fic is being written by the seat of my pants and pretty casually.
The Lylat System was quiet. It had been a short year since the return of Andross when Fox McCloud and the Star Fox team had stopped Andross from destroying Corneria and taking over the system. Fox McCloud, leader of Team Star Fox, was piloting his Arwing past Sector X. The strange nebula was once the secret base for Andross and his operations during the First Lylat War, but now the odd cosmic cloud in the shape of a cross was just a quiet landmark through the system. At least, so it should.
[This is Pepper. Come in, Fox.]
Fox gave a tired grunt, losing his concentration and focus as he reached for the communicator strapped to his head and flipped it on. "You're clear, Peppy."
[Are ya seein' anything there, Fox?]
"That's a negative." Fox said as he checked his instruments again. "I'm still getting those weird readings that Slippy picked up, but I'm not seeing anything."
[Ya shoulda waited at the Great Fox like I told ya, Fox.]
Fox gave a roll of his eyes as he said, "Peppy, stop worrying so much." After the return of Andross every low life of the system seemed to go into hiding. True peace was still out of reach, and there was always work for the members of Team Star Fox, but finding any big named criminals who tried to fill the same niche Andross were hard to come by. In a way, Fox didn't like this; as a mercenary, he lived to fight. Was it wrong to think that way? Most certainly; peace in the Lylat System, where no little kid lost their father like he did, was the ultimate goal. But he needed food on the table like anyone else did.
[Wolf O'Donnell is still at large, Fox. He could be setting up a trap for ya.]
Cap'n Wolf O'Donnel, the name rang in Fox's ear. He could still see the burning, red scar on that wolf's face, the yellow of his eyes burning into his own. Out of all the mercenaries Andross hired to take him and Miyu out, Wolf was probably the best. His equal in almost every way and nearly sent him to his doom. It was the most intense fight Fox had ever been in; for the first time in his life, Fox truly feared that he was gonna die.
And yet, ever since then, there's been a hole in his chest that he couldn't quiet fill.
"If Wolf's out there, then I'll be ready for him."
[Fox, you're-]
"End transmission." Fox didn't wait for a reply, turning off his head piece. He wasn't in the mood to keep listening to Peppy badger him over this; besides, if Wolf was out here, then he would've shown his face by now, right? There wasn't anywhere to hide in Sector X, it wasn't anything by burning gas and bright light.
"One more pass around." Fox told himself, initiating another scan. If nothing was here, then he should turn back and head back for the Great Fox. At least, that's what he should do, but he was in no real rush to make it back to Peppy and listen to him nag his ear off. He cruised around Sector X thinking about how he'd rather go to Titania. There's a nice little saloon there, perfect place to refuel his Arwing and drink his problems away. Just the thought of Titania ale was tempting Fox to ditch his mission. It was weird; he wasn't much of a drinker before, by after the first Lylat War, he grew a taste for alcohol.
Suddenly, Fox jerked the controls on his Arwing, suddenly him into a dive just in time to avoid a photon shot. His instincts kicked in just in time, but where the hell did that come from?! He looked on his radar, seeing nothing, but then looked to see an incoming transmission message. He didn't even patch it through or have the chance to reject the message when a scarred face appeared on screen.
"Hello, pup."
"Wolf!" Fox growled as he glanced up, seeing the lone, quad-wing ship cut through the unforgiving void as he rocketed right for the vulpine pilot. Fox bared his fangs, starting to charge right for Wolf like a demented game of chicken. "I knew you were skulking about these parts!"
"And I knew you'd come with the right bait." Wolf chuckled, his shields deflecting Fox's photon shots as he fired back with his own. "And now it's time I pay back the debt I racked up back on Macbeth."
With some expert barrel rolls, Fox was able to deflect Wolf's own shots, the two ships crossing the other's paths.
"Not to mention I'm paying you back for killing the rest of my team." Wolf snarled, spinning his ship around and beginning to chase Fox through space. His ship let out rapid volleys of hot orange shots on Fox's tail, but Fox managed to evade each shot. Fox could feel Wolf gritting his teeth as he managed to evade each shot. It was like Fox had eyes on the back of his head and Wolf couldn't get a clean shot!
[Fox, come in! Fox! Fox, answer me!]
Meanwhile, Fox couldn't shake Wolf from his tail; it was like Wolf was glued on! He tried to perform a somersault, but Wolf was right behind him, gunning for his engines. He felt his air form a lump in his throat; Wolf was giving him no chance to breath or get any space to counter attack.
