Blue Tea Market Growth & Trends
The global blue tea market size is expected to reach USD 180.2 million by 2030, expanding at a CAGR of 5.9% from 2024 to 2030, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc. The market is propelled by the growing awareness of health and wellness benefits linked to butterfly pea tea. Rich in antioxidants like anthocyanins, blue tea helps combat oxidative stress and inflammation, making it a popular choice for health-conscious consumers. The potential cognitive benefits, including improved memory and reduced anxiety, further enhance its appeal. As the emphasis on health and functional beverages continues to rise, the demand for blue tea is expected to follow suit.
Consumer interest in natural and visually striking products is another key driver. The vibrant blue color of butterfly pea tea, which can turn purple with the addition of acidic substances such as lemon, makes it a unique and appealing option in the beverage market. This characteristic not only attracts consumers looking for Instagram-worthy drinks but also those seeking innovative and exotic flavors. The versatility of blue tea in culinary applications, from cocktails to desserts, adds to its growing popularity.
The trend toward sustainability and organic products also supports the blue tea market. Many consumers prefer products that are organically grown and free from synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. Organic blue tea fits well within this trend, appealing to eco-conscious buyers. Additionally, certifications like USDA Organic and Fair Trade further bolster consumer trust and drive demand.
Innovation in product formulations and applications is a significant trend in the market. Manufacturers are exploring new ways to incorporate blue tea into various products, including ready-to-drink beverages, herbal blends, and dietary supplements. The use of blue tea in mixology and culinary arts is also gaining traction, with chefs and bartenders creating visually stunning and flavorful dishes and drinks.
The rise of e-commerce and digital platforms has expanded the accessibility of blue tea products. Online retail channels allow consumers to easily purchase and explore a wide range of blue tea offerings. This trend is particularly important for niche products like butterfly pea tea, as it enables small and specialty brands to reach a global audience.
Another trend is the growing popularity of wellness and mindfulness practices, which align with the consumption of blue tea. Consumers are increasingly looking for beverages that offer more than just refreshment, seeking products that contribute to their overall well-being. Blue tea, with its calming properties and health benefits, fits well within this trend, making it a favored choice among those pursuing holistic health.
Collaborations and partnerships are also shaping the blue tea market. Brands are teaming up with influencers, chefs, and health experts to promote blue tea through various channels. These collaborations help increase awareness and credibility, driving consumer interest and market growth.

one night (fruit) stand — bnha, todoroki shouto x gn!reader, fluff, "love" as a pet name, fruit puns sorry, pro heroes, aged up, no quirks mentioned for reader, 2.2k words
written for andie's pretty boy summer collab!
Tumblr media
"This is for you."
The low, measured tone is a welcome respite from the joyful chaos of the farmer's market, but you balk as you look up from a basket of oranges — straight into the eyes of your one night stand.
"Wait," you say. Your brow wrinkles. The man — tall, ridiculously handsome, way out of your league — merely blinks his dichromatic eyes and lowers his hand slightly. He sets the cold can of milk tea on the table and reaches up to tilt his bucket hat a little further up his head, revealing a shock of red and white hair that looks vaguely familiar. But that's not the only thing — "You have the same bucket hat as one of our regulars. But he said it was exclusive."
"I do have the hat," the hottest guy in the world says. "I'm Todoroki Shouto. Do you remember me?"
You feel the flush burn in your cheeks and up the back of your neck as hazy memories from last night leap unbidden to your mind. There was the warm buzz of alcohol in your veins — the intimate, cozy izakaya — a flash of a charming smile and mesmerizing dichromatic eyes — your quietly giddy giggling as you twined your arms around a smooth neck to stretch up on tiptoes for a kiss — stumbling into a door, tripping over shoes in the genkan, wrapping your legs around a trim waist as your partner groaned into your mouth —
Of course you fucking remember Todoroki Shouto. That was the best night of your entire life, and he was the cause of it. But why is he standing at your farmer's market stall looking like the world's hottest model for bucket hats?
You left his beautifully rumpled bed this morning way before dawn, yanking your clothes back on and mourning the loss of his strong body curled up around your own, positive you'd never see him again. You know for a fact that he doesn't have your number or any contact info.
But now he's here. At your farmer's market stall. Wearing a disconcertingly familiar bucket hat.
Maybe it's one of those new trends? You don't keep up with heroes and wouldn't recognize their branding if it smacked you in the face, but at the very least you know that when a hero starts rising in the rankings, their merch starts popping up more and more often. The hat looks like it could be one of those — it's a solid black with orange on the inside (that clashes terribly with Shouto's hair, except he still looks unfairly good), a thin line of orange along the edge, and an embroidered… grenade… patch centered in the middle.
Why anyone would walk around wearing a grenade bucket hat, you don't know, but if it's hero merch then it makes more sense. So Shouto must be a fan of this rising hero — a huge fan, to get an exclusive hat like this, but — wait, he's staring at you and gosh, his blue and gray eyes are so gorgeous and when his lips quirk in that little lopsided smile your heart feels dangerously like it'll leap out of your chest.
"I take it you remember me," he says, still in that even tone but with an edge of laughter this time.
Your face heats even more and your hands clench around the basket of oranges. "Sorry, sorry," you clear your throat. "I just… wasn't expecting you."
Shouto nudges the can of milk tea closer to you. "I wanted to see you again," he says carefully. You glance at the can and blink. It's your favorite drink to pick up from vending machines. Did that come up last night?
"And you came here to… give me a drink?"
He nods. A light breeze ruffles the collar of his shirt. His smile tugs a little bit higher on his handsome face.
Well, then. That smile is dangerous.
Shouto waits patiently as you get called to deliver the basket of oranges you're clutching for dear life. He hovers at the side of your stall, looking woefully out of place in his bucket hat and crisp, clean clothes. You can feel a streak of dirt along your cheek and your clothes are all dusty, but every time you glance back at him, he's looking at you steadily and completely unabashedly.
It's embarrassing, but you can't deny the little thrill that shoots to your toes every time you meet his gaze. "Todoroki-san, you really don't need to wait here," you say, slipping back to him during another lull in customers. "Thank you for the milk tea, though! It's my favorite."
Shouto blinks slowly as he observes you. The scrutiny does nothing to help your nerves — it takes two tries to pop the can open, and Shouto looks endlessly amused the whole time. "I would like to wait for you," he says. A pause. You bring the can up to your lips for a sip. "And you may call me Shouto. I appreciated the way you said it last night."
You choke on your drink.
The way you said it last night — gasping into his ear, moaning into his steadily fraying kisses — oh, jeez. "Ah, fuck," you blurt out, eyes widening with horror at the stray flecks of tea you've splattered on his shirt.
"It is alright," Shouto says. He pats at the small spots delicately with his sleeve and then seems to deem it unimportant. You blink as he looks up at you from beneath messy bangs. "Are you feeling… well?"
What a question. What a look. Does he know how lethally attractive he is? You take a very careful sip of your drink. "I'm… sore."
Shouto hums in response and carefully begins rolling up the sleeves of his button up. You watch, mesmerized, as the corded muscles of his forearms and biceps flex with the sure movement. You take a slow sip of your drink with wide eyes as he finishes and sets his hands on his hips. "Let me help."
Jeez, the shoulders on this guy. You can't help staring at the breadth of him as he comes around the table and into your space. A breeze of minty cool air washes over you with the movement and suddenly your brain catches what he's said.
"W-wait, Todoroki-san," you yelp, setting your can down and reaching for him. He continues bending for the large crate by your feet, hefting it up with barely any effort at all, and you're caught standing there holding onto the edge of his shirt. "Todoroki-san, you don't need to help!"
"Call me Shouto," he says. You gape up at him uselessly. "I would not want you to injure yourself because I made you sore."
