Hello you lot, it’s been a little while, how are you all doing?
I’m writing this, distracting myself from last minute packing for Glastonbury which is coming at me quick this weekend. I’m massively disorganised at the best of times so it’s absolute chaos round here. Piles of stuff all over the place. Gambling on no rain which feels like a bit of a risk, but hey. Glastonbury for me is like summer’s answer to Christmas, so I’m well excited. Some of our most surreal and favourite gigs ever have been there, but I’ve also been coming as a punter with my mates for years and years. And while I know the idea of living in a busy, noisy field to watch music for 5 days straight is a lot of people’s idea of hell, I can’t bloody wait (even if I’ve got that anticipation-sick-stomach feeling you get before a big night). There’s so much great music on the lineup this year, but that magical parallel universe of a festival site is vast and sprawling, so feel free to imagine me and my mates - running around like headless chickens, trying to be in 6 places at once - from now til Monday. Actually don’t do that, no one needs that image.
The main reason I’m writing this is because I’ve made some new music and am in the process of getting it all ready for you to hear. I wanted to find a way to be directly in touch about all of that, about what’s been happening with us, what’s to come, and as a way to share a bunch of recommendations and things that I think are interesting (and hope you will too).
So, this is a hello to anyone who’s new here, and of course hi again to anyone who’s been around for a while. Cheers for reading this (I’m impressed if you’ve made it this far). I’m properly excited for what’s up next (more on that later) and in the meantime I’ll do my best to make these mails worth your time.
When me and the guys and our whole touring team finished our tours at the end of last year it felt like the right time for us all to take a proper break. Obviously we’re insanely lucky to get to play music and to travel all over the world with it, but we hadn’t really, properly stopped at all since we started out more than 10 years ago. Touring’s been this dominant line that’s cut right through and across most of our adult lives. While it can be an amazing whirlwind and is of course a huge privilege, it can also be completely all consuming, and, like loads of things in life, it’s not without its challenges. So, for that and for many different reasons, this year felt like the right time to not book any gigs at all and see what life looked like. It’s genuinely the first time since Bastille started that there’s been nothing scheduled. Mad.
We’ve all been off doing different things and getting on with life, while getting used to being in one place for a while. For me - in what’ll come as no surprise to anyone who knows me - I’ve not really been that great at sitting still or taking a break. I’ve been busy working on some fun things… so why would I want to not be doing that?!
Being home and being around has been genuinely brilliant, I’m really loving it. Part of that has been because for the first time in ages I’ve had the time to work on music and songwriting at home on my laptop, very much like how I did back when I was making the songs that became Bad Blood. This year so far has been such a fun and creatively satisfying time and I’ve felt well lucky having the space to chase a bunch of ideas and see where they lead and what they become. It probably sounds (and is) pretty self indulgent, but it’s been great.
Amongst all of that stuff (and general life stuff) I’ve used the time to travel a bunch, to take in as many films/books/gigs/shows/art as possible, I spent some time out at sea on the Greenpeace boat in the Bermuda Triangle (?!?!?), ran a half marathon for Warchild with some mates (thanks so much to anyone who sponsored - you’re brilliant), Tour-Managed my friends band FOURS on their UK tour with To Kill A King, and have been working away on a whole load of different projects with some brilliant people. I’ve also been learning the guitar… something I’ve always wanted to do but never seemed able to properly focus on.
And the reason I’ve learned guitar has to do with that new music I mentioned. There’ll be loads more news to come on that in the very near future (I’m excited to talk about the process and ideas behind it all… come on guys it’s my weird brain here so nothing’s ever as simple as it could be). I’ve tried to approach the whole process of recording and beyond in a totally different way, and I’m beyond excited to share it all with you.
For now… I’ve got to get back to packing or I’ll find myself on Sunday with no clean pants. I’m here in my room with my head in my phone, sat amongst these piles and I haven’t even found a bag for any of it yet, so I better get on with it.
