That is genuinely a bad thing for me to learn because I would be too awkward to tell them "hey, that's not me".

Good on you and some of the others for being able to say "nah, that's not me". I just think these people think it's 'okay' (emphasis on finger quotes) to do these because some blogs didn't speak out or the muns were too shy to speak up and say, "that was not me"
