#Big Boss 11 full episode

Honestly this episode just opens up much more questions then can be answered in the last episode.
1. If we are assuming that noise of the tardis is connected to the gods (seeing as it made the noise when Donna and the Doctor invented the salt thing and when we meet Maestro), then why the hell did it make the noise when Rogue was there?
2. Why the women? She was clearly there before the Blue Yonder thing where most of us are assuming the whole Suketh thing was likely supposed to start?
3. What is Mrs Floods deal? She clearly knows a whole lot more but she also seems to predictable as a villain.
4. If the Tardis is there again, that means either Ruby or the Doctor will clearly travel back in time again but for what? More importantly, if the Tardis is there again is there someone else like maybe Rose in there seeing as both Ruby and the Doctor are not supposed to cross their time line?
5. Who is Ruby?
6. What is the deal with Carla and seemingly knowing about the beast?
7. How can the Doctor not have had children yet when we do in fact know both 10 and 11 have talked about being fathers and one has actually had a full one daughter that travels the universe?
8. Why lead us on with Susan? We have had so many hints about Susan the entire season it feels like and the only other time I can recall that many was with Twelve and Bill where multiple people have theorised that 12 sees Bill as a sort of granddaughter?
9. How can Ruby survive this season when it very clearly feels like everything is pointing to her having to be erased to fix some sort of timeline event?
10. When has the Doctor ever noticed another timelord lol? This man got suprised by every version of the Master we had at some point.
11. Maybe it's just me but having Mel be there again still feels like it is leading up to something bigger.
12. Is the Suketh the One who waits? Are they the big bad boss that has been hinted at multiple times?
13. How is the TARDIS involved? Because we know that the TARDIS is an actual being who clearly has more power in this?

So I really loved @ciozio's happiness au, which is why I decided to completely ruin it by making and adding this fella.
SIFGRIN: HAPPINESS AU DIVERGENCE
You might have seen him around in ISATCord, I call him Sifgrin. This is basically a Happy au divergence where I add this awful terrible new character.
MAJOR SPOILERS FOR FULL GAME AHEAD
SUMMARY OF SIFGRIN
Originally, he was just meant to be a bastardized version of Hapfrin. At his core, he still is, I just added more to him.
He acts as a sort of enabler to Hapfrin's shenanigans (there's an Au that does this better but bear with me). He really is as awful as he looks, smile, size, etc, like a massive troll or ogre. He refers to Hapfrin as "Boss", or "Big Boss", basically telling him that he's just here to help, knowing stuff like the lost island, the stars, loops etc.
Unfortunately, he doesn't actually know about Loop's existence, and Loop doesn't know about his either, that is until mentioned.
He has a rest spot near the nap spawn, but it's mainly just some huge rocks put together as seats.
He has the same looking cloak and hat as Siffrin, but his coin is badly bent out of shape and his dagger is too blunt to cut anything. He deals in deadly explosives now as result.
While he often speaks in lame simple terms, the truth is he's incredibly clever.
ORIGIN
Sifgrin is effectively a Hapfrin from an alternative Happiness timeline. However, he never had a Loop, neither did he ever wish to become one. Rather, he kept looping, over and over, learning and trying and getting more powerful. He kept trying to make everyone smile and refused to drop his, even once. As the universe cracks and rots, so does himself. His face begins to contort, growing awful wrinkles from smiling so much. His maniacal laughter episodes for longer and longer, outstretching his jaw. And as he got more powerful, his body grew to accommodate the changes.
Eventually, the universe began to burn away from so much looping, time and space cracking at the very seams.
Until it was nothing but the abyss. With one last dying breath, the universe gave Sifgrin a passageway into another world, seeing as it could no longer fulfill his original wish.
(Artwork needs to be change, make him bigger)
Anyways silly divergence au did you know 1 out of 12 people like him the one is me the 11 is everyone else, pending further number changes. Will need to add more details and stuff it's a work in progress and stuff

My memory is terrible so I wanted to do a breakdown of my stuff every once in a while. Might be monthly, might be whenever I feel like it. Also there are too many shows on and something is always finishing or starting so a month is a lot.
BL - Currently Watching
1000 Years Old [2/12] - It's silly, and entertaining and makes me laugh. The friend group is delightful and I'm having a good time watching them. Was excited for a minute when Yo suggested a haircut for Pun because I cannot handle that wig. 🤞
Anti Reset [5/10] - This is one of the most frustrating shows I've watched in a while. The show doesn't seem to settle on what is actually trying to say about the AI of it all, and when it says something I'm not crazy about it. Why is it so frustrating? Because they are so fucking endearing when they're together on screen. I wanna love this show so much.
Cherry Magic Th [11/12]– I love them so much. I'm fascinated by the choices that the show is making. As a big fan of the manga and the jbl I came into this with reservations and this show is just blowing my mind. This was the best episode 11 of all time and Tay/New are delivering. My heart is so full with this.
Cherry Magic Anime [7/12]– Another helicopter ride! Yay. The date song was hilarious. We're now getting to the point where they are dating and Adachi is feeling guilty for lying so I'm curious how the show will adapt the next phase of the relationship.
Dead Friend Forever [10/12]– Glad to see we are all on board with Tan's murderous impulses. It's been so much fun having more people join in on the fun. As for me, I NEED White to stay alive. That's really all I want. Getting curious about how Perth factors in to all of this.
My Strawberry Film[2/8] - I feel it coming. I see sadness in my future. But I'm bracing because I'm loving the look of this show. And pining boys are my favourite type of boys. I'm ready.
Ossan's Love Returns [8/9] - The videos messages destroyed me but then that ending made me annoyed. I don't know what to expect in terms of Kurosawa but I hope he's not actually dying and there's a really good reason for all this. Medical mal practice might be the thing. Although as @twig-tea pointed out to me, since it was said in show it might not actually happen. I want happy for the ending anyway.
Perfect Propose [5/6] . Why must I only have them for 6 episodes??? I need more. Kai is everything to me, and that back hug followed by that smile melted by cold heart. Hiro's boss needs something heavy to fall on him from a great height. And please Hiro, sweetie, I need you to eat better and sleep.
Although I Love You, and You? [7/10]- Sakae is letting me down. And by that I mean, the show is letting me down. Sakae needs to put his foot down with Mizuki and go back to being a fool in love with Soga.
To Be Continued [1/8] - It's not amazing. but I'm a sucker for second chance romance and there are two couples so there's a 50% chance I will like this. We'll see. Also, they need to start hiring younger actors for the high school flashbacks. This goes for A Secretly Love too. Having 27 year olds and up playing ten years younger just won't do. It's terrible.
Unknown [2/12] - I'm intrigued. Not completely sold yet but I'm liking it so far. Also nothing would keep me away from watching Sam Lin again.
Also watched the first episode of A Secretly Love and caught up with City of Stars but it's on the 'I need to shut of my brain' schedule so I'm not necessarily watching to weekly.
BL - Finished
Cooking Crush - I will miss all of them. I loved it so much. The whole cut/uncut version thing was annoying and the editing was weird at times but overall this was wonderful. Communication done right. Relationships and character growth was stellar and both couples won my heart. Aungpao really surprised me, considering he was surrounded my pros on all sides. Dynamite was a joy to watch. And OffGun delivering with all the kissing. Everyone should watch this.
The Sign - I mean, what they did to this show is absolutely insane. Not airing the finale like the rest of the show. Having to pay extra for happy ending is ridiculous (although I kinda predicted this and @lurkingshan is my witness. I said as a joke and it turns out reality is a joke.) Then waiting 2 whole weeks for whatever that was. Just the most unsatisfying experience. Go read this from Shan because I agree with everything said there. Also @bengiyo final thoughts here really echo how I felt about this show overall.
Happy Ending - 20 minutes split in 3. Why? No idea. Was it a happy ending? I think so. Was it cute? Sure. Was it great to watch Seong Hyuk again? You betcha. But I didn't love it. I need Choco Milk Shake S2, like, TODAY.
Playboyy - It ended.
Rose Watches OJBL - I feel bad about this. I didn't watch any of the ones I planned to. This might seem like whatever but I've been trying to catch up with awards season films, because since uni, me and a couple of friends always do it and finish it by watching the oscars together and so ojbl was were I dropped the ball. Gonna restart soon though.
Not BL - Watched this month
Night Has Come Death's Game Shop for Killers
That's it for right now. As usual my ask box is open for gif requests and any other questions. All my gifs are under #rosygifs.
Have a good week💜

9-1-1 REACTION
After last week’s 100th episode, I am back with a reaction to our latest episode. I do want to acknowledge my last reaction got a bit wordy so it’s my goal to keep things nice and tight. Like Lou Ferrigno Jr.'s body. Okay, focus! Ahem. This reaction is for the season 7, fifth episode “You Don’t Know Me” which originally aired April 11, 2024. The episode was written by Lyndsey Beaulieu and Taylor Wong and directed by Brenna Mallow. Spoilers ahead!
“I’m the boss of me.” – Terry and audience
We begin the episode in a hotel conference room where speaker Terry (played by John Milhiser) is talking to a small audience about the importance of having self-control. He tells his captive audience the secret to self-control is one simple thing; however, before he can reveal that simple thing, his right hand seizes up and starts going all Devon Sawa in Idle Hands on Terry. The audience is aghast as Terry starts beating the shit out of himself. It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so horrifying.
Cue title card.
“Get it off!” – Eddie Diaz, to anyone who will listen
The 118 arrive on the scene and find Terry slapping himself. Hen reminds us that once upon a time she went to med school and suggests Terry is suffering from something called alien hand syndrome. Eddie doesn’t believe such a thing exists but Hen schools him by explaining that it’s a rare neurological condition that causes a person’s limbs to act out, seemingly of their own will. This condition usually indicates urgent brain danger. Bobby tells Buck and Eddie to restrain Terry while Hen and Chimney prepare to administer some lorazepam and lidocaine. Buck and Eddie struggle to restrain the guy which is funny considering they’re both big dudes and this guy doesn’t seem like he would be that strong. Hen asks Terry if he’s recently been treated for epilepsy or blood clots. He tells her no and Chimney asks if he’s been treated for an irregular heartbeat. Terry tells him he had an operation four weeks ago for his AFib. Hen thinks it’s possible his heart has grown a blood clot that went to his brain. Basically, Terry is having a stroke and it’s imperative they get him to the hospital immediately before there’s any brain damage.
Terry’s hand reaches for Buck’s throat and starts choking him. Bobby manages to pry his hand off Buck’s throat, but it immediately grabs Eddie’s (ahem) privates. Yup, you read that correctly. Terry’s hand gropes Eddie’s package. Eddie is basically S.A.-ed in a room full of people. Bobby pries his hand off, again, and Eddie collapses to the floor. The hand goes for Buck’s throat again and Chimney sneaks in to administer the lidocaine which numbs Terry’s arm and hand. At this point, Buck’s face is beet-red, and his eyes are bulging out. Terry goes to apologize to Buck and Eddie, but neither are very receptive to his apology.
