Roadside Garages Kia Coleraine, in County Londonderry, is delighted to announce the renewal of its partnership with top motorcycle road racer and Ballymoney resident Michael Dunlop for the ninth year in succession. With only 76 days until North West 200 week and 97 days until The Isle of Man TT, we’re certainly hoping that he’ll add further to his existing tally of 25 Isle of Man TT Wins. Just 48 hours ago, Michael was crowned Motorcycle News’ Rider of the Year 2023 beating five other riders to claim the MCN award. Michael secured 50% of all votes the publication received despite the prestige of the other nominees, including: 2023 Bennetts British Superbike Champion Tommy Bridewell; fellow TT star Peter Hickman; World Superbike Champion Alvaro Bautista; MotoGP World Champion Pecco Bagnaia; and Britain’s Moto2 star Jake Dixon. Dunlop won four races at last year’s Isle of Man TT, overtaking 23-time TT race winner John McGuinness as the ‘greatest living TT racer’. Perhaps more importantly, Michael is now just one win short of the all-time record of 26 wins, which is held by his uncle Joey Dunlop. At the TT, Dunlop was the fastest man during practice week and went on to stand on the top step of the podium in the Superbike race, both Supersport events and one of the Supertwin races. In the Supersport class, Dunlop recorded the first-ever +130mph average lap speed aboard his Yamaha R6 – built and prepared by his own team. Roadside Garages Kia, already well known for its involvement in local charity, community, sport and road racing events, is the perfect fit to sponsor Michael as he once again embarks on a season of international road racing. A King Of The Baggers sorozatnak hamarosan útlevélre lehet szüksége, ugyanis a brit Superbike bajnokság promótere "promóciós partnere" lett a KOTB-nak Európában. Feltételezzük, hogy ez egy közelgő brit vagy európai bajnokságot sejtet, de az alábbi sajtóközlemény nem szolgál részletekkel. Azt is tudjuk, hogy a MotoGP világbajnokság promótere, a Dorna érdekelt abban, hogy a 2024-es szezonban a KOTB-t támogató futamként használja, valószínűleg a Circuit of the Americas texasi fordulóján. King Of The Baggers Európában A MotoAmerica, Észak-Amerika első számú közúti motorkerékpárverseny-sorozata és a MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR), a Bennetts British Superbike Series promótere megállapodást kötött, amelynek értelmében az MSVR lesz a MotoAmerica King Of The Baggers sorozat európai promóciós partnere. A rendkívül népszerű MotoAmerica King Of The Baggers bajnokság valóban nem hasonlít semmi máshoz, mivel az amerikai gyártmányú Harley-Davidson és Indian V-twin túramotorok nagymértékben átalakított motorjai szerepelnek benne. A feltörekvő osztály 2020-ban indult a MotoAmerica sorozatban, egy egyszeri meghívásos versenyen a WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca versenypályán. München/Assen. Start frei zum spannenden Finale des ADAC Junior Cup powered by KTM 2018. Die Nachwuchstalente kämpfen am kommenden Wochenende (28. – 30. September) im niederländischen Assen im Rahmen der Bennetts British Superbike Championship (BSB) in zwei Rennen um die letzten Punkte des Jahres und damit um den begehrten Meistertitel des ADAC Junior Cup powered by KTM.

Dabei haben insgesamt neun Fahrer noch die Chance auf den Titel, allen voran David Kuban (16, CZE), der die Gesamtwertung mit 107 Punkten knapp anführt. “Ich mag die Strecke in Assen sehr und hoffe, dass ich wieder auf dem Podium landen kann, damit ich am Ende die Möglichkeit habe, unter den ersten Zwei der Gesamtwertung zu landen. Ich werde alles dafür geben zu gewinnen, aber ich weiß, dass ich dafür hart arbeiten muss und dass uns das Wetter in Assen sicherlich überraschen kann”, erklärt er.

Kubans Verfolger liegen ihm dabei dicht auf den Fersen. Artem Maraev (15, RUS) belegt in der Tabelle den zweiten Rang und hat nur sechs Zähler weniger auf seinem Konto. Der russische ADAC Junior Cup powered by KTM-Neuling ist hoch motiviert, am Wochenende die größte Trophäe mit nach Hause zu nehmen. “Assen ist meine Lieblingsstrecke! Dort gibt es keine lange Gerade, der Kurs ist sehr flüssig und das liegt mir. Ich will unbedingt gewinnen”, formuliert er seine Kampfansage.

Die Verfolgergruppe der Top-2 wird derweilen von Alan Kroh (14, GER) mit 86 Punkten angeführt. Direkt dahinter liegt Vasilis Koronakis (20, GRE) mit 80 Punkten auf dem vierten Platz der Gesamtwertung, nur knapp vor Aaron Schäfer (16, Schorndorf-Buhlbronn) mit 76, Noah Lequeux (15, BEL) mit 72 und Lennox Lehmann (12, Dresden) mit 71 Punkten. Da in zwei Rennen noch 50 Zähler vergeben werden, haben auch Justin Hänse (15, Harth-Pöllnitz) mit 60 Punkten und Alexandr Vasyliev (15, RUS) mit 58 Punkten noch eine Chance auf den Gesamtsieg.

Die Punktejagd beginnt am Freitag um 16:00 Uhr mit dem ersten 30-minütigen Qualifying, bevor am Samstag um 12:15 Uhr das zweite Zeittraining beginnt. Beide Sessions entscheiden über die Startaufstellung zum ersten Rennen am Sonntag um 9:45 Uhr. Laut BSB-Reglement legen die schnellsten Runden im ersten Lauf die Startaufstellung für das zweite Rennen am Sonntag um 15:40 Uhr fest.
