Just another idea for a Steddie fic. Because my brain has these two boys on lock every second of every god damn day.
After Vecna Eddie and Steve drifted apart. Eddie took his band on tour and Steve and Dustin built a multi-million dollar company that produces high grade hearing aids (when Steve started losing hearing in his left ear).
Flash forward 17 years. Corroded Coffin never made it big because their bus rolled while touring in Europe and Brian (the unnamed Freak) was caught under it and died. But Eddie is a big name metal producer and is doing well for himself.
Steve got married but after the birth of their daughter, it came out that Allison was only in to get Steve’s trust fund (which he would get when he turned 25 or when he got married). But the court ruled that trust funds can’t be counted as part of their combined funds and she wouldn’t get a red cent. Allison then abandoned Steve and their daughter, never to be seen again.
Steve’s daughter is in a rock band as their lead singer and drummer and they need a place to practice. Steve agrees. They all show up. Mandy their bassist is a pretty black girl, rocking a kick ass fro. Kenny is their keyboarder. He is a shy husky kid who is already getting facial hair. It’s their lead guitarist that makes Steve stop dead in his tracks though. He’s got long curly dark brown hair and chocolate button eyes. When he smiles he’s got his dad’s dimples.
“Hey, Dad,” his daughter says, “this is Harry Munson, he just moved to our school about a month ago and since we needed someone to replace Lauren after the backstabbing that bitch--”
“Language!” Steve barks.
“Anyway, he plays guitar and offered to take her place.”
Steve recognizes the guitar because of course the kid’s first guitar was his dad’s.
Steve barely makes it to the bathroom to throw up as a migraine hits.
Eddie comes to pick Harry up from band practice and makes his own double take. Standing up from the drum kit in the back is a female version of Steve Harrington. Hazel eyes and honeyed hair.
Harry introduces them. “This is Edie Harrington, her dad let us use their garage to practice.
“Edie?” Eddie asks more than a little amused.
“Short for Edith. Mom overrode Dad on that one, and then when she fucked off after being a grade A cunt, Dad started calling be Edie to piss her off,” Edie says with a shrug. “Haven’t seen her in a few years though.”
Eddie nods. “Your dad seeing anyone right now?”
“Dad hasn’t dated since his last boyfriend Mick cheated on him with two guys and a girl. Dad said Mick gave bisexuals a bad name.”
“Interesting...” Eddie says, “very interesting. And where is your dad now, princess?”
She jerked her thumb behind her to the house, “Just follow the sound of puking and you’ll find him. He got a sudden migraine before practice started.”
And then you know where it goes from here: they dance around it because Steve thinks Eddie’s partner is still in the picture (Jay died from cancer when Harry was 10, Harry was a surrogate baby from Eddie’s sperm), they date, they get married, they live happily ever after.
ETA: Full Story here.

Take a Deep Breath of That Fresh, Ice Cold Water
Summary: It’s winter 1983, and all Carlton wants to do is go practice figure skating at the lake. However, it’s not as frozen solid as it usually is.
Notes: I’m falling behindddddd I need to work akdsjfjjsjd my brain hates me.
Whumperless Whump event day 7: accidental cryotherapy
—————
1983
It was winter. A brisk wind swept through the woods, shaking dead limbs. And a certain lake in the middle of the woods was frozen over.
The frozen ground crunched underneath Carlton’s boots as he made his way towards the lake, skates in hand.
Carlton loved ice skating, almost as much as he liked reading about the civil war and attending reenactments. His dad called him prissy for liking to do ‘girly things’. There had been attempt after attempt to get him to like something more manly instead, like hockey. But all that accomplished was giving Carlton more time on the ice to spin and jump around.
Carlton couldn’t pinpoint when it happened, but one day he stumbled across a perfect little lake during the winter. They’d had a flash freeze so not only was the water frozen solid for 6 inches, it was crystal clear, air bubbles not having time to form. It looked beautiful. He almost hadn’t wanted to ruin it. But the ice had lured him, and soon enough he’d unpacked his skates from the bag he carried — ‘just in case’ — faster than you could say ‘figure skating’.
Ever since that day, he kept going. Whenever the thermometer would drop below zero — which was rare, considering this was California — Carlton would be l on the ice, carving out figure eights.
Today was no exception. The air fogged around his mouth as he tied his skates on, gloved hands fumbling slightly with the laces.
As he looked to the beautifully frozen lake, Carlton felt something… wrong. As if something wasn’t quite right.
But the ice called, glistening in the morning light. The pretty sparkles convinced him that everything was fine. He was just paranoid.
Carlton pulled his hat down over his ears, and pushed off. The wind whipped his scarf around as he stroked on.
The repetitive motions let him get lost in thought. He began thinking of the niche things going on in his life. Was Lauren waking up right now? His parents? He hoped they found his note he left before they got too worried of his whereabouts.
Maybe if Carlton hadn’t been so deep in his own mind he would’ve heard the slight groaning of the ice. Maybe he would’ve noticed the thinnest of thin layer of water resting on the reflective surface he was skating on.
He was on his fifth lap around the rim when he began moving closer to the middle, so as to perform certain self-taught tricks better.
It was at the end of a simple leap that it happened. As he stuck the landing, the ice couldn’t take any more of the stress and broke.
Carlton was not at all prepared for this unexpected swim. So the second he plunged under the ice cold water, he accidentally breathed in the water. His lungs screamed at him, trying their best to reject the freezing lake water, begging for air.
Carlton desperately thrashed in the water, his muscles aching from the cold. His winter clothes were useless now, only succeeding in bogging him down.
Air. He needed air.
He tried swimming up, but hit a wall of ice that definitely wasn’t there before.
‘No. No no no no no’
If he hadn’t been panicking before, he was definitely panicking now. The water seemed to become colder, stinging any exposed skin it could find, seeping deep into his bones.
Carlton could only vaguely hear small thuds on the ice as he struggled to break free of this icy prison.
Stars blinked around his vision. He was getting weaker, his arms no longer able to tread.
He was just about to give up when he heard a crashing sound of ice breaking, and felt a strong hand grab his thin arm. He tried struggling against it but found he had no strength left to do… anything, really.
Soon, instead of frigid water, it was the frigid air nipping at him. He coughed the second he felt himself become freed from the would-be watery grave, liquid violently leaving his lungs. Something dragged him out of the water, off the ice, and back onto dry land. And now it was pushing him to his side, letting the lake water run from his mouth to the ground below.
Once his lungs were completely cleared of any debris, he lay still, no energy left to even let out a shiver. His head thudded to the ground as he felt his eyes roll into his head, darkness taking over.
———
Later, Carlton would wake up in a warm bed he didn’t recognize, naked, and have a large heavyset man gently approach him with a bowl of soup and told him the whole story.
