I’ve been on a roll!

I actually posted a drawing of her as I think my first post ever. It was her character sheet. Let’s chat about my OC’s backstory!

In the world she’s in, almost the whole world is inhabitable because of dangerous monsters so it’s shrouded in mystery. Still, humans managed to live because they live in domes(working on names) made of a very strong, see through material. These domes are scattered, and since it’s so dangerous to do anything outside including building almost no dome is connected to another.

Now, where does my OC come in? She’s an experiment. Despite the dangers of the outside, the government of some domes still make buildings outside for secret projects and such. It’s not like they’re risking they’re life. One such facility was a lab for people born with inhuman characteristics such as my OC which they called 004, among other creatures. Her number is printed on her hip. She doesn’t know where she’s from, and the scientists sewed her mouth shut with metal to avoid the noise she would make during experiments.

She has really good regenerative abilities, so the experiments got brutal. She has a missing finger because at one point it was cut off so much that her regeneration simply failed her. That same reason is the reason she’s littered in unhealed scars. The thing the scientists were most intrigued by was her blood. It’s golden and glows but they couldn’t identify the property her blood is made from. All of this lead to severe and crippling anxiety on her part.

Then one day, as they where doing a blood extraction, she got stressed out and her blood exploded everywhere. Not just the blood being currently extracted, but all of it that was being stored. It all hardened into spikes, destroying the lab and killing almost everyone and everything inside. Turns out, she can control her own blood, and the ability unlocked at the worst possible time. She has unusual amounts of blood in her, so she has a lot to use.

In the rubble, she found another experiment who had suffered life threatening injuries. They became friends, but the friend only lasted a day before she died too with all the others. This will probably haunt her the rest of her life, but can you really call it an OC without severely traumatizing them?

After being chased by monsters, she found a dome. On rare occasions the domes get holes from the monsters, but they’re almost immediately fixed and dealt with. 004 stumbled upon a recent hole as she was being chased. Inside is a criminal gang, that after some decision making, promises, and fighting, take her in. In the picture I drew she’s playing with her blood while the gang is chilling out off screen.

The agreement to keep her was that she would help out with their work at times. They renamed her Jericho. The dome she’s in is basically a surveillance state. Everywhere has cameras, almost everyone has detailed documentation on them, and there’s constant patrol among other things. That’s why a few of them felt it would be wrong to let her fend for herself, and basically sentence her to death by patrols. A lot of outlaws are disabled people who were shunned due to people thinking they look like monsters from the outside. The government quickly becomes aware of her presence in the dome and she’s being hunted. She wears a radio mask on her head when out in the open to hide herself.

I haven’t rlly figured out too much about what she would be doing inside the dome, but that’s the general info on her. Hope it wasn’t too long! Have a good morning, day, or night! 😊♥️

The Evermore Grimoire: Molecular Powers

Hematokinesis is the power to manipulate blood. This includes being able to create, shape and manipulate the essential body fluid in humans and animals. Those that wield this power are able shape their blood into tendrils to strike enemies from afar or use it to trap opponents in a prison of blood. They can also concentrate blood into a single point, and shoot it out akin to bullets, or sharpen their blood to the point that they can slice and tear flesh with ease or solidify blood to use as rock-hard ammunition. Another use of this power is controlling the blood within the body of oneself, increasing physical abilities by speeding up the transport of nutrients and oxygen via blood to all parts of their body, thus improving their energy and power. They can also use this to speed up healing by immediately clotting their blood, preventing blood loss and speeding up the recovery process, gaining a form of manual healing. Blood manipulators can also gain a form of cold immunity by increasing body temperature through blood-flow. Over time this power can grow to the point where they will be able to manipulate blood from anywhere such as the bodies of other living creatures, allowing them to control them like puppets, induce nosebleeds, headaches, or even cause blood-related diseases. They could even instantly kill others by making their blood explode from the inside out or forcibly causing their heart to stop or knocking them unconscious by restricting blood-flow to the brain.

i love when webtoon creators reveal big things about certain characters in supplementary material in such a roundabout way that no one notices.

the hand jumper fandom has been wondering for forever what ryujin’s gift was until it was revealed to be blood manipulation in the most recent chapter. for the character roles page on the official hj discord server, each character is represented with a certain emoji the relates to them in some way. sayeon has a clock, iseul has a sun, and min has a bread emoji. but ryujin has a blood emoji. up until this week. all the clue we had for her gift was that she had red essence which is meant to enhance the user’s body. and even then, something like blood manipulation probably wouldn’t come to someone’s mind at first. most ppl saw that and went “well that’s weird and super random” and didn’t think much of it. BUT NO. sleep was basically telling us it since the beginning.

