Guess season one of Dexter wasn’t out of my system yet. Was able to squeeze in a Rudy/Brian using some spare parts. A child took his hand when he stepped on the second puddle, walking calmly by his side despite the fact that he got wet every time he jumped over another, spreading the water on the sidewalk as they passed. He could feel the moisture on his skin, the cold on his body, and the warmth of the other child's touch, who did not move even an inch from him, he didn't let him go, and that made him feel "safe" ...

Suddenly the sky thundered, the clouds became darker over his head and some drops began to touch his face; it was raining again.

He hastened to suit the jacket that had ended up below his shoulders, dragged by the weight of the backpack he was carrying, when suddenly, the boy who accompanied him pulled his hood down roughly, covering his head and causing him to lose his balance.

- Biney! - shouted him.

The other just laughed, squeezing his brother's hand a little tighter.

His vision clouded, white lights were shining on the plastic wrapping the man in front of him.

"You're the only one I ever wanted to set free ..." Dexter said with the words stuck in his throat. He was there again, his forehead resting on his, enduring what his mind would force him to do.

The knife passed through his throat before letting him continue. He didn't want to hear it, he couldn't. But he felt him gag; an involuntary reflex to breathe again, to survive, but no matter how hard he fought, it was done. The gash ran deep down his neck, and blood was already trickling to the ground ...

A thunder woke him up exalted. The rain was beating fiercely on the living room windows and for a moment Dexter lost track of where he was. He leaned back a little more relaxed in the couch where he had slept, and stretching his face with both hands, he sighed; he was trying to get those images out of his mind. He rarely dreamed of anything, but this time, a nightmare had left his head buzzing. It had been so real ...

- Did the thunder scare you? - he heard Brian's voice.

Dexter has lived in relative peace between his cover and his dark passenger for some time now, preparing himself to hunt down his next victim with a certain sense of balance when his plans are shattered abruptly. His brother, Brian Moser, suddenly appears at his apartment's door, greeting him as calmly as the first night they reunited... Only that now, six years has passed since he died.

- The bed is yours ... - Dexter confirmed ignoring the previous comment while looking for something in the closet - I'll take the couch...

Brian took the liberty of lying in the middle of the bed, spreading his arms lengthwise in complete comfort. Closing his eyes as if the sensation became more pleasant that way, more intimate.

He was tired, walking miles and sleeping on the floor hadn't helped. So the simple task of reopening his eyes was getting difficult.

- Why the couch? - Said without looking - There is enough room for both of us in the bed ... It would be like the old days ...

- That's not going to happen... - Dexter replied somewhat rough, continuing with his search.

Brian smiled almost helplessly, sleep was beginning to overcome him.

- Then we will take turns ... - he offered - I'll take the couch tomorrow...

- It's not necessary - the younger said suddenly approaching him to take his hand.

The older one returned the caress widening his smile, it was unusual for his baby brother to be so affectionate. Too unusual ... He should have seen it coming.

Suddenly he felt the icy metal on his wrist and heard how the latch on the handcuffs lock on the inside. He opened his eyes with his smile completely faded, noticing how Dexter had finished handcuffing him to the cot on the bed.

He gave him an accusing look, almost psychotic, to which his brother could only reply:

- I have nowhere to handcuff you on the couch ...
