SYNOPSIS. in which while shopping for wedding dresses for your best friend, you can't help but want to try one on too. PAIRING. choi seungcheol x gn!reader (ft. jihyo from twice as reader's engaged best friend) GENRE. fluff, established relationship WARNINGS. mild cursing, terms of endearment, reader wears a wedding dress, cheol doesn't show up until like halfway into the fic HAHAH WORD COUNT. 2.2k
notes: this is lowkey me describing my dream dress if i do somehow get married lmao so also self indulgent too ig, and it was fun searching up dresses! this also reminds me of that one scene from extraordinary attorney woo. if u know u know :') happy belated bday cheol <3
[02:39PM | y/n] should be done with jihyo's appointment in a few hours!! you can pick me up then bub❤️
[2:41PM | cheol 💕] Sounds good, my love. I'll see you then 😊
"Wait, oh my God, that one is beautiful!"
"Right?!" Jihyo exclaims eagerly before swiping to the next photo in her camera roll, on it displayed a gorgeous mermaid wedding dress that she had saved from Pinterest. "Okay, not sure if I like the mermaid ones but this was one was too pretty to not be saved."
"You can always ask to try one on too. I still think you'd rock whichever one you put on," You tell her, lacing an arm around hers as the two of you approach the bridal boutique that was just around the corner. "I still can't believe you're getting married."
When you and Jihyo exchange knowing glances with each other, squeals of excitement escape both of you. It feels surreal, almost like a dream knowing that your best friend is about to walk down the aisle and take her first steps into married life. Just ahead of the two of you, the bridal boutique gleams with soft lights and elegantly displayed gowns in the windows.
As you both step inside, the cozy warmth of the boutique wraps around you, and a subtle, lingering floral scent and delicate perfume fills the air. The interior is enchanting yet inviting, with a variety of dresses arranged by style. The boutique's consultant greets you both with a welcoming smile, and after a brief chat and a rundown of the different options, she leads you to a private area where Jihyo can begin her fitting.
You follow Jihyo as she naturally gravitates towards the gowns on display. You can tell she's already picturing herself in each dress. It's a bit overwhelming being surrounded by so many intricately designed dresses, like you've walked straight into a world of fairytale. Lace, satin, tulle𑁋every fabric imaginable seems to be represented here.
While helping Jihyo pick out some dresses, you can't lie that some have caught your eye more than you can admit. Knowing that one day these dresses will be worn by someone on of the most important days of your life fills you with awe. The thought makes your heart full, and briefly, you can't but help but imagine yourself walking down the aisle one day.
For a moment, your mind flickers to the thought of Seungcheol, and your heart does a jump.
One particular white tulle, floral embroidered dress with off-shoulder sleeves catches your attention. It's a perfect blend of elegance and romance. You let your hand run over the delicate embroidery, marvelling with admiration at the elaborate details caressed over every inch of it. The floral patterns are so finely crafted that they seem to bloom like real flowers right out of the fabric.
"Y/N, you need to try that on right now!"
You turn swiftly at the sound of Jihyo's commanding voice. "What? No, I can't𑁋"
"Come on, please!" Jihyo urges insistently while holding just about a dozen dresses in her hands. "It's so beautiful!"
"But this is for your special day, not𑁋"
"Honey, you and Seungcheol have been together for so long now, and sooner or later, you're going to have your special day too. Just try it on for fun, and I’d love to see how it looks on you!"
Okay, she really didn't have to bring up Seungcheol like that, but now you can't get it out of your head. An odd, fluttery feeling bursts in your stomach on top of the embarrassment crawling up your neck.
"Fine," You relent with a playful look. "But I'll do it after you try on all your dresses. Once again, today is for you, missy."
A wide grin spreads across her face as she shuffles towards the fitting room. "It's a deal!"
The next hour or so you spend lounging on the couch as Jihyo tries on dress after dress. Each one seems to bring out a different side of her: from elegant to dramatic, playful to sophisticated. You can’t help but laugh and cheer her on, snapping pictures and videos to capture every moment. You also help with various aspects of the fittings, from adjusting straps to even adding the veil on her head.
"You look like a princess!" You exclaim, clapping your hands as she twirls in a voluminous ball gown in front of the mirror.
"I feel like one!" Jihyo giggles, even doing a dramatic hair flip to add for an endearing touch.
The last one that she tries on is a mermaid dress with stunning lace detailing and a long, flowing train that spreads across the floor like ocean waves. As she steps out of the fitting room, the dress hugs her curves perfectly, and she looks every bit of a confident, radiant bride shining in her own element.
"Girl," You gasp out, voice full of awe. "that dress was made for you. You look absolutely stunning!"
Jihyo gazes at herself in the mirror. "Really?"
"Yes!" You claim, and you almost want to cry thinking about your best friend walking down the aisle. "I can so picture you walking down the aisle in this, holy shit."
Jihyo chuckles bashfully at your reaction.
"I'm going to be a bride," she says aloud, somewhat to herself and in a way announcing to the world too, before turning to you with a gleeful expression. "I'm going to be a bride!"
[04:45PM | cheol 💕] Are you done, sweetheart? I got to leave work earlier and just arrived at the place. Might come in since it's boiling outside 😅
"I really don't know about this𑁋"
"Come on, just try it on!" Jihyo nudges you ever so slightly to the fitting room, the dress trembling in your grasp. "This will be us doing some early preparations for your wedding, 'kay?"
Reluctantly, you find yourself stepping into the fitting room, the dress in your hands feeling both light and heavy at the same time. Taking a long, deep breath, you start to change into the dress as the consultant comes to your side to assist.
At first, the fabric feels odd against your skin, the delicate embroidery and soft tulle brushing against your shoulders as you put on the dress. The off-shoulder sleeves fit surprisingly snug when you slip them through your arms. The floral patterns seem to come alive right before your eyes, just like they had when you first saw the dress.
You take the first glance of yourself in the mirror in the fitting room, and it's almost as if you've been kicked in the gut and all the words had left you.
"Wow," You whisper to yourself, doing a small spin to see how the dress looks, and it feels absolutely magical to be the one wearing this dress right now.
Scrambling slightly, you look around your scattered belongings on the floor for your phone, knowing that you just have to capture this very moment before you would have to take the dress off.
But you can't find your phone anywhere.
"Crap, where did I put it?" You mumble annoyedly, having to move your dress around to get a better look, yet you still don't see it. Did you leave it outside? "Hey, Jihyo! If you're out there, can you pass me my phone?"
No response.
"Jihyo?"
Still no response.
Deflating your shoulders, you decide you might as well step outside to retrieve it.
"I didn't think the dress would fit this good. It's a bit heavier than I thought but I think I could manage𑁋"
And then you freeze, almost as if you were caught red-handed committing some sort of heinous crime, because Seungcheol is standing not that far away from you, eyes wide with disbelief and mouth dropped down to the floor at the sight of you wearing the wedding dress.
For a few moments, it's like the world stops as well, and you start to feel a little self-conscious under his gaze.
"Cheol? What are you..." Then you look down at yourself and the dress you were wearing. "You're here earlier than I-I thought, I should go change𑁋"
Seungcheol blinks back to reality from your words. "Wait, no, don't move, please."
He keeps his eyes locked on you, his gaze moving from your face, to the way the dress hugs and accentuates your figure in all the right ways, then back up again. You can practically see the gears turning in his head. You can't help but feel a blush creeping up your cheeks as you stand there, awkwardly holding the hem of the dress in your sweaty hands.
You can hear your heart pounding in your chest. This is not how you imagined seeing Seungcheol after Jihyo's appointment. You were expecting a casual, friendly greeting, maybe a quick kiss, and then a drive home. But this... this is different. You've been with Seungcheol for years, but he's staring at you like he's seeing you for the first time.
"Wow, I..." He scratches the back of his neck sheepishly before placing his hands in his pockets. "You're fucking breathtaking, honey."
Your cheeks burn brighter than ever, some sort of choked sound leaving you at his bluntness. You glance down at the dress, then back at Seungcheol.
"You... You think so?" You ask, voice timid and tainted with unsureness.
"Think so?" he repeats, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "I know so. I can't take my eyes off you."
A rush of heat climbs up your neck as you avert your eyes away, pretending to adjust the hem of the dress, fingers clumsily tugging at the material. The dress suddenly feels suffocatingly hot and you don't know how much more you can take.
His eyes still don't leave you even when he steps closer, the features of his face softening into simply an adoring look.
You could feel your feet melting into the ground below. "Cheol, I should really go change𑁋"
"Not yet," he says firmly, and you stay put. "Just let me look at you for a little longer, please?"
That familiar, pleading tone to his voice makes your heart run laps in your chest and causes your knees to feel like jelly. He takes a few more steps towards you, and before you know, he's standing right in front of you, half-lidded eyes flickering between yours and your lips. He takes a hand out of his pocket and reaches out to gently cup your face, letting a finger trace slowly over your cheek, leaning in just close enough to whisper in your ear.
"I can't wait to marry you."
His words come out so quiet that you're barely able to hear it. And before you can respond, some loud, marching footsteps snaps you out of thought.
"Y/N! Look at this, I found the perfect veil for you!" When Jihyo sees you and Seungcheol, she stops short in her tracks, glancing at the sight of you in the dress and Seungcheol standing in front of you appearing as if he was just two seconds away from kissing you.
You clear your throat loudly, stepping away from Seungcheol and towards Jihyo.
"You found a veil for me?" You ask her.
"Yeah, put it on!" Jihyo hands you the dainty veil. "I went through hell trying to find a good one and I think this one works perfectly."
You feel Seungcheol's eyes on you as you carry the veil towards the mirror and carefully place it over your head. The light, airy fabric showers down around you, complementing the elegant gown. As you adjust the veil to your liking, you catch a glimpse of your reflection and can't help but smile. You see Seungcheol in the mirror as well, staring at you with an intense gaze of admiration.
And when you turn around, Seungcheol thinks you look more beautiful than what his imagination could possibly give him. He has to bite at his bottom lip in order to suppress some of the giddiness threatening to spread throughout his body, and the thought of seeing you again in a wedding dress makes him almost dizzy.
You're like an angel who has stepped foot into his world. The dress houses your wings and the veil is your halo. It's a perfect vision of the future he’s been dreaming about for so long it nearly makes him burst; a reality that he never thought he'd be seeing so soon.
He's going to marry you𑁋he knows he will. He knew that from that moment you first smiled at him back in your freshman year English class, all because you both simply made unexpected eye contact while you were introducing yourself. He knew it even more when he embarrassingly fell on his ass during a university soccer game and your laugh was the only sound that he could hear.
This is his first peek of forever with you, and he can't wait for it to all come true.
Seungcheol faintly hears you ask what he thinks about it, and only the heavens know how much he wants to answer by putting that ring stashed in the depths of his bedside drawer on your finger right then and there. But there's a time and place for everything. He has to make sure everything is perfect first.
So, yeah, he should really get to planning. And right now seems like a good start.

"Dress Up"
Shopping for disguises is something that the Taskforce sometimes dreads and sometimes are excited about. But when the mission called for having you dressed up for the supposed Gala that you are all to attend to, they immediately scrambled to the nearest boutique to find the best gown for you.
The four men sat at the dress boutique, an odd bunch as the sales lady assisting you was inside the changing room to help with the lacing and fixing up the dress. So far, the picks have been good, none of them totally into it because some have been a
... Questionable.
Soap chose a dark navy blue dress that showed so much of your back, which in return immediately got him hit on the back of his head by Ghost.
Gaz chose a rose colored dress but the slit reached almost your hip and Price couldn't have shoved you back in the changing stall so fast to hide you.
Price chose a red dress, a quite regal looking one that's a halter neckline and a glittery mermaid style that got a few appreciative nods.
Ghost, however, picked something that no one else expected him to ever choose. It wasn't goofy or ugly or anything. Quite the opposite.
You stepped out the changing stall, blushing, as you stared at the mirrors and the men all froze, especially Ghost. The three immediately looked at the masked man before looking at you again and they all sported a red shade on their cheeks and ears, refusing to look away from you.
Ghost chose a dress with sweetheart neckline, slightly fitted at the top with a sparkly plain skirt. Nothing too flared or anything but still gorgeous on you. Was even nice enough to get you a silver belt too. The fucking color of the dress? White.
Ghost picked a wedding dress for you to try on.
Imagination ran wild between the men before you cleared your throat. "I don't think I'll wear this one... Cause..." Your voice trailed off when they didn't even move a muscle, just busy gazing at you.
Nobody answered for a moment before Price clears his throat. "That uhm... Looks great, love but not for this occasion. I think we should get the halter one. You pick the color."
I nodded and went to the sales lady, leaving the men in awe at what they just saw. Ghost looked at Soap who was grinning as he held up his phone. Sneaky Scottish bastard managed to take pictures and Gaz immediately requested for a few copies, making Price chuckle.
Secured with the dark blue version of the halter dress and the same silver belt that Ghost picked, the team headed out of the boutique.

Ghost went back the next day, and bought the dress he picked and a veil himself, gazing at his new phone wallpaper of you in the very same dress. You never know when you might need it ;3