It had all been one big miracle. The man had been walking around the woods nearby his cabin, searching for dead trees to make firewood out of, when he saw Carlton fall into the ice. He’d thought he wouldn’t make it in time, but had apparently grabbed him just before Carlton was completely lost.
Carlton managed to thank him, and, when asked, give him his mother’s phone number.
Wrapping the blanket tighter, he felt tears form in his eyes at the sheer humiliation and embarrassment from the situation. Falling through ice and having to get saved by a stranger because he was too stupid to ask a trusted adult to come with him? Carlton couldn’t even begin to imagine the amount of talking people would be doing at school. There was already enough as it was. He may have been oblivious to certain things, but he knew the other kids found him weird.
So he swore to himself that no one except for his mom — and maybe doctors, if it came to that — would ever know this had happened to him.

THUS FAR . . .
static. your head is filled with static — that's the only way you've ever been able to communicate what you feel. it's not cotton or white noise or the rhythmic crash of waves meeting the shore. it's the fuzzy, electric static from one of those old box television sets, prickly to the touch, and it's always been there. just filling up your head, creating a void that's neither a hinderance nor a positive. it's like living life in stasis ; granting you a safe childhood, a normal high school experience, and then — CRACK !! something is wrong. something's broken. you've done something bad, you must have, because your brain is splitting in half and there's so much noise. you can feel your skull splitting, stitches of your scalp pulling free to make room and allow the pure, pulsing, red viscera of your brain to push outward through the cracks. you open your mouth to scream, but no sound comes out. its just the silent white noise, even your struggling gasps for air are no more than polite wheezes. you're clawing at your throat. you're looking for someone to help - anyone. there's no one. nothing. darkness is closing in around you. you can't fight for much longer. . . your sophomore college roommate is shaking you awake, their eyes wide with such panic and fear it makes you jolt. they tell you that you were screaming in your sleep. they ask what you were dreaming about. was it a nightmare? you shake your head and say you weren't dreaming. because you weren't. you never have in your life. try as you might, there's nothing to remember but an empty block in your memory from that night. it takes a day for you to stop feeling shaky. you realize by lunch that the white noise is back and you're soothed into normalcy. it's when it happens again that you start to worry. maybe trying shrooms had been a bad idea... clearly you've altered your brain chemistry, or someone gave you something laced at a party once and now you're fucked. you start carrying around lozenges regularly, one almost permanently tucked into your cheek to soothe your sore throat. another night terror strikes, and when you wake up to resumed white noise, you find out that lauren thompkins has been found dead in the woods near campus. foul play is suspected. you didn't know her, but you attend her candlelight vigil and something eerie tickles at your spine, like someone grazing their fingertips up and down your back. you move home and live in your childhood bedroom to finish off the semester. scared and obsessed, you do your research. you search for answers that don't seem to exist, frittling away an entire summer that culminates in you going to your stoic, intimidating father to admit, "i think something's wrong." and it's how seriously he takes you that's even more frightening. he points you in the direction of your mother — described by him as a flighty, witchy woman, incapable of love and not suitable to raise children. come to find out she has three children and a loving husband, their family homesteading in bearhold. you move in with them and move out within six months, desperate for your own apartment and space away from these strangers meant to be family. but your mother helps. sort of. she tries to. she explains what she knows in cryptic bits and pieces, and eases you through waking panics. bearhold, you find, is better suited for this sort of research, allowing you to frequent local oddity shops and self-medicate with herbs and special teas. you're still coming to terms with it, but you are what you are — a banshee. there's no running from dread when its been cosmically stitched into your very being.

Hatchetfield anon here, and good to know it's fine to gush about them. (Had to Switch off from anonymous to send images :p)
The first one (and possibly less spoiler heavy) would probably be the diva, the queen bee-atch herself: Linda Monroe.
She's from Black Friday and she just scratches that part of my brain that's attracted to dommy rich ladies. She's important, her children are better than everyone else's, and though she thinks her husband is a sniveling fool, she appreciates his loyalty at least. She has a whole song about how she'll make everyone love her ("Adore Me". Quote: "You'll kneel before me, Kiss my toe"), and honestly? She's not wrong. Lot of people fell for the cult "exciting new little religion" that she started (me included. Lauren Lopez just eats her roles right the fuck up).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then, of course, you have the cooky, reclusive, biology professor: Professor Hidgens.
Mad scientist mixed with theater kid vibes. Literally. He's as extra as you can imagine. And what I like best about him is that he's a "greater good" kind of villain. As soon as he realizes the alien hive mind that's turning the whole town into a musical (not the craziest part of this entire series, by far) could be humanity's last shot at world peace, he's all, "Okay. Yeah. Let's join the hive!", knocking out his allies, opening up the doors of his doomsday bunker, and attracting the hive zombies with his own, recently composed song, "Show Stopping Number" (quote: "it'll unify humanity, in a THUNDERING CHORUS! No exists from this Broadway venue~!"), which mixes in a except from the musical he wrote and was trying to get funding for called "Working Boys".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And finally, we have the most recent ones: Max Jagerman, and Grace Chastity.
Where do I start with Grace... She's a repressed Christian girl who thinks having no sexual thoughts until marriage is supposed to be the norm. Then she starts getting dirty thoughts, kills a man, gets her hands on a book full of rituals powered by eldritch beings and decides, "yeah. This is what I want to do with my life. Seducing pervy dudes and then, if they don't pass the vibe check, consume their soul in order to make me stronger..." One good day away from murder, really, as evidenced by her leading the songs "Bury the Bully" and "Dirty Dudes Must Die". Never really expected a character who has the canonical line "[after character A asks why character B would be in hell] -She's bisexual and dead, where else would she be?" to grow on me so strongly, and yet-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And finally we get to Max Jagerman. The unapologetically bastard of a jock with a God complex ("Don't need no one to tell me / High school will be my peak / So I'm willing to take advantage"). The way everyone paints him as this horrible monster in, well, "Literal Monster", and he doubles down on that when it becomes his turn to sing instead of the expected "I'm not *that* much of a monster, here's my redeeming qualities"... Even when his ghost is being sent to the shadow realm he reacts to it by literally saying "WORTH IT!". He's just hits all the right notes for me. The entirety of "Dirty Girl" was sung directly into my soul.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And i think that's about it for my rambling. Now I leave you with the knowledge that Grace and Max's most popular ship name (that I've seen) is "Holy Ghost/Spirit". Sorry for rambling and have a nice day!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THESE ALL SOUND SO GOOD! I definitely wanna watch these now, or at least just listen to the songs 😅😅😅
I don't even know where to start here! I cant even choose a favourite out of your descriptions!! Thank you so much!! Linda sounds completely like my type XD Oh- I have that same brain-part that makes you crave dommy rich ladies XD Especially if they're mean 😅 I'm happy to be a loyal spineless husband for a pretty woman with a sharp tongue XD Happy.