"Get back here, brat!" Wolf called out, but Fox was too focused to be distracted or baited by the bounty hunter.
[H-hey! F-Fox, can you hear-ribbit?!]
"Want me?! Come and get me!" Fox called back at Wolf. With a well-timed barrel role, he deflected Wolf's volley of shots and slammed the breaks. Wolf flew right past him and was reading right for the burning mass that was Sector X before Fox chased Wolf down. Now that the tables had turned, Fox was going for the kill, charging up a photon shot that he aimed right for Wolf's engine, prepared to finish off his rival once and for-
[HEY GENIUS! WHAT ARE YA DOIN'?! GET OUTTA THERE!]
Falco's shrieking in Fox's ear piece made him release his shot just before the charge was done, nailing Wolf right in the back of his ship, just missing his engine. Wolf started to climb up and get away, but Fox was more focused on the ringing in his ear. It felt like a siren was blaring with how loud it was.
"...Wait, that's not my ear." Fox flinched as he looked at his were going crazy! Before he could decipher what was happening, a sudden, brighter light came from Sector X. In the center of the nebula's glowing cross appeared,a void of purple light that began to swell and open up.
"A Worm Hole!" Fox realized it too late! He tried to pull away, but this Worm Hole was sucking him in! His controls were starting to lock up; try as Fox might, but he couldn't escape the gravity field the Worm Hole was projecting! It was like a hand had grabbed his ship and started to pull him in by force!
"What is this?! I can't get away!" Wolf shouted, doing no better as his ship was being lured right into the vortex as well.
Fox couldn't think; Wolf's screaming and the Arwing blaring were growing more and more distant as they fell closer to the Worm Hole. His life was starting to flash before his eyes; Fox thought that fear would grip his heart, yet he was oddly calm. Life, death; they didn't seem to matter anymore. Or, rather, Fox felt ready to embrace his fate. Day to day life felt more and more like a chore for the mercenary. And while he didn't rush towards death, he wasn't against letting it come to him. As the light began to fade and sound turn to nothingness, Fox felt ready to embrace death like a bride.
And then, nothingness.
This wasn't the first time Fox had entered a Warp Zone, but this was different from the last time.
The last time, back in the first Lylat War, was a constant bombardment of light and sound. Blues and pinks, odd sounds that made Fox think of some odd, old-school music. It was dizzying back then, yet it felt oddly natural. As if nothing was weird at all; or maybe the odd Warp Zone was manipulating him though the protective hull of his Arwing, making him feel relaxed when any sign man would be panicking and screaming, crashing their ship to any and every piece of debris in the void in a misguided attempt to confirm if what they were being subjected to was real or just a dream they couldn't wake up from.
It wasn't like that this time at all; in fact, it was the exact opposite. Fox couldn't see anything, it was all dark. It wasn't black as night or even dark like space. There was no source of any light, not even from his Arwing. He couldn't see his own hand even if it was trembling in front of his own face. He couldn't hear anything either; not Wolf's screaming, not that he could tell if he was or not, not the alarms his Arwing should've been giving off, not even the sound of his own heart.
He couldn't feel anything either. Not the taste of his own spit, not the seat he was sure he was still sitting in, nor the controls his hands wouldn't let go of with his vice-like grip. Fox felt as though he was cramped inside of his cockpit, yet weightless, and his sad attempt to anchor himself in place was useless. Was this what death was like or was this just the odd void he was trapped in.
How long would he be here? Would he die here? Could he die here? And just how long has he been here? At first, he thought it was just five minutes, but at the same time, he felt that he had been floating here for five hours. It was getting so bad that Fox couldn't tell if he was even still in the cockpit. Was he awake? Thinking in his sleep? Were his eyes even open?
CRASH!
Suddenly, all of his senses hit him like a hammer upside the head. A low groan escaped Fox's muzzle; he wanted to feel something, but now it was pain. His body felt sore and stiff; it felt like he had slept all day and hadn't moved a muscle, but somehow worse. Like he was stuck in his cockpit for weeks. His eyes slowly peeled open with a groan as a setting sun's light pierced his retinas like a hot laser.
With a grimace, the fox blindly reached across the console to open the hatch to his cockpit. His ears twitched anxiously with the lack of any cockpit opening sounds. As his eyes adjusted to the light, he tried to press the button again, but noticed how it felt through his leather glove.
Cold.
His console felt ice cold. The Arwing wasn't running. Fox tried to fire it up, but he didn't even catch the sputter of the engine.
