Motive Studio To Work On Battlefield As Iron Man Game Hits 'Major Internal Milestone'

Motive Studio, the EA team behind last year’s Dead Space remake and its in-development Iron Man game, has revealed it is forming a new internal team to support the Battlefield franchise. Motive will help develop future Battlefield experiences as it continues to work on its Iron Man game with Marvel, which it says has hit a “major internal milestone.” 

This news comes from a new blog post by Motive’s general manager, Patrick Klaus, where he also reveals the directors behind the studio’s Dead Space remake – executive producer Philippe Ducharme and creative director Roman Campos-Oriola – will build a new team to work alongside EA’s Battlefield studios.

“Their proven expertise in storytelling, immersive battles, and developing on the Frostbite engine uniquely positions them to help advance the vision for Battlefield, led by Vince Zampella (EVP, group general manager for Respawn and Battlefield) and Byron Beede (SVP, general manager for Battlefield). 

“In parallel, development continues to move forward on our Iron Man project, led by Olivier Proulx (executive producer) and Ian Frazier (creative director). The team made excellent progress this year, hitting a major internal milestone and laying a robust foundation for the journey ahead. Iron Man is an important priority for Motive, and I’m very proud of the work we’ve accomplished so far.” 

Motive will work with other EA studios like Criterion, DICE, and Ripple Effect to further expand the company’s Battlefield franchise, which saw its last entry, Battlefield 2042, released in 2021. In 2022, we learned the next Battlefield game had entered pre-production with plans to take “valuable lessons” learned from Battlefield 2042 into the game’s development.

It was another day of you being all alone at home. Chan has been gone for the whole day, saying he needs to be at the studio with Jisung and Changbin to produce some music. What you didn't know was he prepared something for you. Since it was your two-year-anniversary today, he wanted to make you a special gift.

You sat on the couch alone, zapping through the TV channels and looking through your social medias. Since Chan hasn't written or called you, you decided to write him a short message.

"Chan? When are you coming home.? It's our two-year-anniversary and you have nothing to do than to spend it with Jisung and Changbin."

You pressed the 'send' button and realised that some tears started streaming down your face. Am I not good enough anymore? Does he even love me? Your thoughts made you nearly go insane. You loved him from the bottom of your heart but sometimes it felt like he doesn't give the same feeling to you, especially when there are special occasions like this.

Soon after, your phone buzzed and you saw Chan's name popping up on the screen. You quickly answered his incoming call. "Chan when will yo-" "I'll be home in an hour. Please prepare food so that we can eat together when I'm home." he said. Your eyes lit up when you heard him. "Okay! I miss you." Your voice sounded sadder than you expected. Chan could hear the sadness in your voice. "I promise I'll be there in exact an hour. I miss you too." he said and you two bid goodbye.

You stood up, went to the kitchen and started preparing the food. You decided that, since it's your two-year-anniversary, you would make his favorite food. You cut some vegetables and some meat. After you finished everything, you grabbed a glass and filled it with water. I'm curious if he forgot. And if not, I'm curious to what he will have as a gift., you thought. You headed back to the living room but decided to go upstairs and dress up a little for Chan. As you went upstairs you thought about what to wear. He always said that you looked the most stunning in your red dress. It was a flowy one because you yourself didn't like those skin-tight dresses. You had a beautiful body, you didn't deny that but you just felt uncomfortable in those. This red flowy dress, Chan loved so much had a lace top with with beeded flowers on it. It was singed in a little at the waist and went flowy at the bottom. It had a lot of layers at the bottom and the top layer was a continuation of the top half of the dress. 

