Fic WIP: "Beware My Power"
Conrad bounced like a boxer prepping for a fight. He seemed excited, which Tai thought was strange, considering that they were probably about to just throw nonsense at each other for a few minutes to impress their mentors. He didn’t understand what there was to get hyped up about.
“Hey, Tai?” Conrad shouted over at him right when it felt like they should get started.
“Yeah?”
He flashed this goofy, cheesy smile. “Just so you know, I’m not gonna hold back just cause I think you’re cute.”
Now, to Tai’s credit, he clocked that as the distraction play that it was almost immediately. Unfortunately, “almost” only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, so by the time he processed the situation, he was only barely in time to deflect the hammer that Conrad had swung at his chest after rocketing towards him at what had to be near supersonic speed. Tai didn’t expect him to move so quickly. Sure, they could, but most lanterns didn’t start out by blitzing their targets, it was unnecessary generally, and an odd use of the ring’s capabilities. And a hammer? A melee weapon, used in melee range was also a weird choice. Even Killowog tended to open up with artillery before he got in close. Guy used bats, but he used BIG bats and still tended to keep people at length. It was all so against type for what they were, weirder still for a Sapphire, and Tai couldn’t understand why that was his strategy.
But it did nearly catch him dead to rights.
Conrad spun with his momentum and went in for another swing, but Tai was ready to parry him properly with a guandao before flinging a brick wall at him, and got airborne while Conrad smashed through said wall like the Kool-Aid Man. Then Tai actually dropped the Kool-Aid Man on him and it managed to get a good hit in, partially because Conrad looked completely caught off guard. Tai smirked to himself and conjured a shower of jade meteors, raining them down on the Sapphire who had just finished shattering the trademarked monstrosity.
Conrad then raised his ring hand and…enveloped all of Tai’s meteors in his own aura, stopping them in mid air. That one caught Tai off guard. Sure, sometimes he’d cover something in light to pick it up if he didn’t feel like making an actual hand…but he’d never actually considered using it like telekinesis. Conrad shattered the meteors all at once and smiled up at Tai.
“You’re actually sort of good at this! Wanna see a magic trick?”
Tai actually did not want to see a magic trick, and threw a minivan at him instead. It looked like a direct hit, so he didn’t expect to feel fingers poking his ribs, and a chin on his shoulder.
“Hi.” Conrad whispered into his ear.
Tai launched himself away and spun around to face him properly. His temporary nemesis looked incredibly pleased with himself. Tai was less excited. “What, how did you--” Tai’s eyes widened as he watched Conrad disappear in a burst of light. He can teleport? They can do that?
Sure, he was surprised, but he’d seen enough action movies to know that Conrad was right behind him, and swung a polearm around to catch him…but no, Conrad wasn’t there. He looked up, and he instantly realized that was the wrong half of the 50/50 split to go for when he felt a pair of hands on his ankles and was suddenly yanked out of the sky and slammed into the lunar surface, face first.
That one kind of made him mad, actually. Mad enough that when Conrad paused to ask if he was alright, Tai smacked him away with a giant flyswatter before picking himself up. Conrad bounced off of the ground once before twisting in mid-air and righting himself. He wiped the corner of his mouth and smiled at Tai again, though it looked a bit more nervous than playful.
“Alright, fair enough. Hey listen, I think it’s important that we have fun--”
Tai created his favorite Gundam directly behind Conrad, and got airborne again while he turned to dodge it. He’d decided that close combat was a bad idea, and noticed that for some reason, Conrad was just…not making ranged attacks. Which again, struck him as incredibly odd.
But he was definitely going to exploit it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m going to die I’m going to die I’m going to die I’m going to die--
I narrowly dodge out of the way of what appears to be like, a Transformer or something, as it tries to nail me with its sword. He’s way better at making shit than I am, like waaaay better, it’s like fighting a tsunami of random bullshit. Maybe I shouldn’t have tried the cheeky play, I think I made him mad. Shit shit shit. I spin my hammer and use it to shatter an actual kitchen sink--this guy has actually thrown a kitchen sink at me. I decide that I need to get back on the offensive and spin on my heel, changing my grip on my hammer’s haft as I do. I swing and teleport into the air and behind him at the same time, and the result is me landing a nasty hit on his back and sending him crashing into one of the moon’s many craters.
