Beautiful hairstyle

Thonking hard about Buggy and long haired Buggy especially. Like I don’t mind the stylistic choice in the LA but maaaaan, maaaaaaaan. There’s the obvious stuff like playing with his long hair and braiding it but my mind keeps going back to Head!Buggy and you and it’s just a bit of time to kill before you get anywhere and you were honestly just supposed to watch him so he doesn’t get snatched up by a seagull and something and you both agree this doesn’t mean ANYTHING (he’s gonna develop a soft spot for you and ONLY you out of all the straw hats immediatly), but it’s so damn boring out here and you have some hairties you found somewhere and just… You using Buggy’s head like a hairstyling toy and just braiding it for him or putting it into little buns, clipping it out of his face so it doesn’t get into his eyes etc.

Sanji passes you once and is about to say something but Buggy just gives him a glare that’s all „Got something funny to say punk?“ and he just shakes his head and moves on.

(You forget one tie in there before he reuinites with his body. A simple little thing with two skull beads. He initially keeps it because he actually feels it suites his style but he developes a fondness for this little thing in particular that he doesn’t allow himself to think about for to long)

This is so much longer then I thought it would be so I'm putting it under read more but like yes.

- No cause I absolutely agree, love his long gorgeous hair. I like to think his hair isn’t thin either, its a good mix of thickness but not to the point of curly. He’s got the nice ‘wave’ going. Did you know that in his hat, there are small braids in the hair coming out of it in the LA.

- It didn’t take long for Buggy to start complaining about the heat and it didn’t take you long to get fed up with his complaints

- You kept looking at how his blue hair kept draping over the side of the barrel he was on, and how his bandana has not moved a inch since he was taken out of the bag on the ship

- "Let me do your hair." "No." "Let’s continue then to sit in almost complete silence, would you like to play cards? Oh, wait. You have no hands. What about I Spy? I spy something blue."

- Just making fun of the his situation until he caves in to let you, he says to stop your whining but in reality he could really use the scalp massage

- Putting a crate behind the barrel or something so you can sit and do it. It’s softer than you had thought it would be, and you could see small braids near his bottom layers.

- "Did you do these?" "Huh? I can’t really see the back of my head, you gotta be more descriptive." Holding one of them out for him to see. "Oh yeah, adds a nice touch to the hat when I’m performing!"

- The shed though, his hair would shed so much. You’d be pulling blue hair strands out of your clothes for the rest of time. And they’d get everywhere on the ship too.

- You could hear him sigh in relief when you first start brushing through it, and you felt relieved knowing those knots have been eradicated.

- First thing you do is just a little bun so his neck could get some fresh air for once and then it evolves into the craziness.

- Buns, pigtails, high and low ponys, 1 braid, 2 braids, fishtails, french, dutch, braiding 2 pieces and then wrapping it around his forehead like a crown. Favourite would be doing 2 french braids at the top of his head til it's the bottom and then putting the hair tie there so it becomes a fancy low pigtail.

- "I can't believe how pretty you are with your hair, not very fair to the rest of us good sir." You joke out, meaning it though. "I've always been pretty!" You snort at his reply not knowing how warm his face had started feeling.

- Every pirate has a niche collection, yours? Your hair pin collection. To die for. You have been collecting hair clips and such for this exact occasion. Butterflies, wooden, yellow, purple, bobby pins, bows, ribbons, flowers. The whole works.

- Buggy even thinks about asking you to join his crew just for your hair decoration skills.

- One time you even trim his dead ends for him, and some of his front pieces to frame his face more.

- He got so used to it that if you didn’t approach him with a brush in hand first thing in the morning that he would start asking for you saying how he needed his royal brushing. (He’s totally not worried at all sometimes when you take too long, ha that would be. Ahem.)

- Sometimes he’d even doze off, but would swear he was just resting his eyes.

- A few times someone would stop to glance at you two but never intervene, except Luffy. He was always in awe. Sanji had voiced his concerns for you but never says anything in front of Buggy, you could never see but the two men were death staring each other every time they passed.

- Word spreads through the crew and even though none of them had long enough hair to do or in Usopp’s case, has been doing it himself this whole time. They do come to ask for little clips here and there, Luffy wanting one for the string on his hat so he has something to fidget with, (Nami wanting some to wear with her different outfits later on), Usopp wondering where you got heart ones so he could get one for Kaya, even Zoro wondering if you had one he could wear for Kuina’s memory on special occasions.

