I’d like to think this scene gave Rin some closure and eased some of the guilt he felt over his and father fujimoto’s fight right before his death. and i’d like to think that later on, while Rin was growing up, father fujimoto thought he looked quite similar to that white haired boy that once visited him— to where he realized wait, that may have actually been Rin from the future.

And maybe it’s delulu of me to think that this adds another layer to their relationship— that because of this interaction, father fujimoto knew exactly how Rin felt, despite what Rin may have said otherwise.

So we finally have a few more answers regarding Shemi and her family.

She was being trained but a demon killed her father and she lost her memory. I really want to know how it happened or what demon kin it was. If she lost her memory, could it have been a time kin demon then?

Also Rin and Shemi actually had a heart to heart discussion about each other. She called Rin out about helping people to his detriment. I know Yukio called Rin out on this earlier but i think Shemi saying it directly that she hates it will help Rin understand it more. Rin called Shemi out wanting to be help people or feeling useless. Izumo pointed this out but like Rin and Yukio fighting, having Rin saying he hates it is more clear.

Now for the main part where all the RinxShemi people loved lol

I like that it was Rin getting insecure about what she said, so she actually had to come out with her feelings instead of waiting till after the war is done. It really shows that they are still kids in a war. He got embarrassed that she didn't want to touch him because she had no issues with it before and is now hurt. Shemi doesn't wat to touch him because she's actually aware of her feelings lol. Also Yukio and Izumo just watching because they already know is so funny.

The chapter ending with her freaking out is honestly really funny

So here Kato says something like: “Actually, Mephisto loves magic and is practicing secretly.”

But here she explains: “Even when he occasionally succeeds, Mephisto is disappointed because people think he did it with magic. (I think she means his demonic powers)”

So Meph, the King of Time and Space, loves magic tricks but usually fails at them which is so funny and cute. Like the one thing that comes naturally to him he has trouble doing by human means. But when he DOES succeed in magic tricks everyone thinks he cheated using his powers LMAO! Shiro’s disbelief and Meph’s angry face are just so amazing 🤣 💖 I love fun lore like this
