What Are Men to Rocks and Mountains?

After many midterms and a weekend recharge, I am ready to get back into a more frequent posting habit (I say habit because claiming I operate by a schedule would be generous) I have big plans for this fic as well as other WIPs that I have been working on in my study breaks that I am excited to get to share!

Anyways, here is a snippet of chapter 10 of my obitine--pride and prejudice-inspired fic that I just posted--

Ch. 10: What Really Changed?

Summary: Satine realizes her true feelings. Obi-Wan misses his curfew. Qui-Gon knows more than he's letting on.

To float through dead space has a silence that is nearly maddening. Obi-Wan's body presses against the buckles of his pilot's chair, his hair hanging limply toward the ceiling thanks to the artificial gravity within the cabin. He tries not to concentrate on the blood rushing to his head-- it's times like these he wishes he managed to snag a flight suit from the Jedi pilot program. While he would like nothing more than to turn the ship back upright, he doesn't dare power up the controls.

Obi-Wan is being hunted, and right now he is stuck.

The events of the past few hours are a blur. He was intercepted on Botajef, assumingly by a bounty hunter that was conveniently in the area when he transmitted the false signal. Thanks in part to the shipyard orbiting the planet, Obi-Wan managed to evade his attacker with a series of complex maneuvers that he wishes Master Jinn was around to see-- he would certainly gain praise for his piloting abilities.

But now he drifts, many parsecs from his original position and in the midst of a large cruiser wreck.