-You knew you were nearing Coco village, you had overheard Buggy talking to Usopp about it. How they should be there within the day. You settle for a low bun that curls up right beneath his cap.

- "No beads today?" "Well there is some on the tie but you can’t see it, I was thinking that it would be a more relaxed day. I got some stuff to do around the ship."

- Everyone is so caught up in Nami that by the time things have cooled down you realize he’s gone, no more blue hair to twirl around your fingers.

- The clown realizes too, fiddling with the tie in his hands. Burying the longing deep down, hoping he never sees you again but praying he might get a glance of you once more. He takes it out if he knows he’s about to raid somewhere to avoid breaking it.

- Tears apart his quarters if he misplaces it, someone has almost lost a hand because it fell off a table.

synopsis: you’ve recently awakened a power after being injured. around the same time your husband begins filing for divorce. your only company is your daughter jolyne and the monster keeping you up at night

Your fingers gently take the hair clips out of Jolyne’s hair. She wanted to wear butterfly hair clips with her fishtail braid, so you happily put them in. Now that she’s back from elementary school her hair is a bit messy from playing, loose strands and broken butterfly clips on her head. 

“Did you have a good day, Jojo?” She begins to ramble about her day with a smile, her outspoken nature definitely coming more from you than Jotaro. Jolyne tells you about how she won every dodgeball game in gym class and how everyone was so impressed. “That’s amazing dear.” You say while beginning to comb out her hair, as all the clips and elastic bands are out. “Your hair is getting really long.” You comment as it falls to her mid back, and she just shrugs. 

“I kinda want a haircut.” A hum of acknowledgement accompanies Jolyne’s statement. 

“I wouldn’t be opposed. It’ll always grow back if you want it longer again.” Jolyne nods with a bounce, making you halt your brushing so she doesn’t get her hair tugged on. “Do you have any homework tonight?” 

“Just a bit! I’ll do it once you put my hair up,” she says it with a pout and you can hear it in her tone. She’s such a precious child, you think as you finish combing her hair and pin it into a loose bun. 

“Dinner will be ready for you when you’re done dear. Let me know if you need any help.” Jolyne nods with a smile and runs upstairs to her room. You watch as she races to her room, the door shutting softly behind her. Your heart stings as you head to the kitchen to begin dinner. Jotaro has been coming home long after you’ve eaten with Jolyne for the past few days. 

Shaking your head as if that’ll shake these thoughts from your mind, you look in the cupboards for your recipe book. As you rummage in the back of the shelf you see an ornate brooch in the shape of a beetle. Curious, you pick it up. It feels like a knife tears right through your palm and you drop it with a scream. Jolyne comes racing down from her room, stopping at the end of the stairs when you tell her to hastily. 

“I’m okay Jojo! Just scratched myself, you should get started on that homework.” You offer her a smile, gritting your teeth behind closed lips. Her eyebrows push together but she nods, heading back up to her room. Once the doors closed you let out a groan, watching as blood dripped down your hand and onto your tile floor. “I need to clean this up,” You calmly state while wiping the blood from your palm onto your apron you put on since entering the kitchen. 

“I’m sure this brooch is Jotaro’s, I’ll put it on his desk too.” You mutter while exiting the kitchen. In the adjacent room you find his work study and you place the brooch in a drawer full of various nick-nacks. The tchotchke was fairly cute, but you can’t help but wonder why he had it. 

Turning around to clean the kitchen, you see a looming figure. Its body has [color] accents with gold and beige, skin adorned with scales resembling a pangolin. You fall back, anxious of getting too close to this stranger. It has a long tail that’s curling into itself, angular eyes and an animalistic snout. 

“Who-what are you?” Scrambling to your feet, you watch the strange creature stare at you with those beady eyes. In the pupils you can see stars and in the iris you see your shocked expression staring back at you. You watch the monster with wide eyes, terrified that when you blink you’ll be a goner. It stares back with absent vigor, with hazy eyes like it has cataracts. “Leave me alone…” You whisper in a silent plea. You can’t let anything happen to Jolyne. 