"I — you — Todoroki-san," you huff, tugging even harder on his shirt. Shouto pouts and moves to bring the crate to the small truck parked behind your stall. You're forced to follow him, wary of accidentally messing up his shirt even more, though you feel a little dazed with his pout etching itself into your brain.
"This goes here?" Shouto asks. You nod wordlessly, still processing the cutest fucking pout you've ever seen on a grown man. "Would you like to hold my hand instead, love?"
Whoa, what?
Shouto sets the crate in place and dusts off his hands before reaching down to very gently detach your death grip on his shirt. You should get your hearing checked. You're clearly hearing things, because the hottest man you've seen in your entire life couldn't have possibly just called you 'love'.
"Love?" you repeat.
Shouto's lithe fingers squeeze around yours briefly. "Would you prefer a different pet name? I recall you mentioning that you liked that one."
You snap your jaw shut. "I… did…" you say slowly. But you said that to your regular, the other bucket hat wearer, the guy who always came wearing a face mask for pollen and dark sunglasses and that exact same bucket hat that you've… never seen anywhere else…
Several things fall into place at once. You stare up at Shouto with slowly mounting horror.
"Todoroki-san, are you… Helpless Produce Guy?"
Shouto laughs. Oh. Oh, you're so stupid. That's the laugh that's plagued your dreams every day for months as you've nursed your silly crush on the worst grocery shopper you've known. "So that is what you call me."
"I've never met someone more hopeless about buying fruit and vegetables," you say blankly. "I remember teaching you how to choose carrots the other day. I can't believe this. I've been teaching you how to pick watermelon for ages and I never knew your name or face. Just that bucket hat."
"Oi, Icyhot," a rough voice suddenly speaks up from behind the two of you, and you spin around to find yourself face to face with a spiky blonde guy who is undoubtedly a hero if the huge, bulky muscles are any indication. He's wearing a face mask and sunglasses, but he's got several reusable tote bags stuffed to the brim with leafy greens and potatoes and apples hanging off his arms.
"If you don't finish flirting with your new partner soon, I'm not gonna teach you how to make my famous curry recipe," the newcomer says. Shouto seems unfazed, simply tugging you closer with your intertwined hands. "Didn'tcha say you wanted to impress 'em?"
"I believe they are impressed," Shouto says evenly, glancing down at you with the ghost of a smile flitting across his lips. "I am helping because they are sore."
It's just the slightest emphasis on "sore", but it makes you itch to kiss that stupidly handsome smug smile off his face. "I'm fine," you say.
"Gross," the other man says decisively. You snort as he spins around and stomps off to look at a particularly enticing basket of celery stalks.
"Sorry, Todoroki-san, I promise I don't call you 'Helpless Produce Guy' that often," you say.
Shouto squeezes your hand. Warmth tingles up your arm and melts your heart into giddy mush. "I don't forgive you." You gape at him. He tugs you a little closer. "I will not forgive you until you agree to call me by my name."
Is he serious? The slight wrinkle in his brow makes you think… yes.
"That's… I don't know if I can," you blush.
Shouto hums. "Then you may call me your 'boyfriend' until I can remind you how to say my name."
Holy moly. This guy.
"Alright, boyfriend," you cannot say it without ducking your head. Almost immediately, his long fingers tip your chin back up. "Are you secretly a five star gourmet chef and you've just been acting like you've never seen a basket of strawberries before?"
Shouto cracks a tiny grin that pierces your heart. "I assure you, the produce help was invaluable. However, I frequent your stall the most because I find you… lovely."
Oh, dear.
"I do not wish for our relationship to remain limited to your stall at the farmer's market," he continues, as if he isn't blowing your mind with every word out of his perfect mouth. "Hence, why I could not help but approach you when I realized we were both at that izakaya last night."
"And you… knew it was me. Even though I didn't have my work apron."
"You were telling your friends about Helpless Produce Guy," Shouto says drily. "I had a feeling I knew the subject — but yes, I would recognize you anywhere."
"Jeez, Shouto," you breathe. Those dichromatic eyes widen a fraction before narrowing as you take a step closer to him. "I didn't realize… where are your sunglasses and mask?"
He pats the front pocket of his button down assuredly. "I am prepared."
You cast a quick glance around. Your coworkers are handling the stall well, and fruits are practically flying off the shelves as Shouto's friend gives a lecture to a captive audience about the importance of fresh fruits and vegetables in a healthy diet. The two of you are tucked out of view, mostly hidden behind the truck.
"And this…" you gesture between the two of you with your free hand. "We're… dating?"
Shouto nods solemnly, but there's a sparkle in his eyes. "Yes, my love. You make my heart beat berry fast."
Your lips twitch before you can help it. "No."
"I think we make a good pear," he says. "I find you very a-peel-ing."
You burst into giggles and Shouto tugs you into his firm chest. The sturdy, steadily increasing heartbeat beneath your ear isn't quite loud enough to drown out your own rapidly leaping pulse.
"If you were a fruit you'd be a fineapple," he says into your ear. You shudder lightly at the low, even tone but snort at his deadpan delivery, soft as it is. "Is this okay? You said once that you liked these puns."
"I do," you nod. "And I'd love to date you. Since you have a peach of my heart."
"Good," he murmurs. You tip your head up to look at him and beam at the gentle blush rising on his cheeks. Shouto leans down to press a careful kiss to your lips, drawing back after a moment with a shaky breath. "I was running out of lines."
"Don't you mean you were running out of limes?" you snicker.
Shouto stares. And then, still with that soft, deadpan tone — "Every day with you will be mangonificent."

there is so much fucking Lore about kendall in the first few eps (coming Purely from everything we know about rava and from his attempts as ceo) that I feel get. dismissed most of the time. or maybe I am an insane man reading tea-leaves like "wow this is actually incredible kendall characterisation"
like. he isn't positioned as being "blue", but. he is, isn't he. his marriage with rava was probably almost entirely based on the promise of "well, let's wait it (logan's bullshit) out for a bit and then when I take over it's gonna be butterflies and rainbows". they adopt a brown child. they are clearly raising iverson with a level of awareness of his asd that signifies a level of involvement in progressive politics (with the important caveat of them both being hyper-priveleged one percenters). kenrava were out there thinking they were brangelina.
and! ken may not fucking say that he hates waystar, but. he fucking does, doesn't he??? he sees the company as old and feeble and near absolete and, well, logan is right to be scared that kendall will fucking sell the company from under him because kendall KIND OF WANTS TO. because if you are a capitalist that sees an old haunted house you fucking demolish it to build a parking lot. like, he talks about waystar being bloated and ancient and unadaptive and well. BRINGING IN STEWY IS NOT ONLY A MATTER OF NEEDING MONEY AND BEING DICKMATIZED. kendall would "force a boardseat on him for the optics" and what Are the optics of bringing a private equity shark onto the board of a company you have described as the fucking TITANIC??? s1 kendall may be fucking delusional about his ability to revitalize waystar (which. Is a sinking ship. from the pure market perspective), but he isn't incompetent. he has a good understanding of the problems the company has, he has a good understanding of the trends of the market, in the same way he sees the issues logan has, both as a father and as a businessman. and he feels like it is his sacred right to inherit the waystar and make it a hyper digital diversified company of the new age (tm), which would be against logan's will, but that's unimportant, because kendall is the second coming of christ and the inheritor of everything good about logan and the sacred flame that gets rid of everything bad about logan. there is this level of insane capitalist myth making going on in his head that makes him believe that making waystar more Progressive will make it more Profitable and vice versa, so they are basically the Same Thing, right? in his mind racism is bad because it's outdated and unappealing to younger demos. if shiv thinks that she can through her enlightened understanding of politics make waystar work for Her Ideals, bringing about a better world of girlbossing and moderate republican nominees, kendall dreams of a perfect centrist company existing in a perfect centrist utopia, where they make a bajillion dollars globally without committing politically or financially to anything other than being Liked. kendall is a neolib, at his core.

