ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT GONORRHEA
Gonorrhea is an infection caused by a sexually transmitted bacterium that infects both males and females. Gonorrhea most frequently affects the urethra, rectum or throat. In females, gonorrhea can even infect the cervix.
Tumblr media
Gonorrhea is most ordinarily spread during vaginal, oral or anal. But babies of infected mothers are often infected during childbirth. In babies, gonorrhea most ordinarily affects the eyes. Abstaining from sex, employing a condom if you've got sex and being in a very mutually monogamous relationship are the most effective ways to stop sexually transmitted infections.
Symptoms of Gonorrhea
In many cases, gonorrhea infection causes no symptoms. Symptoms, however, can affect many sites in your body, but commonly appear within the genital tract. Symptoms in men like:
 Painful urination
Pus-like discharge from the tip of the penis
Pain or swelling in one testicle
Women shows following symptoms:
 Increased emission
Painful urination
Vaginal bleeding between periods, like after vaginal intercourse
 Abdominal or pelvic pain
Gonorrhea at other sites within the body
Gonorrhea may affect these parts of the body: 1) Rectum. Signs and symptoms include anal itching, pus-like discharge from the rectum, spots of bright red blood on tissue of toilet and having to strain during bowel movements.
2) Eyes. A pus like discharge from both the eyes may be a symptom of Gonorrhea.
3) Throat. Signs and symptoms of a streptococcal might include a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes within the neck.
4) Joints. If one or more joints become infected by bacteria (septic arthritis), the affected joints can be warm, red, swollen and very painful, especially during movement.
What are the reasons behind Gonorrhea
Gonorrhea is caused by the Bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae. The gonorrhea bacteria are most frequently passed from one person to a different during sexual contact, including oral, anal or vaginal intercourse.
Who are at high risk of getting Gonorrhea
Sexually active women younger than 25 and men who have intercourse with men are at increased risk of getting gonorrhea.
There can be other factors for Gonorrhea, as:
Having new sex partner
Having a sex partner who has other partners
Having over one sex partner
Having had gonorrhea or another sexually transmitted infection
Complications faced by the patient of Gonorrhea
Untreated gonorrhea can result in major complications, such as:
1) Infertility in women.
Gonorrhea can spread into the uterus and fallopian tubes, causing pelvic disease (PID). PID may end up in scarring of the tubes, greater risk of pregnancy complications and infertility. PID requires immediate treatment.
Tumblr media
2) Infertility in men.
Gonorrhea can cause small, coiled tube within the rear portion of the testicles where the sperm ducts are located (epididymis) to become inflamed (epididymitis). Untreated epididymitis can result in infertility.
3) Infection that spreads to the joints and other areas of your body.
It can affect your other parts of body such as- Fever, rashes, swelling and joint pain are other possible results of Gonorrhea.
4) Increased risk of HIV/AIDS.
Having gonorrhea causes you to more prone to infection with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the virus that ends up in AIDS. folks that have both gonorrhea and HIV are able to pass both diseases more readily to their partners.
Buy medicines and healthcare products online from 3MEDS website which is an approved online medical store in India.
5) Complications in babies.
Babies who contract gonorrhea from their mothers during birth can develop blindness, sores on the scalp and infections.
How to treat Gonorrhea
-  Treatment for adults:
Adults with gonorrhea are treated with antibiotics. Because of emerging strains of drug-resistant gonorrhea, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that uncomplicated gonorrhea be treated with the antibiotic ceftriaxone — given as an injection — with oral azithromycin (Zithromax). If you're allergic to cephalosporin antibiotics, like ceftriaxone, you may take oral gemifloxacin or injectable gentamicin and oral azithromycin.
You can buy prescription drugs online in Delhi from 3MEDS website at 23% discount.
- Gonorrhea treatment for partners: Your partner also should undergo testing and treatment for gonorrhea, whether or not he or she has no signs or symptoms. Your partner receives the identical treatment you are doing. Whether or not you have been treated for gonorrhea, a partner who isn't treated can pass it to you again. - Gonorrhea treatment for babies: Babies born to mothers with gonorrhea who develop the infection can be treated with antibiotics.
In a nutshell
The best way to prevent yourself from Gonorrhea is to have a protected intercourse. If you have Gonorrhea then you should follow all the medications and advices given by your doctor. Awareness also plays a important role in preventing Gonorrhea, more you will be aware then more you will be protected. The openness regarding intimate diseases must be there because they directly affects the reproductive health and can cause serious complications during pregnancy.

