Hot Tents
Hot tents, also known as heated tents, have become increasingly popular among outdoor enthusiasts, campers, and winter sports enthusiasts. These innovative shelters offer a comfortable and warm environment even in the harshest weather conditions. In this blog post, we'll delve into what hot tents are, their benefits, and how to choose the right one for your needs.
What is a Hot Tent?
A hot tent is essentially a traditional tent equipped with a heating system. This system can be powered by various sources, including propane, wood, or electricity. The heating element within the tent helps to maintain a comfortable temperature, even in freezing conditions.
Benefits of Using a Hot Tent
Comfort and Warmth: Hot tents provide a cozy and inviting space to relax and sleep, regardless of the outside temperature. This is especially beneficial for those who enjoy camping in colder climates or during winter months.
Versatility: Hot tents can be used for a wide range of outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, fishing, and winter sports. They are particularly popular among hunters and fishermen who need a warm place to rest after a long day in the field.
Durability: Hot tents are typically constructed using durable materials, such as waterproof fabrics and sturdy poles. This ensures that they can withstand the elements and provide reliable shelter in various weather conditions.
Efficiency: Modern hot tent heating systems are designed to be efficient, providing ample warmth without consuming excessive fuel. This helps to minimize costs and reduce environmental impact.
Choosing the Right Hot Tent
When selecting a hot tent, consider the following factors:
Size: Choose a tent that is large enough to accommodate your specific needs. If you plan to camp with family or friends, you'll need a larger tent to provide comfortable sleeping space.
Heating System: Decide on the type of heating system that best suits your preferences and needs. Propane heaters are a popular choice for their portability and efficiency, while wood stoves offer a more traditional camping experience.
Insulation: Look for a tent with good insulation to help retain heat and keep the interior warm. This is especially important in colder climates.
Ventilation: Adequate ventilation is essential to prevent condensation and maintain a healthy indoor environment. Ensure that the tent has vents or windows that can be opened and closed as needed.
Conclusion
Hot tents offer a fantastic way to enjoy outdoor activities year-round. By providing a warm and comfortable shelter, these innovative tents make it possible to experience the beauty of nature in even the harshest conditions. If you're looking to enhance your camping or outdoor adventures, a hot tent is definitely worth considering.

What is a Glamping Tent?
New Post has been published on https://eazycamping.net/what-is-a-glamping-tent/
What is a Glamping Tent?
Some people enjoy the authentic camping experience of being outdoors, in the cold and covered in mud. Others…not so much.
If camping outside in a small tent out in the wilderness isn’t your idea of a perfect weekend then we might have something just for you.
You might have been curious as to what the camping life might be like but you also enjoy the extra security and comfort that comes from spending the night at a cosy hotel.
If this sounds like you, maybe you should spend the night glamping!
Key Takeaways
Glamping tents combine the comfort of a hotel with the ruggedness of traditional camping.
Glamping tents come equipped with amenities such as beds, heaters, electricity and private bathrooms.
Glamping is more expensive than traditional camping.
The best locations for glamping in the UK are the Lake District, Scottish Highlands, and Cornwall.
Glamping tents come in unique forms such as treehouses, geometric bubbles and Mongolian yurts.
What is a glamping tent?
Glamping is a combination of the words ‘Glamourous’ and ‘camping’ and is a form of camping that combines comfort and luxury with the rugged natural beauty of the outdoors. Glamping provides guests with a glamorous camping experience.
Many of these alternative glamping tents are usually prepared outside by a company at a glamping campsite and aim to provide you with the highest level of comfort and relaxation. The great thing about glamping in a tent is that you don’t have to go through the hassle of carrying heavy equipment and setting up your tent whilst getting yourself cold, wet and dirty.
You can just enter right in and enjoy your evening in peace. If you don’t mind paying a higher price, this could be the perfect experience for you.
The ever-growing popularity of glamping tents
In recent years, the popularity has been rising with more and more people wanting to try their hand at camping and trying their hand at a more natural style of living. Camping might seem like a hardcore activity, but glamping offers a smooth gateway for people getting into the camping lifestyle.
What is the difference between camping and glamping?
Camping and glamping both offer the experience of spending time outdoors, however, there are some significant differences between the two in terms of the style of accommodation, the included amenities and much more.
Accommodation
Traditional camping tents are designed usually for one thing and one thing only….sleeping. Glamping tents on the other hand are designed with comfort in mind, typically created larger and more spacious than their counterparts. Sometimes they feature real furniture such as a table and chairs and are even decked out with beds and stylish decor.
More expensive glamping tents tend to split the tent into a bedroom and a separate living space and kitchen. They are usually built with an electricity supply, which gives guests the ability to charge their mobile devices and even connect up appliances such as fans, lamps and even heaters to stay nice and cosy.
Bathrooms
One of the more larger differences between camping and glamping is the availability of a bathroom. Usually, camping is done on a campsite where public toilets and showers are shared among other campers, whereas glamping usually has a private bathroom for the guests offering a significant upgrade from traditional camping.
These private bathrooms often come with toilets, showers and sinks that are designed to be as luxurious as the rest of the tent. They also sometimes include toiletries in the package to help guests feel as comfortable as possible, just in the same way a hotel would provide.
Sleeping
As previously mentioned, the sleeping arrangements between traditional camping and glamping can be quite varied. Traditional camping is usually just a sleeping bag on the cold tent floor and perhaps a camping pillow for comfort. More experienced campers tend to use a mat underneath their camping tent to keep themselves elevated from the ground, provide insulation and reduce heat loss.
Glamping tents, on the other hand, tend to feature comfortable beds and soft bedding to try and ensure that guests will receive a good night’s sleep. Perfect for families, a group of friends or even couples looking for a romantic getaway.