“How perfect is this little face?” – Karen Wilson, to Maddie Buckley
We head over to the Buckley-Han residence where Maddie and Chimney are giving some of Jee-Yun’s baby clothes to Hen and Karen who are excited about the arrival of a new foster child. Karen gets a call from the social worker asking to meet with them. When they meet with Dierdra (played by Andi Chapman) she tells them the little girl they were planning on fostering is being taken in by her grandmother. What I like most about this scene, it shows how much Hen and Karen have grown since the whole Nia situation back in season 3. They’re disappointed about not being able to foster the little girl, but Hen says that at least the girl gets to stay with her family.
Dierdra tells them there’s another girl who needs a home but she’s older. Both the girl’s parents are deceased and she’s currently living in a group home which is not an ideal living situation for a 9-year-old. Dierdra tells Hen and Karen that this girl is very special, and she wants her to have a fighting chance at having a good life. She believes her best chance is with Hen and Karen. Hen looks at Karen who gives her a look that indicates her interest in giving this child a home. Hen asks Dierdra when she and Karen will get to meet her.
“I’m an ally. Every Pride Month, I put a rainbow on my Instagram.” – Evan Buckley, to Tommy Kinard
Meanwhile, Buck and Tommy (played by Lou Ferrigno Jr.) go out on their first date. While Tommy pays their bill, Buck asks him what time the movie starts. Tommy tells him the movie theater has 18 screens so they can pick a movie when they get there. Buck glances around the restaurant, nervously, and Tommy assures him that no one is looking at them. I love that Tommy is one of the only characters in the show who calls him Evan. Tommy reminds him that no one cares that they’re having dinner together. Buck, of course, plays coy, and Tommy tells him he’s a little tense. He tells Buck that he gets it. The two of them are in a pretty macho line of work,. He tells Buck that he’d be surprised by how accepting most people are.
Buck asks Tommy if he’s always been out at work. Tommy tells him ‘no’ and says that the 118 was a pretty regressive place back when it was under the leadership of Captain Gerrard. Tommy says that back then he was still figuring himself out. When he transferred to Harbor, he stopped lying about who he was. Buck says he’s not lying about who he is and Tommy says he didn’t say Buck was. He was talking about himself. Buck tells Tommy this is his first date with a guy but assures him he’s not weirded out. I cackled when Buck told Tommy he was an ally and that he posts a rainbow on his Instagram during Pride Month. Tommy says that it must be him that makes Buck nervous.
“Evan, I think you’re adorable.” – Tommy Kinard, to Evan Buckley
Their conversation is interrupted by the arrival of Eddie and his girlfriend, Marisol (played by Edy Ganem). Eddie greets them both, very loudly, and is excited to see his two friends hanging out. Tommy tells them they just had dinner and are on their way to see a movie. Buck says that afterwards they’re going to go pick up hot chicks because women like firefighters. Eddie, of course, is oblivious and makes a comment about Marisol being a hot chick and finding her firefighter. I don’t know who’s cringier in this scene – Buck or Eddie. Eddie tells Buck and Tommy that Marisol agreed to move in with him and they both tell him congratulations. Marisol makes a comment about moving her armoire into Eddie’s house and he says that you can never have too much closet space. Tommy says, ain’t that the truth – right, Evan? I hollered!!!! Buck looks like he wants to disappear. Eddie and Marisol leave, and Tommy asks if Buck’s ready to go. Buck says yes. Outside, Tommy orders a Lyft just for himself. He tells Buck he’s going to skip the movie. When Buck asks why, Tommy tells him that he doesn’t think Buck is ready. Before he gets in the car, he tells Buck he’ll see him around. I felt so bad for Buck in this scene, but I totally understand where Tommy is coming from.
“Can we go back to the pronoun?” – Maddie Buckley, to Evan Buckley
Dierdra introduces Hen, Karen, and Denny to a Mara Driskell (played by Askyler Bell). Mara is non-verbal and seems withdrawn. Hen tells her to make herself at home and Denny gives her his favorite teddy bear. Meanwhile, Buck goes to see Maddie and tells her about his date. He describes his date in vague terms which leads Maddie to believe he’s seeing a married woman. Buck says he’s not seeing a married woman and tells her he feels guilty for lying to Eddie. Maddie asks him why he did it and Buck says he doesn’t know. Buck tells her that his date left him standing outside the restaurant. Maddie picks up on the specific pronoun he used to describe his date and to Buck’s credit, he tells her he was on a date with a guy.
Maddie is so supportive in this scene which I knew she’d been. In fact, I don’t think anyone is going to have a problem with Buck being interested in men. Maddie asks him how long it’s been since he’s been leaning in the other direction. He tells her he hasn’t been leaning in that direction; however, he will, from time to time, check out a hot guy’s ass. Buck considers this normal behavior, and you know what, I agree with him. We should all, regardless of who were are attracted to, take the time to check out a hot guy’s ass. Buck tells his sister about Tommy. I thought it was so cute when Buck lists all the things he finds attractive about Tommy Kinard. He’s confident, interesting, and no one has a swell cleft in his chin like Gaston Tommy. Maddie asks if this is the same Tommy who is Eddie’s friend. Buck gets defensive and reminds her that Tommy is a recent friend that he and Eddie most definitely met at the same time. I love when Buck gets jealous. Maddie tells Buck that she doesn’t think he’s a fraud and she follows that up with some amazing, sisterly advice. She reminds him that he’s still processing these new feelings and when he’s ready to tell Eddie the truth, he will do it in his own time. We end the scene with Maddie asking Buck to tell her more about the hot pilot.
“You’re not gonna spank me with a ruler, are you?” – Eddie Diaz, to Marisol
We next head over to the Diaz residence where we see Eddie and Marisol in bed together presumably after sexytimes. I found this transition jarring because we haven’t seen this side of Eddie since season 2. It’s so funny to me that Ryan Guzman is one of this show’s sex symbols, but we rarely get intimate scenes with his character. In fact, all of the other characters have been shown to have very active and satisfying sex lives within the show. Even Bobby and Athena like to mix it up with some roleplay from time to time. Anywho, Marisol heads into the bathroom to take the world’s fastest shower while Eddie snoops through her things. He finds a crucifix and a photo of her in a nun’s habit. He asks her when she was a nun for Halloween. Marisol exits the bathroom wearing a towel and tells him the photo was taken when she was with the Sisters of the Holy Order. She passes off this information like it’s the most normal explanation in the world before heading back into the bathroom. He asks he if she was really a month and she lets him know she only made it to novice and never took her final vows. Eddie tells her he’s having flash backs to being back in middle school. He asks if he she plans on spanking him with a ruler and she jokes that she’ll only do that if he asks nicely. When Marisol leaves the bathroom this time, Eddie sees her dressed in a habit with a celestial glow around her. Yeah, Buck may be dealing with his sexuality, but our boy Eddie has some good old-fashioned Catholic guilt.
“Is something wrong?” – Karen Wilson, to Mara Driskell
Back over at the Wilsons, Karen helps Mara get ready for bed. As she goes to leave the room, she finds the bear that Denny gave Mara lying on the floor with its head ripped off. Karen is rightfully disturbed by this and quickly exits the room. Later on, Karen wakes up to find Mara standing at the end of her bed. She wakes Hen up and they ask if something is wrong. Mara just stands there and glares at them in the creepiest way. Hen gets up and tells Mara she will go back to her room with her. When she goes to put her hand on Mara’s shoulder, the child starts screaming bloody murder which wakes Denny up. Hen and Karen exchange horrified looks.
“So, she dropped out of nun school?” – Evan Buckley, to Eddie Diaz
The next day, Buck walks into work, looking nervous and trepidatious. He sees Eddie at the bench-press and heads over to talk to him. He starts things off by telling Eddie he’s there early. Eddie says he’s been there since 6:00 even though their shift doesn’t start till 9:00. Eddie tells Buck he left the house early to avoid having sex with Marisol. Eddie asks Buck if his family was very religious when he was growing up which, no offense to the writers, seems like a conversation they would’ve maybe had by now considering how close they are. Buck says they were Episcopalian so basically no. I laughed at this line because I’ve always thought of Episcopalian as diet Catholicism. Many of the same rituals without all the pomp and pageantry. Eddie says he comes from Latin Catholics which apparently is even more hardcore than regular Catholics. Rosary beads. Catholic schools. Confessions. Mass every Sunday. He tells Buck he went until he was old enough to let tell his parents it wasn’t for him. Eddie calls himself as a Manchurian Catholic with a reservoir of Catholic guilt lying dormant just waiting to be activated.
Eddie goes on to say that everything was going great with Marisol moving in until he found out she was a nun. Buck’s follow-up question to hearing all of this is asking if she wears the outfit meaning the nun’s habit. Eddie explains that she’s not a nun currently, but she was once upon a time. Buck asks if she dropped out or was expelled. Eddie says that Marisol left of her own volition. Buck asks him what the problem is. Eddie says the problem is that he can’t look at her without wanting to do the Sign of the Cross instead of … other things. Eddie says he hasn’t been able to get a boner since she told him which explains why he’s so pent up. Buck tells him that Episcopalians don’t have guilt which is something he doesn’t exactly feel great about and suggests that Eddie appeal to a higher power. Eddie asks Buck if he thinks he should go to confession. Buck tells him ‘no’ and says he thinks he should go talk to Bobby since he’s a practicing Catholic. Eddie thinks this is a good idea since Bobby has never made him feel judged. He tells Buck that’s good advice. He goes to leave but pauses. He turns to Buck and says that it looked like he wanted to tell him something when he walked in. Buck lies and says he was just going to see if needed someone to spot him.
“One minute, Denny’s setting the table and the next, he’s bleeding.” – Karen Wilson, to Hen Wilson
Upstairs, Bobby brings Hen coffee. She tells him she need a handful of ibuprofen. He asks her if she has a headache, she tells him she has an everything ache. He asks her how thing are going with Mara, and she tells him that something happened to her. Before she got to Hen and Karen. Hen tells him that Mara had an episode the previous night. A night terror. She tells Bobby that she’s been with a day and a night but so far hasn’t spoken a single word. Bobby tells her that once Mara feels safe, she will eventually open up. Hen gets a text from Karen with a photo of Denny. Denny had a bruise over his right eye and the two of them are at the emergency room. Hen gets up and tells Bobby she needs to call Karen.
She learns that during breakfast, Mara chucked a coffee mug at Denny’s head. Hen asks if Denny is okay, and Karen says that he swears he’s fine. Denny tells Karen and Hen that Mara didn’t mean to hurt him which is awfully mature of him to say. Hen starts freaking out and asking about x-rays and stitches and checking for a concussion. Karen lets her know she is handling things. Hen apologizes and says she wishes she was there. Hen asks how all of this happened and Karen tells her she thinks it’s because Denny moved her blanket. Hen tells Karen that she’ll be home soon and when she gets there they have a lot to talk about. Karen agrees. When Hen gets home, the two of them make a phone call to Dierdra.