And Professor Hidgens looks promising too XD If you've been following my Callaghan meltdown you know I have a... Thing... for teachers ☠ And OH, just the way you've described him. 'knocking out his allies, opening up the doors of his doomsday bunker, and attracting the hive zombies with his own, recently composed song, "Show Stopping Number"'- Y E S. I'm all for this.
And- just- Grace and Max sound absolutely perfect XD She seems so gross and awful which I l o v e (When female villains get to be truly despicable and broken??? 👌👌👌), and him?? A villain being exactly (if not worse then) what everyone says??? Absolutely obsess-worthy.

In all that you do (one shot)
A/N: I am not actually sure what this is, this fic having no real purpose except that I couldn’t for the life of me get it out of my head. Sooo, with that said, I hope you like it, but a fair warning, it’s a little darker than anything I’ve ever written. Ship: Aaron Hotchner x Emily Prentiss and Lauren Reynolds x Ian Doyle Summary: You don’t chose who you fall in love with. But if you did, she would chose him every time. Word Count: 2,5k Rating: Mature Warnings: Angst, canon typical violence, mentions of knifes, mention of guns, non-graphic violence
You don’t chose who you fall in love with.
But if you did, she would chose him every time. Emily moves to DC and doesn’t give it much thought as she unpacks boxes from storage, suitcases from the last few years, fills shelves with little trinkets and old photos. Like she had done countless times before, like the last years of her life hadn’t happened. She was back in the US and just like her file was packed with a neat little made-up story, she unpacked her life and pretended that the neat little box in her safety box didn’t exist.
She was ready for something new, she was ready to start over, to put Lauren Reynolds to rest.
And then she meets Aaron Hotchner.
She doesn’t want to love him, she wanted easy and clean and falling in love with your boss was anything but that.
She doesn’t want to love him because she was barely over what had happened in France, what had happened during her time with Ian Doyle. She never admitted to loving Ian, but Lauren did. Lauren loved him in a way that scared her, and she had often wondered if that also meant that Emily also loved him.
She doesn’t want to fall in love with Aaron Hotchner, in fact she tries for years not to love him. She can’t love him; she would remind herself time and time again even though she felt her heart beat harder in her chest at the mere sight of him.
So she doesn’t want to love Aaron, but she does.
She had fought it with everything in her, the love she felt for him, had willed herself time and time again to not love him. Aaron was everything she had ever wanted, everything she needed but she didn’t want to love him.
That doesn’t matter, her heart easily winning the battle against her brain when she finds his apartment empty, the only evidence that he had ever been there at all the bloodstain on the carpet and his phone still ringing, taunting her. And in that moment she doesn’t care that she isn’t supposed to love him, she doesn’t care that the fight she has been fighting and losing for years comes to a stop because in that moment she thinks that he’s dead.
And she can’t breathe.
It’s a turning point for them, in the midst of everything that’s wrong in their lives, in the midst of all the chaos and heartbreak and grief, they somehow find each other.
“I love you.” She tells him one night, it’s late and quiet. It had been a long day, tiring to the point of exhaustion but he had still found it in him to make her dinner. It’s something small, something that in the grand scheme of things shouldn’t be a big deal. But it is to her because she knows that he’s just as tired as she is, can see the way he’s fighting his body’s urge to simply give in and rest, but he had seen it on her as well and for her he would turn the world on it’s axis if he could.
She had never had that, had never had someone putting her before themselves.
“I love you too.” He tells her like it’s not the first time, a small almost undetectable smile on his face. “Of course I love you.” His hand is warm on her cheek when he strokes it, his fingers dry and safe and she leans into it.
She kisses him then, lets him take her to his bed to prove how much he loves her, over and over again.
You don’t choose who you fall in love with.
But if you did, she would choose him every time.
 *
Lauren laughs, something cruel in her grin as she watches the way Ian throws a man against a wall, his threats hissed against the younger mans face. She watches his strong body as he delivers another punch, this one hard enough for bones to break and she feels her thighs clench.
She never thought violence would turn her on. Until Ian.
Once he’s done and they watch the body being carried out he turns to her, walks towards her with determined steps and grabs her jaw to kiss her.
“Did you enjoy that, my love?” He asks between rough kisses and she nods into them, her fingers already on the button of his jeans. “Oh you really liked it I see.” He grins and she almost whines when he pulls away from her. “Tell me.”
“I liked it.” She whispered and the flush on her cheeks was instant.
“You loved it.” He corrects her and then pulls out his knife. He caresses her skin with the blade but is careful not to break the skin. She shivers at the danger, of the violence that she’s afraid will consume her.
 *
She wakes up after another nightmare, still feeling the clear blue eyes on her even though she’s awake. She pushes her hair from her face, feels the cold sweat on her forehead.
“Sweetheart, what’s wrong?” Aaron asks and Emily flinches, momentarily forgetting that he was there. He notices, of course he does and he sits up to look at her, eyebrows furrowed. She calms as she looks into the warm brown eyes, so filled with concern that she wants to shy away from it.
“I had a nightmare, I’m sorry.” She reaches for him, reaches for the safety of him and he goes to her willingly.
“About him?” He asks, lips close to her temple and when she nods she can feel his hand tightening automatically. She had told him about Ian, told him about everything that she could without breaking the confidentiality laws or giving him classified information. Instead she had told him about Ian, the man she thought she loved, the man that brought out sides of herself that she hated, the man that made her afraid of herself. But she never told him the details, left out how much she would enjoy the dangers of Ian.
“Yeah.” She nods again and he kisses her temple, his lips lingering against her skin. She doesn’t give him details of the nightmare, doesn’t think he needs to know that she pictured strong hands pinning her down, snarling hurtful words in her ear. He doesn’t need to know that some part of her still enjoyed what Ian did to her, that she hated and loved him at the same time.
Instead she lays back down and pulls Aaron with her, her arms tight around him as she breathes in the familiar scent of him.
She didn’t want to love Ian, but she knew that Lauren did and the memories of them still haunted her, still frightened her even in the safety of Aaron’s warm embrace, of his love for her.
“You said you’re not the marrying kind.” Aaron’s words are the same as Ian’s and he doesn’t even know it. But it’s so different, his words laced with affection and maybe even a little teasing. It’s so different because Emily had told him yes, yes to a life with him, to a stupid diamond ring on her finger and not a gold necklace that for all intended purposes was only given to her with the aim to claim. Aaron didn’t want to claim her, she was willingly his and he was hers, equals in every way.
