🔥🔥2023 Toyota bZ4X 🔥🔥 bZ4X is the official name of Toyota’s first battery-electric vehicle since its experiment with a Tesla-powered Toyota RAV4. Initial U.S. sales will be concentrated in California and a few other EV-friendly states, but the new electric crossover eventually will be available in all 50 states. For the bZ4X, though, some of the edges and creases have been softened, providing a softer look than the RAV4. The gently curved hood drops sharply to a grille-less front fascia with knife-slit narrow LED lights. The roof slopes slightly to the rear, where a light bar spans the back end and trapezoidal shapes draw the eye from the taillights to the rear wheels. Altogether, it gives the bZ4X a wide, muscular stance.
The cargo bay behind the rear seats is about the same size as the Toyota Venza‘s 28.8 cubic feet, much less than the 37.6 cubic feet in the similar-sized RAV4. Like the Venza, the bZ has a rear liftgate window that leans sharply forward, cutting into the space provided by a more traditional SUV-crossover’s upright liftgate. The front-wheel-drive variants of the bZ4X get a 201-horsepower electric motor with 195 pound-feet of torque. The dual-motor (one on each axle) all-wheel-drive versions get a slight boost to 215 total hp and 248 lb-ft. That gives the bZ fairly leisurely acceleration. Toyota reports it will take 7.7 seconds from zero to 60 mph for the dual-motor versions and 8.4 seconds for the single motors. Power is stored in a lithium-ion battery pack with 71.4 kWh total capacity for the single-motor version, 72.8 kWh for the two-motor models. On a 240-volt charger, the type used for charging at restaurants, shopping malls, museums, and movie theaters, the bZ4X’s onboard 6.6-kilowatt charger can refill a depleted battery in about 9 hours. An 11-kW charger, reportedly coming in late 2022, would take 6 hours. The bZ will use a liquid cooling system for its batteries, and Toyota says it is aiming for 90 percent of capacity remaining after 10 years of driving 15,000 miles a year. Toyota says the longest-range version of the bZ4X will deliver up to 250 miles per charge. The average driver in the U.S. covers less than 30 miles a day. And, according to Toyota, most EV buyers also have a gas-burning vehicle that can handle long-distance driving. But several competitors are about to launch similarly sized electric crossovers with up to 300 miles of range and, in many shoppers’ minds, more is better, especially if there’s not much cost difference. Likely rivals in the current market are the Chevrolet Bolt EUV, some trims of the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the Nissan Leaf Plus, and the Volkswagen ID.4. Coming in 2022 are the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Nissan Ariya, and Subaru Solterra. ¨C14C

Hyundai UK opens hotel V2L-powered by Ioniq 5 EVs
If you’re in the UK and looking to experience a completely off-the-grid hotel experience, Hyundai has the perfect solution for you. The Korean carmaker is now taking bookings at its “Hotel Hyundai” which is claimed to offer guests the opportunity to experience the “world’s first car-powered hotel”. This hotel is located in the Essex countryside and is entirely powered by Hyundai Ioniq 5s with vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology. For more Motoring related news and videos check out Motoring >> V2L technology, which is also available on vehicles such as the Kia EV6, Kia Niro, BYD Atto 3, and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, allow owners to use the high-voltage battery to power appliances when away from a power source. The concept has been curated by Hyundai alongside British broadcaster and critic Grace Dent, and includes a “high-end luxury cabin”, bar, restaurant, and cinema. This Hotel Hyundai pop-up will be open for 14 nights from October 19 to November 5. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 can power the hotel and its experiences using its V2L feature that supplies 250V AC power up to a maximum of 3.6kW power consumption. There’s an adaptor that comes with the car that plugs into the exterior charging port and provides a socket into which standard domestic appliances can be plugged into. Hyundai also recently introduced a second V2L port with a domestic power plug to Australian Ioniq 5 models, like the forthcoming Ioniq 6, inside the car underneath the rear seat. It’s unclear if we will ever see this kind of off-the-grid hotel concept pop up in Australia. In terms of other similar projects that use electric vehicle components to assist in powering infrastructure, Nissan recently announced it’s repurposing first-generation Leaf batteries to partially power the production of Leaf components at the Nissan Casting Australia Plant in Dandenong, Victoria. The circular economy project, dubbed Nissan Node, is being completed in partnership with Melbourne-based energy storage company Relectrify. The nine repurposed Nissan Leaf batteries aren’t expected to fully power the NCAP facilities, as it’s still connected to electricity from the grid. At this stage the Nissan Node project is set to be completed by the end of 2022. Another similar project is a trial with the Eastern Japan Railway Company and 4R Energy Corporation using repurposed Nissan Leaf batteries on a railway crossing in Japan. Genesis confirms three electric vehicles for Australia in 2022; Melbourne showroom opens
Hyundai’s luxury brand is planning an electric assault on the Australian market, coinciding with the expansion of its physical showroom and test-drive presence.
Genesis Australia has confirmed plans to launch its first three all-electric vehicles Down Under in the first half of 2022.
The confirmation came as part of an announcement detailing the “opening” of Genesis‘ second ‘Studio’ showroom in the Emporium Melbourne shopping centre in Melbourne’s CBD, joining the Pitt Street Mall location in Sydney, and slated to be followed by a Brisbane Studio next year,
Genesis didn’t go into detail on the identity of the new electric vehicles, though it has been confirmed the first to launch will be the Electrified G80, a large luxury sedan based on the latest-generation, combustion-powered G80.
Unveiled in April 2021, the Electrified G80 pairs two 136kW electric motors with an 87.2kWh lithium-ion battery for combined outputs of 272kW and 700Nm, sent to all four wheels for a 4.9-second 0-100km/h dash. Driving range is rated at 427km according to Korean testing procedures.
Above: Genesis GV60 spy photo.
Set to follow closely behind the electric G80 is Genesis’ first dedicated electric vehicle, expected to be called the GV60, riding on the same E-GMP ‘skateboard’ electric architecture as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.
Spy photos in recent months indicate the GV60 will draw visual inspiration from the 2019 Mint concept, with twin-bar LED headlights and tail-lights, flush-fitting retractable door handles, a rising beltline and a prominent rear spoiler.
Inside, two 12.3-inch screens will sit atop the dashboard, joined by a quirky two-spoke steering wheel, swathes of metallic trim, and camera door mirrors.
The final piece in the Genesis electric puzzle is slated to be an electric version of the recently-launched GV70 mid-size SUV, all but confirmed to wear the Electrified GV70 moniker (after the name was trademarked in Australia last month).