I take a moment to let out a sigh of relief, and that’s a mistake. I assume he’d be disoriented for at least a second, and so I do not expect to get hit from behind by a train.
It’s a nice train too, he’s also better at making trains than I am. By a lot!
Oh, also: Getting hit by a train sort of hurts. Having a train smash you into the surface of the moon hurts more. Face first too. Fortunately, since I'm not concentrating on any other constructs and saw it coming, I’m able to fortify my barrier enough that I’m not instantly out of the fight, but I am stunned for a sec, dizzy and with a mouth full of moondust.
The toe of Tai’s boot taps my ribs, and I’m thankful that my mouth is too full of dirt for him to hear the embarrassing sound I make. “Yield?” He asks, and I think he sounds a little concerned. So he doesn’t hate me, that’s good.
Actually. I can use that.
So I do.
I spit most of the dust out, roll over onto my back and look up at him. “Ow.”
His mouth twists with what might be guilt. “Is that a yes?”
I pull my shirt up to wipe my mouth, and yeah, there it is, I can feel it. I dunno what Tai is into, but almost anyone will appreciate a decent set of abs. All I need is the smallest feeling of attraction, and I get it. I hope this doesn’t make him too mad…but I don’t want to lose my first lantern fight.
I smile at him after pulling my shirt back down. “...Like what you see?”
Tai opens his mouth to shoot me down probably, then stops. “...Wait…wait, what? Why am I--are you--”
I rocket into him and tackle him into the dirt. He catches my punch midway to his face and growls at me. “I’m actually going to beat your ass now.”
“It’s not my fault that I’m cute and you’re a little confused.”
“Trying to psych me out tells me that you know you can’t beat me.”
I make myself smile. “Or maybe I’m just a flirt. It's not my fault you get distracted so--hurk!” A giant hand plucks me hard in the side, knocking me off of him before following up by swatting me into the ground before I manage to orient myself again.
...Okay, so I might need to close this out before I piss him off too much.

for anyone who hasn't played for answer, let me explain why i love nexts so much by comparing different generations of armored cores. in gen 6, armored cores are just another weapon. they're generally weaker than lcs and hcs (you can hear a pca person piloting an lc be shocked that an ac beat her), but they're customizable, so they still have their uses. in oldgen armored core (gen 1-3), acs were the strongest mechs, but not by so much that nothing could stand against them. it would take a skilled pilot to beat 6 high level mts (think around tetrapod mts from ac6), but in any one on one fight, the ac would probably win. in gen 4 acs (nexts) were divine. like, they were explicitly compared to divinity. ac4's opening has the words "in the myth god is force" and acfa's opening has the words "pray for answer." they were nigh unstoppable super weapons. the only things that could stand against them were other nexts and the fucking spirit of motherwill, a weapons platform bigger than manhattan that could literally darken the sky with missiles, and even then you fought it as early as balteus in ac6. this is further enhanced by the music sounding like a church choir (with orchestral rock as the instrumentals). nexts are the ultimate combination of real robot design (you could attach weights to change the center of mass, changing how your ac handled) with real robot power (most gundams would get blitzed by a next). i am completely serious when i say that every gameplay issue i have with ac6 would be fixed if acs in this game (both you and npcs) were nexts.

So the LU gundam AU continues and
Wind and Twilight the only non clone children of the Chain! Bow I've shared some details from the LU Whumpever server, so I shall make a separate post for those details, BTW I just realized I forgot to mention Four on the server.
