☆ THE POETS AT THE AIRPORT ☆

CHARLIE: trying WAY too hard to be everyone's airport crush. has to be dragged out of the liquor section of the duty free shop ("but the vodka is so CHEAP"). plays a game of "trying to sneak as many metal objects past the security check as possible". when he gets a pat down he keeps wiggling his eyebrows and saying some variant of "wow no you're wayy too old for me" to the security guy (who's probably considering quitting his job). is secretly terrified of flying but tries not to let it show (grips neil's hand so hard it hurts when they take off)

TODD: literally a ball of pure anxiety in the beginning of it. SO scared he overpacked, he's constantly talking about what if his suitcase is too heavy and he has to empty it out and everyone in the queue will be watching him and GOD HE HATES AIRPORTS. calms down a bit after the security check (totally panics about what if he accidentally put a gun down his pants or something and doesn't remember), and then just chills in the perfume area of the duty free shop, trying all the scents. buys loads of snacks because you never know if the place you're going to has the good ones. tries not to think about the possibility of the plane crashing. likes watching the clouds.

NEIL: A literal kid. Is the one who ACTUALLY overpacked, and runs around with his suitcase (he'd totally sit down on it and ride it around if that was socially acceptable). spends like an hour in the shops and is suddenly convinced he needs to buy a lot of unnecessary stuff. BUT goes into airport dad mode as soon as he needs to, he has all the tickets and keeps reminding everyone of having their passports ready, he knows the gate number etc. takes the lead and gets them to the plane safely.

KNOX: has like an hour long "in case i die on the plane" video ready for chris, and they have a long phone call to say good bye (interrupted when charlie gets into a fight with a security guard - "c'mon dude, who's side are you on, the government?? like being a small little guy in power??" "Sir I'm going to repeat it one more time, I need you to take off that belt please."). if knox wasn't dating chris, he'd totally be looking at all the cute girls at the airport for like two seconds and trying to telepathically tell them they're cute (relatable, not gonna lie). Is so polite and charming to all the staff that it's on the verge of being funny, Pittsie teasing him about really being the perfect son in law. Honestly just a very chilled flyer, he has fun.

PITTS: has even more fun. has like an extra bag full of snacks that everyone makes fun of and then obviously wants some of later (pittsie gives them some because he's a bro, but they have to swear that he's the best and will get the front seat of every car they'll ride). TOTALLY has one of those inflatable neck cushions. the security guy comments on how tall he is mainly to make conversation, but pittsie is still proud of it (i think i mentioned my headcanons about pitts' relationships with his height? or did i never publish them?) and smiles for the next minute. reads the on-flight magazine. super excited at take off, he's like LET'S GOOOO while todd and charlie are on the verge of crying. freaks out about omg I forgot my passport (neil took it from him one second ago). fun facts about planes!!

MEEKS: the chillest. tries to calm todd down by telling him statistics and all that about the narrow chances of dying on a plane until charlie snaps and is like SHUT UP OH MY GOD ("'kay sir" 🫡😳). nerds out about planes with pittsie! has WAY too many tags on his bags in case they get lost. tells really bad airport puns that pittsie thinks are HILARIOUS. spends the wait by just sitting in a café and drinking way too much coffee. ONLY buys one teeny tiny little bag of m&ms and then eats like half of pittsies snacks. sits more comfortably than pitts because his legs are shorter and don't get cramped and DEFINITELY teases him about it like 'hmm i don't know what you mean, there's plenty of leg room!"

CAMERON: really excited for the flight, loves the whole experience. printed out everything twice just in case!! all his liquid items are in these little plastic bags that no one ever uses (or maybe y'all are just better than me). eats SO much beforehand to save money because the airport prices are ridiculous. runs to the gate like three times to check it hasn't been changed. has the craziest methods to keep his ears from popping.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

This one's tough because I'm a sucker for happy endings so I try and drive the characters towards them (or towards some semblance of them), but I guess either The Longing Will Outlive or Where All Things Are Silent because I like my Brutalia angsty with a side of emotional hurt.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

All That Remains but because it was my take on Damian and Dick trying to reach out to each other when they first started as Batman and Robin, I'd say the ending is more hopeful than happy, but also considering who we're talking about, that's about as close to happy as they'll get probably

Not really, or if there is any, I've never seen it (and I'm happy to leave it that way!)

