Watercolor Bar Mitzvah Card
Over the weekend, my son was graciously invited to a classmate’s Bar Mitzvah. Nobody in my family has ever attended one, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. Luckily, we’ve got a few friends (and a couple of art students) that know the ropes when it comes to such a special event so they walked us through the process. And it was super interesting. I’m actually bummed I didn’t get invited! My kiddo said it was really interesting to listen to the ceremony and watch his classmate read from the torah, reciting difficult passages. And both the luncheon and afterparties were more on the scale of a wedding is what he said. Tons of food, dancing, laughs, desserts.
From the sounds of it once he got home to seeing all the photos taken, it sure did look like a fabulous event!
I ended up painting this kiddo a card because I wanted to make something special for him (even though I never have even met this kid nor his family). And I’m happy with how it turned out, being the first time I’ve ever created one! Come take a look at the process and final result.

The Marvin Trilogy’s core message is about letting go of what we think our lives should be like. Marvin has to overcome his desire to keep his picture perfect family to fit into society. Trina has to let go of the way she wanted/was told her world would look (very Jewish, very middle class and very straight). Jason has to accept his parents for who they are, as well as accepting his life as a not so normal child. Whizzer has to accept that he loves Marvin, that he wants to settle down with his family and stop chasing the thrill of one night stands despite his persona as someone who only cares about sex and money. Cordelia feels less accomplished than Charlotte and has to learned to deal with that, to love her life as a chef while her girlfriend (wife?) is a Doctor.
This theme is exemplified by “Year of the Child”. This song, all about how perfect Jason’s Bar Mitzvah will be, turns out to be completely inaccurate. The characters give up the picturesque Bar Mitzvah because that’s not the reality of their lives, the Bar Mitzvah in the hospital room with a dying Whizzer Brown is.
I don’t know, it’s just sort of beautiful to think about these characters realizing they’ll be happier once they can finally let go of their expectations. Yes, the main character is Marvin and his struggle of accepting his homosexuality, but every character struggles to accept the cards they’ve been dealt in life (even Charlotte and Cordelia show this, despite their smaller amount of time on stage).

The Divination Trial
Tumblr media
Can I just gush for a minute about how good a metaphorical device for divination that Lilia's trial is? Because it is honestly a masterclass in allegory.
In traditional tarot, the suit of Swords represents the element of Air, which represents knowledge, thought, intelligence, and communication. Like a sword, thought and speech can be used to cut things. They can hurt: a slur or insult. They can attack: a debate, argument, lies. They can defend: evidence, support, truth. They can delineate sides: This is this, that is that. They can identify enemies (a sword pointed at you) or friends (a hilt offered to you): Them, Us. They set boundaries of time: Now, Then.
So the swords dangling above Lilia's trial are both metaphorical and literal looming knowledge. Lilia has the gift of foreknowledge: She knows the future. And that knowledge has, throughout her life, hurt her. The sword was too sharp, and she got cut whenever she tried to use it. So she "put it away," and stopped looking.
With each card placed down in the trial, a piece of knowledge is revealed--and a sword falls. The knowledge is "released" from the future hanging ominously above, and it can now hurt someone.
It is significant that during the trial, two swords almost do hit someone.
Agatha, when she is dealing, releases a sword that almost kills Billy. Knowledge is Agatha's weapon, even more than magic is. She knows the truth about Billy and the Road and has previously been very careful using that truth on him, even as she tries to manipulate the situation to her advantage. But in this scene, she is reckless and impatient--like the basement scene in Wandavision, she thinks she finally has Billy alone in his hex, and she's ready to push boundaries to get a response. She knows that divination is not actually a con--she already saw Lilia do it for real in episode 2. But Billy's imagination has painted her as the Wicked Witch in this trial, so she does what she does best and leans into the performance, trying to push Billy's mind into whatever it's going to do next to the Road.
And what does Agatha's manipulation of knowledge do? It almost kills Billy, with a literal metaphor sword falling straight at him.
The second sword that almost hits someone is Lilia reading for Billy. Now this is interesting, because Lilia has fanned the cards out on the table and is having Billy pick up the cards. As a divination practice, this is not necessary--the diviner can pick out the cards for the querent and still get the same result. By putting the cards on the table and letting someone else handle them, Lilia has metaphorically taken her hands off the knowledge. She hasn't yet learned her lesson, that is is her job and her calling to see these things. Letting someone else pick is "safer" because then she, herself, is not "responsible" for the knowledge that gets revealed; she's just interpreting the card, not picking it. But this is just another reflection of what her Maestra is trying to teach her: Lilia's task is to see, not to control, and by letting Billy pick his own cards, she's still trying to control the outcome by avoiding having a hand in it.
So Billy places down the "The Path Behind" card, and without even seeing what it is, the sword it releases almost kills Lilia. And the irony is--Lilia already knows! She already knows what the path behind Billy is! She saw it at William's bar mitzvah, and now the sigil is broken so she knows again. But because she wants to be hands-off still, the knowledge she already knows almost kills her. It is only her covenmate looking out for her--Agatha, the sharpest sword in the drawer!--that saves Lilia from herself, and needing covens is another truth that Lilia is turning away from.
The lesson is clear: Swords will never not be sharp. Knowing the future will never not hurt. Accepting people into your life in a coven will also never not hurt, especially when you can see their end before you even begin. But if Lilia can't learn to live with the pain of knowing--or accept help from a coven in dealing with it--it will kill her. Even if she refuses to look--with the ceiling descending--the knowledge will still kill her. Her being killed is inevitable. You cannot know the future without knowing endings, including your own. Knowing--not changing--the future is the power. And we see this play out allegorically! As soon as she starts reading for herself, pulling her own cards, accepting this power of knowledge, the swords stop falling individually but the ceiling also starts descending again. So the knowledge is inevitable, but seeing the information doesn't have to hurt if you handle it correctly and have support.