“I’m Wake Up.” It’s voice is scratchy like you imagine those scales to be. “I’m your stand. I’ve been born from your soul’s desires.” You shake your head, entirely disbelieving this entire situation. “You’re not imagining this.” 

You just wish for this to end. Your breathing begins to shake, pupils shaking as anxiety takes a hold of you. The throbbing in your hand begins to burn when the creature places its hand on yours. It has long nails just like a rodent. The radiating pain begins to calm upon touching the scales covering it’s body. 

“This is your power. I can heal with these scales and I can harden my body. Like a pangolin my tongue is long, and my claws are nigh indestructible. If you take off these scales they’ll act like a tracking device.” You stare at the creature – you mean your stand – still shell-shocked. “I’m here to help. Not hurt.” Eventually you nod, allowing this being into your life. Still you’re scared and worried for yourself and Jolyne, but you can’t do anything at the moment. Suddenly it disappears, the creature retracting into a scaly ball before vanishing from your sights. Your breath hitches, still shaken up over the ordeal. 

You head to the kitchen with a towel anyway, quickly wiping the blood from the floor and beginning dinner.

Another night where Jolyne and you are eating dinner together. She picks at her food, upset that her father isn’t there. You’re upset too, eyebrows pushed together as you stir the ice cubes in your water. Jolyne isn’t chatty like she normally is, staring blankly at the food on her plate as she plays with it. Normally you’ll tell her to be careful to not make a mess but words are logged in your throat and no matter how much water you drink it won’t move. 

Jolyne goes to bed the earliest she has in a long time that night. It’s now nine pm and you’re laying in bed, your pangolin-esque stand sitting at the end of your shared bed with Jotaro. Jolyne was asleep last you checked on her, so you invited the mystery to appear again. 

“Do I control when you appear?” 

“Mostly,” Wake Up responds while wiggling its scaly tail. “Sometimes I won’t listen.” 

Your eyebrows react to that by lowering. “What do you mean by-” 

“Like now!” The creature vanishes as the bedroom door opens. Jotaro enters with his usual serious expression, your hands are against the sheets with a look that reads you’re not happy about your stand’s audacity. 

“Jotaro.” You greet him with a bittersweet smile, heart aching at his absence but finally feeling minimal relief at his awaited appearance. “Was work alri-” 

He cuts you off immediately by removing his top to change into pajamas along with his blunt words. “We should get a divorce.” 

Your heart sinks into your stomach. If you weren’t sitting in bed you worry the weight of what he just said would cause it to fall right through you. Like a deer in the headlights you stare at him, mind entirely frazzled by his proposition. 

“I’ve gotten all the papers ready. I need your approval.” 

Is this why he was home late every night? When you thought he was working late to make sure Jolyne had everything she could ever want and you could indulge in your hobbies – he was really just going behind your back to remove you from his life? 

Your breathing becomes erratic as you stare at the man you vowed to love all your life. His effigy is a painful reminder that you’ve honored that – through all the times he's been short with you, he’s yelled, he’s acted on whatever he needed for himself – but he hasn’t. When he said “I do” all those years ago he was lying. Your face is growing hot in anger and sorrow, tears soothing the burning of your face. Cupping your face with your hands, you try to hide all the emotions overflowing. It’s obvious despite your shaking hands hiding your tear stained face because of your loud hiccups. 

The mattress sinks a little as Jotaro gets into bed with you to be met with you turning away. You can’t see how his eyes narrow in his own sadness. You don’t know why he’s doing this, or how much he still loves you. As he watches you sob his own heart is breaking, especially with how you refuse his comfort. He wishes he could stay with you, that he could stay with Jolyne, but your safety has always been his priority. 

“I’m so sorry.” Jotaro says empathetically while your body shakes. 

“Sorry you don’t love me anymore.” You said it so quietly, your sobs and hiccups interrupting the words, but Jotaro hears it and wants this to have never happened.

☆☆☆ ☆☆☆ ☆☆☆

The divorce is underway and you can’t sleep. Jotaro comes home even later than before which fills your mind with rage and resentment. Is he actually working or is he getting the things you couldn’t give him? Is he overworking himself like you always thought or is he getting stress relief from someone in the way you thought he only got from you? 