Details of the BMW iX3 rival are scarce, however borrowing the 272kW dual-motor powertrain could make it capable of some BMW X3 M40i and Audi SQ5-rivalling performance numbers.
A leaked product roadmap indicates the covers will come off the new Genesis GV60 by the end of 2021, with the Electrified GV70 likely to debut in late 2021 or early 2022.
Stay tuned to CarAdvice and Drive for all the latest on Genesis’ electric line-up.
Genesis opens Melbourne ‘Studio’ showroom; more test drive centres and Brisbane showroom to follow
Genesis has “opened” its second ‘Genesis Studio’ showroom, this time in the Emporium Melbourne shopping centre in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
With an 18-metre floor-to-ceiling white LED backdrop and a dark wood panelled seating area, the Korean brand claims the store “evokes the Korean aesthetic philosophy of the ‘Beauty of White Space'”.
“The new flagship Melbourne Studio showcases the latest Genesis luxury models in an artistic environment, whilst providing an exceptional customer experience, which is at the core of the Genesis Brand’s philosophy,” said Jun Heo, Genesis Motors Australia CEO.
MORE: Genesis happy with progress in Australia; reaffirms commitment
“Like our vehicles, the Studio’s progressive design evokes the distinctly Korean aesthetic philosophy ‘Beauty of White Space’. We cordially welcome all Melbournians to visit the studio and experience our unique luxury perspective for themselves.”
The Melbourne location is joined by the first Genesis Studio on Pitt Street Mall in Sydney’s CBD, and a Test Drive Centre in Parramatta, in Sydney’s west (bottom of story), which recently moved into a new, larger location (formerly occupied by a Ford showroom).
Test Drive Centres will open in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast in the fourth quarter of 2021 (October to December), ahead of a dedicated Brisbane Studio due in 2022.
In addition to the Studios and Test Drive Centres, customers can interact with the Genesis brand online through its all-online purchasing model, and its ‘Genesis to You’ concierge service that can bring test-drive cars to your house.

Cleaning The Air With The EV6 EV By Kia 2022 | Auto Dealer Locator
The fantabulous ever given out by the team Kia is draped with an ‘E-GMP’ that stands for the ‘Electric Global Modular Platform’ that serves as the sole underpinning for the Kia EV6. The charging rates of the 800 volt EV6 happens to be the most rapidly charging case ever and even though we have somewhat 300 miles of driving capabilities the rather outrageous appeal of the vehicle is a step less appealing than its predecessors.
The EV6 model being cooked by the team Kia happens not only to be the most gap-filling vehicle for the ‘Electric Vehicle’ lookers but also encourages a greener world for the environment to buy EV6 from Van Griffith KIA.
The horsepower swinging between 167 and 576 along with that falls an optional offering for the rear or an all-wheel drive, The latter part of the engine horsepower belongs to the range-topping variant and that is the EV6 GT.
Though mentioned earlier that the outer appealing look is not quite quintessential but is, moreover, more sharp and outstanding than what we saw in the predecessors and reaching soon for sale at Ron Tonkin KIA.
Price Bars And Trims Available
Short and long-term vehicle batteries would be made available along with the rear-wheel-drive powertrains and though Kia hasn’t revealed the exact deck of price cards for the EV6 the all-wheel-drive would be paired only to the latter.
Starting and topping out at a somewhat $45,000 and $55,000 would be the price fix for the EV6 at the hands of Kia. Let’s accentuate the price list juxtaposed with their trims.