You don’t chose who you fall in love with.
But if you did, she would chose him every time.
 *
Lauren feels his strong arms wrap around her from behind, his rough stubble against her neck as he breathes her in.
“Hello, love.” He sighs and she relaxes into his embrace, the smell of him as comforting as it is thrilling. He smells like gun powder, blood and danger and she feels the familiar hum of arousal as he places heated kisses along her neck and shoulder.
“Hi.” She turns her head enough for him to catch her lips in a kiss, feels him push her into the nearest wall as he presses his whole body against hers. “You said you wouldn’t kill him.”
“Things change.” He smiles when she shivers against him, ruts his hips against her backside. “How was your day?” He asks as he pushes her pants down and she doesn’t stop him as rough touches bruises her skin.
“Do you really care?” She breathes and arches into his touch, welcomes it even if his hands grab at her in a way that’s more painful than pleasurable.
“No.” He leers and she shivers as she lets him take her.
 *
She sits in front of Ian, cold and scared as he threatens her. It’s her nightmare coming to life, it’s the fact that he manages to bring out Lauren too easily. It’s Emily momentarily forgetting who she was as she turned into the woman Ian had craved. She knew that he never loved her, that he only thought he did but the only thing he ever felt for her was possessiveness and want. And she’s once again reminded that part of her wanted that, that he brought out the worst sides of her.
“You think you love this man?” He asks and there’s almost a curiosity in his voice as he looks between her face and the diamond ring on her finger and Emily feels her finger hovering over the trigger of her gun under the table. One second, that was all it would take. Lauren would have pulled the trigger, but Emily couldn’t.
“Don’t talk about him.” She warned instead, her tone icy and detached and she saw the gleam in his strikingly blue eyes.
It’s over before she knows it, he’s walking away with a promise of vengeance and she knows that Ian always makes good on his promises. She rushes to Aaron, needs him to know, needs him safe.
“Ian is back.” She was panting, had run from her car to his apartment not caring that it was in the middle of the night. “He will come for you.”
He’s confused at first, but as he watches the woman he loves crumble before him he vows to never see her like this, frightened and crying as she clutches to him, makes sure that he’s really there.
“It’ll be okay.” He tries to promise her but she doesn’t believe him, only shakes her head.
“I need to get him. Alone.”
He refuses, of course he does. But that doesn’t stop her. She goes back to what she used to be, sneaks away and gets to Boston and as Ian outsmarts her, all she can think about is Aaron.
She wakes up in a warehouse and Ian is sitting in front of her, studying her as he twirls a knife in his hand.
“Welcome back, love.” He smiles at the way her face turns into hatred.
“Don’t call me that.” She pulls on the bindings keeping her to the chair, eyes flitting around the room before landing on Ian again.
“You used to love my pet names for you.” He mused and stood up. He watched as she flinched when the tip of his knife pressed into her thigh. “You used to love the danger, what happened to you?”
“Lauren did, I’m not her.” She kept her eyes on the knife as he cut the fabric of her pants but never breaking the skin of her thigh, his finesse with a blade something she’d been a part of many times.
“Is that right?” He walked behind her, removed her hair from her neck and wrapped his hand around it, feeling her pulse beat against the palm of his hand.
“I would never love you.” She closes her eyes when he laughs at her, his fingers tightening just slightly around her neck.
“You might be a good liar, but don’t pretend that you didn’t enjoy our time together, love. I can still remember you begging for me, always wanting more.”
She denies it but a part of her knows it’s true. She twists her head to look up at him, knows that she needs to buy time because Aaron was coming, she knew he was.
She didn’t want to love Ian all lose years ago. But you don’t chose who you fall in love with.
If you could, she never would have chosen him.
Aaron finds her, bruised and broken and he stays by her side. He never wavers and as she heals she knows that the love she felt for him was unlike anything else she’d ever experience. She knew that she was blessed to have him, knew that she never wanted to lose him.
“There’s parts of me that I’m afraid off.” She whispers late one night as he sits beside her hospital bed, his hands clasping hers. It’s the first time she said the words out loud.
“I know that feeling.” He says and it surprises her. “What I did to Foyet, I never thought I was capable of that, if I had been the one catching Doyle I would have done it all over again, the feeling the same.”
She squeezes his hand in hers, had never imagined that he had the same darkness inside of him even when she had witnessed it herself. It was because she thought it was different, his violence brought on by anguish and grief, hers because or urges she wasn’t aware off until she became Lauren Reynolds.
“When I was with him, we did things, or he did things and I… I can’t lie and say that a part of that didn’t excited me.” She looks down at her lap, avoids his dark eyes until he moves from the chair to sit at the edge of her bed.
“Did you love him?” He asks and again he surprises her. She looks at him with wide eyes and her bottom lip tucked between her teeth to keep her chin from trembling.
“No, what we were, it was horrible, dangerous.” She shakes her head. “It was two people using each other to take out their hatred on the world.”
“Do you love me?”
“More than anything.” She reaches for him, takes his face in her hands because she needs him to be as sure as she is about that. “I love you more than anything.” She says again and he smiles.
“Then maybe, that’s enough for now?”
She lets him wipe a stray tear from her cheek, a sob catching in her chest when he kisses her. She didn’t chose to fall in love with Aaron, but did anyways. And even if you could, she would chose him every time.

Before the Morning
CHAPTER 2 - The Disastrous Dinner WORD COUNT: 3664 Words Wattpad: @screamingcamren
Chloe Isabella Stalin @ItsYoMainBitch Apparently, Ella Robinson spilled that having sex with Lauren Jauregui is like having a sex with a dead person. Stoic. No thrill. Boring. And guess what, folks? Ella didn't stop there. She also revealed that vibrator and a fake dick can make her orgasm more than Lauren can. Yikes! Vanilla person spotted! Lucky for her her savior who's name rhymes with Camila Cabello will be throwing her a "All hot boyz" party tonight! If you want to see Georgina and I then you know where to find us. #UselessDickGirl Kisses. 22,646 likes, 21, 543 reblog
"I knew it! I fucking knew it! Ella is Camila's posse!"
Normani laugh, "Shocker! I know it hurts but you'll get over it soon."
I rolled my eyes, "You are the best dick I've ever tasted, Lauren! Oh god! You are so good it makes me go crazy. Proceeds on orgasming 100 times every time. That doesn't sound like a boring sex to me.
"Fun tip: Next time don't fuck Camila's posse."
My eyes keeps wandering around the computer room thinking how can I get back from the embarrassment Camila caused to me.
This won't sit on me. I need revenge. I need my damn payback.
And then my eyes landed on the computer screen in front of me and smirk quickly formed on my lips.
"I know that smirk, you fucking vanilla."