“I’m not gonna tell you how you feel about Marisol, Eddie. Only you know that.” – Bobby Nash, to Eddie Diaz
Meanwhile, back at the 118, Eddie shows Bobby a photo of Marisol wearing her nun’s habit. Bobby says that Marisol doesn’t look like any of the nuns he had back when he was in Minnesota. Bobby tells Eddie he understands why he’s unnerved by the knowledge that Marisol used to be a nun. He says that the imagery from their faith is very powerful. Eddie says he’s not sure if he can say that it is their faith. He tells Bobby he doesn’t know what he believes in anymore. Bobby reminds him that a lapsed Catholic is still a Catholic. He wonders if Eddie’s reaction is just him having second thoughts about Marisol moving in with him. He says that Eddie hasn’t talked about Marisol in a way that would make Bobby think he was considering cohabitating with her. Eddie tells Bobby that he really likes Marisol. Bobby tells Eddie he remembers the last time he said something similar. It was about Ana and he tells Eddie that shortly thereafter he started having panic attacks. Eddie asks Bobby if he thinks he’s a commitment-phobe. Bobby says he doesn’t think that’s the case considering Eddie has no problem committing to other things like the military, being a firefighter, his son, and Shannon. Eddie tells Bobby that the Church is a lot of the reason why he and Shannon got married. When she got pregnant, they both felt pressured into getting married. Eddie says that he’s never regretted marrying Shannon. Even when things got really bad, there was a part of him that loved being married to her. Bobby tells Eddie that only he knows how he feels about Marisol. Eddie asks Bobby what he would do if he were in his position. Bobby says as a practicing, confession-going Catholic he would go to confession because he wouldn’t want to piss off Marisol’s ex … the Lord.
“I was supposed to take care of her. She was finally supposed to be safe with me.” – Cynthia, to Hen Wilson
In our next scene, the 118 respond to an emergency involving a structure fire and a firefighter named Brunson who has been bitten by the homeowner’s dog. While Chimney sees to Brunson (played by Anthony Starke), the homeowner Cynthia (played by Sandra Thigpen) explains that the dog is a rescue who was once used for fighting. She is more upset about the dog being trapped inside her home which is currently on fire than she is her home. Brunson says he’s sorry he couldn’t get the dog out of the house and Cynthia apologizes for her dog biting him. Hen, being an avid animal lover, goes to check on the dog after she’s carried out of the house by another fireman. She detects movement and begins administering compressions to the dog. Okay, so maybe I’m late to the party but I didn’t know CPR worked on dogs. The dog regains consciousness and Cynthia is so happy. Brunson says to Hen that she doesn’t give up and Chimney tells him that giving up is not in her vocabulary.
“Everybody’s given up on her. I don’t want to be another name in a long list of people who have failed her.” – Hen Wilson, to Athena Grant
Hen goes to see Athena who has done some digging into Mara’s background. They learn that Mara’s parents were high school sweethearts who have criminal records going all the way back to when they were teenagers. They were both into drugs which ultimately led to their demise. They both died on the same night due to an opioid overdose. They’d been dead several hours by the time paramedics arrived. Hen asks Athena how the paramedics found them. Athena tells her someone called 911.
Hen and Karen head over to the 911 dispatch center to see Maddie. I love how we keep getting more scenes between these Maddie and Hen. I would argue that we’ve seen Hen and Maddie together more in just this season alone than the other seasons combined. Maddie plays the 911 call from the night Mara’s parents overdosed. At first no one responds to the dispatcher but eventually Mara starts talking. Mara tells him that her parents went to sleep and now they will not wake up. It was absolutely heartbreaking listening to Mara tell the dispatcher that she couldn’t feel her parents breathing. She tells him that sometimes her parents take pills that make them sleepy but they always wakeup. She wonders why they aren’t waking up this time. She begs for them to wake up. When the recording ends, Hen realizes aloud that Mara wasn’t just watching her and Karen sleep. She was worried they weren’t going to wake up. Karen says she was trying to protect them. I mean that still doesn’t make what she did to Denny okay but at least we have an explanation as to why she’s acting out and not speaking to anyone.
Eddie heads over to Buck’s to avoid going home to his own place. Buck tells him he’s going to have to go home at some point. Eddie asks if he has to. Buck reminds him that’s where he and his son lives. Eddie says that Christopher is away for the next couple of days. Speaking of Christopher, I was hoping that with him being a main part of the cast now that we’d see him more this season. Maybe he’ll factor in towards the latter half of the season. Anywho, Eddie is worried that if he goes home, Marisol will want to have sex with him. Buck tells him he’ll get through it. Eddie is worried about God watching them knock boots and Buck asks him if God was watching before Eddie learned about Marisol being a nun. Eddie says that he’s going to have to break up with her. Buck asks him if that is what he wants. Eddie says no and reminds Buck that he just asked Marisol to move in with him. He tells Buck that he and Tommy have the right idea staying single and hanging out with the boys. Oh, Eddie. You don’t know the half of it.
“This doesn’t change a thing between us. Okay?” – Eddie Diaz, to Evan Buckley
Buck finally comes clean and tells Eddie he was on a date with Tommy. Eddie is shocked that Tommy’s gay which is funny to me because one would think his first thought would be, wow, Buck, you’re bisexual? Buck figured that Tommy’s sexuality would’ve come up at some point while they were hanging out. Eddie says Tommy hasn’t said anything to him, not that it would matter. Buck says that Tommy doesn’t volunteer his sexuality, but he doesn’t hide it. Buck asks Eddie if it’s weird that he and Tommy were on a date and Eddie says absolutely not. Eddie tells Buck that nothing will change between the two of them and Buck is visibly relieved by hearing this. Buck tells him that Tommy dumped him but then remembers that he can’t be dumped if they were never together. Buck tells him that Tommy doesn’t think he’s ready to be in a relationship with a guy. Eddie asks him what he thinks. Buck says he can’t stop thinking about Tommy. Eddie tells Buck he needs to call Tommy. Eddie reminds him that Tommy doesn’t know he’s an idiot but once he does get to know him, he’ll love Buck – like they all do. But what if he says no, Buck asks. Then he’s an idiot, Eddie says. Eddie tells him not to walk away from something before he even knows what it is. Buck echoes what Eddie said earlier in the episode and tells him that’s good advice. Eddie agrees and tells Buck he needs to talk to Marisol. He gets up and heads to the door. Before he leaves, he tells Buck to come here, and the two besties hug it out. This scene was so precious. I love the chemistry between these two. I’m still not 100% sold on them being anything other than friends but I can see why others would see a scene like this and ship these two romantically. Before Eddie leaves, he reminds Buck to call Tommy. If only you could be as good of a boyfriend as you are a friend, Eddie. You would be as close to perfect as a person could get.
“Because no man has ever looked at me the same after they found out.” – Marisol, to Eddie Diaz
Eddie finally makes it back to his house right about the same time Marisol gets there. He apologizes for not coming home sooner. He asks her if she’s had anything to eat and she tells him she ate with her brother. This made me laugh because I’ve seen people on Reddit and Tumblr joke about how Marisol has more chemistry with her brother than she does with Eddie. Anywho, Marisol tells Eddie they should talk and he agrees. She tells him she have told him sooner about being a nun. He asks her why she didn’t, and she tells him that whenever she tells a guy about her past, one of two things happen. Either they get freaked out or turned on. Eddie suggests there may be a third option – the kind of guy who just needs a minute. Marisol tells him if he’s not ready for them to cohabitate, she understands. Eddie tells her he doesn’t think he’s ready for them to leave together … yet. He tells her something about him. He confesses that he has the tendency to move too fast in his relationships. He goes with his gut and lets his head catch up later. Marisol asks if that usually works out for him and he tells her no. However, this time he would really like it if it did. Eddie asks Marisol if they can start over, and she says yes. This time he wants them to take time getting to know each other. They kiss and Marisol says she can’t wait to move out. Eddie says he can’t wait either.
“Night, night.” – Mara, to Karen Wilson
At the Wilson residence, Karen goes into Mara’s room to talk to her. She says she can’t imagine how hard it is for her being in a new house with strangers. Karen says she would be scared all the time which is how she knows Mara is a very brave girl. Karen tells Mara she doesn’t have to be brave all the time. She tells her she is safe there with her, Hen, and Denny – even if she doesn’t feel like she is. She gives Mara a monitor so she can see that Karen and Hen are there and know that she is safe. She tells Mara goodnight and tells her goodnight. Hen and Karen are delighted to hear this.
“I don’t know what I’m ready for, but I am ready for something. And I think maybe that something could be with you.” – Evan Buckley, to Tommy Kinard
The next day, Buck meet up with Tommy. They exchange hellos and Buck thanks Tommy for agreeing to meet him. He tells Tommy he got him a coffee. He didn’t know how he took his coffee, so he just guessed. Tommy takes a sip and says, not like that. I love how honest Tommy is. It’s what I find so endearing about him. They both laugh and Buck says there’s a lot of things they don’t know about each other. Tommy says practically everything. Buck wants to change that but first he apologizes for how he behaved on their date. Tommy assures him he has nothing to apologize for, but Buck says he does. Tommy tells him no again and explains that he didn’t cut their date short because Buck behaved badly. He cut it short because he didn’t want to pressure Buck. Buck admits that how he acted is not one of his proudest moments. Buck brings up how Tommy said he wasn’t ready. He tells Tommy that he doesn’t know what he’s ready for but he is ready for something. He believes that maybe that something could be with Tommy. Tommy says that Buck already knows he’s interested. Buck invites him to come to Maddie’s wedding. Tommy laughs but quickly realizes that Buck is serious. Buck tells him that he wants him to be his date. When Tommy said Evan, I swooned. Buck tells him that he already knows half the people that will be at the wedding and says that Maddie is eager to meet him. I love how Tommy is always checking to make sure Buck is okay with everything they are doing. He asks Buck if he’s sure and Buck says he is. He tells Tommy he’ll need someone to dance with. Tommy says okay. They hold hands and Buck looks so happy I could just scream. “What was it, pastel and puke?” – Maddie Buckley, to Evan Buckley and Eddie Diaz
In our final scene, we flash-forward to Maddie and Chimney’s wedding. We see Athena looking absolutely radiant seated next to Bobby. We see Maddie in her wedding dress freaking out over Chimney, Buck, and Eddie being a half an hour late. Maddie’s dad (played by Gregory Harrison) is trying to call Buck but keeps getting his voicemail. Hen arrives in looking absolutely stunning in a black tux. She tells Maddie that Buck’s car just pulled up. Maddie is relieved and asks if Chimney is with them. Hen tells her she isn’t sure. She didn’t see. Buck and Eddie arrive looking like something the proverbial cat drug in. I love their pastel blazer. Eddie’s in a pink suit with no shirt on for some reason. Not that I’m complaining. Buck has on all white with a green blazer. Maddie asks them why they’re dressed like that. Buck says they were at a themed party. Eddie says the puke on his jacket isn’t his. Maddie tells them to get changed and asks them about Chimney. Buck tells her it’s complicated.