Can't Let You Go
Jake "Hangman" Seresin x reader
Summary: When you and Jake broke up, it hurt both of you more than you could handle. Now, after three months of barely seeing or speaking to one another, Jake walks in on the surprise of seeing you in a wedding dress, and it brings past memories and ruined dreams to the surface.
Notes/Warnings: it's a fluffy ending (despite how the summary makes it sound). maybe a bit angsty . There might be cursing. Jake smokes a cigarette. Bradley and Nat are together for this, but there's not much focus on it (sorry to those who find that unappealing).
Words: 1800
-----
What’s the worst that could happen?
That one question was how your bride-to-be best friend got you to squeeze yourself into a wedding dress. You’d protested, heavily, but the last thing you wanted was to snuff out her excitement. So you appeased her with a nod and a false smile and shuffled into a dressing room to do as she'd begged.
What compelled you to select a gown you actually liked was beyond you. You hadn’t wanted to try one on, too afraid of the emotional toll that had the possibility of rearing its ugly head, and yet you didn’t just grab the closest dress off of the nearest rack. You roamed the store until you discovered the one that made your heart skip a beat. A dress that caused your breath to catch as you imagined yourself walking down an aisle, to him.
As you looked yourself up and down, you felt the tears sprouting for the dream that never came to fruition. You couldn’t tear your eyes away until Nat shouted, “You have to come out. That's kind of the whole point, Hon.” So you did, stepping up onto the low pedestal.
Her eyes widened, her fingers moving to cover her lips. She stared for a long moment. “Oh my God,” she said with a sweet smile, “You look perfect.”
“Nat,” you sighed, “come on.”
“You do!”
“Thank you, but this is—” Silly, you were going to say. But the jingle of the boutique door's bell interrupted you.
From her seat on the suede couch, Nat’s eyes shot over your shoulder. Her face paled. A muttered ‘Fuck’ met your ears in the voice of her fiance.
With your brow pinched in confusion, you turned, the dress swishing at your feet with your sharp twist.
Two pairs of eyes were glued to you. One set—a rich, dark brown—was alight with shock; the other—mossy green and all too familiar—was filled to the brink with pain.
“Jake…” you tried, but he was out the door.
You found your hand reaching out the slightest in the direction he'd gone. As if you could graze your fingers over the fabric of his shirt and tighten it within your palm to pull him back to you.
After absorbing the moment, you hurriedly stepped off the pedestal and rushed into the changing room to strip yourself of the dress.
“You didn’t tell me she was coming to your fitting,” you heard Bradley attempt to whisper.
“Well, you didn’t tell me you were bringing Jake along to pick me up,” Nat countered. You could practically see the irritation on her face, her arms crossed in defense and foot tapping loudly against the tile.
“He didn’t want to be alone. Today marks three months since they—”
Nat shushed him as you pulled back the curtain, reclothed in your jeans and t-shirt. “Hon,” she started, taking a step toward you, “I’m so sorry. I had no idea he was coming.”
“I know. It’s ok,” you assured her before flicking your eyes to Bradley. “Which way did he go?”
“Right,” he didn’t hesitate to say, and you nodded.
“Thank you.”
—--
The boutique stood alone on the street, nothing flanking it and thankfully making it evident with one quick glance that Jake, had he attempted to make a run for it, wouldn’t be able to get far. You didn’t see him, so there was only one other option.
When you rounded the building, you found him leaning against the brick wall, his head tilted slightly upward, his eyes closed, as he blew out a breath of smoke. The cigarette trapped between his fingers wiggled from his shaking hand.
Sensing your presence, like he’d always managed to do, he said, “Please tell me you didn’t get engaged three months after we broke up.”
You walked up to his side and copied his stance. “Of course not.” When he didn’t follow up with more, you continued. “I thought you quit.”
Jake finally opened his eyes to glance down at the cigarette. “I quit for you,” he said before taking another drag.
You felt your heart squeeze in your chest.
You’d always worried about him, long before you even got together. His job, his emotions, his habits. His job you couldn’t change, but his emotions and the habits that came with them, you could help. You’d been there for him, and he for you. Yet, it didn't occur to you that he would find himself revisiting past obstacles without you by his side. It should’ve. You should’ve pushed through any discomfort or awkwardness between you to be there for him. You should have been better.
“Jake…”
He released another stream of smoke, the quiet act somehow effectively cutting you off. “I’m not back on ‘em. Just one here or there…” he flicked his index finger to knock off the ashes, “to calm me down.”
Beats passed. How many, you couldn’t say. All you knew was that not so much silence had filled the bubble around the two of you since you were left spent and hurt after the blow up of ending your relationship. Though, in truth, you hadn’t been near each other enough in the past few months for the possibility of that situation to present itself.
“I didn’t expect to see you,” he suddenly said, “and the dress kind of…threw me.”
“Nat made me.”
With a snort, he said, “Figures.”
More agonizing silence dragged painful memories to the surface. The tears, the shouts, the pleading and apologies from the day that continued to haunt you.
“Jake.”
He hummed.
“I think we need to find a way to exist in the same space. It’s too difficult to try to work around one another when it comes to our friends and the places we frequent in town. I understand that you don’t want to be with me, but—”
“Me?” he snapped, head whipping in your direction. The blaze in his eyes seared the shock in yours, yet his tone maintained a calmness that, when accompanying his words, felt more eerie than anything. “I don’t want to be with you? You’re the one who ended us. You told me you were leaving, and then you didn’t even go.”
Your head fell and you began to pick at your fingernail. “Would you have preferred I left?”
“I would’ve preferred if you stayed my girlfriend.”
Looking up, you asked, “What changed your mind?”
A flash zipped across the green of his irises. “What are you talking about?”
“A week after we broke up, I chose not to go,” you said. “I wanted to be with you more than I wanted that job. I went to your house to tell you, but you weren’t there, so I went to the bar.” A hard swallow at another memory failed to relieve the aching lump in your throat. “I found you kissing some woman and I realized you’d already moved on.”
Jake took careful breaths—one too many for your liking—before letting out a soft chuckle. It held no humor. He shook his head.
"I didn't move on."
"Jake, I saw you."
"She kissed me," he said. "I told her it wasn't going to happen, then went home and drank myself stupid trying not to think of you." His eyes tore away from yours to stare ahead. And with a pinched brow, he shook his head once again as he tossed the remaining nub of the cigarette into a nearby trash can. "I did not succeed, I should add. So, no, I didn't move on. I can't even imagine trying."
You were overwhelmed with an array of emotions, each of them warring, mixing chaotically. Waves of relief crashed into the shame lingering from the day you fought. They churned with the pain you'd yet to let go of after seeing someone else kissing the man you love. There was a tick of embarrassment from the, now very clear, misunderstanding between you. But it was the cautious joy that overpowered it all.
"You still love me?" You said softly.
A low laugh rumbled in his chest.
"That's funny?"
"No, baby, I just—" he paused then brushed his fingers through his hair. "I don't know. I never thought I'd have to answer a question like that."
Your lips parted, ready to ask why such a simple question from you was practically stumping him, but he was one step ahead.
"I was always trying to prove how much I love you. Every single day I made sure of it. And I'd hoped I showed it well enough that you'd never need to ask," he said. A light shrug of his shoulders—barely noticeable, yet far from nonchalant—followed. "But here we are."
Without a thought to stop yourself, you reached up to cup his cheek, drawing his eyes back to yours.
"Jake, I didn't question it. I knew you loved me," you swore. "But I ruined things, and feelings can change."
As if understanding your immediate uncertainty that bloomed from your sudden touch, Jake wrapped his fingers around your wrist before you could dare to withdraw it back to your side.
"Not mine," he said. Then quieter: "Never mine."
The fresh rawness of his stare, of his tense brow, and softly parted lips, broke your heart. He looked ready to fall to his knees and weep at your feet. He looked how you had felt for months. Like standing, breathing, putting one foot in front of the other, was not easily done. Since you’d left him, nothing had been natural. Nothing came easy. Living life was a chore. And seeing Jake release it all in front of you with his desperation and devastation clear as day, allowed you to do the same.
Your palm fell to his chest. Jake brushed an escaped tear from the corner of your mouth, then rested his forehead against yours.
"It's ok," he whispered. "It's gonna be ok."
"I still love you," you said between sniffles.
With a heavy exhale, his whole body eased out of its rigidity. "I love you, too."
"Would…” you started but paused, unsure if your question would be your final strike. But you couldn’t stop the pounding in your heart, nor deny the need you had for Jake. So, despite the shake in your voice, you pressed on. “Would you take me back?"
Your eyes were closed, but you could sense his smile. Then he said:
"Baby, I never let you go."

May I propose that for a fun twist, that when Vaggie goes dress shopping with her mamá and hermanas she tries every single thing but the white just gives her the ick reminding her of Heaven a bit too much. So Carmilla picks out something unconventional for her. A red and black wedding dress…one that has a slit going up to her thigh that shows off the black lacey wedding garter.
Before meeting Charlie, the thought of "marriage" and "Vaggie" in the same sentence had never computed in Vaggie's mind. Even when she and Charlie had started dating, she hadn't been sure marriage was in the stars for her. It seemed like something other people did, but not her. But then Charlie had proposed to her, and Vaggie's entire outlook had been turned on its head. Vaggie had of course said yes, and now it's up to her to figure out what that means for herself.
The only problem is, Vaggie has no idea how to plan for a wedding, or what to even wear, for that matter. She's never been to one, and has no idea what the ceremony even entails. Thankfully, she now has a mother who had been married at one point when she was alive, and two older sisters more than willing to provide an...age-appropriate opinion, so that Carmilla doesn't get carried away, as mothers are often wont to do.
Don't get her wrong, Vaggie values Carmilla's opinion...she just thinks Odette and Clara might provide some much-needed...perspective. Carmilla was married a long time ago...and times have changed since then.
Case in point: Carmilla is old-school, and drags Vaggie, who is very nearly on the verge of puking, through a boutique stacked floor to ceiling with the most gaudy white and white-adjacent wedding gowns Vaggie thinks she's ever seen. Carmilla says it's tradition, and just the way things are usually done. White has been the color of choice for brides for generations of women -- mostly for reasons like tradition, symbolism, personal preference, and just carrying down the same outfits from generation to generation.
The only problem is, Vaggie hates white. Hates it. It reminds her of Heaven and empty platitudes and purity culture and asshole nobles who had called her and the other Exorcists "ruffians" for not embracing the typical snow-white and pastel attire adorned by almost everyone else up there.
Vaggie tries on a few white and lighter-colored dresses, because she loves Carmilla, and a part of her really wants Carmilla's approval in this. But after about the fourth or fifth one, she can feel the bile creeping up the back of her throat at the thought of trying on another. When Carmilla tries to shove the next dress into her arms, Vaggie puts her foot down.
"Mama!" Vaggie huffs, pushing the next dress away. "Look...I really appreciate you wanting to help me, but I just don't like any of this stuff. Isn't there something that doesn't make me look so...angelic?"
"Give it up, Mama," Clara says, doing her best not to laugh at Carmilla's "How-Dare-You!" expression. Odette covers her mouth in amusement, also trying not to laugh. The overlord is simply doing her best...but Carmilla can be a little overbearing when it comes to shopping with her daughters. She has very strong opinions. Odette and Clara had tried to warn Vaggie beforehand, but the fallen angel is clearly discovering it now.
Carmilla sighs heavily. "All right. What colors do you want?"
Vaggie twiddles her fingers. It's a little embarrassing...but ever since meeting Charlie, the red aesthetic just does it for her. They both wear it so often at the hotel, that it's just become a part of her outfit rotation. She mentions to Carmilla, "Something red?"
Carmilla, "Hmmms" under her breath, looking around the store until something catches her eye. She then drags Clara and Odette along with her, as if to gauge their opinion on whatever she's found. A few minutes later, her mother and sisters return with a few different pieces. Carmilla likes one in particular more than the others...but again, Odette and Clara override her, saying there's way too many sequins and lace, and it's not flattering on Vaggie at all. They make their own suggestions, taking Vaggie's preferences into consideration.
Ultimately, Vaggie settles on a gorgeous red wedding dress, with black around the bust and inner lining, and a slit going up the side to expose a black lace garter underneath. Vaggie blushes to herself, just knowing instinctively Charlie will love it. Charlie loves red on her. She makes a mental note to help Charlie find a sexy red suit to match.
Odette and Clara go on the hunt for some matching accessories, and Vaggie honestly just wants to hug the two of them. Carmilla means well...and she did manage to find a pair of banger shoes to go along with the dress...but her sisters had really stepped up for her, in more ways than one. All in all, the family works together to make this process as enjoyable as possible, and come away with something that Vaggie, and Charlie, will appreciate for the rest of their lives.
Vaggie decides that even though she isn't much of a shopper, it's nice to be able to spend time together as a family like this. Even with all the little quirks and annoyances that go along with it. She will take the good and the bad. Because it's all part and parcel of finally having what she's always wanted most -- people who love her.

Sanctity
Your ex-husband is at a wedding with you, and it feels like you don't exist. Part of the Love series, read the rest here.
Pairing: Namjoon x afab! reader
Rating: 18+
Genre: Exes, angst
Warnings: Swearing
When you were invited to this wedding, your university friend Soojin had told you that Namjoon was going to be best man.
Soojin’s groom, Alex, has been friends with Namjoon since childhood, so you weren’t surprised at all.
You’d texted Namjoon about the wedding but he hadn’t bothered to reply.
You’d assumed that he was busy, you’ve been slammed at work too, it’s always hectic in the runup to Christmas.
The wedding ceremony is in a 15th century chapel, tucked in the side streets of the very edges of the city, and the wedding celebration in a boutique hotel nearby.
You’re chatting to one of your old university friends at the drinks reception after the ceremony when Namjoon arrives.
He looks irresistible in his navy suit. Perfect. Unattainable.
He’s not alone.
He’s got a stunning woman on his arm, and they’re both laughing like she’s just said the funniest thing in the world.
Your ex-husband’s dimples flash, and he bends down solicitously, steadying her as her heel gets caught in her beautiful gown.
Their show of unity hits you like a kick in the chest.
Namjoon looks up, catches the stricken look on your face that you aren’t emotionally nimble enough to hide.
Your eyes lock.
A breath is all it takes before he turns away like he never saw you.
***
There’s a startling clarity to your feelings as you try your hardest to avoid your ex and his date at this small, intimate wedding.
You’re hurt.
Hurt that he didn’t bother to tell you he was bringing a date to this wedding.
Hurt that as much as you’re trying to avoid him, he seems to be just as keen to avoid you.
You know he’s been dating since the divorce, well, you both have.
You owe each other nothing.
You smile distractedly at the ex-classmate you’re struggling to find common ground with.
What’s his name?
Louis? Lewis?
You’re too scattered to remember.
He’s telling you about his recent divorce, which is making you think about your own divorce.
Two years ago.
Have you and Namjoon really been fucking around for two whole years after the divorce was finalised?
Shit.
You can’t blame him for wanting to move on.
Louis steadies you as someone bumps into you from behind, jostling you.
There’s kindness in his eyes.
You force yourself to focus.
‘Divorce is hard,’ you say, a lame attempt at keeping the conversational ball going.
Louis, the gentleman that he is, says, ‘People who’ve been through it tell me it gets easier over time.’
‘I don’t know that it does,’ you say, the first truth you’ve spoken tonight.
Louis looks at you curiously, but you’re in no mood to extrapolate.
You swallow the rest of your drink and excuse yourself to use the bathroom.
You don’t recognise yourself in the mirror, that’s the honest truth.
Sure, you’re wearing the clothes and jewellery you put on earlier today, and your hair is still how you styled it, but you look completely different.
You’re flustered and frazzled and anguished.
Worst of all, you’re a fool.
You add colour to your cheeks to hide how drained you look, top up your lipstick in a desperate attempt to fix your face, but you know it’s futile.
You emerge from the bathroom and realise everyone’s heading to their tables for the meal.
You check the table plan and head for your seat.
You force a smile for the vaguely familiar people at your table and are pulling your chair out when a hand lands next to yours on the back of the chair.
You follow the line of the arm, up to the shoulder, up the curl of hair just touching his collar, up to his face.
Min Yoongi.
‘Let me,’ he says, smiling at you politely.
He seats you, then sits in the chair next to yours.
‘I didn’t know you were coming to this wedding,’ you say.
The truth is, you’re grateful for his familiarity.
You don’t know Yoongi well, but he and Namjoon are close friends and he’d joined you for dinner a few times whilst you and Namjoon were still married.
‘I wasn’t sure I’d be able to make it back in time,’ Yoongi admits. ‘I wrapped up a project in Kowloon last night.’
You know Yoongi works for his family business.
‘Have you been busy lately?’ you ask.
Yoongi signals to the waiter, hands you a glass of white.
‘No busier than usual,’ he says. ‘I think Namjoon’s been busy though.’
‘Yeah?’ you say, carefully neutral.
‘Seen much of him lately?’ Yoongi asks, taking a sip of his wine.
‘Not a lot,’ you say, truthfully.
‘Me either,’ Yoongi says.
You take another sip of wine.
‘So how come you’re at the singles table?’ you ask, trying to change the subject.
Yoongi rakes a hand through his hair.
‘No one will put up with me,’ he says, straightfaced.
‘I’m really taking one for the team, sitting next to you,’ you say, deadpan.
‘You definitely deserve extra dessert,’ Yoongi shoots back.
The laughter that bubbles out of you at his remark goes a long way towards easing the tension you’ve been feeling all night.
Yoongi smiles. His hand lands on the table, rings gleaming as he fiddles with the wedding favours scattered on the white linen.
‘I’m hungry,’ he tells you. ‘I hope the food’s good.’
You’re not sure you’ve got any appetite but you murmur in agreement anyway.
At least you can’t see Namjoon and his date from where you’re sitting.
Yoongi’s got a knack for filling in the blanks in the conversation, but even better, he doesn’t mind silence.
His company carries you through the different courses so well you feel like you need to thank him.
You’re about to, when a delicate tinkling fills the air.
You turn around to see that it’s your ex-husband, standing, tall and handsome in his suit, especially now that his tie’s loosened a little.
He’s holding up a glass of champagne.
‘I hope you’ve enjoyed your meals everyone. As Alex’s best man, I’ll be guiding through the speeches this evening,’ he says, smooth, confident, charming.
He’s always been good at commanding a room.
You feel disconnected, numb as Namjoon introduces Alex’s father, Soojin’s father, Soojin’s maid of honour for their speeches, applauding mechanically.
You don’t take in a single word any of them have said.
Through it all, Namjoon provides a charming, easy commentary, until it’s time for his own speech.
‘I’ve known Alex since we were kids,’ Namjoon says, ‘and believe me, there are stories that I could tell, but I did promise that I wasn’t going to embarrass him in front of his nonna.’
There’s a ripple of laughter.
You’re transfixed.
You’re trying to remember when you last heard Namjoon speak like this.
All of your interactions for years have been snappy, impactful, sexy, but he hasn’t sounded like this in years.
He sounds relaxed, confident.
Happy.
You sit rigidly as Namjoon shares an anecdote, to the hilarity of the room.
It’s the final part of his speech that breaks you.
‘I can truly say that I’ve never seen a couple more perfectly matched than Soojin and Alex. I can only hope that all of us have the privilege of experiencing a love like theirs at one point in our lives.’
You can’t help yourself.
You’re staring at him, wondering if he can feel your gaze on him.
Namjoon raises his glass in a toast.
There’s a sigh from the room, followed by a wave of applause.
It’s the perfect ending to the speeches.
Namjoon never once glances your way.
****
You don’t stay for dancing, just exit as quietly and discreetly as you can.
You slip on the beautiful coat you bought just for this wedding, do up the buttons mechanically.
Head out the entrance, sighing with relief when the front of the hotel is empty, save for you.
Well, not quite.
There’s a shifting to your left, you turn just in time to see Yoongi straighten up, ice cubes clinking in his glass as he steps forward, out of the shadows.
‘I didn’t mean to startle you,’ he says mildly.
‘You didn’t,’ you reply. ‘I’ve got an early start tomorrow, I should get going.’
Yoongi nods. ‘Can I give you a ride?’
‘I’ve got a taxi on its way,’ you demur. ‘Besides, I don’t want you to have to leave because of me.’
Yoongi nods again.
Then he gives you a half-smile. ‘Want the rest of my drink?’
You glance at him, surprised.
He holds out the drink to you.
The whiskey goes down smooth, a mellow fire that warms you.
‘Thanks,’ you say. You put your hand on his arm as he takes the glass back. ‘Thanks for tonight.’
Your words brim with meaning, you don’t want to explain but you get the sense he knows, anyway.
He’s been friends with Namjoon for years.
There’s kindness in his eyes as he covers your hand with his, gives yours a gentle squeeze.
The sliding doors to the hotel slide open, but your taxi’s arrived, so you don’t look back.
You get into the cab and breathe the first breath you feel like you’ve taken in hours.
You turn your head to wave goodbye to Yoongi, only to see Namjoon standing next to him.
Your eyes meet for the briefest of moments before the taxi drives you away.

