One of my particular sick freak things is fighting and bare knuckle boxing like idk i wanna get more people into it. Like getting into fights there's always this kind of thrill when the person you're fighting is really skilled, maybe kind of cute. Just fighting and the process of boxing training is incredible in itself because of the fact that you're equipping yourself to do something that most people are terrified to do. And honestly it's just like having sex, maybe in a different kind of way, maybe even a little bit better and more intimate. When you hook up with someone, ideally it's good feelings for a little while it's good while that lasted whatever not really an important experience. When you fight physically with someone it demands an emotional and physical intimacy that you do not get from just sex, if not from shared hatred and raw ambition and base survival. You can't imagine or fantasize about anyone else, hell you barely even have time to think, just split second windows to inflict pain. All of your attention is on that other person and you are moving to change them permanently. Literally the dom4dom dynamic of your dreams.

Modern bareknuckle boxing has gotten too glitzy. Too glamorized. Formal sporting halls? Rings? Rounds? Referees? Hand wraps? Multiple camera angles? Medical care?

If your version of bare knuckle boxing isn’t happening in a bar or shipyard in a 10x10 ring made of hay bales after both fighters showed up an hour late, piss drunk - I don’t want it!

Boxing is a sport that I always associated with my father's generation. The introduction of MMA and major fight organizations like the UFC completely changed fighting.

As a kid, I always found boxing to be boring. There are no wrestling or submission holds, chokes, or clenching; and no use of the elbows, knees, or kicks. Seemed weird to always stand and trade punches from the waist up to the head.

Then, I got to watch my first Muay Thai fight. Then, I watched more kickboxing, savate, sambo, pancrase, pankration, and BJJ. Wow. What a relief to see men and boys fight all out. It looks good, but it feels freaking awesome for those of us who have fought in the ring or cage.

Recent news says some MMA fighters are crossing over to boxing, but that's usually based on claims of poor pay and wages from major UFC or MMA Fight organizations. Maybe we're witnessing a resurgence of regulation boxing, but I doubt if it will ever replace MMA or kickboxing related sports.

Even more exciting is the recent fast growth of Bare Knuckles Boxing or bare fist fighting, which is awesome.
