Death road Bolivia! It was fun and exhilarating! My palms were sweaty almost the whole ride! I only fell once, which is amazing for me. Bikes and me don’t get along. What a ride!! La Paz Bolivia🇧🇴 We left the capital city as one of our last places to visit in Bolivia and we were not disappointed 😉 . FUN: La Paz has its own style and environment and with the cable car crossing over the city, it brings a unique atmosphere and fun✌ . FOOD: We could find everything here, from traditional Bolivian dishes to restaurant which is nominated between the 50 Bests restaurants in the world ( we did not go there but we know it's in the city 😁😁) . TRAVELLING: This time we did not take any tours as we decided to explore La Paz in our own speed, from Valle de la Luna to visiting the different neighborhoods, cholitas wrestling💪 and a lot of markets around. . If you are coming to Bolivia, add La Paz to your list as it has its own style and its worth to see!! . We are almost ending our trip to Bolivia, so guess where we are going next??😉 Meanwhile you know where to find us 💻https://funfoodtravelling.com #lapaz #lapazbolivia #boliviaadventure #bestcity #bolivia🇧🇴 #funfoodtravelling #viaggia #southamericatravel #awesomeplaces #awesome_earthpix #wanderluster #wanderlustaddict #travelgram #travelagain (presso La Paz, Bolivia) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7vmiH6AnZU/?igshid=mkgmdwy8wlf3

Part 4 - we came out of the trek behind an old gold mine, which lead farther down to a coca cartel protected by gates and guns. Our driver wasn't able to meet us at the arranged pick up point as guards from the cartel would not let him through. Apparently trekkers pop out here often so they don't pay much attention as we walk out the road. Walked all total on the trek around 65-75 miles. Completely exhausted at the end as we had not expected to have to walk out the last 12 miles, feet in terrible shape with blisters and sores from hiking long miles with wet feet. Made it though! Found our driver waiting patiently a couple miles outside the coca plantation, ....and then we endured the most hellacious crazy 4 hour drive along one way dirt roads back to La Paz. We had no food or water when we got picked up, we'd used every last nut and bean. We did have plenty of coca leaves prepared by our guide as marching power, though. Treating water all along the way with chlorine but it takes 4 hours for the purification process. Our guide is old school, incredibly knowledgeable but totally nuts. An American who came to Bolivia mountain climbing, fell in love with a Bolivian national, had a kid and never returned to the US. Many stories to tell, all epic. #bolivia #trekbolivia #trekkingbolivia #takesitrail #takesitrek #incatrail #trekking #boliviaadventure #southamericatrekking #trekkingsouthamerica http://ift.tt/2n8bbu6

Parque Nacional Toro Toro 🇧🇴❤️🌍 This part of our trip was totally unexpected and at the same time it was amazing❤️🌍 . FUN: We had a lot of fun the last tree days, we climbed inside of the biggest Cavern in Bolivia and walked in the middle of Canyon (Waterfall bath included) 😂😜✌️ . FOOD: In the small village Toro Toro the prices of the dishes were a bit more expensive comparing to the rest of the country but everything was tasty. We tried la Chicha drink which is a typical alcohol from the fermented corn🌽It was an interesting taste🤣 . TRAVELLING: You have to take a bus or a local minivan (trufi or surubi) to get there from Cochabamba. More or less the route is 4-6h for only 138 km 😱. If you get car sick we recommend to take a pill before💊 . We continue our journey in Bolivia, so stay tuned for more✌️You can check our last POST with the best tips for ARGENTINA🇦🇷 👍👍https://funfoodtravelling.com #boliviaadventure #bolivia🇧🇴 #boliviatravel #explorebolivia #traveladdiction #torotoro #southamericatravel #travelexperience #traveltheglobe #travels #travelbag #backpack #backpack #backpackerlife #aroundtheworld (presso Parque nacional Toro Toro) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7iuHByAGsP/?igshid=7tgfs9eetj8r