And to anyone here that’s also heading to Glastonbury this weekend, I hope you’re all packed and ready, and maybe I’ll bump into you there somewhere? (Oh s**t, also don’t forget to come to Pilton Palais on Sunday to join me and the editor of Empire Magazine having a chat about Nosferatu and horror films!)
Speak soon.

Week 5: March 13th – 19th, 2023 // I Want vs I Should
A common theme of discussions this week was “doing things because you want to and not because you should.”
--
My first day of this week is probably in my top 5 favourite days of this trip so far. I woke up to a beautiful morning on Friendlies Beach, the white sand dusted by a pink hue of the rising sun, eating breakfast and practicing yoga as I listened to the rolling waves of the ocean. I finished the book “The Happiest Man on Earth” by Eddie Jaku, which is equally sad and inspiring. I did a solo hike up Mount Amos and filled up my water supply. It was my decision to go back to Friendlies beach for the night which I think just wrapped up this day SO beautifully! My plans were to make a 3-hour drive to Port Arthurs, but I just wasn’t sure where I’d be sleeping that night, didn’t want to risk being stuck on the side of the road somewhere, Friendlies beach was only 20min out of the way – and honestly, I just didn’t want to nor did I feel like driving a long way that night. So I didn’t.
I ended up back at the same spot I nabbed the night before, and turns out a NSW local bike-packing around Australia was setting up a tent, and a couple from the UK had been promised the site by the park manager earlier that day too. So naturally, we all ended up sharing the spot and had such a wonderful night chatting, watching the stars, sharing stories and tea together. We then spent the morning watching the sun rise together, and the boys went for a morning swim. We were all 23/24 years old and immediately felt so comfortable with one another. Making plans to meet up once our paths crossed again on the mainland.
--
Tuesday I initially planned to get to Fortescue Bay early so I could hike to Cape Hauy that afternoon, but along my drive I felt no need to rush anything, or get anywhere by any specific time. So I made many beach stops, wrote last weeks blog post, grabbed snacks and gas, and reminded myself that this trip is for me and no one else. The best part about solo travelling is that you don’t have to coordinate with others or make compromises on when and where you want to be. Your plans are allowed to flow as the day moves and change as you feel is needed. I didn’t have the energy to hike that day. So I didn’t.
I spent the evening making dinner, watching the possums and wallabies’, reading for hours, eating on the beach, and hanging out in my tent. Which was also a bit of a reflection moment – the camp no longer had car camping spots available and technically wouldn’t allow me to sleep in the van in the parking lot, so I took this as an opportunity to remind myself that it’s important to have moments of discomfort.
With all the hiking + staying in the van, I’ve honestly become somewhat worried that I’ll become attached to the comfort and not got out and experience some backpacking during my travels. Backpacking had become such a favourite way for me to explore back home -- being so fortunate enough to live in such a beautiful province with endless mountain-scapes to explore -- that I wanted to explore Australia in the same way. Sleeping in the tent was a nice little reminder to how much I love it, even though it’s nowhere near as comfortable as my van mattress…
--
The next morning, I had amazing weather and I made sure to get up nice and early to hike Cape Hauy and avoid most of the crowds. I was incredibly successful – there was no one on the trail on the way up AND I got to read at the peak for at least an hour uninterrupted. If there’s any one way to read a book (second to laying on a beach), it’s on a mountain peak with panoramic views and the warm sun shining down on you… Made a friend with a solo traveller from Maine and we spent the afternoon hiking out together, going for a swim, laying on the beach, and sharing our thoughts and lessons on doing things/being on your own, and coming back to the idea that there is nothing you “should” be doing, but rather learning how to focus on what you “want” to be doing.
I set up camp next to the water on a quiet street, where I finished another book, and ate toast + chocolate for dinner. I didn’t feel like cooking. So I didn’t.