Heating
Glamping tents normally have heaters inbuilt in them which create a warm and cosy atmosphere even in more colder seasons. This is often a strong reason why people new to camping may opt to Glamp, as the cold night can be challenging when camping traditionally.
Cooking
With traditional camping, meals are usually made over a portable stove or even done on an open fire. This is different to glamping tents, which usually come prepared with kitchenettes or fully equipped kitchens that may include a fridge, stove, sink, toaster and even a kettle to make some tea. The aim is to mimic what might typically be used at home.
Who is glamping for?
Glamping is perfect for individuals that love the outdoors but don’t want to sacrifice the comfort and luxury of being indoors. It is perfect for couples and friends that want to spend time together and try a new experience to remember.
How much does glamping cost?
The average cost of glamping, according to Barnutopia, can run up to £130 a night. It should be noted that the actual price differs widely depending on the location, what the glamping tent offers, whether it is a luxury tent and also the time of the year that you choose to book.
What are the best places to go glamping in the UK?
In recent years, Glamping has become increasingly popular, with new, unique and luxurious accommodations popping up around the county. Some of the best places to go glamping in the UK are the Lake District, Scottish Highlands and Cornwall. Let’s dive deeper into these places and what makes them so good for glamping.
Lake District, England
The Lake District is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts that are looking to experience the natural beauty of the lake, without needing to sacrifice any comfort. There are many types of glamping experience dotted around the Lake District, including bell tents, luxury pods and even shepherd’s huts!
Scottish Highlands, Scotland
Some of the most breath-taking views in the UK can be found in the Scottish highlands. There are many excellent glamping spots located around the highlands, which offer a range of accommodation such as mongolian yurts, treehouses and even geodesic domes.
Cornwall, England
The popular English summer destination of Cornwall is also a great location for glamping due to its stunning coastline and nearby countryside. Glamping locations available at Cornwall include bell tents, treehouses and yurts.
The top 3 features of a glamping tent
You can find glamping tents that come in all shapes and sizes but there are usually a set few features that make them instantly recognisable when compared to more traditional camping tents and accommodations. Here are the top 3 features of a glamping tent:
Comfortable Environment
Glamping tents are designed with guest comfort in mind, including quality amenities such as comfortable beds, electricity, heating and also tend to feature private bathrooms and showers on site.
Spacious interiors
Glamping tents are usually much larger and more spacious than their traditional counterparts, which offers more room to allow guests to relax comfortably and enjoy their surroundings. They may also offer a separate living space to the bedroom so that guests can enjoy privacy during the day.
Luxury amenities
A major differentiator between glamping tents and traditional camping tents are luxury amenities. Whilst these are not present in all glamping tents and vary widely depending on how much you pay, some may feature amenities such as private decking, jacuzzis and even fully equipped kitchens.
There are some sites that even have on-site restaurants and bars which allow guests to enjoy a classy meal and evening of drinks without even needing to leave the site.
4 popular types of glamping tents
Glamping tents can come in a variety of shapes and sizes, each offering their own benefits to guests staying in them. Here are 4 of the most popular types of glamping tents that are available:
Mongolian yurts
Mongolian yurts are circular tents by design that are constructed with a wooden frame and then wrapped in a felt covering. They are quite large and can house up to 6 guests, often coming furnished with traditional mongolian decor and furniture.
Treehouses
We’ve all had childhood dreams of staying up in a treehouse, but there are actually glamping accommodations that are built in the treetops. These offer a unique experience that come with stunning views and may also feature amenities such as hot tubs and also electricity.
Safari tents
Safari tents are another type of large glamping tent that are usually used on safari trips in Africa. They tend to feature comfortable beds, private bathrooms and are often furnished with sofas and other local decor.
Geodesic domes
Geodesic domes tend to stray quite far away from the typical tent design, and are futuristic-looking bubble tents built with a series of interlocking triangles. These tents can sometimes come equipped with modern amenities such as full kitchens, private bathrooms and hot tubs.
What are the benefits of glamping tents?
There are many benefits that glamping can provide that traditional camping is not able to provide you. Here are some of the top advantages to choose a glamping retreat over a traditional camping experience:
Increased Comfort
It is no secret that glamping tents offer a higher level of comfort than traditional camping tents. With glamping tents, you don’t need to worry about things like insects, poor weather or having to sleep on that cold hard ground. Instead, you can sink yourself into memory foam mattresses, cosy duvets and warm heating set to the perfect temperature for you to doze off in the night.
Enjoy a Unique Eco Holiday Experience
Glamping provides you with the ability to immerse yourself in nature whilst enjoying a comfortable and luxurious stay. You are able to experience breathtaking sceneries, wildlife and participate in outdoor activities bringing you close to nature.
Connection with Nature
Glamping grants you the ability to connect with nature in a new way that traditional camping may not be able to. There are many glamping experiences that would not be possible with traditional camping such as treetop glamping, yurts or glamping in an igloo that allow you to experience life like the locals do.
Spend Time with Family or Friends
Glamping is an excellent choice if you are looking to spend more quality time with family or friends. Whether that be spending time roasting marshmallows by the fire pit, exploring the woods or even taking a dip in the lake, glamping can help you build unique experiences that you won’t be able to find in traditional camping.
How to Choose the Perfect Glamping Tent
When you are looking for the right glamping tent to stay at, it is important that you take a few factors into consideration. Here are some of the things that you need to keep in mind:
Location – Where would you like to go?
The location is incredibly important and will define the type of glamping experience you end up having. Are you looking to be close to the beach, up in the mountains, or at a national park?
Are you wanting a more secluded getaway or a bustling glamping resort?
These are important questions that you should ask yourself before making the leap into your first glamping experience.
Budget – How much do you want to spend?
