Hell yeah dude! I’m happy to keep doing these as long as people have characters they want me to blab about!

And truthfully, talking about Bebe will probably actually help me a ton. She makes super limited appearances in EWILY but I’d like to explore her character more in the future!

Anyway, let’s get into it!

🏳️‍🌈 - So deep in the walk-in closet it’s actually a little embarrassing. Bebe’s the kinda girl that acts straight 99% of the time, but WILL make out with her female friends when she’s drunk. But it, like, didn’t mean anything she swears.

🏳️‍⚧️ - Cis girl. Definitely most comfortable when presenting high feminine.

🧸 - I kinda like to think Bebe was a little bit spoiled as a child. Not rotten, she was just one of those kids that got whatever she wanted. As an only child, she was doted on pretty heavily by her parents and extended family.

👻 - Not much truly scares Bebe, though she would definitely be the kinda girl that agrees to see a scary movie with a hot guy just so she can scream and grab hold of his arm. If she was in a really terrifying situation though? She is on her knees begging for her life, all confidence is out the window.

🎶 - Bebe loves popular music, and is a MASSIVE Swiftie!!! Owns every album, spends hours online discussing lore and hint drops. Currently, I think she’d also really like Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo and Meg Thee Stallion.

👽 - She’s so…. Normal, that it’s hard to imagine her doing anything ‘quirky’. I do imagine she probably went through a phase of biting her cute little pink pens and pencils until someone scared her about it ruining her teeth (probably Kyle making an offhand comment lmao).

💝 - Gift giving. NEXT! Ahaha no but seriously loves receiving gifts. I think she gives love with a lot of physical touch though. Big on hugs and hand holding.

🫂 - As we know, Wendy is her BFF, though Bebe is very popular and makes friends extremely easily. She’s one of those people that will go into the bathroom at a party and come out with a whole new friend group and plans with them for the following weekend.

💔 - Bebe stopped trying to keep a boyfriend in the summer between freshman and sophomore year, claiming to be over stupid boys and wanting to be in her ‘hot girl era’, but she was really just tired of being disappointed by jerks who treated her like garbage. She’s really kind of given up on the idea of ‘love’ as something real and attainable.

🪢 - She is very close with both of her parents, spending tons of time gossiping and shopping with her mom if she isn’t with her other friends. She’s her father’s perfect little angel, and he definitely brought her chocolates and consoled her after her worst breakups.

📓 - Bebe’s top hobby is being a social butterfly, but she also really loves makeup and fashion! I could see her attempting to become an influencer during college for some extra income. She also definitely used to be a horse girl, though she probably no longer keeps horses into her teens.

👗 - Perfect transition from the last question hehe! Bebe keeps up with most trends, so at the current moment she would wear tons of Y2K inspired clothes! Low waisted jeans, mini skirts and baby tees. She has a revolving wardrobe and rarely wears the same combination of clothes twice.

🔪 - Bebe can and will fuck you up. You saw what she did to Butters. Talk shit about one of her girls? Start praying brother it’s over for you, especially if she’s sloshed.

🌟 - She would claim to be happy with the idea of being independent, as some kind of influencer or maybe a personal assistant to a super famous celebrity, but she secretly fantasizes about having an extravagant wedding and starting a family. Yes, she’s had a wedding Pinterest board since she was like twelve.

🍫 - Unfortunately probably succumbs to a lot of social pressure to stay thin, using a ton of super unhealthy trend diets throughout her early teens in an attempt to stay skinny. As she gets older though she starts to accept herself as she’s meant to be, with a lot of help from Wendy and a great many lectures about the health risks associated with those horrible, bullshit diets.

🎭 - Ahahaha being straight!! No, but seriously, she lies constantly to her parents about where she is and who she’s with. Despite being spoiled, they don’t love some aspects of her lifestyle (namely, doing lots of drugs and having lots of sex ahaha).

❤️‍🔥 - As I’ve mentioned, Bebe has sort of given up on the idea of being in love. She has a few sexual partners that she revisits occasionally, but the second they start catching feelings she dips.

💄 - GORGEOUS!!! STUNNING!!! Big, bouncy blond curls, round features and the most insanely blue eyes out of anyone in town (second is probably Stan tbh, brother stares into your soul with those things). And her makeup is always FLAWLESS?? An actual guru, she should really go to cos school.

🖕 - Bebe’s a bad bitch, we all know this, though she’s got a longer fuse than you might expect. Unless she’s drunk. I think this whole ask has taught us all not to let Bebe get too drunk, huh?

