i also would like to say some head canons of the dude!

The dna from the mantis shrimp is the least obvious, only giving him the ability to see the colors of mantis shrimp and to punch as fast as them - also maybe explaining his eyes?

the silver spinyfin gave him small fins along his humanoid back, and possibly giving him the fins on the sides of his head

he has multiple rows of teeth from the shark.

the bandage on his smaller arm is probably old, not really needed anymore, but he just refuses to take it off. it was likely from one of the monsters, of course not an instant death one, i would like to assume it was from a good people (i hate those things).

he stole the clothes from people that worked here in the past.

Also I'd like to apologize for inconsistent posts and not answering asks ! I have a bunch piled up in my ask box and I see u all and I love u so much and ur asks make my day, I'm jus very low on energy atm. I started antidepressants, went off them bcus i couldn't find them in pharmacies anymore, got put on a different medication, and I'm just starting to take that one and I've been incredibly sleepy like,, all the time. Just insanely tired.

btw i hope one day we as a fandom can acknowledge that a lot of big aus have been really fucking weird about mettaton in general tbh. this is a canonically trans character right. most people making aus are involved enough in the game and the fandom to know that i think. and his robot body is basically just hrt.

so why is it SUCH a common storyline in "edgy" aus to make him HATE his body and have someone else control it. to be forced to become a robot against his will and just be generally miserable. is that not weird as hell. is there really no way you can think of to make the Lights Action Bloodshed robot edgy

OR THEN in swap aus that don't even have the excuse of Edginess, when he's swapped with Napstablook that aspect of BOTHHHHH characters gets erased entirely. Robot Napstablook is almost never referred to with they/them pronouns, Mettaton doesn't even get to keep his chosen name !!!!!!!!!!!! and yeah i'll admit its RARE for them to be the focus of things but honestly even when they are they stilllll don't get to be their own characters, they're just the same characters from undertale with swapped color schemes

bleeghhh i just .!!! if you are gonna use these characters in your aus at least Try to know who or what you're even WRITING

i understand none of this is even intentional but goddamn it is so so so easy to think a lil to make sure you're not saying that forced transitioning is canon in your au just pay attention!!!!!!!!
