Total Parotidectomy Surgery India with the best ENT Surgeon in Indian Hospital.
Mr. Dennis Maajin, who have been battling with a huge parotid gland tumour from years have been apprehensive about getting it removed as he was not sure if his facial nerves will be protected or not after the surgery, if not, this could have led to a permanent paralysis of his face. So his apprehension was well justified. With a lot of courage and support from his father, he now began to hunt for the best ENT surgeons in India and that is when he came in touch with us. He shared the reports with us which were reviewed by Dr Yatin Sethi, Sr Consultant ENT Surgeon, Venkateshwar Hospital in New Delhi. He advised for a total parotidectomy surgery for Mr. Dennis and we conveyed the same to him.
Now was the time for them to make a decision and plan their travel to India for a total parotidectomy surgery in India. We shared the visa invite to them and got the ball rolling; they got their visa in 4 days, thanks to the Indian embassy in Abuja. They travelled to India after 2 days, we arranged for their stay in our guest house and they were in the hospital the next day. We arranged for the appointment with Dr Yatin Sethi and he prescribed some investigations to be done before giving a go ahead for a Total Parotidectomy Surgery. After the investigation, Dennis was admitted in the hospital the next day and underwent the surgery. The surgery was a success, doctor had to perform a small procedure to protect the facial nerve after the total parotidectomy surgery and that was a success too.
A procedure where the surgeon removes the parotid lump is called a total parotidectomy surgery. It is done for tumors of the Parotid Gland and occasionally for recurrent infections of the gland. For benign and low grade malignant tumors, surgery is usually curative without any need for additional therapy. For other malignant tumors, surgery is usually followed by radiation therapy. Occasionally, benign or low-grade malignant tumors that have recurred are treated with total parotidectomy and radiation therapy. This involves removing either part or all of the Parotid Gland. The operation is usually performed under a general anesthesia, which means that you will be asleep throughout the procedure. A skin incision is made, which runs from the front of the ear curving towards the back of the ear just to the level of the hair line. Most surgeons differ in making the skin cut and tend to extend the cut into the neck. This is nearly the same incision as that used in face-lift surgery and has excellent cosmetic results. At the end of the operation a small drain is placed through the skin to facilitate drainage of blood and tissue fluids. The skin cut is closed with stitches and the drain is removed in 24-48 hours, when you will be able to go home. Stitches will be removed usually after 6 days.

Why Should You Visit The Ear, Nose, And Throat Specialist?
Introduction
ENT specialists specialize in managing the diseases involving the ear, nose, and throat. If you have any condition related to these organs, visit an ENT specialist. Do not let the condition go so severe that you require to visit urgent care to manage it.
Who Is ENT Specialist?
ENT refers to Ear, Nose, and Throat. The doctors who are specialized in diagnosing and treating the conditions related to the ear, nose, and throat are the ENT specialists. These specialists are experts in managing diseases such as ear infection, cancers of the ear, nose, or throat, nasal congestion, speech problems, and various other conditions. These specialists are also known as otolaryngologists. These specialists have undergone intensive training in diagnosing and treating these diseases both in adults and children.
Why Should You Stop Your Habit Of Visiting Urgent Care Department For ENT Diseases?
The urgent care department or emergency department is a department that caters to the conditions that suddenly emerge. These are acute conditions. Examples of these conditions are severe stomach ache, heart problems, respiratory problems, and trauma. This department is not for the conditions that are chronic and progresses because you postpone your appointment with your doctor due to various reasons.
People normally believe that if their disease progresses, they will visit the emergency department for urgent care. This attitude causes two problems. First, delay in treatment may result in disease progression that then requires an aggressive treatment strategy. Second, the doctors in the urgent care department may not be a specialist. They are trained in managing the disease and relieve symptoms at that particular point. This means they are not treating the disease, rather managing the symptoms. There are high chances that your symptoms recur a few months after the treatment. Thus, it is prudent to go to a specialist when you first experience the symptoms.
Why Should You Visit Ent Specialist?
People prefer to go to urgent care even for their ENT problems. The primary reason for this is the immediate relief from symptoms. Further, visiting an ENT specialist requires a referral from a doctor, which is a time-consuming process. However, you should avoid visiting urgent care more frequently, especially for the diseases that may have managed, provided you should visit your ENT specialist more regularly.
It is important to note that most of the urgent care visits are for ENT diseases. People visit an urgent care for diseases such as ear infection, sinus infection, dizziness, and other disorders. For instance, if you visit the urgent care for your sinus infection. The doctor at urgent care will prescribe you the antibiotics as standard therapy for infection. However, you may have a recurrence of infection because the urgent care doctor might not identify the cause of the infection.
If you visit the ENT specialist, he will diagnose the condition with various diagnostic techniques. Further, the specialist has various treatment options that are customized based on the condition of the patient. Further, the ENT specialist may also perform some non-invasive procedures such as balloon sinuplasty. So, next time if you have any ENT problems, don’t ignore or avoid a doctor visit. Manage the condition before it gets severe.
What Are The Various Ent Issues?
Following are some of the ENT conditions that require expert’s intervention:
Hearing loss
Gastric reflux