Jolyne notices how your gentle and nurturing nature has changed. Instead of seeing the glass half full you see it empty. As you brush her hair you aren’t humming, instead you’re staring off into space and stroking and stroking and stroking it until Jolyne asks if you’re okay. 

Your dinners are less coordinated. The dishes aren’t done as you cook, now they gather at the edge of the sink and stay in the dishwasher until noon. The apples in her lunch aren’t cut to look like bunnies, the napkins don’t have sweet notes on them, and there’s no cute animal forks for her to eat her vegetables with. 

“You’re worrying Jolyne.” Wake Up ridicules while you stare into the vacant spot besides you. It’s so cold without your furnace of a husband beside you. “I know shit’s rough but Jolyne deserves a present parent. And Jotaro isn’t present for either of you.” You know their right but you still feel anger in your soul. Naturally, Wake Up knows that. “You can’t make him love you again.” 

“I know that!” You snap despite your best attempts to keep it inside. Tears flow down your face again, face heating up as you recall what Jotaro had said nights ago. “I know that,” You reiterate in a broken voice. You’re so tired of sobbing – so tired of being strong. But you know Wake Up is right. Jolyne needs you to be strong for her. 

The next morning Jolyne wakes up to the smell of pancakes. She races down the steps, seeing you humming while flipping the fluffy breakfast. There’s cut strawberries and bananas in a dish, whipped cream and syrup on the counter too. Three plates are set up which fills Jolyne with hope that her dad did come home last night. It fills you with hope too despite knowing he never came to bed. It’s false hope but it’s what you feel you need. Once the pancakes are all done you serve her, watching as she happily gets fruit and syrup to eat them with. 

“Thank you!” Jolyne has a big smile, her messy hair all over the place since you didn’t pin it up for her. 

“Of course Jojo.” You smile back while grabbing the comb, elastics, and hairclips. “Once you’re done eating I’ll help tidy up your hair.”

Waiting for the divorce to finally happen may be breaking you more than the initial conversation. It’s like living a double life, putting on a happy front for Jolyne while falling into a deep spiral every time you’re alone with the lights off. 

Tonight’s like any other as your mind races and Wake Up witnesses it while curled up into themself. Only this night the door opens, light being introduced from a distant world. You’re too preoccupied in your head to recall your stand, Jotaro’s subtly shocked expression going unnoticed by your closed eyes. 

“[Name], get back!” That voice you know better than your own shouts startled. “This must be an enemy stand!” A purple entity emerges from behind him as your stand uncoils itself. 

“No, it’s my stand.” You say with narrowed eyes. Jotaro stares at you in shock and recalls his own stand. 

“When did this happen?” 

“A week ago. I picked up the brooch you had in my recipe cupboard and it pierced me.” You extend your arm, showing him the scar along the lines of your palm. “You knew that brooch did this to people? Why did you even have it?” You stare at his blank expression and shake your head. “It’s like I don’t even know you. Like there’s this entirely different world you live in and you can’t give me access. I thought we loved each other, I thought we trusted each other.” You shake your head again before your voice can get louder. “But I realize I’m wrong about both.” 

You’re met with silence as Jotaro thinks of what to say. If he should tell you that he loves you, that he just wants to be safe, that he’s never been happy away from you? 

“I do love you-” 

“Bullshit!” You’re so upset about the whole situation that you cut him off. “Why would you want a divorce then? Am I not good enough? I’ve only ever tried my hardest! What else could I do? I fucking love you, and-and you don’t love me,” You wish you’d stop talking with how rude you’re being, but all the anger held inside of you is coming out in full. “What did I do wrong?” 

“I want to keep you and Jolyne safe. These abilities we have cause people to target us. I can’t let anything happen to you or Jolyne. I love you both too much for that to happen.” Jotaro comes closer to your figure on the bed, taking you in his arms. You think about thrashing against him, but it’s been so long without his touch and you melt completely into his body. “I love you. I love you so much.” Jotaro feels ready to cry with how much he’s hurt you in his attempts to put you out of harm. “You and Jolyne matter most to me.” 

“I have a stand now,” You begin while wrapping your arms around his neck. Holding onto him tightly, you inhale his cologne. The scent of him is nearly gone from the sheets. “I can protect myself and Jolyne. You don’t need to do this.” 