Character Spotlight: Worf
By Ames
Tumblr media
It’s an honorable week here on A Star to Steer Her By because we’re shining our character spotlight on the show’s first Klingon main character, Worf, Son of Mogh! He’s also the first specifically main cast member to span two different series (sorry, O’Brien), so we’ve got glimpses from both The Next Generation and its films and also Deep Space Nine to cover. Worf might get the most time of any character to truly develop, growing from the guy who gets thrown across the room by the baddie of the week into the complex warrior who, for just a moment, wears the robes of the Chancellor of the Klingon High Council. Go Worf!
So put on your baldric, grab your bat’leth, and top off your mug of bloodwine as we give Worf all the honor he deserves (which every so often, isn’t very much, but other times is a lot!). Read on for the commendable battles below and listen to our death yells over on this week’s podcast (fight your way to 55:39). Today is a good day to die.
Best moments
Tumblr media
Bloodwine is red / Andorians are blue… While we gave Dr. Pulaski lots of props for whipping up an antidote so she could participate in Worf’s version of a tea party, it’s also just lovely that Worf honors her by performing the ceremony in the first place in “Up the Long Ladder.” Deep down under the head ridges and scowl, Worf is just a poetry-reading, tea-sipping teddy bear and we love it.
Tumblr media
Klingon paper dolls Star Trek characters jump at any opportunity to play dress up, and we get a good instance of that in “The Emissary” when Worf and K’Ehleyr put on their warrior garb to trick a crew of Klingons in cryostasis into thinking they represent the Klingon Empire. As always, this episode gets some extra points for featuring K’Ehleyr, and it turns out Worf’s pretty good at improvisation too.
Tumblr media
We have bonded and our families are stronger While we’re certainly going to give Worf some shit for how badly he parents his biological son, his connection with Jeremy Aster in “The Bonding” is actually quite beautiful for the both of them. Each an orphan, they are able to form a familial-type relationship together, and it’s really touching when Worf invites Jeremy to join him in the R'uustai that will bond them as brothers.
Tumblr media
He has claimed the right of vengeance A trend emerged in our Best Worf Moments when they tended to fall into the “killing the fuck out of some jerk who deserves it” category, and the first to really deserve it is Duras in “Reunion.” Duras has been begging to get murdered since we first heard his contemptible name, but when he killed Worf’s mate in cold blood, Worf knew exactly what he had to do with his bat'leth.
Tumblr media
You may now give birth Despite the fact that it resulted in adding a baby to the cast (blech), we have to give some credit to Worf for delivering the O’Brien baby in “Disaster” in a way that only he could. We’d need a whole additional blogpost for all the great Worf one-liners throughout the two series, as Michael Dorn’s delivery is always gold, but “Push, Keiko, push” has got to be pretty high up there.
Tumblr media
Doesn’t gik’tal mean to the death? Worf sees so much potential in Sito Jaxa in “Lower Decks” and spends most of the episode arguing on her behalf for a promotion. So when we see Worf testing her with the made-up gik’tal martial arts to teach her to stick up for herself, we can’t help but see in her just what Worf sees. Ya know, until Picard totally gets her killed.
Tumblr media
Assimilate this! Sure, it’s a soundbite-y line designed to be marketable in the trailer, but when Worf survives getting his EV suit punctured by tying it off with some Borg bits and then blows up the interplexing beacon in First Contact, it just feels right. Maybe it’s that Michael Dorn can get away with cheesy lines like “Assimilate this!” or maybe we just love watching Borg explode.
Tumblr media
If you were any other man, I would kill you where you stand While the movies are mostly showcases for Picard and Data, First Contact gives some great moments to the other castmembers. Worf’s standoff with Picard is nothing short of chilling. Borg are overrunning the ship and Picard orders Worf and his security team to what is almost certain to be their deaths. Lucky for us, Worf doesn’t actually mutiny, just threatens to a little bit.
Tumblr media
And in this corner… While we spent most of The Next Generation watching Worf getting knocked around as shorthand for “the alien threat is strong,” by Deep Space Nine, we don’t really get that anymore and instead he actually gets to kick some ass! In “By Inferno's Light,” Worf is forced to battle Jem’Hadar after Jem’Hadar in the fighting ring, and he refuses to quit even when he has every right to.
Tumblr media
Help me fight again, Worf You’ll see in a second that sometimes when Worf tries to help another Klingon die with honor, things can get complicated, but when Kor asks for help going out in the warrior fashion, Worf is totally a good guy about it. He gets the old legend a place on Martok’s ship in “Once More Unto the Breach” even though it’s not Martok’s favorite thing, but in the end, Sto’Vo’kor gains a new warrior.
Tumblr media
Seven down, one to go We still have more “killing the fuck out of some jerk who deserves it” mentions to bring up! What list would be complete without the murder of at least one Weyoun on it? In this case, Worf straight up snaps the neck of Weyoun 7 in “Strange Bedfellows” when he has the opportunity and it is a thing of such beauty that it gains Damar’s respect.
Tumblr media
What I have done was for the Empire Finally, our last jerk who needed to get killed the fuck out of is that bastard Gowron in “Tacking into the Wind.” Gowron was going around making terrible decisions, rewriting the history books, and trying to get Martok killed in various ways, and Worf finally has enough and kills him in honorable combat. He gets the cloak of the Chancellor for it but selflessly passes it to Martok, like an absolute boss.
Worst moments
Tumblr media
I would rather die than pollute my body with Klingon filth While Geordi is putting racism aside to be able to coexist with his new BFF Bochra in “The Enemy,” Worf takes the opposite path. By refusing to let Crusher give his blood to Patahk, Worf condemns the injured Romulan to death just because of his race. And then the show takes some of the guilt off Worf by having Patahk refuse treatment anyway, leaving Worf’s hands clean, I guess.
Tumblr media
This is not unlike a drumhead trial Worf is also quick to fall in line with Admiral Satie’s Red Scare of a trial against crewman Tarses in “The Drumhead.” He gets so infatuated with dispensing justice that he jumps past “innocent until proven guilty” and determines that Tarses is guilty of treason because he’d lied about his alien heritage, when the two things aren’t even related.
Tumblr media
Would you further dishonor our family with your disobedience? It’s a running joke in the Star Trek community that Worf is a terrible father and… well, he is. To his defense, he did have Alexander sprung on him when K’Ehleyr died in “Reunion,” and he did try to pawn the little brat off on the Rozhenkos, but that was a terrible move too. So when we watch how clueless he is trying to parent in “New Ground,” we cringe hard at how Worf just doesn’t get it.
Tumblr media
Donkey Kong: 1. Worf: 0. A lot of Worf’s decisions about how to deal with his paraplegia in “Ethics” are complicated and problematic, but the way he ended up in such a state is what we’re really here to roast him on. My dude got bitched by a big blue plastic barrel in the cargo bay, and that is downright dishonorable for a Klingon warrior. Battle, sure. Explosion, fine. Spat with Spot, of course. But not blue barrel!
Tumblr media
How could your mother mate with a Romulan? Worf’s prejudice against Romulans comes out again in “Birthright” when he learns that Ba’el is half Romulan and he starts spouting racist accusations at her when he’s already seen what kind of a person she is, and even what kind of person her father is. Since his father’s death at Khitomer, it’s a long road for Worf to accept that all Romulans are not that same, and it’s unclear if he ever gets there.
