My watercolor wall. Not seen: the Snukfin and Moomintroll painting because I might go over the lines with pen.
[Image Description: a wall of watercolor paintings I've done. There's a green dragonfly; a mountain scene; a monarch butterfly; a moon that is definitely a MOON it is Not An Egg if anyone says it's an egg their face will be smushed, on a purple background; a castle on a lake: a barn own in a green background; an orange tiger lily; a bare tree on a tan and purple background; what was supposed to be a cloudy sky meeting water but just looks like a bunch of blue with some white blotches; another bare tree this one on a plain background; a purple and green and blue and yellow galaxy with the acrylic stars sadly absorbed into the paper and looking faint; a yellow and purple sunset with a penned powerline in the foreground and grey green trees in the background; a yellow and blue sunset with pink clouds on an ocean with rocks in the distance; a blue scale forest of trees with birds flying; an orange and purple sunset on a rocky shore/tide pool thing; an orange and yellow tulip with a green outline; a blue butterfly on a blade of grass on a green background; and a sunflower on a plain background. End ID]

And on another wall is this very simple brown feather.

A Reason I’ll Be Back
A Snufkin and Moomintroll friendship playlist!
Writing my playlist so far (asked by no one lol). I am not too far in the show and I don’t know everything, but I’ve picked up on Snufkin’s mysteriousness, his need to leave every fall and return every spring, and then his super amazing and cute friendship with Moomin and...these are my favorite songs that meet that kind of happy, sweet and sad relationship they have.
January Hymn - The Decemberists /  Blue Sky - The Allman Brothers /  Buffalo Ghost - Edie Brickell / Keeping Me Awake - Tarkio /  Blackbird - Sharon Shannon /  Me and the Moon - Gaelic Storm /  Semi-True Story - Jimmy Buffett /  This Way - Depaepe  /  Gentle Awakening - Scott Huckabay /  North - Phoenix /  June Hymn - The Decemberists /  No Ceiling - Eddie Vedder
1. January Hymn - The Decemberists
April all an ocean away Is this the better way to spend the day? Keeping the winter at bay What were the words I meant to say before you left? When I could see your breath lead where you were going to
2. Blue Sky - The Allman Brothers
Walk along the river, sweet lullaby, it just keeps on flowing, It don't worry 'bout where it's going, no, no. Don't fly, mister blue bird, I'm just walking down the road, Early morning sunshine tells me all I need to know
3. Buffalo Ghost - Edie Brickell
Every night stars fall like rain, so bright through the pale moonlight It almost cause you pain Like a beautiful dream that you keep in your heart A beautiful dream asleep in your heart
4. Keeping Me Awake - Tarkio
It's been keeping me awake Leaving this behind Was my first mistake And I'm not so strong To be satisfied by all the things I've done By the things it threw away Summer, it fell And it coursed across the highlands And so quickly gone
5. Blackbird - Sharon Shannon
6. Me and the Moon - Gaelic Storm
A' quarter to three, we're feeling fine, when the sun comes up I'm gonna miss my friend moonshine
(just fun imagery, love the forest party. Coffee is a brew, right?)
7. Semi-True Story - Jimmy Buffett
Well, the things that I've lived And I've dreamed and I've seen and I've heard You take the good with the bad And be glad to have every word
It's a semi-true story, believe it or not I made up a few things and there's some I forgot. But the life and the tellin' are both real to me And they run like the rain, all the way to the sea
8. This Way - Depaepe
9. Gentle Awakening - Scott Huckabay
10. North - Phoenix
11. June Hymn - The Decemberists
And years from now When this old light isn't ambling anymore Will I bring myself to write? I give my best to Springville Hill
12. No Ceiling - Eddie Vedder
Moving on, a scene surreal I know my heart will never, will never be far from here
Sure as I'm breathing, sure as I'm sad I'll keep this wisdom in my flesh I'll leave here believing more than I had And there's a reason I'll be, a reason I'll be back
As I walk the hemisphere I got my wish to up and disappear I've been wounded I've been healed
Sure as I'm breathing, sure as I'm sad I'll keep this wisdom in my flesh I'll leave here believing more than I had This love has got No ceiling