But, back to Wind and Twilight. Wind is a regular person (for now) but he's a space pirate. At first I was going for something like Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam, but my ass is so unfamiliar with it, so I'm leaning more into the Gundam Astray story. So for Time's finally fight with the government, before he goes into the Fierce Deity equivalent of a Gundam (maybe I'll draw it later) to fight Skull kid/Majora (spoilers: Skull kid dies). With Legend's creation, which only happen because they found the arm of Time's original Gundam. So for Wind, he found the rest of the mobile suit. And because of certain details, aka the Time travel ability of the Ocarina of Time, the time ability goes to Wind to be the Phantom Sword (Lol I might call Wind's Gundam the Phantom Gundam). But for Wind's windwaker, that's where Wild comes in. Now it was very easy for me to say Wild and his team/Champions were abandoned to die but bot the state of the mobile suits. Now the Champions are dead, because it was a suicide mission. And for Wind's replacement arm for the Phantom Gundam, is Revali's mobile suites arm because fuck yeah Gundam Astray Gold frame with the Blitz arm. And with Wind basically not repainting the suit for some time that's how the Governemnt knew Time was alive and just deserted the army, so Time is considered a traitor to the government.
Which leads me to Twilight. Twilight is Time and Malon's son. (uh I forgot the two people that are Twilight's adopted parents in some people's fics so they're babysitters/godparents for Twilight because I feel bad for leaving them out) The Fierce Deity mobile suit was repurposed for Twilight's mobile suit, much to Time's argument against mobile suits because killing Skull kid and reading his older brother figure file of him dying in mobile suits still haunts him. (Hehehe Warriors isn't actually dead but hehhehhehe that makes the reunion more angsty along with the HADES system, ill probably rename it to SPIRIT or FOCUS if i figure out a way to make the system based off the HADES with those letters.) Twilight is a rebellious kid. Gotta keep the Gundam tradition alive by having children in Mobile suits fighting in a war they have no idea about. Also I'm going to have more than just Witch from Mercury reference be stuck to Time, I'm going to let baby Twilight sneak out and bond with the Gundam. And have Twilight get his markings from the suit too. But I'm going to let the suit transform into a wolf so I can have wolfie without any potential animal deaths in the future in case I want more angst. So because Time is a deserter, Twilight had to move around a lot and staying in Ordon for the longest time was his norm until, he meets Midna. A mobile suit designer, (well I can make her like the daughter of a mobile suit company which I guess can consider her a princess in some way) Midna helps with the Wolf Gundam (because it's no longer the Fierce Deity) and when she has to leave, their location is pretty much compromised. Which eventually leads to Twilight and Time going to space and meeting the rest of the chain, aka Twilight's uncles and Wind.
BTW designs are not final!
#Laughing like a devious gremlin planning their reunion#lu wind#lu twilight#linked universe au#lu time#legend lu#lu warriors#The Gundam LU au#Imagine your Legend and this buff ass farm kid that throws hands in a mobile suit in space is your nephew

Second kit from the gundam base haul is the dual blitz!
Glad to know tbay the base kit is the regular dual gundam, looks really nice in the anime accurate look!
Crazy poser and all the joints are super sturdy... until the assault shroud II is out on 😭
All articulation dissappears and getting the arm to move at all was a struggle
Tbh I don't really mind tho, still looks sick and it's neat that they were able to pull the combo this well
At least it can still reach its beam saber

Hi there! I just wanted to ask: favorite gundam mech? Mine is Gundam astray gold frame amatsu Mina. Nice to see ya!
Probably the Hi-Nu Gundam (specifically the older purple design, the katoki redesign is fine, but the proportions feel off to me). Your choice is pretty cool too, I like its head design and the needle launcher shield it took from the Blitz Gundam. Nice to see you too, saw you liked Super Robot Wars in your bio and followed almost immediately

MG 1/100 GAT-X102 Duel Gundam Assault Shroud
It's been a hot minute since I've put a model kit together (the last one was, funnily enough, the HGCE Duel Blitz Gundam), but I finally finished putting this together. The Duel Gundam took a few weeks, including cutting the parts from the sprues and painting the sections I wanted to paint.