Wow, what another incredible episode. I like how the theme of not knowing someone carried out throughout the episode. This season continues to deliver on the character development front. Some have complained that there’s not enough emergencies this season, but I don’t care. I’ve always preferred the drama of the characters over the actual emergencies. I think the show does a good job of balancing those two things. Hell, it’s only been five episodes and we’ve dealt with a drunk driver, an airplane crashing into a house, a cruise ship capsizing and a guy going ape shit on himself. That’s plenty of emergency for me.
Speaking of balance, I think the show is doing a good job of balancing our main characters’ storyline. The first three episodes dealt with Athena and Buck. The last two episodes have been about Buck, Hen, and Eddie. I feel like the next episodes will deal with Maddie and Chimney. Speaking of Buck, I am very pleased with the direction his character is going. I was watching an episode from season one and it’s remarkable how far he’s come since then. The same goes with Hen. In season one, I wasn’t sure if her relationship with Karen was going to go the distance but here we are seven years later and they’re still together, better than ever, and fostering kids in addition to raising Denny. Then we have Eddie. I am so happy Bobby called him out on his bullshit. I’ve watched people online make excuses for Eddie’s behavior while pointing the finger at Shannon. I’ve never understood how people could be so angry at Shannon for leaving Christopher but turn a blind eye to the fact that Eddie has openly admitted to signing up for another tour of duty because he wasn’t ready to deal with being a husband and a father. Having Marisol move out is a good decision although I wish he never asked her to move in to begin with. It creates more baggage for her. Hopefully, Eddie will take additional steps to figure out why he sucks at relationships. It's so funny to me because I see so many folks online who swear up and down that Eddie and Buck are going to be together by the end of this season. Yet, none of them have ever taken the time to consider that if Eddie is bad with Shannon, Ana, and now with Marisol, why would things be any different with Buck? Also, I do not want Eddie to interfere with Buck’s bisexual awakening. In fact, outside of them being just two friends supporting each other, I would like to see them embark on their separate journeys alone and maybe rely on others for advice.
Well, unfortunately it looks like we will not be getting a new episode until May 2nd. I checked my calendar and May 2nd isn’t as far away as I thought. Having 9-1-1 on a brief hiatus will allow me some time to revisit some older episodes and rewatch the five episodes from this season. The thing about 9-1-1, much like Golden Girls and Schitt’s Creek, it will never get old to me. So, maybe I’ll start at the very beginning (again) so I can better appreciate how far our beloved characters have come. Until next time …

FOP: A New Wish e16?, 18-22
well would you lookit that, new episodes. thanks internet for telling me...since i don't watch cable live...but man, we are starting the wonky releasing aren't we? e17 was e16, but now e16 is 2 episodes after e17?? the more things change, the more they stay the same eh? lol
Episode 16: Lost and Founder's Day
yeah like i said, wonky episode ordering. i know they sometimes air out of production order, but this? this is also a full 22 min episode?? nice. i guess that's why it's so out of order...wouldn't have that problem if you didn't split 22 min eps into 11 min ones, just saying...
huh, and description is saying that Dale is the new Crocker...yeah, i can easily see that...it's the plot of s2 of the Santa Clauses
so story time proper now
oh right the Dimmadome hat, because Doug founded the town, du how'd i forget that.
aww Dev is still glasses-less. but lol smart watch that can't tell time, classic
pfffft the mentioning of Poof and Cosmo's slip of the tongue, that's great. nice that they acknowledge that Cosmo had him. but wait, did they just admit that they left him alone for 10,000 years while on vacation? it hasn't been 10,000 years...but still, you left your son at boarding school this entire time??? guys
oh hey recurring wish characters, just chilling in the wild, not drawing any attention for weirdness...why'd Mark have to hide in the past again
pfft Dimm n' Out Burgers
Doug got gold in 1953...the original series was like mid 90s...???
oh Hazel's gonna wish for others, now we're pulling Live Action plots...but also Wishmas...but also standard, and was that the standard kid hurray that FNaF uses??
dawww Dev :( i mean i know we knew the statute wasn't gonna be good, but poor Dev. and wow laying on the Poof referencing heavy; if i hadn't been spoiled that he's returning it wouldn't be a surprise because that is not foreshadowing, that's a neon sign
and hat montage...ok...at least it's not a musical number i guess...and it is a nice commercial break spot, because *double length episode*
heh snarky Dev. but also daww protecting Hazel
and dawww 3rd act breakup?? Dev hunny
but now we have terminator founders' day statues. this is getting crazy again, and i love it
ha! callback to the "oh great the wand not working noise". also callback to Cosmo was right
pfft "Dill Pickle Dimmadome". just a dumb joke, or Rugrats shoutout, you decide!
huh just now realizing that the non-Roman Dimmadome was French, very obviously a French trapper, so...are the Dimmadomes also Canadian?
dawwww Hazel be nice to Dev! he did save you
HEY! Poof is back! yes, yes, he's Peri now; very grown up, not a questionable foreign slur, i know. and he's Dev's fairy????? ok i did not see that how he came back; i expected him in an episode or two. but how interesting that the spoiled rich kid who's parents don't love him gets the purple fairy...again...
well, i guess i can see why this was produced as e16, but aired after e18 since that's sort of a big plot point
Episode 18: Work Her Magic
so chronologically this should be before Lost and Founder's Day...lets see is that matters. because this series does have some ongoing continuity to it...
synopsis has the standard plot of kid thinks parent is overworking so wants to spend time with them. doesn't sound like Add-a-Dad, so that's good
adult Hazel design? huh
heh the puppet replacement is back...and having an existential crisis??? O.o this show man...i love it
hey design for Antony
interesting montage
wait what was the name of the building??? E-Lidder+Acey Publishing. oh, ok, it went by so fast i thought it was E-Leddy, as in similar to Mr Turner's boss at the pencil pushed factory office thing. idt there's a connection, carry on
there's no Un-Wish Island for Hazel, but instead a cosmic void...filled with neon glitter...Mad Muse Mythos??? O.o
ah well, the ending was good enough. this was a low magic, personal growth episode, which is always grade a good. but you know...i feel like there could be a wish uprising in the future, just like Un-Wish Island...oh and no, idt this being aired out of order in comparison to Lost and Founders Day matters at all
Episode 19: Crock to the Future
so many pun titles, i am loving it. but Crocker is back??? did he get demoted to janitor after his affair with Vicky (heh yes i will never forget the worst part of Odder, and neither will any of you so it will never happen again)(also this is NOT the Odder timeline so i know there's no correlation...other than the cosmic multiverse deciding to punish him for eth actions in an alternate reality lol). but...since the internet spoiled that there's an adult AJ, this is sort of a missed opportunity to have it be adult Kevin...not that i want Kev to be a carbon copy of Crocker, but still. would help narrow the timeline more (gimme adult Chloe! gimme proof there's no Sparky!!), seeing as Poof is grown and present, so we know it's not a Channel Chasers timeline...
anywhos, actual episode!
AJ!!! Anthony James Junior is AJ's full name??? and he's into Paranormal Science/ uh...that doesn't really track, but AJ!?
but also, claiming that the experts said a ghost containment unit was impossible...so this is not the same universe as DP, since that is confirmed as possible. i know it wasn't really a connected universe before, but confirmation that they are separate is nice...though i say that and watch as Jack and Maddie end up in a background shot coming up lol
wow their paranormal detector works
AJ!! "remember him from the original series?" lol but yeah this has got to be 20 years in the future minimum...
hey there's Mark and his ship on that mural!
IT'S CROCKER!!!!!! and he looks so OLD! zomr i love it, he looks so much like Dolores and Albert. and he still has the FaIrYgOdPaReNtS!!
huh we acknowledge that Crocker was their godkid, nice
Wanda, why would you think Crocker covering eth building in a net is impossible? he afforded to do that back on a teacher's salary, he can certainly do that on a janitor's
Timmy name drop!
so Crocker does this every year...AJ knows his old teacher works for him. neat!
well this was actually a very fun cameo episode! i highly approve!! shame Kev didn't show up to pick Crocker up at the end, and it'd mimic how Denzel was with Dolores, but better since Kev isn't fairy crazy...i liked Kev lol
Episode 20: Battle of the Dimmsonian
description says Dev and Hazel magic battle. so...it's Remy Rides Again
oooo Dev's the wishy-washy wisher, that's neat. it goes to show that even he doesn't know what eh wants or needs
waitwiatwait "remember episode 13 when i was horse and you were a cowboy hat" e13 of NW was Stany Danky and was there cowboy wear in that? e13 of the original series was Christmas Everyday and...no i think it was only Maria that was a cowboy there. hm.....
oh are they going to follow the "fairy godparents can't out other fairy godkids" rule??
Brindle Folk people lived in Dimmadelphia before settlement huh? ad they have a lot of antlers...and a spirit named Viozalia...and that looks like a portal....otter-deer fae nice (i see what you meant saying i had a lot to work with in these new episodes lol)
hey that looks like a ghost portal...fae spirit...yeah that tracks...heh called her a demi-god wow. wrath of the underworld? what is this show?? i love it!!
hehe Viozalia tricking Dev into giving her the staff; classic fae.
"what to do if your kid tries to start the ghost apocalypse" that is actually a thing that they though could happen/has happened before?? also ghost apocalypse, and child possession, this is amazing
the family reveal was fun lol
dawww Dev not knowing how friendships work
hehe Ghostbusters references all around
that was actually a really good episode. very enjoyable, plot progressive, character progressive, very spoopy. A+ team
Episode 21: Patty Possum's Party Playground
is that a FNaF reference??? and did they forget that they already have Mikey Mozzarella's?? and description says Hazel wishes eth animatronics to life...it is FNaF holy crap!!!
Patty Possum looks like a female Mikey Mozzarella...
and if Winn watched her show in daycare, it's at least a 5 year old franchise
man i love Ski-Ball
Patty invited the children onto the stage to be her new posse...she's gonna try to keep them isn't she...
ah another instance of Cosmo and Wanda being idiots and loosing their wands the most stupid way because if they didn't there'd be no plot
haha yup there it is, she's keeping those children. time to survive until 6 am kids
wait what was the tunnel graffiti?? Miss you Mom...with 25 tick marks and a skeleton, oh...i thought it was something cooler. carry on
ok i am so into this musical number. the background music is actually going good this ep
dawww lesson of the week time; friends are friends even when they are apart
oh no the possum is stealing not-Timmy to stuff him into a suit to be the new turtle or something! lol
ok, so this was fun. didn't go as dark as the other spoopy episodes, but it was still fun, and filled with fodder.