Did you Know? Chlamydia is not often tested in teens
The article Did you Know? Chlamydia is not often tested in teens was first published to: https://www.blog.meetpositives.com
How to Get Yourself Screen Test for Chlamydia and STD?
The recent data shows that chlamydia is the most common STD in America that is often seen in teens and young adults. This infection can unknowingly be passed to others since most of the time it shows no symptoms. Though it can easily be treated it can lead to serious illness if left untreated for a long time.

For which STDs should I get tested?

We recommend that all sexually active teenage girls get a chlamydia test every year. We also recommend gonorrhea testing for teenage girls. Because we recognize that there's also a lot of HIV infection, although it's not as common in teenagers, we recommend that sexually active teenagers get at least one HIV test. Then, depending on their risk, their provider can decide whether or not they should get tested more often after that first test.
Syphilis is not as common in teenagers, so testing is not routinely recommended. But we do recommend if a teen ends up positive for chlamydia infection that they get tested for the other common STDs, which means gonorrhea, syphilis, and HIV. We don't recommend routine human papillomavirus (HPV) testing.
And of course, if your partner tests positive for an STD, you need to get yourself tested, as well.
How are STD tests done?
We have blood tests for HIV, syphilis, herpes, and hepatitis B. To be tested for chlamydia or gonorrhea, all the male needs to do is pee into a cup. A teenage girl can also pee into a cup. But if she has any kind of pelvic pain or discharge, then she needs to have a pelvic exam.
How are STDs treated?
There are different antibiotics for the treatable STDs, because the treatable STDs are all bacteria. Chlamydia is the most common STD. We typically use azithromycin (Zithromax), which can be given in a single dose [by mouth]. You can also take a drug called doxycycline for chlamydia. You have to take that twice a day for seven days. To treat gonorrhea, we recommend an injection of a drug called ceftriaxone. Syphilis is treated with an injection of penicillin.
Unfortunately for our viral STDs we don't have any treatments that cure them. If you become infected with herpes, that is a lifelong chronic viral infection. We can give people medication to decrease the symptoms, the severity of the symptoms, or the duration of the symptoms. The medication also decreases the amount of the virus that you shed, so it can make you less infectious.

It is very common that you catch the chlamydia from your previous partner or current partner. It is also possible that the infection came from your partner's previous partner. The more sexual partners you have the more chances that you will be infected.
First seen on: (http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Chlamydia/Pages/Diagnosis.aspx)
The only way to find out if you have chlamydia is to get tested. You can get tested whether or not you have symptoms.
What does the chlamydia test involve?
The recommended tests for chlamydia are simple, painless and generally very reliable.
They involve sending a sample of cells to a laboratory for analysis. You don't necessarily have to be examined by a doctor or nurse first and can often collect the sample yourself.
There are two main ways the sample can be collected:
- using a swab – a small cotton bud is gently wiped over the area that might be infected, such as inside the vagina or inside the anus
- urinating into a container – this should ideally be done after at least one or two hours since you last urinated
Men will usually be asked to provide a urine sample, while women will usually be asked to either swab inside their vagina or provide a urine sample.
The results will normally be available after 7 to 10 days. If there's a high chance you have chlamydia – for example, you have symptoms of the infection or your partner has been diagnosed with it and you've had unprotected sex with them – you might start treatment before you get your results.
When should I get tested?
Don't delay getting tested if you think you might have chlamydia. Being diagnosed and treated as soon as possible will reduce your risk of developing any serious complications of chlamydia.
You can get a chlamydia test at any time, although you might be advised to repeat the test later on if it was less than two weeks since you had sex as the infection might not always be found in the early stages.
You should consider getting tested for chlamydia if:
- you or your partner have any symptoms of chlamydia
- you've had unprotected sex with a new partner
- a condom splits while you're having sex
- you or your partner have had unprotected sex with other people
- you think you could have a sexually transmitted infection (STI)
- a sexual partner tells you they have an STI
- you're pregnant or planning a pregnancy
If you're under 25 years of age and sexually active, getting tested every year or when you change sexual partner is recommended because you're more likely to catch chlamydia.
Where can I get a chlamydia test?
You can get a free, confidential chlamydia test at:
- a sexual health clinic
- a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic
- your GP surgery
- most contraceptive clinics
You can go to whichever place is the most comfortable and convenient for you. Search for your nearest sexual health service and read about what happens at an STI clinic.
You can also buy chlamydia testing kits to do at home, but these aren't always very accurate. If you're considering using one of these tests, speak to your pharmacist or GP for advice.
Young people under 25 years of age can get tested as part of the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP). This is often in places such as pharmacies, colleges and youth centres.
In some areas, young people can order a postal testing kit online as part of the NCSP. Search for free online tests for under 25s to see if this is available in your area.
It is recommended to see  a doctor once a year and ask to be tested for chlamydia even if you don't feel any symptoms. Sexual health is an important aspect for overall health. You should protect yourself and your partner from getting these  kind of infection so it would be best to visit your healthcare provider as soon a possible.