Tumblr media
Tell him he is a pretty cat and a good cat All your hosts here at A Star to Steer Her By are ride-or-die cat people, so when Worf refuses to tell Spot he’s a good cat and a pretty cat in “Phantasms” when Data asks him to look after the feline, we take it super personally. Frankly, Data should have looked elsewhere for someone to catsit because what’s supposed to be a humorous moment in the show just makes us angry at Worf. Hiss!
Tumblr media
I believe the Ferengi bartender is plotting something By the time Worf joins Deep Space Nine, his racism against Romulans doesn’t come up, but his racism against the Ferengi sure does. Ever since “Hippocratic Oath,” Worf refuses to call Quark by name, instead calling him “The Ferengi bartender.” We joke sometimes on the podcast that the only race it’s okay to be racist against is the Ferengi, but you know what? It’s really not okay.
Tumblr media
My life is in your hands Sure, we can argue that Kurn coming to Worf for the Klingon rite of Mauk-to’Vor in “Sons of Mogh” is messed up and puts Worf in a tough position, but Worf manages to pick an even worse outcome for his brother. Instead of killing him and sending Kurn to Sto’Vo’kor with his honor intact, Worf does the least honorable thing and has Bashir wipe Kurn’s memory. Without Kurn’s consent! Eeesh.
Tumblr media
Everything you do reflects on me There were a bunch of times during DS9 that we really thought Jadzia could do better than having Worf as her mate, and “Let He Who Is Without Sin” is the chief offender. Worf starts the episode arguing about Jadzia consorting with other men even though she’s with him now, gets jealous of the Dax’s previous relationships, and generally poopoo’s Jadzia’s streak of individuality like a toxic boyfriend.
Tumblr media
Have you accepted Kahless as your lord and savior? And that’s not even the worst thing Worf does in the abysmal episode “Let He Who Is Without Sin.” He spends the rest of their vacation on Risa palling around with the New Essentialists who’ve decided that people enjoying things is bad form, which is just Worf being petty. So when he goes out of his way to help them literally rain on everyone’s parade, it’s super damaging to his character.
Tumblr media
I do not know you, nor do I wish to know you After Jadzia’s death, Worf utterly fails as grieving in a healthy, productive way and instead opts to take it out on Ezri during “Afterimage.” Just because she’s not Jadzia, Worf treats the poor Trill with disdain, ignoring the fact that she too is living through the trauma of being joined to the symbiont. None of this is her fault! Don’t yell at the innocent cupcake!
Tumblr media
If it looks like a Dax and it quacks like a Dax… Worf and Jadzia had chemistry like whoa and we were here for it. Worf and Ezri… just don’t. So when they bump uglies in “Penumbra,” we just find it kinda gross and distasteful. My dude, that is not your wife anymore, and she’s in a very vulnerable state having had the Dax symbiont thrust upon her, so it strikes us as kind of problematic that they go to the bone zone (and I don’t mean Worf’s calisthenics program).
Qapla’! Now that we’ve got our honor back, take the R'uustai with us and subscribe so that you can see our next batch of character spotlights as we segue smoothly into our crewmates from Deep Space Nine! On the flip side, you can listen along to our dishonorable rewatch of Enterprise over on SoundCloud or wherever you podcast, challenge us to a bat’leth fight on Facebook and Twitter, and join us for some good tea in a nice house.

Twst characters and perfume
But First! Fun facts related to fragrance:
Smell and memories are deeply linked. Scent and emotions are also deeply linked.
How you smell has an impact on if others see you as a stranger, family, or a potential partner ;)
Fragrances smell different depending on who wears it. Everyone has a skin chemistry that interacts uniquely with the scent molecules.
Headcanons by dorm:
Heartslabyul
Might have weird rules about fragrance, idk. Dorm smells faintly of roses, tea, and whatever's baking in the kitchen.
Riddle: Probably still follows a hygiene routine set by his mom.
Would wear/smell like: roses, tea, the library. Hermes Hermessence Rose Ikebana + Demeter Paperback
Would enjoy: fruit and gourmand fragrances, the things he couldn't have as a child :'(
Trey: Bakes things so often he semi-permanently smells like cake. Makes people hungry just by walking by.
Would wear/smell like: freshly baked cookies or bakery- sugar, butter, and vanilla. Les Senteurs Gourmandes Vanille De La Réunion
Would enjoy: gourmand scents and florals, especially violet. Van Cleef & Arpels Orchidee Vanille
Cater: Vague interest based on whats trending on Magicam, but also just in it for the pretty bottles (same). Not sure if his dislike of sweets extends to smell?
Would wear/smell like: any nice soap and hand cream with fancy packaging. Also anything trendy, like Le Labo Rose 31
Would enjoy: not sweet scents? Mint, pepper, spicy colognes
Deuce: Keeps clean, but probably isn't picky about what he smells like.
Would wear/smell like: Axe/Old Spice? Soap/aftershave, sometimes metal and motor oil. Comme des Garcons Serpentine
Would enjoy: new car/Magicwheel smell, whatever reminds him of his mom :')
Ace: Probably does not care much but gets used bottles/recommendations from his brother (chicks dig this cologne, dude!)
Would wear/smell like: Axe/Old Spice lol. Whatever's popular.. Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue
Would enjoy: hmm not sure. Fruit fragrances, cherry?
Savannaclaw
Since they're beastmen they would likely not enjoy strong scents, and have preferences based on animal species. Dorm smells like dry hay, woods, eucalyptus.
Leona: Has straight up sniffed people and will do it again. Might comment on others smelling bad but wouldn't care about himself. Probably has a lot of unopened bottles, sent to him by family and the royal perfumers.
Would wear/smell like: warm fur, leather, animalics. Amouage Overture Man/ Bvlgari Man in Black
Would enjoy: Calvin Klein Obsession. Whatever suits his lion fancy, idk?
Ruggie: Would balk at the thought of buying perfume. Who cares as long as you're clean?
Would wear/smell like: warm fur, grass, the Good laundry detergent (courtesy of Leona). Demeter Kitten Fur :3
Would enjoy: gourmand fragrances, might make him hungry though.
Jack: Doesn't care about himself, as long as he’s clean. Sensitive to ambient smells, as per his vignette.
Would wear/smell like: warm fur, animalics. Also probably the gym but shhh
Would enjoy: forest scent- pine trees smells like home. Also pears. Serge Lutens Fille en Aiguilles
Octavinelle
I wonder if their sense of smell changes based on if they're transformed? Did the air smell different when they first came on land? Does the ocean smell like home? Many questions here. Dorm smells cool and clean - water, cucumber, calones, ex. Zoologist Seahorse.
Azul: Likely has different perfumes based on occasion and audience, and knows the psychological effects of scent as a marketing tactic. Usually goes for iconic, recognizable scents with an established brand (like Chanel).
Would wear/smell like: ink, books, and tea from the long hours of studying. Alkemia Book of Shadows
Would enjoy: tbh not sure, gourmand scents?
Jade: Aware of fragrance mostly through tea. Not sure if he would personally be interested.
Would wear/smell like: moss and teas, due to the terrarium and tea hobbies. Creed Silver Mountain Water
Would enjoy: tea, forest/mountain scents. Definitely Demeter Mushroom
Floyd: Generally unpredictable, doesn't care until he does lol. Will also straight up sniff you and comment on it
Would wear/smell like: Axe/Old Spice just to annoy Azul. Sprays something just to wash it off 10 minutes later.
Would enjoy: whatever strikes his fancy at the moment. I think something from Etat Libre d'Orange would keep him entertained.
Scarabia
Room fragrance delivered monthly, courtesy of Al-Asim family. Dorm smells like spices, oud, and clay.
Kalim: Family has many dedicated advisors and perfumers. May prefer strong, intense fragrances.
Would wear/smell like: cashmere, warm spices, amber. Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540
Would enjoy: coconut, scents that remind him of parties and vacations. Paco Rabanne 1 Million Parfum
Jamil: Keeps clean but generally indifferent. Smells faintly like whatever Kalim is wearing.