"Great. My Arwing's dead..." Fox grunted as he adjusted his seat. With a hard kick of his metallic leg, Fox kicked the glass shielding off of his Arwing before he dragged himself out. Popping his neck and shoulders, Fox looked around. He was on some kind of beach, but this didn't look like any beach he knew. The sand was black as night and gave a beautiful, if not ominous, shine under the setting, red sun. He looked ahead of him, seeing crimson waves push and as high tide began to set in. Behind him, a massive jungle, but there were smoke stacks poking from the tree line. Black clouds of smog began were pouring into the air, obscuring Fox's view from looking beyond the trees.
"Where in Lylat am I...?" Fox mumbled, but he questioned if he was really still in the Lylat System at this point. He reached for his head piece and began to speak. "Fox to the Great Fox, do you hear me guys?" He was met with a chorus of static in his ears. "Great, my Arwing's dead and now I can't even call for help." Just as Fox thought things couldn't get worse, he heard something.
Marching?
Fox pulled out his blaster, turning behind him and preparing to fire a warning shot, but was promptly met with a pair of larger guns pointing at his face. They looked crude and rudimentary as opposed to his own blaster, but they were not only much bigger, but there were five crocodiles pointing what looked like brass-and-steel blunderbusses at Fox's head, florescent tubes sticking out of the sides of their guns.
"Don't even think about it, furball." The croc snarled, his body bulging with muscles covered by mostly green scales. "Drop your blaster and come quietly or your hide will make a nice rug."
"Oh damn..."

Fun Facts:
Dominant hand: Right
Favorite food: Injera
Least favorite food: anything related to fish
Dislikes: being called scairdy cat
Hobby: Crochet
Talent: Sensing danger long in advance
Appearance:
Regis is a rather tall and stocky boy, he has a square shaped face with a stubble stretching across his chin despite his young age. His skin tone is dark brown which only brings out his purple-gold eyes even more, he was often told he had the eyes of royalty due to their color. Hanging out from his head, Regis has a large mane of thick black dreadlocks with orange highlights. And as for his ears and tail. They have a sandy color with a black end. Though what's always apparent about Regis is that he's always fidgeting/shaking, as if everything has him on edge, which honestly is true.
Personality:
Regis is very, to say the least, cautious. He is a very skittish and high strung person. But beyond his cowardly parts of himself is a big old teddy bear, he often crochets for the dorm and if need be will fix up ant fabric that's torn etc. He wants to be a hero in shining armour, that great guardian and protector but hos own overly creative and worrisome mind keeps him bound a lot. What ifs fill his thoughts keeping him too scared to progress. But during those moments he can break free if his fear no one can stop him.
Backstory:
Regis for as long as he can remember was always bullied and pucked on, especially in the Savanna, he was pucked on, made a fool of, and generally treated like a mistake by his peers. How's a lion gonna be so cowardly, scaredy cat, scaredy cat, scaredy cat, over and over he kept getting teased like that. Not to mention if he wasn't getting bullied with words, he was often bullied physically. This made him develop a sense for danger, to protect himself against others. And I think during some point in his past he did meet Leona once, but seemingly he found out when he went to NRC, the prince forgot him. And in the school I wouldn't be surprised if Leona sees him as a sorry excuse of a lion.
But tangent aside, Regis was getting bullied so much him and his family moved from the Savanna and into Ozlandia, where Regis heard tales of a cowardly Lion who despite his fear became so much more, that inspires him to this day.
Unique magic
(Spoiler warning for future story chapter)
During the time when Leona Overblots and the two dorms confront him, Regis is in the fray of the fight, and despite Leona's teases and jeers, with words if encouragement from Dorothy as well as Zoroaster, the threat of danger before him and wanting to prove Leona wrong Regis awakens his magic, he is a Lion born from things Leona couldn't be
King's Will: This is a mostly passive magic but how it works is that Regis' body predicts the best way to evade and counter his opponent. Heck in this mode it's like he flips the script. His personality becomes very efficient and streamlined, blocking out all distractions. Though in this form he does become very prideful abs overconfident
Trivia:
Regis Anakh in certain translations can mean the courageous lion king
His unique magic was inspired by ultra instinct from dragon ball
He is based on the cowardly Lion
He is deathly scared of rook, no one but those two know why
If he would play magic shift he'd be frankly really good at evading enemies, though he's too scared to play it
He has a habit of holding his own tail when he's frightened
During track what helps him run really fast is him imagining he's being chased by rook, or some other fearsome beast
Right the Christmas holiday Regis Crochet everyone in the dorm a piece of clothing that fits everyone the most. As an example he crochets Theodore a mini Grim