""Can i get my medical insurance to pay for surgery to correct a covered surgery, if coverage lapsed meantime?""
In 2008 I had insurance in California, through my employer. I got laid off in June, but was on COBRA in Sept. 2008, when Blue Cross authorized me for gastric bypass surgery. In Oct 2009, owing to a dispute over COBRA payments, my insurance lapsed. As of Nov 1 I have no coverage, and new insurance through my wife's Kaiser won't start until Jan 1. Yesterday (Dec 23 09) I had to go to the ER due to abdominal pain that turned out to be a complication of the 2008 gastric bypass. Last night I had a CT scan and emergency surgery to correct the problem. Blue Cross rejected the claim, which of course makes sense and pushing it through was just a formality anyway. But today I wondered if, since the procedure was covered originally, would surgery to correct a complication be covered by law even if my insurance lapsed? I know I'm grasping at straws here, but it seems like it might be worth a consultation with an attorney to find out. I think this surgery is going to run to $40K or more. It was a simple laproscopic procedure, but y'know nothing's cheap. The original bypass was billed to Blue Cross at $38K. I know it's not like defect liability, since a surgeon can't guarantee there will not be complications. Also, I know I can't expect free legal advice here. But if someone knows for sure or has thoughts one way or the other would be helpful.""

Retroactive auto insurance premium?

My question is in regards to the repairs, I feel that since this is 100% the other party's fault and since I am the person who has to drive the car that I am entitled to the maximum premium in repairs. I have been reading on Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) and most will say that its the cheap way of making a repair. Does anyone know if it would be possible to go back and get a new estimate/settlement for a new rear quarter panel? Basically my logic is this, if you damage any of my property it should be 100% my call if I want to settle for a compromise or not.""

I need to find new insurance by March of next year...?
because the insurance I'm under now (TriCare) runs out when I turn 21. Problem is: I have bipolar 2 disorder. Not severe enough for SSDI or anything, but debilitating enough that I need medication to fix it. My meds without insurance total nearly a GRAND a month, not including psychiatrist and therapist visits, about twice a month. Even worse, I only work about 20 hours a week at $8 an hour, so I don't make enough money to AFFORD most types of insurance. But like I said, I don't qualify for disability either. Do you know of any health insurance programs that would be affordable enough for my budget, yet cover my expenses? I've searched sites for weeks and haven't come up with much. Any help will be appreciated! Oh yeah, and I like in Iowa, US - I know that makes a difference.""