This makes it all the more poignant when the tower is turned upside-down. The knowledge is no longer looming overhead, but is now underfoot, clear and obvious. But that doesn't remove its danger. It only changes how you must deal with it. So Lilia hangs on to the table--the site of her most powerful act of divination--and that brief moment of hanging on is still an act of control. But this time, the knowledge that she will die has empowered her. It no longer scares her. And her job is to see, not to control. So she lets go. She accepts it, lets gravity pull her to the knowledge, and allows the knowledge of death to pierce her, both literally and metaphorically.
This is what divination is. This is what it means to be a Divination Witch.
And this is just a brilliant, brilliant piece of writing that needs to win all the awards.

Agatha All Along Episode 6: Easter Eggs & References
Tumblr media
Tower Reversed
Lilia’s Tarot Readings Are Weaving a Magical Web
Alright, folks, if you’ve been keeping track, Lilia’s tarot card game in Agatha All Along is officially on another level. In Episode 6, while doing a reading at William’s bar mitzvah, she drops “The Tower Reversed.” Now, if you’ve been paying attention to the tarot cards scattered throughout the series—and the promo cards (yes, they did that)—you know there’s more to it than a casual reading.
“The Tower” card? That blue crown we saw Teen rocking at the end of Episode 5? Yep, same one. And we’ve already seen the High Priestess tying back to Jennifer Kale in Episode 2 and the Knight of Wands matching up with Alice Wu-Gulliver in Episode 5.
So, what’s up with the Tower reversed? Well, it’s all about dodging disaster or going through a huge personal transformation—totally fitting for where things are heading in this magical chaos. Trust me, if Lilia’s pulling cards, it’s a sign things are about to go down (or maybe up?).
Early Argento Vibes
A Nod to the Master of Horror
So, in Episode 6 of Agatha All Along, we catch William complimenting Lilia’s palm reading tent, calling it “very early Argento.” Horror buffs, you know the deal—this is a clear shoutout to Dario Argento, the horror maestro behind classics like Deep Red, Tenebrae, and Phenomena. Argento’s influence is all about eerie atmospheres and vibrant, unsettling visuals, and it looks like Agatha All Along is taking a page straight out of his spooky playbook.
Tumblr media
Split Souls
Lilia’s Crystal Ball Teases William’s Dual Identity with a Sneaky Tarot Twist
When Lilia tells William his lifeline is broken in two, take a good look at her crystal ball. You’ll catch a glimpse of William as Billy, rocking his now iconic hoodie and sweater. That’s a nod to his future goth teen look as Billy Maximoff! What’s even cooler? The reflection is upside down, with the Tower and Wheel of Fortune cards inverted behind him. Those tarot reversals are no accident—they’re setting up some major life-altering moments for William. Lilia’s reading hints that his lifeline is split, describing it as “a new you,” but we know it’s a sign of something much bigger—William’s fate as someone who’s destined to hold two souls in one body, creating his dual identity.
Tumblr media
Teen’s Sigil
Lilia’s Crafty Magic at Work
Alright, Agatha All Along fans, Episode 6 just dropped a major witchy bomb—Lilia is the one who cast Teen’s sigil, hiding William’s true identity from every witch out there, including herself. This little spellwork went down right before Billy Maximoff’s spirit took over William’s empty body. So, if you’re wondering why Wanda couldn’t track down her kid in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, this is your answer: the sigil was already in place long before Billy inhabited that body. Lilia’s magic game is seriously next-level, and it’s all part of the tangled web we’re unraveling.
Tumblr media
Radio Echoes
A Throwback to WandaVision’s First Episode
As the Hex is shrinking and William is traveling home from his bar mitzvah with his parents at the beginning of Agatha All Along episode 6, they can hear both Vision and Wanda's voices on the radio. Likewise, the dialogue is specifically from the very first episode of WandaVision and its I Love Lucy/Dick Van Dyke Show homage. This aligns with the broadcasts that were picked up by SWORD agents outside the Hex, as was discovered by Darcy Lewis and Agent Jimmy Woo.
Tumblr media
Alice Wu-Gulliver’s Fate Flip
From Eastview Cop to Agatha’s Victim
In Agatha All Along, we get some juicy flashbacks that show William Kaplan was already connected to every witch in Agatha’s new coven long before the magic hit the fan. During his bar mitzvah, he got a hand reading from Lilia Calderu, and he was apparently a loyal subscriber to Jennifer Kale’s YouTube channel—where magic meets skincare (because who doesn’t love a good mystical exfoliant?). But here’s the twist: Alice Wu-Gulliver, who later becomes one of Agatha’s coven members, was actually the cop on the scene when William’s accident happened, working for the Eastview PD.
And just when you think you’ve seen it all, the show flips the script. In Episode 5, Alice tries to cast out Evanora Harkness’s ghost from Agatha’s body, sacrificing herself in the process. Agatha, being the power-hungry witch she is, siphons all of Alice’s magic and life force, leaving her for dead. It’s a full-circle moment: Alice witnesses William’s last breath, and years later, Billy Maximoff, reborn in William’s body, ends up watching Alice’s tragic end. It’s a fate-twisting, time-bending move that shows the witchy web Agatha’s been spinning all along.