You haven't done anything with Fiber Master in a long time. How about you combine it with Blood Manipulation?

New Quirk Name: Red Strings or Life Fibers

This Emitter type Quirk allows the user to infuse their own clothing with their blood, causing it to become more vibrant with a red hue. In doing so, the user can empower and control their own clothing. This makes the clothing stronger and tougher, able to block bullets without a problem and burst through wood with a punch. The user can spread and apply this through their control of the fibers. Not only can they move the clothes, but they can also unravel and reravel them, able to spread them out and reshape them to their needs. The user can spread this effect with other clothes by spreading out their fibers to them. This gives the user a versatile Quirk, using their own blood to turn their clothes into the peak of form and fashion.  They can alter their clothes with extra additions, manipulate enemies around the battlefield, augment their close-quarters abilities, protect themselves or others from harm, or just make sure they always look their best. Though this does rely on the user's own blood flow and the fibers that allow it to flow, similar to veins. Extensive damage to the will cut the clothes and cause the user to start bleeding. The Quirk needs fibers to work, specifically plenty of fabrics on the user's body for them to apply the blood to.

ROMAN LEVEQUE

I have so much fun with these, haha. I used to make a lot of moodboards when I was younger and digital design is kind-of my thing (outside of writing), so I think I'm pretty good at it!

Roman Leveque is one of the side characters in an unpublished WIP of mine, Rising From The Ashes, and the older brother of Carmin Leveque. Their family is well-known to be the Protectors (basically bodyguards) to the crown, and so their "darker magics" are overlooked (read: purposely ignored) by the general populace.

Well, that... and how are you supposed to approach the children of the literal Existence of Death about not using dark magic? Yeah, good luck with that.

Time to do an in-depth Analysis about some Choso things i wanna talk about for a long time now:

We know that he and his siblings, the Death Paintings, were aborted and turned into Cursed Objects. In the official Anime Guide it stated that the fetuses where made into Cursed Objects "after their death" (> abortion), but we know that they where concious over all those years, even able to become aware of their own Cursed Techniques (at least in Choso's case) and somehow even train them (also, did Choso knew the names of all his Techniques because that information was kinda engraved into him, together with Blood Manipulation itself?). Someone's theory was that Choso might actually had a Domain Expandion, with which he trained himself in Blood Manipulation while being sealed, which would actually makes sense and would be very cool!!!

Now about his Cursed Object Form: I believe that, obviously, only their original bodies died and Kenjaku somehow secured their Souls and PROBABLY used their dead fetus' bodies (corpse) as basis for the Cursed Object and put their Souls "back" into their transformed "bodies". I mean, somehow Choso must've had some kind of blood by his side. And Sukuna was turned into a Cursed Object that was made our of parts of his original body (his Fingers) too.

And about the whole Incarnation Stuff: We know, the Vessel has to ingest the Cursed Object, which contents Choso's Soul. The Vessel's brain will be overwritten with the existence of the Soul of the Cursed Object, and if the Vessel is weak (which is the case in here), the appereance of the Vessel changes to the one of the Soul of the Cursed Object. In Choso's case, he never had an developed body yet, but things like hair-, eye- and skincolor and other genetic stuff where still in his (part human) DNA and that overwrote the one of the Vessel, which led to the Body change to Choso's own appereance (how he also would've looked if he would've been able to grow-up like a normal human).

About his blood mark/mark/"tattoo", we know that it is a part of him (it's actually very similar to a birthmark), he was born with, and it is completely connected to his Cursed Technique of Blood Manipulation, since we saw young Noritoshi develope a similar red/black mark on his right eye when using Flowing Red Scale. But in Choso's case it's permanently on his face and i believe that this might be because of his curse DNA, it's the only thing about him (his pale skin and eye bags/circles or just swollen eyes might also be of that reason, but can also have different reasons) that makes him look more "unnatural", the only sign of him being partly curse. FUN FACT: the shape of his Mark strongly resembles the japanese Kanji for "one", 一 ichi, which might be a referance to Choso being the First Born of the Death Paintings.

And, when the Cursed Object is ingested and the whome Body changes, does the Vessel's Blood just only get's "overwritten" by Choso's, or does it "vanish" and get's "filled up with Choso's Blood?
