More likely Basch than Rod, but they can both do it if they are tired enough. Rod was a bit of a workaholic in the late empire, so I wouldn't doubt that it happened.

Neither of them. Basch is a cranky man who stays to himself and can count the number of people he likes on one hand. Rod is allergic to close interpersonal relations, and his neighbors have all that imperial baggage when it comes to him.

Between the two of them, Rod is probably a bit more willing to try new things. But I don't think either the stuffy aristocrat or the Alpine hermit is really adventurous.

Roderich. He likes being warm and comfy and has done this to every single person he has ever shared a bed with.

Roderich. He has never done his own housework, and he's still having a rough time adjusting to not having an empire.

I wouldn't say that Rod sings in the shower, but he does compose in his head and hum in the shower, or a long bath if he's really trying to come up with something.

Neither. Let's be real. Liechtenstein is the only reason either of them ever got cellphones. She's in the 21st century, and they're both stubborn old men.

Usually Basch. He's meticulous and has a very particular way he wants things to go, and Rod is completely fine with letting him have his way.

It’s a skill, to look inside yourself, one you have mastered. The endless corridors and shifting thoughts are mapped to very carefully. This all takes time, of course. And those twisting hallways are so very difficult to map. It would be so easy to get lost. You know this space so well. Wouldn’t it be a lovely place to stay? So well-known and comforting. Why go back? How nice, how easy, to dissolve, to hide from the rest of the world and all the people in it. Why bother, when you are so good at looking inside yourself. Like enlightenment, the self. Retreating this far inwards is like retreating just as far out, into the vast ether. So comforting. The thing that was you looks at the thing that was the old woman. There is no you anymore. Full name: Basch Zwingli. Personification of Switzerland

Age: Pretty old

Bio: Known as the hermit of the world, Switzerland lives a life of neutrality after gaining his independence back in 1815 from France ( in short, France was the last fucking straw ). It’s a land of farming, the good cheese, tasty chocolate and reliable military. Much of his culture was shaped by those around him before declaring full neutrality, specifically France, Italy and the Germanic States, which is reflected in his ability to fluently speak their three respective languages aside from a few others.

Nowadays, Basch still tries to avoid any conflict, preferring to remain neutral as always. His only company is the nature of his homeland, his three pet goats and Liechtenstein, who he views as a little sister. If possible, he will spend as little money as possible for basic necessities such as food and appliances ( though he isn’t as stingy as other countries are about money ).

Modern verse. Basch is a simple man with a simple life -- since the day he told himself to stop getting involved in other people’s affairs during his first year of High School, his life became much more relaxing ( while at the same time it didn’t ) and pleasant. Even after his mother married again and Basch was suddenly a big brother to Erika, his new step-sister, he continued with his self-applied morals and objectives to stay on his lane and look after himself, but now Erika was part of the equation. 

Nowadays, as a young man in his early twenties, works as a waiter and delivery boy at his mother’s small restaurant. Erika also works there, as a full-on waitress and occasional cook. It’s implied that Basch will inherit the restaurant in a few years, which he doesn’t mind, but in the meantime, he tries to help with anything as a way to save money. Power went out? He can take care of it. The motorcycle used for deliveries stopped working? No problem, he knows his machines. Down one cook? He can fill in and still do his other chores. The sink is a mess? Don’t call a plumber, he’s got it. Erika tends to call him a jack-of-all-trades because of this.
