Luna Pearl granite from Spain features a small intricate pattern of grays and whites. Luna Pearl is available in polished slabs and recommended for both commercial and residential projects including outdoor landscaping and flooring in climates with freezing temperatures. Indoor applications can include countertops, walls, backsplashes, and other design features.

This 11’9″ outdoor kitchen was built in a home constructed by Neal Communities in the Verandah in Fort Myers. This home, like most of the homes that we build outdoor kitchens in, was purchased by the customer with an outdoor kitchen rough-in package. If you have your choice, the rough-in packages with the builder are the way to go!

This outdoor kitchen base is framed with aluminum and then wrapped with a wet weather backer board that is resistant to mold and mildew. The color choice for the stacked stone façade was the Skyline. The countertop and backsplash were a level 1 Luna Pearl granite. We took the granite backsplash up to the height of the existing back wall at 9” above counter height.

SEC Football Outdoor Kitchen Retreat

This outdoor kitchen was built for SEC football!  We have heard though that it has turned out to be the morning hangout for sipping coffee, the cafeteria at lunch time and the evening dinner and hangout spot.

If you ask these homeowners what there favorite thing about this outdoor kitchen is, well grab a chair and have a seat because that is a long answer.

There are so many great features about this outdoor kitchen that we love and wouldn’t want to do without.

We wanted the kitchen to have a rustic, almost western, feel which is why we went with the warmer colors.  To keep the stacked stone from getting heavy under the bar side, we added three custom made wood inlays, we also used wood inlays behind the sconces to tie everything together.  Keeping with the rustic theme, the sconces were made in Washington State and reflect out lifestyle with a laser cut deer running through the woods.

We wanted the kitchen to be versatile and I think we added just about every component you could think of.  I think the component that has surprised us the most with its usefulness, is the side burner.  We cook all of our meals outside, and dare I say, the side burner has turned out to be the MVP…better not say that too loudly in front of the fridge and ice maker.  We use it for everything though, bacon, omelets, cheese grits, you name it.  We are ‘outdoors-ie’ people, and last weekend, when we made cheeseburger soup it was so nice not being stuck in the house prepping and babysitting it.

We added the big bar top with an overhang on both sides and a fire burner in the center.  It’s turned out to be perfect for dining and family time.  Since we are having a real winter, by Florida standards, the fire burner has been a great source of warmth in the evenings and has made the outdoor experience enjoyable long after sunset.  The kids also enjoy roasting marshmallows over the burner and making smores.

We built the kitchen thinking it would give us a cool spot to watch SEC football but really it has become so much more than that.  It has definitely exceeded our expectations.”

The color choice for the stacked stone was the ever-popular Silver Travertine. The countertop & side/backsplash are level 3 Surf Green granite with a half bullnose edge. The granite side/backsplash is 8″ in height. We think the color choices were on point! Sometimes we get so busy building kitchens though; we do forget to get final photos. This outdoor kitchen was constructed in a home built by Pulte in Wild Blue. This home featured the summer kitchen rough-in. The rough-in feature is a great option to select with any builder. It will save you lots of time, headaches, and money in the long run.

This Pinnacle floor plan features a 13’4” wall, and we ran the outdoor kitchen the full length of that wall, talk about counter space! Counter space is an essential part of an outdoor kitchen if your ultimate goal is entertaining. You will need plenty of space for prepping and serving those buffet-style BBQ’s. As with all of our outdoor kitchens, we build them to last! The base is framed with aluminum and wrapped with a wet weather backer board. The façade along the front & left side is a stacked stone, the customer selected Skyline in this instance. The countertop and 4″ side/backsplash are a level 1 New Caledonia granite. The backsplash rises to 36″ high for a width of 36″. And it is centered under the hood and behind the grill making maintenance a breeze.

This 12’7″ outdoor kitchen was constructed in Corkscrew Shores in Estero, Florida. Corkscrew Shores is one of Estero’s newest and most exciting gated communities. Corkscrew Shores is not your traditional community. They have taken the conventional community concept and enhanced it to feel like your home is a vacation destination. Estero, conveniently located between Naples and Fort Myers, has become a leading destination in Southwest Florida for many Floridians.

