The US doesn't get JK till later in the year, but I've kept up with people's tweets and tumblr and youtube clips of S3, and I'm legit concerned about whatever is and isn't and should and shouldn't be happening between Janet and Bianca, based on y'all's comments of ep 6. :( I know relationships have up's and down's but i don't want Bibi to get hurt b/c she's been sunshine for Janet and I need Janet to see that and appreciate it and Treat. Her. Well. And. Defend. Her. Honour. As. Her. Partner.

YES YES YES EXACTLY. I won’t lie, I was a bit let down by the episode, because I think there were a few narrative missteps and opportunities for relationship development that weren’t taken (where was Bianca after Janet got attacked?????) And I think because there wasn’t a proper resolution in the ep of their argument, it’s a bit hard to feel positive about their direction.

BUT. I think what Bianca did in the episode, in terms of challenging her relationship with Janet was real important and very brave and because she loves her, and values herself as much. Bianca’s softly-softly approach with Janet, in terms of not pushing a relationship, or full disclosure of Janet’s past, or anything that Janet isn’t comfortable with is really important, and gave Janet the room she needed to figure herself out - to fall really, properly in love with Bianca. But staying quiet this season has obviously worn her down a bit, and she is desperate to be a part of the family, desperate to have the kind of open, transparent relationship you should have with your partner, and knows she deserves it. You can tell she’s willing to fight to be involved in Janet’s life, in Janet’s decisions - and you can tell she’s willing to butt heads with Janet to stand up for herself - which Janet respects, really, and which I adore. Janet needs someone to tell her to pull her head in sometimes, and I’m really glad it was Bianca. From what I know of the show, and what I hope of the characters, this is building towards a relationship that is much more stable, stronger, honest. Janet’s very very stubborn, but she loves Bianca - and will figure out she can’t really take her for granted anymore without losing her. I love them, those dumb country road lesbians, and I have faith they won’t screw it up.

3 messages? you really want to know, huh? ;) alright, have some wild theories and speculations… (incl. spoilers):

ok, so my oh-dear-god-noooo-theory i came up with after watching ep 2 was that janet will definitely get herself in danger by investigating the crimes in sports and that bianca will do something drastic and dangerous to protect janet and the kids. i’ve since saw a spoiler (thx lo) that backs up the first part (janet getting assaulted), but i’m not so sure about bianca’s role anymore. i think the conflict between janet x bianca will rather revolve around janet’s father and whether and to what extent bianca is part of her family. the appearance of janet‘s father (understandibly) brings up a lot of unwanted emotions and her way of dealing with things is to build up a wall, to misdirect her anger towards tony and bianca and to push them away. i think janet knows that this is not the right way of dealing with things but can’t get out of her deep-rooted behaviour patterns. i want to scream at janet to stay away from her father (at least until the investigation is over) and then maybe think about it, make a plan, carefully consider to what extent she wants him back in her life… but family dynamics are complicated and don’t follow any logic rules. i’m afraid bianca will be pushed to the side by all of this (not to mention that emma still isn’t too fond of bibi). we’ve seen in s2 that bianca is the most precious babe ever and stays around and is just there for janet whenever she needs her. this was exactly what janet needed in s2 and i think bianca really understands this. i just hope that bianca won’t be too hurt by all the pushing-away, there is only so much someone can take before they don’t come back. i do have all the faith in the world that they will work it out in the end but i guess we’ll have to suffer a bit (a lot?) before that. and i just can’t handle to see my darling bianca sad… no.