--
Thursday morning, I was feeling quite slow – it was a cloudy turned rainy day, I felt tired from so much socializing and hiking + climbing the past week, and honestly, my brain+body just wanted a day to reset. I drove out to Cape Raoul with the intentions of completing the 15km hike, but every time I got out of the car to begin the trail, I’d realized I’d forgotten the parks pass, or couldn’t remember if I locked the car, or had to use the bathroom, or had to unload all the rain gear. I think I walked back 4 times after getting 5minutes away, and by the 4th time, the sky opened up and the rain POURED down. I crawled into the van feeling a bit defeated, and decided to accept that hiking the trail just wasn’t something I wanted to do that day anymore. So I didn’t.
Instead, I played guitar in the parking lot for an hour, laid and stared at nothing while contemplating these thoughts, and then made the drive back to Hobart, where I napped outside of Fitzy Castle (Alissa, Annie + Sam’s House name) for a few hours, before joining the house for a delicious lasagna dinner shared with another house of friends visiting for the evening. It wasn’t how I expected the day to go, but it turned out to be exactly what I needed it to be.
--
Friday the slow feeling continued – I made many attempts to work on things I felt I should be doing, like editing photos, fixing last week’s blog post, answering messages, starting this week’s post, measuring the van, buying materials, etc. But I just couldn’t. So, again, I didn’t. I sat with the slow feelings, and moved at a pace my mind and body needed and could manage. I had plans to go for a climb and a yoga class that evening that I really wanted to go to, and I knew that if I really wanted to go, I was going to need to listen to what I needed first. I ended up having a lovely time with Annie and Alissa’s other fellow Canadian friend, Leah – worked through some challenging routes, didn’t feel as strong or in-tuned with myself this session, but that was okay. I wanted to be there, and I got there, and to me that was all that mattered. I showed up for myself, and did what I was able to do.
--
Saturday and Sunday were incredibly fun and productive days! I tackled a huge part of my to-do list on the Saturday, getting all the building materials I needed for my van renos happening the next day, took myself out for lunch to Veg Bar (which has easily become my new favourite [Vegan] restaurant of all time), had a couple calls with some friends I hadn’t spoken with in a long while, cut Sam’s hair, and made dinner w/Sam+Annie. Sunday I initially only had plans to start van renos in the afternoon, but ended up going for a 2 hour climb with Sam L+Sam M+Annie and wandering the Mayfair Market, having lunch in the park and enjoying the wonderful food and sun!
The afternoon was also so successful. I brought SUPER basic plans to Rhys (stranger now friend who is helping me with my van reno’s) for the van, just to make organization a bit easier and to avoid taking too much of his time. But he was such a gem and got super stoked about tackling an even bigger (still manageable) and more exciting reno. Got to learn how to use a table saw, drew up plans and measurements, and to say I’m stoked with the upcoming “rebuild” is an understatement. It’s going to make this van function so much more smoothly and I can’t wait to show the end results in a couple weeks!
--
With all the things that I didn’t end up doing, I internally battled with myself for sometimes HOURS over what I “should” be doing. I “should” be trying to cover as much ground as I can with the limited time I have in this place; I “should” be getting out and accomplishing something physical like a hike; I “should” be making a proper dinner; I “should” be getting out of the van to explore because I made the trip there; so many “I shoulds” when really I should’ve just been focusing on the “wants,” because it’s the wants that you accomplish or act on that actually end up being the more memorable experiences. And in reality, who are the “shoulds” even for? When you put yourself into such a foreign or new experience, like travelling a new country on your own, you’re naturally going to be in a lot of uncomfortable positions, and the idea is to make is as enjoyable and memorable as you possibly can. If you get too caught up in the “shoulds,” you can easily forget the reasons why you started these journeys in the first place.
Now it’s different if you’re for example working towards running a marathon. If you really WANT to accomplish this goal, then you absolutely SHOULD be getting out for regular runs in order to set you up for success. But you need that “want,” that drive, that reason why you started in the first place to help move you through these shoulds that are actually necessary.
In summary, live your life for you. Live your life doing the things you WANT to do, because they make you feel good, empowered, whole, inspired, and excited about life. Because really, who do the “shoulds” without the connected desire, benefit in the end?