The base is built with our tried and true method, by framing it with aluminum and wrapping it with a wet weather backer board. The facade is the Silver Travertine stacked stone. This stone is so popular amongst the Corkscrew Shores residents that we have nicknamed it the “Corkscrew Shores Special.” The color palate in the Silver Travertine stone and the Corkscrew Shores community could not gel together any better. The countertop & side/backsplash are level 1 New Caledonia granite. This New Caledonia was one of the original color choices for granite when it first got popular. And it is coming back in style with a vengeance in 2020! Like the Silver, Travertine stacked stone (and the color palette of homes in Corkscrew Shores), the New Caledonia is the perfect mix of black & brown color tones. This color choice is so eclectic and offers the homeowners tones of options with the décor they pair with the summer kitchen. The side/backsplash is 8″ in height. It is centered under the hood, and behind the grill, the backsplash rises to 36″ high for a width of 36″.

It is designed for areas under an awning or covered lanai.

Although this “summer” kitchen was built in the winter, in Southwest Florida it indeed can provide use and enjoyment all year long.

Cappadocia Stacked Stone Facade Made For a Delightful Outdoor Kitchen & Living Space

This project consisted of an outdoor kitchen demolition, directly followed by a rebuild of a brand new Elegant Outdoor Kitchen. The kicker is that we used this beautiful Cappadocia Stacked Stone finish, turning an old summer kitchen into a delightful new outdoor living space.

The existing summer kitchen had become worn and outdated. The homeowner wanted to install new pavers around their pool deck and then have the exterior of their home repainted. It was the ideal time to demo and rebuild their aged outdoor kitchen area. That’s where we came into the picture! We initialized the project by removing the old outdoor kitchen for this homeowner. The demolition of the old kitchen took place before the pavers and paint. Doing the demo first gave the pavers and painters a fresh start for their projects. We’re confident the homeowners and the other contractors appreciated it.

After the painting and pavers got finished, we came back and the beautiful 9’8″ custom outdoor kitchen. We invite you to check out the photo gallery on this page. Like all of our custom-built bases, we start by framing the structure with aluminum and then wrapping it with a wet weather backer board.

On the facade along the front and a small portion of the right flank is a gorgeous Cappadocia Stacked Stone. The countertop, side flanks, and backsplash are a 4″ level 1 granite ADD COLOR CHOICE. The backsplash installed behind the grill is 36″ by 36″ and starts at the counter backsplash and rises to the ventilation hood.

Although this community is not right on the coast, it certainly feels like it when you pull into it. Sticking with the coastal theme in this outdoor kitchen was one of the main objectives during this project.

This 13’10” outdoor kitchen included the following components:

Under-mount sink with high-arc faucet (18″ L x15″ D x 7″ H) – Being that this was a custom outdoor kitchen build when the customer asked if the orientation of the sink could be rotated 90 degrees from how we usually install them, it was, of course, a non-issue.

The countertop and side/backsplash are a level 1 Dallas White granite. The side/backsplash is 4″ in height. Centered behind the grill and for a width of 36″, the backsplash rises to 36″ at the corners and arcs 38″ at the center.

The Skyline stacked stone was installed as an additional backsplash on the remainder of the back wall not covered by the granite.

The fall season certainly brought the L-Shape outdoor kitchen theme along with the nicer weather. It seemed that we were building one L-Shape outdoor kitchen after another this fall. This project was completed in the Esplanade at Hacienda Lakes in Naples, Florida.

The cabinet base housing the grill is 9’6″ in length. Coming off the front of the left side, the fridge section will be 6’0″ in length (as measured from the wall behind the grill cabinet). The base is framed with aluminum and wrapped with a wet weather backer board. The façade is the Leonardo stacked stone. The countertop and back/side splashes are a level 3 Fontana granite. Coming off the back of the refrigerator side, the bar overhang is 4″ and the corners and rounds to 10″ at the center. The side/backsplash is 4″ in height, rising to 36″ high for a width of 36″, centered under the hood and behind the grill.

L-Shaped Summer Kitchen by Elegant Outdoor Kitchens

Vineyard Country Club Southwest Florida

This home is located in the Vineyards, a truly grand community. The customer had recently closed on this home, which had a huge outdoor living space but lacked a summer kitchen. The homeowners decided that an summer kitchen would be best situated in an area out near their pool. With a built-in configuration between the home and a pillar, the cabinet base housing the grill was 4’10” in length. Coming off the front of the right side, the section housing the refrigerator was 7’0″ in length (as measured from the existing pillar to the left of the refrigerator cabinet). The refrigerator side was a 2-tier cabinet base.