Episode 22: A Date to Remember
this one's description sounds like a Lovestruck light...but hey more returning characters!
oh actually it seems like it's got some Apartnership mixed in too actually...huh...neat
hey, Cosmo's referencing their first date from "Floating with You" from School's Out: The Musical. you guys did your homework a bunch
wait she made that wish...oh geeze Hazel Marty McFlyed herself...oh wait no, not time traveling, but basically yeah
heehee 2d versions of stuff that happened, love it
what happened to Cupid?? O.o this character is like, 100% different than the original. are we saying that Cupid isn't a person but an office/title now? so this isn't the same Cupid?? redoing Father Time was since since he wasn't a highly established character, but Cupid was, and since we had April Fool reffs it's not like you guys never saw OG Cupid
all the sports jokes are going over my head. i don't sport ball.
but you know, the message that love isn't just a point game, and that Angela still had free will to choose despite the game saying otherwise, that's great.
so other than the confusing character...it was ok
Episode 23: Lost in Fairy World
the kids get lost and fairies have to find them before Jorgen finds out? is it now illegal to bring your godkids to Fairy World?? i mean, tat should've been a rule from the start, but why now?
heehee family brunch of candy. and Dev's first Fairy World exposure, nice. but you know what, this is actually really cute and clever setup giving Peri to Dev. Dev's an only child with an absent father (and no mother in sight), so he gets a single godparent. BUT he also happens to also get 2 grand-godparents and a godsister/aunt in the form of Hazel. Dev gets the big loving family he wants so badly. meanwhile, Hazel started this by loosing her brother's friendship when he moved away, and feeling distant from her parents; well she got herself 2 more godparents for the attention, and now has a godbrother and godnefew/goduncle and godcousin/brother (i know technically it works one way but the dynamics of the personal interactions feel the other so just role with it). she's gotten back her family she thought she lost. this was really good story telling here.
anywhos, Fairy World!! oooo map...with several locations....ooooooooooooo
Cosmo and Wanda being over bearing parents to Peri is great. and Peri saying Dev's his first godkid...eh...i guess he's technically right since we only saw him assigned to Dolores in Fairly Old Parent before...
ok we're going on a world tour! first stop: Star Dome. it's...a wand garden? i feel like we established wand production in the past but i can't recall when... second stop: Rainbow Highway. not much to it third stop: Dollfins. it's...dolphins, but dolls...wut? this seems silly fourth stop: Wings n' Thangs. it's a factory...mk...well since Norm did have wings stapled onto his back i guess wing manufacturing is a thing
Jorgen seems stupider than he used to be...i blame the sweater vest
the kids unwished themselves? wait what?? THAT'S the Hocus Poconos?? Wish storage...Unwish Island...the glitter void where the puppet went...is that this place??? I...hu...and there is an Un-wish dragon. i...hm...
pfft ok i'll give the dragon the meta joke, that was funny
and i guess this new system does make sense, seeing as Timmy got Un-Wish Island because his Wish Storage was over willed, so dumping the unwishes in a designated area with something to destroy them does make sense. now i'm hoping there's a rebel Gary here and we go Mad Max with a smattering of other unwishes lol
pffft Fredanator head, nice. i guess it's cameo time....holy crap that was a skeletal snake!Vicky in a milkshake glass O.o show!! i love you
wait ate a godkid again?? O.o!!!!
lol Dev learning no lessons. he's trying guys, he's learning...slowly lol
ok not a bad episode. very much a cameo game. still loving this show, looking forward to next week's crop.

Hirogaru Sky Impressions (2/5)
Full starting team now assembled. Yay~!
That said, I'm going to keep this "short" as I'm not feeling well. Also got some other things I need to finish but I can't concentrate on that if I don't get this post done and out of the way first.
Overall, the season is continuing to be a very delightful watch. I'm pleased with the pacing and that the writers are diligent about not giving away too much of the main plot just yet. There will be a proper time to dive into that later.
In the meantime, dedicating all the fillers to further fleshing out the Cures and building their team rapport and bonds with each other are exactly what we should always see from Precure.
Sora certainly holds the MC role the most prominently out of all her friends since her arc is tied closely to the main plot. So it's just a matter of waiting until the story returns to that for her arc to move forward. Namely, the reason behind the conflict between Skyland and the Undergu Empire (aka this season's lore), what Ellee-chan's significance is in the grand scheme of things and where the hell Captain Shalala is.
Though I think most of us have already theorized that her sudden disappearance is a setup for the eventual reveal that she is actually in league with the villains and will re-emerge as the third general. Or perhaps even the big bad boss because c'mon, you don't hire a veteran seiyuu like Mitsuki Saiga for only two or so episodes and call it a day.
Villain roles are mostly performed by well-established seiyuu in the industry so we can definitely expect Shalala to return in a fashion that would shake Sora's core beliefs (i.e. the broken pedestal trope). Which will then push her to re-evaluate what it means to be a true hero and come back even stronger after recovering from the shock.
On another note, I have my doubts whether Shalala is really the boss because the superior we heard Kabaton conversing with in ep 11 is actually voiced by Takako Honda, another veteran, and not Mitsuki Saiga.
...maybe Shalala is playing a double agent in order to get close to the Undergu leader and get rid of the threat once and for all that way?
Possible. But we don't have enough clues or evidence to confirm that yet so we'll just have to wait.
On another note, I like that they're doing something new again with this season by having the villain generals retire from their post right after their last defeat. Not sure if Kabaton will return as an ally in later episodes or not but it was heartwarming to see him turn over a new leaf and aim for a new and better purpose after he's been spared from death.
Back to the Cures.
Sora and Mashiro's friendship is just beautiful to behold. Thanks to Sora's arc being set aside for the moment, there's more time to focus on developing their relationship. Noticeably, it's during these fillers that Sora has increasingly become the one to support Mashiro rather than the other way around while Mashiro takes her own lead in finding her own path and discovering what she wants to do and what her dreams are (so yes, she isn't a Cure without a personal story arc, that's such a relief!).
Their partnership is quite balanced in that respect and I couldn't be happier.
Adding onto it, they're continuing to pay tribute to the original Futari Wa pair through Sora and Mashiro this way without disrupting the team camaraderie which is also a plus.
Tsubasa and Ageha as the beta pair provide very fun interactions, too, and I think I favor them over Sora and Mashiro. Whereas Sora and Mashiro are best friends who strive to do their best for each other, Tsubasa and Ageha have a more sibling dynamic between them with all the fond teasing and nagging.
The only complaint I have about them is their duo attack.
I mean yea, Wing looks so cool in his phoenix form (I'm calling it that, you can't stop me) but that shouldn't be a trade off for Butterfly getting all the lines while he becomes her nuclear pudgy mount.
I'm afraid that for all the progressiveness Toei has shown with HiroSky, they're still too chicken to go the full mile with the changes they implemented just yet.
We took two steps forward by finally including a male member to the main team...but took one step back with them still placing more importance on the girl cuz it's easier to sell her than the boy when their positions should be equal.
Granted, it's just one stock footage that only lasts about a minute but...it just bugs me, that's all.
That said, Butterfly's debut was omg, so awesome?!
The whole transformation sequence captured Ageha's vivacious personality perfectly.
She was already more than qualified to become Precure with her natural confidence and heroic drive. To see her slip right into the call like a duck taking to water (or er, a butterfly to the air) and then proceed to kick utter ass in her alter ego form...
Absolutely WONDERFUL.
I also love that though they constantly refer to Ageha as an adult and regularly show her dedication to her studies and jobs, they don't let her duties be the only things that define her.
Yes, she is mature and responsible but she's also living her best life and enjoying herself right now. She's interested in fashion, make up and has other personal interests outside her aspirations. She looks out for the kids who are younger than her while also having fun alongside them.
Yes, she's 18 and still in her youth but the point about Ageha/Butterfly's character is that there's no limit on choosing what you want for yourself. Just like how gender should not be an obstacle to becoming a magical girl (the metaphor for one's dreams and wishes), age shouldn't be one either.
Wear the accessories you want, pursue the hobbies you like, dance and sing without a care in the world.
As long as you're not hurting anyone, do what you find is fulfilling for you and do it without shame. You can be 30, 50, or 80 years old and that shouldn't matter in loving what you love.
Be like Ageha.
Act your age but don't be that. Be yourself foremost.
And that's all for now, I guess.
I suspect that midseason Cure debut will happen sometime before ep 30 so that we can have the ultimate forms + whole group power up attack around ep 40.
And then the remaining 8 episodes will center more or less around the main plot.
K, bye for now.

Hi! I’m not sure if you’ve been asked this before but, what are your top 5 BL’s that you watched this year?
Oh, good question! I've watched so many BL's this year :) How do I choose 5!?!?!?
In no particular order because I can't decide:
Love in the Air
I adore Love in the Air, I liked it right from seeing the trailers and it never let me down. Both couples are amazing for various reasons. The PrapaiSky story was well done and I'm a little in love with Peat. But I have to say I think Payu and Rain are one of my favourite couples from this year and have quickly solidified their place in the favourite couples ever category. I loved their relationship and the D/s elements, how it progressed, how they showed a functioning healthy D/s relationship.
Plus the chemistry between Boss and Noeul is outstanding. Top Tier. I could watch them kiss for hours. I WILL CRY IF THEY DON'T DO A NEW SERIES TOGETHER!!!!
Kinnporsche
What can I say about Kinnporsche. One of the best series I have seen, nevermind it being a BL! I came into KP just before it was released so didn't have all the waiting some people did! Phenomenal casting, I don't think there was a bad choice there. Production values are off the charts. Great how they managed to balance the Mafia story with the comedy elements. I am torn about wanting a second season. I mean I'd love to see more and yet live in fear of them not achieving the same level. Sometimes it's best to let it be! Also another entry with a favourite couple of VegasPete, complicated but fantastic relationship. BibleBuild are amazing together and another pairing I hope to see again.
Semantic Error
And we have a Korean entry. This is one of my suggestions to anyone just getting into BL. It made me laugh, the chemistry between Park Seoham and Park Jaechan is amazing. I actually had no idea who they were or that they were in K-pop bands before watching this.
I particularly liked Park Jaechan's portrayal of SangWoo. I read it as SangWood being Neurodivergent and I personally think it's brilliant, especially with the way Park Seoham's JaeYoung reacts to SangWoo. Sometimes frustrated but most of the time accepting and learning to adapt to his thought process.
Old Fashion Cupcake
For our Japanese entry, we have Old Fashion Cupcake. This one hit differently. I've been dying for some BL with older characters and they delivered. What more could you want than a 29-year-old chasing and wooing a 39-year-old who doesn't realise it and also discovers his queerness later in life! It's beautifully done and nice to see people still reaching for something and achieving it when they are full-grown adults! Because you know that's life.
Choco Milk Shake
They sucked us in with the kinky D/s promo photo's and I fell for it! But this has been such an amazing series. Originally slated for a 10-episode run they changed the airing of the last 3 episodes and have snuck in an extra episode! Episode 11 is due to air on the 20th Dec. Episode 10 is 100% the original ending but I think they realised how popular it was and maybe wanted to squeeze out another episode. Plus I know how people reacted to the Kissable Lips ending, maybe Strongberry doesn't want the same outcome!