Originally, I had wanted to do a full paint of the kit, but a combination of a long bout of illness and eagerness to put the kit together made me decide to deal with it the same way I did my previous Master Grade model - painting in mechanical details with metallic paints and grey (in this case, 70% H22 Grey and 30% H2 Black), then weathering with Tamiya Weathering Palettes C and F, along with dry brushing H28 Metal Black and H2 Silver.
While I expected the kit to have dry transfer decals (which were a fun experience to do, even if there was a bit of a learning curve), what I did not expect was that the Duel Gundam didn't come with any water slide decals, and instead came with a second non-foil sticker sheet. Since I didn't like some of the goofier SEED-style decals/stickers that came with the kit, I bought a sheet of grey and white generic water slides for the project (along with future model kit projects) and it turned out very well. It even adheres better than the decals from Bandai kits in a faster time.
The Duel Gundam also comes with the Assault Shroud armour (as it should) and although I enjoyed the additional detail added to the armour (including not having to remove the Duel Gundam's cuffs to add the Assault Shroud's cuffs), the bulk of the armour really cuts into the poseability of the kit, including cutting off the already limited waist articulation and hampering shoulder mobility. Due to how the front waist skirt attaches to the Duel Gundam's skirt as well, the Assault Shroud's front waist can pop off if you so much as look at it wrong. (Also the chest section of the Assault Shroud has a very thin section where the lower chest hatch attaches at a joint and it can just snap in half without warning soooooooo it's fine but it means there's not much holding power on the chest hatch joint)

Title: Cuteness Member - Munchy Beaver
We'll meet other members from the (child-friendly) show "PB&J Otter" from the likes of Flick, and otter siblings; Peanut and Jelly Otter, soon. But for now, here's Munchy Beaver 🪵🦫 in his AU from enrolling the "Cuteness Defender Academy", with his first "Cuteness Mecha Armor" was the "Buster"! 🤖😁
Buster Munchy Based on: GAT-X103 Buster Gundam [CLICK ME!]
Armament(s):
350mm Gun Launcher • Mounted on the backpack and carried in Buster's right hand when in use. It is a projectile weapon akin to a railgun or linear gun, which uses electromagnetic forces rather than gunpowder to launch its projectiles. In addition to solid shells, the gun-launcher can also fire specialized munitions such as armor-piercing and high explosive rounds.
94mm High-energy Rifle • Mounted on the backpack and carried in Buster's left hand when in use. It is a beam weapon similar to the beam rifle, and is the highest caliber energy rifle among those used by other units in the G Project. Its destructive power is above a battleship's beam cannon despite its smaller size.
220mm 6-barrel Missile Pod • The Buster is equipped with two 220mm 6-barrel Missile Pods, one in each shoulder, allowing the suit to fire a rain of missiles to destroy enemy units or to stop them from moving closer.
Anti-Armor Shotgun • When the High-energy Rifle and Gun Launcher combine, with the Gun Launcher on the front, it forms a very powerful shell-firing Anti-Armor Shotgun. It fires a single stream containing multiple shells that later splits apart, resulting in a scatter shot that damages a wide area. It appears that about four or five shells fired from the Anti-Armor Shotgun is enough to destroy some battleships.
Hyper Impulse Long-Range Sniper Rifle • When the High-energy Rifle and Gun Launcher combine, with the High-energy Rifle on the front, it can form a Long-Range Sniper Rifle. This beam cannon type weapon has a very high energy output, firing a larger beam that is capable of penetrating several targets, including battleships, making it the strongest weapon in the armored Buster's arsenal. As the name implies, it also features sniping capabilities due to the longer range of the beam. Although the combined forms has higher power, the rate of fire is decreased.
Special Equipment/Feature(s):
Phase Shift armor • The Buster is equipped with phase shift armor. When activated the Buster's color is changed from a light grey to a true color form. Phase Shift armor, when activated, renders the Blitz immune to physical attacks such as bullets, solid handheld blades, or against missiles. However Phase Shift armor continually drains the battery of energy, shortening the "CMA" suit's combat endurance, and uses up additional energy when it is hit.

How are you doing with your list of anime to watch?
