its true im a tourism Hater but also i <3 tourism… often i think about what i would give as recommendations to newcomers and two things that i think are admittedly kind of insane for me to hold to my heart are these two rules: 1) i dont really give restaurant recommendations. walk into literally any place on the street and it’ll probably be good. 2) when possible go somewhere that has a 416 area code rather than a 647 or GOD FORBID a 437 number

i think the best response anyone can have as to why a certain character is their favorite, is simply because “they’re cool :)”

"Oh, great... it seems I'm stuck with a boomer," Vivian sighs. By that point, she was starting to feel a headache coming on, prompting her to slowly shift her fingers up beneath her bangs to massage her temple. "Okay, my brother in Christ, listen carefully... the whole reason you should not be dining alone at a Chinese restaurant is due to the fact the dishes there are meant to be shared; therefore, unlike with American dining culture, ordering an entirely separate meal is considered wildly unusual," she then begins to explain.
"Seriously, you do not wanna get an entire steamed fish and eat it all by yourself unless you want to draw the stares of the non-white customers around you. Why, if you truly must have Chinese food, you should order takeout instead... do you comprehend?" In all honesty, it took such a huge amount of effort on her part to not tack on a 'capeesh' at the end, but somehow, Vivian manages to dial it back down a notch, which coming from her, was quite the impressive feat. Truly, he should be grateful she was nice enough to formalize her language so even he could understand it.