--
I also want to acknowledge how important it is to honour how you’re feeling in these moments of identifying what you want vs what you should. Knowing that you don’t always have to be showing up 100% to everything. You’re allowed to show up at 55% capacity and take your time through things that may normally be easy for you. The important part is that you listened to what you needed, and you showed up in whatever capacity you could.
Stay passionate and curious, Hunter♡

My 2024 Wrapped
Like last year, I decided to compile information from various “wrapped” analyses from different sites and my own photos to create a summary of my year in numbers!
The classic categories (carryovers from last year):
Countries visited: 4 - Germany, UK (Scotland), France, Switzerland
This is halved from last year, but I also traveled way more within Germany. So, a new (sub)metric here:
Bundesländer visited (plus the specific city I was visiting): Bayern (I live here), Thüringen (Erfurt), Baden-Württemberg (Stuttgart), Nordrhein-Westfalen (Dortmund), Sachsen (Chemnitz)
Haircuts gotten: 2
I think this is a new personal best!
Conferences presented at: 1
This is way less than last year, but I think that’s a good thing
Articles published: 1
Articles accepted for publication: 2
“Published” here means they are printed or published online in their official container. “Accepted for publication” means they are through the peer review process but aren’t out yet (either in the copyediting, final editing, or printing stages). Last year I combined articles accepted with those actually finally published, but I think it makes more sense to split the categories
Time spent on Duolingo: 2.9 days
This is down from last year but honestly still a ridiculous number
Time spent listening to music on Spotify: 16 days
An increase from last year!
Time spent listening to Taylor Swift: 6.5 days
This is also also significantly up from last year, but I’d hypothesize that the time spent listening to Taylor increases proportionally with the total time spent listening to music
Books read: 59
This is 1 more than last year, and I suspect close to my upper maximum unless I focused on reading shorter books (the average page length of books read the last few years hovers between 300-350)
And some new categories:
Degrees earned: 1 MA degree 🎉🎉
Prizes won: 1
I was the best international graduate at my university and won a DAAD prize, absolutely KO’ing imposter syndrome
Musicals/plays seen: 2
Elvis the Musical (a solid 2 out of 5 stars because the performers were talented but it was definitely not my vibe) and Dornröschen (at a Marionettentheater, which was fun)
Concerts attended: 1 (Eras Tour 💖)
Bonus - Categories removed:
Types of animals petted: Nothing unusual or exciting this year, so no reason to count it
Time spent listening to podcasts: My spotify wrapped didn't include this information, but it's a pretty low number (like single digit hours)

What Advantages You Can Have by Booking Business Class Flight Tickets Online?
In the golden era of information technology, booking a flight ticket along with the hotel, rental car airport pick and drop services or sightseeing tours is justifiable. The online availability of these services has simplified the tourism sector unlike the previous times when people had to wait in a long queue at the airlines’ offices to book flight tickets and the same goes for booking hotels and other services. While planning for your next vacation to New Zealand, keep exploring the available business class flights to New Zealand from UK at some of the leading online travel companies reputed for their fast and user-friendly interface.
Here are some of the advantages of online business-class flight ticket booking—
Save your time and money
From buying clothes online to food, users know the unfathomable advantages people of this generation are exploiting with the perfect collaboration of the internet and information technology. To save your hard-earned money and your precious time, visit a couple of leading online travel agencies such as White Magic Travels, well-known for being one of the best aggregator sites showcasing numerous flights flying to your targeted location. According to your choice, click on certain features in the search panel for better search results of the premium economy flights to Australia or elsewhere. Later, opt for an upgrade to fly business class by paying some extra. For instance, if you are in search of a business class flight then be flexible with your date and time to save more.
Enjoy the variety of cabin classes
Instead of visiting the airline offices to know about the number of cabin classes or more information about the business class flight to Thailand, visit the aggregator sites or the OTA where they provide detailed information about the number of cabin classes they have. For instance, Singapore Airlines has five cabin classes from economy to suites.