THE COMPLICATIONS OF A FAKE ENGAGEMENT ☁︎ ANTHONY LOCKWOOD
⚜ PART TWO
GENRE ➺ fluff + hoax engagement
SYNOPSIS ➺ you shouldn't be that beautiful in a bridal gown for a wedding that's fictitious to begin with
WARNING ➺ fem reader
DISCLAIMER ➺ I haven't read the books so the characterization/alignment in the books may not line up and it's been a while since i've written anything. I hope you enjoy it anyway!
NOTES ➺ inspired by the try-on wedding gown scene in “extraordinary attorney woo”
When a 17-year-old signs up to be a ghost hunter, the last thing she expects is to wind up in a bridal boutique. Especially not with her employer improvising the role of her fiancé.
Lost between fabrics of silk and satin is the story of how you ended up here. You're on the brink of insanity when Lockwood finally does his job as your make-believe fiancé. Chipping in with a compliment, blowing kisses, and raining applause. On a normal day, you could act as if all this was fine and that the flurry of frivolous women weren't tiring. But the dresses were heavy and the lights were blinding. You had his ring, and the look on his face was convincing—but twelve dresses in, and you were ready to crumple into a heap.
"Why the rush to marry?" Kelly—you think her name was—asks. She was the ringleader for the entire dress-fitting business.
She tightened the corset around you and clipped the fabric around your bust tighter. You couldn't even speak! Luckily enough, Lockwood took note of your lack of oxygen and answered for you. "We're trained agents."
Kelly pulled the cinches tighter. You wheezed your last wisp of air, gripping the fabric for release. "As in the paranormal kind?"
Lockwood's eyes shone with pride. "Exactly that! You never know what could happen on a case. Might as well marry while we're breathing, no? Oh- please let my girl breathe, she's turning blue."
The corset loosened and you sagged in visible relief. Nodding in acknowledgement, you said, "Many thanks."
"No worries, darling. Wouldn't want you dying before the flower picking." He smiled at you, and you withheld the urge to glare at him. "Have you found what you're looking for, love?"
You look at the rack and consider just lying... but there was a reason you were here. Judging by his still jumping knee, he hasn't found evidence at all.
Signing yourself to your fate, you sighed. "No..."
Kelly jumps with glee. Dragging you behind the curtains before Lockwood could get another word in. The last thing you see of him is a grateful grin. He disregards the simper you throw his way.
When he's sure you're distracting Kelly, he slips back to the file rooms. Shuffling through documents whilst keeping his ears open. It's not that hard to guess whether Kelly got you into another gown or not. The woman is exorbitant and loud.
He's got his hands on an incriminating sheet of evidence as he hears it. Kelly's compliments and your terrible attempts at buying him more time. Lockwood stuffs the sheet into his coat pocket and breaks for the lounge. In time for the velvet curtains to draw.
His eyes are adjusting to the brightened lights again. Yet, all is right when you're unveiled. Sheets of ivory silk rolling down in waves curl around your figure like it's made for you. It's less extravagant than the previous choices but it highlights you the best.
Whatever fake reaction dies in his throat and his jaw hangs open. Eyes leading up to your giggling face as Kelly pushes a row of spray roses into your hands to "complete the look." He knows all this is pretend. He can't help but wonder how different it would be if ghosts and ghouls didn't invade the world. If the pair of you were a normal boy and a normal girl. If you two weren't 17 and only here for another case. If you were actually dressed in that ivory gown, coming down an aisle as red as the curtains. In an alternate world, would it be reality?
He's considering the probability of it when you drop the roses to your midsection. Allowing his mother's old ring to gleam in the light before he pulls his eyes right back to you. He reads, "Have you found what you're looking for?" from your lips, and like a puppet on a string, he nods yes, and he's sure he mutters the word, too. But he's not thinking about the evidence in his pocket. He's thinking about you in ivory, and how much better it would be if you were his real bride instead of his fake one.

Dances and Daydreams
A/N: this is turning into a bsd blog😭 this oneshot is a part of this kidnapper nikolai au ive got going on (Quiz time! being the first oneshot) but its not like you have to read them in order or anything
Pairing: Kidnapper!NIkolai Gogol x fem!reader
Content: Nikolai asks you to dance, and daydreams fill your mind
Warnings: kidnapping, mentions of torture
Words: 522
Oneshot under cut!
Another day, another torture session.
Not real torture, anyway. Not the kind you hear about on the news, the kind that makes you say "what's happened to the world?" and then move on with your day. No, Nikolais idea of torture was something else entirely, something I wasn't sure how to put into words
"May I have this dance?" He held out a gloved hand to me, the other tucked neatly behind his back. A cheeky grin was plastered on his face, his sharpened teeth geaming in the dim light of the basement. It was a look I saw regularly, one he gave often since we started this game of house.
Rules were simple: Play the role of the perfect girlfriend, as perfect you can be whilst stuck in this basement, and he won't kill you. It was a promise, sealed with a pinky swear and a sloppy kiss to my forehead.
"Of course, Kolya" I tired my best to smile, although it probably came out looking like a grimace. The nickname Nikolai made me call him felt sticky in the mouth, like when you eat too much cotton candy and it gets stuck to the roof of your mouth.
Cotton candy... that would be nice right now.
I placed my hand in his, allowing him to pull me off the bed and into his arms. The hand not holding mine traveled down my back, resting on my waist and gripping my gown tight. My own hand moved up to his shoulder, squeezing slightly. It wasn't uncomfortable, but it certainly wasn't comfortable, either.
We began moving, swaying side to side as Nikolai hummed a tune I didn't recognize. The rhythm was a slow one, something you'd hear at a high school prom, or a wedding. I tired to imagine us somewhere else, anywhere but this shitty basement. On the dancefloor at our wedding, him looking his best in a fancy tux, I imagined it being white, and me in a pretty dress, like the one I had been eying up at the boutique near my work. It would be a beautiful day, a little girls daydream.
My nightmare.
The fantasy shattered in my mind. The image of Nikolai in a ironed suit, hair neat and tied back, eyes not covered by layers upon layers of facepaint quickly turned into him now. His hair was a fizzy mess in his braid, his jester get-up torn and covered in who-knows what, his cakey makeup that still failed to hide the deep bags under his eyes. The wedding venue morphed into the basement, the bright lights transformed into the flickering of the single candle in the corner, my big, poofy dress was back to the lifeless gown I wore.
This wasn't a wedding, it wasn't a fairytale.
It might as well have been my funeral.
"Dove? Everything okay?" Nikolai suddenly stopped in his tracks, using a hand to tilt my chin up.
I had started crying, god I was stupid. Crying over a wedding that didn't happen, a man I would never love. Crying over a psychopath.
"Yeah, I'm alright. Let's keep dancing"

