This may look like your ordinary mansion, but don't be fooled. This 2018 estate in Battle Creek, Michigan has everything, including being fully equipped for an apocalyptic takeover. 5bds, 9ba, $5.75M. According to the description, they spent $10M developing it into a potentially off-grid compound, so it's a steal at $5.75M.

We've seen mansions before, so we'll just take a peek at the home part, (hint- it's blindingly WHITE), then cut to the chase to the special features.

You get the idea. Click on the listing to see all 138 photos, but wear sunglasses, b/c this house is too white.

It has a sauna and a therapeutic pool and spa.

And, there's also a home theater.

The 290.55 acre lot has a lot of ground to cover. There's this fenced-in area that looks like it's for growing your own vegetables.

I don't know if they haven't set the greenhouse up yet, or if they removed everything, but it looks like the equipment is new.

There's a house that was probably already on the property when they bought it.

On a remote part of the huge property is the entrance to the bunker.

This is your spacious apocalyptic bunker ready to be filled with supplies, etc.

The soil beds are ready for you to start your indoor garden (would also make a great pot grow room).

There's storage everywhere down here.

It's gigantic.

Such a large area, it must sprawl way out underground.

While everyone else is trying to escape the apocalypse, you can be having a relaxing soak.

No idea what this is- maybe a deeper, more secure space? Soundproof? Okay, I've been informed that this is a firing range. So, I guess they're preparing to battle it out if they have to.

In the meantime, you can enjoy the beautiful property. Screw those ugly decommissioned missile bunkers, this is a mansion bunker.

Pipette finally gets a face !!

She’s based on the Maori mythology of the Patupaiarehe (also known as Turahu). These fairy-like beings resemble classic gingers, sporting red hair, pale skin and a fear of light. They live in houses that couldn’t be seen by humans (like bunkers :3) and they are known for their incredible music.

Pipette is of Maori decent on her mother’s side, having been raised with many of the cultural practices in an effort to keep traditions alive in the generations after the apocalypse. On her father’s side, she is one of many redheads in her bunker. Redheads foster a unique ability to produce Vitamin D even with limited sunlight exposure, so their birth was often manufactured. Her father was part of this initiative.

The Bunker Builder

Well, unlike September I actually managed to get something out this month, and it's something that's been on my mind for a while, but I'll talk about that later.

In short:

-A series of lists/tables to inspire you to create your own post nuclear bunker

-Consider who made it, why, what they stocked it with, and more

-Use them as direct roll tables, or just as inspiration for your own, better ideas.

As always I super appreciate any sharing of my work, I'm terrible at marketing and social media

So, I've been fascinated with the post apocalypse for a long time. It started with Fallout 3 (yes really) and has extended forward and backward in time since then.

As a consequence, I started work on Those Left Behind, what would be a big, chunky rpg, the ultimate toolkit game for the post apocalypse. It's been in the works for... a long time, long enough that I can't pinpoint exactly where it started.

It would have tools for generating entire regions, mutations (for both players and monsters), a full rule system, and of course, the Bunker Builder.

For what are bunkers but the dungeons of a wasteland?

The original vision was much more ambitious, and maybe I can get to it someday. It would have actual pieces that you could roll for, and assemble, literally building the bunker corridor by corridor, room by room.

But that would require a lot more than one month of work (at my speed) plus art assets, and much greater layout skills than I possess.

So this Bunker Builder is a compromise, meant more to inspire the creation of one, rather than one to one build it.

I still have some smaller Post Apocalyptic ideas that may come up soon, and maybe Those Left Behind will come out someday, though it will need exponentially more support than I have now.

But for now, what matters is getting things done

Visiting a world war bunker that's surrounded by very friendly and curious cows

These included older artillery designs, anti-tank guns, and anti-aircraft guns from various annexed and conquered nations such as Czechoslovakia and France. The article highlights specific weaponry used, such as the French “Canon de 155 GPF” and the Soviet 122mm guns, demonstrating how the Germans integrated captured equipment to bolster their defenses. This is weird. It's a tiny home buried underground in Valley Springs, AR. According to the description, it "provides security in troubled times." $275K.

What you see above ground is a greenhouse and a 35x100 garden with 7-foot-tall fences and a steel gate.

This must be for the summer.

It's so tiny down here in the house. I guess the ladder in the power room is the entrance, and this is a very small kitchen.

And, bedroom. I would expect that the food comes with it. The whole house is 13' x 28' which includes the utility room.