I honestly have no idea. I'd like to say descriptions and metaphors, because those are the things that draw me to other people's works, so I'd love to think that I have a similar strength.

Oh too many to count!! The worst is probably that I can't sit down to write unless my brain thinks I'm in the Goldilocks-zone for writing, which occurs pretty infrequently, because my brain also likes to keep handing me new goalposts to determine the 'perfect' time.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

For languages I speak, as a reader, it breaks my immersion completely when there's a language-switch in the fic unless it's something I expected from the start. I have a similar problem as a writer too, since translating in your brain quick enough to keep ahold of dialogue ideas is a real pain, so I try and avoid it as far as possible.

Batfam, because I looked at the thousands upon thousands of comics they have available and I thought 'hmm..my blorbos need to appear in more content'

Oh boy...probably Infinity Times Infinity Times Infinity because I wrote it in a series of perfect afternoons and it's the fic that made me happiest after I finished (although I have been informed that the fic itself is a tear-jerker)

OH BTW watched catu today :] i havent seen it since it first came out in 2019 and id forgotten almost everything about it since then! i was worried it was gonna be mediocre, i know there's plenty of folks who weren't too keen on it, but i really liked it! not as much as the 2nd dimension, but it was definitely a fun time.

rather than the like, more Movie type experience that 2d or notlp have, catu felt more like just a looong episode of pnf. id mostly just say it was fun! i do love stuff like 2d/notlp where the drama is heightened and things get more on the serious side, but the "just slightly more dramatic than your typical pnf episode" isn't a bad place to be for a pnf movie.

i have a couple gripes for sure- i don't think many of the songs were up to the usual caliber, ferb had too many voice lines, and some bits were wayy too drawn out.. i'm glad ferb was more involved but i think if he talks too much to do that you really lose his ferbiness :( there were jokey lines where you definitely couldve replaced him talking with something else and it'd work just as well. i adore ferb, he doesnt need to talk to be involved!!

that said, i really like the art. they had fun with angles and a lot more fun than usual with character expressions which i really appreciate, it was all very good to look at. and the action-type animation has DEFINITELY improved a lot- actiony scenes from stuff like the 2d movie always had a certain awkwardness to them that was not present here. the lineart was a bit thicker and i think the way they did the lineart coloring was slightly different? the differences were, like, small enough to be hard to pinpoint but distracting because i'm very familiar with regular pnf. so, not something bad, just different and throwing me off because of it.

the writing also felt, for the most part, on point. there were a lot of super funny lines and good bits. and i enjoyed candace's story! i'm an older sister, and the difference between my & my little sister's age is just about the same as that between candace and p&f (depending on which episode's timeline you reference..) and a lot of her emotional development in the movie rang very true to shitty-teen me, my conception of my self-worth back then, and how my relationship with my little sister changed as we both got older.

overall i liked it and it makes me very excited for the new seasons :]

as always cbmthy is so good and i'm so happy reader finally had some good moments with bas and that azriel was finally not being a complete dick. i just need her to keep her toes straight in her shoes now like girl he just smiled please breathe. this is worse to read knowing he can tell all her reactions to him. but i actually like bas, he seems good for her but im scared he might have ulterior motives, az not liking him could be just jealousy or whatever makes him always assume reader is doing something wrong but it could also be his spymaster senses tingling so idk

i didnt expect her to tell azriel about her powers like this honestly but i wish he didn't go full spymaster mode when he heard, he could have at least told "that's cool" or something. and he needs to stop talking to her like a child, boy you had your fingers inside her a month ago please stop. also reading the whole book through just to make sure is wayy too far, i wonder if the ic know he's treating her like this, even rhys would probably think it's too far. but her telling her him about her very important powers and her brain was just going "dick dick dick dick" was so funny. like i kinda get it, being locked in a room with azriel sounds amazing but i still need her to get it together (ik she has a massive praise kink though, good for her me too). im intrigued to see what will happen after the fortnight passes. will she figure something out or tell them or will azriel end up telling them? what if az tells them before the fortnight passes? i'll stab him with truth teller actually.

azriel not even knowing she liked science or that the orrery was hers is such a bitter reminder that he does not give a fuck about her, like his shadows have to have told him something. he gets on my nerves but i think we did see regular az a bit more in this chapter and that gives me hope. especially when he laughed when she said she slapped eris, that's my az but then she kinda ruined it by staring (and im kind of with az on this one because as much as i dont want him to be an asshole to her, every time he's nice she goes crazy and ik that's uncomfortable from personal experience)

also the book at the end is eris isn't it? im excited to see what they get up to, it's also very funny that azriel went through all that trouble and eris still got to her. and now she's not going to tell him about it because he's an asshole, that's what you get 🤷‍♀️

El gets really excited to go to the grocery.