I glare at Normani and she laugh, "Stop calling me vanilla!"
Since the accessibility in this computer is limited I do my computer whiz talent and crack up a few codes before I'm able to access the greatest site of all time.
Pornhub.
I type Latina brown eyes in the search bar and a lot of videos pop up. I started scrolling through each videos looking for a girl that looks exactly like Camila or somewhat close to her appearance.
"Does this look like her?" I asked my best friend as we watch the 4 foot Latina girl being fucked hard by some random white boy.
Thank god we're sitting at the very back.
"She doesn't look nowhere like Camila. And Lauren," Normani pause the video and look at me, "Are you seriously going to spread Camila's fake sex tape video?"
"I've never been this sure my whole life, Mani."
"This is so low."
"Be it lowerst, I don't care. I'm still doing this."
"Lowest, Lauren." Normani corrected.
"Whatever!" I dismissed her, "She insulted my S game, Mani! And my dick is hurt badly! I need to avenge it or else I'll lose sleep."
I snatch the mouse from Mani's hand and continue scrolling through thousands of porn videos.
"Cause maybe it is?"
I stopped and gave Mani a disbelief look, "How dare you! Look, the only reason I got bad reviews in bed is because Ella is one of Camila's tentacles. And I don't take bad reviews very well."
"I don't think that's a good idea. Look, I know it will hurt you so much hearing this but I'll say it anyway. Camila's a smart ass bitch. If you threw her a bomb her first instinct is not to run but to defuse the damn bomb."
Smirk shoot across my face the moment I found a video that looks similarly like Camila.
"Payback's a bitch, bitch!"
I immediately signed in my account, which is premium membership by the way, and downloaded the video.
Normani laughing the entire time.
She gets up from her seat and grab her stuff, "I love the fact that your brain is actually working on this but sleeping during classes."
So that's why she gets up from her seat quickly because she's about to roast the shit out of me.
"Come here you fucker!" I try to reach Normani but she quickly dodge it and run away while laughing.
"We'll post that shit together! Don't you dare do it without me!"
"Fine! Whatever!"
I connected my phone to the computer to transfer the video and then deleted it before I grab my stuff and walk out of the computer room.
I headed to the smaller building of West High where Ally's department is aka the elementary department to fetch my sister. She's a 5th grader and I'm gonna say my sister is the most genius shit ever. And suddenly I can hear Normani's "What happened to you?" monologue speech in my ears.
That idiot.
Little kids like Ally are scattered around the place. Others are playing while some are waiting for their fetchers. I found my sister playing with her two best friend Sofia and Maggie.
"Hey, cupcakes!"
"Lolo!" Taylor immediately stand  up and gave me a hug.
"Hi, Lolo!" The other two little cute girls greeted.
"Sup, Maggie and Sofi! Your fetcher's not here yet?"
"Kaki's probably still in her dance practice."
I furrowed my eyebrows, confused whether they're talking about their brother or sister.
Taylor seemed to understand my confused face. "They're referring to their big sister."
"Oh," I chuckled, "So your sister's a dancer, huh? Sophomore?"
"Kaki's a senior." Maggie answered.
"Great! So we're both senior then. What's her name? I might know who your Kaki is."
"Her name's C—"
My phone suddenly rings interrupting the beautiful Sofia from talking.
"Hold that thought," I told her as I pulled my phone out from my pocket. It was mom calling.
"Hey, mom." I greeted.
"Where are you?"
"Still in school. I just fetched Taylor."
"Go home now and help me prepare for dinner."
"Got it! We'll be home soon."
"Okay, drive safe. Love you!"
"Love you too, mom." I ended the call and slip my phone back to my pocket.
"We really need to go ladies. We'll chat next time, yeah?" I gave the two little girls a hug before I swing Taylor's bag pack on my shoulder.
"Babye Maggie and Sofi!"
The three of them shared a long sweet ass hug before Taylor fetch my hand as we walk towards the parking lot.
"Those two looked hella cute. I bet their older sister is beautiful too. And it's a major plus points that she's a dancer."
"She is, Lolo. I saw her once when she fetch Maggie and Sofi."
"Really? Lucky hooman! You get to see her before I do!"
Taylor tugged my hand and she's wearing a teasingly smile, "Are you crushing on their older sister?"
"What?" I chuckled, "Of course not. I haven't seen her yet."
"Yes you do, Lolo! You knew her."
Now that spikes my attention.
"I do?"
Taylor nodded, "They're the ones who's coming over for dinner later."
A smile shoot across my face. Finally I can get another replacement girl for Ella.
"Now I'm excited for dinner."
I open the passenger door for Taylor and she quickly hop in. I place her bag down beside her feet before I put her seatbelt on. I close the passenger door and jogged to the driver's seat.
"Wait, so you said I know their sister. What's her name?"
I turn the car around and started to drive out of the parking lot.
"Camila."
I think I fucking choke.
"What?"
"Camila Cabello."
Oh. My. God.
I bet their older sister is beautiful too. And it's a major plus points that she's a dancer.
Now I'm excited for dinner.
Every appraisal I've said about Camila is like a ghost. It fucking haunts me and I feel like I'm gonna puke the shit out of me.
I called her beautiful. Fuck! No, this isn't happening. I didn't said that. I will never call Camila beautiful. No.
"You're not serious... right?" I asked hoping my sister will say that she is but instead I got a confused look coming from her.
"Oh god, you're really serious. Fuck." I mumbled the curse word. I may have a "malfunctioning" brain but at least I am a good sister.
"What's the matter, Lolo? You don't like her?"
I laugh, "Trust me, Taylor. What I feel for her is beyond that."
"Why do you hate Mila though? She seemed nice."
And she have a nickname for her. Great!
"She's nice to you because you're not me and probably don't have an idea that you are my sister."
"Why do you hate each other though?"
"Because she's a..." I don't know how to describe Camila without associating her name to every curse words out there. "It's a very, very long list why but the bottom line is she's a mean girl. Like, I'm one of the Powerfuff girls and she's the Mojo Jojo."
Taylor make that "Really" face, "That bad?"
"Yeah, that bad."
Throughout the whole drive Taylor told me everything about this Cabello-Jauregui friendship that's been happening between the adults and the little siblings I don't have any single clue about (And I bet even Camila). I learned that our parents have been best pals since high school and the moment they drift apart is when mom and dad moved in California.
And now I'm starting to think the reason why they moved back in Miami is this. I'm really happy that they're best friends and everything but what I'm not happy about is out of all daughters Mr. and Mrs. Cabello could produce, why Camila? Why did their egg and sperm cell decided to create a fake ass bitch that is Camila? The same Camila that I anger the most?
And now it all make sense to me why mom didn't confront Camila in the school earlier. This is the reason why.