Alpha! Toxic!Sorority!Vanessa X Omega!Reader. I'll keep you here PT 2
A/N: Stacie and YN have a PLATONIC relationship! So every time they say ‘ I love you ‘ ( it’s like twice ) they aren’t having a affair or something
" shhh, I know Elizabeth...cmon, let's fall asleep "
You held your daughter close to your chest, as she wailed into the night. You were desperately trying to get her asleep, you knew she was a bother to the other Soroity girls in the house. It had only been a month since she was born, and god could she cry.
" I-I know Elizabeth, it's a lot, it's a lot for mama too....i just need you to sleep, please... maam needs to go with her friends to get her pretty dress...and I'll be getting yours too. You'll be so pretty, just please go to sleep. "
You felt your eyes swell with tears, her wails continuing. God this was too much, you let this happen, you could have done so many things to stop this, but now you were stuck with Vanessa. You had school assignments piling up, and you were getting married in August, only months away.
" y/n...give me her.."
You glanced up, seeing Vanessa figure in the doorway, the little light in Elizabeth's room lit Vanessa green eyes up. She gently walked towards you, taking Elizabeth in her arms, who settled down almost instantly.
"d-does she not like me.?"
" no y/n. She's just had you all day, she wants her mother for a bit. Go lay down, please. I need my girl rested for her huge day tomorrow
Vanessa kissed your forehead gently, and you left the room, laying down in Vanessa bed and falling asleep instantly. Vanessa scent of vanilla and citrus flooded your nostrils, and comforted you as you drifted to sleep.
*~*
" why are you having me take a picture of you y/n, no one can see! "
« Vanessa wants to see the options I like. Then she'll tell me what one matches the theme best. "
It was just you and Stacie, your best friend, in the boutique. You had plenty of elegant gowns lined up on racks for you to try on. Your current one was a ball gown, with lace ruffles and beautiful sequins down the dress.
" what do you mean she's going go see it?? The whole point is she doesn't! "
" I know Stacie...but she just wants it perfect, and these are the only ones with matching baby dresses. Vanessa only wants me, her, and Elizabeth wearing white. It's gotta be perfect. "
Stacie sighed, helping you fluff your dress before standing back to take the photo, and sent it off to Vanessa as you went into the back to change.
" she says no. She wants some sorta sleeve."
" alright! One minute! "
You went for the next dress, with lace lining the edges of the dress, that lead up the chest part in beautiful flowered swirls. It had puffy lace sleeves that only had the cuffs touching your skin. You stepped out of your changing room and onto the small stage in front of Stacie.
" oh, this has to be it. Its gorgeous!! "
" we'll take a picture! Oh I hope she says yes.."
Stacie quickly took a few nice photos of you in the dress, and sent the to Vanessa. Your heart raced with anticipation, you loved this dress, she had to love it, please let her love it.
" she says yes!! She loves it! She says you're absolutely stunning in it and she can't...you can read the rest "
You squealed in joy as you snatched the phone, blushing almost immediately as you read the rest of Vanessa's message.
" Oh it's gorgeous. Yes, 100% yes. God I can't wait to rip it off you after the wedding~ "
You laughed, sending her back a heart as you hugged Stacie tightly, squeezing her into you.
Stacie chuckled, pressing her forehead against yours.
" you seem so happy about all this...are you really? "
You smiled softly, glancing off into mirrors around the boutique.
" I am. S-she's great..really.... an amazing mother to Elizabeth..."
" really? Even though she wasn't there...? "
You looked up at Stacie, nodding silently, still holding your smile.
" she is. She's stayed up late and changed and bottle fed her...she watches her when I have exams...she's such a good mother to her...unlike me…”
" don't say that y/n. You're a wonderful mom..."
You sat down on the small stage, you were exhausted, you could hardly sleep after last night, kept up by the thought you were an awful mother. You couldn't get your a daughter to sleep without help.
" i-i just feel like Elizabeth hates me...she just cries and cries when I hold her, and the other sorority girls complain that she keeps them up, a-and-"
" well if A bunch of girls are annoyed by a baby that's there problem. Vanessa said they could move out for a bit, but they insisted on staying. And Elizabeth is just a baby, she's going to cry. It doesn't make you a bad mom that you need some help with her. It's normal..."
" I just...I feel bad she has to grow up around these people..."
Stacie sat besides you, pulling you into a tight hug, wiping away your tears and pressing her forehead against yours.
" it won't be forever. Vanessa graduated, your almost about to graduate as valedictorian. Do you know how incredible that is. You haven't let this pregnancy stop you. Your passing with flying colors, you get to go on that stage and say ' hey losers, guess who's valedictorian and a mother. ‘ “
You chuckled, hugging her tightly. Stacie was always there for you in your ups and downs.
And she would always be there, she was your child's Godmother, and she swore she'd do anything for her. She'd do anything for you.
" yeah. Yeah. Thank you Stacie....cmon. Let's pay for this dress and go get something to eat. “
You stood up, smiling once more, going back into the changing room to change back. You were valedictorian, and you were about to marry a successful lawyer, with your beautiful daughter. You were loved.
*~*
“ Vanessa Dean Shelly. Are you kidding me??? A huge ass party the day before my finals?? A huge party with our baby in the house?? “
“ relax baby, it’s the last party I’m throwing as president before Bailey takes over. The upstairs is off limits, and- “
“ It dosent matter!! You promised me months ago that you would watch Ellie while I studied!! This is ridicules. “
You turned around and stormed upstairs, grabbing your empty backpack and heading into Elizabeth’s room, packing up her necessities, diapers, bottles, clothes, wipes. Elizabeth was still sleeping when you were done packing, as you quickly dialed Stacie’s number.
“ Hello?? “
“ sorry Stacie, can me and Ellie crash at the dorm? Vanessa’s throwing the big song the year party, and I don’t wan Ellie to be in the house for it. “
“ Seriously?? Your kidding. Alright, I’m coming. Love ya. “
“ love ya to “
You hung up, finishing packing your stuff as you gently picked up Elizabeth, kissing her forehead gently. You placed her in the carrier, slinging the backpack on as you made your way back downstairs, people already beginning to pile in.
“ Yn?? Hell are you doing with Ellie. “
“ we are spending the night at Stacie’s. And we won’t be back till you’re sober. She’ll be here any moment. “
You made your way outside, waiting on the sidewalk. Vanesssa chased after you grabbing your shoulder.
“ C-cmon yn!! Have a drink, relax! You haven’t been in a party for months! “
“ cause I’m taking care of our daughter! Do you remember last time, you were drunk, banging on the door to see her. Your not ok when your drunk. “
Just then, Stacie’s car pulled up. You opened the back door, sliding Ellie in and sitting besides her. Vanessa tried to hold the door open, you could tell she was angry, desperate for you not to go.
“ I’ll cancel the party if it’ll make you happy, ok?? No one’s gonna hurt our baby!! “
“…it’s not the others I’m worried about…”
You finally closed the door, Stacie quickly drove off and you watched Vanessa storm up the steps, kicking a flowerpot off the steps before going inside. You looked down at Ellie, holding her small hand with your finger.
“ I’m sorry Stacie…”
“ don’t be. Your bed is still nice and made, it’ll be like you never left. “
“ yeah…I don’t wanna be a bother again but. Could you maybewatch Elizabeth while I’m at my final tomorrow…? “
“ yeah! Of course! You have all the stuff, so no problem. “
You looked back down at Ellie, watching her yawn, as she slowly blinked her eyes open to look at you.
“ thank you…”
*~*
You had stayed with Stacie for two days before Vanessa finally called back. Ellie had just ran out of diapers, and you had neglected to pack your own clothes, so you stank in your outfit. Stacie had given you one of her hoodies to borrow, to try and help. You stepped out of her car, Elizabeth in the carrier and the practically empty backpack slung over your shoulder.
Vanessa stood on the front step, watching you as you made your way up to her.
“ give me my daughter. She needs her mother. “
“ My English final went great, thank you for asking. “
You gently handed over the carrier, shoving past and into your bedroom to change. You could hear Vanessa following after you, her presence heavy over you.
“ and burn that hoodie why don’t you. You don’t need to be wearing her clothes. “
“ wow i missed you to Vanessa. Why are we even getting married if your like this. “
“ don’t talk to me like that. Look. “
She turned you around with her open hand, pulling her collar down enough to show off to show off the set of bite marks around the base of her neck.
“ look. You have me this mark, the night after I proposed to you. You did this to show me you loved me. Why are you treating me like this. “
You froze, glancing up at her, then down to Ellie, before at the ground.
“ I’m…I-I’m sorry Vanessa…I was just….stressed about my final. I should sleep on the couch tonight, just so I can cool down…I-i love you. “
You clung onto Vanessa, leaning your head against her. You were a bit…rude lately…you just needed some time to unwind.
“ aww…I love you too sweetheart. I’ll Watch Elizabeth tonight, mkay~? “
“ alright…t-thank you…”
*~*
Finally. Today was the day. You sat in your dressing room as your stylists did your hair and makeup. The pretty wedding dress fit you perfectly, and Ellie was already in hers, waiting for the ceremony to start.
Stacie was nearby as her stylist fixed her up. She was your maid of honor, and one of the few bridesmaids you had.
“ you ready yn? I just got the text there ready when we are. “
“ mhm…a-as ready as I can be…”
You could see Stacie from the corner of your eye. The stylist finished up and left. You gently picked up Elizabeth, holding her at your side as you looked into the mirror. You’ve never looks so pretty, you where gorgeous in the dress.
“ cmon…lemme see Ellie. Your bouquets right there. Remember the plan? “
“ M-mhm…first is Vanessa, then her girls, then my mom will bring down Ellie, then you girls…then I walk down with dad…”
Stacie held your hand, giving you a gentle smile. You returned the smile, squeezing her hand.
“ I love…”
“ no. Don’t say that right now yn. Today’s the day you put all your love onto one girl. Ok? “
You nodded, wiping away your tear before it messed up your makeup. Stacie smiled once more, leaving the room before you and leaving you alone. This was it, the moment you waited for. You were excited, it just felt so. Off.
You were getting married in the most beautiful chapel you’d ever seen. Everyone was coming, even though your family was much larger than Vanessa’s. All your friends and almost every sorority girl was there.
You made your way out into the hall, holding your bouquet of hydrangeas and lilys. The walk down to the entrance felt like it took forever. When you finally walked through, the photographers immediately began to take photos, you pulled your smile onto your face, staying back as everyone else lined up. You could see your mother settling Ellie into the small wagon to bring her down the aisle.
Then the music began. Your smile only grew brighter, you were getting married to the women your loved. You had a beautiful baby girl with her, and an amazing life. You could see Vanessa coming in the other way, blocked by her bridesmaid to not see you. Then she was followed by her girls, then your mother carried Ellie down, then you watched Stacie and the few others, then it was you.
Your father took your arm, giving you a gentle smile. The music began to change, as you made your way down. The eyes of every person in there were on you. It would have scared you if you weren’t so fixed in Vanessa.
She was wearing a gorgeous long Lacey dress, covered in laced flowers and small jewels. Her shoulders and neck were bare and open, with a beautiful rose gold chain around her neck, with a beautiful diamond on it. You could see the mark you left on her, small but deep. She was holding Ellie in one arm, smiling at you as your father let you go, as you stood across from her. Elizabeth turned and reached for you, and you took her with your open hand, as the preacher began to speak.
“ Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today for the holy union of these two lovely souls. Today they are to be united permanently, love bound for eternity. Vanessa, if you’d like to start with your speech. “
Vanessa nodded, clearing her throat before talking. Her green eyes beautifully starring into yours.
“ Y/N L/N, or, shall I say soon to be Y/N Shelly. Sense the moment I saw you in our college class, I knew I had to have you. I knew you would be the one to spend the rest of my life with. I know, we have had our ups and down in our relationship, but, what couple hasent. I’m the luckiest women in the world to be married to a college valedictorian, a wonderful mother of our wonderful daughter. I wouldn’t want anyone else to be my mate, my wife Y/n. I love you. “
You watched Vanessa get teary eyed, before wipping them quickly. Elizabeth made a small coo, and turned to Vanessa. Everyone let out a small chuckle as Vanessa took Elizabeth back.
“ Y/N, now you may give your speech. “
You cleared your throat, holding Vanessa open hand.
“ V-Vanessa….i know we have had our rough moments. But I’ve seen you grow, and I have grown besides you. I knew that when I first saw you, there was something. Something special about you, and now here we are, with our perfect daughter at this perfect ceremony. I love you. I love you more than I can ever possibly show you. I’m the luckiest to have you as my mate Vanessa. “
The pastor cleared his throat, signaling for a girl to bring up two small cases. He took them both, and opened the first one. Inside sat a gorgeous silver wedding band with the date etched on it. He handed it to you, and you took Vanessa had.
“ Repeat after me,’ I, Yn, promise to stay by your side, through sickness and death, through sadness and joy, as your lawfully wedded wife “
“ I, Yn, promise to stay by your side, through sickness and death, through sadness and joy, as your lawfully wedded wife “
You gently slide the ring onto her finger, you could see her smile growing. The pastor took out the next ring, a thinner silver band with the date etched on it.
“ Repeat after me. ‘ I, Vanessa, promise to stay by your side, through sickness and death, through sadness and joy, as your lawfully wedded wife ‘ “
“ I, Vanessa, promise to stay by your side, through sickness and death, through sadness and joy, as your lawfully wedded wife “
Vanessa gently slid the ring onto your finger. You felt your eyes swell with tears, you could latch onto right now if you wanted.
“ And now, with the power vested in me, by the state of Minnesota, I now pronounce you Wife and Wife, you may now kiss the brides. “
Vanessa turned and handed off Ellie to one of her bridesmaids, and immediately scooped you up, kissing you deeply. The roar of applause and cheers filled the room. She carried you in her arms as you both walked down the aisle. You pulled her face you yours, kissing her deeply.
“ Well, Mrs Shelly, how does it feel to be married to the best women on earth. “
“ I don’t know Nessa, how does it feel~ “
Vanessa laughed, kissing you once again and putting you down. The bridesmaids followed after you, returning Elizabeth to your hands. You both bent down and kissed her small cheeks. You haven’t felt this happy in months, this was the best feeling you’ve had. And now you were married to the best Women ever.
*~*
You sat besides Vanessa at the brides table, she was loudly talking to her friends, laughing about stories from college. Elizabeth sat besides you, gently feeding her the baby food you had brought, not to focused about the atmosphere.
The After-Party was in a beautiful hotel convention room. It was adorn with gorgeous crystal chandeliers, with gorgeous and colorful rose bouquets across every table.
“ Well, Mrs. Shelly, why aren’t you enjoying yourself? “
You glanced up, seeing William standing infront of you, he was dressed ins a deep violet suit, his greying hairs combed back.
“ oh, I’m just feeding Ellie, the party just started, I’ll have time later “
“ you and Vanessa haven’t even had your first dance. Everyone’s waiting. I’ll finish feeding little Elizabeth, and you two have your dance. This is just as much your night as it is hers. “
You smiled, giving and gentle nod as you handed him the rest of the small jar of baby food, letting him pick up Ellie and go back to his seat.
“ nessy….i think it’s time…”
“ Hm? Oh yes! Bailey go tell the band we’re ready. “
Vanessa stood up, taking your hand and leading you to the middle of the dance floor. Everyone went silent, as the slow rhythm of the music filled the room. You held onto both of her hands, as you both gently began to waltz, your eyes locked onto eachothers.
“ Oh..yn you look gorgeous..”
“ your just as stunning Vanessa….i love you..”
Vanessa spun you, before pulling you into her, and kissing you gently. Her Ivy Green eyes glowed in the slight.
“…I love you too..Mi Amor~ “
You chuckled pulling back a Little to sway better.
“ Spanish Vanessa? Rather romantic…it’s still early dear~ “
“ I’ll be very romantic with you later then dear~ “
You felt like you were floating, like no one else was here with you, just you and Vanessa, dancing under the beautiful stars. She was the best thing to happen to you in years, like she has changed everything in one night.
The music stopped, and the clapping started. Vanessa walked you back to the brides table, looking around and beginning to panic slightly.
“ Where’s Ellie!! Where did she go-! “
“ it’s ok!! No worries, William has her, see? “
Vanessa looked over, her eyes like daggers as she saw William feeding Elizabeth.
“ I see. Whatever, just get her back soon. “
“ please, just don’t hate your father for the night. He’s just being helpful, he wants us to have fun. “
“ alright…I still want Ellie back soon..”
You pulled vanessa closer, hugging her arm close to you. Vanessa rolled her eyes, kissing your forehead.
“ I love you YN…I hope your having a good time “
“ I’m having a wonder night Vanessa…thank you so much…I love you. “
Vanessa smiled softly, looking over at the table of her friends who were waving her over.
“ go, we’ll have all night together, go hang out with your friends. “
“ you sure? “
“ positive Vanessa. “
Vanessa smiled, getting up and walking over to her friends. You got up and went over to Stacie, who sat nearby.
“ you having fun? “
“ I am! It’s great. “
“ I’m so happy for you YN. I really am. “
You sat besides Stacie, and began talking about your highschool and college years. You were married to Vanessa, but you both still knew you could be separated at times like this. You glanced over at her, and saw her starring back at you. What a lucky girl you where
*~*
The whole night had been filled with dancing and talking, and amazing food. Vanessa really haven’t wasted a cent on it. You were sitting in front of the vanity in yours and Vanessa’s room, brushing your hair out and prepping yourself for bed. Elizabeth had just gone down, and she was fast asleep. Suddenly, Vanessa rushed through the door, chuckling softly.
“ YN! “
“ Vanessa shh! I just got Ellie down…what’s the matter? “
“ the hostess told me they just finished cleaning up. Cmon, head down with me. “
You tilted your head, standing up and walking over to her. You were wearing simple grey sweatpants and a black shirt.
“ Why? And what about Ellie? “
“ Elizabeth is a heavy sleeper, and it won’t be that long, just cmon! “
Vanessa took your hand, quickly pulling you into the hall and gently shutting the door. You chuckled as she rushed you to the elevator. She must be drunk, she’s never been this excited about something so small.
You both entered the elevator, Vanessa his the lobby button and held your hand tightly. You leaned your head against hers, and with her open hand she turned your head and kissed you gently. You didn’t taste a drop of alcohol on her tongue.
“ your sober Vanessa? “
“ of course I am. Ok I had one drink at the beginning of the after party, but nothing else. “
The elevator dung, and Vanessa quickly rushed you out, heading towards the center your wedding was held in. The hostess smiled and nodded, and Vanessa walked you into the middle of the floor. All the tables had been packed away, it was empty. Just the two of you.
Vanessa pulled her phone out and scrolled through, pulling up the two of yours favorite song. She smiled softly, holding your hips and beginning to sway gently, you followed suit after.
“ I wanted to give you one last dance. Just for you baby. “
“ Vanessa….i-I…”
“ I love you YN Shelly. “
“ I love you more Vanessa Shelly…”
You kissed her gently, and pressed your forehead against hers. The two of you stayed like this the whole song, swaying and humming softly, embracing each other’s love. At the end, Vanessa gave you a twirl, before pulling you into a gentle kiss. You giggled, hugging her tightly.
“ I love you…”
“ I love you more “
Afterwards, Vanessa lead you back through the lobby, up the elevator, and finally back to your room. Elizabeth was still asleep, like nothing had happened. You both snuggled onto the bed, hugging eachother tightly.
“ sleep well yn. I hope you have the best dreams…”
“ you too Vanessa….thank you…”
Vanessa kissed your head as your drifted away to slumber. The last things you heard her say was a simple.
“…thank you….”
*~*
“ Baby…get up…”
“ Vanessa…? “
“ fuck…I’m so hard baby…”
You groggily rubbed your eyes, sitting up and seeing Vanessa sat up in bed, panting slightly with a visible tent in her boxers.
“ I-I couldn’t sleep and I let myself daydream about…about how sexy you looked in that wedding dress…a-and I’m..I’m so hard yn…please…”
Vanessa whined softly, you blushed lightly as the sight. You gently pulled down her boxers, taking her girth in your hand, stroking it gently.
“ shh…I’ll take care of you nessa~ “
“ Please…I-i need my pretty omega…”
You smiled, tossing off your sweats and panties, stabbing her hips.
“ wet already? “
“ well when you get all hot and bothered like this I can’t help myself Vanessa…”
You grinded slightly against her length, before placing your arms over her shoulders and letting yourself slip onto it.
“ o-oh fuck vannessa~ “
“ Y-Yn~ “
Vanessa gripped your thighs, holding onto you as you bounced on her cock. Her ivy eye where the only thing glowing in the room, just you two in darkness, loving eachother with such force, such dedication.
“ S-so big nessy…p-please give me more…”
“ you want m-more princess~? “
“ P-pretty please…”
Vanessa smirked, flipping you backwards. She threw your legs over your shoulders, and thrusted hard into you. You let out a shrill moan, before quickly covering you mouth.
“ yeah, that’s it…keep quiet for me baby…I-I’ll fuck this pussy nice and good…”
Vanessa continued her pace, kissing up and down your neck, leaving small marks every now and then. Your moans were muffled but audible, fuck she was big. And you got to keep her all to yourself now, what a lucky little omega you were.
“ v-Vanessa…p-please…”
“ F-Fuck! Take it…take my pretty load and keep it in your pretty cunt all night long…like a good slut~ “
Vanessa’s thrusts grew faster, as she gripped your sides to hold you better. You cried out louder, as Vanessa’s muffled you with a kiss.
“ cum with me…show me how much you love me YN Shelly. “
“ F-fuck…I-I….i love you n-nessa- F-FUCKKKK “
You cried out as your came, feeling Vanessa thrust in again, her hot load following after.
“ that’s it….you like being filled with my pups don’t you slut~ “
You were too exhausted to answer, panting heavily as you expected her to continue.
“ I won’t push you…rest…but next time we aren’t stopping. I love you YN. “
Vanessa kissed your forehead, pulling out slowly and laying besides you, pulling you into her arms as you drifted asleep once again in her strong, loving arms.
*~*
“ Yn Get up. We have to get ready for brunch. Make sure Ellie’s changed and dressed. “
You yawned, sitting up in the comfy hotel bed, your legs still hurt from last night. Vanessa was up and in her new dress already. You were groggy, exhausted from the day prior.
“ where are you going nessa….”
“ I’m going to the restaurant early to make sure the buffet is set up perfectly. Dont worry, I’ll be back to get you two. Your dress is hanging in the bathroom, Elizabeth’s is there too. I’ll be back “
Vanessa made her way to the door, looking back at you before leaving. You sighed, sitting up and heading into the next room, Ellie was still asleep.
“ heavy sleeper huh? Even after last night. Pft…cmon baby girl, let’s get you all pretty “
You lifted her up and carried her into the next room, and as soon as you did she stared crying.
“ no no shh…shh its ok Elizabeth…mamas gonna get you all pretty for yummy breakfast. “
You bounced her in your arms, looking out the window. You could see the whole city from the top floor. Thats when it hit you. Vanessa was elsewhere, you were with your crying baby, it was just like months ago.
You sighed, turning to head into the bathroom. You loved Vanessa with all your heart, but she was a busy woman. She could clearly make time for you, like last night. But maybe she just needed to be busy.
But she had kept her promise. She kept you here. And you weren’t all to upset about it. She loved you, even if she couldn’t alway show it. And you definitely loved her.