Jotaro is silent for a moment, thinking about your point. He doesn’t want to be naive in thinking that, but you may be right that your stand is enough to combat the dangerous nature of being unique. 

“I trust you [Name].” Jotaro holds you tightly, relieved himself to have you in his arms. “I’ll cancel the divorce. I need you in my life.” 

“I need you too.”

notes: for the sake of this fic, Sasuke agreed to have the same arm prosthesis as Naruto. I’m assuming it’s a prosthesis. I’m not updated with the new manga/anime.

“How come you don’t know how to braid hair?” Sasuke asks as he starts to gather Sakura’s hair in sections.

In the summer of the fifth year after the war, Sasuke decided to come back to Konoha for a brief pitstop before continuing on his journey. Sakura’s hair had gotten long since he last saw her and when he mentioned it Sakura said she hadn’t had the time for a haircut because of how busy she was. Besides, she figured she’d let it grow long again. She kinda missed the days when she had it cascading down her back and wanted to see how she’d look with it now that she’s grown and her face has matured. Sasuke had commented she looked good no matter her hair length which earned him a smile and a good-natured elbow nudge.

It does however interfere with her work sometimes so she opts to put it up in a ponytail or a bun, but it annoys her that she has to retie her hair up every time it gets messed up with how much she’s moving. Sasuke suggested she braid it, to which Sakura said she didn’t know how to, and so Sasuke offered to do it for her. 

So here they are after a light lunch together in her office, Sasuke standing behind Sakura getting a start on braiding her waist-length hair while she sits still on her office chair reading some medical scroll. Naruto had left as soon as he was done scarfing his meal for a meeting with Kakashi as his successor so now it’s just the two of them.

“I do so know how to braid hair,” Sakura says in defense. “I do it for the kids in pediatrics all the time when I’m free. I just don’t know how to braid mine.”

“Okay, let me rephrase that then,” Sasuke says as his fingers continue to wind Sakura’s hair one section over the other deftly. He’s gotten used to using his prosthesis and has had it adjusted to just the right way that neither his hand nor fingers freeze up. “How come you don’t know how to braid your hair? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you with it tied in a braid when we were kids.”

"Oh, well. That’s—oh, sorry,” Sakura apologizes, holding her head steady when Sasuke grunts in annoyance after she tries to turn to him. “Ino always used to do it for me. When we fought and had a falling out, I just let it run freely."

"Why did you fight in the first place?" 

"Because of you."

“What?” Sasuke’s fingers pause for a second before continuing. “Me? Why?”

"I dunno,” Sakura shrugs. “I was young and stupid. I didn't know any better that you shouldn't break off a friendship over a stupid boy,” she sighs, resigned to the judgment she’ll get. Hell, even she judged herself when she grew up and finally knew better. “I know, I know. I'm trash. Say it."

“Not like I have a leg to stand on if our adolescent years have anything to say about that,” Sasuke replies diplomatically which got Sakura giggling. It’s nice that they could joke about that time of their lives now.

“Yeah, well. There you have it. All that fight over a stupid boy.”

"I'm the stupid boy," Sasuke ventures to guess as he finishes the braid and ties it with the elastic Sakura had handed him earlier. “There. Done.”

"Of course, you're the stupid boy,” Sakura confirms in a tone that says she can’t believe he even had to ask. She whirls around to face Sasuke, the fishtail braid whipping in the air at the force of her turn. “You've always been the stupid boy. You will always be the stupid boy."

"I think you're confusing me with Naruto."

Sakura flicks his bandaged prosthetic hand. "You know what I mean."

"Hn."

"Well, we made up later on and we’re still best friends now, and anyway, you know,” Sakura says, inspecting Sasuke’s handiwork before smiling up at him. “I think the stupid boy was still worth it anyway."

Sasuke raises a hand and pokes her on the forehead, smiling when Sakura scowled and lightly swats his hand away, his gaze ever fond.

Do you think it would be possible for Spider to be persuaded by recoms to change his hairstyle? I love him, but those dreadlocks… Buut, just imagine Spider with curly/wavy hair, maybe braided in little braids with beads on the ends. Theoretically, I know that Spider's hair is important to him, but let's assume that some situation happened that would force him to cut his hair.. Yes ABSoLUteLY, I think about this constantly! There are some amazing, incredible pieces of art of Spider with a more natural hairstyle for his hair type, and still nods towards Na'vi culture.