The casting choices were outstanding. Lee JaeBin is completely believable as a puppy in human form and Kim SeongHyuk as a cat in human form is spot on. Seriously they nailed the mannerisms of a dog and cat.
Interesting how such a comedic show with a comedic premise also somehow manages to deal with loss, grief, and loneliness.
Some honorable mentions: The Miricle of Teddy Bear, Cutie Pie, Dear Doctor, I'm Coming for Soul, Big Dragon, The Eclipse, Plus and Minus, Kei X Yaku, Secret Crush on You
And because they are not finished yet I'll reserve the right to include Between Us, and 609 Bedtime Story at a later date! :)

For the video gaymer ask meme: 1-8
platform of choice when gaming
not to be annoying but sony is the console manufacturer i prefer. in a perfect world sony would not be the best of the big three and would instead easily be the worst. but we live in a society that does not value men who. how does the full quote go idk it
2. top 5 games of all time
in ascending order: shin megami tensei: persona 3, sonic adventure 2: battle, fire emblem, phantasy star online: episode I and II plus, shin megami tensei: nocturne. the top 2 have been fairly set in stone for several years now, and the remaining 3 have fluctuated among the top 10 or so but this feels most correct. sad that the 6th place snub is FFXII 💔
3. favorite boss
NONE OF THEM!!!! #antiwork anyways i'm not sure what i would use as a criteria for this. i think i'm gonna go with the master from fallout because it really is just the most well done encounter in any RPG imo. if there's a "favorite final boss" question i'll kms because this would be my answer for that one.
4. favorite OST
here since i already answered this i'll just isolate some of my favorite tracks off the top of my head: "Dark Samus Boss Fight" - Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, "Miller Ball Breakers" - Jet Set Radio, "Kopfsprung" - Ever17, "You Blow My Mind" - Street Fighter III: Third Strike, "This is True Love Makin'" - Capcom vs. SNK 2, "Distant Travels" - Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, "Climbing to the Top" - Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, "Hoist the Sword with Pride in the Heart" - Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City, "Their Own Brand of Justice" - Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City (yes it gets two entries. fatlus, remember), "Demon of Darkness" - Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, "Septentrione" - Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2, "Changing Seasons" - Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3, "Lovely Gate 3" - Sonic Adventure 2, and, if you've actually read this entire list, we must end with the classic "NO MORE NO MORE HEROES" - No More Heroes.
5. most memorable game moment
any time i see this prompt on asks like this my mind immediately and distinctly goes to one of the plot twists of zero time dilemma, specifically one regarding D team. i won't say what it is, but all i will say is that it had me going "SHUT THE FUCK UP. . . NO FUCKING WAY" for like 5 mins straight. the ending of drv3 is also up there on the same level of memorable.
6. first game you ever played
probably the original super mario bros. on NES at a family member's house. it's much harder to delineate what was the first game i meaningfully played on my own. i'm tempted to say something like mario kart 64.
7. most recent game you've played
trying to catch a calm lilleep from the dreamworld in white 2. before that, i was mat duping in PSO all of yesterday. i had 5 characters to do mat plans for, including TP materials (i got them with action replay. idgaf if you call that cheating because not having access to an entire material offline is stupid. 🤪). i had to stop at like 11:30 last night due to getting tired, but i only have like 400ish mats left to do, which is pretty decent all things considered.
8. most anticipated upcoming game
is "none of them" an answer? jkjkjkjkjk i wouldn't say i'm actively anticipating anything but i guess by default metaphor re:fantazio because i pre-ordered it and know nothing about it. i'm more interested in seeing what the fuck it's gonna be than i would say anything else. metroid prime 4 seems like an easy candidate for hype so i'm staying cautious. i never really wanted the prime trilogy to get a sequel and would've rather they just do their own thing like they did with dread. oh well.

Manner of Death rewatch ep 11-14 (finale)
The thing about MoD's story structure and pacing is that they really want the viewer to suspect, but not want to suspect, love interest Tan for the first 3/4ths of the drama. It's a romantic suspense setup where Tan is attractive but dangerous... and attractive because he's dangerous.
Once this culminates in ep 10-11 with the reveal of the true antagonists, now the story focus flips over from romantic suspense to mostly pure suspense. Our otp is solid and just trying to get out of this alive & together. It makes a rewatch of the final 4 episodes pretty fast because you can speed thru the case stuff.
In my rewatch I've been directing stronger attention to the brothers' minor relationship arc, which I wasn't really tracking the first time around (as I presumed mob boss Por was gonna just end up as a minor jailed baddy).
Now that I have KP Chay's frequent, "Hia!" in my brain, it pings a bit harder whenever Tan directs it to Por with a plaintive edge. This low level criminal boss who almost killed him a couple episodes earlier is indeed the only family Tan has left. Tan trusted enough in that to tie his man to a staircase and show up in Por's mansion o' thugs to try to break thru to him face 2 face. LOL can u believe this murder case actually fixed their fucked up half-sibling relationship.
When it looks like the 3 teens are about to get GOT by the corrupt commander's officer and then pop! A shower of blood and its big brother Por standing there with his gun like the most menacing hero 🙌
Then he shows up at the couple's hiding stop with some handy stolen evidence and is like, "right now you're fugitives wanted by the police"
ok, fuck, I guess he IS your hia. 🤔
That scene where our otp watch the horrific proof of who killed Jane and even Por is like DAMN. I'm like, that's right bitch, this is why we don't murder our siblings ok it is not cool.
Somehow I find this all hilarious.
And then Por gets kidnapped! "Hia!" engaged. "Don't worry about me! Release the video!" wow, big brother, we've come such a long way in 4 episodes.
But then Tan is ready to risk it all, including his true love, in order to save his bro so.
The family that faces death together, stays together? 🤔
ah, Corrupt cop arrives for the rescue to kill the even more corrupt cop! YAY! He plugs that dude so full of lead he could serve as a paperweight. Nice.
MoD has a bit of that Vampire Diaries vibe, where the practical answer is always to align yourself with the lesser monsters.
Drugging & trafficking young girls under 15 is the greater evil. Even dirty cops & mobsters agree: let's scrub these scum out of our sketchy town and get back those "grey areas" everyone is comfortable with.
Very realistic that the congressman gets away. But 2 out of 3 isn't bad.
Tan and the other henchmen catch our villianess at the border and bring her back for Por to deliver a thematically appropriate murder. 👌
The less said about the psychotic proposal the better. But the kids are back in class and Tan is back to his teaching day job. And a man actually agreed to marry him after meeting him in the woods, being told he's on an errand for his mob boss brother, and running off with him to be held at gunpoint yet again. But just kidding! (Bun, this is the 1st day of the rest of your life: that hot man lying to you AGAIN.)
That's true love.
#my advice for ur rewatch: invest in that brother relationship#it added a spice#i really hope they do occasional family dinners#still bitter that the teen hechman x friendly student couple stayed subtext#normally i never care about teen couples when the main PoV is adults#but damn thai dramas got me again#first Tod x Black now this bullshit#whyyyyyyyy#fine fine fine#im over it#MoD is still a great batshit good time for all#highly recommend as long as you enjoy highly problemmatic characters#kisses#manner of death#silvia watches#drama watching

Stargate-Atlantis S2: 10 & 11: Lost Boys and The Hive
For some reason, in my head, this episode came much later in this season, but here it is...exactly where it should be. We've had Ford and Ronon contrasted, and Ford and Sheppard, but now we get Ford's story ended. I'll admit, when I saw this episode the first time, I thought for sure we'd be seeing Ford again, but this time through,I know that's not the case. This is Ford's end, and I'll be honest, at the moment he calls Sheppard boss, I think it is a good ending. I think this is a redemption arc. And yes, I did cry.
Watching Lost Boys is a roller-coaster. You really feel for Ford as he desperately tries in all the wrong ways to re-earn Sheppard's respect. At first, you kinda like him and his guys. They're brave, cocky, out to fight the Wraith. But then they go in the first mini-mission and prove they don't hardly care about each other. They just run in with no plan. They're reckless and don't care or count the cost. Ford does the same on the big mission. He's trying to win Sheppard's trust, but he's not thinking the plan through and all that could go wrong. Finally, Sheppard calls him a snot nosed brat, and that's exactly what Ford is. His hopped-up arrogance has not only gotten his own men killed but has put Sheppard's team in danger. The moment when the Wraith take Sheppard and Ronon stares Ford down: "he dies, you die," says it all.
That's loyalty.
And I think that's when things finally start getting through to Ford.
Also, this episode is full of little signs that's that Sheppard and McKay are rebuilding trust, and it's great. Still got each others backs.
Also, Lorne. 😁
The Hive:
Okay, can we just bask in the greatness of Rodney doing what had to be done to save his people. I love Rodney because he seems so weak and cowardly, but he's solid when the chips are down.
Ford is still blaming everyone else for his own failure. Then, "I'll hold the Wraith back, boss." 😭
Sheppard refuses to leave Ford, and then Ford uses his first name. 😭 At the end, Sheppard says he believes Ford is still alive, but it's a belief he has to hold onto for his own sanity.
The whole getting the Wraith ships to fight, the way the theme plays like the saddest of songs when Rodney and Lorne think they've lost everyone, and then when Sheppard, Ronon, and Teyla walk through the stargate? Solid gold. And again, this whole episode is proof that Sheppard is way smarter than he lets on.
I really love Ford's whole story because it's sad and troubling, but ultimately, he remembers who he is and who his friends are and lays his life down for then.

Giraffe's Eye View: Christmas Specials Special (2023) | ADVENT INDEX
Chestnuts are roasting on an open fire. Jack Frost is nipping at your nose. Mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again. All the dogs in the neighborhood somehow learned to bark Jingle Bells in sync. Yet retail workers are still more annoyed with Mariah Carey. Snow is getting shoveled, tossed, and formed into sentient beings leading parades without permits. It makes for an excellent distraction as the Krampus abducts children for bad behavior. Fruitcake is exchanged only to find its permanent home in the garbage. Terrorists have hijacked the Holiday office party right before your boss can give you a Jelly of the Month Club membership as your bonus. And of course, the Turducken has returned to wreak its fiery vengeance upon an unsuspecting world! If all this doesn’t put you in the Christmas spirit, perhaps these following Holiday specials will!
Greetings people of today and robots of tomorrow! It is I, Santa Clark, your geeky giraffe friend with a deep love of Christmas! My obsession for the yuletide is rivaled only by Maleficent’s hatred for it, which is saying a lot considering she once teamed up with Mad Madam Mim to kidnap the literal Spirit of Christmas. Yes, that really happened. I know this due to my annual pilgrimage to the Island of Misfit Specials, home to obscure or nerdy festive media ranging from movies, TV episodes, and comics. It’s no easy journey. Constantly I find myself confronted by sinister snowmen, genocidal gingerbread men, and worst of all, crappy commercials. Getting stabbed in the foot by a candy-cane wielding cookie is one thing, but I swear I’ve seen that ad for Wilbur’s White Elephant Gift Emporium more times than I’ve seen Miracle on 34th Street! Sometimes at night I catch myself reciting that jingle. Wilbur’s White Elephant Gift Emporium: Where Christmas meets Convenience! Huh, maybe Maleficent had a point.