With all the additional amenities, glamping will be more expensive than traditional camping so you should set a budget for yourself to help you better pick your glamping tent. Some glamping tents are more luxurious than others, and will come with a much higher price tag.
Amenities – What Comforts Do You Need to Have a Great Experience?
Another huge defining factor is the type of amenities that you are looking for in your glamping tent. These can be the type of bathroom setup, if you are wanting a fully equipped kitchen or just a simple kitchenette or if you want a nice hot tub out in your private deck. Some glamping tents will come ready with these amenities while others will not.
Unique Experiences – Anything You Would Like to Experience?
Glamping can be a great way to experience more than just a new environment. Consider what else you might want to do on your trip.
Do you want to stargaze from your bed, sleep high up in a treehouse, or take a hot air balloon ride on the weekend? These are all things that you can do, so make sure to factor experiences in your journey.
Start Your Journey into Glamping Today
With so many benefits that glamping can bring you, there’s no reason to hesitate. Plan your next glamping trip and experience nature in comfort and style today!

So conventional wisdom is to never, never become unhoused, because the longer someone is unhoused the harder it is to get them housed again. I'm assuming you know that and are making the best decision for you anyway, so I won't belabor that point and move straight into camping tips:
- a campground with showers is good. A YMCA can kind of plug that gap. Having reliable access to a clean place to bathe is important however you get it.
- a place to receive mail is critical. PO box, shelter, friend's place, whatever. You need an address.
- a lot of things can be cooked over your standard park grill with charcoal. You may need to price out if that's cheaper than a camping stove and fuel long-term. Easy things I've done include
-- freezer bag + instant oatmeal + boiling water = hot oatmeal in a bag (also works with ramen)
-- cut a banana in half and add nuts/choc chips/marshmallows, wrap in foil, bake, yummy and cheap hot dessert
-- one pot anything, but like, truly one-pot. Many recipes are 'one pot' but you gotta reserve the meat or whatever. You need One Pot.
-- clean up: fill tub/bowl with soapy water, soak dishes, scrub, rinse in clean water.
- if you can find a campsite with electrical hookup or run something off your car (even a mug heater) that helps a lot too
- never keep food in your tent, it attracts critters
- compile a list of places you can get free hot meals. Unfortunately, a lot of them are churches and the meal is part of the churchiness.
- teeth brushing - if there's no drain to spit into, you want to kind of spray it to avoid getting a toothpaste patch by your campsite (gross!)
Will probably think of more later, but - have camped a lot, feel free to DM!
I'm about to start the process of posting about all of the Big Shit that's gonna happen beginning of next year, including a period of.... Recreational? Homelessness? Maybe? Idk.
It's exhausting just thinking about it.

Warnings: Partly gender neutral, but the “you” is a woman and Marcus refers to her as such. Just a story -- a little angst, a little introspection, a little silliness. No smut.
He couldn’t believe how quiet it was. He had found a place to camp overlooking Monument Valley, and the sun was setting over the Mittens...the two famous rock formations he felt like he’d seen in every western his father had made him watch as a kid.
He’d been binge watching tv a lot, since moving to DC, keeping his mind off…things. He’d been watching Westworld, and falling in love with the scenery. It’s been a bit, since Teresa has left him, but he wasn’t ready to do anything. See people. He didn’t feel like himself, but more like a broken doll thrown in a corner.
So, the idea of taking some time, renting a car, doing the Great American Road Trip started to appeal. He’d always hoped to do it with someone — travel was always so much better when you had someone else to share it with. But instead, he played a lot of music, let the miles pass. Let himself just be. Maybe he’d heal. Maybe he’d be able to look in the mirror and understand the man he saw there, again. It was helping. Mostly.
“Like something out of a movie, isn’t it?” A voice asked softly. Marcus looked over, and saw the woman who had pulled into the campsite next to his a few hours earlier. She had a van, and she had the back doors open, sitting on the bed. The van back was aimed just slightly towards him, and he could see you clearly.
“It is.” He said, and smiled back.
You were pretty. This was the first time he had really allowed himself to look at you. He couldn’t think of any questions that wouldn’t be creepy...you didn’t ask a woman traveling alone where she was going or why she was here...so he said, “I’m going to start a fire soon. If you like you are always welcome to join.” The night was promising to become chilly. He was already thinking about pulling on a jacket.
“I might,” you said, so he stacked the wood and tinder the way he’d been taught as a boy, and since the wood he’d bought at the camp store was good and dry, it started easy. Soon he was sitting on the ground next to the fire, beer on the ground next to him, staring at the fire.
You shut the doors on the back, and he thought, that’s probably for the best. I am probably not the best company.
He heard the far side door slide open, and after a bit you came around the van with a box. “So, I’ve never had s’mores—you have a fire, I have s’more making stuff...want to trade the use of your fire for food?”
“You’ve never had s’mores? Ever?” He laughed at your solemn nod. “Next you’ll tell me you’ve never been trick or treating..”
“Nope, never. I lived down a dark road and no one ever wanted to go near us, and my father wasn’t much into the idea of it.” You sit next to him, the box of supplies between you, and hand him a paper plate, followed by a hot dog fork.
He raised an eye brow. “For the marsh mellows. They came in a two pack.” You mutter, and he smiles.
“Oh! I forgot…” You say, and introduce yourself, holding out your hand. Marcus balances the paper plate on his knee so he can take it. “Marcus.”
You look at him like he’s a co-conspirator. “I have no idea what I’m doing.”
“Well, if you allow me?” He broke up the graham crackers in about the right size, put a square of chocolate on each, then put a marshmallow on a fork. You did the same, roasting a marshmallow over the fire.
Marcus found himself studying you out of the corner of his eye. He liked how calm you were. Outside of being beautiful, you had something that kept making him look, really look at you.