Let's see:
-Finished Sailor Moon, loved it (in spite of its many faults), I really miss the girls already.
-Watched Cardcaptor Sakura, I adore that show as I've talked about before (though, yes, it has a few really uncomfortable elements). Also watched Clear Card, which was not quite as good but still very enjoyable.
-Watched the first episode of MS Gundam. It made me sad, and I haven't watched any more yet. I don't think I expected it to be as brutal as it is from the get-go. Not sure if I'll pick it back up again.
-Watched the first season of Witch From Mercury, which was very cool and fun, but I think too many people (and children at that) die in Gundam in general for me to fully enjoy it. I'll probably finish it, but I do know I'm in for some Bad Times in S2 so I'm apprehensive about it. I'll do it for Sulemio and Aerial, they're worth it.
-Watched the first season of Digimon Adventure, had a good time with it (though I think it was a bit too long and it took me ages to get used to digivolving as a Pokémon fanboy through and through). Also, don't ask me what the hell their names are, there's way too fucking many and they're not nearly as easy to remember as Pokémon names are IMO.
-Watched a few episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh!, I really wanted to enjoy it but it just didn't gel with me unfortunately - something about the hand-wavy game mechanics and rules just doesn't sit right with me. I'd like to watch the Duelist Kingdom arc in full, at least, but I haven't been motivated enough to go for it, so who knows.
-Watched about a third of Kill la Kill, which I've really enjoyed so far (but I do kinda need to pretend they're a little older than they actually are for obvious reasons). Cool fights, cool character designs, and I like Ryuko, Mako, and Satsuki's characters a lot. It'd be a fun if daunting challenge to figure out how they could exist in the Kverse lol.
-Watched a few episodes of OG Saint Seiya, it was alright and the Cosmo concept is cool but I think starting with a tournament arc was a mistake, I had little to no reason to care for any of these guys' chances. Might pick it back up later but I'm not in a hurry lol
-Watched the first couple episodes of Medabots again, I really love that series but since I've already mostly watched it it's also not a high priority.
I'm thinking of the next series to start, ideally something either pretty short that I could watch in a couple weeks or something really long that I could blitz through a few episodes a night in bed like Sailor Moon. I'm considering Naruto for the latter, but I'm open to suggestions!
#ask box#anon ask#personal#i'm also about to finish penn zero#which is still outrageously funny to me#and i finished secret saturdays pretty recently#but y'know#not anime

Hello Mr. Wiz I'm a big fan of your work right now as you can tell so I was scrolling and I found this Quirk that made my heart drop. It's your Quirk Blitz! The Quirk is very versatile and I like it!!! Could you maybe expand your Quirk Blitz with evolution, equipment, hero costume, training and Super Moves? For the costume let me guess, something similar to a Gundam? That would be cool as hell. Keep up the good work! Truth be told whenever I want to read something I just go here and read so sooner or later I might just have read all of your works so don't slack off! (Im kidding) Anyways hope you're doing alright!
Thank you, I'm glad that one of my Quirks has gave you such a positive reaction and my blog has given you something enjoyable to read. I hope that you enjoy this as well. And no need to worry, I am taking care of myself.
For "Blitz", support equipment could be a suit where the user could store the bits in and around. Not only could it give them an easy place to deploy them, but it could also let them apply the cannons to themselves to hover and fly by firing out the beams. Plus, that would fit right in with the whole mecha inspiration. Training would involve the user learning to practice with them on various moving targets, improving their aim and control over the drones. They would keep doing this until they drained their energy, working to improve their reserves and trying to get them to reform faster. Aside from improvements to the energy reserves and power of the beams, evolutions could have the user transfer energy through the bits. This could work to redirect the attacks, like chain attacks through the bits to hit a target, and focus all the energy on a single bit for bigger blasts. Super Moves could be various formations of the bits, such as having them circle around someone, raining them down on people from above, or bunching them together for one massive attack. hiding them in places to snipe people, or simply put them under something to launch it at another person if you want to be direct.