Zithromax, the most effective treatment that will make bacteria go away
Tumblr media
Bacterial diseases happen to people way more often than they can notice. However, it is really important to find the most reliable medicine for treating them, and in this article we will be talking about one of the anti-bacteria medications that will lend you a helping hand in the battle against these illnesses. This medication is called Zithromax, sometimes referred to as Azithromycin.
It can be used for the different kinds of bacterial diseases you need to treat. Some of the most common uses of this preparation is pneumonia, step throat, skin and ear infections, respiratory disorders, intestinal issues, and diseases that are transmitted sexually. If you are struggling with anything related to these issues, you will have to ask your health care advisor about the relevance of taking the drug in these situations.
In this medical guide, you will learn the most important information about Zithromax, regarding the usage, the contraindications, and side effects.
Apart from everything else, you will find out why most of the drug customers buy Zithromax from RXShop.md online pharmacy instead of going to their local medical stores.
What do I have to know first before the usage of Zithromax?
Zithromax is supposed to be taken daily, and the medicament’s sole purpose is the treatment of various types of bacterial disorders that you have been affected with. Of course, this medicine is proved to be trustworthy, but not everyone can safely consume it regularly. For some people, it can be harmful, and it depends on their current and past history of illnesses.
There are some major contraindications that you should necessarily be aware of if you have decided to take Zithromax on a regular basis. The most important precaution would probably be the existence of allergic reactions to azithromycin, the component of this preparation. The allergies can really give you a lot of trouble, including breathing problems, skin reactions, hives and other unpleasant things. If you have ever had kidney and liver issues, jaundice, heartbeat rhythm disorder and myasthenia gravis, this drug probably is not for you and could potentially harm you.
The patients need to be aware of the level of potassium in their blood, because low levels of potassium can be potentially dangerous. Also, it would be especially beneficial to find out if any of your family members have had a long QT syndrome. A large emphasis is put on pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers – if this is your case, you should not hide these facts from the doctor. Also, giving the medicine to a child younger than six months old is highly not recommended. Other than that, you should probably be safe, even though any issues have to be instantly reported to the medical provider.
If you have got your medical treatment with Zithromax officially approved by the professional medical care provider, you can start thinking about getting your drug. The best way to order Zithromax would be purchasing it from RXShop.md online pharmacy. If you want to know why they are so beneficial, here are some reasons: the internet pharmaceutical stores are cheaper than the regular local ones, the delivery will be quick and right to your place, and you have a chance to get good discounts from the website. The drug is constantly available at RXShop.md online pharmacy, unlike the local shops. So, you can stop wasting your time and energy browsing your regular pharmacies, and purchase your medication in a few clicks online.
How to take the Zithromax medication without problems
Some primary information should be memorized before you turn to taking your medicaments all the time. Your medical provider should be giving you the main instructions on the drug usage, and your duty is to remember and fulfill them all. Your dosage is not stable – it is different for each infection, so you should agree on it with the doctor. The medicine comes in a liquid form, so you should use syringe, measuring cup or spoon to measure your doses accurately.
Do not forget to shake up your bottle before you use it. The drug has to be necessarily taken during the exact length of time that your doctor has prescribed – sometimes you can see and feel the improvement before you completely got rid of the infectious disease. Skipping doses is not desirable, because it can make the bacteria resist. So, in case you often forget about taking meds, you have to set a reliable reminder. Using Zithromax for usual infections like cold or flu is not recommended – better use different drugs for it.
The medication has to be stored away from heat and moisture, and never shared with the others. Throw away any medicaments that have been left without use for longer than ten days. This preparation quickly becomes outdated and does not give you as much effect. If you have missed a dose for a reason, make up for it when you remember, but never take extra medicine.
You should take into account that Zithromax is conflicting with the antacid medicines that contain aluminum and magnesium, as soon as they are taken within two hours before or after you take Zithromax – they can decrease the effect. If you take them earlier or later, it is safe. In case you have been struggling with diarrhea, inform your health provider to get some additional treatment.
What are the side issues?
Like every drug, Zithromax has common side effects, which are nausea, vomiting, headache and stomach pains. Sometimes you can experience more severe discomfort, which in some cases leads to kidney issues or serious allergies. For example, it can be really intense stomach pains, water or bloody diarrhea, heartbeat disorders, dizziness. If you are allergic, you can get skin reactions, swelling, hives, and trouble breathing. In these situations seek medical help as soon as you are able to, before your treatment led to the unexpected outcome.

Did you Know? Chlamydia is not often tested in teens
The article Did you Know? Chlamydia is not often tested in teens was first seen on: http://ift.tt/1PsAUW0

First seen on: (http://ift.tt/29fVbfM)