Nah, my deep-rooted appreciation for this time of year can weather even the most moronic marketing! It helps that most of the merry media I’ve seen have put me in the perfect Holiday mood! Examples include the time a Ninja Turtle found himself trapped in a truck full of stollen toys, a drunk department store Santa stumbling onto a wish-granting magic bag, Big Bird nearly becoming a popsicle, Gwenpool waking up in a world where Galactus took the place of jolly ol’ Saint Nicholas, a terrifying tree stump trying to slaughter some saps over a stupid ship war, and the year when Death gave the Little Match Girl the greatest gift of all. Needless to say, I thought I had seen it all. That is, until I took my friends on a trip to the Island, tasking them to find me new, strange, seasonal specials to review! Some of them were fair, finding me festive favorites as comforting as coco in front of the fireplace. Others were fiendish, wanting to feed off my misery like Gremlins after midnight. Regardless of how naughty or nice my companions were, I’ve compiled all of their suggestions into a makeshift advent calendar! So stay tuned everyday until Christmas to see how badly my buddies can shred what little sanity I have left.

Super Bomberman R: Bomberman TV - Round 2 (video + partial transcript)
youtube
Originally aired on March 27, 2017. Hosted by Tetsuya Yanagihara (Magnet Bomber) and Yoshiyuki Hirai (Golem Bomber). The guests are Genki Okawa (Blue Bomber) and “Setobon,” a Konami employee.
There was initially a comment here about how, as with the first video, we’ve refrained from doing a full transcription and instead focused on the parts that might be relevant or more interesting to bomberfans in order to get this out in a timely manner...but then this post languished as a draft for basically six years because I kept forgetting about it. Oops. 🤣
But! It does remain true that this is a partial transcription. Parts we left out include but are not limited to:
Some things that seemed like more or less common knowledge about the game at this point in terms of features
Some things that just didn’t seem too important in the entire scheme of things
A fair amount of conversational filler
If someone else is able to do a full transcript of this video (and the previous one), by all means take the wheel from Jesus. (Or the Angel? We’re not entirely sure who’s in charge anymore.)
As always, muchos arigatous to the Base’s resident translator minion Bomber D. Rufi for providing the translation.
SEGMENT #1: (0:00 - 4:32)
Yanagihara and Hirai introduce themselves, remind the viewers that Super Bomberman R is out now, and introduce the guests: Blue Bomber’s seiyuu and a Konami employee.
(0:35) HIRAI: My dream is to be a voice actor!
(0:39) YANAGIHARA: That’s kinda old news, man. Bringing that over from the first episode makes it old news.
(1:04) HIRAI: So last time we had White’s voice actor Koumoto-san and Aqua’s voice actor Takahashi-san on the show.
(1:09) HIRAI + ON-SCREEN TEXT: They were a pretty uneven combination, yeah?
(1:11) HIRAI: The eldest son and youngest daughter.
(1:15) YANAGIHARA: Yeah, the big brother and little sister.
(1:20) YANAGIHARA: And now this time around we have this person sitting in with us...if you’d please?
(1:25) OKAWA: Hello, I’m Blue’s voice actor, Genki Okawa, nice to meet you.
(1:28) YANAGIHARA: Ah, Genki-chan. [NOTE: Yanagihara addresses/refers to Okawa as “Genki-chan,” with -chan being an honorific of cuteness and/or familiarity. Possibly they know each other from something else? Especially since they’re apparently on a first-name basis.]
(1:35) YANAGIHARA: So Genki-chan, who plays Blue, is here, along with someone else...
(1:43) SETOBON: Nice to meet you! I’m Setobon from Konami.
(1:49) HIRAI: She’s from Konami...
(1:50) YANAGIHARA: Right, a Konami employee.
(1:53) HIRAI: Right, so, Ms. Setobon, what is it that you do at Konami?
(1:55) SETOBON: Usually I’m in charge of promoting Super Bomberman R.
(2:02) HIRAI: So you’re putting in time all over the place, huh?
(2:10) SETOBON: I guess you could say I’m the chief of Bomberman, or something like that.
(2:25) YANAGIHARA: So, y’know, it’s said that she’s the best at Bomberman out of all the staff.
(2:26) HIRAI: That’s some pretty high praise. Are you that good?
(2:34) SETOBON: Well...
(2:35) HIRAI: How good are you, really?
(2:37) SETOBON: I was able to defeat a boss with one hand.
(2:41) HIRAI: You’re that good?
(2:43) YANAGIHARA: She was able to use the Switch like this.
(2:53) YANAGIHARA: She’s strong and cute.
(3:15) OKAWA + ON-SCREEN TEXT: Dude, I don’t belong here at all, do I?
(3:17) OKAWA: Should I just go home? It’s like this is just an ad for Konami.
(3:25) YANAGIHARA: Okay, Genki-chan, we’ll shine the spotlight on you.
(3:27) YANAGIHARA: So what kind of character role does Blue play in the game?
(3:30) OKAWA: He’s the leader.
(3:31) YANAGIHARA: Uh, no. He’s not.
(3:32) OKAWA: What, he isn’t?
(3:33) HIRAI: He’s the third kid, after all.
(3:38) OKAWA: Well, he’s the kind of person who could lead if he really wanted to.
(3:41) HIRAI: He’s the type who wants to come out on top, right?
(3:43) YANAGIHARA: Uh, no, that’s totally wrong.
(3:51) OKAWA: So basically he’s always sleeping, anytime and anywhere.
(4:03) HIRAI: He’s basically like a sloth then.
(4:05) OKAWA: But that’s not all. He’s actually got a bunch of smarts.
(4:07) YANAGIHARA: Oh, so that’s the sort of set-up he’s got.
(4:14) OKAWA: Yeah, he’s actually got a good head on his shoulders and is pretty clever, but he’s usually half-asleep most of the time.
(4:16) YANAGIHARA: So he’s smart, but always tired.
(4:28) YANAGIHARA: So with that out of the way, let’s play some Super Bomberman R!
SEGMENT #3 (4:33 - 19:15)
The gameplay section. Hirai once again explains the mechanics for those who aren’t familiar, and the guests discuss their previous experiences with the franchise. They skip straight to battle mode, with Yanagihara and Hirai once again forming Team Boss Characters while Okawa and Setobon form Team Youngsters.
(4:37) HIRAI: Okay, so, like we did last time, we’ll give a simple explanation of what Bomberman is to people who haven’t heard of it yet.
(5:01) YANAGIHARA: So as for the two of you, it’s obvious that you’ve played Bomberman now, but did you play it when you little?
(5:07) OKAWA: I have.
(5:10) HIRAI: How old were you when you first played?
(5:13) OKAWA: I think the first time I played, it was on the Sega Saturn while I was in elementary school.
(5:16) YANAGIHARA: Ah, so on the Saturn...
(5:20) OKAWA: The one where they were all in 3D.
(5:23) HIRAI: Oh, where the objects were realistic.
(5:27) YANAGIHARA: What about you, Setobon?
(5:29) SETOBON: Um, well, I...
(5:30) OKAWA: Ah, this doesn’t sound good.
(5:33) SETOBON: I know it seems like I’m just being shy, but...
(5:35) HIRAI: Ah, we can’t quite hear you...
(5:36) SETOBON: I never played it!
(5:38) HIRAI: How dare you!
(5:42) SETOBON: It just wasn’t around for my generation!
(5:44) HIRAI: Generation ain’t got nothin’ to do with it, dammit.
(5:47) YANAGIHARA: Bomberman’s been around for a loooong time, though.
(5:48) OKAWA: Bomberman isn’t a generational thing.
(5:49) HIRAI: Don’t you have oodles of info to tell you that?
(5:51) YANAGIHARA: We weren’t expecting you to come out with an answer like that, it’s strange!
(5:53) SETOBON: When the company put me in charge of the series, I did like it...
(5:57) HIRAI: That’s already too late!
(6:02) HIRAI: How old are you right now?
(6:03) SETOBON: 23...
(6:04) HIRAI: Take responsibility!
(6:05) YANAGIHARA: [holding Hirai back] Stop that!
(6:07) HIRAI: I mean, you could play the game on a smartphone even, dammit.
(6:08) SETOBON: I do have it on my personal smartphone, I just started playing!
(6:13) OKAWA: You can play it on a smartphone?
(6:15) HIRAI: Yeah.
(6:15) OKAWA: I’m totally downloading it.
(6:25) YANAGIHARA: In times like these, girls gotta experience games themselves to get hooked.
(6:30) HIRAI: So how do you play it?
(6:32) YANAGIHARA: Yeah, how?
(6:33) SETOBON: I just have fun.
(6:34) HIRAI: Don’t take so long to answer!
(6:45) YANAGIHARA: So, what, out of everyone here, you think she might be the best at this?
(6:47) OKAWA: No way am I gonna lose to someone I don’t even know.
(7:02) [ON SCREEN: “Team Boss Characters” “Team Youngsters”]
(7:09) OKAWA: Cool, well, I’m gonna end this right here.
(7:19) YANAGIHARA: Right, for the first match, we’ll go to The Great Wall.
(8:13) MAGNET: “Don’t call me little!”
(8:23) YANAGIHARA: It sounded like Blue was saying something...
(8:25) OKAWA: Let’s have him talk again.
(8:30) BLUE: “Huh? Me?”
(8:33) OKAWA: Seems like it was shorter this time around. Well, whatever!
(8:41) YANAGIHARA: What’s up with that?
(8:43) HIRAI: That’s free raw materials.
(9:37) SETOBON: I can’t seem to get on the second level...
(9:40) HIRAI: Seems more to me like you don’t want to.
(10:13) OKAWA: Wait, since we’re on teams, doesn’t this mean that we already won?
(10:16) SETOBON: That’s right...
(10:17) HIRAI: Yeah, you did actually win.
(10:19) OKAWA: But I wanna win since I’ve got a grudge now.
(10:31) SETOBON: But I won without doing anything!
(10:34) OKAWA: Yeah, but you got to see just how awesome and powerful I am.
(10:42) YANAGIHARA: How did we lose just now?
(11:37) GOLEM: “I will win for sure.”
(12:04) GOLEM: “Defeat ????” [NOTE: Unintelligible.]
(12:06) OKAWA: He said “safety hazard suit.” [NOTE: Looks like they didn’t know what he said either.]
(12:26) SETOBON: And you’re back...this sucks...
(12:31) OKAWA: Ahhh, what am I doing?!
(12:38) HIRAI: Okay, first we go after her.
(12:40) SETOBON: And who is this “her”...?
(12:43) OKAWA: Let’s work together.
(12:44) SETOBON: Hey, wait a second!
(12:52) OKAWA: Awwyeah.
(12:53) SETOBON: What are you so happy about?