He held up the sides of the cracker for you to slide the marshmallow between. “Now hold it until the chocolate melts,” he says as he does the same for himself.
“Ooh, excellent.” You say. “When do you think it’ll be ready?”
“About now, probably.” The simple happiness in your eyes as you take a bite calls to something inside of him. He feels a little lighter.
You chew. Wince a little.
“Well?” He says, before taking a bite of his own.
“I’m not sure how I feel about it. Is this how its supposed to taste?”
He nods. It’s sweet, it’s chocolaty, and pretty perfect. You take another experimental taste. “Is this, like an acquired taste? Like beer?”
Marcus finds himself laughing. “Well, if you don’t like it…” He holds out his hand for the rest and you shake your head.
“No, no, I’ll finish it, at least I can mark it off my bucket list.”
“You have one of those?” He busies himself making another.
“Yes. See Monument Valley. Eat Smores. Introduce myself to a handsome stranger…” You grin at him.
“Ah. Are you settling for strange rather than handsome?”
You glare at him and grab some chocolate. “You are definitely handsome. Strange, well. That would be all the better. Normal is boring, and strange is awesome…unless it’s serial killer strange. Are you a serial killer?”
“Not unless you count cockroaches.”
“Ah, that’s a relief. But you should know I sleep with bear spray.”
“You’re safe, with or without it,” he says gently.
“That’s because I fed you,” You say sagely.
You both let the silence settle. Marcus skips the smores making and just roasts marshmallows. You steal them because he’s better at roasting them than you are.
You like that he doesn’t mind, that he smiles, though the smile does not always reach his eyes.
“What’s on your list?”
Marcus fiddles with the hot dog fork. “I don’t have one.” You tilt your head at him and he shrugs. “My bucket list was always based on the person I was with. What I thought they wanted. I always wanted to be a good man. A good boyfriend. A good husband. So I tried to find out what they wanted and make it happen.”
“And you lost yourself.”
Marcus nodded, staring at the fire as if it held all the answers. He was letting it die down, now, it was more coals than anything else. “I did.”
You nod. “I’ve done that. But here we are. In the middle of nowhere.”
He looks up, lets his eyes adjust. “I was going to make a comment about the stars, but there’s not a one in sight.”
“Ah, well. Maybe tomorrow.” You talk for a little while longer. Marcus thinks about asking for your number, but he’s not sure if he’s ready. His heart feels like a rotten piece of fruit, bruised and pulpy. It doesn’t feel like much of anything to offer.
You gather up your stuff. “Goodnight, Marcus. See you down the road.”
“Night,” he says softly, and the moment is gone. He regrets it, as he douses the fire and takes his folding toothbrush and tooth paste to the restroom, where he gets ready for the night. When he comes back out, the wind has picked up a bit. He checks the firepit one more time, then crawls into his tent. His last thought, as he falls asleep, is if you like pancakes. There’s a nice place to eat not far away…
He wakes up to thunder, the wind rocking his tent. He listens to the rain pelt the nylon, the wind and the rain combined are hard enough that when the wind is right, he can feel sprinkles of rain come up under the rain fly and through the webbing. He crawls deeper into the sleeping bag, grateful that, because the tent is so small he keeps most of his hear in the car, including his clothes.
Marcus contemplates going and sitting in the car, trying to sleep. The backseat, even the passenger seat are loaded because the rental place had given him the world’s smallest car, so he wasn’t looking forward to that…
And then he heard s snap. He got a face full of tent , and then a face full of rain water as the rain fly flew off, waving in the air like a white flag.
“Fuck!” He fought his way around, trying to find the keys. He knew where he’d put them, but when he found the wall pocket, it was empty. The tent was now completely on top of him, rain pouring in. He found the zipper and pulled it down.
“Marcus?” Your feet, sloshing through the puddles.
Marcus took your hand and allowed himself to be pulled from the wreckage of the tent. He zipped it shot again, for what good it would do him.
“Take this cooler and use it to weigh down your tent.” You’d been dragging a cooler behind her. It was heavy, with a heavy lock.
“I gotta find my keys…do you have a light?”
“Honey, just come back to the van. We’ll find the keys when the storm is over. We need to get you dry and warm.”
He runs after you to the van, jumps up in and shits the door as quickly as he can to keep the monsoon outside. You shed your rain coat and hang it up. Grin at him. “What an adventure, heh?”
He takes a moment to look around the van. It’s nice. Small, but neat.
“Let me get you something to wear…” You point to some bins over head. “There’s some towels in there, could you get them out?”
You pull out a pair of sweatpants and a tee shirt. “You’re a little broad shouldered…but I like my tee shirts large, so…and these were left by a friend, they might fit.”
You turn around, start stripping. Marcus does the same, facing the windshield. The storm was still raging, he was able to strip, dry himself, and dress again by lighting light. The light show on the horizon was truly impressive, and he was grateful to be inside a vehicle, even if the van sometimes rocked and shifted a little in the wind. He’s starting to shiver, despite being dried off. He was grateful he wasn’t trying to do this in the car.
“OK, it’s safe to look,” you tell him. “Go ahead and drape your stuff over the passenger seat…it’s not real leather. I’m going to turn up the heater, you look like you can use it.”
“Thanks for letting me in…I would have gone for the car…”
“And froze to death.” You say. “I’d rather you in here. Do you need anything? Tea?”
Marcus shakes his head. “You’ve done enough. You are my angel.”
“You’ll be even more grateful when you realize I have an electric blanket on my bed...yay for solar batteries!” You use a step stool to gt up onto the platform bed that dominates the back of the van.
“I…I can sleep in the driver’s seat.”
“I only have these blankets, and your blankets are soaking wet…can you be a gentleman?”