I park my dad's car straight to the garage while Taylor burst the door open and run towards the porch. I trailed behind my sister and I saw my parents already organized everything for the said night dinner with the Cabello's.
I helped my mom a little in preparing because god knows what will happen to me if I don't. I baked some cupcakes and muffins for the kids and roasted a turkey and ordered 4 boxes of pizza. I really wish I could know what flavor of pizza Camila's going to eat so I could spit on it and sprawl it with some water coming from the toilet. Unfortunately, I can't tell.
I've been wishing for the hours to go slow or that the wheels of their car flat broke. I'm honestly not prepared to pretend I'm excited and happy to see Camila when in fact all I wanted is to punch her hard in the face until she fell down on the floor unconscious.
But luck is not on my side because as soon as the clock strikes 7:30, the doorbell rings.
"Lauren Michelle, go get the door."
I groaned as I drag my feet towards the front door. I took a deep breath before I open it and I was greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Cabello with a huge smile on their faces. Behind them is Camila and her two little sisters.
"Lolo!" The two girls launch themselves to me happily then turn their attention to Camila, "Kaki, she's the one we're talking about. The beautiful Lauren!"
Camila cringe at the word, "You should've called her the brainless Lauren so I'll immediately know who she is."
Her parents looked at Camila. Their eyes telling her to shut up and the brown eyed girl look back at them innocently, "What?"
"You guys should've called your sister my insecure fan who won't shut the hell up rather than Kaki so I'll immediately know who she is too."
I look at Camila with a smile while the brown eyed girl scoff irritatedly.
"I'm your fan? Please! Nothing about you is pleasant to see. Wake up, you're just a sore in my eyes!"
I watch her parents and sisters look back and forth between Camila and I with a questioning look on their faces. They probably expect us to be a loving friends like them.
But sorry to crash the dream, we're not.
"Oh, Camila! That's why we are best friends! C'mere and give me a hug. I missed you."
I walk over and gulp Camila into a big hug which sent every hair on my body to stand. The disgust that runs through my entire body the moment I hold her is extreme and overwhelming. I'm sure she feels exactly the same way.
A devious smirk appeared on my lips as I whisper to her ear, "I wonder if parents know that their oh-so-holy virgin daughter dated almost the entire guys in school."
"Try to open your big filthy mouth and I'm gonna kill you!" Camila whispered and I laugh as I pulled away.
I face Camila with a fake smile, "You're my favorite sight to see, Camila."
I took advantage of her incapability to fight back by flickering her forehead. Hard. Hard enough to leave a red mark on it.
Camila groaned and glare at me while her parents and sisters are laughing thinking we were both being playful.
Oh, if they only know.
"They are so cute together, Maggie!"
"They are!"
Both little sisters gush while the parents are giving us their warm smile.
"I know Clara's trolling me when she said that you and Camilita doesn't get along well." Mr. Cabello said, completely awe at the sight of us being all buddy buddy
"You guys are so cute." Mrs. Cabello said, "And you must be the famous Lauren. Your mother always talks about you."
"I hope she's saying good things."
"Don't worry she is."
"Shall we?" I motioned through the door, "My parents are very excited to see you guys already."
"We'll get going then." Mrs. Cabello let her kids and husband inside.
"Welcome to our humble abode, Mrs. Cabello."
"Thank you, Lauren. I swear you're the cutest."
"Thank you. I swear you're the prettiest woman I've ever met. Second to my mom, of course."
She look back with a smile and I heard Camila mumbled a "Sucker much?". I watch her parents step inside the house. The moment they disappeared from my sight, I turn look at Camila.
"Actually Lauren, I have something for you." Camila slips her hand inside her jeans then  pulled it out seconds later with her middle finger sticked in the mid air.
"From the bottom of my heart... fuck you."
Camila smirk smugly, "Everybody wants to fuck me, sweetie. But to fuck a game you gotta be a coach, and they were all just average players. But you Lauren, you're below average and it's actually disgusting how stupid you are."
I laugh, "Oh Camila, I don't exactly hate you. But if you were on fire and I had water, I'd drink it."
"If you listen closely you can hear me not caring." Camila smirk before walking inside the house.
I followed her and everyone's already settled in the dinning area. Our parents talk about tough cases they handled today, and that's one of the few more things I learned from them; both of our parents are business partners in our law firm so basically they both owned it which I have no fucking idea with.
Proceeding to the little offsprings, Maggie, Taylor, and Sofia are so lost to their conversation on what they will be playing after dinner.
Only Camila and I are the ones who doesn't have a say on anything during dinner. It's not like I will initiate a conversation with her anyway. One fact is clear here— it doesn't matter how much boredom kills us or if the world is falling apart or we're the last people remaining on earth. I'd rather have my tongue cut off than to talk to Camila and Camila would rather talk to a tree than to have a conversation with me. That's that.
"You know I'm your best friend Lauren," Camila suddenly spoke while slicing her steak.
I bite my pizza and started chewing not giving a damn fuck on what she's going to say.
"And I'm always here if you need me." She lift up her eyes finally meeting mine. She smiled devily, "I heard you FAILED FIVE SUBJECTS and it's okay. I'm here to help you cope up."
I almost spit out the pizza.
Everyone's conversation stops and all eyes landed on me and Camila at how the words " failed five subjects" are so well-emphasized.
This fucking bitch!
"Lauren, is that true?" My mom inquired.
I can feel her eyes boring a hole at the side of my head but I didn't look back at her nor answer her question. I'm just looking at Camila with a deadly glare. The bitch pretended to be shock that she dropped the bomb at the "wrong" fucking time.
"Oh god! You didn't know, Mrs. Jauregui?" Then she turns her brown eyes on me. Her face screams the most fake ass apologetic expression ever, "Oh Lauren,"
"No, I didn't. But thank you for telling me Camila. You are so kind—"
"I didn't failed five subjects, okay?! She's lying!"
"I have proof though."
"Are you fucking serious?!"
"Lauren, your mouth!" Both of my parents called me out.
Camila took her phone and showed the screenshot of my academic card to my parents.
Okay, first of all, how in the hell did she manage to snap that out?
"Don't take this in a wrong way, Lauren. I'm just concern to you. I'm your best friend and I wanted to help you out."
Her face screams a fake concern expression but her eyes are smirking devilishly.
"We're gonna have a talk after dinner, Lauren."
"I'm just concern to you too, Camila. But tasting every guys in school is not good."
Camila's entire demenour changes making me smirk. I shift my eyes on her parents who looked completely shock.
"Es eso cierto, Camilita?"
"No. Por supuesto que no, Papa."
"Whoops! Parents didn't know? I'm so sorry, Camila. I thought they knew all of your sexual activities inside and outside the school."