The base is framed with aluminum and wrapped with a wet weather backer board. The façade is a stacked stone per the drawings (Golden White). The Normandy granite countertop was a level 3 granite and was a close match to the existing granite on the interior of the home. Because the 2-tier bar top had 17″ depth and was going to be a showpiece, the customer made an additional trip back down to the granite yard for the layout. This allowed the customer to select specific parts of the slab for particular areas of the kitchen and bar top. This summer kitchen was worth the extra effort, and it turned out amazing.

Underlit or Backlit Glow – It’s Possible with Crystalo Granite

This is a unique and feature-rich custom outdoor kitchen build, the ambient glow that emanates from beneath the countertop at night is by far one of the most amazing features. This effect cannot be achieved with just any granite, though. We were able to achieve this remarkable effect due to the higher Quartz Crystal content (roughly 25% of the granite) of the Crystalo Granite.

The construction of this L-shape custom summer kitchen by Elegant Outdoor Kitchens is as unique as it is beautiful, completed in Paseo. If you haven’t heard of Paseo, it’s a Stock Development Community that revolves around outdoor entertainment & dining, which makes this outdoor kitchen a perfect fit for the expanding community. The cabinetry housing the grill is 10’3″ in length. Coming off the front of the right side, the section that houses the outdoor refrigeration unit is 5’2″ in length (as measured from the back of the grill cabinet). The combination of materials used to finish this gorgeous outdoor kitchen area resulted in a great final product.

Staying true to form where framing is concerned, as with all of our outdoor kitchens, the base is framed with aluminum studs and wrapped with a wet weather Hardie backer type of board. The façade is a stacked stone (Leonardo – follow for more options).

The countertop and backsplash are an exotic style of Crystalo granite. The translucent nature of the granite allows for the glow of under cabinet lighting to shine through. Not only did we pack this kitchen full of ambiance, but it also contains a full range of functionality. The backsplash is 4″ in height around most of the rear wall. The backsplash makes a dramatic rise to 36″ on center directly behind the barbecue grill, meeting the Tradewind 36″ Hood. This backsplash to hood design minimizes the typical maintenance needed from the pesky smoke residue (but we can’t live without it!). The countertop overhang located at the rear of the refrigerator cabinet is 6″ at the corners, it arcs to 10″ at the center (for a total depth of 39″ at the center!). We included an additional 10″ overhang off the right side of the refrigerator cabinet to maximize the prep and countertop space of the island. Not only is this overhang creating more counter space, but the designer arc gives the island a certain aesthetic appeal when compared to a traditional rectangular shaped countertop protrusion. This outdoor kitchen has tons of counter space as well as welcomed leg room for dining and lounging at the bar. We’re confident that most have experienced the discomfort of a small overhang. It’s something we had in mind when designing this beautiful, custom outdoor kitchen.

This was one of three outdoor kitchens we completed back to back in Prato in Pelican Preserve. These were all planned months in advance and there were several big ticket projects that had to take place before we could get started. With some planning and foresight, we were able to adjust our schedule accordingly to work around other vendors who were also hired by the Customer’s for home improvement projects. This 10’7” Amarelo Capri Outdoor Kitchen was built in one of the first homes that Lennar built after taking over Pelican Preserve. Like all of our outdoor kitchens, the base is framed with aluminum and wrapped with a wet weather backer board.

Naples Outdoor Kitchen Renovation – From Old to Gold

The home that this Naples outdoor kitchen was built in was a recent purchase for our customer. The home already had an outdoor kitchen installed but the new homeowner’s had a different vision in mind. Since everything had already been designed and planned, once the new homeowner’s closed on the home, we went to work removing the old outdoor kitchen and almost immediately started construction on the new Elegant Outdoor Kitchen.

This L-shape outdoor kitchen has plenty of room for entertaining. The side along the back wall (the grill side) is 11’5″. Perpendicular to and on the front, the left side of the grill side is the refrigerator side that is 7’7″ (as measured from the back wall). The façade along all the cabinet base is the Golden White stacked stone. The countertop & granite side and backsplash are a level 1 granite Ornamental granite. There is a 10″ overhang off the back and left side of the refrigerator side. The backsplash is 36″ in height for a width of 36″ centered under the hood and behind the grill; the right side splash is 5″ in height.

Off each side of the granite backsplash, there is a tile backsplash that is 3′ in height by approximately 4’1″ wide. The tile selected was a Cascade White 6”x6” tile installed on a diagonal.

There was an existing opening along the back wall that was partially filled in to allow for installation of the hood. This facade was a stucco finish. The remaining open areas off to the left and right of this opening were rescreened.