We just moved here a couple weeks ago and she wayy happier than before. She still feels like a stranger to me but I already feel like the house would be emptier if I woke up and couldn't hear her breath. Maybe I'll try and talk to her again later.

Now, my mom is about to go get groceries, which she usually sends Jonathan to do but he's off with Argyle doing who knows what in who knows where. El probably hasn't left Mom's side since we moved. She was in the front seat when Mom drove us and the back when Jonathan did. Sometimes I see them laughing and I don't know what about. I'm actually kind of glad that El likes the attention since I can pretty much do what I want. I should have expected this though, since she seems to like taking Mike's time too.

But back again to the store. El likes girly pretty stuff and being outdoors and building things. I couldn't possibly imagine what she wants in the frigid, white, local grocery. I don't like it there much, I feel like I'm trapped in the impersonal chain store so unlike at home. I mean, Hawkins. The grocery is not like my second house here, it's like a maze. A cold one. Bright. Like I'm a lab rat.

So you can imagine my surprise when El takes every opportunity to go. She's like a magnet, attached to My Mom. But more than that, she always wants to get out of the house. If I were her, I don't think I'd ever leave my room. Maybe I just think that because I don't leave my room. El is always active, doing things, packing things, unpacking things, whatever.

So today, out of curiosity, when My Mom asked if El wanted to go shopping, I volunteered too. Whatever. The three of us can probably cut through the list pretty quickly and I can get back home to... wallow or something. It's not a big deal, is the point.

My Mom pushes the cart, every so often checking the list again as of the items changed. I ask if I can read them instead. El reminds me of a hummingbird, the great and blue wings of the scrunchies on her wrists flitting up and down as El flies through the aisle, probably touching everything on the shelves.

At some point My Mom goes off to the pharmacy section for anxiety meds or tampons or something. All I know is that I'm left with her. El. In the freezer section.

She brings me two packages of chicken from a freezer and asks me which one she should put in the cart I now have. "I'm.. not very good at math." She says. Honestly, neither am I. I'm decent, but it's easier when Lucas does it with me, or Mike. Mike isn't here, I'm not with him. I bet Mike would help El with her math if he was here. I bet he would positively light up at the chance to help El. I'm looking at the two packages, straining to read the prices, but the cold freezers aren't helping. We're in the freezer section.

The left package definitely costs less, but Mom'll have to get two of them. I can multiply the first part quickly enough, but the cent number is 59. We're in the freezer section. I'm in the freezer section. El is...

El is staring at one of the displays, crouched down and standing on her toes like a frog. Don't think about Mike. Don't think about the hum of the freezers. What is she doing? What *is* she doing?

"El,"

"There's chocolate ones?" She looks up at me, blushing from the cold. We're in the freezer section and it's COLD.

I look at the freezer in front of her. There's classic Eggos and chocolate chip ones. I don't hear what she says next even though we're painfully alone, but the freezer hum seems to have been materializing and slowly filling my ears, my lungs. The condensation freezing between my muscles until I can't move. Eggos.

"Sorry, what?" I ask.

"Do you think since we were good and got the chicken, I can have the chocolate waffles?" El looks genuinely concerned. I honestly melt on the spot. She HAS to know that sounds insane, right? There just waffles. I mean, she was living under a kind of rock until like a month ago, but still.

"Um.. I don't think it makes a difference. Just pick one" is all I can manage.

I don't see which one she grabs as I'm tossing one of the chickens into the cart. I check the list and it's all we need. Finally I can get out of here. El materializes beside me, relieved. We leave the freezer section. It didn't occur to me that she might hate it as much as I do and was just sticking it out. I bet she's had to do that alot. Probably earn the right to have nice things too, which explains the eggo thing. She's probably glad Mom lets her go outside or down to the mall without having to ask anyone unless she wants money or company. I look down and see she got the regular.