Would wear/smell like: hair products, spices from making food. Versace Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir
Would enjoy: tbh not sure? Dry fruit and spices might smell like home, but I can also see him enjoying scents that feel like an escape from his usual life.
Pommefiore
Likely has some sort of fragrance in every room. Fights have broken out because of perfume.
Vil: Blends his own, of course. Knows the industry well, has connections and access to rare ingredients.
Would wear/smell like: depends on the occasion. I feel like he would wear fragrance to get in character.
Would enjoy: scents reminiscent of his father's cologne. Vintage/classics like Guerlain Jicky.
Rook: Prefers not to wear anything himself for better camouflage. Likely has a sharp sense of smell that rivals beastmen.
Would wear/smell like: suede, leather, grass. Tom Ford Tuscan Leather.
Would enjoy: can appreciate any scent. Waxes poetic until Vil drags him away from the perfume counter.
Epel: Forced to wear Vil's recommendations to fit a cute image, rip.
Would wear/smell like: Axe/Old Spice lol, but only away from Vil. Spraying habits that disgust and horrify the entirety of Pommefiore. Casualties: 2 dead 17 injured.
Would enjoy: "manly" scents, but also apple/apple blossom remind him of home. 4160 Tuesdays Up The Apples & Pears
Ignihyde
Cares the least about fragrances overall. Dorm smells synthetic, concrete and metal.
Idia: Only interested if it's related to an idol/anime. Has the 5 in 1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash/toothpaste/machine oil
Would wear/smell like: Baja Blast and Dorito dust. Strong tea and energy drinks from pulling all nighters. Jacques Zolty Severo
Would enjoy: tbh not sure.. Plastic, metal, and cleaning spray remind him of home.
Ortho: Curious about how people are affected by fragrance. Could probably make something for you on the spot.
Would wear/smell like: something airy and light, metal and synthetics. Demeter New Car (lol)
Would enjoy: Not sure if he has a sensor for that? Whatever his brother likes I guess.
Diasomnia
Not sure if fairies have a different sense of smell? Dorm would smell like moss, stone/earthy notes
Malleus: As the centuries change so do the smells of things (I think). Rarely finds anything that smells nostalgic.
Would wear/smell like: moss, earth and petrichor from wandering around old buildings. CB I Hate Perfume M2 Black March
Would enjoy: tbh not sure.. Sorry Tsunotaro :(
Lilia: Fascinated by all the new stuff molecular chemistry is coming up with. Remembers when they were simply called scented waters.
Would wear/smell like: something that's been produced for a long time, a classic. 4711 Original Eau de Cologne/Zoologist Bat just because of the name
Would enjoy: anything new and crazy, but also nostalgic scents, if they even still exist for him...
Silver: Has tried smelling salts to wake up, they do not work.
Would wear/smell like: herbs, grass, white florals. Disney princess vibe but a little wilder. Amouage Reflection Man
Would enjoy: forest scents, fruits and florals remind him of childhood. Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Toit.
Sebek: Keeps clean but also probably not picky, might complain of smelling too human though.
Would wear/smell like: sharp, clean, hair wax and aftershave. Gotta look good for Malleus! Penhaligon's Sartorial.
Would enjoy: anything Malleus likes. Medicinal/cleaning spray scents remind him of home.
Resources:
Fragrantica perfumes by note (very fun to look through, especially the synthetics section)
Now Smell This FAQ
The Scent of Desire by Rachel Herz (all the psychology stuff)
Personal opinions and disclaimers:
I have not personally sniffed any of these perfumes so I'm going off the descriptions and reviews on Fragrantica. I have also not read all of the characters vignettes so these might not reflect canon. IMHO how you smell is a reflection of how you live day to day, and what perfume/cologne you choose is a reflection of what you like and how you want others to perceive you. So I've split this into two parts:
Would wear/smell like = what scent they think represents them/what would rub off on them based on environment/lifestyle
Would enjoy = mostly based off of what smells familiar to them + other guesses

I do agree the genre was never dead, but it's strange when someone's like "actually there's a lot of this around" and it's always like ten shows over the course of the last ten years and some of them aren't actually magical girl shows (Shy had magical girl vibes but it's very firmly presenting and marketing iitself as a Western-style-superhero show. and is one).
I do think it's GREAT that you spread awareness about that these anime, though!
When people are talking about the subgenre Madoka is in, they're also generally thinking magical girl warriors, not majokko series like Little Witch. And I think it's also okay to be mad there isn't a lot of anime when that's the medium that's most talked about online, even if there is more manga. When people complain about this kind of thing, I don't think they should have to put a million asterisks.
But again, I do agree it was never dead, and things have been changing positively lately! Demon Girl Next Door is great and we got an absolute WAVE of great magical girl anime this season. We haven't see a Madoka-rip off anime in quite a while so I think that trend is dying, so maybe the next big dark magical girl thing we get won't be mindlessly hyping a trend and actually have something to say.
Recs not mentioned in the OP: If magical girl adjacent stuff like SHY counts, I'd say give Healer Girl a look, it's very cute. Also for another majokko series, The Stories of the Girls Who Couldn't Become Magicians is airing this season and Witch Hat Atelier is upcoming. Some past mg stuff OP didn't mention that I haven't seen yet is Blue Reflection Ray and Girl in Twilight, might be not on here bc they might be darker but didn't seem like Madoka-alikes. They're on my list.
Anyway, thanks for the list, reblogging it for followers. I'm gonna note which of the list I think is good and I think is bad since I imagine a lot of followers share my taste
Great: Demon Girl Next Door, Flip Flappers (warning for some disquieting fanservice stuff infrequently), Little Witch Academia, Acro Trip so far, Magilumiere
Good/interesting: Artistwitch. Definitely variable and weird but it's interesting and experimental and worth a watch.
Bad: Urahara (SO boring), The Magical Girl and Lieutenant (no disrespect to the recently passed mangaka, but the mg was too moe-ified, and I heard there was a lot of SA jokes after I dropped it, NOT my thing, but it does look pretty)
Not Seen But Not interested: I've Had Enough of Being a Magical Girl makes me viscerally uncomfortable just from the image, looks like pedo bait, Six Hearts Princess also has a pedo bait design for one of them to the point it had to be censored on someone's Youtube and apparently produced only 7 eps in six years, Magia Wars...doesn't seem to exist anymore? google isn't finding it...I think I might have watched that one and it was too boring to keep up with though..Fantasista Doll...oh they're LITERALLY dolls...robots...they have masters...no.
Interested and Might check out:
Kuromajo- jeez we really are going back ten years...it's a 7 minute ep one. more of a witch show but I might check it out.
Somehow never heard of Matoi the Sacred Slayer! Potentially work checking out,
Magical Girl Kurumi: we really are scraping the barrel here budget wise, this is barely animated, not great proof the genre was thriving but yeah looks fine might check it out.
Mewkledreamy: ah it's a sanrio thing. Looks cute but probably not my cup of tea. Worth checking out
Magical Girl Aiko: it's a short, that's why nobody picked it up. The R+ rating is slightly alarming but I am curious now.
I should note the reason many of these series weren't talked about is they were never picked up for liscencing, which isn't any audience's fault.
