So I have this idea for a 3d printed AR9 lower that would not be considered an "assault weapon" in California by means of having the magazine in the grip.

So I searched r/FOSSCAD to see if anyone else had the same idea and came across this work in progress.

I would consider this a Bullpup design, but unlike other Bullpups that I have heard have funky triggers the designer says they are using a 1911 as the basis for the lower.

Maybe with a bit more modeling it could take Glock mags or something with similar geometry.
