Have you ever had the chicken pox? No. I’m constantly in a place of waiting for it to pass by, because everyone tells me all people are bound to have it at one point in their lives (idk how true that is, though). I am also told it gets a lot suckier as one gets older, so...not too thrilled about it at all.

I’ve criticized things like acting, plots, and dialogues in the past, of course; but there’s still so many things that go into films that aren’t overtly projected like lighting, symbolism, hidden meanings, etc. I don’t have a very good nose for those.

what's the farthest you've walked? I can’t give you a distance, but my parents opted for us to walk the whole time we were in Bali (except if we had a tour day which included transportation). Walking in an unfamiliar - and very humid - country and not knowing where anything is (this was before food and travel apps got as detailed as they are today) and ending up walking long stretches because you can’t locate any good local spots is a very easy way to run out of patience, apparently.

what is your favorite horror movie? Carrie was pretty fun.

what does your favorite shirt look like? It’s a twist on the Chicago flag, made black and red and with a raised fist in the middle. At the back it says “CM Punk: Best in the World.” Been my favorite and most overused shirt for the past 9 years. My friends tease me about it sometimes, but I don’t care lol, the shirt is very significant to me.

is your life like a daily routine? It is, but I prefer that it is. I like when things are in my control and, for the most part, predictable. I enjoy spontaneity in short bursts.

In my own personal experience, though, it’s beenhard to find Christians who aren’t hypocritical. So even though I see religion’s potential, I don’t have a lot of trust in believers themselves.

Snow 12 - Ivar / Hvitserk x Reader

You hadn’t given much thought to what would happen after Ivar was permanently out of the picture and you were left a widowed royal. You had never in your craziest fantasies saw yourself as the queen of Kattegat but now that you were, the idea of losing your crown wasn’t ideal. How great would it be to just be the queen without Ivar holding your position over your head? You would be free to choose your own king and you would choose a man that actually valued you. 

He never wanted it, but Hvitserk would make a great king. He would be just and honest and with you at his side, with Brenna and her chosen as allies, you could make real changes in Kattegat and the surrounding villages.

“Yes, I would like to keep my crown.”

“I hoped, I cannot imagine allying with anyone else. Now, we need to discuss how this is, most likely, going to happen.”

“Is Hvitserk going to do it?” 

“He assured me that he would, but I’m not sure I believe him. Regardless of the situation, Ivar is still his brother and I am not sure he’ll be able to kill him. I have tasked my greatest warrior to monitor the situation and if Hvitserk cannot do follow through, she will take care of it.”

The thought of Hvitserk not being able to kill Ivar despite all he had done to you brought bile to your throat. Of course it was understandable, but it still didn’t sit well with you. 

“Hey,” Brenna took your hands in hers, “he is not coming back and if by some miracle the Gods allow him to, he will not stay long and he will not have control over you ever again.”

“Do not be a stranger,” you dropped her hands and pulled her into a hug, “it is funny that you are my competition but you are also who I would consider my closest friend. Safe travels home.”

“We will see each other again at the end of this, and it will be a sweet reunion, my friend.”

“I am nervous,” Aslaug paced back and forth across and wrung her hands together too many times to count, “I don’t think this raid will go well.” 

“Do not worry, your sons are more than capable of leading a major army and they will come back successful and richer than ever.”

Your calm demeanor didn’t seem to ease her worry, as she continued to walk holes in the wooden floor.

“This doesn’t feel right. They were supposed to have returned three days ago, but we have heard nothing. What if Hedeby’s forces were too much for them? They were Lagertha’s armies.”

“Maybe they are enjoying the spoils of their raid and spending some extra time upending Hedeby. I’m sure they’ll be back within two days.”

It wasn’t two minutes after you said it that the horns sounded. Boats were entering Kattegat. Aslaug hurried out of the hall toward the docks while you waited for Brenna to come from her chambers. 

She emerged in matching clothing to yours.

“Are you ready for whatever is ahead of us?”

You held hands as you made your way to the docks in thick blue dresses and black furs. 

As soon as the boats hit the docks men were pouring off them. Chaos had taken control of the scene and townspeople were crying on the side of the docks while raiders pulled the wounded out and rushed them off.

“The kings need to be taken to the great hall! They have priority!”

