One of the two crickets that became my pets semi accidentally almost 2 months ago (!!) decided it was time to start chirping yesterday for the first time.

It's so annoying when I'm trying to sleep but also. So cute.

#I've had them for 7 wks now and my mom already had them for a few days and they also got shipped here and stuff #And according to the internet they get to max 9 wks #So I'm rly worried the sudden chirping is a sign that they're dying #Esp bc crickstopher played dead all day #But also tbf the only reason they became pets is bc crickstopher staged an elaborate escape heist #That included playing dead in the geckos enclosure for 2 days and then immediately escaping when my mom removed it #And he played dead for a day another time #So that's just kinda a thing he does #And lemony cricket is the one that's chirping #I am #Getting way too attached to these feeder crickets oof #And yes I can tell them apart #They love eating bell pepper and crushed meal worms and they are my children