When we meet our mom at the register, I wave to show where we are. She places her box in the cart and we wait in line. I glance back at the yellow box and I'm hit with a pang of guilt.

"Mom, I forgot something, I'll be right back."

She squeezes my arm and I'm off, trusting my feet more than my mind to take me back to Freezer Hell. My legs walk, almost automated as my mind screams DANGER when it probably shouldn't. It's fine, it's whatever.

As I open the freezer door, I can barely feel the cold, it doesn't bite any worse than my spite does. El deserves nice things. El shouldn't have to earn them in the first place, but she deserves to know that she is loved, regardless. Even if an equally-priced, virtually identical waffle is by some stretch of the imagination what it takes to get there. Even if I thought the invincible girl with the best boyfriend couldn't possibly need it.

I find myself at the register, placing the extra box on the belt before I even realize. I don't see El's expression.

As we're walking back to the car, El takes slow steps, spinning in little circles. It hits me that these weeks after leaving Hawkins are probably the first time she's been allowed to go places.

So when I open the car door, I scoot to the far side of the bench and pat a seat for her. El smiles and sits with Me.

I wanted to explore some of the Byers-Hopper dynamic here✨️ and accidentally gave Will an obsession with the frozen grocery section lol.

ALSO in case you wondered, Will said he felt at home in the Hawkins grocery because that us Melvand's, where his mom literally worked and probably where he hung out a bunch.

El's little moment with the waffles is based on two things. First off, Brenner literally gave candy prizes to his favorites, which is what, among a whole HOST of other events, made her see Nice Things TM as rewards/benchmarks of morality. She then takes the plain ones because her self esteem at this point fucking sucks. At this point it is more about Hopper's death and leaving Mike and not talking to her friends before leaving than anything else, but honestly the letter exchange does not help and I've got an analysis post that is semi-related there.

I find it really fun to explore these two's different perspectives here. El is both enjoying her freedom end feeling remorse, while Will is kinda in the pits but takes alot for granted too.

ALSO, the capitalization I'm "My Mom" is 100% intentional, and by the end it changes to "our mom" with no capitals to show how Will's attitude towards El changes.

Honestly, I haven't written from Will's perspective before, and I didn't think I would enjoy it this much, not I ended up stretching this whole ficlet just for the Willel vibes LOL.

ALSO the cold obsession is also based in canon I didn't just pick that shit up randomly.

dgs case 2 thoughts babeyyy. oops it's long this time

sooo no trial this case!! very interesting!! personally it felt like things got a little boring quite often, maybe because there were so few areas to explore? and i think the pacing was, much like the first case, a little sluggish at times. however i still think it felt wayy better than the aai games, which also had no trials. i would love to have seen a version of aai more like this case, with "argument" portions removed and the logic system more similar to the dance of deduction. overall i am really glad they let the story do what it needed to do instead of trying to squeeze a trial in there, it would have felt really forced considering the setting

i am sooooo obsessed with the dance of deduction by the way,, i think out of all the unique investigative functions throughout the series (magatama, perceive, mood matrix, etc) this might be my favorite. the conceit of it is so creative with ryuunosuke having to course correct using his observation skills, and it actually makes me appreciate sholmes' presence a lot more since it offers a lovely bit of insight into his character: you can kind of see where he's going with everything, but it's his vivid imagination, not stupidity, that leads him to get details wrong-- and those details cause his deductions to spiral out of control and miss the mark. he's so creative, but he doesn't even stop to think that the world might not operate with that same level of creativity. i just think that is so charming wtf. and while it does seem a little too easy i imagine it will get more difficult later, and mechanically i think the visuals really spice things up and i love seeing them take full advantage of the 3d models. i think its a really excellently designed system

speaking of taking advantage of 3d models can i just say i love how the settings are built and how the characters take up that space??? because i looovve the way it creates a more dynamic space and feels more like the characters exist in their environment, while still keeping true to the visual novel style. all that is to say i'm so impressed by the actual game design here and i'm really excited to continue playing through it

anyways i guess i should like. talk about the plot. i guess. hi this case was like super fucked up, but like, in a very unique way?? genuinely, the conclusion to this case felt more like a danganronpa trial than it did an ace attorney case. and the fact that this random 15 yo kid accidentally killed this guy for NO reason?? that's heartbreaking dude, it makes me wonder a lot about what asougi's true goal was and how it relates to the concept of revenge and closure. bc what dgs is telling us with this case is that the truth isn't necessarily all that rewarding, right? knowing who killed asougi doesn't make me or ryuunosuke or susato feel better, and knowing he wasn't planning to reveal pavlova's identity makes her feel worse. even before that, learning that he literally just broke his neck due to an unlucky fall only invites this keen sense of unfairness. there's no closure or revenge or schadenfreude, just a little girl who made a really horrible, but ultimately sympathetic mistake.