Kings. The word hit like an ice cold wave washing over your body. Ivar was the only one meant to be injured in the raid. He should have been the one to suffer a fatal blow. 

Hvitserk didn’t lose. He was a master with a sword and was never hit. The blood on his body was never his own and to hear that he was hurt in any way was crushing. 

Shield maidens rushed Brenna and yourself back to the great hall, it wasn’t safe here now. Both kings were down for the moment and that meant threats would rise up.  

The two of you sat outside the medical chambers waiting for the men to arrive. You didn’t care much at all about Ivar’s condition but Hvitserk’s potential injures had you losing your mind. He had to pull through, you were so close to the end of this obstacle that battle wounds could not be the thing that took him away from you. 

Ivar came first. He was heavily covered with makeshift bandages and unconscious with a large amount of dried blood on the coverings. He looked in terrible shape and from the whispers of the servants working on him, it didn’t sound like he would pull through. 

Hvitserk came shortly after but he wasn’t being carried the way Ivar was. He was putting his weight on two men as they hobbled toward his assigned chamber. He was bleeding and limping but very much alive and conscious. 

“Gods, Hvit, what happened?!”

You couldn’t resist running up to him and wrapping your arms around his neck. No one stopped you. 

“It is a scratch, I’ll be fine,” he chuckled and allowed to men to lead him away.

“Do you know what happened yet?” 

Brenna had remained seated and you noticed her hands shaking and the pale color of her skin.

“No, my partner has not been accounted for, she was the one that was watching out for Hvitserk and would do the deed if he could not. I do not know where she is.”

Biting the inside of your cheek so hard it nearly bled, you hurried to her side and embraced her. You couldn’t imagine how she was feeling. Hvitserk had always come home to you, even this time with minimal injuries. The thought of not knowing whether he was alive or not was horrible and it wasn’t something you would ever wish on anyone. 

“Boats are still arriving from the raid. She is coming back.”

“Do you think so?”

“I know so.”

Brenna had cried herself to sleep hours ago, but you patiently waited and watched the last of the boats come from Hedeby. The final one held only six people, but one of them was exactly the person you were waiting for. Gunnhild the unstoppable shield maiden, a woman that even Hvitserk might be intimidated by, had come back unharmed. Brenna would cry again, but this time they would be tears of happiness. 

“I am so glad you have returned to us, Brenna will be over the moon.”

“Where is she?”

“Sleeping after crying herself into that very slumber over your potential death.”

“I told her I’d return to her.”

“I did too.” 

She smiled at this as the two of you headed toward the great hall. 

“Have you seen Ivar?”

“Just his very unconscious body, still alive but barely.”

“Hvitserk meant to kill him but Ivar’s men got involved before he could do it.”

“He really did it?”

“Yes, he didn’t have a choice.”

“Brenna wasn’t sure he’d go through with it because they are brothers, and to tell you the truth, I wasn’t sure either.”

“Hvitserk was never meant to come back from this raid. Ivar was going to see to it that he was killed, take Brenna as a second wife and control of Manafell.”

“How do you know this?”

“His men couldn’t keep their mouths shut about killing a son of Ragnar and word travelled amongst the raiders. It got to me and I told Hvitserk. We worked only with our inner circle and devised a plan to get Ivar as isolated as we could to make a move.”

“He didn’t die though, how safe is Hvitserk here in Kattegat?”

“I do think we need to get him back to Manafell as soon as possible, but for the time being, he is relatively safe. Our men are here, I am going to be his personal guard until he leaves, he will not be harmed.”

“Thank you, Gunnhild, you have done so much for me that you don’t even realize.”

“Brenna thinks highly of you, so does Hvitserk, so do I. You do not deserve to be held captive by anyone.”

It was no surprise that Ivar wanted Hvitserk dead. If what Aslaug said was true, that Ivar just wanted you rather than what his brother had, it made sense. Ivar would never have you if he knew there was even the tiniest chance that you could reunite with Hvitserk. He had to get rid of him.

You would never truly have the love of your life again, as long as Ivar had anything to do with it. He had dangled Hvitserk cruelly in front you under the premise of sharing. He married him off to another woman and sent him away. He threatened Hvitserk’s life many times. It did not matter, you wouldn’t be swayed, Ivar had to get rid of him entirely.