Tumblr media
and I didn't even include magical boy anime (which isn't as rare as some people think)
look. a subgenre going in a direction you don't like for a while doesn't make it "dead". reboots, sequels, prequels, and stuff like that are the trend in all sorts of media, not just magical girl anime.
also, there are all sorts of cool magical girl works that aren't anime, and i don't just mean manga and light novels. there's live-action stuff, VNs, webcomics, written works, cartoons from countries other than japan...
and guess what? i'm not against dark magical girl stuff by any means. madoka magica was what got me into magical girl stuff in the first place! i love all sorts of magical girl media, both light and dark, though i don't claim to be an expert by any means. there's still so much stuff i haven't watched/read/played...
anyway, the anime listed here include Artiswitch, Kuromajo-san ga Tooru, Little Witch Academia, Fantasista Doll, Magia Wars, SHY, Hina Logi: From Luck and Logic, Matoi the Sacred Slayer, I've Had Enough of Being a Magical Girl, Urahara, Flip Flappers, Six Hearts Princess, Magical Girl Kurumi, The Demon Girl Next Door, and Mewkledreamy. The upcoming ones are Magical Girl Aiko, Princess Session Orchestra, Acro Trip, Magilumiere, The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to be Enemies, and an unnamed magical girl anime from Studio Pierrot

Exploring the World through Cultural Travel Experiences
Tumblr media
In an increasingly connected world, travelers are seeking more meaningful ways to experience new destinations. Cultural travel experiences have emerged as a significant trend, offering a deeper understanding of the world’s diverse cultures, traditions, and histories. This article explores the importance and impact of cultural travel, highlighting key destinations and activities that provide enriching experiences.
Understanding Cultural Travel
Cultural travel is about immersing oneself in the local culture of a destination. This type of travel goes beyond sightseeing and involves engaging with the traditions, lifestyles, and histories of the people who live there. It provides a chance to learn about different ways of life and to appreciate the world’s rich cultural diversity. By choosing cultural travel, visitors contribute to preserving cultural heritage and supporting local communities.
Key Destinations for Cultural Travel
1. Kyoto, Japan
Kyoto, the cultural heart of Japan, offers an array of experiences that highlight the country’s traditional arts and customs. Visitors can participate in a tea ceremony, explore ancient temples, and attend traditional festivals like Gion Matsuri. The city’s well-preserved architecture and gardens provide a glimpse into Japan’s imperial past.
2. Cusco, Peru
As the gateway to Machu Picchu, Cusco is steeped in Incan history and Spanish colonial influence. Travelers can explore the ruins of Sacsayhuamán, visit the vibrant San Pedro market, and learn about Andean traditions and crafts. The annual Inti Raymi festival, celebrating the Incan sun god, offers a unique cultural experience.

Day Trip to Shenzhen 2024
Lying next to our city just across a river, Shenzhen has recently become a new place of interest for quite a few Hong Kong people looking for leisure and entertainment. It seems to be a trend that more and more local residents are willing to spend time and money to visit this bustling city in southeastern China. For many Hong Kong citizens, having a half-day trip across the border to this neighbor city has become a way to escape from their fast-paced life or an excuse to get together with their friends and relatives.
As two cities gradually integrate into a single market, the travelling time has been reduced by half on specific routes. It is really convenient to travel to Shenzhen from Hong Kong by either trains or buses. With the help of the automated immigration clearance system, the border crossing procedures are simpler and faster than before. Most passengers can complete all customs and border clearance procedures within half an hour. When you pass the border and enter Shenzhen, there is a metro station connecting visitors to the rest of the city.
On a sunny Sunday in late September, I organized a day trip to Shenzhen with two friends of mine. Jervis is a social worker employed by a public hospital authority. He mainly works in Hong Kong, so he only comes to Shenzhen once in a blue moon; Working for a local private auditing firm as an accountant, Lung hardly ever has the chance to go to mainland China except for work reasons. Both of them would like to do some shopping and have fine dining together with learning more about the current consumer market development in China. For that reason, we decided to spend a half-day to explore two mega shopping plazas in Shenzhen.
Over the past several years, high-end shopping malls in Shenzhen have sprung up like mushrooms after a rain. Among the many shopping centres found in the city, Shenzhen Uniwalk is undeniably the biggest and the most popular one. Upon our arrival, we started looking for something to eat since we were way too starving. Tao Tao Ju is a traditional Chinese restaurant serving a wide variety of mouthwatering authentic Canton delicacies. We ordered two main courses and two dim sums for our lunch. As I am not used to eating spicy food, fat beef in sour soup was too tangy for me to eat in large amounts. I only tasted a little bit and left the rest for my friends. Seafood fish fans in clay pot was not that special compared to similar cuisine that we can find in most restaurants in Hong Kong. Both garlic chives dumplings and prawn rice noodle rolls were delectable and visually stunning.
Although the quality of the food was acceptable, air conditioning facility was far from satisfactory. We were sweating throughout the meal, especially when we were eating spicy food. A young waitress was considerate enough to offer each of us a free plastic fan along with free iced lemon tea. The service of this tea house was way too better than that of many other diners in Hong Kong. Additionally, this restaurant provided excellent value for money, making it an affordable option for those on a budget.
After having lunch, we paid a visit to a large bookstore in the mall. Crowned the most beautiful bookstore of the year 2017, Reading Mi is a must-go spot for book lovers if you visit this shopping mall. Besides reading materials, you can find an array of exquisite products, including stationery, trinkets and even children's toys. It is not so much a bookshop as it is a small department store. It is absolutely an unmissable site for book enthusiasts.
Since Shenzhen Uniwalk is mainly targeted on female shoppers and youngsters, my friends and I were surely not interested in hanging around the rest of the mall. After buying some cold drinks in the food court on the ground floor, we took the metro heading to our next destination.
Late in the afternoon, we reached another great place for shopping and dining. Conveniently located above the metro station Xiasha, KK One is a prestigious shopping arcade with the theme of young and fashionable trends. With a construction area of approximately 100,000 square metres and five floors, this modern complex is full of well-known international brands as well as unique local chain stores. What caught my attention the most was not the high-end boutiques, but an elegant bookstore with a decoration style of vintage London. Once stepping into the bookstore, you felt like entering a magical world resembling to the story of Harry Potter. Sisyphe is a locale where readers can enjoy a cup of tasty coffee while reading their favorite books under a comfortable environment. Among the many shops in the mall, I think this bookstore is worth a drop in.
Just before nightfall, my friends suggested to have an early dinner since we would not want to come back home too late. Upon reaching the top floor of the mall, a restaurant decorated in traditional palace style immediately came into our view. It was a newly renovated barbecue eatery serving variety of authentic Korean grilled meat. The interior of the diner was furbished in customary Korean style with a main color tone of brick red. Some gorgeous lifelike pink cherry blossom trees adorned the restaurant, creating an atmosphere of warmth and intimacy.
A young pretty waitress in apron directed us to a booth with a barbecue grill in the middle of our table. Our waitress patiently introduced all the popular dishes on the menu and guided us to make the payment through cell phone app. The most surprising thing was that we did not need to roast the meat ourselves because the waitress would serve the grilled food with side dishes right at our table. The restaurant also provided an assortment of dipping sauces and condiments to enhance the flavor of the grilled meat. Try wrapping the grilled meat in fresh lettuce leaves with side dishes which creates a fulfilling and satisfying bite. The thinly sliced marinated beef was succulent and tender, marinated very well with barbecue flavor. It was like a culinary masterpiece that left me craving more.
Not only did the Korean BBQ restaurant offer me a flavorsome meal but also a unique dining experience. Equipped with well-functioning air conditioning, customers can enjoy palatable food in a cozy setting even on dog days. The meal was good value for money and the service was fabulous. It is a fantastic place to spend quality time with friends and families. I will without a doubt return to this restaurant if I get another opportunity to visit Shenzhen again in the future.
To sum up, the trip to Shenzhen this autumn was fruitful and memorable. Both of the shopping complexes mentioned above offer an ideal fusion of dining, shopping and cultural experiences, leaving a lasting impression on all visitors. The city’s accessibility, affordability and authenticity make it an attractive destination for Hong Kong residents seeking to relax themselves during weekends and holidays.