Camila's boiling in anger at this point and I'm loving every seconds of it.
"Twinkle, twinkle, little slut. Name one guy you haven't fucked." I sing out loud with a smirk.
Camila quickly fires back.
"I'd like to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my ass."
I laugh, "I'm so sorry you were offended when I called you a slut. I didn't know it was a secret."
"And I suppose you having an STD is not a secret too considering you're a skank."
"Good story Camila, but in what chapter do you shut the fuck up?"
Camila laugh, "You're hurt to hear the truth and that's fine. But I have to say this— if idiots could fly it's no surprise that you'll be the damn airport. You know why, Lauren? Because you are the epitome of stupidity!"
"You know why I can't stand you, Camila?! It's because you're the most asshole fake ass bitch I've ever met!"
"Maybe if you weren't so fucking stupid then maybe I won't be a damn bitch around you!"
"F the fucking Y I, Camila! My IQ is much higher than your retarded brain!"
She laugh angrily, "Please! My goddamn dog is much more smarter than you!"
"You know what?! Fuck you!"
"Okay, stop! We heard enough of this banter!" My mom yelled, stopping both Camila and I. But the death glare that we're giving each other didn't. "We get it. You two are not friends. You two hate each other. We get it. No need to say a very inappropriate words in front of the little ones!"
"See?! This is all your fault!" Camila and I said at the same time while pointing fingers at each other.
"Enough!" Now it's her mother's turn, "This feels weird to know that the adults are friends, the little siblings are friends, and... well, except for the older sisters. What's happening in here?"
"Camila fucking Cabello happened!"
"Lauren!"
"One question Mr. and Mrs. Jauregui. There's a lot of stupid people in the world, why did you decided to add one more?"
"Camila!"
"Your mother should've swallowed you!"
"And your father should've wiped you on the sheets!"
"You talk so much shit, I don't know whether to offer you a breath mint or a toilet paper!"
"Please, Lauren! You couldn't pour the water out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel! That's how stupid you are!"
"Ladies! Aren't you tired fighting with each other? Look at your younger siblings. They're much more matured than the two of you!"
"Lolo and Kaki would be a great friends if they ever get along." Tay suddenly butt in out of nowhere earning a loud disgusting scoff from the both of us.
"Friends? I prefer killing her instead!"
"And I prefer chopping off your damn tongue if that will stop you from abusing the privilege of being a stupid moron!"
"And you guys would be good looking couple too." Maggie commented, earning a smile from both the adults and younger ones.
Camila scoff, "Please! I don't do relationship with a dyke! Let alone a brain dead dyke!"
"I would rather fuck a lifeless body than to be in a relationship with a bitch like you!"
"Ladies! Oh my god! What did I say about the inappropriate words? And could you two please calm down?" It was my mom and she's already giving me a death glare which is not a good sign at all.
I guess I already consumed too much of my freedom of speech in this table so I just slide down from my chair a little and shut my mouth.
"We and Taylor are like that at first but when we finally get to know each other well we became best of friends." Sofi started and both our parents agreed.
"Maybe if Lolo and Kaki get to know each other too then they'll be friends too."
Camila's about to open her big dirty mouth when Mrs. Cabello cover it.
Thank fucking god!
"Thank you, Mrs. C—" Taylor covered mine as well.
"The kids have a point. Maybe you guys need to get to know each other more." My dad says.
"Spend a lot of time together." Added Mr. Cabello.
"What do you have in mind, Ale?"
"I don't mind sending Camila off to a dorm as long as she's with Lauren. Right, Sinu?"
Mrs. Cabello immediately nod her head. "Yeah, and Camila's 18 already and it's also practice for college."
"We don't mind sending Lauren off too." My mom says.
Wait, what?! Are they seriously proposing THAT?! No way! No fucking way I will live in one house with this fucking asshole!
I immediately push my sister's hand, "No, okay?! I would rather live in a house full of cockroach than to live with this asshole!"
"Lolo! Your mouth!" My sister called out, slapping my thigh.
"It's only right that you live along with your species."
"Camila!"
"Oh yeah?!"
"Aww I hurt your feelings by being blunt? Boo hoo! Maybe you should cry me a river, build me a bridge, and grow the fuck up!"
"You know what, Camila?! You are the reason why God created a middle finger! So fuck you!"
"Okay, that's it! That's enough! Starting tomorrow you two will live in one apartment. That's it. That's final."
Oh hell fucking no!

ACT 1
Alexander Hamilton
BURR
How does a bastard, orphan, son of a whore
and a Scotsman, dropped in the middle of a
forgotten spot in the Caribbean by providence,
impoverished, in squalor,
grow up to be a hero and a scholar?
LAURENS
The ten-dollar founding father without a father
got a lot farther by working a lot harder,
by being a lot smarter,
by being a self-starter,
by fourteen, they placed him in charge of a
trading charter.
JEFFERSON
And every day while slaves were being slaughtered and carted
away across the waves, he struggled and kept his guard up.
Inside, he was longing for something to be a part of,
the brother was ready to beg, steal, borrow or barter.
MADISON
Then a hurricane came, and devastation reigned,
our man saw his future drip, dripping down the drain,
put a pencil to his temple, connected it to his brain,
and he wrote his first refrain, a testament to his pain.
BURR
Well, the word got around, they said, “This kid is insane, man”
took up a collection just to send him to the mainland.
“Get your education, don’t forget from whence you came, and
the world is gonna know your name. What’s your name, man?”
HAMILTON
Alexander Hamilton.
My name is Alexander Hamilton.
And there’s a million things I haven’t done,
but just you wait, just you wait…

COMPANY
New York City.
HAMILTON
Pardon me. Are you Aaron Burr, sir?
BURR
That depends. Who’s asking?
HAMILTON
Oh, well, sure, sir,
I’m Alexander Hamilton, I’m at your service, sir.
I have been looking for you.
BURR
I’m getting nervous.
HAMILTON
Sir…
I heard your name at Princeton. I was seeking an accelerated course of study when I got sort of out of
sorts with a buddy of yours. I may have punched him. It’s a blur, sir. He handles the financials?
BURR
You punched the bursar.
HAMILTON
Yes!
I wanted to do what you did. Graduate in two, then join the revolution. He looked at me like I was stupid,
I’m not stupid.
So how’d you do it? How’d you graduate so fast?
BURR
It was my parents’ dying wish before they passed.
HAMILTON
You’re an orphan. Of course! I’m an orphan.
God, I wish there was a war!
Then we could prove that we’re worth more
than anyone bargained for…
BURR
6
Can I buy you a drink?
HAMILTON
That would be nice.
BURR
While we’re talking, let me offer you some free advice.
Talk less.