Tumblr media
Whispers of Billy and Tommy
William Encounters Familiar Voices
Right after William's heart stops beating after the car crash, Billy and Tommy Maximoff's voices can be heard telling each other goodnight right before they disappear as Wanda brought down the Hex in WandaVision. However, Billy was able to find William's body as the closest empty vessel to inhabit, resulting in the split life that was foretold by Lilia at the bar mitzvah. However, there's hasn't been any indication as to what might have happened to Tommy's soul, revealed to be Billy's reason for walking down the Witches' Road.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Billy’s New Identity Unlocked
A Classic Wiccan Origin Twist in the MCU
Alright, MCU fans, they did it. When Billy wakes up in the hospital in Agatha All Along, he looks down and spots a medical bracelet with the last name “Kaplan.” That’s right—the show is borrowing straight from the comics, confirming that Billy Maximoff’s spirit has found its new home in the body of Billy Kaplan, just like in the original Marvel lore. And those familiar faces? William’s Jewish parents, Jeff and Rebecca Kaplan, are a perfect match for their comic book counterparts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
William’s Wall of Wonders
Hidden Gems of Magic and Adventure
As Billy explores William’s room, it’s like a trip down the ultimate retro rabbit hole. The walls are covered with posters from magic-infused and adventure-packed classics like Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, The Black Cauldron, and Bedknobs and Broomsticks. There’s even a poster for The Goonies—only, it’s oddly titled The Goofballs. Clearly, William had a thing for the magical and mysterious. And judging by his magic-themed bar mitzvah, he was all in on the fantasy vibes. Fast forward three years, and Billy’s transformed the room to reflect his Hex obsession and deep dive into witchcraft lore.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Westview Conspiracy
Billy Unveils What Really Happened with the Hex
When Billy shows his boyfriend Eddie his deep dive into the Hex, Eddie drops some serious intel: the Westview incident was officially explained away as an “Avengers training exercise gone wrong.” But Billy’s no rookie—he’s figured out the real story. Thanks to his research and a sharp eye for runes hidden within the Hex, Billy’s convinced that magic—not a superhero blunder—is behind the entire event. Talk about peeling back the layers of a cover-up!
Tumblr media
Guess Who’s Back? It’s Ralph!
Westview’s Ultimate Insider Spills the Tea
In a shady parking garage meetup, Billy’s mystery Reddit contact is revealed, and—surprise—it’s Evan Peters’ Ralph Bohner. You remember him—the guy from WandaVision who got duped into being fake Pietro and Agatha’s puppet husband. Now, he’s left Westview behind, still haunted by the mind games he endured during the Hex. And with this new alliance, it’s clear he’s ready to spill some secrets.
Tumblr media
What Really Happened to Sparky?
The Chilling Backstory You Didn’t See Coming
Brace yourselves—Ralph Bohner drops a bombshell about Sparky, the beloved dog from WandaVision. Remember when Agatha claimed she killed Sparky? Turns out, she forced Ralph to do the dirty work, making him poison the poor pup. It’s a gut-punch revelation that takes Agatha’s villainy to the next level. As if hexing an entire town wasn’t enough, she also made Ralph, under her control, hurt the most innocent of creatures.
Tumblr media
The Soundtrack of the Witches’ Road
Lorna Wu’s Magic Tune Takes Center Stage
In Agatha All Along Episode 6, as Billy digs into the mysteries surrounding the Hex and Agatha Harkness, Lorna Wu’s rendition of the “Witches’ Road Ballad” plays in the background. We first heard it performed in reverse during Episode 4 when Lorna’s daughter Alice and the rest of the coven sang it. But now, for the first time, we’re hearing the actual rock ballad as it was meant to be played. It’s eerie, it’s epic, and it’s the perfect witchy vibe for the MCU’s spookiest storyline yet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Billy’s Deep Dive Begins
333 Clues & a Hex of a Search
When Billy kicks off his search into Agatha Harkness, he types “Agatha Harkness Ancient Witch” into Looky and, surprise surprise, he gets exactly 333 partial results. And, if you’ve been paying attention, that 3:33 clock time from Episode 1’s interrogation scene suddenly clicks into place—definitely no coincidence there!
Among the search results, Billy stumbles upon The Macabre Wiki, an encyclopedia “created by two blood witches from Salem” that covers all things that go bump in the night. There’s also a Witchy Resource page that casually drops some intel about ancient witches and warlocks being “not well documented traditionally” (big shocker, right?) and hints that these mystical types have good reasons for keeping their secrets.
But here’s the real kicker—Billy finds an entry on how witches can choose their age and appearance, stopping their aging at will to stay looking thirty-something for centuries. Talk about defying time!
Finally, he hits up Dreadit and finds threads speculating on the Salem Witch Trials (SWT for short). One user points out that there are actual reports of witches surviving drowning and burning. Looks like Agatha’s ancient game of hide and seek is about to unravel, and Billy’s just getting started.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Agatha’s Dark Digital Footprint
From Salem to Jolene—The Witch Is Everywhere
As Billy dives deep into Agatha Harkness’s past, he uncovers some serious historical tea. He stumbles upon threads in the DreadIt forum—an underground community where users like “witchygirlblack” and “4thlevelwarlock” speculate about witches surviving the Salem Witch Trials. One post even mentions Evanora Harkness’s coven and hints that some of the young children escaped. When user “SamSamwitch” drops an image of Agatha Harkness, Billy follows the trail using Looky image search. What he finds is wild.
The search leads him to the Bellecross Daily Tribune, revealing that Agatha was listed as a missing resident after the Hindenburg disaster. But that’s not all—Billy finds a 1972 surveillance photo on a site claiming to show Dolly Parton with the “real Jolene.” Yep, someone’s suggesting Agatha was the homewrecker behind that iconic song, stirring up trouble with Dolly’s husband.
Digging deeper, Billy lands on Brujapedia, the self-proclaimed “Encyclopedia of Witches.” The site lays it all out—Agatha’s been spotted throughout history, from The Titanic to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1973. And the kicker? She’s got some seriously dark credentials: murdering her coven, possessing succubus powers, and being the only known survivor of the Witches’ Road.
As Billy reads on, Lorna’s Ballad starts playing, and he realizes he’s just scratched the surface of Agatha’s long, twisted legacy. This witch’s been weaving her chaos for centuries, and it’s all right there for anyone willing to follow the digital breadcrumbs.
Tumblr media
Agatha’s Fashion Swipe
Ralph’s Family Reunion Just Got Weird
In Agatha All Along Episode 1, when we revisit the interrogation scene through Billy’s eyes, we finally get the full picture of Agatha’s antics. Turns out, while she was under the spell thinking she was a detective, she was rocking a “Bohner Family Reunion” shirt the entire time. Looks like Agatha’s not above a little wardrobe theft—especially when it involves messing with Ralph’s life even more.

Episode 6
— I knew someone mentioned a bar mitzvah episode! I was excited for those of you who complain about the lack of Jewish characters in the MCU. Curious about Joe Locke’s pronunciation though. Only been to two and was like, ??? I already love Jeff and Rebecca and I am worried about them.