Conscious Decision
Part 3
July 15th, 1988
*Y/N’s POV*
Katherine and I spent the day together exploring London. She suggested we do some shopping before having lunch. Of course the moment she pulled me into a bridal boutique I knew she had an ulterior motive.
“This would look stunning on you!” Katherine complimented as she pointed out the gown on display.
“Mama Kay, that’s a wedding dress.”
“You should try it on.” She cheered. “It’ll be fun!”
“It’s beautiful but I think I’m going to pass on that.” I laughed off her comment.
“Michael was looking for you last night. He did not buy the jet lagged excuse.”
“Well, I’ll see him tonight.” I said as I guided her towards the exit.
“He fired Tatiana.” She said nonchalantly.
“What?”
“She’s a sweet girl but her crush on Michael was getting out of hand. My poor boy was so embarrassed. He had no idea she would do that.”
“Is he okay?”
“I think seeing his best friend would have helped.”
“Oh you’re making me feel bad on purpose!”
“You’re always the first person he runs to when something goes wrong. Yesterday, however, was the first time you weren’t there. It did a real number on him.”
“I’m sure he’s fine.”
“My boy is experiencing the beginning stages of losing the woman he loves. He is in no way shape or form fine.”
“He doesn’t love me in that way and he’s not losing me. I just needed a break to be alone and avoid any further damage to our friendship. I didn’t mean for my actions to come off as selfish. I’m sorry.”
“Here we go again with all the friendship hoopla.” Katherine rolled her eyes shaking her head. “You are not just friends—”
“We almost kissed. On opening night.” I blurted out. “He ran away from me and hid from everyone.”
“Oh, I see.”
“That’s why I said I think we were wrong.”
“I’m never wrong.” She said sternly ignoring my confession. I couldn’t help but laugh at her stubbornness.
“Y/N! There you are!” Michael shouted standing from his make-up chair. “Finally!”
“Your mom and I had a girls day.” I smiled hugging him. He kindly asked for the room and his entourage dispersed.
“How is the jet lag?” He asked suspiciously.
“I’m fine. I just need some rest.”
“You didn’t even stay for our after show ritual.”
“Michael—”
“It’s tradition!” He spoke over me. “Why did you leave?”
“I didn’t feel well.” It was partly true. He continued to study my demeanor.
“Tatiana.” He stated. “I didn’t— she wasn’t supposed to do that. I’ve never been so humiliated in my life.”
“I’m really sorry that happened. You didn’t deserve it.”
“You know... every love song I write is about you.” He muttered.
“What?” I stared at him but he didn’t repeat himself. He closed the gap between us pulling me into his chest.
Each time the wind blows
I hear your voice so
I call your name
Whispers at morning
Our love is dawning
Heaven's glad you came
You know how I feel
This thing can't go wrong
I'm so proud to say I love you
Your love's got me high
I long to get by
This time is forever
Love is the answer
Michael softly sung into my ear as he swayed us back and forth. He held me for a moment longer before leaving a lingering kiss on my temple.
“Michael?” I spoke gently.
“I have to finish getting ready. Can you help with my hair? You’re the only one that does it the way I like.” He smiled pulling me across the room to his vanity.
I watched him as he excitedly gathered all the tools and products I would need. Every time I think we’re on the same page he throws a curveball. It makes it even worse that he just changes the subject as if nothing happened. As I began styling Michael’s hair my mind drifted off to how he makes me feel. When he holds me like that it’s impossible to hide my emotions. Michael is my home. When he holds me I feel complete. He’s the only person I truly feel safe with.
“I love hearing you sing.” I said as I fixed his hair.
“Thank you.”
“I love that song. It’s really beautiful.”
“It’s one of my favorites. It’s like it was in my head my whole life and all I needed to do was write it down.” he met my gaze through the mirror. “It’s inspiring being in love.”
“In love?” I broke our eye contact and tried to focus on his hair. “That’s sweet.”
“Are you in love?”
“Michael—”
“Because I think you are.” He turned to me placing his hands on my hips. “Please tell me that you are.” He stared at me expectantly as he rises from his seat.
Here we are again.
Our chests became connected as I felt his fingers slip under the hem of my shirt leaving a strong tingling feeling along my hips. We were admiring each other’s lips and yearning for what came next.
“I am.” I finally spoke.
“Y/N, I—” there was a loud obnoxious knock on the door as it swung open.
“Oh—oh— I—I’m so sorry” Greg stood there with an apologetic look on his face. “I didn’t mean to interrupt.”
“It’s okay.” Michael said. “What is it?”
“Princess Diana is on her way. They want us all in place for her arrival.”
Michael looked at me and I gave him a nod. He looked nervous as his lips met my cheek and he hugged me tightly.
“We will talk later.” He stated hopefully as he moved towards the door.
“I’m so sorry.” Greg mouthed before closing the door leaving me alone.
“This next song is very special to me. It comes from my heart.” Michael spoke as the lights began to dim. “I’m going to perform it a little differently tonight. I hope you don’t mind.” His beautiful voice filled the stadium.
I just want to lay next to you for a while
You look so beautiful tonight
Your eyes are so lovely
Your mouth is so sweet
A lot of people misunderstand me
That's because they don't know me at all
I just want to touch you
And hold you
I need you, God I need you
I love you so much
Michael’s intimate intro to ‘I Just Can’t Stop Loving You’ caused chills to travel down my spine. The longer I kept my eyes on him the more I thought about our moment in his dressing room earlier. There was so much emotion behind it. I just wanted to know what he was thinking. I took a moment to look out into the full stadium. The audience was lit up with thousands of lighters hovering over the sea of fans.
Wow.
We all gathered backstage after the show to celebrate. I didn’t realize how many people would be here or how loud it was going to get. Nonetheless, I was really enjoying myself, I was sitting with the band when everyone suddenly went silent. I followed their stare and saw the man of the hour.
“Dance with me.” Michael held his hand out and I gladly accepted.
“You’re my favorite dance partner.”
My comment went unnoticed as Michael stared off. His grip on me tightened as we danced in silence. He placed my arms further around his neck pulling me closer to him. Two songs went by without a word from him.
“Michael?” I poked his cheek getting his attention. “What’s going on up there?”
“Nothing.” He spat. He never snapped at me. It made me feel awful. His coldness triggered me deeply making me feel insignificant.
“What’s your problem?”
“I asked you to dance with me why do you feel the need to pester me.” I stepped away immediately looking at him as if he was a stranger. “Y/N—” he said softly reaching for my hand.
“You’re being so ugly to me.” I shook my head walking away leaving him standing alone. I shoved the dressing room door open swiftly gathering my belongings.
“Jet lagged again.” I heard Michael’s mocking voice behind me.
“No actually at the moment I’m extremely fed up with you.”
“Me?”
“Yes you!” I pointed at him as my vision became blurry. “Why would you ask me to dance just to speak to me like that? You’ve never treated me like that before.”
“No! I wanted to dance with you because- I just- some of the guys from the crew were talking about you. I couldn’t- I tried to keep my cool but they were saying— I didn’t like it—”
“Wait.” I wiped my eyes. “You asked me to dance so no one else could?”
“I—” he was frozen in place and I felt myself begin to tremble from how angry I was.
“You know what Michael. How about you figure out what you want because I can’t handle this anymore. One minute you’re serenading me asking me if I’m in love and the next you’re acting like this. You keep saying all these things and I have no idea how I’m supposed to take them because you never explain. It feels like you’re toying with me and it isn’t fair. Do you know how terrifying it is to be in love? The thought of losing that person destroys you because he’s one of the most important people in your life. Every time he gives you a shred of hope that he may feel the same he disregards it just as quickly- and it doesn’t even matter because to me- to me he is everything. He’s my everything. This back and forth is- it’s mentally exhausting Michael, but I’m still here.” I frantically caught my breath, Michael’s wide eyes brought me to the realization that I said way too much. He remained silent. I wanted to evaporate. Silence. I just shook my head brushing past him.
Nothing was going to be the same ever again.
July 16th, 1988
A bright golden beam of sunlight streamed through the curtains seeping through my eyelids. I sighed pulling a pillow over my face. It’s too early for this. The events of the last two days begin running through my mind as I closed my eyes. I’m a complete mess. If I could stay in bed all day I would. Michael was giving me so many mixed signals but, after last night, I’m afraid he may never speak to me again. I sat up throwing the pillow across the room with force.
“You weren’t aiming for me right?” My head snapped to the side to see Michael standing in front of the window looking out at the London sky.
“Michael!” I yelled pulling the comforter up to cover my pajamas.
“I brought us breakfast.”
“How did you get in here?”
“French toast! Your favorite..” he sang placing the take out trays on the table.
“How long were you watching me sleep?”
“I got extra syrup and fresh strawberries.” He danced taking a big bite of a strawberry.
“You scared me! Why are you here this early?”
“I knew the only way you’d listen to me is if I showed up unannounced and brought food.” A smile spread across his face. “Come on sit.”
“Give me a minute.” I sprinted to the bathroom and softly shut the door behind me. I brush my teeth and wash my face but my nerves are still through the roof. Michael’s here in my room acting suspiciously normal. I focused on my breathing as I walked out back into the room.
“My mom.” He stated as I took the seat across from him.
“What?”
“She had a spare key. I was just answering your earlier question.”
“Oh, then yes.” I smiled taking a bite.
“Yes?”
“I was aiming for you.” I answered sticking my tongue out.
“Ha. Ha. Ha. I have a comedian for a best friend folks!” He announced to an imaginary crowd.
“What would you like to talk to me about?” I asked laughing.
“I need you to promise me something first.”
“What is that?”
“I need you to let me say everything I need to say to you without interrupting me.”
“Is everything okay?” His tone beginning to make me nervous.
“I’ll explain everything.”
“I promise. No interrupting.” I held my hand up letting him know I took the oath seriously.
“Well, I want to thank you for visiting me. It’s the sweetest thing anyone has done for me in a long time. This tour has been incredible, but I have missed you very much. It’s just- everything is better when you’re around.” He slid his hand onto the table slowing inching it towards me. He gave me a small smile and I knew exactly what he wanted, so I placed my hand in his. “I know I’ve been all over the place and I’m sorry. It’s just- it’s such a tough situation. I would never intentionally toy with your feelings. I know that’s why you were avoiding me. I understand why and it’s okay. It was just for a few hours but knowing you didn’t want to see me was the worst feeling in the world.”
“I’ve kept something from you for a few years now because I truly believed it was for the best. It was easier when we were kids. We didn’t have to worry or stress. Once I got to the age where I understood my feelings it became more difficult, but not impossible. I told myself it was better to have you as my best friend than not have you at all. I wanted you in my life. I need you and I hate the idea of my feelings ruining our friendship. Then, my career took this incredible albeit insane turn. All the hard work, struggle and pain of my childhood was finally paying off, but it came at a cost. I’m constantly ridiculed, bullied and betrayed. They all misunderstand me because they don’t know me. I’m just a punchline to them.” He places his hand over his eyes leaning his elbow on the table in attempt to conceal his watery eyes. “I knew I had to protect you from this world. The media attacking you. The paparazzi stalking you. I couldn’t bear leaving you vulnerable to it all. There has always been an excuse. And they all seemed like great excuses. It wasn’t until yesterday that I realized it was fear holding me back. The fear of losing you, but let’s face it you aren’t going anywhere and neither am I. Y/N, there is nothing in this world that is worth keeping my distance from you.” His hand fell from his face and landed over mine.
“Y/N, I could never close my heart to you because it’s yours. It has always been yours.”
“I’m terrified but I think- I hope you want this too. I hope you want me— us.”
“I know what happened opening night hurt you. I know because if I had to watch some schmuck kiss you… or dance with you…” he paused his rant shifting in his seat “I would loose my mind. It would break me.” He squeezed his eyes shut softly shaking his head back and forth. “I could feel your pain. I could feel the ache in your heart. I could feel your tears. It was unbearable. I never want to be the cause of it again. Ever.”
“The reality is if we become more it will change your life in an instant. I pray that you feel I’m worth it as much as I feel you are. I know you are. It won’t be easy, but I vow to do everything in my power to keep any harm from coming to you. I will always protect you.”
“Lovely, in all the ways I’ve pictured my life, you are always in it. You and I are inevitable. We are predestined. It’s in the stars. Everything in me chooses you. You are it. You’re the dream of all dreams. You’re my dream come true. I love you. I love you infinitely.”
Michael’s shoulders relaxed as he let out a deep sigh. He stood up and pulled his chair over to sit beside me. I couldn’t take my eyes off him. My Michael.
“I um- that was probably too much to throw at you all at once. Goodness it’s hot in here.” He started playing with his hair and I knew he was panicking.
“Can I talk now?” I whispered. He hesitantly nodded.
“Michael, please look at me.” His eyes were closed and he shook his head no. “Michael.”
He didn’t move and I could tell he thought I was going to reject him. My hands landed on his broad shoulders, his eyes still closed as I ever so gently turned him towards me. I tried to focus on my breathing as my hands traveled to the back of his neck. My fingers running through his curls. I took a brief moment to catch my breath before I leaned in.
As our lips met, a strong bolt of electricity ran through my body. I felt his hands tenderly cup my face as he deepened the kiss, his lips moving against mine with a gentle urgency. In that moment, nothing else mattered - no excuses - no fears.
Surprisingly, the thought of being pressed up against Michael never crossed my mind, but now that it was happening, I didn’t want it to end. Michael’s hands were strong as he affectionately caressed my body. Our lips slightly parted - our breathing heavy - our gazes falling onto one another. Michael didn’t waste time letting his eyes travel. His breath hitched as he lustfully scanned my legs on either side of his hips.
“Oh lovely.” He quickly caught my lips again gripping the back of my thighs. He stood up carrying me with ease as he moved over to the bed.
I felt the plush mattress form to the curves of my body as Michael hovered over me leaving sweet kisses across my collarbone.
“I love you Y/N” he mumbled against my skin with each kiss.
“My entire life...” he stopped and adjusted himself to look into my eyes. “My whole life I’ve been completely in love with you.” The corners of his lips curved up and he buried his face into my neck. “Michael, I love you with my whole heart.”
“Please don’t let this be a dream.” Michael pleaded.
“This is real.” I smiled finding his lips again. “This is happening.”
“Y/N?” He said against my lips.
“Yes Michael?”
“Can I take you on a date? A real date. Just the two of us. Tonight after the show.” He moved to the space next to me as we both shifted laying on our sides to face each other.
“I would love that.”
“I want to kiss you forever.”
“I would love that.” I repeated flirtatiously.
“My girl.” He smiled leaning his forehead against mine. “You’re my girl..”
“Oh I am?” I teased.
“I would like you to be mine. Do you want to be my girl?”
“Hmmm.. let me think.”
Michael began singing and my heart melted further with each lyric.
You know how I feel
I won't stop until
I hear your voice saying
"I do"
Michael watched me intently waiting for my answer. He leaned closer and I smiled kissing him deeply “I do” I said against his lips.
This thing can't go wrong
This feeling's so strong
Well, my life ain't worth living
If I can't be with you
I just can't stop loving you
I just can't stop loving you
And if I stop
Then tell me, just what will I do
I just can't stop loving you
There it is part 3!!!
Ahhhhh! Maybe part 4?
I hope you all enjoyed this rollercoaster lol
Let me know what you think. Also, should I put together a tag list?