Thoughts on the new episode in short, along with retcons and reworks for it to line up a little better, along with Ered’s feelings toward David, Gwen and the others, etc. Along with new rules and updated ones and thoughts on the campers. Major update and spoilers to the blog.

New rules:

20. Retconned scenes and retconned conflicting personality traits, along with the rework must be read further below.

Updated rule number 6.

After S3 The campers have finally faced other kids in the show other than what we’ve seen on a regular basis for what they’re capable of in burning down the camps- it’s important to note that those kids were SEEMINGLY NORMAL in comparison. It’s confirmed basically that the kids are abnormal such as Nurf with his obvious super strength in his arms and Ered with her extreme healing rate and durability and physical capability, some traits being supernatural with Nurf and Ered, but especially such as Harrison with his magic and Nerris able to reattach his arm after S1 E9 when she says ‘I can fix it’ and Harrison has his arm again later on I think. Then Nikki with her animal empathy and control, along with Neil and his super intellect. They are NOT normal kids by this point as far as I’m concerned.

So with that: I will be rping Ered as an abnormal girl as such with extremely fast healing capability/actual some amounts of regeneration, along with survivability from situations that’d normally be 100% fatal to a lot of other characters, as in falling off an incredible height or have a lot internal resistance and immunities to certain things- I do this because so far with 3 literal seasons? Only about a month has potentially passed and she probably healed less than a day for her full-body cast. So with strength being a slight step down from Nurf in physical strength in her arms but being much stronger in her legs than he is with his arms and legs, as more confirmation with how she was jumping without running in the S3 finale with little to no effort a rather great distance shows that aspect, along with the actual math I did for her running speeds from the Snowday episode. So now that this rule is more detailed, more info can be found in the about regarding Ered’s capability in the about.

Ok, so the finale was great, it was good and all and grand, but I have to say that while it was good? Cut: off to be added into the about and rework so Ered’s involvement makes more sense.

Intro to the rework:

There were some flaws in the story-telling with Ered’s dads and Ered’s involvement considering she has the option to tell them on what was involved with all the stuff that went on. I realize they said it’s not supposed to make sense always but that just feels like lazy writing honestly. So without further delays:

The rework, warning heavy S3 spoilers. This is a temporary rework until it becomes invalidated or explained due to Ered’s involvement with her dads if ever while also still retaining to canon. I will NOT however change how Ered feels about them both and her involvement:

As David and Gwen in reality would be held just as much responsible for the whole ‘Daniel incident’ and probably took a plea deal themselves as much as I like the two as characters? They would and should not get off for that scott-free, considering David broke actual laws since Daniel was a wanted man but had no background check, but also in the sense Gwen also left the camp with the kids alone with him and David. So in reality by law? They would face consequences for that once Ered told her dads when they arrived or probably through her own means and they looked into it since he WAS hired meaning they had him on file which would then be added to a system- so yes, they would face consequences but I won’t force this on every David or Gwen I come across, but it matches up with the season finale in that David and Gwen are just as much victims to Campbell as anyone else with the protocol they were taught or followed, which is extremely lenient if looking at such an offense, but I’m making an exception due to me explaining it as: there being legal complications and protocol from Campbell with them being legally obligated to follow as a loophole that keeps them from going to prison due to Cameron being at fault for it. So while it is community service, they weren’t tried due to complicated circumstances due to Cameron’s abuse of the law, along with not having it added to their record- this way, there is consequences to breaking the literal law, as Daniel would’ve needed a background check when it comes to dealing with children as he went as HIMSELF so he would’ve been turned down. And also they’re both confirmed to be incompetent by Gwen herself, so it’s not like it goes against canon from what a character actually says herself.

Ered’s involvement:

So with an undetermined amount of time between the camp being sold episode and also Ered’s involvement being much lesser in the later season episodes? I’m going to say that after episode 10? Due to Ered’s involvement with everything and her being there conflicts with her dads’ interest who would definitely care on the conditions and what happened? Ered was taken out much sooner and did not appear in episode S3 Ep 11 due to this other than hearing what happened via her dads through her cellphone. Her involvement was little to none in that episode so it meshes along with her coming back afterward, because I will not simply have her there for ‘lol reasons’, as it would make her dads irresponsible and to fill in a plot-hole that was overlooked. She could also simply not care about any of that later on in canon and not say anything, but that’s honestly stupid regardless of circumstances. This lines up because time is undetermined throughout the series other than a potential month passing for the three seasons due to a Calender seen, but we shall see. So Ered was probably gone for a little while and I’m willing to rp people missing her at the Camp.