— Never have I been so happy to be wrong about the Sigil when I saw Lilia. I teared up. Then the first thing he said was. “Tommy,” and I legit cried. Then Alice showed up! I am too emotional.
— Eddie is very cute. I like you but you are not Teddy so I am worried about you too.
— I knew it was Evan Peters from the moment he said he met someone online. And then when I saw him in the bucket hat, I laughed so hard because YouTube nerds insisted the guy in the bucket hat was Mephisto and, again, I love when they are wrong. And I kind of want the Bohner Family reunion t shirt Agatha had?
— Also! In further, nerds are wrong news. The “missing” names in the title cards aren’t Elizabeth Olsen or Sacha Baron Coen. It’s Jeff, Rebecca, Boyf and Evan Peters. I guessed Jeff and Rebecca. Didn’t count on two on each card. Alas. But I am right-er.
— And Joe Locke said next week was better. I am already vibrating.

Agatha All Along - Episode 6 "Familiar By Thy Side"
The Tower Reversed - Our first explicit mention of a Reverse reading, this one's triggered as Lilia reads Billy Kaplan's palm during his Bar Mitzvah. As I've said in past tarot posts, I'm an amateur, so I could be misinterpreting/missing things in my analysis. I do my best.
LET'S F'ING GO.
So starting with the obvious. The Tower is a notoriously scary card, and Reversed readings are often thought to be more negative, but it's not true in this case. The Tower Reversed is mostly about a personal transformation, a HUGE one. Like the upright reading, upheaval and change is a huge part of it, but Reverse is mostly internal. Billy Kaplan is about to become something more; he becomes Billy Maximoff. The upheaval in his life is so great, he doesn't really know WHO he is. Tower Reversed can also indicate an existential crisis, which is Billy in spades.
The thing about ANY reading of the Tower, is that the change is inevitable. There will be upheaval, whether one likes it or not, but the Reversed reading suggests that disaster can be avoided. In this case, Billy Kaplan is going to die in a car crash, Billy Maximoff is going to be unmade, but true disaster is avoided when the two events happen simultaneously. Neither of them is truly gone-gone. There's a reason both Billy Kaplan and Billy Maximoff are names protected by the sigil.
The thing that's clear to me is while Lilia was spooked by what she read in his palm at first, the Tower Reversed (and whatever else his palm said) was enough to tell her that he was going to survive in some fashion and would need protection from people like her. (Or Agatha, or Wanda even; who knows?) I hope we get to see what she sees when we get to her trial.
The thing I also want to talk about, is why she specified Reversed, when Upright could just as easily applied to the situation at hand. After all, Billy Kaplan didn't cause the car accident that killed him, Wanda was the one who undid the spell that had brought Billy Maximoff into existence in the first place. So one could definitely argue that those fall under more of an Upright reading; destruction, chaos, upheaval. Especially given Wanda's magic was explicitly labeled as Chaos Magic. I think its because the writers of the show are trying to tell us something; that the death and destruction that make up HOW Billy came to be is far less important than WHO he is; which is simply a boy becoming a man, and trying to figure out who he is and what he wants in the world. The whole Billy Kaplan/Billy Maximoff thing is a metaphor for a coming-of-age, and calling out the Tower Reversed is as much of a tell as setting the whole thing the day of his Bar Mitzvah.
One last note; I'm so pleased that The Tower came into play again, after it showed up in a promo poster which has Lilia holding the card Upright. My guess is that it's there to indicate a couple of things; 1)Lilia's the Divination Witch (and Tarot's a big part of that), 2)We can expect some form of chaos and destruction, 3)Definitely a nod to the fake "Coven of Chaos" Title. But I think the poster was a nod to the usage in episode 6, and the connection Lilia has to Billy, only with a slight misdirect by having it Upright instead of Reversed. And while I think that probably has more to do with readability and clarity than anything else, I wonder if some of that was to throw people off the track. IMO Tower Upright invites a pretty shallow, general take when thrown onto something like a Marvel promo poster. Tower Reversed, because it indicates that someone making these posters knows more than the bare minimum about Tarot and is using it to plant clues about the show, invites a LOT more speculation.
This post went a lot longer than I thought, but I hope you all enjoyed it, and if you want to check out my analysis of the Tarot cards from past episodes:

do you have any outsiders hc’s you’d like to ramble about because i will so read them
i have so many actually
steve is latino in my head. like there is no other possibility. strangely i haven't chosen a country (tbh all latino characters i make up are chilean bc my parents are chilean and like... projecting) but there is no doubt in my mind that he's latino
his mom spoke spanish and now he has Issues with speaking spanish
also the curtis brothers are jewish. ponyboy's the most religious of any of them. he would've done his bar mitzvah like four months before his parents died, i think, and that was like the turning point. before that he didn't really have much of an opinion (the family as a whole isn't all that religious), but after that he started going to the synagogue more often.
steve and soda are so gay for each other
ponyboy is aroace, and depending on how i'm feeling darry can be aroace, gay, straight, or bi. real wild card lmao. soda's alloace and that definitely plays into his dynamic with sandy and god i need to write that analysis
also this is completely random but like... evie and marcia. idk if i ship them but i want to explore their dynamic so much despite neither of them really existing in canon
i think that's all but thank youu for the ask <333333

To me, the most significant detail about the card game is that they never finish playing it.
Marvin's the first to put down his cards. He's clearly aching share how he feels before it's too late, but every time he veers too far into vulnerable territory Whizzer's focus turns back to his hand. Marvin keeps trying, even conceding his love for Whizzer (for the first time, if you ask me) but it isn't enough. He's still deflecting. Marvin hovers over his discarded hand, then, deliberating whether or not to slip back into familiar territory, but instead he fully drops the facade. He shows how truly scared he is, begs Whizzer to help him feel less alone in his fear. Only then is Whizzer finally able to drop the cards and stare down the barrel of reality beside his lover; only then does he show his cards; only then are they truly able to comfort each other.
