It is mandatory to wear a mask outside in France as the coronavirus lockdown restrictions ease up. But that doesn't mean it's a loophole for the so-called burqa ban. The French Interior Ministry confirmed recently that women covering their faces for religious reasons will still be penalized during the COVID-19 pandemic.