i said last post that i felt asougi might be one of those seeking revenge types, or something like that, what with his connection to family honor as well as his obvious ambition. so i can't help but wonder if, when we finally figure out what it was that asougi needed to do in london, ryuunosuke has to face a choice: is he really going to continue his friend's legacy? after all, he's the one holding the sword now, which isn't just symbolic of a man's soul or his honor or whatever, it's a weapon. why did asougi really want to bring something like that so badly?

ojiro was pretty different from all the other boys in class. he wasn't thirsted over by the girls in other classes nor did he catch a lot of attention from anyone. except you of course.

ever since you joined class 1A the boy with the fluffy tail has always caught your attention. he was a pretty nice person and you wanted to get to know him better. luckily, you usually get paired with ojiro in group activities and during training.

as time passed, the two of you grew feelings for each other. however neither of you gathered up the courage to confess to each other. ojiro wasn't sure whether you liked him at all, despite hagakure constantly trying to tell him you do. you on the other hand worried the fact that ojiro doesn't like boys at all, he never looked interested in the girls when kaminari and mineta thirsted over them, let alone boys.

one day, ojiro mustered up the courage to confess to you after class, with hagakure's pep talk of course. after a lot of stutters and a lot of blushing from the both of you, you guys began to date.

ojiro was a really caring boyfriend. always looking out for you, if you were tired, if you needed food, have you drank enough, y'know, all that stuff.

one day after class, the two of you walked out of classroom to find a couple from a different class making out. they didn't notice you so you guys just walked away and pretended like nothing happened. the way home was a little awkward this time. the truth is, despite being in a relationship for so long, neither of you have ever initiated to try and make out or have sex. it's not that you've never thought of it. you've thought doing it with ojiro and how his face would look while he's inside you.

And it was NOT a good thing for two particular professors at the Titans Academy. Someone had even drawn a heart with a marker on their photograph that had somehow appeared next to each other in every single Academy yearbook that had been distributed! Of course, Nightwing planned to “go to the bottom of the mystery” being the master detective he was, but for reals, everyone knew he was the one of the two people who might have done it. The other being Victor Stone a la Cyborg.

Raven didn’t find it hard to block out the whispers and the voices. She was an empath, and would hear people’s emotions and thoughts quite regularly, and blocking them out was a sort of regular thing for her. Whispers were also easy to drown, especially when they didn’t carry any weight as such.

Beast Boy on the other hand, Raven often noticed, got unnerved when faced with things like this. He was a nice, high spirited, cheerful goofball, who didn’t really fare well at hiding emotions. If he was frustrated, flustered, annoyed, angry, or rather anything except happy, it’d show quite easily on his face. It was one of the things Raven loved the most about him, he was perfectly transparent, not like other guys who liked to keep their emotions bottled up, and not in a way like Raven’s where her emotions overloading might end up in her demonic powers getting out of control, but rather, a case of being “Wayy too cool to have emotions or be nice”.

Raven had a strong dislike for boys like that, boys who faked how they felt, and were actually really manipulative and shrewd. Beast boy was definitely not one of them. And that was one of the many reasons why she didn’t mind the whispers. If people around the academy were shipping her with someone, she was glad it was Beast boy.

She had just started grading the term papers in the teacher’s lounge, when she suddenly realised there was a question in the paper about adaptibility to adverse conditions, a question that she, Raven Roth did not put in her section of the paper. And honestly didn’t know the answer of either. Starfire had wanted the questionnaires to be set by the entire staff together, or if that was not possible with a lot of bickering, then with all the professors sending their respective questions to her, the headmistress, who could compile it into a perfect question paper that would set a challenging questionnaire for the heroes in the making.