He sighs. “Yeah. Of course I can. I just…”
“I’m a practical woman.” You say. “Though, I do have a request. You don’t have to. But if you’d like…”
He got up on the platform. The mattress was surprisingly comfortable. He looks at you. “Sure, anything.”
“If it’s a beautiful day tomorrow, and the sunrise is bright and lovely, that you don’t just leave without saying goodbye. Kiss me. Kiss me in the sunrise before you go.” He reached out and cupped your face gently. “I promise,” he said. “Was that on your bucket list?”
You lean into his hand a moment. “No.” You smile, and turn so you can lay down facing the back doors.
Marcus had looked up what time the sun was set to rise when he’d checked the weather that morning. He set his watch to wake him up, before slipping his feet into the pre-warmed bed.
It’s a classic story, he thinks, as he allows how comfortable and peaceful he feels laying next to you to sweep him into sleep.
A man goes, finds himself in the desert, but more importantly, he finds you along the way.

Do Glamping Pods Have Kitchens?
Glamping pods often have small kitchenettes or outdoor cooking areas where you can prepare meals. Some even offer gourmet dining options, so you can savor delicious cuisine without leaving the campsite.
What Do Glamping Pods Sit On?

So, if you're ready to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and embrace the serenity of the wilderness, give glamping a try on your next vacation. The night has been advertised by multiple commercials in the civilian’s homes, and even dead bodies littered on some residence lawns. It’s dusk on a Thursday in February. The gates to the Fire and Ice Festival are lowered after hours of waiting in the biting Chicago tundra, and the crowd, over 4,000 strong, rushes in. Most are expecting a night of drunken freedom, cozied up by the outdoor heaters that promise a warm welcome, but some foresee the chaos bound to erupt across the lawn.
The first act takes the stage, and anyone who isn’t inebriated, courtesy of the open bar, is perceptive enough to realize that, no, that’s not Kanye West. Instead they are mesmerized by the lyrical lip syncher Dante Yeast—he looks enough like him, it’s better not to question it. One would think that the O’Sheas, Vasiles, and the Fausts all gathered in one spot would spell disaster, yet the evening rolls on without a hitch, despite the tensions slowly building in its periphery. Fausts members, too, are scattered across the ocean of bodies, but some faces are missing, figureheads who pull the strings.
Maybe they’re absorbed by the crowd; maybe they thought better of attending, but there’s a sense of unease that settles in the air. It’s not quite right, but no one can put a finger on why. Another beer, and the thought is lost is the swell of the music—if they didn’t know any better, they’d think the bass replicates the sound of distant explosions.
You’re free to start plotting. You can start posting starters/threads tomorrow, February 20th, 2020 at 7:30PM CST ! Part II coming February 24th ( Plot Slots can be found below the cut ! )
We’re going to allow each person to choose two plot slots for two characters max .If there are any leftovers, we’ll let members know when they can sign up for thirds.
You’ll notice that some of these plots are public, so feel free to have your character react to them/ notice them even if they aren’t happening directly to your character. However, if something feels like it happened privately to another character, please check in with their Mun to see if it’s okay for your character to know.
To be clear: these are not the only things that happen to your character during this plot drop and you are more than welcome to cook up your own trouble.
To sign up for a plot slot message the main! You can start doing that as soon as right now!

AUTUMN DAWSON is shitfaced prior to arriving at the music festival. They try to crowd surf before the opening act, and would get immediately dropped if NATHAN BURR didn’t catch their fall.

EFFIE FAUST & CHARACTER O engage in a mud wrestling contest that is being judged by no one whatsoever.
CHARACTER P & CHARACTER Q make out in a port-o-potty, but realize shortly after they’re locked inside. It’s up to CHARACTER R to either let them out...or tip them over.
CHARACTER S is mistaken as Pat Benatar. ASLI DEMIR drunkenly convinces them to go on stage to sing LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD.
CHARACTER U & CHARACTER V go hard on the alcoholic beverages & psychedelic treats at the start of the festival, by the end of it neither of them know where their shoes or wallets are.
CHARACTER W finds their soulmate in a drunken stupor and grinds on them for the better half of two hours, only to realize the grindee is ZHI ROU, who has been uncomfortably shifting away from them this entire time.
CHARACTER Y breaks all of their glow sticks and covers themselves in the liquid. It’s all fun and games until that shit starts to burn. CHARACTER Z does their best to quench CHARACTER Y with every bottled water they can find.
CHARACTER A1, CHARACTER B1, & CHARACTER C1 are hired security guards for the event. They have no clue who hired them to do it.
INGRID VASILE starts to overdose on COCAINE. LEV VASILE notices their struggle and assists them to the med tent. DOMINIC MURPHY is around the med tent and notices the commotion.
CHARACTER F1 tries to charge their phone using the musical equipment & gets electrocuted. Also it starts to play the most recent song listened to on their phone which is SONG OF THEIR CHOICE.
GRIFFIN DYER is held up at security when they try to enter the venue, because they tried to smuggle in a small animal. CHARACTER H1 isn’t really security and jacks the animal instead.
SERENITY MICHAELS starts to question their sanity when they see a small animal run in circles in front of them and jet off towards the direction of the port-o-potty.
RACHEL BYRNE feels something small and furry scaling the back of their dress, and, assuming it’s someone’s hand, slaps DAHLIA CAVALLI in the mouth before the small animal scurries away and they have to apologize.
CHARACTER L1 chases the small animal and just when they are sure they’ve caught it, the animal bites them on the neck. CHARACTER M1, who is higher than a motherfucker and hallucinating, sees CHARACTER L1 cradling their neck and automatically assumes a vampiric transformation is happening. CHARACTER L1 has to survive the following attack from a stranger with a pocket knife.