My favourite hairstyle is long and wavy, with smaller braids plaited in at the sides, drawn back into a bun or a smaller top knot, and he can still have as many beads or feathers as he wants!

If anyone had ever shown him how to braid I think he'd be so good at it, he' be able to braid his own hair in a variety of styles (french, dutch, fishtail, rope) and could maintain the looser hair a lot more easily.

Ask you anything? Very well. What are the top 5 hairstyles Hunter Bad Batch could pull off?

Alright anon, buckle up, bc I went all out researching this (I mean, browsing google images pretending not to drool over men’s undercuts and top knots….anywayyy).

Hunter’s hair is thick, wavy, and mostly shoulder length. It lends itself to a variety of hairstyles and ways of styling. I kept that in mind while branching out a little bit if he ever kept it shorter or a bit longer. Also, a lot of these have short beards as well because you cannot tell me that man can’t pull off a well groomed beard.

1. All-Natural

Honestly this man looks amazing just with his tousled locks swooping over his forehead, bandana or no bandana. It takes really nice hair to have just a simple, layered, shoulder length cut look good, and boy does Hunter have that.

2. Bun/Top Knot

Any kind of messy bun, top knot, pulled back arrangement for this man’s locks is going to look good. Whether he spent some time combing them out and twisting them just right, or hurriedly pulled everything back with a hair band Omega keeps on her wrist for him just so he can get it out of his way, Hunter will look like he was born to pull off that look.

Interestingly as well, Māori hairstyles incorporated many different variations on what we call buns and top knots. I can’t show the images for copyright reasons, but google “men’s Māori hairstyles.” There are some beautiful engravings and drawings from the 1800s of them and their elaborate facial tattoos if you search.

3. Fade + Quiff

If Hunter ever decided to go a little shorter and keep up with a more aggressive styling regime, that jawline and thick hair are perfectly suited for some epic faded sides and pulled back locks on top. I can guarantee you he would chisel some nice but subtle patterns into the sides as well. Again, this would be balanced perfectly with an equally well-kept beard.

4. Swept-back

Similar to the all natural (and closest to his current style), this look keeps the layers shorter on top and lets the length sweep back with some hair gel. It could even extend into a mullet—yes, I hate to admit he can pull even that off as well 😅.

5. Braids, Braids, and More Braids

And finally, we have of course, the braids. Any braided hairstyle really, braided sides with the top smooth, one long braid on the top with small ones on the sides, a fishtail braid pulling everything loosely back, braids leading to a top knot or bun…this man would look good in them all.

Part two of four to my FMN hairstyles plus this verse’s canon hair facts thread because why not?

Just like Laena, Alicent is also a very simple woman when it comes to how she styles her hair. Its not that she’s afraid of change but that she’s simply content with her current style. This look has did her good two thousand years ago and it does her good now. A pretty brown that sometimes looks reddish depending on the light, a few nice layers and blown out bangs are all she needs. Alicent straightens her hair every once in a while but only because she likes the way it makes her layers pop out when she bumps the ends. Though she’s finding other heatless methods since Laena has been hassling her about using her blow dryer + flat iron too much.

Whenever she visits foster centers or spends time with her clients little sisters or daughters the girls love playing with her hair, happily allowing them style it in fishtail braids with little ribbons and bows.

Visenya has nearly given her a few panic attacks because her grabby little hands love trying to rip out clumps of her bangs.

She may or may not be contributing to Baela’s hair ties going missing.

If I had to use one word to describe Rhaena’s hair it would be fairycore. Bows, beads, barrettes and hair jewelry of all kinds have always been her friend. Sometimes they’re colorful while other-times they’re monochromatic but there’s always a pattern they take on. I imagine that if she were to go to the Renaissance concert that she’d wrap all of her locs in sliver hair string with shiny silver beads at the end.

Updos are her everything, her hair stays in ponytails or buns. Usually paired with a bang swooped to the side.