Not for the first time, you realize just how badly you need to escape from Steve. You have to, before he decides to turn a passing comment into reality and you’ll be trapped with him forever.
The Cure & The Cause
Mafia!Steve x Captive!Reader
Word Count: ~2k
Notes/warning(s): some sexual content, coercion, Steve is sweet but a little psycho, no plot just vibes. Reader’s been kidnapped by Steve and is being held captive for a bit before story begins. Part of the same universe that Failed Bargaining belongs to.
If you enjoyed this, please consider reblogging or leaving some feedback, thanks! ❤
When the car rolls up to the curb and a member of Steve’s unit opens the door, Sharon exits first before it’s your turn. You’ve barely stepped out of the black Range Rover before several bodyguards usher you towards the entrance of the multi-storied boutique, but the small stretch of sidewalk you cross is simply not enough for you to attempt an escape. Figures.
You’ve only ever gone shopping for a wedding dress once, when you had accompanied your best friend in search of hers. But with the costs of her traditional wedding adding up quickly, Lisa had been forced to make some concessions where her dress was concerned. Her final choice was still lovely, in the end, though admittedly it wasn’t perfect in every capacity that she’d envisioned.
As soon as you step foot into the bridal boutique, you realize right away that whatever financial concerns Lisa had during her own wedding planning, Sharon will not have. Money is, quite frankly, the least of her worries. For starters, Sharon is one of Steve’s highest-ranking, and she’s getting married to Sam, so it’s no surprise that all the stops have been pulled out. This upscale boutique is apparently one of many salons she has in mind to visit, but already it’s proving to be the most impressive.
“We have the whole place to ourselves,” Sharon mentions with uncharacteristic giddiness, just as you and the rest of the group settle into plush white sofas. You thought that that in itself spoke to Steve’s influence and wealth, but when the senior manager in her stylish black dress and six-inch heels pops open a bottle of Dom Perignon circa 1996, you’re left wondering how much of Steve’s largesse these people are truly hoping for.
Together with the champagne, the store’s personnel offer you and the others an assortment of French pastries while Sharon gets into her first dress. A collection of them has already been set aside for her based on previous consultations, but today is when she gets to try them on. You’re already reaching for your second flute when you think that for just a second, you want to imagine that this is all a normal picture, that these women you’re here with—Sharon, Nat, Wanda and Sarah—are in fact your girlfriends, rather than accomplices to your captivity. That without him present, you might just be able to subscribe to the illusion. Combined with the right amount of ridiculously expensive champagne, it’s more than possible.
This scares you more than you want to admit. Mostly because you’re stuck realizing how lonely you’ve been up to this point, even before Steve decided to take you, but also how your perception of your captivity is beginning to morph into something less depraved, a jagged picture where the edges are becoming dulled.
You swallow down another bit of champagne in response, and then a little bit more; the next thing you know, time is flying by and your reaction at every dress Sharon steps out in gets more expressive, louder. Somewhere along the way you even end up in Nat’s lap, arms flung over her shoulder, the both of you choking on laughter at a snide comment Sharon’s made about the gown that Wanda—yes, her—has chosen to try on. It’s the very portrait of idealized friendship, of closeness and devotion and support. Of course you want to believe all this, even if only for a minute.
“It looks like you ladies have gone through most of the champagne I sent,” says a low, timbrous voice that slices through the racket of laughter and loud talk.
You, together with everyone else, process Steve’s sudden presence in the salon at the same moment, only your reaction is nowhere near as positive. Amongst the wild cheers and drunken shrieks that the other women let out, you merely stare at him with your mouth agape, blinking at the sight of him in the doorway, Bucky lingering not so far behind. Rather than disappointment, your brain can only process how fucking handsome this man is, how the top of his head nearly grazes the lintel as he enters, every step full of confidence. You’re completely out of his league, your brain foggily reminds you, though you know that—just like you know what’s beneath the gray suit he’s wearing, the one tailored to perfection.
More treacherous thoughts, you realize, just like most of them today.
“It feels like I’ve stepped into a party,” Steve says, rounding a sofa to enter the fray. His blue eyes cut to you, take in your place on Nat’s lap and the way you’re holding on to her, but he says nothing.
“That’s because it is a party,” Sharon insists, a little too loudly, the tendrils of her hair dancing along the sides of her face. “What are you doing here, anyway?”
“We were driving through the district and I thought I’d drop in,” he says, still hovering over them. Bucky’s leaning against the doorway with his arms folded across his body and a look of mild amusement on his face, but he doesn’t attempt to intrude any further.
With his hands poised on his hips, Steve looks over at Wanda standing before the wall-to-wall mirrors. “Last time I checked, you’re not getting married. What’s happening here?”
“Nobody says you have to be a bride to try on a pretty dress,” Nat explains beneath you, one arm still loosely wrapped around your waist. “Sharon needed a breather, actually, so we’ve decided to take turns modeling now. Right, babe?”
She knocks a shoulder against one of yours.
When Steve swivels his head to look down at the both of you, there’s a smirk tugging at one corner of his mouth. “In that case, it’s your turn,” he commands, eyes fixed squarely on you. “Now that I think about it, I'm curious to know how you’d look in a wedding dress. And you want to please me, don’t you?”
You blink at him, letting his words wash over you. You remain sitting on Nat’s lap, even though you’re still not sure how you ended up there in the first place, and you can’t quite believe that Steve’s here too, but reality is starting to sink back in, your little fantasy cracking at the edges. These women around you aren’t your friends, and this isn’t some typical shopping excursion at a designer bridal house.
When you respond, you’re only vaguely aware how much the champagne you’ve been knocking back has emboldened you. His champagne, no less.
“Forget it,” you say, shaking your head. “I don’t want to.”
You think you may be imagining it, but the room suddenly feels quieter. Steve, though, is still looking down at you, his face still set in a calm expression.
“Find a dress, sweetheart, or I’ll choose one and get you into it myself.” He sinks into the plush sofa adjacent to yours, the sole occupant. “Knowing your tastes, you won’t like what I have in mind for you.”
You know that Steve’s not messing around, because he’s made good on a similar threat before. Worst of all, none of the women around you dissent on your behalf, not even Nat, sitting so close to you. You should feel betrayed by their silence, but it’s partly your fault you helped craft the illusion you so badly wanted to believe in.
“Come on beautiful, let’s go find you something,” Nat says gently, nudging you to stand. Maybe it’s the hurt you’re feeling, but this time around you don’t object as you follow a sales consultant, Nat trailing close behind. You pass by Bucky as you leave the private room; he throws you a look akin to mild sympathy before he joins the rest.
“My god, look at you,” he breathes, slowly rising from the plush white sofa. “My sweet, sweet girl, all dressed up to get married.”
You’d chosen a dress that made you think of a suit of armor. But by the way Steve studies you, his gaze sharp enough to pierce through any material, you just feel vulnerable. Exposed. Ironic, because your first and final choice felt the most conservative compared to all the dresses that Sharon and the others had come out in. Nat had coaxed you into wearing a veil, too, completing the whole look.
The champagne keeps your fiery spirit afloat, your tongue looser than normal. “I'm never getting married,” you say.
Steve lifts an eyebrow, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Never?"
"Never," you parrot.
“Well that's too bad, 'cause that won't be a decision you get to make. Now come here.”
You think about ignoring him for a second, just turn right back where you’d shuffled from as your own quiet brand of fuck you. But there’s a look of expectancy on his face, and at his full height, Steve isn’t one to spar with.
His hands are already on your waist when you turn to the expanse of mirrors. You weren’t wrong when you deemed this dress less eye-catching than the others, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less lovely.
“What do you think?” he asks. You can feel his fingers playing with the veil that waterfalls behind you, the way his knuckles ghost along your back.
“It's . . . fine, I guess,” you say, staring at yourself in the mirror.
“Oh, I think it’s more than fine,” he insists. “Stunning, in fact. Should I buy it?”
He doesn’t mean it, you convince yourself, but it’s not enough to clamp down on the panic rising within you. Didn’t he just hear what you’d said a second earlier?
Until now, Steve has never mentioned marriage or anything of the like. But since when did you know how his mind worked? You wouldn’t be here if you did.
“Well?”
You shake your head. “Don’t. I can’t wear white to another bride’s wedding,”
Steve chuckles as he gently draws back the veil and your hair away, sweeping both over your left shoulder. “In that case, you can wear it at home, just for me. And you’ll make sure not to wear anything underneath, won’t you?”
Goosebumps dance along your skin. His hands on your waist have you trapped in place, body pressed against his. To your alarm, you feel him hardening against your back, a threat and a promise.
" I liked it more when it was on the rack," you say hastily, trying to ignore his growing desire, "now that I'm in it, I'm having second thoughts."
In the mirror, you can see Steve shaking his head. "No, you're absolutely radiant in this. It's perfect . . . and it's just so you."
He acts without warning. You inhale sharply as his tongue trails up your neck, slow and hot. Steve was licking you—licking you—in front of everyone, without an ounce of shame. It reminds you all too well of the other night, when he had spread you out across his desk and eaten you out while he'd taken a call on speaker. He'd taken his damned time too, keeping you on the very precipice while the caller spewed all this babel your mind couldn't comprehend, all thanks to the desperate state you were in. And when he finally let you come, it had been with his hand shoved against your mouth.
Not for the first time, you realize just how badly you need to escape from Steve. You have to, before he decides to turn a passing comment into reality and you’ll be trapped with him forever.
Yeah I have no idea what this is lol; it was such a basic and simple premise that really didn’t need to be 2k plus words long, but here we are I guess. Graphics by me.