CHARACTER N1 is on their fifth drink at the venue. They hear a loud slurping noise, only to find the small animal lapping their beer in hand. Out of surprise they scream which causes the animal to shit on their hand and run away. CHARACTER O1 looks on in amazement, wonder, and terror as CHARACTER N1 wipes their hand on an unknowing CHARACTER P1. CHARACTER O1 is conflicted if they should say anything but takes a Snapchat video of the whole scenario anyway. It goes viral on Tik Tok the following evening.
The small animal finally gets caught by SANTIAGO PEREZ in a battle that lasts 10 minutes. The small animal is then given to CHARACTER R1 whom they assume is the owner.
CHARACTER S1 is lost to the world, and passes out directly in front of CHARACTER T1 that had just spent twenty minutes in line for a cup of water. The cup of water is spilled on top of CHARACTER S1.
NAOMI WASHINGTON & CHARACTER V1 become instant buddies when they chant to the sound of “SHOTS” around the crowd. IRINA KOSHKIN takes this literally and pulls out their gun ready to fire.
CHARACTER X1, CHARACTER Y1, CHARACTER Z1 all show up to the venue wearing the same exact outfit. You have declared them your number 1 enemy for the entirety of the music festival.
CHARACTER A2 is high as fuck and thinks they’re making a flower crown for CHARACTER B2…..except it’s a crown of shrooms instead. CHARACTER B2 wears the crown, but has to swat CHARACTER C2 away who keeps trying to eat them.
CHARACTER D2, CHARACTER E2, CHARACTER F2 suffer from dehydration. They try to find help at the med tent, but they can’t find where it is.
ROSA LEON gets handsy with the bartender at the open bar and leads them away for a quick fuck, allowing RYAN HAYES and CHARACTER I2 to raid the bar freely.
CHARACTER J2 is the aforementioned bartender and realizes a moment too late their station is being cleared out. Instead of returning to their position, they throw on some neon bracelets and join the party.
CHARACTER K2 is doing some sick backflips in the middle of the crowd and are called out by the currently performing act mid-set for drawing attention away from the stage. CHARACTER K2 does another backflip to retaliate, but accidentally kicks CHARACTER L2 in the face.
JESSE VALENCIA hijacks a ELECTRIC BLUE STRATOCASTER from the backstage, and they are not caught.
DAVUT DEMIR feels like they’re being watched and finds a silhouette with a rifle narrowed in on them perched upon a nearby building. They quickly retreat to find OPHELIA O’SHEA and P2 and warn them about the occurrence, who realize there are multiple snipers surrounding the pavilion.
CHARACTER Q2 swears they heard a sound of explosions over the music, being in front nearest to the stage. They grab the microphone and scream, “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE.” CHARACTER R2 & CHARACTER S2 start to openly panic.
CHARACTER T2 (O’Shea) gets into a physical altercation with CHARACTER U2 (Vasile). They don’t stop until one or the other is knocked unconscious.
ANDREA REED & BIRDIE MENDOZA try to leave the event, but notice that they’re trapped in the auditorium. CHARACTER X2 makes it to their vehicle, but is stuck in place by the surrounding vehicles around them. Unable to escape fully, they return back to the venue.
CHARACTER Y2 hates their life at this music venue, because they’re stuck behind a rather sweaty individual. Their sweat keeps hitting them in the face, and at one point, they catch it in their mouth. It incites a ferocious bout of vomiting, and CHARACTER Z2 is trying to help, thinking they’ve been drugged, but CHARACTER Y2 can’t even explain what it is that made them sick.
TATIANA BLANTER is hit with a spare bullet, but no one is able to find where the source is. As no one around seems to have their gun out. CHARACTER B3 conceals their weapon perfectly.
NOVA DEVERAUX suffers a panic attack due to the crowd gathered, and clings onto CLARA DAVILLA who is unable to get them to the med tent.
CHARACTER E3 feels something warm splash on their face. They are unsure if it’s warm beer or urine. They’re pretty sure it’s warm beer, but remain conflicted the rest of the festival. CHARACTER F3 offers the shirt off their back for CHARACTER E3 to wipe the liquid off their face.
CHARACTER G3 is doing photography for the event, but realizes midway through the show that the performers aren’t who they say they are. They spot a face they know to be Faust affiliated in the crowd and scurry off toward the exit, only to be stopped by CHARACTER H3 (Faust) at the door.
MILES ST CLARE is the first to notice the lack of Fausts at the start of the music venue. They make their way to the police station in hopes of figuring it out, but instead they encounter burning police cars and chaos.

Another Merry Christmas from me, Peter and Sylar! Sadly, I don’t think I’ll have time this year to write a new Christmas oneshot, so here’s one of my previous ones to try and spread a lil’ Heroes Christmas spirit here on Tumblr ^.^
(Shameless fluff and sickeningly sweet Petlary goodness within!)
Here’s the Ao3 link if you’d rather read it there.
Then Sylar looked at him with only softness to his gaze. And for a second fear, doubt and uncertainty swaddled Peter so tightly he couldn't breathe.
While the other man memorised his face he wanted to run away, and when those eyes fell on his lips a shiver rolled down his spine like a single drop of ice. Suddenly, he remembered the past. He remembered lost loved ones. He remembered too many feelings at once, some old, some new and some still to be found, and all these emotions were far too overwhelming while he sat here in purgatory with the man who had murdered his brother.
What the hell was he letting himself be caught up in...?
The Tree
They willed it to magically happen overnight, but it didn't. They even hunted down all the individual pieces and left them out in hopes they'd somehow put themselves together. They didn't. So eventually, Peter and Sylar took it upon themselves to break the perpetual nothingness of purgatory. Even if that meant settling for far less than perfection.