Ease of comparing available flight
Besides the aggregator sites, also visit the official websites of the airlines for detailed information straight from the horse’s mouth. Often the aircraft are upgraded with time and they flash the news. Therefore, before hastily booking any first class or business-class flight to Dallas from UK, you need to compare the available flights for detailed information.
Know about the layovers & time of flight before booking
Online ticket booking is an incredible option to get the details of the total overlays and flight times.
Grab attractive deals with or without travel credit cards only by choosing to book your business-class flight tickets online.

A Ferris wheel is one of those iconic funfair rides that everyone remembers. They not only make regular appearances at funfairs up and down the country, but you can also hire them for private events. Here are 6 tips for hiring a Ferris wheel to make sure you get the best for your money. 1 What Size Wheel There are two basic wheels you will see in the UK. What we tend to term a traditional wheel, which in actual fact is more than likely to be American in origin, more specifically from the Eli Bridge company of Jacksonville Illinois. This is the type of wheel that was in the final scene of Grease, the movie. They are also what you most probably rode as a child, and they are what is usually hired for private events. Ferris Wheel Hire The other big wheel type, is big, really big. They have been christened Continental Wheels in the UK, but are generally referred to as giant wheels on the continent. They come in a multitude of sizes, the travelling models tending to be 50-60 metres in height, with some fixed models of 100m up over. These can be hired privately, however keep in mind that a typical 50m wheel would come on 5-6 trailers, with each one being towed by a vehicle averaging perhaps 6-7 MPG. They would take a number of days to set up and similar to take back down, using a crew of perhaps 6-8 staff members. So unless you are Elon Musk or the likes, you aren't going to hire one for a 5 year olds birthday party in your back garden. 2 Where Will The Wheel Be Built We will proceed under the assumption that you aren't Elon Musk and wish to hire the smaller Eli Bridge type wheel. For the other type, much of what we advise is equally valid, but you would need a specialist survey to ensure the ground can take the weight and stress of a true giant wheel. Ideally a perfectly flat tarmac or concrete surface such as a car park is what we like for a wheel. Realistically, this isn't always possible. Grass is fine, as long as it isn't too soft. This is more for the vehicles carrying the ride rather than an issue with the ride. A wheel is a stable structure, well balanced and with large outriggers to prevent it tilting. Getting it into position on extremely soft ground is where the problems arrive. We carry wooden boards to drive on across soft ground, and if you need us 50 or 60ft across a field its not an issue. If you want us half a mile across a swamp it isn't going to happen. Access The other issue people seem to be oblivious to, is actually having an entrance large enough to drive the ride through. We have turned up on site visits many a time, to find out that although there is a 300 acre field available, the only access is through a gate 4ft wide, or around a sharp bend that you would be lucky to manage with a classic mini without a couple of shunts. Imagine the large vehicles you see on the motorway, then widen it a foot and add perhaps 10ft on the end. That will give you an idea of how long a typical ride is. If in doubt ask about a site visit. There may be a small charge, but a decent operator will waive this if you end up booking. 3 Ensure It Carries The Correct Documentation Thankfully, with the funfair industry being so highly regulated, the cowboys have pretty much been forced out. But, that doesn't mean you shouldn't still undertake due diligence when hiring attractions. Circumstances can conspire to create a situation where someone may cut corners, be it down to greed, or desperation. The best way to ensure your safety, is to make sure your chosen operator can actually supply a full set of safety documentation. The following list are all legally required documents, if they can't provide any of them, run away, quickly: - Public Liability Insurance (Self Explanatory) - Risk Assessments (To how the ride has been assessed to ascertain what risks exist) - Fire Assessments (Like the Risk assessment, but looking for fire based issues) - Method Statements (A document showing what has been put in place to mitigate the risks identified) - ADIPS Certificate (Much like an MOT, showing the ride has been tested by an independent engineer for safety) - Daily Inspection Record (To show that each day the ride is operated it has been checked by the operator) Adips One the mentioned documents, the ADIPS cert bears a little more explaining. Each ride has to undergo an annual