Malt Beverages Market Size To Reach $1,300.60 Billion By 2030
The global malt beverages market size is expected to reach USD 1,300.60 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 7.9% from 2024 to 2030, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc. Since the 1990s, flavored malt beverages (FMBs) have evolved significantly from pioneers like Mike's Hard Lemonade and Zima, which introduced the concept of neutral malt base (NMB) to create a sweeter and more approachable alternative to traditional beer and spirits. This innovation has led to the growth of a dynamic and diverse category that continues to captivate consumers. The category now includes various types of malt beverages such as traditional beer, hard seltzers, hard teas, hard sodas, and ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails, each offering unique flavor profiles that cater to a wide range of preferences. This variety has played a crucial role in maintaining the relevance and popularity of FMBs among a broad audience.
One of the key trends propelling the demand for FMBs  is the growing consumer preference for healthier ingredients and lower-calorie options. Hard seltzers, for instance, have gained immense popularity by marketing themselves as "Better For You" products, often highlighting their lower calorie and carbohydrate content compared to traditional beers. This shift towards healthier alternatives is reflective of broader health and wellness trends influencing the beverage industry. Additionally, the convenience factor of RTD cocktails and other FMBs aligns well with the modern consumer's fast-paced lifestyle, offering a quick and easy way to enjoy a flavorful alcoholic beverage without the need for extensive preparation.
The global beer market is experiencing robust growth, with a significant surge in the popularity of craft beer, driven by millennials and Gen Z. Independent breweries are leading innovation, offering diverse flavors and styles. This trend bodes well for malt beverages, as the demand for unique, high-quality, and locally crafted options rises. Large beer manufacturers are expanding their portfolios through strategic acquisitions, catering to evolving consumer preferences. The craft beer movement's emphasis on variety and quality is expected to bolster the overall demand for malt beverages in the coming years.
The rising popularity of non-alcoholic beer presents a significant growth opportunity for the malt beverages market. As more consumers embrace healthier lifestyles and the "sober curious" movement, both craft and macro-breweries are expanding their non-alcoholic offerings. This shift reflects an increasing demand for diverse, high-quality malt beverages that cater to those seeking the social experience of beer without alcohol. The growing popularity of non-alcoholic beer is opening new opportunities in the malt beverages market. Prominent players like Molson Coors with Blue Moon, Diageo with Guinness, Constellation Brands with Corona, Heineken, and AB InBev with Bud Zero are entering this segment , showcasing a strong market shift. The category in the U.S. now has around 150 non-alcoholic U.S. brands, reflecting its solid footing and expansion.
In July 2024, Athletic Brewing Company, a notable non-alcoholic brewery in the U.S., secured USD 50 million in an equity financing round spearheaded by General Atlantic, a top global growth investor, along with several existing investors. Athletic intends to utilize the new funds to foster sustained long-term growth, which includes acquiring a third brewing facility in the U.S. and expanding its non-alcoholic beer presence in retailers worldwide.

Malt Beverages Market Report Highlights
Alcoholic malt beverages accounted for a significant share of the market in 2023. These are in demand due to the consistent trend of premiumization within the beer industry, where consumers are willing to trade up for higher-end, limited-release products. This willingness to invest in premium offerings, combined with a shift back towards affordable light beers from RTD consumers, is bolstering the popularity of malt beverages.
Demand for non-alcoholic malt beverages is expected to grow rapidly from 2024 to 2030 as more breweries introduce premium no-alcohol options. Growing consumer interest in these beverages, particularly at higher price points, drives this trend.
The market for hard seltzer is expected to rise rapidly from 2024 to 2030. This is due to its appeal to health-conscious consumers seeking low-calorie, refreshing beverages with a lower alcohol content. Additionally, the product's broad, gender-neutral marketing strategy and alignment with wellness trends and lifestyle experiences drive its popularity.
Sales of malt beverages through on-trade channels accounted for the majority of the market share in 2023.This channel, which includes pubs, bars, and restaurants, is significant because it provides a social environment where consumers can enjoy drinks responsibly, fostering a sense of community and enhancing the cultural experience of beer consumption.
The Asia Pacific malt beverages market is expected to grow rapidly from 2024 to 2030. This is due to the growing popularity of premium and imported beers, especially among younger consumers. This trend is driven by an increasing interest in diverse and niche flavors, with global brewers expanding their presence to capitalize on the region's evolving tastes.

The Influence of K-Beauty on Hair Trends
The world of beauty is constantly evolving, with trends emerging from different corners of the globe. One of the most significant influences in recent years has been the rise of K-Beauty, which encompasses skincare, makeup, and hair trends originating from South Korea. K-Beauty has captured the attention of beauty enthusiasts worldwide, and its impact on hair trends is particularly noteworthy. Let's explore how K-Beauty is shaping the way we style our hair in 2024.
1. Glass Hair: The Ultimate Sleek Look
One of the most iconic hair trends to emerge from K-Beauty is glass hair. This style is characterized by its incredibly smooth, shiny, and reflective finish, resembling the surface of glass. Achieving this look involves meticulous hair care, including the use of high-quality hair serums, straighteners, and regular trims to maintain the hair's health. Glass hair is a testament to the K-Beauty philosophy of striving for perfection and attention to detail.
2. Blunt Bobs and Lobs
Blunt bobs and long bobs (lobs) have become increasingly popular, thanks to their chic and modern appeal. These styles offer a versatile look that can be tailored to suit different face shapes and personal styles. Influenced by K-Beauty, these cuts often feature sleek lines and minimal layering, creating a polished and sophisticated appearance. Blunt bobs and lobs are perfect for those who want a low-maintenance yet stylish haircut.
3. Soft Waves and Natural Texture
While sleek and straight hair is a staple in K-Beauty, there's also a strong emphasis on embracing natural texture. Soft waves and loosely curled hair are favored for their effortless and feminine look. Achieving these styles often involves minimal heat styling and the use of lightweight products that enhance the hair's natural movement. This trend aligns with the K-Beauty principle of enhancing one's natural beauty rather than completely transforming it.
4. Pastel and Vibrant Hair Colors
K-Beauty is known for its bold and playful approach to color, and this extends to hair trends as well. Pastel shades like lavender, pink, and mint green, as well as vibrant hues like electric blue and fiery red, have gained popularity. These eye-catching colors are often achieved through innovative dyeing techniques and high-quality, nourishing hair products that minimize damage. The result is hair that not only looks stunning but also feels healthy and strong.
5. Curtain Bangs and Face-Framing Layers
Curtain bangs, which gently frame the face and part down the middle, have become a favorite among K-Beauty enthusiasts. Paired with face-framing layers, this style adds dimension and softness to the hair. It's a versatile look that works well with both straight and wavy hair, making it accessible to a wide range of individuals. The popularity of curtain bangs reflects the K-Beauty emphasis on creating flattering, natural looks that enhance one's features.
6. Hair Accessories Galore
K-Beauty is also known for its love of accessories, and this trend has made its way into hair styling. Hairpins, barrettes, headbands, and scrunchies are used to add a touch of personality and flair to everyday hairstyles. These accessories are often adorned with pearls, crystals, and other embellishments, transforming simple hairstyles into eye-catching looks. The use of accessories allows for creative expression and adds a playful element to hair styling.
7. Innovative Hair Care Products
Behind every great hairstyle is a solid hair care routine, and K-Beauty has introduced a plethora of innovative products to the market. From scalp treatments and hair masks to leave-in conditioners and serums, these products focus on maintaining the health and vitality of the hair. Ingredients like fermented rice water, green tea, and camellia oil are commonly used for their nourishing and strengthening properties. The emphasis on hair care reflects the holistic approach of K-Beauty, where healthy hair is the foundation of beautiful styling.