😬 - Nothing! She’s a perfect angel and has never done anything wrong! JK she sleeps with girls’ boyfriends on the regular. None of her friends though, don’t worry. She’s not a total monster. (Also, the whole list thing? Yeah, that was rotted. I support her wrongs and her rights)

😶 - Despite appearing very infrequently in EWILY, Bebe actually plays a very important role. Aside from hosting the post benefit party at her house, of course. She also probably helped Wendy when she was running for class president! Aaaw girls supporting girls, love them!

Raya and The Last Dragon Review

Hi. Again, if you’ve been on my blog, you’ve seen me talk about Raya and the last dragon. And I love this movie so so so so so much. Alike to my Encanto review, I like this movie for the little things. The moments between characters etc. Really precious.

Things I loved:

Namaari. I loved Namaari.

Raya. I loved Raya.

TUK TUK. I LOVED TUK TUK.

I basically loved every character I. This film. Even that Virana bitch.😒 she was a milf

I loved that money where Boun was like “so, where are you guys heading after talon? I might be heading their too. :)” LIKE UGH THAT WAS SO CUTE AND GREAT JUST LIKE HIM-

I loved the show not tell they did in this movie. Like when we first see Boun, we can easily guess that he was a kid who lost his family to the Druun. He just confirms this later, when him Sisu and Raya are sailing to Talon.

Also, when the camera panned to the crib in Tongs cabin, showing it empty, the audience can guess that he lost his baby to the druun, which is all the more heartbreaking.

I loved the message, which is one many don’t understand. Something else Ives mentioned on my blog. It’s about unity, which in this time, is something this world needs.

I like how the movie gave us two perspectives. Raya’s perspective of being cautious of others and not trusting, and Sisu’s, of giving people the chance to improve, if you just communicate.

Like when sisu was like “if we’re just honest with her, deep down, I’ve got a feeling she wants to fix the world as much as we do.” Talking about Namaari. This movie is all about second chances, and when you should give them, depending on the situation. And I love that.

Because in the end, Kumandras main problem wasn’t trust. They were all living off assumptions of eachother. I don’t believe anyone was really truly bad. Of course there are some people though. Everyone there is just trying to surrvive. And everyone assumes the worst of eachother.

A strong and well delivered message.

I loved seeing Raya and Namaari’s bond at the beginning of the movie. It shows that in the end, kids really don’t care about conflict. They just care about being kids, finding friends, and doing life.

They were just talking about their common interests, similarities, not worrying about what the adults worried about.

I liked how namaari, as a child, was sent to take the gem. It shows how the adults of society often manipulate kids into thinking what their doing is right. It also shows that we’re not born bad, or I trust worthy. It’s taught. Like racism and prejudice.

On a lighter note, loved seeing sisu run on rain drops. My whole mind stopped when that scene came. So gorgeous.

Am I the only one who sees no problem in her design? She doesn’t even act like Elsa lol

I love how tong is really a big teddy bear covered in spikes 🥰 like Luisa, but ten times scarier. Big ole’ softies

Noi is a baddie fight me about it

The movie showed Benja and sisu both being to trusting, and both receiving the same fait. I feel like this was to show that trust CANNOT be one sided. Because when they put their faith in others it didn’t go the way they planned. This is saying that we as a society all have to do our parts and fix ourselves if we wanna get anywhere.

I LOVED that Virana actually LISTENED to Namaari’s ideas and thoughts on chasing down Raya, and how it would benefit Fang. Ive seen many times in cartoon, and in a couple of Disney movies, of the children being shut down by their elders, simply because they think their right. But we saw Viranas face soften and relax, tells big the audience that she really did care about what Namaari had to say. I love that.

Gays with swords. That’s it.

The music in this film is *chefs kiss*

I like how they got the different skin tones of south East Asian people. I’m not SEA my self, but I liked seeing the diversity.

Bebe tuk tuk has my heart

The fight scenes were PHENOMENAL. Disney really stepped up their game in this movie. They felt so really, and you could heard Namaari’s nose break when Raya punched it.

Speaking of that moment, I liked that when sisu came onto the scene and confronted namaari who was about to ouch Raya’s lights out, namaari didn’t run away in fear. Because she wasn’t scared of sisu. Just in awe of her. I feel like she saw her self as a little girl again in sisu. It was amazing. All she could do was stare. And sisu was like 🤨 grr grr fear me

The animation. I repeat, THE ANIMATION.

I could easily watch this movie a ton more times, but that. Doesn’t mean it’s without its flaws.

Things I didn’t love:

I wish we got more time with these interesting characters. I was bummed when the movie ended, because I wanted to see more! Kumandra is cool.

You’ll hear this a lot: movie should’ve been a series. There was too much going on for the movie to only be given 94 minutes.

