Do you have a design or any headcannons for Selph?

Looks-wise, they're still being a huge meanie and refusing to let my muse properly draw a full interpretation... But overall I run with the "Looks are based off the 'More NiGHTS' Emblem" bandwagon.

Oh! And some eyes!

As for headcannons, that depends on which headcanon lore I'm running with...

The simple (and initial) one was that Selph was planned to be created along the same time as Jackle, but after Jackle ended up being INVINCIBLE, to even WIZEMAN, Wizeman immediately backpedaled and mentally tossed the blueprints into the deepest darkest vaults of his mind, just in case Selph also caught the Invincibility Bug, and just never got back to them... And thus never actually got created. Basically, just an in-universe version of what happened them in the game IRL. They were dummied out.

...Aaaand then roleplaying them with @themysterioust and having fun got me ATTACHED to the jerk, and thus birthed the more complicated universe, where they DID end up getting created gdhsajdgjsa

-They're Jackle's twin. (Wizeman long discovered that you want to try and make Nightmaren in pairs. Being in solitude is how you get unbridled Nightmaren like Fenrir/Orthrus/Cerberus...)

-A shapeshifter. They can shift their form into any sentient being they've seen before, and mimic any voice they've heard.

-One limit to this, however, is their instrument. A Nightmaren's instrument is tied to their very being, so even if they transformed into NiGHTS, they wouldn't be able to play their flute. (And an instrument's music doesn't count as a 'voice' to mimic, so they can't just fake it.) -(Selph's instrument, by the by, is a violin.)

-Put all their points into charisma. They'll be your best friend, and charm you into giving them anything and everything they want from you.

-On the flip side, they're a goddman VIPER. If they decide they want to hurt you, they can and WILL find your deepest, most painful insecurities, and slowly pick and prod and scrape at them until it BREAKS you.

-And assuming you manage to NOT be fooled into thinking it's all your fault, no one else will believe you if you tell them about the bullying, as Selph has already charmed everyone else onto their side already...

-(Jackle had it... really, really, really bad... when Selph was still running around...)

-An absolute showman. Will take even the most mundane things and crank up the dramatics to 11! (Anything else is just too boring~!)

-They wish to be human. BADLY.

-After all, a human was the first step to Wizeman turning into who they are today. They want that power.

-They're currently locked up in a cage, deep in the darkest corner of the Nightmare Sea, as punishment for an attempted a plot to boost themselves to First Level status by killing and absorbing the essence of a just newly created NiGHTS and Reala.

-The plot was foiled by Jackle backstabbing them to protect his new siblings, allowing them to get caught and punished by Wizeman.

-They haven't been seen since. (Just waiting to be let out for when roleplay plot requires lol)

-(Needless to say, Jackle and Selph... very much despise each other...)
