I have this thing stuck in my head where Buck’s in his openly pining after Eddie era and gets super into cosmology after him and Eddie take Chris to the planetarium, and one day he’s chatting with Maddie about parallel universes and he gets all sad telling her that if the theory is true then there’s a universe out there where him and Eddie are already together, and Maddie smiles at him so gently and says “there’s also a universe out there where you two never get together. Don’t let it be this one.” And Buck stumbles over explaining astrophysics to Eddie a week later while asking him out on a date