(13:08) YANAGIHARA: So, uh, you guys seem to have misunderstood something...
(13:14) YANAGIHARA: You made Setobon your rival and all, but...
(13:16) SETOBON: But we’re supposed to be a team.
(13:48) YANAGIHARA: And then there’s you, dude. You were all like, “Let’s go after her together!” with Genki-chan...
(13:54) HIRAI: Ah, yeah, I did.
(13:55) YANAGIHARA: But that’s what you’re supposed to say to me, yeah?
(16:47) OKAWA: What the hell?!
(16:51) OKAWA: I got beat.
(16:59) HIRAI: You were the last one standing, Setobon! You came back to life to claim victory?
(17:19) HIRAI: Even Genki-kun’s shivering...
(17:33) SETOBON: That was a total coincidence, though...
(17:35) SETOBON: Though coincidences like that do happen in Bomberman, huh.
(17:53) HIRAI: Well, being able to win by coincidence is all you can do in Bomberman, where no one’s ever sure what’ll happen.
(18:08) [ON SCREEN: Team Youngsters Wins.] GENKI: We did it!
(18:13) HIRAI: Even though we used special bombs and all...we couldn’t beat you in the end.
(18:17) OKAWA: Those special bombs were pretty dangerous.
(18:42) HIRAI: We have to thank Setobon for explaining the stages and demonstrating the terror of a woman, despite it only being her sophomore year.
(18:56) YANAGIHARA: Though somehow now I think I get why she’s considered the best.
(19:03) SETOBON: An evaluation meeting, huh...
(19:05) HIRAI: Huh? Why?
(19:07) SETOBON: An evaluation meeting...
(19:08) OKAWA: If you’d like on your own, sure.
(19:11) YANAGIHARA: What’s there to evaluate?
SEGMENT #4: (19:16 - 23:53)
Wrapping up the video.
(19:22) HIRAI: So we got to try out the special bombs this time around...
(19:27) HIRAI: So with Golem, he can defeat others who are hit by the bombs he makes.
(19:35) YANAGIHARA: So how does Magnet’s ability work?
(19:37) SETOBON: When he makes his bomb, it’ll chase the opponent.
(19:50) OKAWA: Using that thing is bad news, huh.
(19:52) YANAGIHARA: Yeah, even I was surprised.
(20:00) YANAGIHARA: Here I was thinking it’d come back to me.
(20:02) SETOBON: It doesn’t come back.
(20:06) YANAGIHARA: I was pressing the lower button wondering what he was doing.
(20:12) OKAWA: So if you had a bunch of friends, you could get together online and fight it out, right?
(20:17) HIRAI: Yeah, that’s right — you can do stuff online.
(20:23) HIRAI: You can have up to eight people playing together.
(20:25) YANAGIHARA: That’s eight! Eight!
(20:27) OKAWA: No way, that’s scary!
(20:52) YANAGIHARA: So what’d you think, Genki-chan?
(20:53) OKAWA: I had a great time. I can see myself getting really into this.
(20:58) HIRAI: A hot-blooded type, huh...
(20:59) OKAWA: If I were with my buddies we’d probably end up getting into a fight.
(21:26) YANAGIHARA: And your feelings on it, Seto-chan?
(21:28) SETOBON: I think this is a game everyone can be enthusiastic about. Even I was fighting seriously, maybe a little too seriously now that I think about it. It’s a party game that I’d be happy if everyone took home to enjoy once it’s released in March.
(22:03) YANAGIHARA: She was doing this [gesturing with his hands] whole time to White, twisting and pulling him. I felt kind of bad for him.
(22:11) OKAWA: Poor White.
(22:16) YANAGIHARA: And what’d you think, Hirai?
(22:19) HIRAI: We should totally play again.
(22:22) YANAGIHARA: You wanna go at it again?
(22:24) HIRAI: Yeah, to improve things.
(22:25) YANAGIHARA: After this? Yeah.
(22:26) HIRAI: I don’t mean the game. I mean Seto-san.
(22:30) YANAGIHARA: Whaaaat?
(22:31) HIRAI: We can turn her into the ultimate PR machine.
(22:36) OKAWA: This show turned into something completely different.
(22:38) OKAWA: Everyone already knows about Bomberman, so...
(22:43) HIRAI: So we can’t help but be interested in Seto-san.
(22:46) YANAGIHARA: Seems like we’ve got another explosive daughter on our hands.
(23:08) YANAGIHARA: Now, if you’d like to introduce the game to the audience...
(23:11) OKAWA: Super Bomberman R is currently in stores everywhere! This is a brand new game for the Nintendo Switch, so please enjoy it with your friends and family.
(23:25) YANAGIHARA: And if you’d please?
(23:27) SETOBON: We hope you’ll enjoy it!
(23:30) YANAGIHARA: Well, we hope you’ll have a good time until we meet again! Thanks for watching episode 2 of Bomberman TV! Well, then — goodbye!

hi! what are your fav pics of Saint Patrice?
hello!! wonderful question/impossible challenge!!
this one makes me tear up!!!!! I am so desperate for this to happen to him again in 2024 please I am begging the entire universe!!!!!!
and then this one for similar reasons of course
THE FULL SHIRTLESS REVEAL. I'M STILL REELING FROM THIS BOMBSHELL. CMAC CHANGED MY LIFE IN AN INSTANT WITH THIS ONE 🫡
this one makes me fucking GUFFAW because like ok it's clearly referencing the burrows biting incident of '11 (the meme format itself is like a self-timestamp lmao) BUT WITHOUT THAT CONTEXT. THIS IS SO.....mysterious, I love that it could imply anything!
big fan of when he's teeny tiny, you really can't go wrong with teeny tiny patrice. always reminds me of all the people in my old high school french text books
someone photoshopped a ton of cats onto this one and I can't help but respect that so deeply
I adore ones that are framed with PURPOSE like this!!!
this one really does it for me but I simply don't have enough time to figure out how to put into words why so it's gonna have to speak for itself
This one is a great sample of the genre where he's looking like a literal model in a high class magazine selling me a $7000 wool coat or something 👌👌👌👌
tangential to that is of course the Walking to Work While Wearing the Slickest Suit Known to Man. kinda some mob boss au vibes going on here
there are never enough ones where he is being SEVERELY cherished by bradley (or vice versa) even though they are literally endless
AND FINALLY speaking of bradley, this one is one of my top favs, it is so uncanny I think about it all the time the vibes are so WEIRD and I can't explain it at all. is it funny? is it sinister? is it like they exist in a mirror universe and were never meant to gaze into a camera from this universe??? yes
alright this is by no means a comprehensive list but I do fear I'll run into the pic limit soon so thank you for tuning into this episode of
@woodswit
#long post#saint patrice#really praying that this actually publishes bc god knows messages are like notoriously finicky lol

How Canon Was My One Arc 11 Fic?
“After the three-shot imma do an analysis comparison thing between my Elanthielrian fic and what happens and rate it on a scale from 1-10 on how canon it is LOL”
As promised on that previous tumblr post, here is future me, and I give it an 7/10 and I ramble more below the cut. Arc 11.5 On the Rocks SPOILERS.
Here’s the fic, “You’re The Boss” if you want to check it out: https://archiveofourown.org/works/45524443
I think I gotta rate it an 7/10 for canon-compliance, which was MUCH HIGHER than I thought while watching the livestream, and I’m also very impressed with myself. My intention was to keep things kinda vague during my fic so it would, ideally, be totally canon-compliant. I also have the benefit of being in the patreon, so “The Last Stop” being the name of the bar was dropped in the discord: I don’t have some coincidentally power of guessing the exact same words as the UC cast.
Here are some big things that I didn’t have and hence make my fic an AU.
Atelut and Suds are no longer working for Albion rail… I mean gosh if they go back now you know!
Rian and Atelut is a slowburn, but it went much faster than I thought considering the end of the Finale *ahem sharing the same bed*
The resistance already did some damage! Yo? Killing some Albions ya know?
Rian having the counterpart to Atelut’s ring of suffering: oh that was genius by Dillan and Dylan.
Atelut is an Albion. I mean, if I guessed that part, I’d be some omnipresent God. But hey, if any post-11.5 stream fic writers wants to write about that part? Go for it.
BART BEING REVIVED???
Here’s some more points I thought to bring up
Resistance is a hot mess:
One bit that I thought hit really well was the fact that resistance is kind of a hot mess and we love that for them. My “revolution” was a bit more put together, and I get into that in the next part. By the time my fic occurs, I think Atelut would have already known that. And guess what? She’s stressing over plans and worrying about if something might go wrong over the course of said plans! Oh no. As the writer, I didn’t consider that the resistance would be as much of a hot mess, but it kind of worked out anyways.
Atelut at The Last Stop:
Also another thing I didn’t consider: I think every other fic pre-11.5 has Atelut working in her position at Albion rail. But I had Atelut working on plans at The Last Stop and not even being a part of the main attack. Honestly, that’s how I see her after 11.5: she’s using her managerial skillset and organizing the revolution into an actual force to be wary of. And I think she’d be so good at it too. Maybe that’s this AU’s reason for having a more put-together revolution
Lack of Contact: (a Dissimilarity actually)
Another thing to consider was that I didn’t realize that in-canon, Atelut and Suds never made any direct contact with the resistance group until 11.5 begins? They were so so careful and damn do they care about this revolution so much you know. Anywho, in my fic Atelut and Suds just straight up went right to The Last Stop while being employees of Albion Rail. That being said, what stays the same is how meticulous each time they contacted the other group.
Who is the Boss?
One of the highlights for me is in (I think episode 2?) of 11.5 was when Rian just gives Atelut the “You’re not my Boss anymore” line and it stabs you in the gut a little. Anywho, in my fic Atelut’s the one who says something like that: “I’m not your manager anymore. You don’t have to give me these undeserved, free drinks.” And guess what? My fic ends in a similar way as the 11.5 stream did, with Rian calling Atelut “The Boss” once more.
We’re the REVOLUTION for a reason (Extremity):
Okay, look I knew this, but I had a much more Suds approach to it where it would be this soft approach to fucking up the Albions. I didn’t realize that Rian was full on ready to do some murderrr, and hey he succeeded quite a bit. In my fic, “If all went according to plan, the company would experience substantial information leaks, financial losses, and destruction of property. It would be the biggest move the revolution had ever attempted.” So yeah. No murder, no death, just some good ol ouchie for Albion rail. I think… it was the second of the live Verbal Components for 11.5, and each player mentioned what would happen if their character was the only one left. And, in this potential scenario, iirc Atelut slowly chips away at Albion rail, kind of like I did in my fic.
That’s all I could think of off the talk of my head thanks for reading my rambling
#unprepared casters#uc-beepboop#I ramble#You're the Boss#Analysis#canon#I discuss canon#uc arc 11#uc arc 11.5#it's brainrot time folks#I ramble so much#I can't believe I forgot to put hi dillin in the tags HAHA#so many typos in here I’m sorry
