Evaline posed, a bit uncomfortable. It was stipulated in her modeling contract that depending on the market she models for, she might need to undergo plastic surgery. The contract was simply too good to pass up, so some of these lines were things she read and hardly thought about. Might need surgery? Maybe a nose job? Her lips done? To go up to a D-Cup? None of that mattered, she was poised to be living her dream, touring the world, modeling swimwear in all kinds of exotic locations.
Once she signed, she did a few gigs as just herself, B-Cups and all. The notion that they might force her to get surgery seemed a less believable possibility by the day, until she got the call. Her agent, casually as any other call, said he booked an appointment with a surgeon to discuss her new boobs.
"New boobs?" Evaline said. "What new boobs?"
"Oh yeah, the magazine and I have been discussing what size to take you up to and we've agreed on a surgeon who can do it. Be up early! We need to be there by seven. I'll pick you up around six-thirty!"
Evaline was speechless. New breasts, but why? What was wrong with hers? Soon enough she found herself staring aghast at the 'plan' for her new breasts. She'd be put on extreme growth supplements to prep them for her eventual polypropylene implants. All of this was discussed as if Evaline had very little agency over what would be happening. Whenever she brought up a potential concern it was handwaved, assuring her it was 'safe' and little else about her issues with weight and general unwieldiness.
She achieved a natural HH-Cup in months on the growth supplements given to her. Although they ached constantly from rapidly growing, Evaline was temporarily very happy with her breasts, confidently doing a few shoots with what she felt were perfect, full breasts. She knew of course it would all be taken away from her soon enough. In the days leading up to the procedure she was increasingly anxious, trying to tell herself maybe it would be called off, maybe they'd see the positive reception of her chemically enhanced breasts and leave them alone. No such luck.
Evaline was prepped one morning, naked in the exam room as surgeons wrote on and lifted and discussed her breasts as if she wasn't there, casually joking and going about how they'd manage to fit 'those freakish things' inside her. She awoke sore, feeling like a car parked on her chest. She couldn't see over them. It was a 'success', they took just fine and weren't rejected--their main fear. Well, rejected yet, as the surgeon told her a few times, "Never say never. With implants this big, rejection, tearing, or outright bursting are extremely common, almost unavoidable." Her agent reassured her they were 'totally safe'.
Modeling as the new Evaline was an uncomfortable experience, but she's learning to like the constant attention, positive and (mostly) negative, mothers blocking their children's eyes, telling her she should be ashamed. Men who would've once begged for her number laugh and tease her about her 'party favors' and if they're going to pop anytime soon. She usually played along and told them 'hopefully'. She could hardly believe the difference. Just a month ago at a HH-Cup, she was treated as a goddess by everyone, a universal head-turner, pure perfection. Now she was a bimbo, impossible to take seriously, the only caveat was her pretty face, untouched, which a few people a day told her to please not 'fuck with'.
Evaline enjoyed touring countries for a few months, her breasts ever the exciting topic for TSA to bother her over, making her strip, waving metal detectors over them, feeling them up and poking them with batons, getting drug sniffing dogs to circle her. They'd usually conclude the inspection by saying, "Well whatever drugs you've got in there are buried too deep. Hopefully they'll pass legislation soon that let's us take the implants out, check them, then put them back in. Should pass the senate in a month or two."
"Goodie..." Evaline would say, blushing from the experience. It was so overwhelming having implants this big, so unspeakably heavy and fake, but she started to get used to them, finding them kind of sexy in an odd way, and after all, she still had her looks, and a little while until her implants would need to be taken out regularly... until she got a call from her agent.
"Evaline, hi! Just got done speaking with your surgeons and we have big plans to give you the perfect face to go along with those bimbo tits."
"I-I can't wait to hear what they wanna do...." Evaline could only resign herself to her new life and nothing more. "I'll be up bright and early!"

Bioresorbable Polymers Market Growth: Key Drivers and Trends to Watch
The global bioresorbable polymers market was valued at USD 1.30 billion in 2022 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.8% from 2023 to 2030. The market expansion is primarily driven by a combination of factors, including the rising consumer health awareness, improvements in healthcare facilities, and an increasing number of surgical procedures performed worldwide. According to data from the National Library of Medicine (NLM), around 310 million major surgeries are conducted globally each year, with 20 million surgeries taking place in Europe and 40 to 50 million in the United States. Bioresorbable polymers are a class of materials that can be naturally broken down and absorbed by the body over time, making them highly suitable for medical applications.
These polymers are produced by polymerizing bio-based raw materials through specialized industrial processes. The increasing demand for medical implants, such as cochlear implants, pacemakers, breast implants, and hip implants, is another significant factor driving the growth of the bioresorbable polymers market. As reported by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), over 737,000 cochlear implants were implanted globally by December 2019. Similarly, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) noted that hip replacement surgeries increased by 22% between 2009 and 2019, and knee replacements saw an increase of 35% in the same period. This growing need for medical implants is further boosting the market demand for bioresorbable polymers.
Gather more insights about the market drivers, restrains and growth of the Bioresorbable Polymers Market
Application Insights
In 2022, the orthopedics segment emerged as the leading application for bioresorbable polymers, accounting for 43.6% of the total market revenue. This dominance is largely driven by the increasing prevalence of orthopedic conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, and degenerative joint diseases, which are exacerbated by factors like an aging population, sedentary lifestyles, obesity, and a lack of physical activity. The rising demand for orthopedic procedures, including knee and hip replacements, is expected to continue fueling growth in this segment.
For example, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) reported that total knee arthroplasty (TKA) was the most commonly performed inpatient surgical procedure in the U.S., with over 1.37 million procedures performed in 2020. The number of TKA surgeries is expected to rise significantly, reaching 3.48 million annually by 2030. Medical products such as screws, sutures, stents, and pins made from bioresorbable polymers are increasingly being used in a variety of medical procedures, including joint repairs and prosthetics. Companies like Evonik Industries AG are developing and offering a range of bioresorbable medical products, such as surgical screws, which are designed to enhance patient care by improving clinical outcomes and reducing the need for additional surgeries. These resorbable implants also help to lower healthcare costs by eliminating the need for secondary removal procedures, a key benefit that is driving their adoption.
Another promising application area for bioresorbable polymers is drug delivery, which is projected to experience the fastest growth during the forecast period, with a CAGR of 15.7%. This growth is largely attributed to the rising prevalence of chronic diseases and the expanding aging population, both of which create a growing demand for more efficient drug delivery systems. Bioresorbable polymers are especially beneficial in drug delivery because they reduce the need for invasive procedures. For instance, implantable devices or sustained-release formulations can help minimize the frequency of invasive procedures, leading to improved patient comfort, reduced healthcare costs, and better therapeutic outcomes.
A notable development in this area occurred in June 2020, when Evonik launched the RESOMER Precise platform, a breakthrough innovation in custom functional polymeric excipients. This platform allows pharmaceutical companies to have unprecedented control over the release profile of parenteral drug products, which is crucial for ensuring consistent and effective treatment. The RESOMER platform, developed using Evonik’s advanced process technology, not only improves the stability of drug products but also helps to mitigate regulatory risks associated with complex drug formulations. This innovation is expected to contribute significantly to the growth of bioresorbable polymers in drug delivery applications, offering enhanced precision and effectiveness in treating a variety of medical conditions.

An Intrauterine device is a T-shaped plastic or copper birth control medical device inserted into the uterus to prevent pregnancy. It releases copper into the womb, altering the cervical mucus and making it difficult for sperm to reach and survive an egg. It can also prevent a fertilized egg from implanting itself.