This isn’t really a critique, but WHY THE HELL DID NAMAARI KICK BABY TUK TUK I HATE HER (no I dont)

I wish scenes where they were in diffrent lands (talon, obviously) were longer. Whenever they left a land, I verbally said “what? That’s it?” These lands are too pretty to only get 5 minutes each.

Maybe the message could’ve been executed better? Idk, I find it hard to believe that a bunch of people don’t get it.

I don’t know how to say this but…I wish there was more dialogue? In some scenes it just felt like the characters were holding back, and just saying what you expect them to say, and not being themselves. Wasn’t a huge fan of the script, but enjoyed the movie all the same.

This movie was SO QUICK. LIKE SLOW DOWN LMFAO.

On that, yeah I just wished to have settled in the world more. Hope there’s a sequel.🤷🏾‍♀️

I love so much about it this movie. It’s a ton of fun and I definitely recommend.

How I feel about this character: LORE IS MY BEBE. I’ve freaking ADORED Lore longer than literally ANY OTHER BADDY I’VE EVER RPED AS. I remember having ideas of him splicing with the T-1000 and having him go all melty melty and stabby stabby when I was in junior hugh and high school over 10 years ago!. (I’ll have you know my eyes are freaking SCREAMING from going through my ancient DA account to find this OVER A DECADE OLD MONSTROSITY. MY EYES!) 

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: Hugh and Julian Bashir. Though I’ve entertained him having relationships with OCs but in terms of “canon” characters? Gotta be these two. ( I might entertain Weyoun and Lore but I dunno....still gotta think about that one...)

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: DATA AND LORE. LORE AND BASICALLY EVERYONE ON THE ENTERPRISE. I love the idea of Lore mending bridges with the people he hurt and being slow to open up and show the jagged wounds in his heart over the pain that drove him crazy. I freaking love the idea of Lore and Data building a new relationship, Lore being the best uncle there ever was for Lal, and for Data to end up being the nerdy uncle when Lore finally have baby androids of his own. X3

My unpopular opinion about this character: HE NEEDS MORE SCREENTIME. HE NEEDS MORE ATTENTION. WE DESERVE THE EPISODE WHERE LORE WAS GOING TO BOND WITH LAL AND REDEEM HIMSELF!!!!!!

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Lore being brought back, given a GOOD redemption arc and having him find his way after the loss of his identical twin. Identical twins endure EXTREME emotional pain when their “other” is gone, and Lore living in a universe where is yin to his yang is GONE???? It destabilizes him more and he struggles to re-orient himself, maybe becoming a father figure for Soji as the last relative alive connected directly to her father Data.

Favorite friendship for this character: Deanna and Lore, Tasha and Lore, Jadzia and Lore. I have SO MANY but I love the idea of Lore being the sassy gay friend we all need in our lives nowadays.

Thoughts on Feel My Pulse (1928)

Bebe Daniels plays a wealthy hypochondriac who learns she’s inherited a sanitarium. When she goes there to hide out from an uncle who insists she exert her heart with adventure on a ranch in Texas, little does she know that rum-runners have bribed the sanitarium director into using the hospital as their base of operations. Caught off-guard by the heiress’ arrival, they try their best to dupe her into thinking the sanitarium is what it seems to be. William Powell, years before he became a major player in talkies, plays the greedy and lecherous leader of the bootleggers while Richard Arlen in his mysterious second-in-command.

Feel My Pulse is a lot of fun, a quirky comedy that takes its goofy premise and runs with it. Daniels was by all accounts one of the finest comediennes of 1920s cinema, though quite a few of her films are lost (I still mourn the disappearance of her Valentino Sheik parody, She’s a Sheik); however, Feel My Pulse is a great example of her charisma and talent. She is very funny and athletic, disproving the all too commonly argued assertion that all women in silent comedies were just props or trophies for the male lead. At the climax, her character effectively rescues herself and her love interest from the baddies by playing the most epic game of Donkey Kong (not even kidding; it must be seen to be believed). If you like classic movies with kickass ladies in the lead, then this will not disappoint you!

However, I feel this film could have had the potential to be even better had it been longer. It runs at just an hour and I wish we had a little more time dedicated to the love subplot or that the filmmakers had created more suspense with the bootleggers’ attempt to cover their operations. Like many late silent films, there’s also a heavy focus on verbal puns and dialogue, which was never really the strong suit of, well, SILENT films. I’m guessing the studio was unsure if they were going to film this one in sound, in full or in part, so that could be the reason. Also, William Powell was underused as the heavy; he was both funny and disgusting in what little time he had on-screen (there’s a scene where Daniels, believing he’s a doctor, asks him to examine her naked back and Powell just turns to the fourth wall with this sleazy smirk!). Nevertheless, this gem is too underappreciated. If you love silent comedies, then this is a good one to cuddle up with on a rainy day! 8/10