She cut bangs into her hair a few summers ago and reattached her locs with a crochet needle when she missed them because they’re such apart of her. But she’s sure she’s gonna do it again soon because its such a look. Not to mention that temporary hair color held such a special place in her heart in her middle school years. Especially pinks, purples, and blues. 12 yr old Rhaena used to take a few locs and go crazy with the color during the warmer months. Though she always made sure to use a vegan brand because their products washed out the easiest, two deep shampoos and she was back blonde.

She’s currently considering dying her whole head a light plum color and Is definitely the reason so many of Baela’s hair ties go missing but returns them secretly whenever her sister gets box braid or faux locs because she’s 100% gonna keep them in a ponytail the whole time before cutting them out.

Aegon iii AKA 🥚

He’s a lil emo baby and I truly love that for him. Very much into the dramatic, editorial sort of hairstyles which are veryy unconventional but is kinda scared of what Rhaenyra would think if he went that far because his mother’s approval means everything above all and is scared shitless she wouldn’t. Instead, he chooses to cut himself some choppy layers and dye the ends jet black with cheap box-dye. His bangs are way too overgrown and don’t even really qualify as bangs anymore. It’s to the point where he kinda can’t see but doesn’t make them shorter because he’s too committed to this specific look.

Doesn’t care too much about maintaining health so he’s rough with his hair and uses the crappy three in one shampoos while hardly conditioning (yes, his hair is dry asf but we love him anyway)

Will likely go fully jet black with blonde highlights one day.

Aegon���s hair is…lets just say it looks cool which is great!

Its not ugly at all, most people like the messy almost mullet look he’a got going on. However, the real problem is that it’s somehow even more dry than Egg’s. He washes it ofc, but never conditions because its too much work and lets be real here; Aegon would 100% not even bathe if it were socially acceptable to be musty. (Plus Jace is all about good hygiene and Baela will literally punch him if he comes in her face smelling like old socks so it serves as encouragement.)

Aemond has tried to get him going with a proper haircare routine several times but it’s more difficult than training a dog to do sign language so he’s given up completely.

Adam, yawning, stumbles into the EVP hotel suite, ready to collapse into his bed. He very quickly sees this is not an option.

"Why are there two Bucks in my bed?" he mumbles, half asleep. "Usually there's only one of you."

"I'm braiding Nick's hair," Matt says, teeth pinching a hair elastic. "He's getting flyaways."

"Am not!" Nick replies. "Matt's being annoying. He wants to practice his braiding or whatever."

Matt looks at Adam, a very you know how he is, kind of glance, and Adam can't help but smile.

"This mean I don't get to go to sleep?"

"We'll go to sleep soon," Matt replies. "I'm almost done."

Adam watches as Matt braids. It's slow and labored, messy at its worst and mediocre at it's best, but Matt is trying so hard his knuckles are white. It's endearing.

"And there!" Matt says, dropping the floppy braid. "All done." He frowns, noticing the bumps. "Oh, no."

"It's good, Matty," Nick insists, standing up. "Please, for the love of god, let me go back to my room so I can get some alone time."

Matt pouts. "Fine." He watches as Nick leaves the room, and Adam watches Matt.

"Matty," Adam says, as gently as he can, "are you trying to get better at braiding?"

"What? No."

Adam raises an eyebrow and pulls his hair out of his bun. "Is this about that wedding hair thing I saw you pull up last night?"

Matt blushes bright red. "No."

"Matt."

"...Yes." He flops down on the bed. "Braids are hard and I don't want to spend two hundred dollars on a stylist when I know I could figure it out on my own. And I know you haven't proposed or anything yet but," he shrugs, eyes going big and sweet, "I want to be ready."

"Proposed?" Adam says, standing up behind Matt and pulling out what appears to have been an attempt at a braid. "Who says I'm going to do it?"

"Nobody," Matt says, relaxing as Adam runs his fingers through his hair. "But, you know. I want to be prepared."

Adam laughs, low. "Alright. Tell me what else you're preparing for."

Matt talks at a speed nearly impossible to follow, listing venues and invites and people. It's good timing that he takes a second to breathe halfway through the linen options.

"Done," Adam says, laying the rest of Matt's hair down.

"Done?" Matt asks, reaching up. "You - you were actually doing something?"

Adam nods. "Go look."

Matt scrambles to his feet and books it to the bathroom. "Oh, my god!"

"Look at the back," Adam says, taking a photo. He shows it to Matt.