10 Questions Tag Game (Again)
Whee~  Tagged by @electricarmchair
1. Which do you do more often, read or write? Write.  But only because life won’t give me the chance to read.  Last time I got really into a series (the Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb, suggested by @ellenya) my parents ‘borrowed’ the second and third book before I even got to them.  So yeah, my daily writing wins.
2. What’s your favourite colour? Octarine!  A less imaginary answer would be that I like lots of colours (pink, purple, blue, gray, green) but the ones with amazing names will always have a place in my heart— Isabella/Isabelline, Prussian Blue, Ultramarine, Tyrian Purple, Burnt Umber, etc
3. What’s your favourite book? Ahh, I couldn’t pick!  Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series is always near the top of the list, same with many books by Haruki Murakami.  I’m also a huge fan of comic books like Calvin & Hobbes and Krazy Kat.  I grew up reading Lloyd Alexander, Moomintrolls, Redwall and Susan Cooper.
4. What would your perfect writing environment look like? Most places I’m not.  Seriously, I’m my main impediment for writing.  I wouldn’t mind a small cozy room that’s tidy and VERY FAR AWAY FROM MY MESSY REAL LIFE.  Somewhere I can legit forget dirty dishes, laundry piles, unattended bills or people suffering.
5. Do you believe in aliens? Yes.  But they’re either single-celled things blorping around some desolate moon or just as screwed up as us and they definitely haven’t been anywhere near here.
6. What was the last thing you had to drink? Weak iced tea.  I drink a lot of mild/dilute iced tea in lieu of water.  Last alcoholic thing I had was a small glass of red wine.  I drink energy drinks everyday because I’m into extreme sports and a bro.  Well I’m not, but I still drink energy drinks every day...
7. What was the last movie you watched? Dark Knight was free to watch and I was eating dinner.  I miss Heath Ledger more than I should.
8. Pen and paper, or computer/phone to write with for the rest of your life? Computer.  It makes research while writing really seamless, though same can be said for distractions.  It is also worth mentioning that my handwriting is crime against humanity.  I have some physical problems with my hands which tend to make me grip writing implements like they’ve been dropped in lube, so I cramp up really fast.  Long written tests were a nightmare for me.
9. Do you talk to yourself? Inside my head or outside?  The answer is yes either way...  I also sing myself happy songs when I’m in a good mood.
10.  What time is it right now? 1503349554 (GMT)

This drawing is really lovely, with colours gently contrasting and moving together in delicate lines, the lineless art working perfectly for the feel of the painting. It feature Too-Ticky sitting on a blue bridge, her red, blue and yellow colour scheme working well with the scenario around her. There is a large, slightly yellow full moon behind her, surrounding her figure. Moomintroll stands on the river bank, holding a red and yellow candle, working with Too-Ticky’s colour scheme, and helping it be more of a general art thing rather than looking out of place on just her. All in all, it’s a lovely piece of art, and I like the feel of it.
Tumblr media
2
I like the detail of this piece. There is lots of fine lines, lining out dozens of beautiful flowers and every fold in their clothes. It brings so much detail to the piece, suiting the style and the general feel to it. The level of detail truely is amazing, honestly. The colours suit well with the piece, showing what is in the distance (the city, in true sunlight colours) and what is up close (the flowers and figures, which are in shadow)
Tumblr media
3
I like the look of this drawing, with the solid ink lines, varying in thickness. I like how the artist changed the consistency of the lines to show depth and shadow, helping to bring a better feel of the drawing and what it represents. The artist drew a very detailed pattern on the floor which helps to level the drawing out with the ink-heavy wave and the thick black clothes the characters are wearing. It has a nice balance of detailed and blank space, enough for your eyes to be drawn to the characters and the wave first before taking in the other details.
Tumblr media
4
This piece of art gives off the same strange aura as most fairy pieces do, with the large cat being ridden like a horse and a rather messy collection of musical instruments on what appears to be a music stand, where you pay money to watch them play themselves, a rather common thing. I like how this painting looks, with the colours all working well together to get a very regal feel. The delicate shading and general lack of lighting feel works for this piece quite well.
Tumblr media
5
This drawing is all in greyscale, so you can tell where the shading is properly. Without an actual colour scheme, you can see very clearly where things are in reference to the viewer, able to tell that the house is off in the distance and the girl is right in front of the viewer, shadowed by the trees and lack of distance. I like the detail put in, and the fact that you can see the little pen marks, giving the piece texture and a sketchy feel.