This moment is the reason Whizzer is able to accept his fate with his head high. It's the reason he's able to spend one last beautiful scene content with his family rather than wanting to crawl out of his skin from the looks on their faces.
This moment is the reason Marvin is able to stop clamoring for the things he wants and work towards the things he wants. It's why he's able to give up his vice grip on the bar mitzvah and focus on what really matters: the incredible young man they're celebrating.

Agatha All Along Ep 6 (SO MANY SPOILERS):
- I *called it* on him looking for his brother and I'm THRILLED about it
- Agatha comes out of the mud but they assume Billy killed the rest?
- MCU! GAY! KISS!
- Having the Bar Mitzvah be the entire process and not just the party part is so important to me. Especially the "you're becoming a (new) man" part
- Absolutely had no idea regarding who put the sigil on him. I get that they had to throw it in somewhere but a Bar Mitzvah would have been the most inappropriate place to have any sort of divination, even if they think it's for funsies
- William recognizing the tarot cards pre-witchy phase was hilarious to me though
- The cop in Wandavision from Eastview had no idea that Westview existed during the Hex. But ALL of the Eastview residents (during the Bar Mitzvah) do??
- THAT WAS EVAN PETERS AS RALPH, RIGHT??? I'm all suspicious there. (And Agatha admitted to directly killing Sparky, right??)
- So... Billy was the black heart b/c Lila didn't know his name? Or is it still Rio as the resident Green Witch?
- WHERE! IS! RIO!
- William/Billy meeting most of them in advance was prime storytelling
- "Please, I don't want to go back in the closet"
- Don't wanna underestimate Lila. That sigil was strong enough to evade even Wanda in MoM.
- Kathryn Hahn is such a good actress. The way you can see just how hurt Agatha is by lacking Billy's trust without a single word from her was just beautiful
- But while at it: The switch in Teen/Billy's attitude toward her changed so so quickly – which I get given Alice's death but it was such a strong and visceral change from a character that has done nothing but study, seek out, and defend Agatha every moment before this. Is it because he crushed the sigil and got his Wanda-era memories back? Even that doesn't feel like it fits here.
- WE DIDN'T GET MORE OF WICCAN'S CROWN HERE AND I'M SAD ABOUT IT

Agatha all along episode 6 Part one
Familiar by thy side
It was beautiful and honestly answered a lot more questions than I expected it to do.
Seeing Agatha from Teens perspective was hilarious.
Both Williams was handled very beautifully and Joe did a fantastic job!
The chair that resembles a toilet seat at William’s Bar Mitzvah really throws me out of it though. I’ve seen it about six times now and I just can’t with that chair. Who saw that chair and went, yes this is it?!
Billy is going through a blue drapery to get to a mostly red space about his future. I see what you did there.
Also I love the lamp
Lilia herself in gold and blue, no necklace.
Very nice blue and red colours together in Lilia’s tent.
Also notice the tower tarot card, representing Sudden change, upheaval, chaos, revelation and awakening.
And The wheel of fortune card, representing karma, good luck, life cycles, destiny and turning points. Notice that I’m not a that good at tarot so I may get it wrong.
Also more sun symbolism with Lilia
Upside down Billy
Lilia says the tower reverse, a big personal change and transformation coming. Make total sense
Lilia just remembering something, once again, kin implies she exists out of time, what is time for her, how does she experience it, can she affect it?
I yelled when Billy said he loved the vibe in the tent, very early Argento. I had to take a break.
Argento, the director and writer of Suspiria, the witch movie which was the inspiration for episode 4.
This is huge! This indicates that it’s actually Billy that keep the road in movie/tv-themes, not Wanda or any leftover of her spells. Which we also see mote of later in the episode.
Of course, now we have new questions.
Like does he know?! Or is he trying to cope with losses like his mom?
The sigil is interesting, (not just because it’s a beautiful nod as a W or WW) but does it hide Tommy too? Since neither Wanda or Billy can find him. Also notice how later Agatha will say there are two of you, implying the are one or two pieces of a whole.
Why does Lilia want to hide them?
Interesting that the radio air the first episode of WandaVision.
William shouting “mom, look out” as they get in the car crash. Don’t touch me!
And the dome and the dead tree by the car. Beautiful but hurts.
Red glass shards. Once again beautiful but hurts.
Bye Tommy
ALICE! Good to see you darling!
Greg knowing what’s up.
WILLIAM/BILLY’s room!
His signature blue
The movie posters and the actual wizard of oz toys in his bookshelf.
I started writing down all the movie posters but some were obvious or too hard to make out so I let it go.
Eddie being cute.
Freak like momma.
And he taking everything Billy tells him better than I would have.
Nice trans flag.
Now as he have grown up, it’s all horror movies and the occult.
We’re off to my second scream and had to take a break in this episode.
But first, their usernames? lol. They worked hard on those two.
Ralph/Randall/Pietro/Peter (in my culture we have a saying that goes, a loved child has many names.) You are doing great sweetheart!
I gotta admit I thought they were gonna let us wait for VisionQuest to see him again. I’m thrilled!
Not really a fan of the red hair they gave him but, I get it. It matches Wanda
Also, love his stealth, very stealthy.
Nope, sorry Ralphie, can’t call a a kid Bub when you willingly goes online as Bohnerrific69. There are rules. And also made me google that just to get the spelling correctly.
Notice how he talk about Wanda, ge calls it sad but he talks gently about her and the one he is actually actively angry about is Agatha.
Also notice how when Billy asks about if it changed him or if he can do stuff now, he gets very serious for a moment and ask him what he is talking about.
Billy, I need to know if that water actually hurt you.
And never, ever yell Mr. Bonherrific.
I really can’t make out what Ralphie is shaking? First. Thought it was mr Dibbles or hoped. lol
The market value? Hon, she is still in the house! Priorities here.
My sweet baby, but yeah, keeping Monica in the attic was a bit much.
RIP Sparky. It was Ralph all along.
Speedster and mind reading brother. Babies!
Wanda is dead, sure jan.
Not the blu-ray collection!!!
Another movie buff in the Maximoff family. I get emotional writing this.