And the teachers were allotted a group of students whose papers they had to check, whether they knew the questions or not. “You can use the help of the friends and the other teachers of the school to help you with the questions that you do not the know” she had said sweetly, “it will only make the bonds of your accord and companionship grow the stronger”

Nobody had a heart to refuse.

The first six questions were easy, and two were not from Raven’s subject of Enchantment and Charms, but simple stuff, that Raven could mark with ease, but question no. 7 was something else entirely.

“Beast boy will know the answer to this” raven muttered and got up, taking a sample paper from her desk, and dashing out of the door, knowing she’ll be back in a few minutes with some in depth knowledge of the subject.

On the way, she scanned the paper for more questions to ask Beast boy, while she was at it, so she wouldn’t have to run again and again. In the paper of forty questions, she found 8 she couldn’t do without his help.

He was standing in a classroom drawing some stuff about some animal characteristics on the white board, when Raven arrived.

“Hey” She said, standing in the doorway, beckoning him.

“Hey!!” he replied back cheerfully, and the entire class, which had been listening attentively, suddenly burst into hushed whispers.

“Beast boy I need some help” she said, blushing a bit, feeling some of the whispers reach her...

“I wanted to ask you some stuff” she said, handing him the paper, “first off, question seve—” before she could complete her sentence, Gar interrupted her.

Raven understood. Beast Boy was again having trouble with dealing with what people said behind his back, and students, in general, can be quite mean.

“Oh” was all she said, and Waited for him to continue, but he didn’t.

“Gar?” She asked, gently, once again, placing a hand on his shoulder, “why do you worry so much about what people say about you and me?”

He gulped, “it’s not like… it bothers me…. It’s more like…” he struggled to find the right words.

Raven didn’t need to use her empathic powers to know what he wanted to say, because deep down, in a place where she rarely let her emotions wander, she felt the exact same way.

“It’s more like you *want* them to be true.”

Garfield Logan looked at her for a long, LONG minute, trying to understand what she had just told him, and it took him a hot second, but his blush went up about a thousand times, as he realised.

“Are you… saying… that… you also… want… those whispers to be… real?” He stuttered nervously, and Raven smirked. Just like she had imagined it in her head countless times.

What was that other thing she had imagined?

Oh yes.

“The whispers… I think it’s time enough that we give the smoke a flame to brag about” she said, pulling him by his collar, closer, and softly planting a kiss on his lips. Her lips softly brushed against his, preciously, delicately, like the tiny, fluttering wings of a butterfly, just long enough that he could inhale her breath, feel the warmth of her skin, let his heart skip a few beats, before it was over, way too soon, and left a taste of her lipstick lingering on his lips.

“I’ll ask you about the term papers later” she winked playfully, spun around on her heel, and left, leaving a stunned, more red than he was green, Beast Boy who was basically at this point stranded on cloud nine, with no bounds of his joy.

Of course, this would NOT help the situation with the rumours and the whispers, and the fact that everybody knew that this was bound to happen at some point in time or another.

Beast Boy was jerked back into the present by the sound of a window pane breaking as the the entire class practically attempted to stay inside, while at the same time get as much of a view at the professors, to gawk at their conversation in the hallway through the glass windows of the classroom.

Oh God, let me start with things that mc does to piss off Soonyoung, that beautiful man..... Upsetting him comes easy because of how passionate he is. He's competitive as hell, especially when it comes to his girl

However, she would flirt with Mingyu very openly, and her heart eyes would not go unnoticed. Of course, Soonyoung's jealousy would rile him up like no other, and he'd be fumingggg

Mc didn't mean to do it on purpose, at least not at first. And she definitely didn't mean it when she fell into bed with Mingyu that one time..... lol (all hell breaks loose, but that's a whole other story). After all, she's convinced that Soonyoung isn't serious about her. She thinks this is all part of his game. He wants to break down her walls, but emotionally, she thinks that she's strong enough to withstand his charm. So who is she hurting by liking Mingyu??? (Literally every character in the story LOL), but ignorance is bliss, ya know?