inspection to ensure it is safe to operate. This includes electrical and mechanical safety, and may well include non destructive testing such as x-rays or dye penetration inspections to check for metal fatigue and cracking. A certificate is issued once the ride is passed as safe. This has all the relevant information about the ride. It also has two important things to look out for. One is the ADIPS inspection number, If you visit their website, you can actually input this number to ensure the document is correct and up to date. The other is the photograph in the top right hand of the document. This should match the ride you have hired. If it doesn't it could mean that the ride you have hired isn't covered by that document. A big no no. Adip 2021 Above is an example of what the DOC looks like, you can see the image in the top right hand corner, directly below this image will be the DOC number. 4 Ask For Photos Of What You Are Hiring There are some absolutely immaculate wheels on the hire market. There are sadly a few poor examples, and the majority are comfortably in the middle, quite presentable rather than exceptional. You are certainly entitled to ask for a photo of what the operator is proposing to hire to you. Beware of tiny thumbnails that show no details, and ask for how old the photos are. Something immaculate 20 years ago could look very different now. Any professional operator wants his client to be happy. A successful job isn't just one where they earn money, its one where the client is happy and will use them again. pexels wendelin jacober-1411445 (1) Take a look at the wheel above, this can quite accurately be described to you as one hot wheel without telling any lies. Thing is, it's hot, not because it's a fabulous wheel, but because it was in the vicinity of Chernobyl when the nuclear reactor exploded. So don't trust to descriptions alone, unless it is someone you have worked with before and trust. 5 Ensure The Quote You Have Includes Everything Although we haven't really heard of it happening with wheels. A favourite tactic of one competitor when offering dodgems for hire, was to quote a price roughly halve of everyone else's. When your ride turned up, it didn't have lights or music. There was no top cover so it wouldn't work it it rained, and you only got 4 cars. They would inform you that the ride supplied was exactly what you had paid for. If you wanted all the additional extras and the more usual 14 cars, then they were extra. Your choice at that point was to pay what could end up being more than you had been quoted from other operators for the same service, or put up with half a ride. Most companies quote within a narrow price band. If something is exceptionally cheap it is for a reason, and not usually a good one. Another Cowboy Another cowboy we came across had an ingenious scheme. He would quote a price about 40% less than anyone else. To secure it you had to pay an immediate £500 NON REFUNDABLE deposit. The day before your event, you would receive a phone call informing you that sadly, the ride you had booked had been destroyed by fire/stolen/kidnapped by space aliens. But not to worry, they had a couple of children's roundabouts they could bring you. When you complained the event wasn't for kids and you were cancelling, they were happy to let you do that. Of course the deposit was non refundable. Cowboy Operator Is it legal? Hmm, probably not, getting you money back by going to court probably outweighs the £500. If you give the guy too much hassle he had the option of refunding your money to stop the case. He kept far more than he lost though. 6 If You Have Any Unusual Requirements, Agree Them Beforehand Do you want only Max Bygraves records playing on the ride. Or the lights switched off for some reason. Perhaps you want your pet donkey to be allowed to ride. Talk the to supplier and make sure this is possible, before the day of the event. It isn't fair complaining that they had none of Mr Bygraves songs to play, if they were totally unaware that you were a fan. Most reasonable requests we are happy to comply with. We enjoy a bit of fun, and want you to be happy. (Not sure about letting the donkey ride though). But be aware of the fact that we will not, compromise safety to please you. No amount of offering to sign waivers will make any difference, (and for the record, judges tend not to view the practice very kindly, their take is that the fact we had a waiver signed meant we knew it was unsafe to do), we want the job, and we want you to be happy with it, but not at the risk of hurting or killing someone. If you want any more info on the ins and outs of hiring a Ferris wheel, drop us an email, or pick the phone up, we are quite happy to talk to you about it without obligation. Read the full article

With Jepsons Holidays, you can embrace the flexibility of motorhome travel while enjoying top-of-the-line amenities. Here’s why a luxury motorhome holiday in the UK might just be your best travel decision yet.