Agatha can keep his Bow-Flex, thread mills. Funny, not liked he needs it.
Go to his one man show in Paramus please!
Dreadit lol
Down the road baby!

Agatha All Along Is So Good: Episodes 6 & 7
Tumblr media
It has been two weeks since my last discussion about my thoughts on Agatha All Along. I wanted to wait until now to share my speculations and reflections. Last night, I watched episode 7, which, in my opinion, is the best episode so far. It truly tugged at my heartstrings. In episode 6, the focus was on Teen, who we now know is Billy. Episode 7, on the other hand, delved into the bigger question surrounding Lilia. Before I delve into that, I must say that this show has truly opened my eyes to the intricacies of the Witches Road. Like many others, I am also speculating whether this is another case of Wanda Vision.
What do I mean by that? A theory suggests that Billy might have unconsciously created an imaginary version of the Witches Road, similar to how Wanda ensnared Westview and brought her TV show fantasies to life. This theory would explain why Agatha told Teen that he resembled his mother, Wanda.
Tumblr media
In episode 6, we finally see what happened and how Billy is still alive. We discover he is currently inhabiting a body named William Kaplan. On the day the barrier came down after the intense battle between Wanda and Agatha, Billy’s parents were trying to drive to safety when they veered off the road and crashed into a tree. The backseat passenger side, where William was seated, was severely damaged. As a viewer, I realized the kid would not be alright. True to my expectations, we hear the sound effects of his heartbeat slowing down, and his mother, trapped on the driver-side, immediately notices that her son has stopped breathing. I appreciated the inclusion of when William’s heart stops, as it signified his death. Then, we see Billy taking his first breath through William’s body, looking confused. I particularly liked the scene where he gazes into the reflection in the ambulance, seemingly unfamiliar with his own appearance.
Tumblr media
Before the crash, William and his family were celebrating his bar mitzvah. And guess who was doing divination readings at the party? It was Lilia. This marked a significant turning point in their intertwined fate. William received his reading from Lilia, and it was ominous. Lilia mentioned his lifeline was split and even blurted out the reverse tower card. She also advised him to live in the present moment. From this, I gathered that she already had some knowledge of what would happen to him. However, what truly struck a chord was the mystery of the sigil. Lilia was the one who gave him the sigil. William accidentally left his coat in her tent when he left, and she took a stone and drew the sigil, placing it in his coat pocket. She promptly forgot his name and handed it to someone at the party, claiming that someone had left it behind, but she couldn’t recall who when asked. Naturally, during the evacuation of the party, William’s coat was in the car, and that’s when the accident occurred, completely altering his life. Now, why did Lilia give him the sigil? That question was answered in episode 7. But before I delve into that, let me conclude the discussion on the characters’ fateful connections. Guess who the responding officer was when William’s father flagged down help after the crash? It was Alice, the officer who came to assist.
During the three years when Billy was adjusting to life as William without any memory of his true identity, he managed to build a life for himself, including having a boyfriend and developing an interest in Witchcraft. Billy even followed Jen on social media and was intrigued by the products she made. However, there is something suspicious about The Witches Road that seems to be a product of Billy’s imagination. When Billy first entered William’s room, by the way, I’ll treat them as separate characters in one body for this analysis, the room was decorated with various pop-culture items, featuring light colors and a tidy appearance. There were posters of classic films like the Wizard of Oz and toys representing iconic characters. But later on, the room becomes darker and more cluttered, with the poster of Lorna Wu and playing The Ballad of the Witches Road in the background. This transformation in the room mirrors the confusion and clutter in the merging of Billy and William’s identities. Interestingly, the items in the room also appear in the trials. This connects to Agatha’s reaction when she first entered the Witches Road in episode 2, where she seemed bewildered. It’s possible that Agatha had once walked the Witches Road, but the one they are currently on is not the actual road.
After watching episode 7 and considering the Mid-season Trailer, I’m starting to believe the speculation that the road is a creation of Billy’s mind, which opens up the idea that our characters might not be dead. In the mid-season trailer, we see Alice waking up on the floor after Agatha’s trial, but that scene wasn’t in episode 7. So that means Alice will appear again in one of the last 2 episodes.
As I mentioned earlier in this blog, episode 7 shifts its focus towards Lilia. Lilia is the one who gave William the Sigil at the party, knowing that William would die and Billy would take over his body. Her intention behind this was to give Billy some time to adjust to his new life without any Witches detecting him. We later discover, through Agatha, that once the sigil was no longer necessary, every witch with even the slightest heartbeat could hear him. Lilia was trying to spare him from that.
Tumblr media
Throughout the season, we also learn that Lilia is incredibly old and has used the craft to prolong her life. She has a quirky and whimsical personality, often spacing out during each episode, but she possesses a great deal of wisdom and serves as the heart of the group. In episode 3, we witness her fear of death when she has a hallucination of an older lady sitting at a table, with a dark, skull-faced figure appearing behind her. When Agatha snaps her out of the trance, Lilia blurts out that they are all dead. In episode 7, we discover that her entire coven and family perished from a fever. Lilia discusses this with her grandmother, in her mind traveling moments, who is also her divination teacher, and we learn that Lilia’s ability causes her consciousness to float through her timelines in a non-linear order, resulting in gaps in her memory. When her consciousness enters the body of her younger self on the first day her grandmother taught her divination using tea leaves, her grandmother switches from speaking Sicilian to English, which Lilia understands. This exchange reveals an interesting family trait of consciously traveling or, as her grandmother described it, visiting. We also come to understand that Lilia has been ignoring her powers. Despite being a powerful divination reader, she feels that something is missing in her life. As her grandmother points out, every witch needs a coven. Lilia longs for her coven, but her original one died, despite her forewarning. This experience has discouraged her from seeking out connections. Lilia confides in Jen, revealing that all she sees is death. Throughout this season, we observe Lilia struggling to get along with the new coven members: Jennifer, Alice, Agatha, and Teen/Billy. I won’t consider Sharon as a member of the coven because I don’t think she was meant to be there with them. Why? Well, it’s because of Lilia’s flashback moments in episode 7 that help clarify certain doubts.
