OC-Tober: Day 2. Their Immediate Family
Revy has been incredibly fortunate to have a loving and supportive family, even if the first decade and a bit was a little rocky.
Born from the one night stand between Rat and Scarlet, the Gerudo pirate gave Rat their daughter to look after Revy as she still had strong ties to Adda, and felt she had to finish a war. Taking care of Revy, her father stayed in Hyrule only for a few years before adventuring out to the country of Uskar. It is here that he fell in love with the warrior Borghild, and that Revy gained both a teacher, a role model and a mother.
Rat and Borghild were instrumental in teaching Revy her values of adventure, kindness, and using strength in the service of helping others. When Scarlet first came back into Revy's life, Rat was unsure if Revy would be accepting; he was barely accepting after he felt he and his daughter were abandoned. For Revy, she could see the good heart that lied in Scarlet, and was the source that Scarlet needed to sever her connections with Adda and her crew.
With Scarlet deciding to live in Uskar, she made up for lost time quickly, dedicating herself to teaching Revy some Gerudo history, and her own skills as a warrior. It didn't take long for not only Rat to warm to Scarlet, but for Borghild to as well. The trio of parents found a love for one another, marrying into a poly marriage. For Revy, she counts herself lucky to have this strong bond of love that she's connected to. Art by https://twitter.com/s_kinnaly @s-kinnaly

change with Borghild
I can finally answer this now that I am untied from thing I was drawing.
change: Has your OC ever drastically changed their appearance? Significant haircuts, big tattoos, complete wardrobe swap, etc? Why? How do they feel about the change?
Hmm! In canon probably not (though I am not opposed to coming up with something later on), but I was thinking she might get a tattoo in a modern au. She'd think it was cool because she'd put thought into whatever she got rather than getting it on a whim.

Children's books that help with bad dreams
Mommy, Daddy, I Had a Bad Dream! by Martha Heineman Pieper and Jo Gershman
When Joey, a bouncy happy kangaroo, has a series of bad dreams, his parents lovingly help him understand them. Children will be fascinated and enlightened as Joey learns to make sense of his bad dreams and to put himself back to sleep feeling comforted and in charge
Not only does the narrative and story help to differentiate the difference between reality and fantasy the different uses of colour throughout the book used for the dream world and the real world are really interesting. I have used colour very similarly in previous projects and think this will be a good way to help me differentiate in my own work.
Brave Little Monster by Ken Baker.
BRAVE LITTLE MONSTER relates the humorous bedtime exploits of a young monster trying to go to sleep while a scary little girl hides in his closet eating ice cream and a little boy colours under his bed.
This book takes a comical approach to nightmares and trouble sleeping. It helps to keep the readers entertained and approaches the situation lightly.
Good Night, Body: Finding Calm from Head to Toe
Bedtime can be full of big emotions for kids! Calm anxious, busy thoughts with this body scan meditation designed to help kids relax and prepare for sleep. This mindfulness practice will help children let go of the worries, stress, and excitement of the day.
This book takes a very different approach, teaching kids how to remain calm when they are anxious and scared is a practice they will continue to use in life wether they realise it or not. The illustration style is a lot softer than the other books I have looked at and I feel i prefer this approach.
The illustrations I want to use in my own outcome will also be very soft, still unsure of the narrative I do know that I want the illustrations to be calming and almost have a blurred dreamlike nature.

Edvard Grieg Sigurd Jorsalfar, Suite Op 56
https://rumble.com/v1y06ng-edvard-grieg-sigurd-jorsalfar-suite-op-56.html?mref=17947j&mc=9fatg
Prague Symphony Orchestra, conductor: Vaclav Smetacek "Edvard Grieg Sigurd Jorsalfar, Suite Op. 56" is a captivating musical composition that showcases the talent and creativity of Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. Edvard Grieg, born in 1843, is widely regarded as one of Norway's greatest composers. Known for his nationalistic and romantic compositions, Grieg's music often drew inspiration from Norwegian folk traditions and landscapes. His works played a pivotal role in establishing a distinct Norwegian musical identity. "Sigurd Jorsalfar" is a three-movement symphonic suite composed by Edvard Grieg. The suite is based on the play of the same name by Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson, which tells the story of the Norwegian king Sigurd I, known as Jorsalfar or "the Crusader." a. Introduction (In the King's Hall): The suite begins with a majestic and regal introduction, evoking the atmosphere of a grand hall filled with nobility. Grieg's use of rich harmonies and grand orchestrations sets the stage for the heroic journey that unfolds throughout the suite. b. Borghild's Dream: The second movement, "Borghild's Dream," is a lyrical and introspective piece that showcases Grieg's ability to create delicate and poignant melodies. The music reflects Borghild's dream as she envisions Sigurd's triumphs and the challenges he will face on his journey. c. Homage March: The final movement, "Homage March," is a triumphant and celebratory piece. It represents Sigurd's victorious return to Norway and the homage paid to him by his subjects. Grieg's use of stirring melodies, rhythmic drive, and powerful orchestration creates a sense of pride and nationalistic fervor. "Sigurd Jorsalfar" is a prime example of Grieg's commitment to incorporating Norwegian folk elements into his compositions. Throughout the suite, Grieg weaves traditional Norwegian melodies and rhythms, infusing the music with a distinct nationalistic flavor. The result is a composition that captures the spirit and essence of Norway's cultural heritage. "Sigurd Jorsalfar" holds great significance both within Grieg's body of work and in the realm of classical music. Grieg's ability to merge elements of Norwegian folklore and nationalistic sentiments with his own unique compositional style showcases his mastery as a composer. The suite remains beloved by audiences for its evocative melodies, emotional depth, and its representation of Norway's rich cultural heritage. "Edvard Grieg Sigurd Jorsalfar, Suite Op. 56" is a testament to the brilliance and innovation of Edvard Grieg as a composer. Through this composition, Grieg successfully captures the heroic journey of Sigurd Jorsalfar, infusing the music with Norwegian folk elements and nationalistic fervor. The suite stands as a testament to Grieg's enduring legacy, showcasing his ability to create evocative melodies and transport listeners to the landscapes and traditions of Norway. "Sigurd Jorsalfar" remains a beloved and significant work within the realm of classical music, captivating audiences with its beauty and cultural significance.

has revy ever had a big big fight with her parents
One of the times Revy went on a bender, there was an attempted intervention by her parents parts. At the time, so close to the anniversary of Bomba's death, Revy didn't want to hear any positivity associated with her. The fighting resulted in her going out into the forest for three days and nights, were she sobered up by reflecting, hunting, and fighting the occasional frost one that stumbled along.

And here is our beloved mother Borghild. Her hair color is same as Leon's in this design. And her dress is not as simple as the anime one. Though Borghild couldn't show her love for her kids, she always wanted to rise them in the best way. Yet she was focused on studying so much. She was usually seen with a little book in her hand. She was educating Siegfried too. She didn't like Leon's cheerful attitude and didn't allow him to be near Sieg except for family activities. After Schröder Corp's downfall and Siegmund's disappearance, she locked herself in her room and didn't leave there for a very long time. She was barely seen in the castle. She later left the castle and stayed in her own house. Borghild's cold character comes from her past as expected. She never had a caring family and spent her whole teenage life in a boarding school. She made a marriage of convenience with Siegmund and never tasted love. Even her own children didn't make her happy. She was pessimistic, and wanted everything to be perfect. Life never let her do what she wants. But she still considered herself lucky as she was in a very good and safe place in the Schröders. Until the company ruins... That's why she forced her kids to do their best so they doesn't end up in a bad life. For her, life standards comes first and happiness comes second.