"Are you excited to marry Jake, Aunt Y/n?" DJ asked eagerly, her eyes shining with curiosity.
Y/n glanced at her reflection in the rearview mirror, a soft smile playing on her lips. "I am, DJ," she replied, her voice tinged with warmth. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him."
Stephanie piped up from the backseat, her enthusiasm contagious. "What's he like as a fiancé, Aunt Y/n? Is he romantic?"
Y/n chuckled, her heart swelling with affection for Jake. "He's incredibly romantic, Steph," she admitted, her thoughts drifting to all the sweet gestures and loving moments they had shared together. "He always knows how to make me feel loved and cherished."
Michelle, ever the inquisitive three-year-old, chimed in with her own question. "Will Jake wear a fancy suit at the wedding, Aunt Y/n?"
Y/n nodded, smiling at her youngest niece's curiosity. "Yes, Michelle," she replied, her voice filled with excitement. "He'll look very handsome in his suit."
As they arrived at the boutique, Y/n's heart fluttered with anticipation. She couldn't wait to find the perfect wedding dress and accessories for her special day, surrounded by the love and support of her beloved nieces.
Together, they stepped into the boutique, ready to embark on the next chapter of Y/n's journey to happily ever after. And as they browsed through racks of beautiful dresses and sparkling accessories, Y/n couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and companionship she had found in Jake, and for the cherished moments she shared with her adoring nieces.
The boutique was a whirlwind of lace, silk, and tulle, with racks of wedding dresses in every style imaginable. Y/n's heart raced with excitement as she and her nieces began their search for the perfect gown.
DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle eagerly pulled dresses off the racks, their eyes sparkling with excitement as they imagined Y/n wearing each one. "How about this one, Aunt Y/n?" DJ exclaimed, holding up a classic ballgown with intricate lace detailing.
Y/n smiled as she examined the dress, running her fingers over the delicate fabric. "It's beautiful, DJ," she replied, her heart swelling with gratitude for her nieces' enthusiasm.
Stephanie held up a sleek, modern gown with a plunging neckline and beaded embellishments. "Or maybe something like this, Aunt Y/n?" she suggested, her eyes alight with excitement.
Y/n nodded, impressed by Stephanie's eye for fashion. "That's stunning, Steph," she agreed, envisioning herself walking down the aisle in the elegant gown.
Meanwhile, Michelle toddled around the boutique, her eyes wide with wonder as she explored the array of accessories on display. "Look, Aunt Y/n!" she exclaimed, holding up a shimmering tiara adorned with sparkling crystals. "You could wear this on your wedding day!"
Y/n laughed, her heart melting at Michelle's innocence and enthusiasm. "That's lovely, Michelle," she replied, her eyes brimming with love for her youngest niece.
As they continued their search, trying on dresses and experimenting with different accessories, Y/n felt overwhelmed with gratitude for the precious moments she shared with her nieces. With their love and support, she knew that no matter which dress she chose, her wedding day would be a celebration of love, family, and the beautiful journey she was about to embark on with Jake by her side.
Amidst all the excitement and suggestions from her nieces, Y/n's heart remained set on her dream wedding dress—a classic tulle A-line gown adorned with delicate beaded lace. As she browsed through the racks of dresses, her eyes lit up when she spotted it, hanging gracefully among the other gowns.
With a smile of anticipation, Y/n reached out to touch the soft tulle fabric, feeling the intricate lace appliqués beneath her fingertips. The dress was everything she had ever dreamed of—timeless, elegant, and utterly breathtaking.
"Girls, look!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement as she held up the dress for her nieces to see. "This is the one."
DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle gathered around her, their eyes wide with awe as they admired the gown. "It's perfect, Aunt Y/n!" DJ exclaimed, her voice filled with admiration.
Stephanie nodded in agreement, her face lighting up with a smile. "You're going to look like a princess, Aunt Y/n," she remarked, her voice tinged with excitement.
Michelle clapped her hands in delight, her eyes sparkling with joy. "I love it, Aunt Y/n!" she exclaimed, her enthusiasm contagious.
With her nieces' seal of approval, Y/n knew that she had found the dress of her dreams. As she slipped into the gown and looked at her reflection in the mirror, she felt a surge of emotion wash over her. This dress wasn't just a piece of fabric—it was a symbol of love, hope, and the beautiful future she was about to embark on with Jake.
With her nieces by her side, Y/n knew that her wedding day would be a celebration of love, family, and the incredible journey that had led her to this moment. And as she gazed at her reflection in the mirror, she couldn't help but feel grateful for the precious moments she shared with her adoring nieces, who had made this day even more special with their love and support.
Y/n stepped out of the changing room, the soft tulle of her dream wedding dress billowing around her as she emerged into the boutique. Her heart raced with anticipation as she turned to face her nieces, eager to see their reactions.
DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle stood in awe, their eyes wide with wonder as they took in the sight of their aunt in her exquisite gown. Their faces lit up with delight, their smiles stretching from ear to ear as they admired Y/n's radiant beauty.
"Wow, Aunt Y/n, you look like a real-life princess!" DJ exclaimed, her voice filled with admiration.
Stephanie nodded enthusiastically, her eyes shining with excitement. "You're the most beautiful bride I've ever seen, Aunt Y/n," she declared, her words sincere and heartfelt.
Michelle clapped her hands in delight, her face aglow with joy. "Aunt Y/n, you're so pretty!" she exclaimed, her enthusiasm contagious.
Tears welled up in Y/n's eyes as she gazed at her nieces, feeling overwhelmed with love and gratitude. Their genuine excitement and adoration filled her heart with warmth, reminding her of the incredible bond they shared as a family.
With her nieces by her side, Y/n knew that her wedding day would be a day to remember—a celebration of love, joy, and the precious moments she shared with her beloved family. And as she stood before them in her beautiful gown, she couldn't help but feel blessed to have such wonderful nieces who had made this day even more special with their love and support.
Overwhel
med by the love and affection of her nieces, Y/n's emotions spilled over, tears of joy streaming down her cheeks as she stood before them in her stunning wedding gown. Without hesitation, DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle rushed forward, their arms open wide as they enveloped their aunt in a warm, heartfelt embrace.
Y/n wrapped her arms around her nieces, holding them close as she savored the sweet embrace of their love. Their hugs were filled with warmth and tenderness, a comforting reminder of the unbreakable bond they shared as a family.
"Thank you, my darlings," Y/n whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "Thank you for being here with me, for sharing in this special moment."
DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle squeezed her tightly, their own tears mingling with Y/n's as they held each other close. In that moment, surrounded by the love of her precious nieces, Y/n felt a profound sense of gratitude and happiness wash over her.
With her nieces by her side, Y/n knew that she was ready to embark on the next chapter of her life—a journey filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments shared with her beloved family. And as they stood there together, wrapped in each other's arms, she couldn't help but feel immensely blessed to have such wonderful nieces who had brought so much joy and happiness into her life.
After sharing a heartfelt moment with her nieces, Y/n wiped away her tears of joy and composed herself. She returned to the changing room to slip out of her wedding gown and back into her everyday clothes, a smile still lingering on her lips as she thought about the special bond she shared with her nieces.
Once she was dressed, Y/n made her way over to the assistant, her heart still fluttering with excitement. With determination in her eyes, she approached the assistant and spoke with unwavering confidence.
"I've made my decision," Y/n announced, her voice filled with certainty. "The dress I tried on earlier—the classic tulle A-line with beaded lace—it's the one I'm taking home."
The assistant smiled warmly, understanding the significance of Y/n's choice. "Excellent choice," she replied, her tone filled with approval. "That dress is absolutely stunning on you."
With a sense of satisfaction and anticipation, Y/n made arrangements to purchase the dress, knowing that it would be the perfect gown for her special day. As she left the boutique, she couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement for the future, knowing that she had found the dress of her dreams and that her wedding day would be a celebration filled with love, happiness, and cherished memories.
--
As Jake sat with Bradley and Bob in the living room, he couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness about marrying Y/n soon. Bradley and Bob, sensing his apprehension, exchanged knowing glances before Bradley spoke up.
"So, Jake," Bradley began, his voice gentle but curious. "How are you feeling about marrying Y/n soon?"
Jake took a moment to collect his thoughts, feeling a surge of emotions wash over him. "Honestly, I'm feeling a bit nervous," he admitted, his voice tinged with uncertainty. "But mostly, I'm just excited to start this new chapter of our lives together."
Bob nodded in understanding, a supportive smile on his face. "It's completely normal to feel nervous," he reassured Jake. "But trust me, once you see Y/n walking down that aisle, all your worries will melt away."
Jake smiled gratefully at his friends, feeling reassured by their words of wisdom. "Thanks, guys," he said, his voice filled with gratitude. "I can't wait to marry Y/n and start our life together."
With Bradley and Bob by his side, Jake knew that he had the love and support of his friends as he prepared to embark on this exciting journey with Y/n. And as he looked forward to their wedding day, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the incredible bond he shared with both Y/n and his supportive friends.
As they sat together in the cozy living room, Jake opened up more about his feelings, feeling a sense of relief in confiding in his friends. "I've been thinking a lot about our future together," he admitted, his voice tinged with emotion. "Y/n means everything to me, and I just want to make sure I'm ready to take on this next step."
Bradley and Bob listened attentively, nodding in understanding as they offered words of encouragement. "You're going to make a wonderful husband, Jake," Bradley reassured him, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "And Y/n is lucky to have someone as caring and devoted as you."
Bob chimed in, his trademark grin spreading across his face. "Yeah, Jake, you've got this," he said, his voice filled with confidence. "Just remember to stay true to yourself and to Y/n, and everything will fall into place."
Feeling uplifted by his friends' support, Jake felt a renewed sense of determination. "Thanks, guys," he said, a grateful smile on his face. "I know I have a lot to learn, but I'm ready to take on whatever challenges come our way."
With the encouragement of his friends and the love of Y/n by his side, Jake knew that he was ready to embrace the journey ahead. And as he looked forward to their wedding day, he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation for the life they would build together.
As the conversation continued, Bradley and Bob shared their own experiences and advice, recounting the joys and challenges of marriage. They spoke of the importance of communication, compromise, and unwavering support for one another.
"It's not always going to be easy," Bradley admitted, his voice filled with wisdom. "But as long as you and Y/n are committed to each other and willing to work through any obstacles together, you'll come out stronger on the other side."
Bob nodded in agreement, his expression thoughtful. "And don't forget to keep the romance alive," he added with a wink. "Surprise her with flowers, plan spontaneous date nights, and never stop telling her how much you love her."
Jake listened intently to their advice, feeling grateful for their guidance. He knew that he had a lot to learn about being a husband, but with Bradley and Bob's support, he felt more confident in his ability to navigate this new chapter of his life.
As they sat together in the warm glow of friendship, Jake felt a deep sense of gratitude for the bond he shared with Bradley and Bob. With their wisdom and encouragement, he knew that he was ready to take on the challenges and joys of marriage with Y/n by his side.
The conversation drifted into reminiscing about memorable moments with Y/n, laughter filling the room as they shared stories of her kindness, humor, and unwavering love for her family.
"I remember when Y/n first joined our family," Bradley said with a nostalgic smile. "She brought so much joy and warmth into our home from day one."
Bob nodded, his eyes reflecting fond memories. "Yeah, and she's always been there for us, through thick and thin," he added, his voice filled with appreciation.
Jake's heart swelled with love as he thought about Y/n, his soon-to-be wife. "She's truly one of a kind," he said softly, a smile spreading across his face. "And I can't wait
to spend the rest of my life making her happy."
In that moment, surrounded by cherished memories and the unwavering support of his friends, Jake felt a deep sense of gratitude for the incredible woman he was about to marry. And as they laughed and reminisced late into the night, he knew that their love would only continue to grow stronger with each passing day.
As the evening wore on, the conversation turned to lighter topics, and Bradley, Bob, and Jake found themselves delving into deeper conversations, discussing their hopes and dreams for the future and reflecting on the journey that had brought them to this moment.
"I never imagined I'd be here, about to marry the love of my life," Jake confessed, a hint of awe in his voice as he glanced at his friends.
Bradley smiled warmly, a glimmer of pride in his eyes. "You've come a long way, Jake," he said, his voice tinged with admiration. "And I have no doubt that you and Y/n are meant to be together."
Bob nodded in agreement, his expression serious. "You're both so lucky to have found each other," he remarked, his tone filled with sincerity. "And I know you'll build a beautiful life together."
Jake felt a swell of gratitude for his friends' unwavering support, knowing that they would always be there for him, no matter what the future held. With their encouragement and camaraderie, he felt ready to take on whatever challenges came his way, confident that he had a strong support system to lean on.
As they sat together in the comfort of their shared home, surrounded by the warmth of friendship and the promise of a bright future, Jake couldn't help but feel a deep sense of contentment. With Bradley and Bob by his side, he knew that he was ready to embrace the adventure of marriage and all the joys and uncertainties that lay ahead.
As the night wore on, the conversation turned to lighter topics, and Bradley, Bob, and Jake found themselves reminiscing about their favorite memories with Y/n.
"I'll never forget the time Y/n surprised us with a homemade dinner after a long day at work," Bradley recalled, a nostalgic smile gracing his lips. "It wasn't just about the food—it was the thought and effort she put into it that made it special."
Bob nodded in agreement, his eyes alight with fondness. "And remember when she organized that impromptu game night and we ended up laughing until our stomachs hurt?" he added, a grin spreading across his face.
Jake joined in the laughter, his heart swelling with affection for Y/n. "She has a way of making even the simplest moments feel magical," he remarked, his voice filled with admiration.
As they continued to share stories and laughter, Jake felt grateful for the bond he shared with his friends and the love they all felt for Y/n. In that moment, surrounded by cherished memories and the warmth of friendship, he couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible woman he was about to marry and the wonderful friends who had become like family to him.

Mafia! Ateez Reaction: They take you shopping for your wedding, but the other members crash your session
Summary: Since the day the boys planned the wedding, everything was going just perfect! Well, that is until they agreed to let the others help, by giving them small tasks, but this is Ateez :”) there is no way they will not be part of the main event. (I also watch too much “say yes to the dress” if you can’t tell, lmao).
CW: none really, just general crack, weddings, and fluff, men in dresses lmfao, mafia themes, gifs not mine, enjoy!
Hongjoong:
Now he had warned the members, Woosan specifically, that today was about you, and that no shenanigans would be tolerated. He allowed them to ride in the car, and warned them to stay there or they would be “severely punished. But in the middle of your cake testing, the two mischievous boys had snuck into the shop, sneaking in tastes of frosting here and there, and posing as a couple in need of a cake as they trailed not far behind you. You were the first to notice, and tried not to blow their cover as you held back a laugh, but all that was shattered when Wooyoung knocked over a vase, catching the attention of everyone in the shop. Hongjoong facepalmed as San dragged Wooyoung out of the shop.
“How about chocolate-”
CRASH!!
“WOOYOUNG YOU IDIOT!”
Seonghwa:
Seonghwa is the wedding planner of all wedding planners. He kept everything and everyone on schedule, and everyone was in line. Well, almost everyone. Mingi and Hongjoong wanted to come to the bridal boutique so that Seonghwa “wouldn’t have you looking like an old woman,” which got them a resounding no. “Stick to the flowers.” Seonghwa was “quite capable of making an appropriate selection,” but since this would be your day, it would be your choice. What Seonghwa didn’t anticipate was the fact that the boutique was owned by none other than Mingi’s sister. They wound up shooing Seonghwa away as they helped you find a perfect dress (as expected of the two fashionistas).
“I was thinking something more tradition- what the hell are you two doing here?!”
“This shop does say “Song’s Bridal” on the sign bud”
“I hate you so much”
Yunho:
Your day with Yunho was going great! You were not only wedding dress shopping, but having a self care day since the stress of mafia life could be quite draining. Yunho was enjoying himself as much, if not more, than you. That is, until it was time for you to try on the second dress you picked out. Ever the jokester, Yunho had decided that he too would put on a dress “fit for a queen,” and surprise you when you came back out. But he came out a little later than you, finding his bride to be laughing along with Yeosang and Jongho, who were snapping pictures.
“Damn, I didn’t know there were two brides”
“KANG YEOSANG YOU BETTER NOT POST THOSE ANYWHERE”
Yeosang:
Members crashing his cake tasting? Nope, it wasn’t happening. He had asked San to help keep the boys away from the appointment, and San was determined to be the best helper... except for when it came to Seonghwa and Yunho. They gave him puppy eyes (and $5) and that's all it took for them to weasel their way into the wedding decisions. You noticed them, taking heed of the cake flavors they silently pointed out to you, surprising Yeosang as he knew they weren’t flavors you usually picked. He knew something was amiss the minute you chose to taste a mint chocolate flavor. He glanced up to see Yunho and Seonghwa dying of laughter in the kitchen window. You could practically see the steam coming off his ears as he charged towards them.
“I SWEAR I’M GONNA KILL YOU TWO!”
“You’ve got to catch us first, chicken boy!” (Seonghwa)
San:
San had banned all members from your bridal appointment, wanting you to have a stress free day. He sat in the parlor, reading a magazine as he waited for you to pick the perfect gown. However, he didn’t expect to see such a tall bridesmaid come striding out of the back room and onto the runway in front of him- was that Mingi?! San whipped his head around in confusion, as Yunho also came striding out in a bridesmaid dress, much to the amusement of the consultant. San let out an indignant cry. “Where is my bride?” San fake cried as the consultant went to retrieve you. You’d sent out the boys as a distraction, giggling when the consultant brought you out.
“Aww look Yunho, San melted!”
“Song Mingi, I’m going to eat your leftover food out of the fridge.”
Mingi:
Decoration and cake flavor shopping? He could do that. He didn’t even tell anyone he planned to go. He just got up, got dressed, and followed you out of the door. But Jongho and Wooyoung were right on your tails. Mingi knew they were following along, but he didn’t address them until it was time to go cake tasting. “What are you idiots doing?” He’d scowl at them for interrupting his personal time with you, as he didn’t get much of it these days. “We just wanted to be a part of it. It’s the most important event of your lives.” You feel bad for them, and ask Mingi to let them tag along. The four of you tasted cake together, and all was well, until you went for decorations. The youngest members decided they’d redecorate the store... needless to say, you all wound up kicked out, but all of you had pretty flower crowns, so it didn’t bother you too much.
“And this is why you two stay at home.”
“No Mingi, this is why you have no taste for interior design.”
Wooyoung:
Hongjoong and San were hot on your tails through the bridal shop, and you giggled as Wooyoung pulled you through the shop, past countless dressing rooms and fittings, your own bridal appointment momentarily forgotten. They were desperate to put you in a dress they saw in the window that Wooyoung thought was hideous. They chased you until Wooyoung pulled you both into a room filled with dresses, lace and ruffles everywhere. You held onto your robe tightly as Wooyoung spun to face you. “I think we’re in the clear babe. I think this is the alterations room” “You got that right mister!” He jumped in fright as two older ladies, who looked like they ran the place addressed him. They were sitting at their desks, watching the whole thing unfold before them. You explained the situation, and they laughed, agreeing to help.
“You youngsters running in the hallway of my store! Yes you! If you’re gonna carry around my dresses, I’ve work for you to do in here!”
Jongho:
Jongho sighed, looking at the sight before him. The entire squad was begging to go with you to your first dress fitting, having been banned from most of Jongho’s wedding plans due to their usual shenanigans. He’d been very good at avoiding them up until this point, but you were six months pregnant with twins now, which meant your movements were significantly slower, and your heart was considerably bigger. You felt pity for them, pouting at Jongho to let them go if they promised to behave. He’d agreed, but now he was watching an all out brawl in the bridal shop, because the boys heard someone say you looked like a whale, which had hurt your feelings. Jongho was holding you close while the rest of the boys defended their nieces/nephews.
“You’re not so cute yourself sweetheart! Try looking in a mirror without breaking it, then you’ll have a more honest opinion about yourself.” Jongho sighed again. They were going to get kicked out, but at least your dress had fit well.