Flexible Itineraries for Unique Experiences
One of the primary benefits of a motorhome holiday is the flexibility it offers. You set the schedule, deciding when to stop and where to explore. If a location captures your heart, stay a bit longer. With a luxury motorhome, you’re free from the rigid itineraries of organized tours, letting you take your time and soak up the surroundings.
Home Comforts on the Road
Luxury motorhomes offer more than just a way to get around—they are a home away from home. Equipped with spacious sleeping areas, cozy living spaces, and fully functional kitchens, you can relax and recharge in complete comfort. With Jepsons Holidays’ fleet, you don’t sacrifice comfort for adventure; you get both.
Cost-Efficient Travel
A motorhome holiday can be more cost-effective than other forms of travel. Instead of booking separate hotels and rental cars, you have your accommodation and transportation all in one, reducing the hassle and expense. Additionally, you can prepare your meals on board, saving on dining out while enjoying home-cooked favorites.
Exploring the UK with a Luxury Motorhome
The UK is packed with incredible destinations that are ideal for motorhome holidays. From the dramatic landscapes of Scotland to the coastal charm of Wales, there’s something for every traveler.
Caravan Holidays in North Scotland
A popular route for motorhome travelers, North Scotland offers untamed beauty with breathtaking scenery, making it a top destination for caravan holidays. Known for its remote beaches, towering mountains, and charming villages, this region is a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
With a luxury motorhome, you can visit iconic spots like the Isle of Skye, known for its dramatic landscapes and rich cultural history, or the Cairngorms National Park, where you’ll find dense forests and picturesque trails. Try whale-watching on the Moray Firth coast or venture to John o' Groats, the northern tip of mainland Scotland. A caravan holiday here brings the best of Scotland's wilderness right to your doorstep.
Experience Motorhome Holidays Across the UK
Motorhome holidays in the UK allow you to explore beyond the usual tourist spots. Imagine waking up by the rolling hills of the Lake District or beside the tranquil lochs of the Scottish Highlands. Motorhome hire from Jepsons Holidays allows you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the countryside, uncover hidden gems, and create your own adventure.
Whether it’s the beaches of Cornwall, the historic sites in Northumberland, or the cozy villages of the Cotswolds, each region offers its own unique charm. And with the flexibility of motorhome travel, you’re free to choose the destinations that best suit your interests and pace.
Things to Do in Pwllheli, North Wales
Pwllheli, a quaint market town in North Wales, is an ideal stop on your motorhome holiday. With stunning beaches and scenic coastal paths, Pwllheli offers various outdoor activities and historical sites that make it a memorable destination.

Tips for a Memorable Motorhome Holiday
Planning ahead and following a few simple tips can help ensure a smooth and enjoyable motorhome experience with Jepsons Holidays.
Pack Essentials, but Don’t Overpack
A luxury motorhome provides plenty of storage, but it’s easy to overpack. Focus on essentials, especially outdoor gear for hiking and cycling. Don’t forget weather-appropriate clothing and comfort items to make your motorhome feel more like home.
Plan Your Stops, but Stay Open to New Adventures
It’s helpful to outline your travel itinerary, but don’t be afraid to deviate if something catches your eye. Discovering unexpected places is part of the charm of motorhome holidays. Look for scenic campsites or hidden trails along the way.
Respect Local Rules and Nature
When traveling by motorhome, it’s important to respect the environment and adhere to local regulations. Practice responsible tourism by parking in designated areas, minimizing waste, and respecting wildlife and natural habitats.
Keep a Travel Journal
A motorhome holiday is filled with unique experiences. A travel journal helps you document your journey and reflect on the memories made. Capture each special moment, from scenic views to spontaneous adventures, so you can look back on them long after the trip.
