Xiaomi 12 flagship trio is finally on the global stage, and we're excited to see all three Xiaomi 12 models in the office. It's like the light version of the Xiaomi 12, but it's a high-performance model that's only lightweight.

Indeed, the Xiaomi 12X is an incredibly compact and lightweight smartphone, the feast of the 2022 eyes (and hands). We're always fans of this form factor and never miss the opportunity to put a decent sized phone in your hand or pocket. Obviously, the 12X is the same as the Xiaomi 12 in all respects except the chipset. This means they are the same size, weight and color. Think of it as a trio of redundant phones, the Xiaomi 12 packs the most powerful hardware underneath a small body and 1080p display. And let's face it, it's overkill, and worse, throttle. It's like putting a Ferrari engine in a beetle. And its low price make Xiaomi 12X a more attractive phone to explore. It features a rugged chipset, premium display, state-of-the-art photo features, and fast charging.

Well, of course, I'm excited about the Xiaomi 12X, so let's get started with the business. Like the Xiaomi 12, the Xiaomi 12X offers a 6.28-inch AMOLED screen with full HD resolution, 120Hz dynamic refresh rate, 480Hz touch response, HDR10 + and Dolby Vision support, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. This is the first panel of mobile phones with native 12-bit color support for all pixels, enabling display of over 68 billion colors (see the number)! This is the only way to truly appreciate Dolby Vision. Next is the Snapdragon 870 5G. It has proven to be one of the most desirable flagship chipsets due to its high quality performance and excellent battery efficiency. The setup of the triple camera on the back of the is the same as the Xiaomi 12. Equipped with 50MP OIS primary, 13MP ultra wide, 5MP telephoto camera and AF, you can get a proper close-up. 8K video recording is available along with many other recording modes. A 32 megapixel sensor is used in the front camera.The Xiaomi 12X offers a Harman Kardon stereo speaker setup that supports Dolby Atmos. It complements the Dolby Vision display. There is one obvious omission, which is the degree of protection. Xiaomi has not given an official rating of Xiaomi 12X or 12, but you can be sure that the phone is drip-proof. This is by no means a real water protection, but the 12X isn't completely exposed to the elements either. The lack of a zoom camera, or at least a lossless zoom, is a bit confusing given the 12X's ability to process and crop high-resolution photos on the go. Despite these question marks, the Xiaomi 12X looks like one of the most attractive smartphones in the world due to its excellent balance of high-end features, performance and price.
