Itâs Even Better Than A Drama

Fandom :Â Boruto
Relationship :Â Boruto x Sarada
My #BoruSaraEmbracingTheMoment contribution for the prompt : The Bonds Begin.
Iâm sorry for the mistakes, English is not my native language. I hope you like it.
Summary : Chocho grinned from ear to ear and told to Sarada :
âYou know that in most of the dramas I watch, before they fall in love, the two heroes can't stand each other.â
Disclaimer : Boruto belongs to Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto.
AO3 / FF.NET
Chocho opened a new bag of chips. It was a new flavor that had just been come onto the market and she wanted to taste it before afternoon classes resumed. She and Sarada entered the academy building to go to their classroom. They had eaten lunch in the schoolyard, wanting to enjoy the last few days of good weather.
Usually, they talked about the new idol group or the new romance drama that Chocho had discovered or Sarada's vocation to become Hokage. Ever since she had discovered what her friend was destined for, Chocho had supported her with all her strength. She knew she would succeed and that she would be a great Hokage. Not as much as the seventh. No one could surpass the seventh. But today, the conversation revolved around Boruto. Well, it was mostly Sarada who was talking. She was so annoyed with him that Chocho had not been able to say a word.
It had started in the morning when they arrived at the academy. One of Borutoâs prank had gone wrong, ruining an inauguration his father was attending. He had hidden so he would not be caught by Shikamaru and he had asked Sarada to cover for him. After a long hesitation, she had finally agreed.
âHe's getting on my nerves ! Because of him, I had to lie to Shikamaru. And as if that wasn't enough, I had to lie to the Hokage. Can you believe it ? To the Hokage ! What will he think of me ?â
Chocho burst out laughing, unable to restrain herself any longer.
âThatâs not funny !â Sarada exclaimed. âI wanted to become his disciple. But because of his idiot son, it's over !â
Chocho stopped laughing, but she continued to smile. Sarada really did not realize anything.
âSorry,â Chocho said. âIt's just that you've been complaining about Boruto for almost an hour.â
âIâm not...â
Sarada stopped talking, realizing that she had indeed spent her lunch break talking about Boruto.
âIâm sorry, I didn't want to bother you with that.â
âIt doesn't bother me. But you're talking about Boruto a lot.â
She grinned from ear to ear.
âYou know that in most of the dramas I watch, before they fall in love, the two heroes can't stand each other.â
Sarada was about to protest violently when someone shouted :
âWatch out !â
She had barely turned around when she felt someone run into her. She and the person fell to the ground. She was out of breath because of the shock and the weight of this person. She opened her eyes and saw Boruto on top of her. She gasped in surprise and pushed him away violently. She straightened up and she saw Boruto wincing in pain. She may have put a little too much strength into pushing him away, but there was no way she would apologize.
âIdiot !â She exclaimed.
âYou're the one who didn't pay attention !â
âYou bumped into me !â
She stood up, cursing Boruto. She headed for the classroom, followed by Chocho who could not stop laughing.
âStop laughing Chocho !â
Sarada blushed as she thought about what her friend had told her earlier. Chocho tried to stopped laughing, but it was impossible. It was even better than watching a drama and she could not wait to see how Boruto and Sarada's relationship would evolve.

« Tu me crois ?

His Absence

Fandom :Â Boruto
Relationship :Â Boruto x Sarada
My #BoruSaraEmbracingTheMoment contribution for the prompt : Fear / Longing / Distance.
Iâm sorry for the mistakes, English is not my native language. I hope you like it.
Summary : Sarada screamed with all her might, feeling an overflow of emotion invade her. She fell to her knees from exhaustion. Boruto had fled the village two years ago, helped by her father. Since then, she had no news from them but it was better this way. Boruto was a fugitive and no one should know where he was.

Sarada hit the ground and a huge crater formed under her feet. She had been training for over an hour but she could not clear her head. Mitsuki had offered to train with her, but she had declined.
She could not stand anymore hearing him say that Kawaki was his sun and that he wanted to kill Boruto. She could not stand seeing the hatred of Shikadai, Inojin and all her friends every time they talked about Boruto. She could not stand Shikamaru trying to make her see reason. She could not stand hearing Himawari call Kawaki âni-sanâ and seeing the admiration in her eyes. The same admiration she had for Boruto before their world collapsed.
Sarada screamed with all her might, feeling an overflow of emotion invade her. She fell to her knees from exhaustion. Boruto had fled the village two years ago, helped by her father. Since then, she had no news from them but it was better this way. Boruto was a fugitive and no one should know where he was. She still remembered that day when he had left. She had returned home and she had fallen into her mother's arms in tears. She had told her everything, unable to keep it to herself any longer.
âDo you believe me ?â She had asked her. âDo you believe me when I tell you that Boruto did not kill the Hokage ?â
âOf course I believe you. I trust you, Sarada.â
That had reassured her. Even if no one believed her, she still had her mother's support and she knew that Boruto was safe with her father. On the other hand, she would never have imagined that his absence would be so painful and that she would miss him so much. When she thought about it, she had spent her whole life with him. Their parents were friends, they had been at the academy together, even if at that time they could not stand each other. They had been promoted to genin in the same team and he had told her that he would protect her when she would become Hokage. When they went on a mission, they knew what the other was thinking, just with one look. She had blind trust in him and she knew that it was mutual.
That's why since he left, she felt like she had lost a part of herself. As if Boruto had taken this part with him and that she would be able to get it back when he returned.
And then, there were the inhabitants of the village. She knew what they were saying about her. She was the daughter of a traitor so it was no wonder she would defend another traitor, the Hokage's assassin. Her friends and even Shikamaru, the new Hokage, tried to make her see reason, but she would never stop defending Boruto. Even if he was far away from her, even if it cost her her dream of becoming Hokage.
She stood up and went home. Her mother must have come home from work and she did not want to worry her. She looked at the statues of the Hokages.
Two years, she thought. Two years since Boruto left. She did not know when he would come back, but she would wait for him. She would always wait for him.