8. Music Festival Hairstyles
Music festivals have become a platform for showcasing bold and creative hairstyles, and K-Beauty trends have a significant influence in this arena. From space buns adorned with glitter to intricate braids interwoven with colorful threads, festival-goers are embracing the playful and experimental spirit of K-Beauty. These hairstyles not only make a statement but also allow individuals to express their unique style and creativity in a vibrant and energetic setting.
Conclusion
The influence of K-Beauty on hair trends is undeniable, offering a blend of sleek, sophisticated styles and playful, experimental looks. Whether it's the polished finish of glass hair, the natural texture of soft waves, or the vibrant hues of pastel colors, K-Beauty continues to inspire and shape the way we approach hair styling. As we move through 2024, these trends remind us that beauty is not just about following the latest fads but also about embracing individuality and enhancing our natural features.

Unveiling the Charm of Girls Party Dresses Wholesale in the UK
In the vibrant world of children's fashion, few items are as delightful and enchanting as girls' party dresses. From fairy-tale weddings to festive birthday bashes, these dresses bring joy and sparkle to every occasion. For retailers and boutique owners in the UK, the demand for high-quality, stylish party dresses for girls is ever-increasing. This is where the concept of wholesale purchasing becomes a game-changer. Let's delve into why sourcing girls' party dresses wholesale in the UK is a brilliant business move and explore the latest trends dominating the market.
Tumblr media
The Advantages of Wholesale Purchasing
Cost-Effectiveness
One of the primary benefits of buying girls' party dresses wholesale is the significant cost savings. Wholesale suppliers offer bulk prices that are considerably lower than retail rates. This allows retailers to mark up prices competitively while maintaining healthy profit margins. For businesses looking to expand their inventory without breaking the bank, wholesale purchasing is an ideal solution.
Wide Selection
Wholesale suppliers typically offer a broad array of designs, sizes, and colors. This variety ensures that retailers can cater to diverse customer preferences, from classic and elegant gowns to modern and playful frocks. The ability to stock a wide range of styles helps attract a broader customer base, boosting sales and customer loyalty.
Consistent Quality
Reputable wholesale suppliers in the UK maintain high standards of quality. This consistency is crucial for building a trusted brand. By partnering with reliable wholesalers, retailers can ensure that every dress they sell meets their customers' expectations for both style and durability. This reliability fosters repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals.
Trends in Girls Party Dresses
Fashion is ever-evolving, and staying abreast of current trends is vital for any retailer. Here are some of the latest trends in girls' party dresses that are captivating the UK market:
Sustainable Fashion
Sustainability has become a significant focus in the fashion industry, including children's wear. Parents are increasingly seeking eco-friendly options for their children. Dresses made from organic cotton, recycled materials, and other sustainable fabrics are in high demand. Retailers that stock eco-conscious party dresses not only cater to this growing market but also enhance their brand's reputation as socially responsible.
Pastel Perfection
Pastel colors are a perennial favorite for girls' party dresses. Soft hues like blush pink, lavender, mint green, and baby blue create an ethereal and charming look. These colors are versatile and suitable for various occasions, from weddings to tea parties. Dresses in these shades often feature delicate embellishments like lace, tulle, and floral appliqués, adding to their appeal.
Sparkle and Shine
Nothing says "party" quite like a touch of sparkle. Sequins, glitter, and metallic fabrics are trending in girls' party dresses. These elements add a festive flair and are perfect for special occasions. Whether it's a fully sequined bodice or a subtle shimmer in the skirt, dresses that shine are sure to make any little girl feel like a princess.
Vintage-Inspired Designs
Nostalgia is a powerful trend in fashion, and vintage-inspired girls' party dresses are making a comeback. Think 1950s swing dresses, Victorian lace details, and flapper-style fringe. These timeless designs evoke a sense of classic elegance and are popular among parents looking for unique and sophisticated options for their children.
Finding the Right Wholesale Supplier
Choosing the right wholesale supplier is crucial for ensuring a successful retail operation. Here are some tips for finding reliable suppliers of girls' party dresses in the UK:
Research and Reviews
Conduct thorough research to find reputable wholesalers. Look for reviews and testimonials from other retailers to gauge the quality and reliability of the supplier. Positive feedback from satisfied customers is a good indicator of a trustworthy wholesaler.
Sample Orders
Before committing to a large order, request samples from potential suppliers. This allows you to assess the quality of the dresses firsthand. Pay attention to the fabric, stitching, and overall finish to ensure they meet your standards.
Competitive Pricing
Compare prices from different wholesalers to ensure you're getting the best deal. However, be wary of prices that seem too good to be true, as they may indicate lower quality. Striking a balance between cost and quality is key.
Customer Service
Good customer service is essential in any business relationship. Choose suppliers who are responsive, transparent, and willing to address any concerns or issues promptly. Excellent communication can make the difference between a smooth transaction and a frustrating experience.
Conclusion
Investing in girls' party dresses wholesale in UK is a savvy move for retailers looking to capitalize on this thriving market. The advantages of cost-effectiveness, variety, and consistent quality make wholesale purchasing an attractive option. By staying updated with the latest fashion trends and selecting reliable suppliers, retailers can ensure they offer beautiful, high-quality dresses that delight both children and parents. As the demand for charming and stylish party dresses continues to grow, wholesale purchasing positions retailers to meet this demand effectively and profitably.

Love Is
Somewhere between Disney and acne we are led to believe that love is a constantly shiny thing, that it must be unrelentingly romantic and sexy and full of passion and purple prose. Of course there are moments, especially in the courtship days when we work extra hard at being our best selves in an effort to be desirable. Its a mating game as old as forever and unlikely to change in spite of dating apps. Its fed by the marketing trends of the day as we become convinced that we must cover our natural selves in deceptive augmentations that cost a bundle and are soon yesterday's news. Don't get me wrong, I did my share of blow-dry styling, body scents, and boots shined to mirrors. It was fun to play the part, be obvious in the flirt, laugh through deliberate double-entendres. Lust was luscious.
Part of the privilege of getting older is letting go of the clutter on all levels. Its not a lack of effort to let things be simpler, it's self-awareness and self-preservation. I love to dance but the volume in public places means I cannot hear you when you speak , and frankly I know you have things to say. I am in your company because I enjoy who you are and I chose you to share the dance with me. Whooping it up at a wedding is one thing, but I can't do the clubs just for the sake of a night out. I did my time.
I'd rather go for a walk, maybe hold hands, and look at the sky together.
I love you in your faded jeans with a bit of bed-head and a deep sigh when you take your first sip of morning tea.
I love to have that tea brewing because I am usually up first.
Love is clean fresh flannel sheets on a cold Winter's night. Its putting seeds into the soil and topping up the washer fluid in your car. Its knowing when to shut up. Its eye-rolling from across the aisle at the grocery store when the poor kid at the cash register has never been properly taught how to make change. Its enduring the oldies radio station on Sunday mornings and still missing Stuart McLean's Vinyl Cafe.
Love is being safe in one of you making some decisions for two. Love is reminding me that yoga pants and slippers are really not fit public attire even for the gas station. Love is allowing one another to play to their strengths and being the best cheerleader when it comes to admitting and fixing mistakes as well as celebrating the victories. Love is understanding that time apart is still love.
You want to get my interest? Ask me to dance in the living room, apropos of nothing. Ask me to stand beside you when you do something that scares you. Let me hold you when you're not even sure what's making you feel blue. Laugh at your own jokes...that makes me remember how nuts I am about you because you don't hold back in your quirks. Remind me tactfully when its time to get a haircut. Trust me to drive while you knit socks in the passenger seat.
Love is a long game where the goal posts are apt to shift along with age and bumps in the turf and worrisome side-liners. Its also forgiveness for forgetfulness, and the magnetism of shared memory.
Love is one dessert and two forks.