During a flashback, we are shown the eviction sheet with all the names for Agatha to find her coven. I noticed that the drawn black heart was not just an outline, but it was filled in to represent a black heart. In Episode 1, Rio reveals that she has a heart, a black one that beats for Agatha. This made me believe even more that Rio was destined to be part of the journey. And then, during Lilia’s trial, she had to read her own tarot card and we officially learn that Rio is Lady Death and The Original Green Witch. So, all this time, they were walking alongside death.
Tumblr media
The episode is titled “Death’s Hand In Mine,” but I don’t perceive it as something ominous or fearful. Personally, death is not a taboo subject and not something that I fear. It reminds me of a quote from Lilia’s vision of Rio: “All roads lead to me.” To me, this quote represents a broader philosophical idea that all existence eventually comes to an end, which is death. It is a natural part of the cycle of life, including death and rebirth. Therefore, when I consider the title and connect it with Lila’s fears, particularly her fear of death, it makes sense to me that the last scene is about acceptance. “Death’s hand in mine” suggests that she had to embrace death and acknowledge that her time was coming to an end.
Tumblr media
Lilia’s visions grew stronger as she felt her life drawing to a close, or so she believed. But what truly touched me was how she faced it, especially towards the end of this episode. She selflessly sacrificed herself to protect her new coven, choosing to confront the deadly Salem 7 all on her own. Amongst the group, she stood out as the most compassionate character, which perfectly matched the outfit she wore during the trial, where she cosplay’d as Glinda the Good Witch. When she turned over the tower card and watched all seven of those black-cloaked ladies meet their impaling demise, it brought tears to my eyes. She had chose Agatha, Jen, Alice, and Billy to be her new coven and did everything in her power to shield them from harm in that critical moment. By doing so, she ensured they could continue their endeavors without being relentlessly hunted. That’s why, as she clung to the table and eventually let go, falling to her death, there was a sense of peace in her expression. In that moment, her consciousness traveled back to her younger self. Sitting at the table with her grandmother, she smiled, a departure from her usual look of worry and fear. In that moment, she fully embraced her power as a witch and stopped ignoring it. Now, the Salem 7 are no more, or at least that’s what we believe, although maybe all of this might be a figment of Billy’s imagination.
Tumblr media
Just like in the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy woke up to find that everyone she cared about was safe and sound. It would be quite amusing if this turned out to be a situation where Billy had simply imagined it all. However, I believe there is more to the story. It’s possible that the Salem 7 may have perished, but perhaps Lilia managed to survive somehow. The reason I say this is because of something Lilia mentioned in episode 3. Even when their faces were swollen from the poison, she expressed her love for them. That particular line stands out to me. It was said during a flashback as well, but it seems out of place. Nevertheless, we do know that Lilia provided us with some insight into what will happen in the last two episodes. She told Agatha, “When she calls you a coward, hit the deck.”
Based on the mid-season trailer, it seems there will be a heated battle between Rio and Agatha. It’s like a once-in-a-lifetime domestic dispute that I’m eagerly anticipating. Lilia may be involved in this situation, although it’s hard to say for sure since she could be dead, . But I'm riding on the theory of this being a Wanda Vision situation. In addition, there are scenes of Jen emerging from the ground and Alice waking up. While we don’t witness Lilia’s death directly, she now has a clear understanding of what happened and has fully embraced her power. So, I want her to be alive.
Episode 7 was particularly moving and sad because Lilia was the heart of the coven. She had the ability to read each member within the cards and accept them as part of her coven, which allowed her to perceive things clearly and know what needed to be done. Her final words to Jen, “I loved being a witch,” despite the pain it caused her, were truly touching. Their bond, with Lilia even considering Jen a sister in their craft, melted my heart. Especially when Lilia expressed her need for Jen’s help, even though Jen had the option to leave. There were two underground paths revealed, one leading to the trial and the other to a failed metro system network. This made me question the authenticity of the witches road. It was intriguing that Jen and Lilia ended up in the underground network beneath the so-called witches road. Moreover, when Billy expressed his wish for Lilia to be there with him and Agatha, it seemed that Lilia and Jen could enter the trial. The path through the bookshelves was already prepared for them, which struck me as odd. However, the main point is that our struggling coven is gradually becoming more unified, and the truth will be revealed in the final two episodes next week.
I also wanted to point out that I’ve noticed a change in Jen lately. She has become less focused on herself and more interested in connecting, especially with Lilia. Her attitude had really shifted, and she seemed genuinely interested in learning more about Lilia and her powers. What surprised me the most, though, was when Jen helped Lilia during the trial to assist Billy and Agatha. In the past, Jen would have probably walked away, but Lilia’s plea of sisterhood had a profound effect on her. I can already imagine that in the next episode, Jen will take the loss the hardest because she had gotten to know Lilia on a deeper level than the others. However, I still don’t know the full extent of Jen’s powers. All I know is that she was somehow bound in the past. Like Lilia and Alice, I believe that Jen’s lack of belief in her gifts may be because of a mental block more than an external force binding her. Lilia suppressed her own powers until she couldn’t ignore them anymore, and Alice had blocked out the reality of her powers since her mother’s death. Billy, on the other hand, struggles to control his powers, but his focus is on finding his brother Tommy. Agatha, too, is not behaving like her usual self. She has become more distant than ever since Billy revealed his powers, and she is vulnerable without any powers to protect herself. It’s fascinating to see the layers of these characters gradually being revealed throughout the show.

Thinking about Agatha All Along as a horror show. These characters are living a horror in a similar way to how the main character in Get Out is living a horror. All these women have or are experiencing the worst oppression that society or experiences of womanhood or this road called life has thrown at them.
Lilia's is being a forgotten woman, always disregarded and gaslit for her incredible divination talent because of how it manifests. A lot of viewers comment about how could she know that Agatha had to duck when Rio through the sink at her, and I want to shout "because she divined it"!