Matt turns to him, the loose hair flying around his face. "These are the Legolas braids!"

"Yep," Adam says. "Two small French braids by the ear, fishtail down the back. Easy as pie."

"You did it!" Matt says. "I - how did you - it's perfect - I -" Matt cuts himself off and throws himself into Adam's arms, kissing him like they're on the bow of the Titanic and not post-match tired in a hotel room.

Adam pulls back to yawn after a bit. "I'm glad you like it."

Matt turns them so he can get a look at himself in the mirror and stay holding Adam. "I look like a sexy elf," he whispers.

"You are a sexy elf," Adam says, leaning down to kiss at Matt's jaw. "You've even got the height down."

Matt splutters in protest all the way into the bed, where Adam gets to quiet him in both of their favorite ways.

wow i didn’t realise so many people had the exact same hair journey as me!!! mine was long enough to sit on, then buzzed, and now it’s long again! mine also grows really fast— i had it cut short into a bob a little while ago and it’s already past my shoulders. for hairstyles, i really recommend claw clips! if you want to chuck your hair out of the way quickly, they’re so simple and easy and have bonus of looking nice without any effort (just don’t wear them whilst in a car). other handy hairstyles i like are half up/down, generally using hair clips, and you mentioned you could braid? a pretty hairstyle that doesn’t take much more effort is parting your hair in the middle, and braiding small pieces on either side back— braid down to the top of your skull then finish them off, you can leave them hanging loose, tie them together, add ribbons etc. also fishtail braids are so easy and pretty! buns are super pretty as well and very easy to do— high bun, low “ballet” bun, space buns, half up buns etc! possibilities are endless! another easy thing is to tie a bandana in your hair, keeps it out of the way and looks like you put in a lot more effort than you did (i like it for when my hair is greasy). hope you’re having a lovely day! ♥️

thank you, i hope you're having a lovely day too! fun to see those posts resonating with the "i cut all my hair off once every three years" crowd lol. most (maybe all?) of my repertoire is braids and buns, though i don't know how to do a fishtail! it SEEMS like it should be easy because there are fewer pieces, but if there are fewer pieces how do you braid them together! isn't it just a twist?? i know i could look this up but somehow i always get distracted on the way there and never come back. so fishtail braids remain a mystery. i was just thinking about possible hairwrap styles today when i got out of the shower...i haven't explored them but it would be fun sometime. i fear hair clips are not for me, though - they're too poky and i can't lie down with them in, which is very important for my lifestyle (sleeping). but i'm glad they work for you because they do seem very convenient!

Coco and Yuri agree to be your models for a day. What clothes do you put them in and how do you do their hair? (I'd also include Hubert but I can't imagine any situation outside copious amounts of blackmail that'd get him to agree... Except maybe Edelgard asking him to..?)

I'd take the chance to put them in some more modern outfits!!

There are so many different outfits I'd like to see Yuri in. A tailored suit with fancy shoes. A black polo and long straight coat or denim jacket, with boots. Oversized shirts and button-ups tucked into tight jeans. Colorful crop tops with dumb slogans or jokes, combined with mini shorts. And lots and lots of jewellery. I also think he would look damn good in a skirt.

For hairstyle, I like the ponytail thing he's got going on in Three Hopes, so I'd experiment some more with that. Ponytails in various degrees of tightness, as well as lazy buns.

As for Coco, it'd be fun to try a multitude of different styles and see what she likes. I think she'd be very verbal about her likes and dislikes as long as she wasn't in sunlight, meaning that if we found something she liked, she would be over the moon with glee.

I'd like to dress her in cozy fall outfits though. Large knitted shirts tucked into skirts, coupled with knee- or thigh-high boots, and huge soft scarves and fancy coats.

And I'd try lots of different styles for her hair. Braids especially. Fishtails braids! French braids! Dutch braids! Crown braids!! I just think she would look great in braids. Also maybe a loose bun or two. Coco and Yuri can be bun buddies. (That is not meant to be a euphemism!!)

If Edelgard convinces Hubert to join in as well... Hmmm... I'd dress him up in all of TOP's outfits from the music video for BIGBANG's Fantastic Baby. Just as a fun lil throwback for me to the time in my Youth that I was obsessed with TOP ✌️