“I think it'll be better than the real thing anyway.”
Peter Petrelli shifted on the cold ground, resting an arm over his knees while trying to get comfortable. The mound of spare jackets beneath him did nothing to help against the chill in the slightest, but he didn't want to be the one to admit that. God it was freezing. Definitely cold enough for snow, if only Matt Parkman would grant this realm such a luxury as change.
“Of course you do.”
The droll huff to his right somehow didn't irk Peter. The sound was rough but harmless, quiet over the clunking whir of the old generator set up nearby. Sylar sniffed and shuffled an inch closer to the small, electric heater they had salvaged, although the thing was barely more than a weak glow breaking the surrounding darkness of the park.
Peter watched the other man with amusement: the soft touch of light on his face and the faint clouding of his breath only highlighting the nerves that he was trying to hide behind bravado. Peter let him think he got away with it.
“At least it'll be something though, right?” He chuckled, once more excitedly looking up the height of the tangle of wires before him. He held onto his hat as he did so, even though he knew it looked ridiculous. The time had long past when self-preservation was more important than warmth, and very quickly the red and white Santa hats Sylar had brought along as a joke hadn't seemed so stupid after all. At least to Peter, anyway. Sylar was of course under a different impression.
“Just don't get all gushy on me when the timer goes off. I don't think I could handle you breaking into song or something.” Sylar jabbed a look at Peter, who caught it briefly with only a crinkle of his eyes.
The anxious duo fell silent again, watchful, waiting. Peter could sense the taller man shivering, even through the space between them. He could practically feel a draught from the watchmaker's fingers, even though his own weren't close enough to touch. Almost, though. The grass tickled through the pair's gloves like papery icicles but neither guy moved his hand while the other's was so close.
“Y'know something...” Sylar sighed quietly, and at once Peter felt the prickle of doubt creep over him. He shook the fluffy bobble of his hat out his face, irrationally worried that Sylar had gotten bored of humouring his silly plan and would leave, and that Peter would be left alone in the park at night to see all this hard work fail. Then Sylar's fingers twitched in the grass, and a timid smile caught the light of the heater. “This might actually not be one of your worst ideas.”
Tension left Peter's frame along with the other guy's confession. He laughed then, an echo in the midst of an otherwise empty world.
“Is that supposed to be a compliment?” He teased, chasing the grin that was trying not to emerge on Sylar's face.
It was a nice feeling to have earned the right to boast for once, but now that he had such a sought-after chance it wasn't what Peter wanted to do. Instead, his blood was pounding much faster than it had any right to in this cold. And he finally worked up the nerve to be the brave one, and touched his hand to Sylar's.
“I wouldn't go that far.” Smirking, the recovering killer avoided his eyes, but his fingers continued to link tentatively with Peter's. It was still so careful between them, this newfound intimacy, so bizarre a thing to let happen. Bizarre but unexpectedly wonderful.
Peter just scoffed in reply and shook his head at himself, at Sylar, and at how strange it was that they were honestly sitting here alone in the park with just a shitty heater, Santa hats and each other. Really though, he didn't mind too much.
But then the pressure was eased when, thankfully, magically, as if he knew what Peter was thinking, Sylar turned the motion into a more reasonable excuse to hold hands, and lifted Peter's into both of his own. Breaking their eye contact, Sylar rubbed Peter's glove briskly. “You're freezing...” It was a pointless observation, as pointless as attempting to warm up an ice cube in two other ice cubes, but everything about it only increased the whirlwind that was dancing through Peter's ribcage.
He melted, due in no part to Sylar's valiant efforts. More and more, Peter was revelling in his new hobby of uncovering these smallest aspects of this man's personality. Sylar was certainly a lot of things, and forced proximity had brought them all to light... but one thing he was not was evil. Peter was sure of it now.
Not that long ago, he would never in a million years have imagined the fearsome killer had a caring bone in his body. But not that long ago, he would never have imagined he would be camping out in Central Park with his brother's murderer either, but somehow here they were.
Maybe this was what today had been all about? Sure, their finished project would hopefully be worth the effort involved, but what if this, here, had been the reward all along? Sylar had been out here all day working with Peter. He hadn't needed to. He hadn't complained about it – too much, anyway. He had helped and he had hoped, secretly or otherwise, and now he was freezing his ass off and still trying to keep Peter happy? It was a feeling like no other the empath had ever known.
He wasn't even sure what he was going to say right then. Just that he was going to say something. But as soon as he opened his mouth, he was gently interrupted by a series of pings ricocheting from above, each one tapping more pure joy into his heart than the last.
Sylar's hands fell still around Peter's as both men stared up in awe, holding their breath as precisely five hundred and fifty hand-placed lightbulbs flickered to life in the branches of the tree before them. The generator clunked and complained but it held steady, feeding power into multi-coloured lights that clicked on one by one on perfect cue, like windows illuminating a mighty skyscraper. And then finally, after hours of planning and crafting and slaving away, Peter and Sylar sat under the fuzzy glow of their shared achievement, lost for words.
It had been worth it.
It had absolutely been worth the adventure involved in building this haven – this tiny speck of cheer and hope that rebelled from the rest of the mundane. It was the one spot in the entire city where perpetual nothingness ceased, and such a thing as potential could shine through the darkness.
It wasn't perfect though, by any means, however Peter was so glad they had decorated the tree blindly in order to preserve the grand unveiling. The thing was shabby and messily done, draped asymmetrically and neglected in parts: it was pathetic and ugly compared to the vision they had first set out to complete, but that didn't matter at all. It was still the most beautiful thing either man had laid eyes on in years.
They turned back to each other, heated to the core, more from their shared endeavor than from the jackets and measly electric heater. Peter couldn't help but grin wider than he thought possible, a phenomenon that appeared to have claimed Sylar as well.