Since episode seven, many people see her living out of time as her main magic. But that's not it! She divined the names of the coven true (she knew they were a true coven from the start, and Death and Sharon were not part of it). She divined the tarot reading for herself and the coven so perfectly. She divined the deah of her old coven. She divined every single one of the tarot cards she would need for her trial. She divined that Jen was bound as soon as she looked at her. She knows a lot about Billy from William's tarot reading at his Bar Mitzvah (she doesn't reveal what that is but she divines and intuits that he is a good person so would likely never have blamed him for subconsciously creating a dangerous road. She calls him baby twice, once as William and the other aa Billy and to me that means that she has real affection for him).
Jen has been stripped of her agency and her knowledge in a science field is stolen and disregarded. She is disregarded for being a woman and Black and has been flippantly paralysed by a white woman (pretty similar to the Black characters in Get Out).
Alice is the result of the unique generational trauma that comes from being the daughter of an immigrant woman. The horror of discovering that what she thought was her mother's paranoia and mental illness, was in fact completely true with added demonic horror on top of that.
Agatha's horror is the loss of a child. I can't think of a worse horror of having so much magical power but watching your child die from a sickness that you know there are cures for. But you can't bring yourself to trust other witches enough. I love the theory that Billy is her trial and that he has taught her to love again and in a way be forgiven by Nick, by proxy.
Billy's horror is that he stole William's actual life and his perfect family. He has yet to face that trial- though maybe by going through putting his brother willingly and deliberately in another boy's body, he's come to some sort of acceptance about that.

just got off a flight from my 13yo cousin's bar mitzvah... let's just say it was not fun! excited for some cute fluff to brighten my day :)
“Your girlfriend is sick, and I swear I’m about to strangle her in two seconds.”
and what's the only solution when p is being annoying? put her with the one person she won't yell at
refusing to go back to bed or take medicine
she just doesn't want to take her medicine (iykyk from azzi's yt channel)
She knew Paige could be the worst patient—stubborn, usually restless, and convinced she didn’t need help.
azzi is this white girl bothering you
Paige barely lifted her head, her voice raspy as she mumbled, “I’m not sick.”
why of course not! everyone is experiencing a shared mass hallucination
“Nope. Not taking that shit.”
she's so annoying im so sorry azzi
Paige’s lips turned down into a deep pout. “No… it’s not tasty.”
you're 23 years old babe...
Paige shook her head stubbornly, burrowing further into the covers. “Then I don’t want it.”
she's literally acting more like a child than her own child in your other universes
Paige groaned, turning her face into the pillow like a child refusing to eat their vegetables. “I don’t wanna,”
like a child? hell she IS a child
Azzi finally pulled out her wild card, her voice turning more serious. “You know if you don’t get ahead of this, you’re gonna miss a game.”
I was boutta say that az should just tell her that since she's sick they can't kiss and I know she would take that shit like a shot
Paige scowled. “I hate you.”
Paige lets ALL be real right now..
Azzi smiled. “Good girl.”
not while she's sick you silly girl
But instead of taking it, Paige mumbled, “Can you feed me?”
azzi is this fake blonde with practically black roots bothering you
“I’m starving!” Paige interrupted, slumping back into the pillows.
Paige please ur lowkey pmo rn
Paige smiled as she whispered, “I know. Super lucky.”
at least she's aware
Without hesitation, Paige pressed her cheek to Azzi’s chest, content with the warmth
everything is so natural with them its so sweet
Azzi laughed quietly. “Baby you’re the drama queen of our relationship.
azzi's been stuck with this girl for nearly 8 years
Azzi smiled down at her, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “I know, baby. But you’re going to get better.”
so adorable I love these cuties
Azzi’s heart melted at the softness in Paige’s words. She leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to Paige’s forehead. “I know beautiful.”
love some complimenting to p instead of her being the complimenter
“Get some rest, baby. I’m right here.”
tears in my eyes
Azzi had been lying there awake for a while, absentmindedly running her fingers through Paige’s hair as she slept.
she's awake but not moving cuz she doesn't wanna wake p🥹
Azzi sighed, rubbing small circles into Paige’s damp back under the hoodie. “Paige. Wake up for me please, baby.”
and of course she'll sit up after this one
Azzi smirked, pressing a kiss to Paige’s temple. “Yeah, you are.”
LMAO
“Okay, just lay down for a little longer. I’ll get everything ready.”
she's so sweet to this drama queen I could never
Azzi rolled her eyes as she passed by. “I’ll kick your knee in Aubrey.”
WOAH that's an insult you never wanna hear
“You’re too good to me,” she murmured.
you don't even know
“Come in with me.”
don't be trying to get azzi sick too miss paige bueckers
“M’ too weak. I can’t. I need help,” she said while attempting her best puppy dog eyes.
paige don't try to lie your way into getting something lmao
Paige latched onto her, her arms winding tight around Azzi’s waist as she buried her face in her neck.
she might be the most clingy person in the world
Paige cracked one eye open. “I was using my resources.”
Paige PLEASE
Azzi pointed. “Your nose is running. You look so cute.”
I don't think those two sentences have ever been said next to each other
Paige shot her a tired glare, but it held no real heat. “M’not. I’m sexy.”
I know DAMN well you are not saying that in THIS moment
“Alright, princess, hold still.”
princess Paige?!
What kind of grown woman begs to be lotioned?”
Paige Bueckers why of course
Paige’s eyes flickered over her, gaze appreciative. “You just look good doing that.”
she can't survive a pbaz7 chapter without saying something freaky
“Time for round two.”
unfortunately not the kind us heat check people want
Paige groaned, shaking her head as she clung to Azzi’s arm. "Don’t wanna. Just wanna cuddle."
she's so annoying azzi's a saint
"You still like me so I don’t care."
-🍉
she just doesn't want to take her medicine (iykyk from azzi's yt channel)
yup ‍↕️
azzi is this fake blonde with practically black roots bothering you
oh wowww
Azzi rolled her eyes as she passed by. "I'll kick your knee in Aubrey."
WOAH that's an insult you never wanna hear
lmaoo it’s from a live
I don't think those two sentences have ever been said next to each other
i can attest that they have
