playing breathedge bc it's on sale and I had it on my wishlist bc it was recommended as a game similar to subnautica and tbh I'm having a fantastic time

It's like if subnautica met borderlands humor, and hits a nice middle ground where I have a little bit of direction but there's not a lot of conversation going on?? the suit is comparable to the pda in that it sorta talks to you but it's not like below zero where it's just super chatty

Breathedge would be a good game if it weren't constantly trying to be funny.

Its humour ranges from repetition, fat jokes, mild transphobia, "lol activists", pop culture references, and toilet humour. That's literally it.

Idk man I was already getting soured to it before I fully tuned in to what the motormouth AI was actually saying, then I just wanted to uninstall it.

The exploration in the first part of the game was incredible, at least for a while, but everything else just rubbed me up the wrong way.

And don't even get me started on the item degradation. You can upgrade precisely one of your tools to make it not break at all, at which point another one of your tools -- which you may not even have unlocked yet -- becomes literally useless.

What's the worst game you've completed?

There was a game called Breathedge that I just could not gel with, but I finished it anyway for the sake of 100% completion.

Playing Breathedge and it feels a lot like early homestuck i.e. mocking everyone for being invested in it every five minutes as if the developers didn't very transparently pour a lot of effort in making a great experience at least visually speaking