Karen,Joyce & Steve look more excited then you do but Robin looks like her head is gonna explode she’s so red in the face so you decided to pull her aside before you all get the day started. “Hey Robs you okay you look flushed I thought I’m supposed to be the nervous wreck hahah” you squeeze her shoulder for support she takes a deep breath before turning to you “dresses jame you know I hate looking frilly this place makes me feel like I’m already suffocating & I didn’t even try a damn thing on yet &…” you stop her mid ramble “robs nobody said you had to wear a dress as a matter of fact I called ahead & spoke with them & they have a pantsuit in the same color as the dresses I’m having pulled for today so please breathe it’s gonna be fine & you know I got my best friend” you kiss her cheeks & pull her along to the dressing area where all of the workers have pulled a bunch of things for you & your bridal party you turn you your group “okay bridesmaids first then finding Joyce & Karen something because you’re both being given mother roles for us both beings we both lost ours if that’s okay with you ladies?..” they both get up hugging you squealing in excitement & gladly except your offer “okay so most of these bridesmaids gowns are in lavender & we can find silver belts or something to add maybe robs there’s these for you to the black slacks with the lavender silk button up and tie Rachel Nancy I have these gowns for you two to try out & moms they’re on the way with stuff for you guys in the color scheme now excuse me while I go have a conversation with the owner & I’ll be back to see how everything looks” they all nod & you’re off to discuss colors and details for your dress wanting to keep your ideas a surprise for everyone. You head back to the group as robin steps out of the dressing area in her pantsuit “oh my robs! That’s perfect I love it!!” She beams looking more herself “i really like the way these pants fit & this shirt is so comfortable I thought silk would give me the willies but I actually really like it you did awesome” next Nancy & Rachel head out in two different gowns so you could decide which on you liked more Rachel in a dark purple tea dress with puffy sleeves & Nancy in a lavender gown with sheer sleeves & floral patterns you look at Joyce & Karen for a moment before looking back at the girls “the one Nancy is wearing just seems so perfect for everything I think I’m gonna have to go with that one it matches robs pantsuit too I really love it” the workers start measuring the ladies as you go off to try your dresses next.
Trying on different gowns alone you just weren’t feeling that spark trying them on & you were about to give up completely & call it a day until the owner knocks on your dressing room door you open up & let her inside & she has two more dresses in her arms “now these I just pulled from the back this color doesn’t sell much but I have a feeling one of these would find a home with you” you can see the colors & fabrics draped over her arm & you bubble with excitement as they’re absolutely perfect & what you’ve been looking for all this time she helps you into the first one “hmmpf yeah I feel like a big puff ball in this one & it’s kind of itchy so let’s try that last one i really like the skirt on that one” she helps you out of the first one & into the second & you feel as if electric currents were coursing through your veins & give her a smile & a nod “I’m gonna show them this one this just feels like it’s the one I know it” she escorts you to your group they’re all fussing over god knows what because they’re all talking at once not noticing you approach them until Robin catches you out of the corner of her eye “well hot damn if that doesn’t scream mrs Munson I don’t know what will” & with that they all turn to see you & gush over how beautiful they think you look. Wrapping up measurements & payments Steve comes up & gives you the biggest hug on the planet “you looked absolutely amazing he’s gonna love it I just know it I’m so happy for you jame & by the way thanks for helping with.. you know with Rachel & stuff.. we’ve really been getting along great & im hoping I can convince her to stay” this excited you knowing both Steve & your cousin have had their fair share of heartbreak “im really happy for you guys too & she’s great Steve don’t hurt her or I’ll cut your damn balls off got it” you wink he knows you wouldn’t hurt him nor would he hurt Rachel. You all exit the boutique & head for your cars & off to your homes to get ready for tonight. Instead of bachelorette & bachelor parties you both agreed on girls & guys night out. You ladies are heading to a club just outside of town & the guys are going to have beers & play pool at the hideout. You got your best jeans on a guns & roses shirt cut into a crop top your knee high boots & Eddie’s belt. The girls came over Nancy promised to do yours & robins hair & you’re all off to hop in Paula & decided tonight that Nancy be driving beings you & Robin tend to get completely wasted & act like 2 middle school children on the way home. Pulling up to the club you all get your id’s ready pass the bouncer & head straight for the bar “three bay breezes & 3 shots of tequila!” You all take a shot & take your drinks to find a table when you spot in the back near the jukebox perfect all three of you slide in & you pop a few dimes into the slot skimming through songs deciding on playing “let the music” play by Shannon as you ladies finish up your drinks to head over & dance with each other having the time of your lives. Different colored lights lighting up the dimly lit area. Thinking of all you went through to get to this very moment in life & what amazing things still await for the future ahead. Knowing Eddie’s out having just as much of a good time as you with the people who matter the most. There’s not a thing in this world that could get you to change your mind or trade in what you have now. These are your people, your family in Hawkins it may not be as large as the busyness of the inner cities around the globe but as small as this town is it’s big enough to be your entire world & then some. At the hideout all the guys have just finished up multiple rounds of pool & ordered more drinks for the table & Steve comes back with a tray of shots “alright Munson I sure as shit didn’t think you’d be the first of us to get married but here we are & I couldn’t be happier for the both of you take care of our little sister or me & gareth will beat your ass! Haha anyways to brothers to family to the future Mr & Mrs Munson” “here here” they all cheers & take their shot.

Wild Lavender
Hermione x Fred | Kinktober Day 30: “Formalwear” cw: implied sex
When Hermione saw the formal invitation with “black tie” in carefully printed letters, she had to admit a part of her almost canceled on Fred right then and there.
The Merchant’s Inaugural Gala was meant to celebrate the reformation of Diagon Alley and related shopping districts after the war. It had been a long time getting back to the previous levels of activity, too long since people felt comfortable in the public spaces that once brought so many of them joy.
It was through that rebuilding effort that Hermione and Fred bonded, with her spending much of her free time on the weekends over at Weasleys’ Wizarding Wheezes replenishing stocks and shelves alongside her favorite twin.
They were so close to taking that final step towards something more, and when he’d asked her to be his +1, she hadn’t hesitated to accept. Now, standing in his kitchen above the store after going up to get a drink of water, she looked down at the card atop his table.
Black tie.
What was she even going to wear? She didn’t have any gowns suitable for this type of event. The best she had was the red cocktail dress she’d worn at Bill and Fleur’s wedding. Could she have it lengthened?
Fred popped his head in the door and noticed her standing there, chewing her lip.
“Everything alright, Hermione?”
She startled at his voice and set the glass down with a loud clunk.
“I didn’t realize the gala would be so formal.”
He sauntered over to look down at the invitation, before looking back up at her with his head tilted. “Is that going to be a problem?”
“I just don’t know if I have anything to wear,” she admitted. She willed her hands to stop twisting the hem of her sweater like she often did when nervous.
“Sorry, I should have mentioned it earlier. I didn’t have anything either, which is why I popped over to Wild Lavender.”
That surprised her. For some reason, she couldn’t imagine him walking into the posh new boutique.
His next words surprised her even more. “If you go for yourself, let them know you’re my date. They’ll take care of you.”
She gaped at him, appalled at the implication. “I’m not letting you buy my gown, Fred!” He obviously had no idea how expensive dresses could get.
“I promise that’s not what I mean,” he laughed, shaking his head. “They’ll just make sure you get something that matches well. The proprietor also may have mentioned wanting to meet you.”
She wrinkled her brow at the strange comment. Why would a stranger want to meet her? Then another idea came to mind and she flinched. What if they were one of those people who got off on meeting celebrities? She was a household name now, alongside the boys, and she’d already suffered her fair share of dodging the press.
As if he’d read her mind, Fred nudged her playfully. “It’s nothing bad, trust me. Quite the opposite, actually.”
“Hmm,” she hummed skeptically. “We’ll see about that.”
Her mind whirred as she followed him back down to the shop. What could the owner of an up-and-coming clothes shop want with her?
It turned out that the proprietors were none other than Parvati Patil and Lavender Brown.
She should have guessed the connection with the name, but she hadn’t seen nor heard anything about Lavender following her hospitalization. Hermione had known it was a pretty big ordeal—it was Fenrir, after all–and that her former housemate survived, but nothing beyond that.
The two girls circled her like hawks, and Hermione tried to not stare at the scars marring the once-pretty girl’s face, focusing instead on Parvati’s excited smile.
“You’re going to be perfect!” she gushed. Lavender nodded in agreement, continuing to take her measurements.
“I’m sorry, what is going to be perfect?” Hermione asked, her nerves getting the better of her. She had to forcibly stop herself from gripping her sweater.
“We’re thinking midnight blue to match with Fred, and something that accentuates your delicate features,” Parvati answered.
“She won’t need any support with how tiny she is,” Lavender murmured.
Hermione flushed. She knew she was skinny—several months on the run had made certain of that. She had only recently gotten back to her former weight, but it was still difficult making herself eat when she could have easily skipped meals.
Lavender rested a gentle hand on her shoulder, and Hermione looked at her directly for the first time. She hadn’t expected the comfort, to be honest, given their history. Large hazel eyes looked back at her filled with a kindness and understanding to which Hermione couldn’t help but respond. She smiled tightly, tears threatening to fall, and it was only Lavender’s reassuring squeeze that gave her the will to stop them.
“I didn’t mean anything by it, Hermione,” Lavender said softly, going on to explain, “I simply meant that we won’t need further adjustments.”
It turned out what they had in mind was more daring than Hermione would have ever, ever chosen for herself.
The drawing Parvati held up to her revealed a slender gown that hugged the model’s willowy frame, the back of which plunged deep past the center of her back with thin straps exposing her shoulders. She appreciated the design hiding the purple scar reaching across her torso—she wasn’t ashamed of it, but she still wasn’t comfortable with showing it off to others. She’d cross that hurdle with Fred if they ever got there.
The skirt flared outward at the knee in a mermaid silhouette. Hermione had only ever considered the shape as something appropriate for wedding gowns, not for anything she would ever wear.
“We’re adding a charm to occasionally shimmer gold as you move,” Parvati described. She waved her hands in her excitement. “You won’t need to wear a bra or anything for support since we’ll have spells weaved into the fabric, not that you even can wear one with this design. I’d advise against knickers, as well.”
“It’s beautiful, but don’t you think it’s a bit…much…for me?” she tentatively asked.
“Nonsense,” Lavender scoffed. Her voice regained the vigor of her youth in her certainty. “In fact, I’d wager you’ll catch every single person’s attention the moment you walk in. You are magnificent.”
Hermione only wanted one wizard’s attention, but she flushed at the compliment, all the same.
“Just make sure you credit Wild Lavender when asked about your stylist,” Parvati added.
Hermione couldn’t help but laugh. Here was the true reason they’d wanted to meet her so badly. When they refused her payment, she barely argued. If they wanted her to parade their goods to the world, she might as well take them up on the offer.
She had no idea what to expect as she waited for Fred to arrive at her flat. She trusted he’d dress appropriately thanks to the girls, but she also wouldn’t have put it past the mischievous wizard to show up in something akin to his and George’s signature orange.
Hermione had to admit that she wouldn’t even mind.
As garish as the color was, the brightness of it simply suited him. Fred was pure joy. If he hadn’t survived his injuries after the final battle, Hermione knew the loss would have devastated his family and everyone else who knew him, and she would have been robbed of some of the happiest moments of her life.
When the knock came, a cheery trio of raps that was all Fred, she took a steadying breath before opening the door.
Fred Weasley cleaned up extremely well.
The prat knew it, too.
He stood there, one hand casually in his pocket, and the other holding up a single-stemmed rose in a deep shade of red, a single dark blue ribbon tied to the stem.
He wore a three-piece suit in a shade of brown Hermione immediately likened to her favorite dark roast coffee. The color complimented his hair, shorn short on the sides and the longer tresses up top styled in fashionable messiness. Accents of a blue matching the rose’s ribbon could be found in his slim tie and pocket square, both of which brought out his light blue eyes, which were currently pinned on her and twinkling in a way that was uniquely his.
“Hello, Hermione.”
It took a twist of his lips for Hermione to realize she was gaping at him. She shut her mouth with an audible click and hastily cast about for something appropriate to say.
She was an intelligent witch. She could be witty when required.
“Hi.”
Bloody hell.
His damnable lips curled upward into a grin. He then blatantly ran his eyes down her figure, before locking back onto her stupefied gaze. “You look gorgeous.”
Hermione was forced to clear her throat, which suddenly felt extremely dry, before answering. “Thank you. You look very nice, as well.”
She flushed as he chuckled at her stiff response. She sounded nothing like her normal self, and she hated that. Why couldn’t she just act like she normally did around him? It was usually so easy.
Curse Lavender and Parvati for making him look so damn delicious.
Hermione already knew he was a good-looking and fit wizard; a blind witch could have told her that. He and George had been Beaters, after all. They had the muscle mass to back up the skills the position required: broad shoulders, thick thighs that his dress slacks hugged sinfully, and an arse so tight she knew if he just turned around she’d want to bounce a Quaffle off of it.
Were Quaffles bouncy?
“Shall we?” He held out an elbow.
“Yes, oh!” Hermione plucked the rose from his fingers and rushed back to the kitchen to set it in a vase in the dead center of the island. “Now I’m ready.”
A choked sound had her twirling around in concern. His eyes were wide, and she realized that he’d seen her back for the first time.
Her very. Bare. Back.
He smiled tightly at her, closed his eyes for a few seconds, the tendons in his neck standing out, then reopened them before offering his arm once more for her to take.
As she tucked her hand into the crook of his elbow, Hermione couldn’t help but squeeze lightly in appreciation. He was just so solid and warm, and she couldn’t help but imagine him wrapping those same arms around her. What would they feel like pressing her against the wall, or bent over a desk?
A throat clearing had her looking up into crystal clear eyes that looked hungry.
“Yes?”
“That’s the second time you’ve said ‘yes’ this evening and I’m tempted to make you say it several times more before we even leave the flat.” He sounded hoarse, eyes dropping down to her lips and staring like he wanted nothing more than to bite them.
Circe help her, but she wanted him to bite her.
“Then why don’t you?” she said, far more breathily than she’d intended.
“Be careful what you ask for, Hermione,” he warned, turning to face her and placing his other hand on her hip.
Looking as he did, painfully handsome and dressed up for her, Hermione summoned every ounce of courage in her body to voice her thoughts aloud.
“Make me say ‘yes’, Fred.”
His eyes flashed, and then he was on her, pressing her up against the kitchen island, the hand on her hip sliding down to grip her thigh.
“Don’t you dare rip this dress, Fred Weasley.”
“Then tell me how to take it off, witch.”
She told him, and they ended up arriving at the gala several hours late, but just in time for the final toasts.
“Oh, this? Wild Lavender. You will not regret it.”

I don’t know if I’ve ever written Fremione, despite absolutely loving the two of them together? The twins are fantastic if any combination, to be honest, and I should probably write a triad fic for them sometime.
The title is a reference to a couple of YouTube fashion influencers I used to watch all the time. Kudos if you recognize it ;)