The vastness of night clung to the two lost souls like frost, only it wasn't uncomfortable anymore. That smile, the tender hold on his glove and the glow from the string lights seeped comfort through Peter like honey, pacifying the snowstorm inside as if the sun had broken through clouds. He didn't care that it was sappy and ridiculous and would earn him a lot of teasing if he were silly enough to say so aloud – but he knew it was the lights that had done it. Or the tree. Or something that was wrapped up inside the existence of the thing, collected and presented in the best gift he could ever have hoped to receive.
He couldn't help that he suddenly felt choked up to be able to bask in tones of red and blue and green and gold when the rest of his world was in greyscale. Or that he was immensely grateful to be able to share it with someone. He could, however, do something about the pink state of his companion's ears.
There was only a moment of hesitation before he pulled his hand free, scooped up Sylar's abandoned Santa hat and plopped it down upon the man's head with the bobble stuck up straight in the air. Peter chuckled, adjusting the angle while deliberately ignoring the furious look he knew was being directed his way. “I'm not gonna break into song or anything.” He defended himself, unable not to smile when he leaned back to admire his handiwork. “Just making sure you don't fr-”
He was cut off when something soft and clumsy brushed his lips. Sweetly. Suddenly. Surreally. And then Sylar was pulling away, blinking those rich, dark eyes at him.
“...eeze.” The rest of Peter's sentence left him only as a surprised cloud of breath.
Somehow the guy tasted like snow, although the sky was clear and empty as ever. Somehow his lips were warm although he was still shivering. And somehow, for this brief moment, Peter didn't care that he should have been repulsed at himself for doing what he had, and wasn't.
Sylar's kiss prickled on his skin as the cold air pressed upon it, imprinting the touch into his person forever. It felt like a flashing red tattoo that could surely even be seen from space (if space even existed in Matt's nightmare), and Peter was sure he turned bright scarlet to match it while his heart squeezed in his chest. The gesture affected him just as much as their very first kiss had. Maybe they always would? Maybe he had gone so long without such sweet touches that he didn't remember how to handle one when he got it? Or maybe it just had something to do with this intense, raven-haired man being the engineer behind them all...
Suddenly Peter forgot all about the lights he had painstakingly waited on for hours. Because Sylar was still watching him. “I didn't know you cared.” The watchmaker purred, taking it upon himself to fix his hat over his ears while Peter stared at the curve possessing the mouth that had just encased his.
Sylar's eyes roved over every inch of the empath's face, then a scratchy glove sought out and ghosted across his crimson cheek. Probably his pulse could be felt racing through the touch but Peter didn't care, for he sure as hell could feel Sylar's in return. He tried so hard not to blush further under such warm scrutiny, but of course he failed. He would have failed even if there weren't beautiful holiday lights etching sincerity into every feature of the only other person in the world.
Face burning, that blizzard of feelings inside flocking to life once again, Peter couldn't have not smiled if his life depended on it. “Don't you go getting all gushy on me.” He said hoarsely, making as if to pull free before he could erupt into giggles or something equally as embarrassing, but Sylar wouldn't let him.
Deep chuckles rumbled out of the man's chest, the bobble of his Santa hat drooped down adorably and his thumb traced lightly over Peter's chin, now that he'd braved it so far. Then a glint of malice tore across the angles of his face. But Peter wasn't afraid, or appalled, not even when the murderer broke into quiet song, as innocently as innocent could be. The fucker.
“It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...”
Both men burst out laughing, two sparks of festivity that transcended this tree and carried into the furthest corners of the city where even the lights couldn't reach. They shouldn't be so merry while in hell. Peter shouldn't have felt such happiness to be sat here being serenaded by Nathan's killer. But despite all odds, and even just for one night, they were. And he was.
Shivering on the ground, bathed entirely in soft colours and questionable singing and every inch of Sylar's full, undivided, attention, Peter took back what he'd thought earlier. There was definitely still an evil streak in this man, after all.

How do you heat a tent in an effective way?
It is hard to keep your tent warm in freezing weather, but it is the most important thing while camping in the winter season. Many people hate camping in winter because of the cold, but there are some effective ways to keep your tent warm even if in extreme cold situations.
Here you can find the best canopy for wind and rain which you can use in winter camping to protect yourself from colder danger. By following some steps, you can get warm inside your tent.
The processes of heat a tent
Follow this article below to know how to heat a tent in extremely cold weather.
Ground insulate
Gas heaters aren’t the only way to warm your tent; you can insulate the ground to get warm inside. If you have only the floor between your body and the ground, it is recommended to lay a tarp on the ground under the tent to insulate the ground.
This will hold the warm air inside also prevent rainwater and snow. Otherwise, you can use a foam sleeping mat to give you a good night’s sleep and help you stay warm.
Heated water bottles
You can add an extra warmth inside your tent by putting some hot water bottles in your sleeping bag. But keep in mind that it is a short time solution that can not heat your tent for a long time. Use this short time solution when you are staying in your tent for a short time.
Find the right place to set up your tent
Where you set up your tent plays an essential role in the warmness. Never set your tent in open ground or a hill if you want warm inside. You should find a place with natural windbreak such as lines of trees, large rocks; this can prevent the cold wind to hit on your tent directly.
Heat some rocks
When there is no electricity, heating some rocks will be a clever way to get some extra heat in your tent. Place the heated rocks next to your tent or you can use an aluminum pan to keep the rocks on it then place it in a corner to get warm.
Final words
Insulate the ground, keep hot water bottles in the sleeping bag, finding natural windbreak space for tent, and heating some rocks are the effective ways to heat a tent. Also, you can wear a thermal dress, invest in a sleeping bag, and buy the right tent to avoid coldness and heat the tent.