You got to your wardrobe and looked for your red dress. You took it out of the wardrobe and quickly went to get changed. After you had put the dress on you looked into the mirror. You could totally understand why Chan is so drawn to that dress. You were just in love with that dress. You put on some jewelry and went back downstairs. You sat on the couch for just a few more minutes before you could hear keys being inserted and the front door being unlocked. You quickly stood up and went to the kitchen. "Baby, I'm home." Chan somewhat yelled. "I'm in the kitchen." you exclaimed and he quickly came over to you. When he saw you in that beautiful dress of yours, he came to a hold. "You look beautiful." Chan said coming closer to you. He casually laid his hands on your waist. It always send shivers down your spine when he did that. He stood close to you and looked you directly in your eyes. He then saw that your eyes were a little red. "Did you cry?" he asked in a soft voice. You looked to the ground, too embarrassed to look at him. You slightly nodded and Chan instantly embraced you in a tight hug. You instantly gave into the hug and laid your arms around his neck. "I don't know. I thought you didn't remember our two-year-anniversary." Now that you said it out loud it sounded stupid and you wanted to facepalm yourself for thinking that and even writing a message to Chan about that. Chan pulled away a little and looked you directly in the eyes. His eyes were this beautiful chocolate brown in which you got lost as soon as you looked into them. He brushed some hair strands out of you face and cupped your face with both of his hands. "Don't ever think such a thing again." he just said before pressing his soft lips onto yours. The butterflies in your belly started going crazy. He pulled away. "What's for dinner, princess?" he asked. "I made your favorite food." you answered. "Shall we eat?" you added. He nodded and both of you went to grab some plates and food.

After you finished your food, he stood up and put your plates in the sink. After he came back, he looked at you. "Let's go to the living room. I have something prepared for you." You looked at him and did as he said. You two went to the living room and then sat down on the couch. "Wait here. I'll be back in a second." he said and went upstairs taking all of his bags with him. After a short while, he came back but he was out of your sight. "Close your eyes." he said and you did. Soon after you could hear the sounds of his ukulele playing and Chan started singing. A smile was formed on your lips as your listened to him singing.

After he finished, you opened your eyes to be met with Chan right in front of you. "Happy two-year-anniversary, Y/N." he said and placed another soft kiss on your lips. "Is this why you were in the studio all day and the past two days?" you said with tears of joy in your eyes. He nodded and put away his ukulele. Then Chan fiddled in the pocket of his jacket and grabbed a little box. Your eyes widened at the sight of this box. "Y/N. You know I love you from the bottom of my heart. I came to the conclusion that there will never be another girl I would love as much as I love you. So…" he paused and opened the box. You were met with a cute little ring. Your eyes got watery. Is he really proposing to me right now??, you thought. "... Will you marry me?" he continued. He looked at you with anticipation. You didn't know what to say or how to react. You started crying. Then you hugged him and shortly after, you pulled away. "I- Yes, I do." you said placing a loving and deep kiss onto his lips. You could feel a smile form on his lips which also made you smile. 

"I love you." you said. 

"I love you, too, princess." he said and gave you another kiss. "Happy Two-Year-Anniversary." he added.

Taking a portrait alongside your favorite feline is no easy task. Cats are notoriously (but delightfully) finicky about following directions, so getting one to sit still for a portrait can be a tall order. Despite that, our collections contain many examples of people posing with their cats – or at least attempting to do so!

Aviator John Moisant took his cat with him everywhere – including when he became the first pilot to fly with a passenger over the English Channel in 1910. Technically, he had two passengers – his mechanic and his feline friend, Mademoiselle Fifi, pictured below!

Photographer Arnold Genthe named all of his cats Buzzer, a reference to their deep purr, which he enjoyed. He had at least four Buzzers in his life! While I haven’t yet come across a photo of Genthe himself with Buzzer, the various incarnations posed with many of the famous subjects of Genthe, such as actress Daisy King, below. (This is likely a very relaxed Buzzer IV.)

And perhaps saving my favorites for last, enjoy a series of photographs of a Mrs. Emmons attempting to pose with her white cat, with varying levels of success. The photographs come from the collection of photographer C.M. Bell’s Washington, D.C., studio, so we have the successes as well as the “outtakes” of some portrait sessions. I included a fourth photo of just the cat, as perhaps Mrs. Emmons had reached her limit at that point!

PhotHolly and John - Sunny Bridlington Beach/Sledemere house Wedding

Back in March I had the pleasure of filming Holly and Johns wonderfully sunny wedding.

I spent the morning filming the bride and bridesmaids getting ready at the mother of the brides family home. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, the ladies were a pleasure to be around.

I managed to get some fantastic footage of the father of the bride seeing his daughter in his wedding dress for the first time and really captured the emotions.

After a wonderful ceremony at Bempton church we were off to the beach!

It was great fun to go to Bridlington Beach and made for some fantastic footage.

The reception was held at Sledemere House Barn where guests enjoyed fish and chips, bowling and of course dancing.

I recorded great footage of the first dance in which you can really tell that Holly and John make each other laugh and love each other so much.

They enjoyed a great night with their family and friends and I hope this comes across in their wedding video.