Retconned scene:

My Ered was not in this scene but also the fact that it was honestly? Just she was excited to get candy too for canon even though I didn’t see her with any in the next scene unless I saw a glimpse I think. But she has literal FBI dads so they’d teach her how to be safe and not take candy from literal strangers. But the kids accepting candy from a literal Herbert reference from Family Guy and accepting a stained bag of candy as a not-so-subtle pedophile joke is just not happening and will not be mentioned in rps on this blog or you will get a warning. This scene was overall over the top stupid and really played too much into David being a dumbass, as even he would be sketchy of it. So it’s been reworked into the kids taking a Taxi Van as those actually exist and I’ve been in them before.

How my Ered feels toward Gwen and David:

After the incidents happening at the camp? Ered has conflicting feelings with Gwen and David, but while she doesn’t trust them necessarily again after all that’s happened with Daniel and them trying to make them eat literal garbage since they ran out of money, but she never ate the food so I suspect she got it elsewhere considering she’s hinted to have snuck a dumptruck into the Camp before in S1. Along with other things? She likes them still somewhat and recognizes they tried to fix things in the end, but there is lowkey, chill bitterness deep within that. As Ered is the eldest and has been identified to be more observant and aware of things that should not be how they are, despite conflicting portrayals in other episodes. She even showed to just be saying ‘typical’ of Cameron running off with the bus.

I am however willing to work through that resentment to make things better as I can see Ered wanting to like them again, but also feeling probably betrayed and hurt over it since in S1? Was the peak of how she probably felt toward them both but just downplays it lowkey. She might be stoic and hard to read, but she’s still a teenage girl that’s fairly young and has feelings like anyone else, regardless of hcs or not for personality and spectrums. This is something that could be done post S3 for timeline since David and Gwen would probably be trying to make it up to them all.

How my Ered feels about the Campers:

Overall they’re her friends and it’s probably why she put up with it for so long for being at the camp, but do know that if ic your muse breaks that friendship? They will face those consequences or we will need to do a soft reset. I will keep Ered being sad that not only she had to leave for safety reasons from her fathers’ concern for her yet understanding why they did it, but all her friends were separated from each other later on when finding out. Max and her had it out in the S1 Debut but after the Halloween Episode and other instances of them interacting friendly with each other and junk? Ered was happy to come back with them fixing it all up in their scheme against Campwell- probably being on good terms with him now. Nurf, Nikki, seem to be good friends with her as well. While I have Nerris currently as one of her best friends after S3 Ep 2 by default for relations in all that’s mentioned above. Do keep in mind some canon muses will be pre-established and on better terms with her than what’s stated in rps due to interactions or discussions privately.

On 7/24 I was at a Dairy Queen drive thru the person behind me hit the truck I was driving. I was looking at her in the rear view mirror the entire time. She had a cigarette hanging from her mouth that was unlit and she eventually backed up after hitting me. I got out of the truck and looked and I did not see any damage. She then said I didn't move you hit me I then told her No I did not hit you I am in front of you and this truck was never in reverse. Since there was no damage to the truck I did not bother getting any of her information since it was not my fault. On 7/27 I got a call from the police saying she told them I hit her. I gave them my side of the story and they said she had a witness who was a passenger in her car and they will be in touch. I also let them know I had a witness as well. The cop called me back yesterday and wanted to get my insurance information so her and I could exchange information. My question is do I have to give my insurance information to this cop? I did not hit this woman and I think she is trying to get one over on the insurance company. The cop said yesterday I'm surprised the truck does not have any damage because her car does have damage. This truck was a rental truck which was inspected at the time it was dropped back off at the rental company obviously there was no damage to it. This woman looked like she was on something to begin with and I'm guessing she was not paying attention probably looking for a lighter and let off the break and hit me. Which I still don't see how her car would be so damaged. I don't want this con artist having my information.
