It's the 2 year anniversary of one of my favourite films of the past few years, so I wanted to illustrate a poster for it and share it with the world 🤍

TÁR, a movie that has left such an impression on account of how viscerally complex and real it feels to the point when you can easily forget this is not a biopic. Cate Blanchett's portrayal of fictional composer Lydia Tár is masterful. Perhaps my fav work of her career.

Starting a new painting is always a bit daunting, but I had a really good feeling about this one, even before I put paint on canvas.

Mads is always a wonderful subject to paint and I think this might be my favourite portrait of him I've done so far!
