He's a bigass, fuckass tuxedo cat (also partially inspired by the Manul cat)

He is also a grouchy old man

He hates everyone

He never listens to anyone either, beats up (and even eats) other kaiju or angels for fun

Although his looks are pretty much inspired by the og series Zeruel, he also has all of the powers and can do everything rebulld Zeruel does, which also explains why he's so unbelievably crusty

The only person he actually, geniunely, tolerates is Marie's grandma, not even Marie herself, which just adds to his crustiness

the fact that we return to the status quo, that the veil remains to leave spirits harmed and segregated and keep mortals from their natural state and the titans are still sundered and lace is just angry at Elves and at Solas for What He Did and he's locked away as punishment/retribution just. really makes Lace Harding's whooooooooole storyline sit so poorly in my stomach.

like actually upset that a fictional character is being head-canoned as bi or pan or whatever they make it sound like it's this gross and horrible accusation and say shit like " nooo 😭 *insert character's name* can't be bi because they're obviously in love with *insert name of character of the opposite sex that they are canonically involved with* " like actually crying over it and it's like do you not know what pan and bi mean?

and it's so weird to be this mad about a hc in the first place but especially something like this is like just say you're homophobic and go

The thing I really hate about shadow and bone being cancelled is that I feel like the main weak spots in the show are from netflix putting them in an impossible spot

We might get renewed but we probably won't? Guess we have to rush the pacing and condense siege and storm and ruin and rising into one season. And I guess we have to squeeze in enough of the crow's arcs to give those fans closure

It's just, how were they supposed to give the story the time and space it needed when netflix was already breathing down their neck threatening to cancel it?