Okay, likewise, Soonyoung is a popular guy. He's the star quidditch player, and people can't decide whether they want to be him or be with him. Girls practically swarm him, and all she can do is stand in the crowd and watch. She'd stomp away, pretending as if she isn't upset, but Soonyoung would follow her anyways because she's the only person he cares about 😭 His eyes have always been on her ! "plus due to the history of the phandom and bad connotations from outside perspective, phannies nowadays tend to be very cautious about freaking out or investigating too throughly. me personally, i get both freaking the fuck out and watching myself. and also with the current lack of communication its really difficult to get super excited about anything that isn't confirmed. i definitely wouldn't say ive been here a long time(3 years) and by this point getting excited for things is a let down if dnp themselves haven't confirmed it 100%. also part of the rumors have been created/hinted at by dan and phil so that most of the dedicated audience isnt blindsided by goings on and has a idea of something before it is released. for example when tatinof/tabinof was released with no warning, as in no rumors before or any whispers of happenings, as far as i know people were not happy. personally i dont mind rumors as long as they dont hurt anyone and are fun to speculate.

btw i realize that ive sent a lot of shit and sorry... but you asked for my opinions so ima keep talking, feel free to ignore me... ive definitely been in other fandoms before, but and this is legit nothing like anything else. for one there is one pairing(unless you count the crack ships and fetus phan twitter interactions). i think part of the lesser reaction is because we dont want to get our hopes up. which is kinda a pessimist perspective.

my opinions on the book? im happy for dan, and im glad to know hes been doing SOMETHING. and i def know that inwill buy the book whenever it comes out. but i also know that it could be a mistake, put under the wrong author. or it could fall through. something ig i go by, is that if its not straight(ha) from dan(or phils) mouth the phandom is going to question the source and even the information. plus i think the excitement for the book is being overshadowed by the fact dan doesnt talk to us.

i love both dnp with my entire heart and the phandom helped my learn, grow and accept myself. but the rumor mill has been beaten to death and i think by this point people are wayy to tired and frankly apathetic to freak out. but know interally, everyone is excited to some degree"

firstly anon you go OFF writing an essay about how you feel, I love to hear people's views! this actually helped me a lot to put this into perspective.

It's kind of sad that the phandom got to a point that we can't just be happy about stuff, and I can see there's a lot of baggage and stuff holding everyone back. I think this is something we should all work on honestly, because a idol-fan relationship is STILL a relationship and it needs to be healthy, I guess?

but honestly this happens in every fandom. I just feel like phannies are the ones that hold the most grudges. There's so much fucked up stuff that happened in my other fandons and that we were able to let in the past.... I feel like phannies need to to breath a little and remember why we're all here.

(even if it's extremely difficult, I know for a fact it is. I was "out" of the taylor swift fandom for literally a year to reflect on everything that was happening and it was the healthiest choice ever.)

but I think as soon as this is actually announced (if it's even true) we'll be all collectively excited again. sure, there was some drama surrounding dan's coming out too, but at the end we were all just... happy. I hope whatever this project is can bring us together like that again, even if it doesn't lasts. I'm excited!

He really slowly and quietly peeked through the crack in the door.

When he hears his name he feels like he’s about to cry because of oh Primus, my crush likes me, but he quickly fixes his composure and goes back to his hab.

He’s so damn happy, he just laughs to himself with a big smile that has ravaged asking questions. (Which he just rolls his optics.)

So, he pushes himself to go back to find you and ask you out, and saving you the trouble!

Fort Max

When he hears his name, he goes straight to see what’s happening.

When he sees you talking to yourself in the mirror, he listens for a good 30 seconds, before he hightails it out of there.

He’s so flustered! Once he’s back in his hab he covers his face with his hands and tires to relax.

But your his crush too, so should he go tell you? Would that be weird? He has mixed emotions.

When you do end up asking him out he’ll go silent and nod. (he looks like he’s about to cry.

You hug because you were both unknowingly stressed out.

Swerve

The first time he hears it he has to physically cover his mouth from screaming.

He gets this big grin on his faceplates and you’ll hear squeaking from him, so of course, you whip around to see him.

You yelp.

He takes his hand from his face to say, “Keep going.” to kinda cheer you on, and then cover his mouth back up again so he doesn’t interrupt you.

When you’re done he runs over and hugs you do you almost fall backward.

“OmpMeToo!WhyDidn'tYouTellMe?!” at the speed of light because he is just so excited!!

Ultra Magnus

He’d walk in. he had a plan of what he was going to say. But when he saw the fear of rejection all over your face, he stops himself from scowling.