HAMILTON
What?
BURR
Smile more.
HAMILTON
Ha.
BURR
Don’t let them know what you’re against or what you’re for.
HAMILTON
You can’t be serious.
BURR
You wanna get ahead?
HAMILTON
Yes.
BURR
Fools who run their mouths off wind up dead.
LAURENS
Yo yo yo yo yo!
What time is it?
LAURENS/LAFAYETTE/MULLIGAN
Show time!
BURR
…like I said…
LAURENS

Show time! Show time! Yo!

Two pints o’ Sam Adams, but I’m workin’ on three, uh!
Those redcoats don’t want it with me!
Cuz I will pop chick-a pop these cops till I’m free!
LAFAYETTE
Oui oui, mon ami, je m’appelle Lafayette!
The Lancelot of the revolutionary set!
I came from afar just to say “Bonsoir!”
Tell the King “Casse toi!” Who’s the best?
C’est moi!
MULLIGAN
Brrrah brraaah! I am Hercules Mulligan,
Up in it, lovin’ it, yes I heard ya mother said “Come again?”
Lock up ya daughters and horses, of course
it’s hard to have intercourse over four sets of corsets…
LAURENS
No more sex, pour me another brew, son!
Let’s raise a couple more…
LAURENS/LAFAYETTE/MULLIGAN
To the revolution!
LAURENS
Well, if it ain’t the prodigy of Princeton college!
MULLIGAN
Aaron Burr!
LAURENS
Give us a verse, drop some knowledge!
BURR
Good luck with that: you’re takin’ a stand.
You spit. I’m ‘a sit. We’ll see where we land.
LAFAYETTE/MULLIGAN
Boooo!
LAURENS
Burr, the revolution’s imminent. What do you stall for?
HAMILTON
If you stand for nothing, Burr, what’ll you fall for?
i’m so invested rn omg

Maniac Cop is a 1988 American action slasher film directed by William Lustig, written by Larry Cohen, and starring Tom Atkins, Bruce Campbell, Laurene Landon, Richard Roundtree, William Smith, Robert Z'Dar, and Sheree North. Z'Dar plays the title character, a murderous ex-police officer returned from the dead, and seeks revenge on the people who wronged him.
Plot:
In New York City, a waitress on her way home is assaulted by two muggers and seeks aid from a police officer, who breaks her neck. Over the next two nights, this "Maniac Cop" commits more murders, prompting Lieutenant McCrae, who was told by his superiors to suppress eyewitness accounts that the killer was wearing a police uniform, to pass on information to a journalist, in an attempt to protect civilians. This causes panic and dissent among the city, and results in innocent patrolmen either being shot to death or avoided on the streets by people afraid of them being the Maniac Cop.
Ellen Forrest, suspecting that her husband Jack may be the Maniac Cop, follows him to a motel and catches him in bed with fellow officer Theresa Mallory. Distraught, Ellen runs out of the room, and is slain by the killer.
In the meantime, Master Hanuš looks for sculptors and carvers for the Astronomical Clock statues. He catches a glimpse of Ellen, and is interested with her natural woodcarving talent. Matthew, being the target of ridicule by other students because of his poverty, studies with Master Hanuš, too. He has gained his teacher's trust, and oversees the plans of the Astronomical Clock. Since Matthew has nowhere to sleep, he finds the Faust House in Prague, already abandoned at the time.
Thanks to his classmates' frequent ridicule, he succumbs to the lure and then picks up a grey tolar in Faust's house to pay for his classmates' drinks and fit in with his peers. However, they deceive him and destroy the plans to the Astronomical Clock while they are unguarded. The unsuspecting Matthew gives the ruined plans back to Master Hanuš. The Prague councilors discover the damaged plans, and demand punishment of the problem. Matthew is placed in a pillory for one day. Because he never knows what he did wrong, he plans to take revenge on Master Hanuš. When Master Hanuš and Jemmy complete the Astronomical Clock, they get no respect or recognition.
Mallory hides out in McCrae's apartment while he investigates Sally Noland, the only person Mallory told about her affair. McCrae follows Noland to a warehouse, where she meets with the Maniac Cop and refers to him as "Matt". Returning to police headquarters, McCrae discovers files on Matthew Cordell, an officer who was unjustly imprisoned in Sing Sing for police brutality and closing in on corruption in city hall. He was mutilated and killed in a shower room in Sing Sing by other inmates, whom he helped incarcerate.
When McCrae and Mallory visit Jack, they tell him they think Cordell is the real killer and plan to visit the chief medical examiner at Sing Sing. McCrae leaves to go to the clerical room, and he is attacked by Sally, who is convinced that Cordell is going to turn on her. After finding an officer hanging from the ceiling, Sally is beaten to death by Cordell. Hearing the commotion, Jack and Mallory leave the interrogation room and find the corpses of numerous officers strewn about the halls of the building. Mallory goes to McCrae's car while Jack searches for Cordell, who disappears after throwing McCrae out a window, killing him. Jack, who looks like the one responsible for the carnage to responding officers, flees with Mallory.
The two go to see Sing Sing's medical examiner, who admits that while he was preparing to autopsy Cordell, the officer showed faint signs of life. The examiner secretly released Cordell into Sally's care, convinced he was completely brain dead. During the 50th annual Saint Patrick's Day parade, Jack waits outside as Mallory warns Commissioner Pike and Captain Ripley about Cordell, but the two refuse to believe her and have her arrested. Cordell appears and fatally stabs Pike and Ripley, then targets Mallory, knifing the policeman left to guard her. Mallory escapes through a window, while Jack is arrested and placed in a van, which Cordell hijacks.
Mallory and another officer chase the van, which Cordell takes to his warehouse hideout. Cordell attacks Mallory and Jack, kills the other officer, and tries to escape in the van when backup arrives. Jack clings to the side of the van and fights for control of it, causing Cordell to drive into a suspended pipe, which impales him. Cordell loses control of the vehicle, which crashes into the river, and sinks. Afterwards, the van is fished out; as it is searched, Cordell's hand emerges from the water.
Cordell writes a letter to Prague councilors explaining to them that Hanuš is a traitor. The mayor entrusts the executioner of Mydlář to cut out Hanuš's eyes. Hanuš wants to take revenge for this violence, and ruins his own astronomical clock by sabotaging the gears. Jemmy, as his assistant, is commissioned to fix the astronomical clock under Katie's threat being executed if he fails to do so in time. Jemmy fixes the astronomical clock at the last minute but arrives at the gallows too late, and Katie has been hanged already.
Later in the extended version, the mayor, confident that Katie is dead, relaxes in his office. After the mayor's assistant leaves the office, Katie silently appears from behind the curtain and kills the mayor as revenge for framing her.
